All I'm saying is that, as an artist, I've worked on a few pictures that would have thrown me into the Black Rage if I were a Blood Angel.

Saw your reblog and I just wanted to say I appreciate the input you gave! I honestly wanted to get more into specifics but I didn't know how much I could say as a non wheelchair user SDKHSDBK Anyways Arturia x Lemuen is so real and based.
I wish people would read these events jfyft when I saw that hortus cg out of context I was scared that it was gonna be some ableist bullshit too but if you actually read it especially with the added context of masses travels and her new chair it's very clear the point was that mobility aids are important and that the problem was her regular chair wasn't built to do what she needed.
I've done a little research cause I wanna write fics that reflect what it would be like for an ambulatory wheelchair user doing the job that she does with the personality Lemuen has so like obviously I don’t know more than wheelchair users and would never wanna sound like I do 😭 but it's also important to stop generalising disabilities and to actually talk about different experiences 😭😭😭 especially in this fandom where dudebros think saying the words "lemuen" and "stand" next to each other is peak comedy lmao
Also hfyfffy YES they are so real they have free reign over my mind they torment my every waking moment I love lemart so bad and will probably never stop yapping about them.

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1376
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1376 Brought to you by ANN Highlighting the September 3365 Missile Command Chrono The Gaming Authorities decided the time had come for another unlimited weapon enhanced Chrono, -this time enhancing the missiles effectiveness by 80%. Not the worst weapon event from my point of view, as a full dozen of the twoscore Mechs in my main line are primarily missileboats. But even after readjusting the shielding on all the Mechs, the question was whether we really could do a dashing figure on K3 where some of the opponents might outlicence us by as much as sixty-four. Now, since this was a Chrono, the best way to get a good placement was to sign up immediately. As we were the first to arrive, the top was ours. But other contestants soon arrived, and with KiloToneRecoil form the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons + a deadly trio from Northwind Dragons (Ken Fuchs, roward and Darryl Proctor) present, the best we could hope for was to try and hold on to one of the lower slope positions. We did not manage it all the time, but the early points we had recieved added a nice buffer against the latecomers. So when the light finally flashed, we were allowed to stand in the second line when the prizes were awarded. The highest scorers this time was: Div 1 347+ (24 Commanders): Jaime Beltran, Death Clan 1 (+29400) 2: Fabio Favaro 3: Bernard Johnson 4: Claude Poirier 5: Jeff Haas 6: Ben Rail 7: Shawn Wretham 8: Roy Cheah 9: David Buchanan 10: Gary Muenzel Div 2 -346 (7 Commanders): George Warren, Battalion 2nd Squadron (+19830) Div 3 -256 (23 Commanders): roward, Northwind Dragons (+6150) Div 4 -186 (20 Commanders): Jason Pedracini, T.B. BlackWatch (+18370) Div 5 -144 (25 Commanders): Grego, B.S.L.R. (+52900) Div 6 -103 (18 Commanders): Siegfried Gust, Black Star Bandits (+3420) Div 7 -78 (20 Commanders): Mike Andrews, Renegades (+11650) Div 8 -52 (12 Commanders): Lemartes, Deaths Squad (+11920) Div 9 -35 (20 Commanders): Captain Beefheart, Ronins 2 (+36530) Div 10 -22 (17 Commanders): Aaron Hall, Decepticons (+2470) Div 11 -14 (13 Commanders): Iaiskottelu, RED AXE (+21260) Total Contestants: 219 Total medals claimed: 152 (of 165 possible) Compared to the recent SelfSame event, fourty-four additional Commanders signed up for the fighting. But as the imbalance between the tops persisted, we still ended up with thirteen unclaimed Bronzes (from three tops). Those were later returned for resmelting. This events highest score was achieved by George Warren from Battalion 2nd Squadron on K2. 153 750 was the result he got for holding the top against all comers for 123  scorerounds. Biggest gap to the runner-up was on K5 where Grego from the Black Star Lycan Rangers won by 52 900. More than most of the contestants got in total. Lowest score needed for a medal this time was on K11 where 18960 secured a Bronze. Six Golds were secured by margins well in excess of 16 000, but there were also a couple Golds where the margin of success was below 4000. Question then becomes how close the struggles for the rest of the prizes were? Best way to find out is to look at the differences between the medal tiers in this event: ..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing Div 1 ......2240......……...........42 Div 2 ....12920...…..............N/A Div 3 ....24650...…............2000 Div 4 ......2420...…............8160 Div 5 ......5700...…............4400 Div 6 ........890...…............3600 Div 7 ....20640...…............2460 Div 8 ......5100...…..............N/A Div 9 ......8080...…..............840 Div 10 ....3360...…............6760 Div 11 ....8110...…..............N/A In general we had strong to massive walls between the medal tiers. But one of the Silvers and two of the eight contested Bronzes were decided by margins below 1000, -one of the Bronzes by as little as 42. When the margins are that low, it might well be that the difference comes from who signed up first, something to keep in mind when another Chrono comes along. This became one of the "None" events. None of the clans won more than one Gold, none of the unaligned Commanders won a Gold, and none of the last rounds winners was on a winning streak. Upcoming event: Cyclops Here we have another split event. The basic rule is that no Mechs can mass more than 95 tons. In addition. On the six highest tops the Cyclops is to shine, and each Commander is only allowed to field one non-Cyclops. Event ends November 27 between 0100 and 0130 New York Time

Prayers of Demigods - Litanies of the Adeptus Astartes
Tumblr media
After a break for the weekend lets pick up where we left off, the chief Chaplain ability, the Litanies of Battle. Litanies are war hymns sang by the faithful during a battle, led by Chaplains to extol their brothers to ever greater feats or heroism or endurance. I wont look into the individual chapter litanies today as untill we have a suite of suppliments out it wouldn’t do GW justice to compare them to the 8th edition suppliments, and the Psychic Awakening series has been removed from active rules leaving some of the 1st Founding chapters a little disadvantaged. Your stock Chaplain can recite one Litany a turn in your Command Phase on a 3+ and all know at least Litany of Hate and one other from their respective lists.  Litany of Hate is your old, possibly 6th edition, basic ability, which now requires a 3+ to recite. Unlike the old days and 8th edition this Litany now only affects CORE and CHARACTER units within 6inch of the PRIEST giving them reroll hits in combat. As a stock ability that all Chaplains know, its not like you’re upset that they all get it in addition, and can really help shore up your gunline if you get charged.
Litany of Faith is another AURA ability which is very specialised. Giving CORE and CHARACTER units a 5+ against mortal wounds. Depending on your opponent it could be a potential life saver, a much needed defense against smite spam, and other army abilities that can churn mortal wounds out. I don’t see it getting huge use in a tournament setting as unless PSYKER heavy armies suddenly shoot in power then you’re unlikely to need this litany over others.
Canticle of Hate is your last AURA ability as far as Litanies go, Again affecting CORE and CHARACTER units this is your add two to charge rolls and an extra 3 inch to consolidation and pile in. This is a good one for those reserves and deep striking units if you ca get a Chaplain into position, which is again one of the reasons I like the Primaris Chaplain on Bike but there is a way to pop this off a unit arriving as a reinforcement which I’ll hit on later.
Catechism of Fire allows you to pick a CORE or CHARACTER unit within 6. When that unit shoots the closest visible target, add one to your wound role. Now I used this to great effect in 8th on Assault Centurions, however they are no longer able to benefit as they do not have the CORE keyword. This is a good one if you’re popping down a unit of reserves next to their favoured target, or if you really need to clear that close assault unit coming at you.
Recitation of Focus is similar with a +1 to hit with ranged weapons on a CORE or CHARACTER unit within 6. Great if you’re digging a unit out of dense cover, or want your Devestators to hit aircraft at full BS. I’m interested in this one of Imperial Fists as they now do have terrain traits to deal with and only ignore the armour bonuses. In Devestator Doctrine they are very effective against vehicles and have stratagems to make them better, its nice to see the possiblity to extend this to troops in dense cover and AIRCRAFT.
Tumblr media
Exhortation of Rage does what Catechism of Fire does, but for combat only without the need for it to be the closest unit. If you fancy your army getting part of the Blood Angels Chapter Tactic for a turn this is a must, its very powerful, never wounding on less than a 5+ can’t be understated and with the changes to power weapons you could be wounding other marines on 2s... just let that sink in you combat beasts.
Tumblr media
The final Litany, Mantra of Strength only affects your Chaplain, adding one to his strength and attacks and increasing his Crosius to to a mighty 3 damage. If you’ve got Gravis sized enemies abound, he could be your beat stick. Some nice options there, but do you want it better?
Tumblr media
Your Master of Sanctity gives you two litanies a turn, and you add one to the roll for them plus you know two litanies from the list plus Litany of Hate. Two litanies on 2+ which stack on a unit or can be differant units sounds great and the possibility to combine Litany of Hate and Canticle of Hate for a reliable combat punch cant be understated. If you’ve only got the one unit that needs the litany support, maybe Exhortation of Rage and Litany of Hate, for that reroll hits and +1 to wound combo.
The other benefit Master of Sanctity gives you is the Stratagem that would normally cost 2cp now costs 1 and this is super important. Commanding Oratory is your Chaplain Epic Deed Stratagem. At the start of ANY of YOUR phases you can select a Chaplain that has not recited this turn. He can recite a litany not already recited that auto passes. On a normal Chaplain its 2cp, Master of Sanctity it costs 1. This stratagem is HUGE That reinforcement unit that appeared half way up the board with a Chaplain can now have a litany giving them the +2 to charge maybe, or the +1 to wound closest target after you picked where they arrived. I’ll happily use Chaplains in Drops Pods jumping out with squads on turn one and hitting that plus one to wound.... heavy flamer Blood Angel Devestators anyone? Maybe you like Terminators and want to use that new fancy model GW just previewed for Warhammer Day this weekend, fine use him and a squad of Assault Terminators or, dare I say, Deathwing Knights?
Tumblr media
Forget your litany in your Command Phase, here’s your penalty, pay for you mistake or do you fancy suprising your opponent by reciting a litany in the Fight Phase after he’s let you through without overwatch in the Charge Phase because you weren’t a threat, maybe Mantra of Strength yourself? Yeah its super reliable, as it goes off automatically, and I’ll be looking at my collection with a new light, from my Primaris to my Firstborn, they are a great force multiplier and shouldn’t be underestimated.  Now my final thought.... just imagine your 1st Founding non compliant Chaplains, Lemartes and Astorath of the Blood Angels with their unique rules and interplay with DEATH COMPANY.
Tumblr media
The Dark Angels with Asmodai and Interrogator Chaplains with their LD debuffs. Some of which can recite those Litanies already recited though with some restrictions.
Tumblr media
Tomorrow I’ll start the look at the Librarius, which will be a few posts there’s a lot there. Until then repent your sins in front of you Chaplains, swear your oaths of moment and board your drop pods, battle awaits. ‘To the darkness I bring fire. To the ignorant I bring faith. Those who welcome these gifts may live, but I will visit naught but death and eternal damnation on those who refuse them.’

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1292
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1292
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the August 3361 Sixty Skirmish
The Gaming Authorities allowed us to use slightly heavier Mechs this time, -the upper limit was increased from 55 to 60 tons.
Not a telling difference for me. Yes, I could if I wanted use the suicidal Namtars, or the fiery Pyrophoruses, or even the Buchis. But in my mind all of those models were inferior to the Nephilax, so I just kept the formation from the Warg event (with some slight updates to the armament.).
We arrived early on the mountains and got a spot on the slopes. But as this was a sudden death event, there was really no point in gaining fame by hitting the opponents early. Besides, many of them might have better formations avialiable, as it was several of them were in what looked like their main formations.
As the scramble aproached, it was time to return to the arena. My crew had managed to cling to the slopes, and lightened up as I arrived. According to the notes they had taken, it should be possible to claim the top, although we might need several tries.
A glance at the top confirmed the second part, -that several tries would be needed. On the top stood Brian Waughan of The Brotherhood BlackWatch, and despite me having a licence two dozen higher, beating him in any venue is a task I really have problems with. But, -given some help from the RNG gods it might be doable, and after some solid failures and some close shaves we could finally raise the Star League pennant on the top.
The crew was in a good mood, setting up recording equipment, high-fiving and breaking out the champagne. I tried to get them back in the Mechs, after all, there were lots of opponents below that would like to gain the top, but they continued the early celebration.
Well, it turned out that none of the other Commanders stirred, so we kept the spot. And the footage taken showed that the rest of the winners had been:
Div 1 361+ (27 Commanders): Shawn Wretham, Nemesis (35m,40s) 2: Claude Poirier 3: Fabio Favaro 4: Daniel Scott 5: Sherriff Leary Wretham 6: Bernard Johnson 7: Were Wolf 8: Joe Kump 9: Mk Mathews 10: Christine Mainer Div 2 -360 (12 Commanders): Makema Mathews, "R.V." (4h,52m) Div 3 -268 (16 Commanders): Roman Himmelhan, Death`s Collectors (9h,16m) Div 4 -197 (17 Commanders): Sten Hugo Hiller, Star League (11m,17s) Div 5 -153 (24 Commanders): David McCallum, Heroes (5m,49s) Div 6 -110 (18 Commanders): Robert Pawulski, Ronins (4h,17m) Div 7 -81 (18 Commanders): Stug Hill, Behemoth (3m,17m) Div 8 -55 (12 Commanders): Lemartes, Deaths Hecklers (1h,57m) Div 9 -37 (14 Commanders): AutonomusDrone, Ronins 2 (17m,11s) Div 10 -24 (16 Commanders): Captain Beefheart, Ronins 2 (22h,35m) Div 11 -15 (13 Commanders): thiwul, RED AXE (1d,14h)
1+6+8(1S)+5+2+2+3+3(1S)+1+1(S)+0= Three Silvers and twenty-nine Bronzes were awarded to commanders who obviously had overweight Mechs in their formations.
Total Contestants: 187 Total medals claimed: 156 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the recent Wolfpack event, the number of Commanders present was increased by nine. But while the imbalance between the tops were less pronounced, we still saw nine Bronzes from four tops ending unclaimed and returned for resmelting.
The last half-hour saw a quartet of Gold medals changing hands at least once, while five Golds were held for more than two hours, one of them for more than a day. So we had some fighting, and some solid winners. But how close was the fighting for the rest of the prizes this time? Best way to find out is to look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....1 of 4.........6 of 10 Div 2 ....4 of 4.........7 of 7 Div 3 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 4 ....3 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 5 ....0 of 4.........6 of 10 Div 6 ....2 of 4.........9 of 10 Div 7 ....3 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 8 ....4 of 4.........7 of 7 Div 9 ....3 of 4.........9 of 9 Div 10 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10 Div 11 ..4 of 4.........8 of 8
Not especially fierce. On five tops (K2, K3 K8, K10 and K11) there were no successfull medal attacks, and on another trio of the tops (K4, K7 and K9) there was just the Gold fight. The sole top where most of the medals changed hands was K5, but there was hard fighting on Mount Olympus as well.
The only clan to claim more than one win this time were Ronins 2. They won on both K9 and K10. None of the unaligned Commanders managed to claim a Gold, neither did any of the Warg winners follow up their success by claiming another Gold.
Upcoming event: Classics Chrono
This is a step back to the olden days when the biggest Mech around was the 65 ton Smilidon. Of course, some additional Mechs have been made since then, even among the below 70 ton models, but this is a close as we get to how it was back then. So. No Mechs heavier than 65 tons is allowed, and as it is a Chrono, just sign up now, and get the formation ready later. Remember, in a Chrono every point you earn will put you closer to the (good) prizes.
Event ends July 27 between 0100 and 0130 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1266
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1266
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the March 3360 King Chrono
The Gaming Authorities decided another unlimited Chrono was just the thing to give us as the Clan war drew closer.
I was not so sure that was the best choice. This would be the third Unlimited Chrono in the last nine events, so it was getting a bit old. Further, the last days before the war is when one is supposed to touch up the various formations one will use, and doing so during a Chrono tend to cost placement and points.
Then there was the minor fact of the last 18-20 scorerounds being held during the first battleday, something specialists were sure to curse. The last was not a problem for me as I was not deemed worthy to carry one of the specialist slots, and my formations were already pretty current.
No, my problem was on another level, specifically the strong opponents I faced on K4. While we signed up and claimed the top almost right away, soon we were pushed downwards by overwhelmingly strong opponents. Neither KiloTone Recoil from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons nor roward of the Black Star Lycan Rangers are opponents I can normally beat. Ok, give me 100 shots at KiloTone or 60 vs roward in a sudden death, and I just might beat them and have the event end immediately after. But in a Chrono? No way I could hope to outscore them.
Other strong contenders like Leopold Hackenbush from the Death`s Collectors, Ales Hasala from Black Star Lycan Rangers, and Joshua Bourne + Jason Pedracini who arrived a bit later was also capable of beating me, but I could probably beat them in 2-5 tries.
As the climb wore on, my forces were elevating between the lower slopes and the higher foothills. But the early start and early points gave me enough of an edge to claim a place in the second rank when the prizes were distributed.
The highest scorers this time was:
Div 1 425+ (23 Commanders): Jaime Beltran, Nemesis (+15120) 2: Dexter Berry 3: Fabio Favaro 4: Bernard Johnson 5: Ben Rail 6: Roy Cheah 7: Claude Poirier 8: Terry Cole 9: Shawn Wretham 10: Jeff Haas Div 2 -424 (19 Commanders): Mike Wach, B.o.A.D. (+21180) Div 3 -322 (9 Commanders): Don Lindley, Spirit of Bunny (+7830) Div 4 -235 (24 Commanders): KiloToneRecoil, B.o.A.D. (+1360) Div 5 -174 (31 Commanders): Spike Shepard, T.B. BlackWatch (+12330) Div 6 -123 (27 Commanders): Scott Abbott, Chess Dragons (+19980) Div 7 -91 (24 Commanders): Daniel Chung, Chess Dragons (+10220) Div 8 -61 (15 Commanders): Lemartes, Karma II (+15640) Div 9 -37 (15 Commanders): Norbert Harjadi, I.N.A. (+14560) Div 10 -23 (16 Commanders): Michael Telladria, I.N.A. (+15640) Div 11 -12 (16 Commanders): evanw, RED AXE (+16720)
Total Contestants: 219 Total medals claimed: 159 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the Oggun event just passed, the number of Commanders fighting for prizes rose by fourty-seven. But there was a curious lack of commanders on K3, and as a result six of the Bronzes there ended unclaimed and were returned for resmelting.
Highest score achieved in this event was 115 000. Three commanders managed to claim the top and stay there for the full 92 scorerounds of the climb: Lemartes of Karma II on K8, Michael Telladria from the Indo Nusa Alliance on K10 and RED AXE`s evanw on K11. Biggest gap to the runner-up was on K2 where Mike Wach from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons ended 21 180 in front. Lowest score needed for a medal was on K9 where 3800 was enough to claim the last Bronze.
Eight Golds were secured by a score advantage of at lest 12 000, but we also had one decided by as little as 1360. That is not much more than one uninterupted scoreround at the top while the opponent have not signed up yet. Question one might ask is: Was the fighting for the rest of the prizes closer? Best way to find out is to look at the differences between the medal tiers in this event:
..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing
Div 1 ......2460......…….....1740 Div 2 ......4640...…..............940 Div 3 ......1690...…..............N/A Div 4 ......6460...…............6200 Div 5 ......6700...…............2200 Div 6 ........170...…..............820 Div 7 ....17000...…............2880 Div 8 ....11060...…..............N/A Div 9 ......8000...…..............N/A Div 10 ....2360...…............5160 Div 11 ....8020...…............8460
In general pretty big to downright impressive walls here. But one of the Silvers and two of the eight contested Bronzes were determined by less than 1000. When the differences are that small, it could well be due to who signed up first.
This time a trio of clans managed to claim a Double Gold: The Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons on K2 and K4, the Chess Dragons on K6 and K7 and the Indo Nusa Alliance on K9 and K10. None of the unaligned commanders managed to claim a Gold, neither did any of the Oggunn champions get a follow-up win.
Upcoming event: Front Line Fight
The traditional Mid-war event. Only the front (rightmost) line of Mechs will be engaging the opponents, so Trample is worthless. Splash, Fork and Wide Fork will however be really useful, so be sure to adjust the formation accordingly.
Event ends June 16 between 1000 and 1030 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1211 -March 3357 Red Tons Chrono
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1211
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the March 3357 Red Tons Chrono
This time the Gaming Authorities wanted to put us through the paces in a Marathon Ant event. Well, not purely, we were allowed to bring one other mech along, and could choose wether that was to be an Anzu or a Warhorse.
I decided on a pure Ant force, as their targeting were superior. The speed on the other hand left quite a bit to be desired...
As soon as the signup were done, it occured to me this was a really bad idea. Fighting on K3 against opponents having higher licences is not a novel experience, but in an Ant event where all the opponents have full formations the winner is normally the one who bring most Ants, having most weapons and thickest armor.
On the other hand, this was after all a Chrono, and as I was one of the early arrivals, there was a (admittedly small) chance of doing wll even so. All it would take was for others to be late signer-ons, and/or be out of formation.
As it turned out, my forces were gradually pushed to the lower slopes and to the foothills, but in the end we had gained enough points to stand in the second rank when the prizes were awarded.
Those who scored highest in the event were:
Div 1 405+ (21 Commanders): Ben Rail, Winter`s Coming (+2780) 2: Fabio Favaro 3: Sal Vezzosi Jr 4: Bernard Johnson 5: Jeff Haas 6: Shawn Wretham 7: Terry Cole 8: Don Davis 9: Daniel Scott 10: Gary Muenzel Div 2 -404 (14 Commanders): Jay Fleharty, B.o.A.D. (+8030) Div 3 -301 (10 Commanders): Ales Hasala, B.S.L.R. (+19170) Div 4 -222 (21 Commanders): Darryl Proctor, Northwind Dragons (+11170) Div 5 -167 (24 Commanders): Grego, Black Star Bandits (+23290) Div 6 -120 (21 Commanders): Shane Walker, Ronins (+11630) Div 7 -88 (28 Commanders): Jack Travis, Ronins (+6400) Div 8 -57 (13 Commanders): Mathew Le Gassick, Jagdstaffel 2 (+11000) Div 9 -36 (19 Commanders): Lemartes, Karma (+33080) Div 10 -21 (13 Commanders): Peter Burchanowski, p3@c3 (+22240) Div 11 -12 (17 Commanders): Johnny Fides Oliveros, Lovera (+23860)
4 (G,2S)+7(1S)+5+3+3(1S)+2+2(1S)+10(G,2S)+5+8(1S)+1= Two Golds, eight Silvers and fourty Bronzes was awarded to Commanders who obviously had overweight Mechs in their formations when the event ended,
Total Contestants: 201 Total medals claimed: 157 (of 165 possible)
This event saw a rise in participation of 33 Commanders compared to the Lightning strike event we just had. But there was some imbalances between the tops, so a total of eight Brionzes from a trio of tops ended unclaimed and were returned for resmelting.
The highest score achieved in the event was on K11 where Johnny Fidel Olivera held the top for 134 scorerounds, ending up at 167 500 -way above anyone else. The biggest margin to the runner-up was on K9 where Lemartes of Karma ended 33 080 in front. Lowest score needed for a medal this time were on K2. There the last claimed Bronze went for 1980.
Only four winners won by margins in excess of 16 000, and on Mount Olympus the Gold were secured by a margin as low as 2780. So not too solid margins on the top, but what were the differences between the other medal tiers in this event?
..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing Div 1 ......4290......………..3960 Div 2 ......1770...….........…..N/A Div 3 ....14700...….........…..N/A Div 4 ......3640...…............4540 Div 5 ....13070...….........…..660 Div 6 ....38240...…............2580 Div 7 ...…..370...….........…..940 Div 8 ...…..870...….........…..N/A Div 9 ......3980...…............6180 Div 10 ..17100...….........…..N/A Div 11 ..13000...…............8140
In general pretty solid walls, but a couple of the Silvers and a pair of the seven contested Bronzes were decided by mmargins less than 1000. Could be the score differences there owned most if not all to who signed up first.
The only clan to return having won multiple Golds were the Ronins. They claimed the top prizes from K6 and K7. None of the unaligned Commanders managed to get a Gold, but we had two repeat winners; Grego of the Black Star bandits on K5 and Peter Burchanowski from p3@c3 on K10

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1194 -  March 3356 Fire and Ice
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184)
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1194

Highlighting the March 3356 Fire and Ice
The Gaming Authorities decided to let us have an event where we could use all our Mechs again. But they added a couple twists, both the Icers and the Flamers would dish out serious additional damage. (+80%)
Well, nothing much to do about that. There are only so many top Mechs and weapons in the hangar. Putting say an Incinerator (now dishing out 145 damage) on a Laser Mech to replace an Opening Beam delivering 93 (172) damage (after boosts) is counterproductive.
But I doubted many of the opponents had lots of top Icers and Flamers lying idle in their hangars either, so this would probably be close to a regular KotM strenghtwise.
Which put me in a difficult spot once again. My forces were to struggle on K3 where all of the regulars would outlicence me, some perhaps by more than 70.
But that worry disappered when we arrived at the Mountains. KiloTone Recoil from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons and David Sifford of the Northwind Dragons are plenty to strong for most opponents, and there were plenty of other Commanders nearly as deadly as that duo there as well.
Question here would be if we managed to get a prize at all.
My forces managed to secure a spot on the slopes, and were left there for the time being. As the scramble aproached it was time to return, and the formation had been displaced to the top foothill.
A good position for a strike vs the top, but Sifford`s Mechs are way tougher than mine, and wasting attacks in a vain hope of Gold when we would be hard pressed to get a Silver seemed foolhardy. KiloToneRecoil on the top slope was out for the same reason, so that left Darren Jackson from Myth and Legends Team Banzai and a duo from Black Star Lycan Rangers; roward and Ales Hasala as possible targets.
A couple catastrophic reversals vs Jackson left no doubt about his strenght, so I went for the lighter of the two others, -Hasala.
It took quite a few tries, but finally we were back on the slopes. Now, there were still some time until the scramble proper would start, and I felt we had a big target painted on us. Which of the many strong Commanders would blast us out of position?
As it happened, none did, and when the light flashed we had gotten enough footage to know those who got fresh Nephilaxes this time were
Div 1 341+ (28 Commanders): Dexter Berry, Fusion Rejuvenated (11s)
2: Jaime Beltran
3: Fabio Favaro
4: Claude Poirier
5: Bernard Johnson
6: Gary Muenzel
7: Jeff Haas
8: David Buchanan
9: Mk Mathews
10: Shawn Wretham
Div 2 -340 (10 Commanders): George Warren, B.o.A.D. (8h,26m)
Div 3 -259 (18 Commanders): David Sifford, Northwind Dragons (19h,8m)
Div 4 -184 (19 Commanders): Joshua Bourne, Northwind Dragons (1h,26m)
Div 5 -142 (27 Commanders): Spike Shepard, T.B. BlackWatch (18h,54m)
Div 6 -101 (23 Commanders): Fj Bros, Diamond Dragons (1h,43m)
Div 7 -75 (21 Commanders): Kyle Mardon, Renegades (10h,55m)
Div 8 -50 (13 Commanders): Aliera Smith, JC`s Rowdy Bunch (10h,39m)
Div 9 -34 (15 Commanders): Lemartes, Horsemen Squadron (4h,33m)
Div 10 -21 (14 Commanders): Steve_Boren, Horsemen Squadron (13h,55m)
Div 11 -12 (11 Commanders): Taros80 (19h,56m)
Total Contestants: 199
Total medals claimed: 153 (of 165 possible)
The number of Commanders showing up to compete here was just one shy of what we had in the recent Chrono.
But the imbalance between the tops were somewhat worse this time, so a dozen Bronzes from four tops ended unclaimed and were returned for resmelting.
The last half-hour saw only the Gold on Mount Olympus being fought over, a fight that was decided in the last quarter-minute. Eight of the other Golds were held for longer than two hours.
So, was this solid winners, or a case of exhaustion after the Chrono? Hard to say, but one can get a better idea after looking at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....2 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 2 ....4 of 4.........5 of 5
Div 3 ....4 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 4 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 5 ....4 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 6 ....2 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 7 ....3 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 8 ....2 of 4.........6 of 8
Div 9 ....3 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 10 ..4 of 4.........9 of 9
Div 11 ..4 of 4.........6 of 6
A pretty quiet event. Four tops (K2, K4, K10 and K11) without even a single succesfull medal attack, and the total number of Medals finding fresh holders on the rest of the tops was a total of eight Silvers and fifteen Bronzes.
The only clan who managed to bring home more than one Gold in this event was the Horsemen Squadron. They won on K9 and K10. We also had an unaligned winner; Taros80 on K11. Making a name for himself just in time for the upcoming war.
None of the Chrono winners managed to get a follow-up Gold.
Upcoming event: Orcus
Here we again have a split event.
On the two lowest tops (K10 and K11) anything goes.
On the rest of the tops the only legal model is the 35 ton Orcus.
Event ends February 17 between 2330 and 2400 New York Time

Highlighting the February 3356 Half Centennial
This time the Gaming Authorities decided we were to use Mechs massing 50 tons or less.
Of course I have a formation for such an event, but it have precious few 50 tonners in it. Just a couple of Fides.
Reason is that in my mind neither the Oggun nor the Daemon (or the Luison) can quite match the Nephilax or the Novum.
So essentially, it is my Snoozer formation (40 tonners) that gets called up, consisting of one line Novums and filled up using Nephilax. Here four of them get swapped out using the mentioned pair of Fides and another pair of Dread.
As usual, getting the weaponery updated took a while, but just as the scramble were to start we arrived at the mountains.
We were again pitted against superior forces (at least Licence vise) on K3, but like in many other events it seemed quite a few of the opponents had failed to read the rules of engagement.
Only five opponents (of 14) were in what looked like correct formations. Brian Vaughan from The Brotherhood Blackwatch held the lowest slope, but his licence were lower than mine and a couple strikes later my forces had displaced him.
The other three slopes were held by Ales Hasala from the Black Star Lycan Rangers, and a scary pair from the Northwind Dragons; Terry harper and KiloToneRecoil.
All of them had quite an Licence advantage on me, and their formations outmassed mine by 100-600 tons.
Not that I had any intention of striking for the other slopes, after all a Silver is a Silver. No, I wanted the Gold, so my crosshairs centered on the top and the attack order were given.
-And nothing happened.
A quick look confirmed what I had suspected. The top were held by my clanmate, Able Hunter, so the Blue on Blue inhibitors refused to let me fire.
So be it, we would stay quiet for now, and strike at any who dared take the top from him. In the meantime we could at least get footage from the fighting on the other tops.
But as Able kept the others at bay, we were still at the slopes when the light flashed.
At least we knew the list of Nephilax winners were:
Div 1 364+ (28 Commanders): Bernard Johnson, Warlock (21s)
2: Jeff Haas
3: Claude Poirier
4: Fabio Favaro
5: Sal Vezzosi Jr
6: Terry Cole
7: Sherriff Leary Wretham
8: Ben Rail
9: Daniel Scott
10: Were Wolf
Div 2 -363 (7 Commanders): Paul Knight, Spirit of Bunny (16h,1m)
Div 3 -268 (15 Commanders): Able Hunter, Star League (26m,19s)
Div 4 -199 (19 Commanders): Joshua Bourne, Northwind Dragons (7h,55m)
Div 5 -152 (18 Commanders): Tarandriel, Death`s Stalkers (17m,22s)
Div 6 -106 (25 Commanders): Mike Slowenski, Emerald Dragons (9m,3s)
Div 7 -80 (18 Commanders): Fredo Gustavo, Renegades (23m,15s)
Div 8 -52 (11 Commanders): Nick Walter, **R.V.** (6h,25m)
Div 9 -35 (16 Commanders): Lemartes, Horsemen Squadron (7h,32m)
Div 10 -22 (14 Commanders): Matthew Kingsburry, Horsemen Squadron (2h,22m)
Div 11 -11 (13 Commanders): Gayuti Moonreal, Mad Scientist 1 (9h,5m)
0+3(1S)+9+1+3+0+3+3+3+0+0= One Silver and twenty-four Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who obviously had trans-50 tonners in their formations.
Total Contestants: 184
Total medals claimed: 150 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the previous (Axe Bot) event, the participation were increased by thirty-two Commanders.
Even this influx proved insufficent to claim all the prizes, and after the award ceremony a total of fifteen Bronzes from four tops were returned for resmelting.
The last half-hour saw five Golds changing hands at least once, one of them not decided until less than a half-minute remained. The other six Golds were firmly held for at least two hours.
So we had some solid fighting, and some strong winners. But how hard were the struggles for the lesser prizes this time? An answer can be found by looking at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....0 of 4.........2 of 10
Div 2 ....4 of 4.........2 of 2
Div 3 ....3 of 4.........3 of 10
Div 4 ....3 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 5 ....2 of 4.........7 of 10
Div 6 ....0 of 4.........2 of 10
Div 7 ....0 of 4.........6 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.........4 of 6
Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 10 ..3 of 4.........7 of 9
Div 11 ..4 of 4.........8 of 8
Again we had a trio of tops without succesfull medal attacks. This time it was K2, K9 and K11.
But again we had many tops where most of the medals found fresh hands: Mount Olympus, K3, K6 and K7. The action on the rest of the tops varied from slow to decent.
The only clan who managed to get more than one Gold in this event were the Horsemen Squadron. They won on both K9 and K10. None of the unaligned Commanders managed to get a Gold, neither did any of the Axe Bot winners.
Upcoming event: Fourty Chrono
Here we get yet another event where the Gaming Authorities places an upper limit of the tonnage each individual Mech can have, -here 40 tons.
But it is a Chrono as well, so sign up immediately, and get the correct formation over soonest.
Event ends February 10 between 1600 and 1630 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1184 - December 3355 King Chrono
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184)
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1184
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the December 3355 King Chrono
As the year drew toward a close, the Gaming Authorities decided to let us have free reign on the tops. No restrictions, but they would monitor our accomplishments.
In other words, a King Chrono.
As always when a Chrono is announced, -especially if my forces are on the low end of the scale licence vise, the first available formation were dispatched to the mountain.
Getting some points immediately is important, and can make a difference in the end tally.
Of course, getting into correct formation soonest and replacing the placeholder on the mountains is also necessary, as well as periodic visits and attacks to rise as high as you can..
Well, the first and second part were easy as my main formation were in current use, and the top were claimed. Visiting were a bit more difficult, and beating (some of) the opponents proved somewhat above my means.
Soon KiloToneRecoil from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons and roward from the Black Star Lycan Rangers started competing for the top, and not long after a strong duo from the Northwind Dragons; -Ken Fuchs and Terry Harper, also proved too strong for my forces.
That left me the lowest slope position as what I could realisticly claim, and other strong opponents pushed me from that spot from time to time as well.
But although they might displace us, we were able to come back, and when the fighting entered the last leg my score advantage were sufficient to guarantee a Silver.
The recording we had done underway let us see that those who had the highest scores this time had been:
Div 1 334+ (30 Commanders): Dexter Berry, Warlock (+13420)
2: Fabio Favaro
3: Ben Rail
4: Bernard Johnson
5: Jeff Haas
6: Terry Cole
7: Shawn Wretham
8: Gary Muenzel
9: George Warren
10: Claude Poirier
Div 2 -339 (11 Commanders): David Sifford, Northwind Dragons (+27460)
Div 3 -256 (20 Commanders): KiloToneRecoil, B.o.A.D. (+1560)
Div 4 -191 (21 Commanders): Joshua Bourne, Northwind Dragons (+9190)
Div 5 -144 (19 Commanders): Spike Shepard, T.B. BlackWatch (+10680)
Div 6 -101 (30 Commanders): Fj Bros, Diamond Dragons (+17960)
Div 7 -76 (16 Commanders): Fredo Gustavo, Renegades (+14440)
Div 8 -52 (14 Commanders): Brick House, MurderMechs (+1400)
Div 9 -34 (16 Commanders): Lemartes, Horsemen Squadron (+440)
Div 10 -21 (15 Commanders): Cathy Goetz, I.N.A. (+24180)
Div 11 -14 (17 Commanders): Edward Kenway, Creepypasta (+2080)
Total Contestants: 209
Total medals claimed: 160 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the recent Selfsame event there were fifteen additional Commanders showing up.
Of course, the ever present imbalance between the tops were still in force, this time resulting in five Bronzes from two tops ending unclaimed. Those medals were returned for resmelting after the award ceremony.
The highest score achieved in this event was on K7 where Fredo Gustavo of the Renegades stayed on the top for sixty-eight scorerounds, getting a total score of 85 000. The biggest gap to the runner-up was on K2 where Northwind Dragons David Siffoord won by 27 460.
Lowest score needed for a medal was on K8, where 4400 was enough to snag a Bronze.
Six Golds were won by margins (well) over 10 000. But there were also three Golds decided by less than 2500, one of them by as little as 440.
So we had fighting toward the bitter end on at least some of the tops. But was the fighting as close for the lesser prizes as well? To find out, all we have to do is look at the differences between the medal tiers in this event:
..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing
Div 1 ......3780......………..1060
Div 2 ...…..340...….........…..N/A
Div 3 ....11520...…............4460
Div 4 ....10910...….........…..540
Div 5 ......4860...…............2460
Div 6 ......1440...…............1360
Div 7 ......1960...…............4020
Div 8 ....11620...….........…..N/A
Div 9 ......3660...…............5580
Div 10 ….6480...….........…..N/A
Div 11 ….6960...…............3520
In general, solid to impressive walls. But one of the Silvers were decided by just 340 and one of the eight contested Bronzes by 540.
That is close enough to have been decided by who joined up a few score rounds ahead.
The sole clan to claim more than one win in this event was Northwind Dragons. They got a double Gold, from K2 and K4.
And while none of the unaligned Commanders managed to get a win this time, the Northwind Dragons had a repeat winner as well; David Sifford on K2.
Upcoming event: 10 Red Tons
The difference from the Red Ant Blitz we had in November is negligible. In that event we were allowed to use one 15 tonner, while the rest of the Mechs had to be Red Ants.
Here we are only allowed to use 10 tonners. And as the only 10 ton model are the Red Ants.....
Event ends February 5 between 0330 and 0400 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1173 -June 3355 Front Line Fight
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184)
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1173
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the June 3355 Front Line Fight
As usual when there was an ongoing war, the Gaming Authorities decided to hold an event where Commanders who had gotten most of their Mechs reduced to scrap could compete; a Frontline event.
Truth to tell, this time all I really registred was the fact that the event would begin two hours after battleday two had ended.
Being busy directing a war, thoughts of how to fight on the Mountains had to be shelved until the scramble aproached.
Yeah, right.
Then the second Battle ended in an overtime, and my prospects were suddenly very bleak indeed.
Point one. I was scheduled to fight on K3 where everyone had Licences at least 25 higher than mine, some even 75 higher. The sole consilation was that due to low attendance I would probably get a medal anyway.
Point two. In the ongoing war, my speciality was low tonnage. While I love my Novums, expecting a line consisting of five of them to survive going toe to toe against six BFM`s is sheer folly.
-But unless I wanted to be out of formation in the war, that seemed to be what I had to do.
A third, risky option, existed: Going into main, hitting war opponents every two minutes to be imune from counterattacks, and fighting like a maniac on the top.
The drawback to this strategy was that while a formation always is fresh on the Mountains, damage taken there would be present in the war. Further, two minutes would not be enough to fully heal between the battles, and I owed my clanmates not to throw the war for personal gains.
I did make one attack in the war, and then decided to hit on the opposing teams (Rigel Rangers) top guy; Makema Mathews on the mountains.
While my full formation was no match for his, my frontline had a couple wrecks left while his was vanquished, and a spot on the slopes was mine.
Then it was back to my low tonnage formation, and praying to the RNG gods that it would end before someone noticed a light snack sitting there.
My prayers were heard, and the scanning I had done for potential threaths had revealed that those who rose highest this time had been:
Div 1 372+ (33 Commanders): Dexter Berry, The Borg (5s)
2: Jaime Beltram
3: Jeff Haas
4: Fabio Favaro
5: Gary Muenzel
6: Don Davis
7: Roy Cheah
8: Stuart Myshrall
9: Mike Wach
10: Mk Mathews
Div 2 -371 (15 Commanders): Jim Faust, Canibus Corp (29m,30s)
Div 3 -274 (14 Commanders): roward, 6914th A.S.C.B. (1h,45m)
Div 4 -204 (19 Commanders): Darren Jackson, Capella (10s)
Div 5 -158 (39 Commanders): Shane Walker, Regor (29m,57s)
Div 6 -110 (20 Commanders): Brian Patenaude, Chaos Star (2m,41s)
Div 7 -84 (40 Commanders): Markus Eisenhand, Renegades (38m,20s)
Div 8 -56 (14 Commanders): Mark DoktorVon Rickter, M&L A.R.S.E. (1d,8h)
Div 9 -36 (17 Commanders): Lemartes, Gacrux (14h,58m)
Div 10 -24 (17 Commanders): igbryce78, *R.V.* (2d,9h)
Div 11 -15 (19 Commanders): Sensori Lykos, Creepypasta (2h7m)
Total Contestants: 247
Total medals claimed: 163 (of 165 possible)
Even compared to the popular pre-war Chrono we held, the crowd of fighting Commanders increased by sixteen.
Unfortunately, the imbalance between the tops were still present, and two Bronzes (0ne from K3 and one from K8) ended unclaimed, and were later returned for resmelting.
The last half-hour saw five Golds changing hands at least once, two of them not decided until handfuls of seconds remained. Four Golds wer held for more than two hours, two of them for more than a day.
Was these differences due to some winners being overwhelmingly strong, or was it more a lack of fighting? Hard to say, but an indication can be found by looking at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....0 of 4.........7 of 10
Div 2 ....2 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 3 ....3 of 4.........7 of 9
Div 4 ....0 of 4.........5 of 10
Div 5 ....1 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 6 ....3 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 7 ....3 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.........9 of 9
Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 10 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 11 ..4 of 4.......10 of 10
This time we had four tops (K8, K9, K10 and K11) witout any medal attacks, while K6 had just the Gold strike.
On the flip side, both Mount Olympus and K4 had excellent fighting where the majority of the Medals found fresh holders.
As usually happens in the frontline events, none of the clans managed to bring home more than one Gold.
None of the unaligned Commanders managed to grab a Gold this time, but we had one repeat winner; Shane Walker, currently in Gacrux colors.
Upcoming event: Point Mech Panic
The traditional end of war tournament.
Here only a single Mech will fight, the one in the Point Mech position (Uppermost, rightmost)
Selecting the best Mech you have and lavishing all the best Equipment and weapons on it is however just a start for those who want (good) prizes.
Traditionally, these contests are wild furballs, so bringing a big bag of hatorades must be considered a neccecity as well.
Event ends January 22 between 1400 and 1430 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1147 - February 3354 Fides Chrono
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184)
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1147
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the February 3354 Fides Chrono
The Gaming Authorities decided to have a Mech specific Chrono event this time, featuring the 50 ton Fides.
To bring in a bit of variation, a Commander was allowed to bring one non-Fides as well, provided it massed no more than 50 tons.
-That was, unless you fought on K10 or K11, there was no restrictions on those two tops.
For me, the event was quite chaotic.
Firstly it took some time to get in contact with the compound, and there were only two Fides`es there so a Novum was sent along as a scout to try and spot any ambushes.
When the Mechs arrived at the arena, most of the opponents had quite a bit of tonnage on me, but as much of that tonnage was in illegal Mechs, we managed to grab a spot on the slopes.
The top was held by Ken Fuchs, currently under contract to the Abominable, and there was no way my puny force could handle his forces (but believe me, we tried)
The rest of the Climb was spent trying to keep on the slopes, (a few dozen unsuccesfull tries for the top were launched as well) and getting footage of the fighting.
So when the light finally flashed, I knew the highest scorers this time had been:
Div 1 308+ (27 Commanders): Sherrif Leary Wretham, Abominable (+24860)
2: Gary Muenzel
3: Ben Rail
4: Jeff Haas
5: Christine Mainer
6: Were Wolf
7: Dan Ross
8: Robert C Goetz Sr
9: Jay Fleharty
10: Claude Poirier
Div 2 -307 (9 Commanders): Stroker Spot, Winter`s Coming… FW (+19910)
Div 3 -199 (16 Commanders): Ken Fuchs, Abominable (+11630)
Div 4 -159 (12 Commanders): Jason Pedracini, Pandemic Legion FW (+3630)
Div 5 -130 (11 Commanders): Msteven Salo, M&L Psycho Squad (+3890)
Div 6 -96 (20 Commanders): Mike Slowenski, Emerald Dragons (+10260)
Div 7 -72 (12 Commanders): Mike Andrews, Lokta-Volterra (+2210)
Div 8 -54 (7 Commanders): Frank Drummond, The Grinch Grenadiers (+1820)
Div 9 -36 (13 Commanders): Mathew Le Gassick, I.N.A. (+10690)
Div 10 -25 (13 Commanders): Lemartes, The Grinch Grenadiers (+14460)
Div 11 -15 (13 Commanders): Cathy Goetz, The Grinch Grenadiers (+14310)
On the nine tops where it was supposed to be mostly Fides
2(G,1S)+0+1(S)+1+4(G,3S)+4(G,2S)+1(S)+5(G,3S)+5(3S)= Four Golds, fourteen Silvers and five Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who at the end of the climb had formations that might have contained only legal Mechs.
Total Contestants: 153
Total medals claimed: 135 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the 70 ton event we just had, the number of fighting formations was increased by three.
But that was still way to few to claim all the medals, and when the imbalance between the tops entered the picture as well everyone knew the number of returned medals would be high. In the end, a total of thirty Bronzes from eight tops were returned for resmelting.
The highest score achieved in this event was on K2 where Stroker Spot from Winter`s Coming… FW held the top for sixty-seven rounds to amass 83 750. The biggest gap to the runner-up was on Mount Olympus where Abominable`s Sherriff Leary Wretham won by 24860.
Lowest score needed for a medal was on K11 where 1440 was enough to get a Bronze.
This time seven of the Golds were won by margins in excess of 10 000, but we also had a couple who won by less than 2500.
So , at least on some of the tops the struggle for the top prizes was pretty close, but what was the situation on the lesser prizes? To find out, we examine the differences between the medal tiers in this event:
..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing
Div 1 ......5910......…………...40
Div 2 ...…..480...….........…..N/A
Div 3 ......3780...…..........10040
Div 4 ......1180...….........…..N/A
Div 5 ......4170...….........…..N/A
Div 6 ......8000...…............1940
Div 7 ......2520...….........…..N/A
Div 8 ....15810...….........….N/A
Div 9 ......3340...….........…..N/A
Div 10 ….1920...….........…..N/A
Div 11 ….5370...….........…..N/A
Decent to big walls in general, but one Silver was decided by less than 500, and one of the three contested Bronzes by as little as 40.
When the margins are that low, it is probable that the one pulling the shortest straw was the last to sign up, -something to keep in mind when another Chrono comes around.
Abominable did well this time, and grabbed the Gols from both Mount Olympus and K3. However, the grinch Grenadiers did them one better by claiming a trio of Golds, from K8, K10 and K11.
None of the unaligned Commanders managed to get a Gold, but we had a repeat winner. Frank Drummond (now in The Grinch Grenadiers) grabbed his third Gold in a row.
Upcoming event: Double Rainbow
Some might think: Didnt we just have a Rainbow?
Well, yes. But this time it is a Double Rainbow, so a Commander is allowed to use up to a pair of each Mech model, twice as many as in the Single Rainbow we recently had.
Using more than two is highly discouraged as any triplicates (and quadruplicates etc..) will be banned from fighting, and treated as empty spaces in the formations
Event ends December 12 between 0100 and 0130 New York Time

Highlighting the February 3355 DinoMight
After the 85 ton event, the Gaming Authorities upped their game a bit, and allowed us to bring the 90 tonners for some Mechanized mayhem.
For me, the news was recieved by mixed feelings. Yes, I had a full line of Ignis ready to burn the opponents, and a couple handfuls of Antis/Regis/Aspis to sprinkle as reinforcements for the rest of the lines.
But I was still stuck on K3, two tops over what should have been my regular hunt of K5, and the regular contenders this time would have Licences 50-140 higher than mine.
That equates to 1-3 dozen additional weapions on each of their Mechs, and 30-80% thicker armor.
But again, sulking about the unfairness of it would bring no prizes, while slugging it out might get me some.
The formation was assembled, and due to an early arrival we managed to grab one of the slope positions.
But the scramble was still far into the future, and other tasks were at hand as well.
Then I got an assignment that would keep me away from the scramble. Cursing under my breath, a return to the mountain was undertaken.
My troops had been thrown off the slopes and huddled at one of the lower foothills. Examening the opponents, it seemed at least some of them were mostly in their main formations still, so perhaps...
Quite a few assaults later (most failed) we were again on the slopes. The crew were told I had to go, and that they were to hold as best they could, and to get me some footage of the fighting.
Their stubborn resistance to further incursions let them keep the position, and the footage they gathered let me figure out the winners this time had been.

5+6+8(1S)+9(1S)+5(1S)+4(1S)+2(1S)+0+0+0+0= Four Silvers and thirty-five Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who obviously had at least some overweight mechs in their formations.
Total Contestants: 222
Total medals claimed: 159 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the 85 ton event we just had, the number of fighting formations present rose by eleven.
But again, the entry requirements for Mount Olympus was to stringent for that top to be filled, and this time the most popular top (K7) had more contestants than the 3 least popular tops put together.
All in all, this resulted in six unclaimed Bronzes, which were returned for resmelting after the award ceremony.
The last half-hour saw only two Golds being succesfully fought over, one of them not decided until the last half-minute. Seven of the remaining nine Golds were held for more than two hours, four of them for more than a day.
Sounds like at least on some tops the diference between the haves and have nots was too big to overcome, but how unequal was the situation further down? To find out we take a look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....1 of 4.........4 of 5
Div 2 ....3 of 4.........4 of 10
Div 3 ....3 of 4.........8 of 9
Div 4 ....3 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 5 ....3 of 4.........5 of 10
Div 6 ....2 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 7 ....4 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 9 ....3 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 10 ..4 of 4........10 of 10
Div 11 ..4 of 4........10 of 10
Pretty static event overall. Three tops (K8, K10 and K11) without even a single succesfull medal attack, vs K2 who was the sole top where the majority of the Medals found fresh holders. On the seven remaining tops, only nine out of twenty-eight Silvers and fourteen out of sixty-four Bronzes changed hands.
This was another event where none of the clans managed to bring home more than one Gold. Currently Unaligned Don Davis won on K2, and the sole repeat winner was Ben Rail from 中臣氏 on Mount Olympus.
Upcoming event: King Chrono
Here we are at it again. No restrictions whatsoever on the lineup, -if you can get the Mech into the formation it is legal.
It is also a Chrono, so sign up ASAP to start scoring the points needed for the (good) prizes
Event ends January 12 between 1300 and 1330 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1130 - May 3353 Double Rainbow Chrono

Highlighting the May 3353 Double Rainbow Chrono
The Gaming authorities decided to have a Rainbow event this time. A double seemed fine by them, and to keep us on the toes they made it a pretty long Chrono to boot.
This was not particularily good news for me. My Double Rainbow formation have to rely on some lighter Mechs, down toward 70 tonners, but hopefully most of the opponents faced similar constraints.
The Chrono aspect was a bit worse, as there were other scheduled items on my calendar that could not be postponed, and again we were scheduled to fight on K3 where the regular contenders might show up having Piloting Licences more than 50 higher than mine.
In a Chrono one should always strive to get as many early points as possible, that gives you a leg up on the later arrivals. My 2R formation needed some updating when it came to armament, but Bruno and the crew did that in jig time.
After the formation had gotten this overhaul it was dispatched to the mountains and a spot on the slopes were free for the asking.
Further advance was stymied however.
roward of the Black Star Lycan Rangers held the top, and not long after my arrival KiloTone Recoil from the Brotherhood of Arcane Dragons showed up.
Not that the two of them are unbeatable, if it had been a sudden death I might have managed to beat one of them during the scramble, and if that was just before the end, a Gold might have been mine.
But in a Chrono? At an average of 80 tries to displace either of them, it simply was not worth the effort. They would surely blow me off the top in short order, maybe using two tries to do so.
So my crew were left hugging the position, and getting footage. None of the others wanted to tangle with us, so when the light finally flashed a Silver was waiting for us.
All the footage taken made it easy for me to figure out the biggest scorers this time had been:
Div 1 367+ (22 Commanders): Dexter Berry, Warlock (+32260)
2: Shawn Wretham
3: Gary Muenzel
4: Ben Rail
5: Bernard Johnson
6: Claude Poirier
7: Jeff Haas
8: George Warren
9: David Buchanan
10: Daniel Scott
Div 2 -366 (19 Commanders): Terry Harper, Northwind Dragons (+25260)
Div 3 -231 (14 Commanders): roward, B.S.L.R. (+9130)
Div 4 -192 (15 Commanders): Colin Toenjes, Heroes (+5590)
Div 5 -149 (23 Commanders): Spike Shepard, T.B. BlackWatch (+25810)
Div 6 -110 (20 Commanders): Siegfried Gust, Black Star Bandits (+2450)
Div 7 -83 (33 Commanders): Markus Eisenhand, Black Star Bandits (+33280)
Div 8 -59 (11 Commanders): Stug Hill, Behemoth (+25360)
Div 9 -40 (20 Commanders): colehatesme, Mad Scientist 1 (+15620)
Div 10 -22 (17 Commanders): Lemartes, Horsemen Squadron (+5540)
Div 11 -11 (13 Commanders): igbryce781, Join for Clan Wars (+21830)
Total Contestants: 207
Total medals claimed: 157 (of 165 possible)
Compared to the Gun event we just had, the number of Commanders showing up to fight rose by fourty.
But even this influx was not enough when the imbalance between the tops was as severe as it was. The three least popular tops had a total of thirty-eight contestants, just five more combined than the thirty-three who showed up to fight on K7. This led to a total of seven Bronzes from those tops ending unclaimed and being returned for resmelting.
Highest score achieved in this event was on K8 where Stug Hill of the behemoths collected a score of 119 320. Biggest margin to the runner-up was on K7 where Black Star Bandits` Markus Eisenhand ended up 33 280 in front. Lowest score needed for a medal was 2640 for the last claimed Bronzes on K3 and K11.
Seven Golds were won by margins in excess of 14 000, while one was decided by less than 2500.
This indicates pretty unaproachable winners on most of the tops, but how close was the struggle for the lesser prizes? To find out, we take a look at the differences between the medal tiers in this event:
..Silver to Bronze....Bronze to nothing
Div 1 ....16490......………….140
Div 2 ......6360...….........…..160
Div 3 ...…..340...….........…..N/A
Div 4 ......7450...….........…..N/A
Div 5 ....15160...….........…..700
Div 6 ......8180...…............4340
Div 7 ......4830...…............3640
Div 8 ....14760...….........…..N/A
Div 9 ......7360...…............3500
Div 10 ….6210...…............4520
Div 11 ..10840...….........…..N/A
Pretty solid to downright impressive margins here, but one of the Silvers and three of the seven contested Bronzes were decided by margins well below 1000. When the scores are this close, which of the contestants entered first might well be the descisive factor.
The Black Star Bandits was the only clan to bring home more than one Nephilax this time. They got a double win on K6 and K7. The sole repeat winner was Dexter Berry of the Warlocks on Mount Olympus, and none of the unaligned Commanders managed to claim a Nephilax.
Upcoming event: King of the Mountain
This is the original event. No restrictions, no enhancements.
Just bring the best formation you have to the Mountains and slug it out among your peers.
Event ends November 18 between 1500 and 1530 New York Time

Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184: Mecha Combat #1109 - May 3352 Nifty
(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184)
Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1109
Brought to you by ANN
Highlighting the May 3352 Nifty
Just before the War of `52 the Gaming authorities decided to have another Nifthel event.
Here as in the one we had back in November`51, one sidekick was allowed, as long as it had a mass of no more than 40 tons. Otherwise it was supposed to be Nifthels only.
-Except for the two lowest tops. There it was straight up 40 ton max.
As a legendary Nifthel pilot, it behooved to show off my skills in this event. Some time was spent in close consultation with Bruno (my chief Tech) on how to enhance their effectiveness further, and care was taken to do so.
But finally it was time to bring the formation to the mountains.
The opponents was blasted out of the way, and soon I was on the top slope. Just one more attack and the top would be mine. I ordered the charge, -and nothing happened.
Another order to attack were given, and still no action was taken.
Checking what the problem was, I was informed that according to present protocols, Blue on Blue (friendly fire) was not allowed. Did I want to change the settings?
Ah. Yes.
The top was held by my team mate Able Hunter. His formation outmassed mine by 120 tons, and he had a licence 37 higher than mine. That would be a worthy test of my skills.
But that was for another time. Star League really frowns on attacking clan members during these events, so all I could do was sit patiently and wait to see if he was chased off the top. Then I could run in, guns blazing to avenge him.
In the meantime, all that was left to do was get footage of the action on all the tops.
Able kept the top, and the full list of winners was:
Div 1 331+ (26 Commanders): Bernard Johnson, Warlock (44s)
2: Claude Poirier
3: Jeff Haas
4: Shawn Wretham
5: Sal Vezzosi Jr
6: Joe Kump
7: Gary Muenzel
8: roward
9: Dan Ross
10: Were Wolf
Div 2 -330 (14 Commanders): Randy Taylor, Death Dealers (2h,42m)
Div 3 -216 (16 Commanders): Able Hunter, Star League (1d,4h)
Div 4 -175 (15 Commanders): Larry Tsang, HF Dragoons (1h,50m)
Div 5 -143 (20 Commanders): PlayPloyGunpat, Mad Scientist.7 (10h,11m)
Div 6 -104 (23 Commanders): Shawn Lindsell, HF Dragoons (6h,55m)
Div 7 -80 (18 Commanders): Matthew Homewood, Ronins (12m,49s)
Div 8 -62 (15 Commanders): Alan Lau, MurderMechs (2h,30m)
Div 9 -41 (12 Commanders): Drone DLXXVII; Mad Scientist 1 (11h,19m)
Div 10 -27 (16 Commanders): Lemartes, Cold Dead Hands (28m,42s)
Div 11 -17 (21 Commanders): RiffRaff_, Raven`s Wing (2h,49m)
9+12(3S)+10(1S)+8(1S)+8(1S)+11(G,3S)+11(G,1S)+
10(2S)+7(1S)+1+0= Two Golds, thirteen Silvers and seventy-two Bronzes were awarded to Commanders who obviousluy had overweigh Mechs and/or to many non-Nifthels in their formations.
Total Contestants: 196
Total medals claimed: 161 (of 165 possible)
The number of contestants rose slightly compared to the Single Rainbow event, two more signed up here.
In addition, the imbalance between the tops was less pronounced, so this time "only" four Bronzes from two tops ended unclaimed and were returned for resmelting
The last half-hour saw a trio of Golds being fought over, one of them not decided until the last minute. On the other hand, seven Golds were held for more than two hours, one of them for more than a day.
Was this a case of strong winners, or was the Commanders more focused oon the upcoming war? Hard to say, but an indication can be found by studying the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:
.............Silvers......Bronzes
Div 1 ....0 of 4.........3 of 10
Div 2 ....4 of 4.........8 of 9
Div 3 ....2 of 4.........5 of 10
Div 4 ....3 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 5 ....3 of 4.........7 of 10
Div 6 ....3 of 4.........9 of 10
Div 7 ....0 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 8 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10
Div 9 ....4 of 4.........7 of 7
Div 10 ..1 of 4.........8 of 10
Div 11 ..3 of 4.........8 of 10
Neither K8 nor K9 had any succesfull medal attacks, and the only top where the majority of the medals was in play was Mount Olympus. The fighting was pretty hard on K3 and K7 as well, the other tops had less action.
The only clan who brought home a Double Gold this time was HF: Dragoons who triumphed on K4 and K6. The sole repeat winner was Warlock`s Bernard Johnson on Mount Olympus, and there was no unaligned winners this time.
Upcoming event: Frontline Fight
The classic mid-War event. Here the only Mechs who will be involved in the fighting are those in the front (rightmost) line. Thet means Trample is useless, while a well placed Wide Fork shot might win a fight in one fell swoop.
Adjusting weapons and shields to reflect this should be a priority for those who want a (good) prize.
Event ends October 22 between 1100 and 1130 New York Time
