Curipamba-El Domo Copper-Gold Project Development Update from Adventus Mining and Salazar
Toronto, September 2022 - The Curipamba-El Domo copper-gold project in central Ecuador is being developed by Adventus Mining Corporation ("Adventus Mining") (TSXV: ADZN) and Salazar Resources Limited ("Salazar") (TSXV: SRL) and they are happy to share an update on the development status (the "Project"). From the feasibility study and environmental and social impact assessment ("ESIA") completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, the 2022 work schedule continues to advance all aspects of the Project.
Mining Agreement Contract The Participants have agreed to award a mining and construction contract to a joint venture between RIPCONCIV, a sizable and reputable Ecuadorian infrastructure building company, and STRACON S.A., a well-known mining contractor from Peru with activities throughout Latin America ("STRACON-RIPCONCIV JV"). The LOI gives the parties permission to get started right away on tasks including constructability reviews, logistics studies, training and employment programmes aimed at the neighbourhood community, and execution planning. These are added-value initiatives that directly advance the Participants' goal of starting the Project's official construction in the second quarter of 2023.
In order to focus on the best solutions for the Project while ensuring that risks are distributed to the parties best able to manage and mitigate them, a definitive agreement is anticipated to be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2022. The open pit, tailings facilities, and related mine infrastructure must be built successfully, and the STRACON-RIPCONCIV JV is in charge of overseeing the first two years of mine operation.
Site Preparation Activities Drilling has been the main focus of site work in order to support the detailed engineering programme (see news release from August 29, 2022), and health, safety, security, and environmental management plans are being implemented in preparation for the official start of construction in the second quarter of 2023. Important new hiring have been made in the fields of security, community involvement, and technical field services. With the level of project operations continuing to rise, the Participants have now engaged into a security contract with an Ecuadorian security provider to strengthen safeguards and practises to further protect the Project's staff and facilities.
An continuing pre-construction programme that includes tasks like geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling, camp setup, IT, infrastructure, logistics planning, community hiring, public and private security provisions, water management, and electrical power systems is moving the project forward on site.
Design of a Tailings and Waste Rock Facility: Optimization and Savings In June 2022, engineering company Klohn Crippen Berger ("KCB") received a contract for the detailed engineering and design of the tailings storage facility ("TSF"), waste rock facilities ("WRF"), and related infrastructure. Before building begins, design work has begun and is anticipated to be finished in the first quarter of 2023. The feasibility study design, for which the Project got technical permission from the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Government of Ecuador, is expanded upon in the detailed design (see May 31, 2022 news release).
In order to maximise the use of waste rock as construction material during the pre-strip stage, KCB undertook a research in June 2022. Approximately 3 million tonnes of waste are estimated to be removed from the pre-strip volume as a result of this effort, which should lower construction costs and give schedule flexibility throughout the pre-production phase of project development. In September 2022, a revised mine plan based on the lower pre-strip amounts is anticipated to be finished, and the STRACON-RIPCONCIV JV will use it to complete fleet selection and manpower planning.
Engineering firm DRA Global Limited, the project's principal detailed engineering consultant, is currently well along with the engineering for the project's process plant and surface infrastructure (see February 15, 2022 news release). With a 30% progress milestone review scheduled for late September 2022, work is progressing according to schedule and is currently concentrated on the negotiation and award of long lead equipment packages from mining equipment vendors. In order to advance engineering, the Participants plan to purchase certified equipment data for long lead equipment in the fourth quarter of 2022. However, they won't release the equipment for fabrication until they have received full approval for construction from the Adventus Mining Board of Directors, which they anticipate will happen in the second quarter of 2023. By using this strategy, engineering will be able to advance to a greater than 80% completion rate before construction begins and an updated control budget based on firm equipment price will be developed before a construction decision is made.
Progress in Environmental Licensing The Participants are still preparing for the public consultation procedure after successfully receiving ESIA technical permission from the Government of Ecuador in May 2022 (see May 31, 2022 news release) (Citizens Participation Process). The President of Ecuador is anticipated to issue a similar decree in 2022. The Government of Ecuador is currently revising the specifications for this consultation process. The Participants believe that after being passed into law, the revised consultation procedure will likely need to be fully implemented nationally by the first quarter of 2023, which would lead to the Project receiving approvals in the second quarter of 2023. This schedule is in keeping with the Project's present plans, which call for construction to start in the second quarter of 2023. Due to a buffer built into the Project timeline to account for potential delays like these, even though the full approval and issuing of the environmental licence is projected to take longer than the previously anticipated year-end 2022, the start of construction is not anticipated to be affected. The protests that took place in Ecuador earlier in 2022 and the ensuing changes in the government's position were the source of processing delays across all industries nationally.
As a result, the Project's final control capital budget is anticipated to be disclosed in the second quarter of 2023. To date, the Participants have seen some reductions in projected capital costs such as from improvements in the TSF design, which are tending to offset cost pressures associated with inflation and global geopolitical instability. Since adopting the US dollar as its official currency in 2000, Ecuador has continued to maintain monetary stability and lower inflation rates than the G7.

How We Determine our Car, Truck, and SUV of the Year – Reference Mark
How do you compare 36 passenger cars against each other when the field is composed of family sedans, touring coupes, hot hatches, sports cars, and minivans all in the same pack? This also applies to the wild varieties of SUVs and the differing capabilities of pickup trucks big and small.
You don’t. Or rather, you can’t.
That’s why the MotorTrend Car, Truck, and SUV of the Year evaluations are so grueling and strenuous. This year, our field of contenders for the awards hit 81 vehicles.
Trying to place those myriad vehicles, with sticker prices from $20,000 to $150,000, requires something more than a mere comparison test. To level the playing field, we created six key criteria so that each vehicle can be judged on its own merits:
1. Advancement in Design: We dissect the quality execution of exterior and interior styling, as well as the clever selection and use of materials. And we have expert guidance: For Car of the Year, our panel of judges includes Tom Gale, the former head of design for Chrysler and a man who is never short of reasoning for why someone’s baby is ugly.
2. Engineering Excellence: In other words, the integrity of the total vehicle concept and execution and the use of technologies that benefit the consumer. This can range from new-tech internal combustion engines, to elegant alt-fuel systems, to new suspension and transmission tech. Inside, we judge the vehicle’s ability to fit people and cargo and the success or failure of infotainment systems. For COTY, former Ford and Chrysler chief engineer Chris Theodore helps us dig under the skin of the contenders; for SUVOTY, we’re assisted by former Mazda and Kia R&D chief Gordon Dickie.
3. Efficiency: Fuel economy relative to the competitive set, plus overall operating costs, weight, and recyclability. And yes, we consider mpg-e and well-to-wheel equations for electric vehicles.
4. Safety: We examine the safety measures that protect occupants from harm in a crash and test a vehicle’s ability to help a driver avoid a crash in the first place.
5. Value: What’s the damage to your pocketbook? Surprisingly this doesn’t always favor the less expensive cars; oftentimes, it’s the better-equipped vehicle relative to competitors in the same market segment. That said, it’s orders of magnitude harder to build a great $20,000 car than a decent $40,000 one.
6. Performance of Intended Function: Essentially it’s how well the vehicle does the job its designers, engineers, and product planners intended. If you build a luxury car, it damn well better ride like one. An off-roading SUV must surmount every obstacle. And a tire-scorching sports car can’t be sloppy around the handling course. If there’s ever a tie-breaking situation, it all comes back to this.
Some might think that these six criteria merely reinforce the secure place of automakers that are already renowned for their excellence. They would be wrong. Last year we had our first Italian-badged vehicle win a MotorTrend Of The Year award. This year we have our first winner from a Korean manufacturer. The traditional definition of who builds the world’s most excellent vehicles is shifting, and rapidly so.
On behalf of the exhausted, parched, sunburned testers, writers, editors, photographers, and videographers of MotorTrend, I welcome you to the most comprehensive automotive awards judging process in the business. How can I make such a claim? Because I’ve belonged to several other judging panels whose methodology is, ahem, cursory by comparison. (More details as to how we test can be found in the introductory pages of the Car, Truck, and SUV of the Year sections.)
And unlike other automotive publications that have lengthy “best” lists, only MotorTrend has the testing discipline—and let’s face it, the guts—to designate one vehicle we deem the finest of its category.

1. Mul-T-Lock Lock Brand
Mul-t-lock Key Blank
Mul-T-Lock has a range of award-winning and world-famous access control and locking solutions. It is also a high security product, but it is my favorite high security lock because of its multiple, various means of ensuring a lock stays locked.
Why is Mul-T-Lock Our Favorite Brand?
Because of its deadbolt. High security is high security and one product is roughly the same as the others. But Mul-t-lock has added security features to its key and to its deadbolt that the others just don’t have. The strike that comes with the deadbolt is fully encased and meant to retain a ball bearing that is within the deadlatch. When the lock is closed, this makes the two product inseparable without a key, locking you door into the strike within the door frame.
Hercular Deadbolts Have:
UL Fire Rated, ANSI Grade 1 Deadbolt
High Security Key and Cylinder Platform
UL437 Listed for Pick and Drill Resistance
Adjustable Backset – 2-3/8” (60Mm) Or 2-3/4” (70Mm)
Full 1” (25Mm) Bolt Throw with Anti-Pulling Ball Bearings Mechanism
Locking Mechanism Reinforced with Hardened Steel Pins
UL Fire Rated Latch

Their key is also like no other key. Side dimples and magnets are part of the security features within the key to stop lock bumping, picking, and duplication without authorization.

Conclusions
The lock industry is no more as simple as the basic lock. Now, there is a wide range of products available for every possible need. These products are highly evolved and often come from companies with decades of experience in the production and marketing of high-end security solutions for homes and institutions. Audi e-tron's Top Safety Pick+ Award is a first for EVs The 2019 Audi e-tron has become the first all-electric vehicle to earn the Top Safety Pick+ award from the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).Audi introduced the e-tron for the 2019 model year. To qualify for this top IIHS award, a vehicle must earn the top Good rating in six crash evaluations, receive an Advanced or Superior rating for front crash protection, and a Good rating for headlights. While some vehicles earn the Top Safety Pick+ award only for certain trim levels that are optionally equipped with high-tech safety technologies or headlamps, the IIHS said the e-tron met the list with its standard equipment, which includes LED headlamps with automatic high-beam assist.Crash testing is performed in the U.S. by the IIHS, a non-profit group thats funded by insurance companies, and by the federal governments National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The two use slightly different methods for testing and rating; NHTSA uses a five-star rating, while the IIHS rates by Poor, Marginal, Acceptable, and Good.Recent announcements of other new vehicles earning the Top Safety Pick+ award include the Lexus NX, the Hyundai Nexo fuel-cell vehicle, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 when equipped with specific headlights, and the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, along with the 2019 BMW 3 Series and X5 (both with specific headlamps), and the 2019 Kia Stinger and 2020 Kia Soul when equipped with optional crash prevention and headlamp options.Among the vehicles

New Ford Transit Custom
Ford’s new Transit Custom, the top-selling one-ton commercial van in Europe, is now available in South Africa, delivering a bold new design, interior enhancements and improved productivity for business.
Sporting a bold new front-end design with three-bar Transit grille, Ford’s one-ton van provides drivers with the ideal mobile office environment, featuring a practical cabin that offers superb stowage, along with improved comfort and ergonomics.
“With a proven pedigree in the demanding commercial vehicle market, the new Transit Custom raises the game once more,” said Doreen Mashinini, General Manager, Marketing at Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa. “We listened carefully to our customers, and are proud to deliver a one-ton van that is even more stylish, even more productive and packed with smart features.” Introduced in Europe late 2012, followed by its South African launch in early 2013, the Transit Custom was the first of Ford’s expanded all-new Transit line-up to go on sale – later joined by the Transit medium commercial vehicle (MCV) line-up – and was a key driver in Ford becoming Europe’s No. 1 commercial vehicle brand in 2015, a leading position it has held ever since.
The Transit Custom was awarded the International Van of the Year title in 2012, confirming its status as a trend-setter in the one-ton commercial van market.
Dynamic styling and cabin for the perfect mobile office
New Transit Custom has a dynamic and professional new front-end appearance that shares the same design DNA as Ford’s latest passenger cars, with a high-mounted trapezoidal grille and dynamic, slim headlamps. The latest lighting technologies are available, with high series models featuring distinctive new signature daytime running lights and automatically activated quad-beam halogen headlights.
The cabin retains its extremely practical and versatile layout, with an array of useful touches designed for drivers who treat the cabin like a mobile office during long working hours in their vehicle.
Outstanding interior stowage is provided with convenient storage compartments located throughout the cabin, including a lidded unit above the instrument panel, large bottle holders on either side of the dashboard, and spacious binnacles within the door panels.
All-day comfort is further enhanced by new seat designs featuring revised foam padding and geometry for optimised support, while trim materials have been completely renewed throughout the cabin, with a focus on outstanding quality, durability and appearance. This includes seat fabrics that have been subjected to Ford’s toughest ever abrasion tests.
Advanced safety and driver assistance features
The new Transit Custom introduces a range of advanced driver assistance features that share technologies found on Ford’s latest models.
Active driving safety is enhanced with the fitment of Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard across the range, incorporating Hill Launch Assist (HLA), Load Adaptive Control (LAC), Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM) and optional Trailer Sway Control (TSC) which is activated with the fitment of a tow bar at a Ford dealer. This is bolstered with ABS brakes including Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
Driver and passenger airbags are standard across the Transit Custom range. Across the line-up, parking manoeuvres are made hassle-free with the inclusion of front and rear sensors linked to a parking camera display in the rearview mirror. Driver comfort and convenience are assured with the provision of air-conditioning with integrated pollen filter, electric windows and steering wheel controls for the built-in audio system.
Vehicle security is provided by means of remote power central locking with double locking facility, drive-away locking with crash unlocking, along with a perimeter anti-theft alarm. Cruise control with speed limiter is specified as standard across the range.
All models are equipped with a built-in audio system incorporating Bluetooth, USB and Aux connectivity and steering wheel-mounted controls.
Tailored for business
The new Transit Custom offers commercial vehicle operators an outstanding breadth of capabilities from a vehicle line-up that includes two wheelbase lengths, two body styles in the three-seater Panel Van or the Kombi Van that provides for seating up to six occupants, as well as three trim levels (Ambiente, Sport and Trend).
Load-carrying ability is a primary consideration for commercial customers, and this is where the award-winning Transit Custom Panel Van excels. The new model offers a gross payload ranging from 1 155kg on the Sport SWB to a hefty 1 505kg on the 92 kW Ambiente LWB.
Innovative load space features enable owners to carry a wide variety of goods, such as the load-through hatch in the bulkhead for extra-long items up to a maximum length of 3 452mm. The Transit Custom LWB models have a maximum load area of up to 6.83m3 up to the full-width steel bulkhead, or 5.95 m3 for the Sport SWB model. Up to eight DIN-compliant tie-down loops are fitted in the load compartment to safely secure loads.
Access to the load area is through the sliding door on the passenger side, with the Kombi Van Trend benefitting from dual side doors – although this can be selected as an option on the other models. The rear-hinged doors open to 180 degrees for ease of access, incorporating a positive stop at 90 degrees and click-lock functionality.
Depending on model, the cabin boasts either partial or full rubber insulated floor covers designed for easy cleaning. A sealed easy-clean load floor is supplied in the Sport, and can be ordered as an optional item on the other Panel Van derivatives.
All derivatives are approved for towing a 750kg unbraked trailer, and between 1 300 and 1 800kg for a braked trailer, depending on model. Range-topping Sport series gets fresh new look The new Transit Custom range is once again headed by the dynamic and popular Sport series, available exclusively in short wheelbase high-performance Panel Van configuration.
The Sport’s signature twin bonnet stripes and exterior body kit have been redesigned for the new model, featuring a lower front skirt for the front bumper with unique fog light bezels, body-colour side skirts, rear bumper skirts and muscular wheel arch extensions. In keeping with its athletic character, the Sport boasts 18-inch alloy wheels with low-profile 235/50 R18 tyres.
The sporting style continues inside the cabin with partial leather interior trim that combines striking new embossed fabric inserts with leather bolsters.
Duratorq TDCi performance and efficiency The new Transit Custom is powered by Ford’s proven range of Duratorq TDCi four-cylinder turbodiesel engines that employ common rail direct injection to deliver the ideal combination of performance, fuel economy and reliability.
Three versions of this engine are offered in the Panel Van line-up, starting off with a 74kW unit in the long wheelbase Ambiente that delivers 310Nm of torque from just 1 300 r/min. A higher-output version is also available, credited with 92kW and 350Nm.
The Transit Custom Sport is the only model in the range to be powered by the 114kW version of this engine, matched to a peak torque output of 385Nm – thus giving it the dynamic potential to suit its sporty appearance. In the versatile Kombi Van range, two models are offered, comprising the Ambiente long wheelbase derivative and the higher-specification Trend short wheelbase variant. Both use the 92kW / 350Nm Duratorq TDCi engine, with a six-speed manual transmission common to all models.
Ford Transit Custom – Recommended Retail Prices: Panel Van 2.2 TDCi LWB Ambiente 74kW 6MT R436 000 2.2 TDCi LWB Ambiente 92kW 6MT R443 400 2.2 TDCi SWB Sport 114kW 6MT R482 200 Kombi Van 2.2 TDCi LWB Ambiente 92kW 6MT R480 400 2.2 TDCi SWB Trend 92kW 6MT R505 500
