No matter how many fandoms I am in or how many blorbos I bond to, I will never be more annoying about a piece of media than I was about Henrik Ibsen's a dolls house in my high school literature class

Oh yeah my literatureclass is over! Here’s a list of things that my teacher believes:
Radio waves cause autism
Levitation is possible
Light is alive in a biological sense and also conscious
Atlantis is real
The chicxulub meteor did not crash in Yucatán but instead in the lesser Antilles and the crater created the volcanoes which created the island chain
Einstein and Chandrasekhar gained their knowledge by meditating and contacting aliens via meditation
Ronald Reagan also knew aliens existed and that they’re going to kill us all one day
Humans were tuned to the magnetic field of the earth and we lost the innate ability to find magnetic north because of the invention of the radio dulling our senses
Hindu gods were aliens and gave Indians their knowledge in mathematics and science. They didn’t talk to anyone else though.
Jesus was not Jewish at all. He was a Chinese Daoist.
The Catholic Church is single-handedly responsible for every horrible tragedy and regressive mindset seen in the western world. Even if said mindset is Protestant in origin. Except for the French they’re just evil. Or not. It depends on how she feels.
While Catholic tradition is evil and misogynistic and racist and has no redeeming value, Chinese traditions are pure and good and the communists were completely evil in doing away with them.
Asian people are also superior to every other race in every way. And so are people with synesthesia. In her words “the next step of humanity.” No this isn’t borderline eugenics shut up.

READING THE CLASSICS
Are you "Reading The Classics" or are they banned in your state? #BookBans #RedStates #LiteratureClassics
In the 2023-2024 School year PEN (Poets, Essayists, Novelists) America found “10,046 instances of individual books banned, affecting 4,231 unique titles.” In 2025 we expect it to be many more. The following essay appeared last year on the SERENDIPITY website. Except In Some States, by Rich Paschall Like many people, I read the classics of modern literature in my high school and college years.…

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘺 - 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯
⭐⭐
✨ This one was not a pleasure read as I had to read it for a Literature Teaching class and even present on it.
At first I was intrigued and wanted to like it but the main character of A made it hard for me to get into the book after a while but I forced myself to finish it because of school and because I actually don’t like to DNF books, even if it was a thrifted one.
✨ I have only watched the trailer of the film as I usually try to wait a while to watch the movies when reading a book which has a film adaptation. Which way do you do it? Read the book and then watch the movie or watch the movie and then read the book? Or do you enjoy only reading the book and never watching the movie?

Digital diary 2025.01.28.
I woke up realized really love the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet because, i read the translated play and the 1968 comes the closest to the original play, Romeo and Juliet are so loving and caring for each other they are so cute. Definitely going to use the 1968 as a reference of some sort for my version of the Romeo and Juliet characters. So, I was really excited for literature class because, i thought we are going talk about but, we didn't. Instead we watched an another movie about a work of an another hungarian author. It was like Sweet Ann with absurd comedy. My literature teacher also gave us an exam. Today i drew while listening to Retkes Péter videos. Tomorrow i do my 2 hour math graduation exam.
Feeling: Frisson 🤯🤩

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer Book Review
“Well, everybody does it that way, Huck." "Tom, I am not everybody.” ― Mark Twain, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

But how I laughed!
This is the story of a boy named Tom Sawyer, he is an orphan, doesn’t like school very much and prefers to skip it. He lives in St Petersburg, Missouri, on the banks of the Mississippi River with his old Aunt Polly, who, despite the constant nagging (and for good reason) because of his nephew's constant mischief and foolishness, loves him like her son, his half-brother who annoys him a bit, Sid Sawyer, and his big cousin Mary. He has a friend with whom he loves to spend time: it's Huckleberry Finn who lives in the forest all by himself. Huck does what he wants: he can fish, wash, dress up as and when he wants. Tom admires him a lot. Moms don’t want their kids to go with Huck but Tom doesn’t care, he does.
One day, a young girl arrives in his town: she is the judge's daughter, Becky Thatcher. Tom falls in love immediately.
But what will change Tom's life is what he sees one night with Huck in the cemetery where they went to bury a dead cat. They are witnesses of the terrible murder of Dr. Robinson by Joe the Indian. From this murder, they will live a life full of adventures. Joe the Indian accuses Muff Potter, a drunkard, of this crime during the trial. But Tom Sawyer, listening only to his courage, is going to say that Joe the Indian is the culprit. Joe escapes and promises Tom that he will take revenge!
From that moment, Tom is dragged into a series of adventures in search of a cave where the fabulous treasure of Joe the Indian is…
***ALERT SPOILER***
Where the author really surprised me is the seriousness of certain episodes (because the book is constructed in such a way that although there is an overall coherence, each chapter is more or less dedicated to a single "adventure"). For example, it is indeed a murder perpetrated by the terrifying half-breed Joe the Indian that Tom and Huckleberry are present at! Three long days that Tom and Becky will remain prisoners of a cave in which they will be in real danger of starving! It is the Mississippi river that Tom claims to cross to swim in all directions! It is indeed an innocent man who is preparing to be condemned to be hanged by the court of Saint-Petersburg! And so on...
The adventures of Tom Sawyer is an incredible book! I recommend this book to those who are ready to devour incredible adventures!
