Daichi was stretching, the match against Nekoma is nearly starting.” Don’t be nervous” you making Daichi jump, Haruto was on your hip sucking at his fist while his other hand was fisting your top,”I want to win, badly” he said rubbing Haruto’s hair gently making him look up at Daichi through his lashes,” You will win Dai, now Haruto give Daddy a kiss, the match be starting soon” you said holding Haruto close to Daichi face,” Thanks Buddy” Daichi smiled when his son kissed his cheek,” Cheer me own” he said as the blond first year showed up,” Thanks for taking care of him through the matches” you said handing him over,” Not a bother, he’s so calm and cute. It’s like having a doll in my arms” she cooed as you placed the noise cancelling headphones on Haruto’s ears,” Bye my love” you said waving as Yachi made her way to the stands.

“Okay boys, gather around,” Daichi said clapping his hands together.” We’re going to play Nekoma, but unlike all the other times we will win, so forget all the losses we had and just focus on winning as we will beat these kitty cats” Daichi,” Hell yeah we will, HEAR THAT MOWHAK WE BEAT YOUR ASS” Tanaka shouted making Yamamoto flip him off and held back by Lev.

“Don’t cry when we will win my dear Daichi” Kuroo grinned shaking Daichi’s hand,” Keep that happy attitude you will need it once we won” Daichi replied. “Kageyama give us a good one,” Tanaka said to their setter who is starting the match.

Kenma and Lev now worked well together. It took a while for someone to score but Hinata managed to do it by aiming for Kenma,” GO KARASUNO” you heard the cheer team chant with mixed expressions, some excited, some stunned by what Hinata did and one bored expression. You watched the match, both Nekoma and Karasuno developed so much since they played last time, but it was becoming evident that Karasuno slowly became better than Nekoma and they are being overwhelmed with all the new techniques Karasuno learned from all their matches including Hinata finally being able to receive, something which only learned in the previous match.

Watching the match between Karasuno and Nekoma was like watching some kind of drama. From Nekoma pulling a synchronised attack to Kenma actually being determined to take Karasuno down, all the things didn't help as Karasuno won with a 1:2. Daichi quickly pulled you off your feet in a tight hug,” We did, we won. We’re going quarter-finals” he said before kissing,” I knew you will do it” you said happily wrapping your legs around his waist,” I knew it too not to sound cocky” he said,” I love you so much Dai”,”I love you too y/n” he kissed you gently,” You won already no need to rub our singleness into our faces” Kuroo said from behind you, Daichi placed you back on the ground and turned to face the Nekoma Captain,” No hard feelings right?” Daichi said holding out his hand,” Of course not, we both brought everything we got and you won. Don’t lose the next game though” he teased shaking Daichi’s hand,” We will get you next year though” Yamamoto said to Tanaka,” Dream on kitty” Tanaka said trying to wrap his arm around Kiyoko but she walked off making him stumble a bit.”Do you know who we’re playing next?” Suga asked Ukai just as Yachi came back from the stands,” You guys where amazing. Haruto seemed to agree, he was so memorised by the game” Yachi said stroking his belly making him smile,” Of course he was, Haruto has exceptional taste” Ukai said grabbing the boy from Yachi,” Can I get an answer?” Suga asked while his eyes were on Haruto with a soft smile,” Kamomedia High” Takeda answered looking at his clipboard,” I went to the training camp with one of their players, he’s basically like Hinata but just better” Kageyama said,” Hey” Hinata said offended,” Also their coach used to coach the Italian Volleyball team” Ukai added readjusting Haruto in his arms,” They be a hard team to beat. Do your best” he said nodding, you patted Daichi’s arm and turned around and saw Hinata sitting on the ground,” Hinata are you okay?” you asked crouching down beside him, it took him a while to replay,” Yeah, I’m just feeling tired” he said, he wasn’t even looking at you,” You sure, you look a little bit pale” you said reaching out for him but he dodged it making you frown,” Hinata” you scolded,” I’m fine. I just splash some cold water in my face” he said before walking off.

Soon the match began, you observed Hinata closely as he didn’t look better, his skin lacked even more colour than before and he sweated more than the others.” I have a feeling Hinata isn’t feeling well” you mumbled to Kiyoko,” I noticed it too” she said with a concerned look. Hinata still played good but unlike usual he seem to take a while to recover from some attacks. Daichi seemed to have picked up on that too but didn’t say anything, maybe it was his own selfishness of wanting to win is getting to him. Karasuno their first set but took the second just barely, it was the beginning of the third and Hinata became sloppier which made Daichi give a concerned look proofing your gut feeling that something wasn’t right with Hinata and was further proven when he collapsed onto his knees making the crowd go silent.” Hinata” you shouted running onto the field helping him up, his skin was warm and sticky and he was breathing rapidly.” It seems that he has a fever” you said to Ukai and Takeda,” I’m fine-”,” No, your not. Hinata you can’t play like this” you said making him sit down beside Ukai,” Y/N is right, I can’t let you play like that. Y/N bring him to the nurse's office” Ukai ordered making Hinata jump up but he stumbled a bit, Takeda grabbed the jersey steadying him,” I’m not hurt or anything. I can still play” he tried but Ukai shook his head,” Hinata, you don’t look good at all, your body needs rest or it will get worse” you said rubbing his back. Hinata sighed in defeat,” I’m so sorry” he said bowing to his teammates,” It’s not your fault. Get better bro” Noya said fist-bumping his shoulder,” We be fine” Tanaka added.

On your way out Yachi approached you,”Is everything okay?” she asked concerned,” Hinata has a fiver, I bring him to the nurse, you can join Kiyoko. I take Haruto as well” you smiled taking your son back into your arms,” Get better Hinata” Yachi smiled softly rubbing the gingers arm gently before entering the gym again.” Come on” you said softly.

“A stupid fiver got me. How embarrassing” Hinata mumbled, he was laying down on the nurse's bed with a cold, wet towel on his forehead. Haruto was playing on the ground with some building block given to him by the nurse.” Even the most famous Volleyball players get sick and your just a first year, you be back here in no time”,” Wait I can't even play in the other matches?” he said sitting up making the towel fall, you shook your head and picked up the towel,” Lay back down. I make it cold again” you said walking over to the sink,” Do you think we can win?” he asked,” It’s 1:1 at the moment. Everything is possible” you said walking back at him and placed the towel on his head. Haruto gurgled and held his arm out for you,” Come here my baby” you smiled kissing Haruto’s small nose and making him smile brightly at you.” How is it being a mom?”,” I won’t recommend becoming one at our age but he’s so cute, I can’t be mad. He’s the light of life, I will do anything for him” you smiled at Haruto was looking at Hinata,” Girls aren't interested in me, so being a parent young won’t be a problem” he joked taking Haruto’s hand in his,” Who knows, maybe someone is interested in you but won’t say it” you shrugged,” That be amazing” Hinata slurred before falling asleep.

“I’m sorry you lost,” you said sadly,” It’s fine, we played well, we gave it our all but it wasn’t enough, unfortunately,” Daichi shrugged rubbing Haruto’s head, Hinata seemed to have taken it the hardest, still blaming himself for the loss,” I will next time Daichi, don’t worry. I promise you that” he said, he looked slightly better than before but still definitely sick,” I want to thank you Hinata, because of you and Kageyama we got the motivation to improve ourselves, and I hold you onto this promise,” he said ruffling his orange hair.

For the next couple of months, Daichi and you worked hard in Ukai’s shop and in the school. Daichi already gave his Captain position to Ennoshita who emotionally accepted, and Tanaka became the ace. Yachi became officially the manager while you kept your position. Haruto grew quickly making many people emotional, he’s still smaller than the average baby his age but you weren’t too concerned about it. Currently, you were sitting beside Daichi’s parents and siblings watching Daichi graduate,” Look at Daddy, isn’t so handsome” you cooed into Haruto’s ear and you clapped his hands together when Daichi appeared on stage. He gave a big wave while looking in your direction.

“Look Haruto daddy graduated,” you said walking towards Daichi at the end of the ceremony,” Haruto how proud are you of me?” he asked taking him in his arm, Haruto nodded his head with a big smile,” Haruto how proud are you of me?” Suga asked bopping his nose making him laugh,” I can’t believe you are all are going to be gone” you said with a sad smile,” We will see each other” Asahi smiled engulfing you in a hug,” Exactly, I am the godfather after all. I be at your place as often as I can” Suga joked,” We be always there for you guys” Kiyoko smiled,” So you all know what you want to study?”,” Teaching, little Haruto made it clear for me that I want to work with kids, you better send him to my school” he said half-jokingly,” Not sure yet to be honest” Kiyoko said with a shrug,” I found a fashion school in Tokyo, so you might see less of me” Asahi said,” Remember us when your a famous designer” Suga joked making the former ace roll his eyes.” I hope I’m not intruding” a familiar cocky voice said,” Toru, I didn’t see you in ages” you gasped,” Yeah, busy with school and perfecting my skills. Congrats on graduation and on those greats sets in nationals”, Oikawa said,” No snarky remark on loosing?” Daichi said,”No, we aren’t rivals anymore Sawamura, no need to be hostile,” Oikawa said with a shrug,” This must be Haruto?”,”Oh right, you haven't met him yet. Haruto this Toru” Oikawa crouched down slightly and waved cutely making Haruto smile and wave back at him,” He’s so cute. Glad I could have met him before leaving”,” Leaving?” Asahi said,” Yeah, I will be leaving for Argentina in a couple of days. I managed to get a spot on Club Atlético San Juan” your eyes widen,” Oh my god, that’s amazing, congrats,” you said hugging him quickly,” Not surprised, you are great setter after all. Now that we aren’t playing against each other, I can say that” Suga said making Kiyoko laugh,” Argentina is quite far though” Daichi said,” I’m willing to go on that journey, I always dreamed of being on the Argentinan team, all the hard work is finally being off. I won’t let some distance and a language barrier stop me” Daichi nodded impressed,” I wish you good luck. I mean it, you are a talented setter Oikawa” Daichi said,” And you're a good Captain, Karasuno was lucky to have you” Oikawa smiled,” I need to go home and pack, it was nice to see you one last time” Oikawa said,” I hope we see each other again Toru” you said embracing him in a hug,” We will, I’m certain on that, I will keep in contact over text as well” he said before leaving with his signature wave.” I hate to say it but I think I am going to miss that guy” Suga said making everyone laugh,” He was a good friend to me so yeah I will definitely miss him” you said looking at Haruto was getting sleepy,” Someone is getting sleepy huh?” you cooed,” Long day for him” Daichi said rubbing his back,” Excited for your new path as a police officer?” you asked Daichi randomly,” Right, when are you starting the academy?” Kiyoko asked,” In a week's time, nervous but it’s paid a bit more than Ukai but we already have a plan of only moving out after y/n graduated college and my parents are happy enough to host us for that long as well” Daichi smiled,” They said we can stay forever” you added with a smile,” We couldn’t have done without them or you guys, thank you” Daichi said,” Yes, thank you so much”.

how you became manager (nekoma edition) <3

being the manager? FOR NEKOMA? let's go make YAMAMOTO proud!!!!

before you became the manager for nekoma, you were subjected to a variety of shenanigans that you could describe as

interesting

you see, knowing the boys for years told you this:

they needed to self-manage!

yamamoto needed to know how to control himself around cuties (like yourself)

yaku needed to sustain his sarcasm when it came to lev

and KUROO needed to keep his beakers on HIS side of his lab station

so yeah managing the boys seemed like fun but not the type of fun you wanted to spend energy on (pls this is wholesome not anything else T_T)

they thought differently

cue THE PLAN™!!

one day the boys met up after school and kuroo said that you were the ideal candidate to be manager and could actually get them in shape

he also said that you were hella cute so yamamoto agreed on the spot

they all knew that you always took a lot of time to make your decisions, so they decided on a staggered release of events that would bring your attention to them

please boys, as if you don't have everyone's attention already

cue the most eventful week of your life (or one of them)

METHOD 1: yaku was tasked to get your attention by...asking you for help with a theoretical situation

what was this situation?

how he could get kenma to participate more in practice

so yaku approached you, and you already had the feeling that something was up

but he ended up just asking you how to get this problem solved

so you said that you'd show up to practice to assess the situation

yaku felt accomplished!

however, he didn't actually understand that when you said you'd attend practice, it was literally ONLY for kenma

you just gave him a pep talk and said you'd probably treat him to apple pie later....and problem solved!!

THE TEAM WAS SHOOK

they knew they HAD to have you as a manager!

but the issue was holding your attention

so they decided to send in the big guns

METHOD 2: kuroo had to show you how cool their team was...in chemistry class

the two of you were paired for a lab (rip lab space) and you were supposed to record data while he went through the motions of incorporating the two chemicals

the two of you usually joked around while this happened, but today he was only talking about the funny things his team did

LITERALLY

you were laughing so hard that you ended up missing a crucial point of data (luckily someone else had that piece and saved you ayyy)

so needless to say, you were amused, but you decided to distance yourself from volleyball so you could figure some things out

which was the opposite! of what they wanted

so they sent the final resort

METHOD 3: lev had to find you and do the scariest thing known to man....ask you to come take stats for their practice

the entire volleyball team (who wasn't new) all knew what happened to them last time they asked

lev cornered you in the hallway (FREAKING GIANT YOU WERE STARTLED) and asked you really nicely if you could take stats since their team was flubbing their serves

you took pity on the poor child and how the rest of the team sent him to his doom, so you filed for the manager position so you could have a lot more time making them rethink their life choices

the team was hiding behind one of the doors and they all groaned because you were going to kill them!! (all in good fun heheh)

BONUS:

when you arrived at practice, you went to coach nekomata and requested if you could assign a lap of flying falls for every flubbed serve

nekomata LOVED YOU

cue the boys happily crying because they have you, but crying because of the torture they were going to get for sacrificing lev for the greater good

you loved those boys....you were just going to wait to show them that :)

Week 6! The second set just ended and we're heading into the third and final set. But first, we have a little glimpse of what's going on between set for Nekoma in chapter 318.

1) Akane is right, as usual. For a team so well known for their defense, having the winning point in any set scored by the other teams defense is a total mood killer.

2) Captain mode Kuroo, reigning in Lev's energy and boosting Yamamoto's in just a few seconds.

3) It'S jUsT a LiTtLe InTeRnAl BlEeDiNg. So nonchalant about it.

4) Coach Nekomata has apparently known these two since they were kids. They were never going to go anywhere else for high school, were they?

5) Of course Kuroo is the reason Kenma became a setter. Through the brilliant art of deception.

6) I love how well Kuroo knows him. Even after only being friends for a few months. They have one of my favorite friendships.

7) Insane cats. What are Yaku and Lev doing? Fukunaga, my favorite skrunkly boi.

8) Kenma just steps out of the way when the rest of the team gets all hyped. And even Daichi participates a little when the crows decide to copy them.

9) Celebration goes straight into the harsh reminder that this is it for some of them.

“Did you hear that we’re getting a new development driver soon? I think he starts next week. Some guy that used to race in WEC for Porsche, in the GT Pro class. They won the championship and won at Le Mans this year and he decided he was done. Wanted to try something new, I guess.”

Susie furrowed her brow, taking a drink from her water bottle as she leaned against the desk where the simulation engineers sat, behind the massive windows that looked into the sim room. She’d just finished what felt like an absurd amount of laps of the Hungaroring in preparation for the next week’s race.

“How did he end up with us?” she said, thickly.

“He’s an old friend of Niki Lauda’s, they’re both from Vienna. Niki introduced him to Frank, and Frank apparently loved him.” the simulation engineer said, leaning back in his chair. “Toto Wolff is his name. I don’t really follow endurance racing, honestly.”

Susie had heard the name, and was fairly certain she’d seen him in the paddock once or twice, though she hadn’t ever met him.

“You hardly even looked at me today,” the woman said. Her voice was soft, with a sadness that sounded sarcastic and rehearsed, with a bit of a sinister edge to it. It made Emilia shiver. “Even when I came into parc fermé. It took me forever to find you, you’re usually the first person I see when I get out of the car.”

“I’m sorry,” Emilia said. “There was just so much going on. I’m the worst performance coach in the paddock, I know. But I’ll make it up to you.”

“Oh?” She sounded intrigued. “How -” she said, accenting her words with a roll of her hips, creating delightful friction against the front of Emilia’s chinos. “Do you plan on doing that?”

Emilia could practically feel the anticipation of what was to come. It felt like static electricity, making the hairs on her arm stand up and bringing a noticeable heat to her cheeks.

“I think you know,” Emilia said, reaching out to tug gently at the padded jumpsuit pooled around the woman’s waist. “But first, this needs to go.”

“No,” she said, her voice stern. “Not until you ask nicely.”

“It’s not that I don’t like Williams, but this will be my third season, and It feels like the team changes so much every year, and now, I don't even know who the team principal is going to be, unless…”

She leaned in closer to Susie as she glanced around the mostly-empty cafe, dropping her voice to a near-whisper, “I mean, I’ve heard things, you know, online. I don’t know if it’s just collective wishful thinking, or if there's any substance to it…”

Susie smiled, and took a delicate sip of her espresso with a sly look on her face.

“No, I can tell you that it’s not me.” she said, setting the small cup back on its saucer. “I can also tell you that I will be involved in F1 in some way. Things aren’t finalized, but I will have my own project to manage. I can’t say anything about it yet -” she said, noticing the way Bee's eyebrows shot up “- but it’s a very exciting prospect. I can, however, also tell you that I know one of the candidates that the team is considering very seriously. I know him very well, and you do, too, and I think you’ll feel better about things if it goes through.”

Bee huffed, leaning back in her chair. She wracked her brain trying to pick apart what Susie was telling her. She hated the abundance of cloak-and-dagger, behind-the-curtain dealings in Formula 1. Some of it was necessary, though. Some matters, especially negotiating contracts for drivers and high-level team staff, were a delicate process. If it were all more open and transparent, outside influences could cause all of it to go to hell.

“Wait,” Bee said, chewing her lip a little bit. “If you know, then…” She narrowed her eyes. “It must be someone from Brackley.”

There’s a feeling you get when someone’s staring. You just know without actually seeing it, call it the sixth sense if you wish. It can go unnoticed at first – sneaky glances may be hard to catch, but when they get intense, you won’t be able to miss it.

And right now… You could feel it.

It was most likely too early for you to wake up on a Saturday. There was no work, no errands to run, no… schedule. You were free to laze out in bed for as long as you desired. And you wanted to stay there forever after the emotional rollercoaster the past few weeks had been. Rest was much needed, and you surely disliked that someone decided to disturb your slumber with the unabashed ogling.

You were definitely aware of his eyes right on your face.

And it was so annoying! Especially because you were desperately trying to hold onto the last remnants of your sleepiness, and berating him required actually letting go of those. After a few minutes of internal battle, you decided to crack one eye open to evaluate the situation.

He was staring.

‘Umgh-’ You grumbled, scrunching your nose in displeasure.

Why was he even awake? The curtains were shut, the morning light getting through them was quite bleak, and yet there he was. Not sleeping and not letting you do so in peace. Never could’ve thought he had such malice in him.

You yawned and shifted awkwardly, feeling unfriendly prickling in your arm. It must’ve fallen asleep. The lucky one.

Rubbing your eyes to regain clear vision, you moved to lie on your back. Meanwhile, Baekhyun, who was leaning on his palm, tilted his head curiously to the side and kept watching. You witnessed the tiny action as soon as you opened your eyes and examined him, blinking drowsily every other second.

His hair was a hot mess, and you wondered if he woke up like this and just didn’t care, or if he actually had no idea that he had a blond coxcomb going on up there. It would’ve been funny in any other scenario. Or even cute. Enough for you to tease him lovingly for it. And pull him closer to kiss those plump rosy lips. Then go on to explore his neck. It’d probably get just as rosy as his lips by that time – he reacted to your touch instantly. But…

He was still looking, and it made you squirm.

‘What is it?’ You muttered in a hoarse voice, getting a bit fidgety under the intense gaze.

He shook his head, and you rolled your eyes, repeating your question a bit more pointedly.

‘I was just wondering… Your face gets puffy in the morning, how come?’

Well, you were wide awake now.

‘What?!’ Your palms found your face, covering it quickly. ‘Were you just… Lying here for hours, laughing at my swollen face?’

‘Who’s laughing?’ Baekhyun asked in a confused tone.

You groaned, completely embarrassed. Of course, after the first night you spend over at his place… he had to wake up before you and witness you in all your morning glory. It was undoubtedly due to the excessive amount of tea you’d had yesterday, simply because he kept messing up the proportions while brewing ‘the perfect cup’. Over and over again. Would’ve done well not mentioning any of it to you, though!

‘Hey,’ he tried to pull your hands away, but you made an aggressively whiny sound.

‘Don’t touch me. You should’ve just woke-’

‘Sorry I made you uncomfortable with the staring,’ he interrupted your complaint. ‘I just couldn’t believe it.’

He was… making it worse. And there wasn’t any humor in his voice either. You could’ve taken it if that was one of his silly jokes, but he seemed entirely serious about the issue.

Now that your frustration turned into mortification, you were actually on your way to becoming upset.

‘Stop hiding,’ Baekhyun said, and you whinged at his lame attempt to get you to show that puffy face again.

As you turned to the other side, he decided it was best to trap you. Using not just his arms but his entire body – his left leg going over your thigh to lock you in position. That octopus hold was already quite familiar to you. So familiar that you didn’t even try to shake him off – you knew there was no escaping from it.

‘I’m sorry, Y/N-ie,’ he murmured in your ear good-naturedly. ‘I was just fascinated by the fact that even perfect creatures like you can have the same problems as me.’

Perfect? Did he say perfect?

You groused in response, assuming that he was just mocking you further. But he continued.

‘I also didn’t know you look so adorable when your face gets puffy. Just itched to kiss your cute little cheeks, but didn’t want to wake you.’

He still… didn’t sound like he was joking.

‘You wanted to… what?’

Baekhyun giggled, breath tickling your ear as he replied.

‘Let your hands down and I’ll show you what.’

You moved one palm to eye him closely.

‘Are you trying to make it sexual?’

He chuckled, caught red-handed – as per usual.

‘In any case, I think you’re cute as heck and deserve to be suffocated with kisses.’

Squirming again, you elbowed him feebly, unsure whether you wanted to put up a fight or not. Lounging in bed like this – limbs intertwined – was your favorite, and you were ready to give in to that any time.

Baekhyun finally peeled your palms off your face and was met with a rather determined pout.

‘You look fairly squishy yourself, you know?’ Showcasing that, you pinched his cheek the way people do with kids.

‘I’m gonna squish yours, and then you can squish mine,’ he dictated, getting settled comfortably on top of you after swatting your hand away.

‘Everything you say just sounds… wrong,’ you noted lazily.

He knitted his eyebrows, feigning annoyance.

‘Stop grumbling and enjoy your exclusive lips-to-face massage.’

You snorted, arms snaking under his tee to stroke his warm back.

‘What kind of innovation is that?’

Baekhyun’s right palm held your face still while his lips pressed to your cheek tenderly.

‘I’m going to patent it,’ he purred between kisses. ‘And every time you try to use my technique, you’ll have to pay me.’

The unhurried kissing continued, making you all but melt in the mellow morning haze. You shivered in delight, inquiring breathlessly:

‘How much?’

At this he laughed softly, eyes crinkling in that lovely Baekhyun way that never failed to make you jittery.

‘I’m sure we can strike a deal on that, Coach.’

#1 Toru Oikawa || xSemi

You go to Shiratorizawa (I had to do it) and it’s fucking hilarious to you

Your brother hates you for it but there is also nothing he can do, your there on an academic scholarship and have been for the past two years. It was thanks to your brother that you met their middle school team while you attended KitaDai because of his rivalry with Ushijima who’s head is a brick. In all honesty you go to Shiratorizawa just in spite of your brother, you are both petty and there is no denying it. The volleyball team there loves you, you’re a weapon against Oikawa because you know all of his moves before he makes them and he has such a reliance on Iwa that you know how to exploit it.

You’re not just a manager to them, you help coach with tactics, strategies, and training schedules. Ushijima is like another brother to you while Semi and you are the parents with all your kids trying to set you up, even the fucking coaches while Tendo is your #1 problem child. Also, everyone knows you and Oikawa are siblings, you share the same last name and your both well known enough to have people put the pieces together. May I just say it’s hilarious to Shiratorizawa that they did get Ushijima’s wish, he got Oikawa at Shiratorizawa and you were all such a chaotic group when it came down to it.

As for Seijoh, they had heard of you due to your brother but they never properly met you until the final for the Interhigh. You already knew Iwa because he grew up with you guys and you loved him like another brother, you were well aware of his feelings toward your twin. It was an amusing meeting seeing as you just strolled over to them in the almost empty corridor while clad in your Shiratorizawa uniform. The team had a good idea on who you were on your looks and smirk alone but the mocking “Yahoo~” that escaped you was their confirmation.

The first meeting was rather hostile considering it was before a match between your two teams, the finals to be exact. Iwa was the least tense out of the whole team and that includes your dear brother. You don’t taunt your brother too much, you know how little self-confidence he has and as his twin you can’t just let him suffer like that. Joint humiliation with the other two third years? You’re all for it. Kunimi and Yahaba may as well worship you because of all the blackmail you have on Oikawa and Maki and Mattsun aren’t any better when it comes down to it. Watari and Kindaichi see you as more level-headed than your brother as well as more focused, Iwa is just wondering why your here again.

Your lovely meeting is interrupted by none other than Semi who brings back the negative tension in the air at the reminder of the upcoming game. He easily wraps an arm around your shoulders before stealing you away after you both wish the turquoise team good luck. You felt a small pressure at the top of your head and had a good idea that Semi had kissed the top of your head, what you didn’t see was the enraged look of your twin and his best friend at the action and you barely heard Oikawa’s shrieks that they would beat Shiratorizawa due to your tangled thoughts.

“Good luck Oikawa-san, let’s see if you can beat us when you have your twin’s tactics thrown at you.”

#2 Issei Matsukawa || xHanamaki

You go to Date Tech and you have a heart attack each time you see Moniwa because he looks so much like your brother? What the hell?

Not a lot of people know you two are related and you two rarely see each other outside of the house because it wasn’t often that you play each other. You both are pretty similar in the way you have an easy-going attitude and you pretty much go with the flow with whatever and it can cause you a lot of trouble so Date Tech is pretty protective of you.

Maki is the only one that knows about you on Seijoh and that is due to him being Mattsun’s best friend as well as your boyfriend since your first year of high school. You are truly what holds them back from causing mass destruction even when you seem pretty indifferent to most everything since you’re not prone to showing off your emotions and just do whatever. It’s why your first meeting with the whole of Seijoh was a bit surprising to the two boys.

It was the Interhigh Prelims, your last Prelims with Date Tech and the last Prelims of your high school life and Karasuno had just pulled the rug from under you guys with their indestructible duo. That’s how Seijoh found you, sitting in an empty hallway with your head in your hands while you silently cried. You didn’t want the rest of Date Tech to worry about you because of the loss but the third years knew how you felt because there was a tradition set in place to let your underclassmen thrive, the third years would retire, no matter their position. Your boyfriend and brother were by your side in a second and the rest of the team could only watch.

The third years felt sorry for you and the slow horror settled in that this was their last year too, yours just happened to end sooner than theirs. The second years didn’t know what to do to help cheer you up but Yahaba was the one that told you they would beat Karasuno for you and your team. Kunimi and Kindaichi were so lost on what to do since they had no idea who you were until you introduced yourself as Matsukawa (Y/N). They all liked you rather well and that evening they swept you away from Date Tech who honestly wasn’t that surprised about why you had been stolen away, the team treated you to ramen.

“Don’t worry (Y/N)-chan, we’ll beat those crows for you and your team.”

#3 Takahiro Hanamaki || xDaichi

You go to Karasuno and it’s simply due to you not wanting to go to a private high school so you chose to go to a local high school. Your parents are busy people and having two kids in a private high school would get expensive considering you have three younger siblings.

You’ve been team manager since before Kiyoko who is kind of your helper most of the time but is still a truly efficient manager without your help. Karasuno knows you have a sibling, a twin, but they don’t know who you’re related to but when asked you have no problems answering the question of your relation, Kageyama was a little wary of you since your brother went to Seijoh along with Oikawa but you promised you’d punch the captain next time you saw him. Daichi said no. You’re kind of a wildcard if I’m going to be honest because you can be as chaotic as Tanaka and Noya or you can be as calm and motherly as Suga which is why Karasuno’s captain had such an interest in you.

You didn’t properly meet Seijoh until the Preliminaries seeing as it mostly been brief waves, hellos, and good lucks when you met in the halls. Oikawa was actually the one that found you in the hallway when you were taking a breath of air away from the team, the first years hated seeing you upset and the second years were a bit numb but you third years were in pain, you had fallen so hard a few years ago and when you thought you had a chance it was taken before your eyes. The Seijoh captain tried flirting with you, telling you how someone as stunning as you shouldn’t be crying. Maki hit him upside the head before ruffling your hair with a sad smile.

The third years liked you rather well and Mattsun was the only one that knew you before hand while the others saw you as Karasuno’s Head Manager. They understood your pain but they wouldn’t apologize for winning and you wouldn’t dare to even take that apology in the first place. The second years were a little lost but liked you well enough when you ruffled their heads and told them they did a good job and they deserved that win they started to cry. The first years, Iwa, and Oikawa were the most cautious around you because you were very protective of your first years and that was especially clear with Kageyama. They found you nice though, they were glad you weren’t mad at them for taking Karasuno’s chance for nationals.

“Don’t worry about it. You lot may have won this time but next time we won’t lose.” After that you left to look for your team but Maki teasingly yelled at you to go find yourself a boyfriend so he didn’t have to comfort you when you got home. Lucky for him you did exactly that, it was a bit of a surprise but a good one indeed.

#4 Hajime Iwaizumi || xYuzuru Komaki

You go to Kakugawa High which just recently opened up a volleyball team the year prior, you were rather annoyed that people seemed to think your team was weak.

You are the only third year on the team since you became manager when the team began a year prior and you and the coach had worked hard on making the team possible even if you weren’t the best or had any overly outstanding players on your team. Things had become easier thanks to the team captain Komaki Yuzuru who had helped you build the team once he joined and convinced his friends to join. The two of you will constantly be working on tactics of how to get the team better and more prepared for tournaments but it’s hard when no one wants to have a practice match with you. Because your team isn’t well known you and Iwa’s relation isn’t known to anyone except for a few like Oikawa.

When you meet Seijoh it’s after the Prelim Finals that they lost to Shiratorizawa, they had gone to the local ramen shop to eat away their sadness. Things got a little side tracked when Oikawa saw you with Komaki making plans for the Spring Tournament so you could prepare the team again the boy thought it was a date. It was but Iwa doesn’t need to know that. The loud whine he gave was enough to give you a headache which caused the Kakugawa captain to give your hand a little pat. Iwa was a little surprised about seeing you there since he thought you’d be hanging out else where, he’s protective of you and when he saw you with the Kakugawa captain he was on guard.

Maki and Mattsun like you a lot though you’re a bit too serious for their liking but you’re organized and very efficient. Oikawa already knows you and has claimed you as his sibling so he’s pretty protective of you as well. Yahaba and Watari like and respect you a lot because you’ve had to deal with Iwa and Oikawa for how long? Kunimi and Kindaichi find your passion to be strong, you truly care about your team and want them to go stronger even if you have to push them it kind of reminds them of Kageyama in some ways. When Mad-Dog comes around you are the only one other than Iwa he’ll listen to because you intimidate him for some reason. He also has a crush on you and sees Komaki as a threat as he probably should.

“Well we’re actually here on a date so please leave us be, I’m sure (Y/N) can talk to you later considering she lives with your vice-captain so please leave so we can enjoy our date.”

#6 Shigeru Yahaba || xShirabu

You got to Shiratorizawa and your dating Shirabu, it’s the most hilarious thing in the world to Tendo

The teams know you and Yahaba are related because you two bicker like all the time, stupid creampuff twins. You two are two halves of a whole idiot and it’s chaotic to say the least because dear lord is a mess to have you two in the same room; Watari and Shirabu typically have to split you two apart though the salty setter is reluctant he’ll follow Ushijima’s orders. The story of how you met Seijoh was a bit strange because it had taken place at a training camp Shiratorizawa had been holding the year prior and Seijoh had to come.

The two teams are such rivals and you’re in it for the ride. You love to rile up your brother, it’s the best thing in the world for you to do so that’s all you were doing during the training camp. Of course you did your job but you had fun getting on your brother’s nerves, which is how you and Shirabu ended up together because those two are rivals an you and Shirabu are spiteful and petty bitches so what did you do to break Yahaba? You pretended to date the whole training camp. Shiratorizawa found it rather amusing but they were also not that surprised, Semi also commented how it looked like you two weren’t acting because you weren’t. Yahaba almost lost it when you gave the salty setter a kiss on the cheek.

Maki and Mattsun find you hilarious once they found out it was a prank by Shirabu and you but they agreed with Semi so you found yourself locked in a supply closet until you two confessed. Oikawa scolded you for teasing his precious student but you just flipped him off and Iwa loves you for it, he finds you pretty amusing but is surprised and worried about how spiteful and petty you can be. Watari gets a headache when you and Yahaba are in the same room because holy shit do you two bicker or go after each other but he’s used to it. The first years were amused and you and Kunimi got along great considering you both loved blackmail on people, especially Yahaba and Oikawa.

“Every time this happens and each time it’s a mistake,” Watari sighed.

#7 Shinji Watari || xNakashima

You go to Wakutani Minami High and you love it, the team isn’t that chaotic and you are all pretty calm and easy going. No one knows you two are related because you’re both so quiet and don’t like the spotlight

Your team is part of your family and they cherish you because you’re their only manager who is extremely quiet. It doesn’t help that Wakutani’s captain, Takeru Nakashima, was very protective of you due to having feelings for you but would try and fail to brush it off. As I said the team is part of your family so when team bonding happens at Nakashima’s place it’s typical that it’ll become a sleepover (if you’re a girl you’ll sleep in another room if you want if your a guy you’ll sleep in the living room with the boys). These sleepovers were common for the weekend before and during a tournament because it was just a feeling of closeness bonds the team. One of these sleepovers was interrupted by your twin needing you to bring something he forgot at home.

Watari is forgetful and often leaves for practice on Saturday morning in a rush for sleeping in too late and he forgets things; keys, money, gifts, his gym bag, shoes, etc. This time he forgot his wallet and Seijoh was supposed to go out to hang out at the mall later that day so you being the nice twin you are, agree to help him. You didn’t change out of your sweatpants and sleep shirt but you grabbed a random Wakutani jacket off the ground because it’s too cold in the mornings and left a note to your boys so they wouldn’t worry they still would though.

When you arrived at Seijoh the players had no idea who you were other than some stranger wearing a Wakutani volleyball jacket that was too big for you while looking like you just rolled out of bed because you did. You easily spotted your brother and walked over to him before handing over his wallet which he quietly thanked you for. Everyone figured out who you were after Watari introduced you and they all immediately liked you because of you small act of kindness toward your brother. You’ve been adopted by IwaOi and there is no escape, Mattsun and Maki want to corrupt you with pranks and vines but Yahaba scolds them into submission. Kindaichi thinks your nice and also very tired which is also why Kunimi respects you because sleep buddies. You’re a quiet person but the amount of naps you take makes people wonder how much sleep you actually get. You got a frantic call from Nakashima who was panicking with the rest of Wakutani on where you were.

“I was just bringing my brother some stuff at Seijoh.”

“BROTHER? WAIT— YOU’RE AT SEIJOH? WE’LL BE RIGHT THERE.”

“Takeru, no.”

#12 Yutaro Kindaichi || xNone

You go to Johzenji and no one beside Kunimi knows you two are related due to you both being first years

You have a good relationship with your team, you and the other two managers are all so done with the team and you better believe Terushima is going to give you a headache 24/7. I’ll be frank you’re nervous for when Hana leaves next year and leaves you and Runa to deal with the boys because you’re not ready. You’re not one that deals with chaos easily which is why Johzenji is so hectic to you but you wouldn’t trade your boys for the world. They treat you and Runa like little siblings and will try and intimidate anyone that comes near you two. When you’re pissed off they are terrified of you.

It was actually a practice match, both teams are in the top 4 in the prefecture after all it’s only right that they’ll end up practicing with you in the future. Seijoh was holding the meeting and Johzenji had arrived early for once and Kindaichi was surprised to see you. He wasn’t aware you were a volleyball manager, you never were the year prior or at all during junior high so he immediately blurted out the question like the impulsive person he was. Kunimi recognized you because you two went to school together and shared most of your classes in junior high also you were his best friend’s twin.

Kunimi liked you a lot, you two tended to gang up on your brother and tease him to death. Oikawa and Iwaizumi faintly remember you but not overly much seeing as you never interacted before but they can tell you’re the more sensible one out of you and Kindaichi. Watari and Yahaba like you well enough but don’t know what to make of you since not only are you a year younger than them but they know next to nothing about you other than you’re Kindaichi’s twin. Mattsun and Maki are amused by you but they only like you so much since you stop their pranks during the practice match as well as your team’s chaos. The whole team respects you because not just anyone can manager Johzenji but the three of you managers put up with it and deal with them.

“TERUSHIMA IF YOU TRY TO THROW ANOTHER GLITTER BOMB AT SEIJOH SO HELP ME— WAIT, WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THE FUCKING GLITTER BOMBS?”

“Mattsun and Maki gave them to me! Please don’t kill me!”

“MATTSUN-SAN! MAKI-SAN!”

#13 Akira Kunimi || xLev

You go to Nekoma due to your parents getting divorced and your dad taking you with him to Tokyo. You’re best friend is Kenma btw and you two are the resident cats. No one really knows you and Kunimi are related because you live in different prefectures and you both rather sleep than talk.

Yaku was the one that recruited you when he noticed you watching a volleyball match of a team in Miyagi and writing down stats and notes. The team was Seijoh and you were helping your brother. He asked you to become a manager for Nekoma and you’re reluctant due to you much rather sleep than put in time and effort to something not your family because you don’t have friends. Ultimately you agree and just like they swore to protect Kenma they protect you, two sleep cat children. Lev liked you a lot and everyone knew he liked you, you even knew but you didn’t particularly care enough to tell him to go away. He was a much more comfortable pillow than the floor. Kuroo treated you like a little sister since you were around Kenma so often. You’re a great manager who was highly intelligent but always sleepy (sleepy-chan who?)

You met Seijoh during Nekoma’s practice against Karasuno during Golden Week when you were looking for Kenma who had run off and disappeared. You too were no lost since you haven’t been in Miyagi for years so you were kind of wondering around when you stumbled across Seijoh, you just hoped they knew where Karasuno was. When you walked into the gym clad in your red Nekoma manager gear with a sleepy look in your eye they were all curious. When you asked where Karasuno was they were confused until you explained that your team was here from Tokyo to meet with the team for a practice match. They were jealous. When the coaches asked for your name everything made sense because you were Kunimi (Y/N) and were twins with Kunimi Akira. Kunimi greeted you and it took you a moment to realize that his is your twin brother that you haven’t seen in two year.

Seijoh sees you as another Kunimi except female and wearing red and they are 100% right because you’re 100% done. Oikawa tried and failed to flirt with you, much to your displeasure because the only one really allowed to flirt with you was Lev not because you were starting to gain feelings for him, definitely not. Kindaichi liked you since you were a lot like your twin who was his best friend though he was offended that he wasn’t made aware of your existence. The second years find you amusing due to your pretty chill attitude toward everything and the third years are trying to see if they can get you to transfer schools. They all wanted you to transfer schools when you asked your twin if the notes you sent back were helpful for the team because you could’ve used that time to sleep or help Nekoma because you were the one giving those detailed notes to Kunimi? Adopted

Kuroo and Kenma found you a little bit later telling you how you went in the wrong direction of your hotel. You wished the boys goodbye and good luck before going off with your best friend and his boyfriend.

“Akira has my number if you want me too analyze something but if you wake me up from a nap you better fucking run.”

#16 Kentaro Kyotani || xAtsumu

You go to Inarizaki because your parents are divorced which lead to Kyotani having more anger management than he formerly had, you however were much calmer about the fact though you were a little pissed off. Also the likeliness of you actually meeting Seijoh is slim to none because not only do you live so far away but your brother is extremely private and doesn’t like letting people close.

I like to think you would meet Seijoh by surprising your brother at one of his practices with Osamu after prefectural finals happened and teams are preparing for Spring Nationals. Let it be known that Inarizaki are extremely protective of you and will not let you go anywhere alone, this was especially after a few drunks tried to corner you in the street as well as when Atsumu’s fangirls came after you, they refused to let you go anywhere alone. Since your boyfriend was off at the Junior Nationals Training Camp he had his brother go with you to see your own twin brother.

When I say Kyotani is surprised to see you I mean he thought he had hit his head kind of surprised, that was until you tackled him to the ground and yelled at him from getting suspended from volleyball for a month. Seijoh had no idea who you were but they thought you were a goner when they saw you tackle their resident “Mad-Dog” to the ground without hesitation. They had all noted Osamu’s and your’s Inarizaki uniforms and they of course knew what school Inarizaki was because you guys are a powerhouse team that has been making it to Nationals for years.

Yahaba and Watari respected you so much after introducing yourself and punching your brother in the gut. The first years were kind of intimidated by you but you didn’t really care and the third years were amused by the dynamic between you two. You were rather friendly and kind but you had a sternness in you that they could tell was used on your players. Oikawa tried to flirt with you but Osamu interrupted and told the brunette you had a boyfriend which enraged your brother because how dare you not tell him and let him beat the boy up.

“Since when do you have a boyfriend?”

“Since last year.”

“Name.”

“Miya Atsumu.”

“THAT FUCKER?!”

“I’d argue if it wasn’t true,” Osamu sighed

Summery: 1st day of the training camp

When we came back for the longer training camp I was much more relaxed. Last time it was only one night but just a few weeks later and were back. Everyone’s been starting to try new things, I think last training camp had everyone realizing we don’t match up at all. Iv been working with Noya a bit more on receiving and everything a libero does as well as working with Tanaka on spiking. But the most interesting thing Iv been doing is helping Kagayama out, he’s working on a new kind of set and asked me if I would throw for him one day after practice, I was hanging back a bit myself just not wanting to leave the gym and so I decided to help him out. I’m seeing a new side to him I didn’t know, I’m used to seeing him as the perfect setter like he could do anything, but seeing him struggling and frustrated is new. The day before we left for training camp we were practicing his set and he got angrier then I had ever seen him, he threw the ball and shouted.

“Ahhhhhh! Why can’t I get it!”

I’m immediately on the ground trying to figure out what to do to help calm him down, but the only thing I can think of that he likes is volleyball. Sooo

“Kageyama!” He pauses to look at me, “umm I was wondering if you wanted to take a break from your set and maybe help me with mine instead.” I guess that got him to pause since he was now just looking at me, “is just Iv been wanting to work on it for a while now but it’s just, your so good at it and I just wanted to ask for some pointers, and it just seems like you could use a break so.” His breathing has started to even out a bit more, he looks a bit caught off guard.

“Ughh yeah I can do that.” So for the next half hour we worked ok my set, I made sure to praise and complement him on his set to make sure he knew how talented he was, I’m sure working so hard on a set and not being able to get it is really frustrating. After a while we were both tired so we moved to sit down drinking our water in silence.

“Thank you for helping me out, and you know for calming me down.” His voice got quieter as the sentence went on but I understood what he was getting at.

“It’s all good kageyama. I bet it’s frustrating.” He looks over at me and we make eye contact, it’s nice.

“Iv always been able to get it, and I just haven’t had to do something new like that in a while.”

“I know it’s frustrating, and I know I don’t know a lot about volleyball but even I know your one of the most talented players, you’ll get it, it’s just going to take a bit of time.”

“Thanks (Y/N)”

I smile over at him happy I could help in anyway, he pulls out his phone to check the time, “holy shit it’s late.” I look over at his phone and realize it’s 12:30 already!

“Oh wow.” Kagayama looks over at me and we start laughing, both realizing how wild it is that we stayed here for that long, “oh my god our buss to head to training camp is going to be here is like 4 hours!” Kagayama starts laughing louder.

“Holy shut we should head home huh?!” Both of us calm down our giggles before moving to walk home, we walk mostly together till we half to part ways, “well I’ll see you in a few hours Kags.”

He smiles at me a little “yeah I’ll see you in a few hours.” And with that we split ways.

It’s before the sun comes up that we have to be at the busses so naturally everyone is very tired. I meet Tsuki and Yams there but once Kagayama shows up I move over to him, he’s looking through his bag and so I ask “making sure you packed everything?” He look up startled but his gaze softens when he sees it’s me, “yeah after how late we got home last night I didn’t really have time to pack properly.” I giggle at him, “lucky I pack like a week in advance.” He chuckles “maybe I should start doing that to huh.” Coach gives a little speech and tells us all to get on the bus, I was originally planning on sitting wish Tsuki and Yams but they ended up sitting together and Kags asked if I wanted to sit with him so that’s what I did. Not long into the drive I ended up falling asleep with my head on Kagayamas shoulder, and he fell asleep with his on my head. But we were rudely awoken by Daichi “come on idiots were here.” I know I have a massive blush in my face so I get up and move to get off the bus quickly, I hear Daichi chuckle at us but ignore it and move quickly, one off the bus I move to find Tsuki and Yams, “so I see you’ve become friends with the king?” Tsuki says skeptically, “oh shut it Tsuki.” Yams laughs at us as we see Nekoma come out to greet us.

I walk over to where Kenma is talking to Hinata excited to see him again since we talked a bit at the last training camp and he seems super cool, “hey Kenma!” He looks away from Hinata and smiles at me “hey (Y/N), I was just talking to Hinata about the camp.”

“Oh yeah! It’s in a different place, do you know why?” Kenma chuckles at that question “yeah it’s a bigger space and a bit cooler here, but there’s a lot of bugs.”

“Fuck I should have brought bug spray.”

“It’s ok you can use mine if you wanna,” he says smiling a bit.

“Are you sure that would be ok?”

“Yeah I don’t mind!”

“Thanks Kennma.” I smile at him but the moment is cut short by a super tall guy yelling over at Hinata “hey did you grow taller yet?!” The two start bickering and I give Kenma a surprised look,

“that’s Lev, he’s the new kid for us.”

I giggle at the distressed look he gets looking over at the tall kid.

“I’m guessing he’s...a lot.”

“How’d you know?”

“I mean he did interrupt our conversation by yelling at Hinata about his height.” Kenma laughs at that.

“So (Y/N) you play any video games?” Me and Kenma talked the entire walk to Karasanos room, finding we have quite a bit in common, from our love of the same video games to our inability to sleep most nights. He’s nice to talk to, his calm and quiet tone is relaxing to listen to and his more subtle demeanor is cute.

We all put our bags in the room and got ready for our first game today. I didn’t play in the first few, but after a couple they switched me into the libero spot for a while and then I played middle blocker. We aren’t doing too good tho, haven’t won a single game, and after the 8th time doing the run for the loosing team I think I’m gunna die. When the end of the day came around we all collapsed after our last run.

“Ughhh I don’t think I can breath” I hear tanaka yell.

“We lost every game, how’d we lose every game.” Suga asked

We looked into the gym to watch the one game that’s still going, we are nowhere near that level. Daichi sits up and says he’s going to work on the synchronized attack, so everyone started to scatter.

I look over and see Tsuki walking away from the gym most of our team was using and Yams yells over at him “you aren’t going to practice Tsuki?” Tsuki turns around “no, we practice enough already.” And starts walking away, I knew Yams was probably itching to go practice his serve so I tell him, “go, I’ll follow the giraffe.” He smiles gratefully at me and I starts chasing after the blond boy.

“Tsuki wait up!” He doesn’t turn around so I start running faster till I catch up with him. “ughhh why are your legs so long!”

“There not that long yours are just short.”

We pause for a moment, it’s awkward. Me and Tsuki have never had an awkward moment, I don’t like it.

“Aren’t you going to practice?”

“No, we do that enough, everyday for hours we practice, I’m done for the night.”

I’m so lost on what to do at this point, I want him to come practice but I can’t force him too,

“Hey glasses kid,” I hear a voice say and turn around Tsuki stopping in his place, “oh and (Y/N)” it’s Kuroo from Nekoma.

“You guys wanna come practice with us? We could use another blocker!” I look over to Tsuki hopefully, maybe this will be the opportunity to get him motivated. Tsuki looks up and with the fakest smile on his face he says “sorry, I’m all done for the night.”

Kuroo and one of the other guys I think from Fukurodani are both appalled by his response,

“You know he may not look it but he’s one of the top 5 aces is Japan.”

The owl looking guy stands up taller and puffs out his chest looking proud. It’s cute!

“Yeah I think he’s still upset he’s not in the top 3 anymore.” I chuckle, there fun, you can tell they all joke around a lot.

“Well I’m in.” I say walking up to the gym and yelling back at Tsuki “don’t make me do this alone.” The three others stay in the door continuing to try and convince Tsuki to join.

I’m walking through but jump when I her “oh hi” from the floor, looking down it’s the tall kid who was talking to Hinata earlier. He looks like a baby dear before it can walk!

“What happened to you?”

“Kuroo did.” I laugh back at him. He sits up more going over to sit agains the wall and I move to sit next you him.

“Your a first year right? How long have you been playing?” A guy like him is clearly a powerhouse, I assume he’s been playing for years.

“Oh I just started!” He says with a goofy grin on his face,

“You just started!!”

“Hey! How long have you been playing!” He says in an amusing accusatory tone

“Well, I kinda just started too!”

“Haha were tied.” I smile over at him, he looks kinda intimidating but he certainly doesn’t act it as he giggles at our interaction. I think back to when I first saw him earlier he was with Kennma, I wonder where he is?

“Hey your on the team with Kennma right, I just talked to him earlier today and haven’t seen him around much since?”

“Oh Kennma?” I hear Kuroo yell jogging over to us “he went to go play some video games, he’s not really the type that needs to practice, nor do I think we could get him too!” He chuckles.

“Oh that reminds me! Did you get Tsuki to join?”

Kuroo gets a cocky smile on his face looking over his shoulder to see Tsuki looking angry. I get up but before I Kuroo I say “great, you made our tall guy with glasses angry.” I laugh at him sarcastically, he laughs back loudly and we go to start our first practice game of many.

Accidentally Hitting Them in the Balls | Bokuto, Oikawa

Hinata:

The two of you were sat on his bed, lazing away, watching one piece

Hinata sat up with his back leaned back on the wall while you laid on your side, your head and most of your torso over his lap on his pillow

He rest his hand on your side while the two of you were amazed with the new episode

As the episode came to an end, the two of you talked about the episode and the entirety of the entire one piece world, how crazy about how long it was going

The conversation went from the talk of anime to food to volleyball and so many more, the possibilities were always endless

Hinata readjusted his seating, leaning forward, accidentally pressing your side

You let out a loud yelp, squirming harshly, laughing

“Oooh, Y/N are you… ticklish??” He seized your sides, tickling your rapidly as you burst into a fit of laughter and giggles

You tried to push him off, your body spastically turning side to side in his lap, trying to take a hold of his wrists

“S-Shoyo, s-stop,” you wheezed only making Hinata beam even brighter

You turned harshly toward him, your arms bent

You heard a loud yell from Hinata and his tickling ceased

“W-what happened?” You sat up and wiped away the tears that gathered, catching your breath from all the laughter

“I can’t have kids,” he peeped, his voice significantly higher than before as you broke into laughter again

“I’m so sorry,” you laughed, the sound of your voice fading into nothing, just clicking noises as you laughed, barely breathing

“But that’s what you get for tickling me,” you poked, the burn of guilt going through your body seeing him look up at you with a pout

“Zoro wouldn’t struggle like this,” you puffed, purposely bringing up his favorite one piece character

“Eye-“ he coughed

“Leave me to die, then, tell Natsu… I love her…”

“And me?” You asked, tilting your head as he laid on his stomach, half his face pressed into his bed

He dramatically choked on his air and then let out a dying breath, not giving you a response

“Hey!” You chopped his back, giving him ptsd since you chopped him right where Kageyama would kick him

“Gah-“

Kuroo:

The sound of the various meats and kabobs grilled by the managers parents and coaches were covered by the sound of the electric air pump pumping up the bubble battle balls

Giant inflatable bubbles where your body would slip into the little tube opening so others wearing the bubble could bump into each other

But tonight, in celebration of the season ending, these were bought for the whole team and extras to play some fun games

The parents and families of the nekoma pitched in, buying various meats and foods for a grand feast for everyone to enjoy themselves

“Alright, in ya go.” Kuroo laughed as he shoved the ball over your body, pushing you right over and rolling down the hill to the field

Lev and Yaku were already bouncing along with others in the inflatables, bumping into each other, a few curses yelled to Lev as the taller one purposefully bumped into him, knocking the libero over

But his revenge was soon avenged by you as you rolled into him, knocking him over from behind like a bowling ball

In a short time, everyone, including you, were standing on the field to play what Kenma suggested called “last one standing” with the goal being for a single player to be the last one standing

Even though he didn’t play himself

You were absolutely not going to get in the way of all the guys of the team and stood to the side, avoiding everyone, especially kuroo

He was like a mad man, determined to win

The team went down by their captain’s great force, laughter erupting into the golden sky of the sun setting beyond the trees

Over time, you somehow even managed to be the last one with Kuroo but he purposefully done this to actually give you a chance

The others watched from the sides, some still in their bubbles, laughing about what had happened

Lev traumatized by being tackles by both yaku and kuroo at the same time, sending him almost toppling out of his own bubble

You just stood there in the clear bubble, trying to doge kuroo and his numerous attempts to knock you down

You ran around on the field, trying to get away but made the mistake of turning around to find him already charging toward you

He jumped into the air, bumping into your ball, sending you to the ground protected by the bubble

You slid out of it laughing but somehow found Kuroo on the ground in his tube, his legs curled as he howled in his bubble as everyone else was on the ground on the side, laughing their asses off, gasping for air and wiping their tears away

“Tetsu, what happened?” You laughed, pushing the tube off of him

“You kicked me right in my balls,” he breathed, his voice barely audible

He turned onto his face, groaning loudly at the pain he was in, tears falling from his eyes and his face all red

He won the game, but at what cost

Haikyuu!! SPOILERS: Chapter 401, How We Connect the Dots.

**PENULTIMATE SPOILERS BELOW**

I just posted a video with my live reactions to the chapter, but here are my highlights, because FURUDATE YOU MADMAN GENIUS. This chapter connected so much together. So, let’s do:

My Top 10 Thoughts on Haikyuu!! Chapter 401:

10. Of course. In true Furudate fashion, he has Kageyama block the spike from Hinata, BUT, what Kageyama doesn’t realize is all the training on the beach Shoyo has done to prepare for such a moment. And that heel kick! *swoons* Also, someone reacting to Season 4, Episode 9 of the anime, where Hinata kicks the ball back to himself called this happening all those months ago...Furudate is next level at foreshadowing. Not that we didn’t already know that.

9. Hey, remember how in the VERY FIRST chapter of Haikyuu!! Shoyo did this crazy run across the court to score? Yeah, Furudate knows we remember. And he pulls this -- and Kageyama’s beautiful reaction, only for --

-- Only for it to all be a DECOY. Kageyama, you made this monster, you know. I love that Shoyo has come all this way from wanting to score all the points to accepting that the decoy DOES have a vital role to play, and in this instance, it’s allowing Bokuto to score the winning point for the MSBY Black Jackals. Just look at that smile! And of course, Tanaka and Asahi KNOW the power of Hinata as a Decoy...because they’ve been in Bokuto’s shoes before.

8. UGH, the aftermath of that moment is glorious, which will detail down below -- but I love Shoyo and Kageyama’s interaction, though. How they’re still keeping track of each other’s wins and losses, exhausting Miya, hilariously, and showing that they’re on equal footing now, after all these years. This chapter is just cementing the last several chapters’ worth of character development.

7. ARE YOU SHIPPERS READY FOR YOUR FOOD?!

Because these next few pages were healing my shipper heart. I mean, yes, the Kagehina fanbase is raving right now, but let’s talk about THESE ships below, starting with:

Tsukishima x Yamaguchi:

So, Tsukishima, of course, is not sappy about any of this and just points out how the season’s just getting started (ready the fanfics, y’all).

And of course, Yamaguchi wants to watch Tsuki play! Yachi says she’ll come too! I LOVE how just like he was with Akiteru, he doesn’t want them to come watch (even though we all know he’ll love it when they’re there). Now, some people have commented that Yamaguchi could be with Yachi, but y’all...Yachi is in Tokyo. Yamaguchi and Tsuki both live in Miyagi. I can’t wait for all the Sendai Frog/TsukiYama fanfics!

If you’re looking for an extra Kagehina crumble, just look at the end of this adorable exchange between Romero, smol adorable Rubens, and Shoyo (who perfectly crouches down to talk to him MY HEART I CAN’T), to see Kageyama notice that Shoyo can speak multiple languages...oh, honey! If only you know about Hinata and Pedro’s marathons of DBZ in Portugese and English! ^^

Also, Furudate WE SEE YOU. We see you being meta and implying that now Haikyuu!! is over, he’s moving on...Akaashi’s line about going forward hit me hard...it’s like he’s telling us, the fandom, that going on to start something new isn’t so bad. SO YOU SAY.

BOKUAKA NATION -- WE CANON NOW, RIGHT?!

I love that Akaashi gets to interview Bokuto (IS HE GOING TO BE THE STAR of the Volleyball manga Tenma Udai is writing?! He would be PERFECT for it!) and how happy Akaashi looks, even if he and Bokuto realize how differently they view the term “normal.”

ALSO, it’s implied above that Akaashi, Bokuto, and Tenma were going out for drinks...which now....we know that it’s just Bokuto and Akaashi, since Tenma was going home. Uhm, FAN FIC WRITERS ASSEMBLE!

I also love that Udai joins the club, along with Fukurodani’s coach and manager, of people who realize that Bokuto and Akaashi are weirdos but they are weirdos together, so it’s fine.

Keeping the “Ship Train” going, we get little bits of Shimizu x Yachi from the bathhouse before the Inarizaki Match, where Kiyoko finally acknowledges she is okay showing her legs...thanks to Yachi’s words. I also find Suga wanting to know “the tea” on the situation to be adorable.

AND FINALLY, YES, Y’ALL:

I was spoiled with Kuroo’s return, but seriously, Furudate, you saved him for the end here so INTENTIONALLY.

Because OF COURSE Kuroo would work for the JVA. As a promoter. CONNECTING people...with Volleyball...because that’s the Nekoma way.

And FURUDATE ARE YOU SUGGESTING TO US THAT KUROO AND KENMA ARE BUSINESS PARTNERS AND COLLABORATORS BECAUSE MY KUROKEN HEART IS SOARING --

-- and let it be known Atsumu Miya rightfully doesn’t trust Kuroo, and neither does Sakusa. A nice SakuAtsu crumb where we actually see Sakusa agree with Miya without sacrasm or question! Poor Shoyo is a salesman’s dream, though. I mean, Kuroo does look a little sketchy in some of those shots...BUT....

6. Kuroo’s speech about sports was SO fitting. Seriously, everything he says here is BASICALLY what makes Haikyuu!! such a great series. I DID laugh out loud at the line about “hardly anybody dies.”

*Flashbacks to “Dead Daichi” meme*

5. It’s taken us the ENTIRE series, but Kageyama finally talks to Kindaichi and Kunimi. This was so heartwarming, seeing Kageyama wanting to play WITH THEM. AS A TEAM. This made my heart expand three sizes. The character development on Kageyama, and Kindaichi, is through the roof.

I also LOVE Kunimi the most in these panels. Kunimi is a MOOD.

Y’ALL. I’VE WAITED 400 CHAPTERS FOR THIS PANEL OF THESE THREE HAPPY AND BECOMING FRIENDS AGAIN.

4. I love that Hoshiumi doesn’t see Hinata as a Rival, but as someone that is going to help him show the rest of the world the strength of someone who doesn’t have height. I also find it interesting that we see the Japanese Olympic Coach walking out just as Hoshiumi gives us that beautiful gaze. So...does Hoshiumi know he’s going to be on the Olympic team, with Hinata, maybe? Foreshadowing, perhaps?

3. Okay, okay, I held it together until this page.

It wasn’t Ushijima’s panel with Washijo that got me.

It wasn’t Saeko and Akane reuniting, though that was sweet.

It wasn’t the three “Pure Captains” reuniting, though it made my heart happy.

It honestly wasn’t the five first years together, either. They’re all so happy and having a laugh at Kageyama’s expense, and as beautiful as that panel is.

SUGAWARA IN LINE TO GET KAGEYAMA’S AUTOGRAPH.

That is what got me.

Him in line, so meekly, to get the autograph of his kouhai, the man Suga joked would have to tell about how much he learned from HIM when he was giving out interviews and autographs...I just...Sugawara made me cry. That is all.

2. Then there’s this last page. 2021.

"We overcame difficulties and stand here.”

Furudate really said “screw you” to Covid messing up the timeline.

Yes, seeing Kageyama and Hinata in their original jersey numbers was amazing, but I think we all saw that coming if these two happened to get on the Olympic team.

What I want to focus on are the two countries we see included in the bottom corner here. We see:

Brazil -- and some fluffy haired man carrying the flag for the team.

And we see the United States -- there’s several American Flags and stars and stripes on the shirts of the crowd, there.

SO, HEADCANON TIME:

* Oikawa was on the Argentinean League, so could he play for Brazil? It’s not likely, but not impossible....BUT, I don’t think that’s it.

I don’t think Oikawa is on Japan’s National Team for the Olympics.

If he is on the Olympic Team, I think he’ll be on America’s.

Why? Because, and this could be because I’m the biggest IwaOi shipper, but Iwaizumi was still in the United States with Ushijima’s father at the end of Chapter 395. And if he’s still there, there is no reason why Iwaizumi couldn’t be a physical trainer alongside Ushijima’s father for the U.S. Olympic team. And why wouldn’t Oikawa trek over to the States to be on the same team as Iwa-Chan’s working with? I’m probably wrong, BUT --

We also still need to see Seijoh’s banner, and as others have theorized, how fitting would it be to see Hinata, Kageyama, and (probably) Ushijima on the team facing Oikawa? I just....I’m betting money that Oikawa shows up in 402. I hope we at least see him on the Olympic Stage. OIKAWA DESERVES IT.

1. So, who are we missing that hasn’t been shown yet?

We still need to see the rest of Nekoma (Lev, Yaku, Yamamoto, Kai....could they be in the stands or on the Japan team? I guess we’ll find out!)

We haven’t seen Daishou and Mika -- I would love to see them watching or narrating in the audience during the Olympic game.

And finally, yes, we’ve seen Tendo in the Chapter 395 flashback, but we’ve never seen what he’s DOING. Furudate has shown us with every character what they’ve been doing since the timeskip....EXCEPT TENDO. I’m calling it that he’ll appear one more time next chapter, too.

So....guys....I’m staying off of Social Media from Wednesday to Sunday next week, to prep for the last chapter and not be spoiled. I’m going to do a live reaction for YouTube, and I’ll post it here. You can see the one I did for 401 now.

Furudate, this series has been immaculate. Time for one more round.

"I'm really sorry Y/N. I just don't see this going anywhere. We are both leaving for college soon and going to different schools at that" your boyfriend of the past 2 years, Naoi Manabu said as he looked down to the ground kicking the dirt below his feet.

Your eyes watered as you drown out the words he's saying.

"B-but we can make this work. I can come see you on weekends and we can still see each other over holidays and school breaks" you plead trying to save a relationship you know is doomed.

The past weeks had been rough to say the least. Manabu had been growing distant from you. Making excuses and staying later for volleyball practice to avoid walking home with you. To say it hurt would be an understatement. It broke your heart.

"Y/N I'm sorry, I just can't do this" Manabu said as he looked up seeing tears welling in your eyes.

"I love you. Doesn't that mean anything?" You say sternly as tears roll down your cheeks.

"Y/N-" he starts saying as you place your hand in front of his face.

"No. Don't. I gave you everything. I stuck by you through it all! I stayed late to walk with you home from volleyball practice. I came to as many games as I could! I stayed up late helping you study! Fuck I gave you my virginity!" You scream.

The emotions are just too overwhelming.

"Y/N-" Manabu tries to say as you turn.

"No. I'm done. Good luck with your life Naoi" you turn away letting the tears flow as you start to jog away.

Almost on cue the sky opens up and rain pours down on your head. This is just like one of those awful romance novels. The girl gets dumped by the love of her life only for rain to continue to dampen her day. Just fucking fantastic.

This was quite literally the worst day of your life.

*8 years later*

"Y/N darling can you please water the flowers outside. I forgot to have Vee do it this morning" Your boss asks you politely with a smile.

"Of course! Let me just finish this arrangement and I'll get to watering. You can head home if you like Bella. I know your poor husband must be starving waiting for you" you giggle as Bella rolls her eyes.

"Let him die. No good worthless piece of crap. Couldn't even take the garbage out last night like I asked him too" Bella huffed as she walked over to your table.

"Stay single Y/N, trust me getting married is for the birds. Sure you meet some handsome young man and he charms his way into your life but the MINUTE he says 'I do' its all down hill from there" Bella says to you as she sternly shakes her finger.

You can't help but laugh. Bella is in her 70s and has been married to the same man for 50 years. He's really very kind and helpful in the shop when he comes and visits. Sometimes you think Bella expects too much from her husband but she's quick to shut you up.

"If you don't establish dominance Y/N, these men will walk all over you! You are young and beautiful. You don't want any man. And if you do, find one who will worship the ground you walk on. A man who will lay his coat over a pile of manure for you to walk. A man who will put your pleasure before his own" she says as she lectures you for the 10th time this week.

Bella loved you like her own daughter. Her son had moved away years ago and wasn't around much. She often invited you and Vee to have dinner with her and her husband. The dinners were entertaining to say the least. Usually ending with Bella ranting about how naive women now a days are or how shallow men are.

You enjoyed your time with Bella and her husband even if you didn't share the same sentiment as Bella did.

You hadn't been on a date in over a year. Every relationship seemed to go the same way. There was never a connection. You tried hard through college and after to find someone but always managed to come up empty.

After you graduated college, you took a high paying job in Tokyo. While you were more than qualified for the job, it provided you with little pleasure. It wasn't until you stumbled into Bella's flower shop that you found yourself truly happy.

Surrounded by beautiful flowers and arrangements. It was like heaven. You returned to Bellas weekly to get a bouquet. Soon you found yourself becoming friends with Vee and Bella. It wasn't until Bella mentioned needing help that you made the decision to quite your job and start anew. While the jobs pay was much less than you had become accustom too, your lifestyle really didn't change. You sold your suits in exchange for overhauls, shorts and t-shirts. You got accustomed to dirt below your fingers rather than finely manicure nails. Sure it was a big change but you were so much happier.

You're days were long and busy. Often starting early and closing late. You didn't have family close by, and no significant other so you often took extra shifts and offered to help so the other two ladies could enjoy their husband's.

Both ladies knew about your past dating relationships and the "one that got away" as they so ironically referred to it.

You couldn't lie to yourself. You often thought of Naoi Manabu.

What was he doing?

You were sure he had to be married by now. It had been 8 years since you had last seen him.

After you broke up, you avoided the man like the plague. It helped you only had a week before school ended and you graduated. It didn't seem like he was too worked up over your break up. You had spent far too many nights crying over him.

You felt like you had lost the love of your life.

You, in fact, had.

"KENMAAAA" Coach Nekomata screams "stop running from the ball! We've been over this a million times!"

"I'd like to keep my limbs thanks" Kuzome Kenma whispers as he turns back to see Kuroo Tetsuro snickering.

"Kenma you act like you've never blocked a ball in your entire life" Kuroo teases the setter mercerously.

"Well I wouldn't have to if someone had read into the switch" Kenma glares at Kuroo who's smile drops.

"Alright that's enough" Naoi shouts as the boys return to their practice match.

He sits next to Coach Nekomata as he sighs "do you think they will be ready for nationals? We've only got a month before we leave. They've still got a long way to-"

"Naoi have faith. They will be ready. They are strong" Coach Nekomata smiles as he watches the boys continue to practice.

The game ends as the boys begin to pack up the gym.

Yaku Morisuke sighs as he finishes his stretches.

"Yaku what's got you bothered" Kuroo says as he kneels down to the team libero.

"I'm just thinking about Mai. I really like her but how do I even tell her. Confessing isn't really my strong suit" Yaku says as he rubs the back of his head.

"How about chocolates? Or maybe flowers?" Kuroo says with a smug grin "girls love flowers!"

"Tsk like you'd know Mr. Periodic Table" Kenma says non-chalantly as he walks by.

Yamamoto Taketora and Haiba Lev laugh at the rooster headed team captain as he glares at the 2nd year setter

"Are you even sure she likes short guys Yaku?" Lev laughs as the team shakes their head.

Yaku runs up to Lev kicking him straight in his back.

"Dumbass" Yamamoto shakes his head as he puts the remaining volleyballs away.

"Why don't we go check out that flower shop on the way home? What's it called like Bella's or something. It looks pretty nice" Kuroo says as he gestures to Yaku.

"Kai, you coming?" Kuroo says to his fellow third year and co-captain, Kai Nobuyuki.

"Sure I'll tag along" Kai speaks softly with a smile.

"Alright guys good practice! Remember we have practice this Saturday as well in preparation for nationals" Naoi shouts as the boys groan.

"And Kenma no skipping out. I'll have Kuroo drag you here if he has to" Naoi glares at Kenma who shakes rolls his eyes and huffs.

The boys showered and change, preparing to head to the flower shop as they wave their fellow teammates off.

Naoi boards the train heading home to his small apartment. To say things have gone to plan in his life would be an understatement. While he was doing what he loved, his love life was lacking to say the very least. He had tried numerous relationships, only to have them fail because he could never fully commit. He often found himself in a one-sided relationship where his partner would confess their love but he couldn't.

It became draining for the people he was with so he ultimately stayed single. He knew, in fact, what the problem was. The problem was that he had messed up the only relationship that mattered to him. He'd blown his chances with the only person whom he ever truly loved.

He had blown his chance with you.

When he decided to break up with you, he really thought it was for the best. He knew you had a bright future ahead of you and he couldn't help but feel like he was weighing you down. He thought it would be best to let go before it became impossible. Not that it wasn't hard to do. It broke him.

He found himself unable to date for years. You had been his first everything and you had been it. He eventually forced himself to move on. Having one night stands and short term relationships but never more. Commitment was hard when it wasn't you. He still kept the ring he had wanted to give you for your third anniversary.

Unfortunately he never got the chance to after he inevitably broke you heart. He often found himself staring at it, wondering how life would have been if he had in fact stayed with you.

By now you must be married with babies he thought to himself. It hurt to think about but he knew it would never be. You'd never be his. And he'd never be truly happy.

Asahi: escape (the pina colada song) by rupert holmes. he doesn’t understand the meaning though so he gets a pass.

Tanaka: fuck you by ceelo green. gotta respect a man that likes the classics.

Nishinoya: like a boss by the lonely island.

Ennoshita: mind over matter by anthony ramos. goodbye he is so hot. do yourself a favor and listen to this song asap it’s 0% problematic and 100% sexy.
