What's the deal with the master and cats??

I am unsure whether you mean a genuine question or you're being funny, especially because my blog is very ainley centered, but I am Autistic(tm) and so will answer literally. SO!!! 👁️👁️

The Master appeared, played by Anthony Ainley, in the last serial of Doctor Who (classic), called Survival. In this serial, there's a bunch of cat-like creatures (kitlings, they look almost identical to black cats just uhh sharper teeth I think... sometimes there's a real black cat sometimes a puppet thingy) teleporting people into a planet called "the cheetah planet". Which basically slowly turns you into a cheetah person, via a virus. The Master was trapped there and taking care of the kitlings and the rest of the cheetah people, who had been turned a while ago. He kept fighting the virus, but eventually, he turns as well, just, slowly. It kind of eats your dna and your psyche, turns you physically and has your mind want to hunt and do cat stuff I guess. (Now imagine him about to throw your glass from your table. Also yes cheetah people purr if you were wondering. Loudly.)

Also for some reasons those cheetah can howl here's a clip of him howling very camp very funny to me

Lookie he... He also pets one of the kitlings!! She's called Shadow. He's got a telepathic bond with her and can see through her eyes. Which probably means he's seen POV cat licks its butt which is also very funny to me. 😔

Dhawan as the Master later makes reference to this episode when he meets Ace and she says "last time I saw you, you were part-cat!" and he says "a man's allowed to experiment".

Besides EU stories where they're still dealing with the virus, I think that's it from canon. That is the deal with cats. However I personally think the Master is a very catlike character, if we're categorising them as dogs or cats the Doctor would be dog and the Master would be cat, in most incarnations at least 😔 The fandom seems to see this and draw the Master with cat ears. Or write him. Or they just like catboys. IT'S OKAY I LIKE CATBOYS TOO!!!! If you couldn't tell

Also also fun fact, in the eaglemoss classic Masters figurine set, in the magazine, there's an article on Ainley where the writer just keeps calling him catlike all the time 😭 from BEFORE that serial, the way he's dressed, the way he walks and moves and acts is very reminiscent of kitty. Interestingly enough he loses a bit of that when he changes outfit for Survival.

Hello, how are you?

I'd recommend The complete book of demonolatry written by S. Connolly, she explains really well about what demons are, what are they like, how to contact them, their information such as personality, enns, appearances, as well as she talks about meditation, demonic rituals, alchemy, Qliphoth, a lot of stuff, really. It's a lot of information in just 300 pages or so, but personally helped me a lot when I was beginning!

Some would say that Michael W. Ford's books complement Conolly's really well, though I don't know, I've just started reading Apotheosis. It talks a lot about Lucifer and the path of the left hand. Plus, he is quite modern too! So you can look into him as well.

Encyclopedia of demons and demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley is quite interesting too! She compiles many existing demons and their stories. It's great to get to know them!

Well, you can learn more about him in general. I have two posts here talking about his origins, but even then, I'd recommend The Apotheosis by Michael W. Ford, which is absolutely great for beginners

You could also read The Rites of Lucifer by Temple of Ascending Flame

Followed by: Awakening Lucifer by Asenath Mason & Bill Duvendack, which is a sequel of Rites of Lucifer.

You could also use tarot or other divination methods, but meditation is also really great to connect yourself more with him

And I don't know a lot about Asmodeus, as I don't work with him personally, but I would think that meditating while also chanting his enn would work too!
