Daily Hobie HC!!

Teenage Billie and Ramona (loosely based off how I acted towards my mother)

Your eyes creaked open once you felt your side of the bed dip, your head cushioned against Hobie’s shirtless chest.

Ramona stared intently at you, her eyes wide and face expressionless as she leant against your hip. Surprisingly, you had gotten use to her odd ways of waking you up.

The way she continued staring blankly until you verbally acknowledged her…Guess you couldn’t have just had two normal children, but you wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Once you said good morning, it was like a switch, as Ramona simply relaxed her gaze and smiled, wishing you a happy Mother’s Day. She scurried off, leaving you and a softly snoring Hobie for a few minutes.

You spent a few moments cuddling into him, your cheek smooshed below his collarbone and your leg hooked over his hip.

Eventually, you felt Hobie stir, his arm squeezing your middle as he murmured a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ against your hair.

After a few more bedroom break-ins from both of Hobie’s oddly crazed daughters, bonus points for the cats, you decided to finally get up. Hobie had already gotten up, abandoning you on the third break in.

You tied up your robe around your waist and walked out, picking up the black oriental shorthair, Theft, and holding her body close to your own as she purred loudly in your ear.

The black cat soon got off once she saw her brothers running up and down the houseboat, wanting to join in on the terrorizing of anything or anyone that got in their way.

Billie and Mona bounded up to you, begging to let them cook breakfast for you. You rolled your eyes fondly towards the two, raising a brow at their Hobie-identical puppy eyed. Over the years you had gotten used to it, immune, even, but it was fun to give in once in a while.

It kept them from suspecting, of course.

As both you and Hobie were escorted back into the bedroom, you had a feeling that it wasn’t going to be long until the two called you for help.

You leant your head against Hobie’s shoulder, relishing in the moment as his fingers worked along your back, relieving some tension in your muscles.

The door creaked open, both Hobie and you paused as a Billie Brown stepped in, slowly announcing that they ‘kinda need your help’.

With a laugh, you come to the kitchen and end up helping with breakfast anyways, showing both Billie and Ramona the steps so they don’t ’almost create the first asexual fetus’, in their words.

HEYYY i think you’ll be happy to know i started school !! just back in december, it’s all online (not preferred, but necessary) i can get my diploma from home, how awesome is that? i’ve had some friends use the same program and go on to actual college and stuff so it’s legit and all that, meaning i have a lot of options when it’s over, so that’s fun !

omg i think i mentioned that my brother’s wife was pregnant last time i sent an ask?? IT WAS A BOYYYY !!! Hummingbirds I think was my topped song in my wrapped list this past year and I only heard of it ~October so I probably listened to it 4 billion times. I was a top 10 listener of the artist according to apple music and I ONLY listened to that one song of his 😷 I'm a fixator to say the lease. Only thing left is based on Greek Myth so I'm trying to get my brain to work so I can write something about it, I think it would be fun!!! SHAZAM does that to me all the time. I think about that about the end credits to A Million Little Things. Always gives me a random song and it's only instrumental so I can NEVER get the song :(

I keep saying I'm good and doing well, but honestly I think I am struggling tbh. I'm a busy girl--especially this time of year. I think I'm taking care of my self a little more (pilates, not biting my nails, eating a little better) but I think I'm just tired of everything and everyone around me. My fam is pretty exhausting (oldest daughter problems). I love my bf more than anything but he's still a MAN so he's annoying sometimes and his mood rn is in the pits and I can't get him out of his funk. I think I'm struggling most because I feel like I need someone in my life who's like me. I use a lot of my energy to try and see the bright side for other people and help and do what I need to do to make life easier for everyone around me and I just don't feel I have anyone that reciprocates that way :/ Not to brush that all aside because I think you're the first person i've told this to, but really I'm doing so much better than I'm normally doing because honestly, I've decided to be the person I am for everyone else and I've just let a lot of shit go. Like I feel like I'm not worried about little things as much (quite frankly there's a buttload of BIG things to worry about these days so why am I going to freak out over the small ones?) I have decided to stop expecting people in my life to step up the way I would in the same situation and my sister has this theory that "the only high expectation she has, is that having low expectations of others won't let her down" and it's fucking SAD but bro, it's ENLIGHTENING.
