3/19/25 WIP Wednesday (CLOSED) | Math Nerd AU

Riko will be the one running the camp for the first few days without supervision. It’s a sign of trust from the Master but Riko, privately, likes to believe it’s a sign of trust from his uncle. He’s made a lot of progress in gaining his Uncle’s favor back after his mishap with Kevin a year ago. His back burns slightly as he remembers the welts that took a whole month to heal properly.

His gaze slides back to Neil Josten and Jean Moreau, two of the parts to his perfect plan. A similar momentary loss of control saw him lose Moreau to a ‘portfolio diversification’ all those years ago. Years where Moreau should have been trained to be Riko’s perfect rearguard, years that the Frenchman has wasted with the Trojan’s and their soft-hearted Coach.

Years where Moreau should have been at his and Kevin’s back, learning Raven drills and playing against meaningful opponents.

How does their family feel about them?: Her parents love her but her issues did bring a lot of discord into their relationship. Regardless, her nearest and dearest has always been her brother, Mason, and they get along very well.

Where do they live?: On the Southside with her brother

Description of their home: A small and simple apartment on the Southside with Mason.

How do they feel about their family?: Sam will protect his family until his dying breath. Growing up with next to nothing forced them to be close because all they had was each other. He adores his mother and would do anything for his sibling. Sam and his father have their ups and downs, but Sam learned his fierce loyalty from Dwight, whose loyalty to the Serpents as their former leader is what ultimately led to Sam’s initiation.

How does their family feel about them?: More than anything, Sam is considered by his family as someone they can always count on, no questions asked.

Pets: Cap, a stray German shepherd who followed Sam home one day, and it’s not like Sam could just like, leave him out there.

Where do they live? Sunnyside Trailer Park in Riverdale.

Description of their home: Just about as homey as a trailer can be. Mary Evans loves her decorations.

Description of their bedroom: Sam uses what space he has to make it as “him” as possible, pretty much covered in his own drawings and cool stickers and stuff.

Fondest Memory: Christmas at age thirteen, when he took out his guitar and his mom sang Christmas songs and nothing went wrong.

Best thing that has ever happened to this character: At this point, probably coming across Cap.

Worst thing that has ever happened to this character: His dyslexia diagnosis sent him into a pretty deep spiral for a while, severing his dreams of making something of himself to make his family proud. It kind of set the tone for his future school endeavors and what he thinks of himself and what he can accomplish.

What do they want to be when they grow up?: In an ideal world, an artist, but he’ll settle for anything he can be proud of.
