What crime he committed that lead to the resisted arrest haven't been made public so far. He did have guns on him (of course) but I don't think they knew that until after he got killed. Honestly, I think it was just paranoia.

Either way I hold no sympathy for this man. He is a traitor and a terrorist and as much as I hate the police, I'm honestly glad that they killed a man who I honestly believe deserved it this time.

To be fair, if Matthew served his time I probably would feel different about this... Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I wouldn't.

Matthew Huttle, 42, was shot by a sheriff’s deputy after allegedly resisting arrest and getting into an altercation with an officer, local news outlets in Indiana report, based on the Indiana state police’s account of the incident. Huttle was one of the more than 1,500 people pardoned by Trump for their roles in the 2021 Capitol riot on the first day of his second term in office. Republicans have tried to defend Trump's blanket pardons for violent criminals, as well as one for a notorious drug trafficker.  Over the weekend, Vice President JD Vance attempted to change the subject by blaming former Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice for convicting so many of the Jan. 6 insurrectionists, many of whom viciously attacked law enforcement officers. Trump’s Jan. 6 clemency order includes at least 170 insurrectionists accused of using deadly weapons and 10 convicted seditious conspiracy right-wing militants.

More proof that pardons to these terrorists are a bad idea: some of them won’t stop crimin’.

An Indiana man who was recently pardoned for his participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was shot and killed during a traffic stop by a sheriff's deputy Sunday. Matthew Huttle, 42, was involved in a traffic stop at 4:15 p.m. by a Jasper County sheriff’s deputy, authorities said in a news release. It alleged that Huttle resisted arrest and was found to have a firearm on him. "An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect," the release said.

An Indiana man who was pardoned by President Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot was shot dead by a deputy during a traffic stop Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

Matthew Huttle was killed in an altercation with a Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy who pulled him over on Indiana State Road 14 near the Pulaski County line and attempted to arrest the 42-year-old, state police said.

“An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect,” state police said in a news release.
