I can't find that one post that was going around about making a tf series without Bumblebee, Optimus, or Megatron but I think it could be an easy thing to do. Maybe it's cause the niche tf continuities have such a grip on me that I often forget Bee has a main character problem to begin with but there's so many characters that are considered "Japan only" or comic only that we have an entire cast and then some of characters that a lot of people have never heard about.

Anyway, my idea for a show without using those three involves also getting rid of a lot of the "main" characters too like Soundwave, Prowl, Arcee, Grimlock, pretty much anyone easily recognizable to people who only watch American tf shows/movies.

Cast: Autobots

Yellow Splendid Convoy (or just Yellow Convoy, Splendid Convoy, Splendid, or SC) is fresh out of training and ready to make her mark on Autobot history by protecting peace throughout the galaxy. Unfortunately her crew's ship crashes and they get stranded on Earth, a planet of many autobots learn about from history of the war. She is very kind and courageous and tries to live up to the legend of the Primes before her time, which can be pretty stressful at times.

Nautica is the ship's tech specialist and scientist. She's often working on a new invention or found doing maintenance on the ship. She has a natural curiosity for everything around her and can often help brighten her teammate's day by trying to help them look on the bright side. She does struggle a bit with self confidence in areas that do not pertain to science though, and has trouble reading social cues.

Ambulon is the ship's old and somewhat grumpy medic. He used to be a Decepticon but defected mid war after watching the atrocious his fellow cons were ok with committing on civilians. He and Nautica have what Earthlings would call a sibling like relationship as the two are close, but she often teases him to his dismay. Being a veteran medic from the war his teammates hold a lot of respect for him and Splendid likes to hear him talk about the days of old.

Lander is the ship's sharp shooter and self identified "ladies man and mans man". He often flirts with people of all genders no matter where they go. He even flirts with sapient organic races, which some older set-in-their-ways bots might consider scandalous. Despite his carefree attitude and jokes he's quite the warrior! He's got amazing blaster skills and can hit a mosquitobot from a mile away! Ambulon finds him obnoxious most of the time. He is third in command.

Holi is the ships scout. Cute, tiny, and fast, he can quickly find places that are good for hiding or good vantage points. He tries to come off as serious and more mature so his teammates will take him seriously, but it rarely works. He has a girlfriend back on Cybertron, which Lander often teases him about. He has a bad habit of letting Lander talk him into doing stupid things with him.

Roadmaster is the teams powerhouse. When they need something big and heavy moved then she's the girl! She's a bit quiet at times as she's unsure if her input would be appreciated, but if asked she's more than happy to give advice. She's a gentle soul that enjoys long drives through nature, and most people find her easy to get along with, but if you make her mad (like hurting her friends) then she very well could rip you in half. She seems to want to get closer to Nautica but is a bit timid around her.

Delta Magnus is an intelligence officer that volunteered to come along on Splendid's journey to record data. He may be a talkative nerd at heart that's a stickler for the rules but rest assured, he can hold his own in battle. With a might that could rival some legends of old, he's a fierce opponent for any Decepticon. He's often found taking notes and overusing the word "glorious". He is second in command

Cast: Decepticons

Despite being a Decepticon, Esmeral is fair and willing to negotiate with anyone that isn't an Autobot. The Empress of Destruction holds a deep grudge against all Autobots for taking her husband from her, and has vowed to wipe them from face of the galaxy. Still, even with a rage burning brighter than the sun she treats her subordinate fairly, especially Lyzack, her second in command. She is also very doting mother! She is currently in ruthless pursuit of Yellow Splendid Convoy's ship.

Lyzack lost her twin brother Leozack thanks to Autobots. Lost as in she literally has no idea where he is. She isn't even sure if he's alive or dead, so she's searching far and wide for any sign of him. She acts mostly as a scout and medic for the Decepticons but she secretly yearns to be able to hold her own on the battlefield by herself like her idol and leader Esmeral, so she's secretly training to fight all by herself.

Solon is Esmeral's adopted human son. Before he was taken out by Autobots, Deathsaurus brought home a human baby and he and Esmeral officially adopted the boy. Solon is now 14 and he holds the same kind of grudge his mother does against the Autobots for taking his father away from him. He is often looked after by Lyzack when Esmeral can't tend to him and he trusts her and considers her to be like a big sister to him. He's never actually been to Earth so he's excited to finally visit the planet he came from and meet more humans.

Overlord isn't the most welcome guy amongst even the most ruthless of Decepticons, but Esmeral knows he's good at exterminating Autobots beyond repair, so she grits her teeth and deals with him. She at least knows her position as leader is safe from him since he "has no interest in leading, only destruction". He's also a warrior from later on in the war so she values that kind of experience. He absolutely loathes Delta Magnus, finding him annoying, and often targets him in fights. Shockingly enough, he actually likes Esmeral's son Solon, and often tries to mentor the boy in the ways of the Decepticons.

Sixshot. Sharp shooter. Intelligence agent. Mercenary. Bot of few words (unless he likes you). Sixshot is a mystery to even most of his comrades, but he gets the job done. He always gets the job done. His temper is something most Decepticons fear and they have nightmares of finding themselves staring down the end of his blaster. He seems to have a soft side though, one that's usually only seen towards Lyzack, Solon, and surprisingly enough, Nautica! He also seems to have a deep warriors respect for Roadmaster.

Double-Dealer is such a good spy, that you have to wonder whose side he's really on. He's cunning, intelligent, and a smooth talker. He can easily manipulate people around him into trusting him. He's currently eyeing Esmeral's position as leader, but he tries to make sure she's none the wiser of his schemes. He's also rumored to be older than he looks, and is said to have not only fought in the war, but to even fallen in love with an Autobot during that time! He considers Lander to be his greatest enemy.

Road Pig is kind of dumb, which makes him easy to manipulate and push around. He's usually going along with whatever scheme Double-Dealer has hatched. Lyzack takes pity on the guy a lot, knowing it's not easy being a Con of such standing. He enjoys taking Solon on joy rides for the two to cause trouble on.

Cast: Predacons

Magmatron is a multi-beast-changer that leads the Predacons in their quest to conquer the galaxy. He is well versed in the ways of the Decepticons but also notes their failures. This led him to make his team of Predacons "follow in the footsteps of the Decepticons. But Better." And better he can be. He's a power house that isn't injured easily, and being able to split into 3 different dinosaurs helps him have an evasiveness advantage. He's surprisingly rather relaxed about his ship rules, allowing the Predacons to do whatever they want most of the time. Though any that try to rise against him are quickly struck down. It's rumored that he had another team of Predacons once, but they all left him for a currently unknown reason.

Budora is second in command in Megmatron's team. He is a stern, serious soldier trained in many fighting styles. He's also easily envious, and longs for power and leadership over all Predacons. Despite this he works under a code of honor and never uses underhanded tricks in a fight. In dragon mode he breaths fire.

Judora is often underestimated by his opponents because of his prim and proper attitude, but make no mistake, he is still a very dangerous Predacon. While he prefers not to escalate things to brutish force he can still be a fierce opponent in a fight. He's as quick on his feet as he is with his wit. He prefers more intellectual and sophisticated things in life. In dragon mode he breaths a poison mist. He is very close to Gaidora.

Gaidora has tremendous physical strength. He may not be smartest Predacon in the group but he's still able to catch onto things going on behind the scenes rather quickly. He's rather quiet and reserved most of the time, and is often going along with whatever Judora is doing. He is fascinated by Earth ants. In dragon mode he breaths lightening. He and Judora are very close.

Bakudora is the youngest of the dragons. He's fast but he's also arrogant and brash, which is often his undoing. He gets easily excited for a fight and goads his opponents on. Upon meeting the Decepticons he and Solon become become friends despite the Predacon-Decepticon rivalry. In dragon mode he breaths ice.

Cast: Others

Anode is an explorer and treasure hunter that came to Earth a couple years ago to explore it with her wife. The two are traveling the planet in search of treasure and having a lot of fun meeting the locals. She's also a bit of a prankster, and upon meeting Splendid's group the first thing she does is play a joke on Ambulon, much to his dismay.

Lug is Anode's wife and travel companion. She's also adventurous at heart but takes more care on the paths they tread. She really has a thing for rocks, being a geologist, and is excited to make an expansive list of all the rocks and gems she finds on Earth. She's actually made it her mission to find and observe every type of rock on Earth. She turns into a backpack so she's often hanging onto her wife's back with whatever loot they've found.

Sky-Byte is an ex-merc for hire that used to run with both Predacons and Decepticons. Now he's a defector for both, wanting nothing to do with either faction. He's instead found his true callings in life, poetry and sea conservation. He works with some local human scientists to preserve the ocean and the wildlife within it. He also utilizes his shark altmode to scare away poachers that try to fish for endangered species. He's often wary of Autobots and Maximals and tries to avoid Decepticons and Predacons completely.

Lio Jr. is a young Maximal that ran off on his own after his father refused to bare responsibility for him. With Lio Convy often denying he was his son, Lio Jr. had enough and decided to head out on his own quest to help as many people as possible to become a great leader. His travels led him to Earth a couple of years ago, where he's been helping humans ever since. He won't talk about his father often, but he secretly yearns for his praise and wants to prove to his father that he can be a good leader like him someday. Once Splendid's crew arrives on Earth Lio Jr. becomes fast friends with Holi and Nautica. Lio Jr. and Sky-Byte are also good friends, with the shark often looking after and mentoring the young maximal.

ffxiv villains

Nael Van Darnus is the english localization team's greatest adversary apparently the unhinged garlean legatus responsible for slam dunking the moon into the ground. she's a big fan of bahamut, sephiroth, and majora's mask, among other things, you see, and decided to incorporate her interests into her work. she dies but doesnt.

Gaius "such devastation" Baelsar is a verbose fantasy nazi who's favorite color is social darwinism. he dies but doesnt, after getting epically pranked by a kingdom hearts cosplayer. later, his many adopted lizard children die. this all causes him to suddenly realize that fascism is not very poggers. it's all very cool and makes sense, you see. gaius "garlean man's burden" baelsar was already slightly less racist than his peers anyway so he's basically a hero.

Nero's not a villain, he's just based.

Nidhogg was totally valid actually, but he needed to speak to a dragon grief counselor or something.

Zenos is megatron but sad is a sadistic bishonen who based his whole personality on "the most dangerous game." he's a twisted fuckin cycle path, less a person and more a weapon for the emperor to wield (at least until late stormblood). he's mostly just doing what he was born and raised to do, yeah, but it's not like that makes it fine. he dies but doesn't, as overstaying one's welcome simply runs in his family. he then spends most of his time in early endwalker trying to invite the wol to a nice, romantic, candlelit fistfight in the wendy's parking lot, by pissing on the moon (of course). that, and doing a whole lot of napping, apparently (way to beat the boring allegations, zenos). he helped cause the apocalypse because he's depressed (and very, very battle horny), but it's not like depression makes it all fine.

Emet-Selch is the ceo of fascism, and was a funny and extremely likeable villain who stole the show everytime he showed up, until he wasnt. he stalled in the grieving process and decided to make that everyone else's problem by comitting mass genocide (he kins nidhogg you see) across multiple worlds for thousands of years in an attempt to bring his people back. but he's depressed (about his own ppl, he didnt seem to feel too bad about the everything else), so it's fine. genocide is his coping mechanism you see (very relatable). he dies but still has a ton of screentime and importance even after death because overstaying one's welcome simply runs in his family.

Elidibus more like elidibitch, ayo! was the convocation's little pogchamp who was sacrificed to become zodiark's heart, instead of any of the older members of the convocation who could have made that sacrifice (no, no, by all means, let the lil guy do it). he keeps desperately fighting for reasons he doesnt even know anymore, all while donning his best ff1 warrior of light cosplay (you're doing great, sweetie!). he can also apparently help you travel back in time, even though that's not how that worked when they sent the crystal tower through time initially but yeah okay sure (i kinda already did the twinning broski, cid's funky time robot is gone, how are you doing any of this? dont answer that).

lol Valens 🥛🐄💪

Fandaniel is become zodiark amon hermes a mentally ill funky little jester who is fought three goddamn times, one of those times being in the afterlife after you've already killed him once. one might assume that he may be related in some way to emet and his family based on how he, too, overstays his welcome. but no, he's just one of emet's annoying coworkers. yet another twisted fuckin cycle path, he helped cause the apocalypse (twice technically), but he was depressed, so it's fine. one of two characters whose existence slightly detracts from the whole hope vs despair theme of endwalker (imo).

Meteion is Necron a sad space bird, there to act as an homage to other final fantasy games that also have some random last minute bullshit as the final boss, not acknowledging of course that that is usually one of the worst parts of all the games that do that (i like ff4 but zeromus mcpalpatine-reference is lame). she's trying to destroy all life, yes, but she's mostly just doing what she was born and raised to do, so it's fine. she's also there to connect to the hope vs despair theme, but that is slightly undercut by the player charitably helping a violently mentally ill man die his preferred death (but like in a fun way) right after the big hope overcomes despair moment.

Touches Ask Game

Okie doke, this took me a while because life stuff kept distracting me and I just couldn't get my brain to cooperate, but I think I've got something here.

Just a small thing, word count capping at 887

Bandaging/Stitching up an injury

“I’ll have him hauling the entire ship out of the ocean for this.”

“Leave the kid alone. Accidents happen, you should know this.”

Ratchet sat on a table in the Decepticon medbay with Megatron kneeling in front of him. While Ratchet was busy patching up his right arm, Megatron was fumbling around with the medic’s legs under his direction. The first session of Thundercracker’s dance lessons could definitely have gone better. When the blue seeker said he was lousy on his feet, he meant it. For some reason, he had no problem when it came to battle or running. But when it came time to perform even simple maneuvers, he tripped over himself. More than once. He just didn’t seem to have a good idea of how big his legs were and where they were in relation to everything else. That or he was overthinking it. But he was determined.

However, his determination didn’t keep him from slamming into Ratchet with his last trip up, sending them both to the ground with the seeker pinning the medic underneath him. Thundercracker panicked upon seeing what condition he’d put Ratchet in, and it didn’t help that Ratchet had shouted at him a bit. The flight frame hurriedly yet cautiously picked him up and rushed him to the medbay. Unfortunately, Hook was out with the other Constructicons on a supplies run and Soundwave was who-knew-where. So it was just the two of them, Ratchet giving Thundercracker instructions like he was doing for Megatron now. Speaking of, the reason why the leader was here and the seeker wasn’t any longer was because Megatron had been told of Ratchet’s whereabouts and promptly sought him out. When he arrived, he barked for Thundercracker to leave and seek out Starscream for duty assignments.

And so here they were.

“Why were you even giving him dancing instruction?” Megatron queried with a curled upper lip.

Ratchet paused the soldering work on his arm to give it a look over. “He asked me to,” he replied. “For reasons of his own, he wanted to learn. It’s not a bad hobby to pick up.”

The grey warlord snorted with scathing disbelief. “Yes, flailing your limbs stupidly has all sorts of uses. Like making you look like a fool, and putting unsuspecting medics in the infirmary.”

The medic rolled his optics and resumed patching his arm. “It helps to teach the performer coordination. If he learns how not to stumble on his feet, how to be graceful on the ground like he is in the air, then he’ll be even more valuable as a warrior.” Not that he needed warriors now that the Autobots and Decepticons were finally trying to sort out their differences and come to an accord.

But it seemed to get the point across effectively. Megatron hummed as he thought over what his lover had said. “I suppose what you say holds some merit,” he relented. He made a sort of jerking movement with one of Ratchet’s legs, which startled the Autobot as he felt something pop.

“Would you give me some warning next time, you big oaf?!” Ratchet snapped, holding out the soldering iron for him to see. “I’m working on some delicate stuff here, and can’t have you yanking me around suddenly!” He paused and looked down at the leg Megatron had jerked. He could feel it again. “What did you do?”

Megatron looked up at him with a smirk. “This ‘big oaf’ has picked up a medical trick or two throughout the years, tiny party bus.”

Ratchet tested his ankle by rolling the joint, then shifted his leg’s position so he could stretch it out without kicking the bot in front of him. No sharp pains. Some aches where his plating was dented, definitely, but for the most part everything felt about as right as it should have been. He stared at his leg for a quiet moment before slowly lowering it, looking amazed. “Huh… You’re going to have to show me that trick.”

“Of course. But before that…” Megatron paused as he got to his feet, then had a seat beside Ratchet’s right side and took hold of his injured arm. “Let’s get it so that you can use both of your arms.”

The old medic stiffened slightly as their shoulders touched and his arm was grasped, then made himself relax. He caught Megatron turning his head a little to look at his face, but Ratchet kept his gaze down on his arm. “I can get this done myself. You’ll just do more damage than good,” he muttered.

“I may not be a professional medic, Ratchet, but that does not mean I am ignorant and unable to learn.” Megatron then reached toward the hand that held the soldering iron and let his own envelop Ratchet’s, helping the medibot hold the tool steadier. “Guide me,” he said.

Having his hand held like this sent a rough wave of emotions crashing around in Ratchet’s mind. “Stubborn mule,” he muttered to cover up the embarrassment he felt of still not being used to these feelings he had for the Decepticon leader. “Fine. You better not mess me up.”

“Less talk, more repairing.”

A faint smirk lifted at the corner of Ratchet’s lips and the two resumed getting him patched up.

Pros and Cons of all the TF shows I watched [updated: Unicron Trilogy and BW Neo]

Update info: Whyever the hell I wrote this and why people care about my opinion is beyond my current understanding, but @chaoticgirl23 asked for the Unicron Trilogy I hadn't watched back then, so- Also decided to write down if I actually like the show or not xD

(also I removed wfc, because I cant really judge after all with the show not being finished) My personal opinions + stuff that can be dubbed controversial and problematic, so beware for racism and sexism! But also beware of my idiotic attempts at humour

G1 (loved the show with all my heart)

Pros:

- The original show

- big cast of loveable characters

- Really awesome human side characters

- Very clever and witty dialogue

- fucking batshit insane

- Rodimus Prime is babe

Cons:

- apart from Arcee, female autobots being treated like a subspecies and only appearing in like one episode (3 if you are generous)

- Motherfucking country called “Carbombya”

- Some human characters are actually shit (those boys from B.O.T)

- Rodimus fucks as a human and not as a robot

- Everything animated by AKOM

- Galvatron’s portrayal as a person with brain-damage reads as ableistic (Personally I still love his G1 version more than the others I’ve seen)

- The “You’re only truly disabled if you lose your courage” line from Chip, it was explained to me that it’s ableistic as well

Headmasters (loved the show)

Pros:

- exciting plot

- characters die, fuck yeah

- Planets get destroyed, fuck yeah

- <3 ~ Power of Friendship ~ <3

- Sixshot is babe

Cons:

- Everything about Cyclonus and Wheelie

- Rodimus fucks off after episode 10 and never comes back

- Arcee going from warrior to secretary

- If you come from IDW I have to break it to you that Chromedome is straight

SuperGod Masterforce (loved the show with all my heart)

Pros:

- A darker and more serious storyline if you’re into that

- Lots of character arcs and well-written characters in general

- Decepticons having a more family like dynamic

- Decepticons with a level of depth to them

- Redemption much

- Ginrai is babe

Cons:

- This show’s focus is on the humans so if you don’t like human TF characters, this aint for you

- The character Cab has a level of racist stereotyping - he comes from a fictional country in Oceania called Karin and the depiction of that country is everyone living in wood homes and having no electricity. (The show plays in the future so that makes it worse) Cab himself gets introduced as a Tarzan kinda dude who can talk with animals.

While I found Cab himself not bad as a character, the problem with how his background is written sure is stupid and insulting. There isn’t a lot of focus on his country in the show however, but it’s still there

- There is a scene in which the boys Shuta and Cab spy on girls during swim class (they get called out and apologize for it though and the “fanservice” scene itself is really damn modest and tame)

Victory (loved the show)

Pros:

- Similiar fun tone as G1

- lovable cast of idiots

- Exciting episode plots

- Leozack is babe

Cons:

- The only two prominent female characters are love interests and nothing else (which is drop in quality when compared to Masterforce, which had Minerva as a fleshed out autobot with agency and Mega as an interesting female villain)

- Leozack never punches Deszaras in the face

- Fucking retcons the destruction of Mars in Headmasters

Beast Wars (loved with all my heart)

Pros:

- Really compelling story and characters!!!

- Well written dialogue

- Wonderful character animation

- Dinobot is HONOUR and babe. Also I’m crying

- Megatron and his bullshit

Cons:

- Megatron and his bullshit

- That stupid love triangle subplot in season 3

- Some major plotline not being fully developed (the Vok plotline)

Beast Wars II (liked the show)

Pros:

- The Predacons in general

- Lio Convoy (the Optimus of the show) having a son

- Galvatron is babe and so is Starscream

Cons:

- Maximals are lame apart from Lio Convoy and the arc with his son Lio Junior

- A lot of uninteresting characters an episodes

- The Jointrons as racist mexican stereotypes

- Only female robot is part of a love triangle (even more annoying than the love triangle in Beast Wars)

Beast Wars Neo (liked the show)

Pros:

- Big Convoy being a lone wolf turned teacher was a really sweet story to follow <3 How he and his team learnt to trust each other over the course of the show was really nice!

- Unicron in this show was a delight

- D-Navi was always fun

- Magmatron was a rather nice Decepticon leader

- Heinrad is babe

Cons:

- No girls (Boo!)

Beast Machines (very conflicted, tend to dislike)

Pros:

- Plays entirely on Cybertron

- Explores themes of technology and organic life forms and really tries to be something different and deep

- The last episode is really nice

- Jetstorm is babe

Cons:

- No fun allowed - the maximals are really frustrating because we only ever see them being angry and fighting and a lot of them only show us their worst sides

- The maximal character models are HIDEOUS

- You may not actually like the philosophical aspect of the show, especially when you think too long about it and realise it’s kinda shit

Robots in Disguise 2001/ Car Robots (liked the show)

Pros:

- New continuity! New story, new take!

- Funny and lighthearted

- Cute characters

- Sky-Byte/Gel-Shark is babe

- Ultra Magnus/God Magnus is a fucking jerk and I love it

Cons:

- Sideburn/Speedbreaker’s gag about loving red sport cars and chasing after them - it’s played as a joke all the time but I can see that stuff making people uncomfortable when they see the female driver trying to get away from him and his catcalling (Apart from that I do like him a lot though)

Armada/Micron Densetsu (disliked the show)

Pros:

- Lots of feels between Megatron and Optimus

- Starscream's arc

- The ending arc

- Jetfire was babe

Cons:

- The pacing was unbearable

- Half the time the characters didn't act like people and I was confused about almost every conflict, action and point they made. It's not a great story when I watch episode and need an hour to figure what the hell the story even was

- The parts I liked in concept are not helped by how unnatural and weird the characters acted at times. I liked the ending, but how they got there was so weird that I just can't enjoy it

Energon/Superlink (loved the show)

Pros:

- Megatron/Galvatron - Everything about him

- The japanese voice acting was fantastic!

- Really nice death scenes (I love death scenes btw)

- Mirage/Shockfleet being in love with Megatron

- Bringing back old names apart from Megatron and Optimus

- Rodimus being an equal to Optimus was a nice touch

- The few scenes it was 2D animated

- Jetfire/Skyfire is babe

Cons:

- Animation

- The "for the toys" thing kinda ruined some characters, where instead of getting the toys as completely new characters, they killed old ones and brought them back with a new model. It did suck story-telling wise (and me, loving death scenes, get annoyed when a death scene gets ruined by bringing the character back). So you got all these character arcs that feel like the just stopped

Cybertron/Galaxy Force (loved the show with all my heart)

Pros:

- Love the setting and world with all the different colonies and how they were explored ~

- Optimus Prime, this one is my favourite version of him!

- Vector Prime, they should bring him back

- All the different leaders

- The friendship between the characters- this show has my favourite set of Autobots from all TF media

- This also has my favourite Mega&Star dynamic

- Starscream himself is so well done here!

- Jetfire/Dreadlock was babe

Cons:

- Megatron was lacklustre. When it came to him and his dynamics with other characters (apart from Starscream), he was hardly written as a person with feelings. He never reacts to anything happening within the ranks of Decepticons and it is really disappointing, because there was a lot of potential! (with Flame Convoy and Chromia specifically)

Animated (loved the show)

Pros:

- Character writing, plot and themes!

- Lighthearted tone but enough scenes that dig a little deeper

- Really nice and smooth animation

- Optimus is baby

- The chins

- No 4th season

Prime (loved the show)

Pros:

- Best friggin fight scenes and animation in general

- Really exciting plot

- Ratchet is babe

- Predacon Rising exists

- Characters dying for budget reasons (Just don’t hire celebrities when you cannot pay them for more?)

Robots in Disguise 2015 (it's okay)

Pros:

- ...the Stunticons are babe

Cons:

- characters never developing and learning the same shit over and over again

- almost no interesting villains

- even the interesting ones being shoved aside a lot

- no real built-up for the climax

- lots of filler and not enough time spent on the actual plot of a corrupt Cybertron goverment

Prime Wars Trilogy (loved the show with all my heart)

Pros:

- Megatron, everything about him, he’s babe

- I really like the soundtrack

Cons:

- Bad storytelling, both narrative and visual

- Horrible or mediocre voice acting

- Static and bad facial expressions

- Static and bad character animation

- Feels like no one involved in the production had any idea how to tell a story

Cyberverse (meh)

Pros:

- Really cute as fuck

- Big cast

- Astrotrain is babe

Cons:

- No time for character arcs, they just jump from set up to conclusion with nothing in-between

- Unfocused plot that jumps from one idea to another

- Megatron broke my heart and I hate him

Y/N was a young beautiful femme that was an Autobot warrior. She was a member of The Bee Team. Before she arrivied in planet Earth, she was fought along in the civil war that Megatron caused. She fought by Optimus' side and always protected him. She knew him ever since they both were sparklings.

Bumblebee or just Bee was obivously the leader of the team. He once looked completely different, but then he started to look cooler and powerful. Don't get it wrong. He was a cute scout that couldn't speak but only let out sounds. Optimus was even a mentor of Bumblebee so the scout learned a lot from him. Optimus was a very smart Prime. He knew strong and smart words.

Anyway, when Bee killed Megatron, Optimus made Bumblebee warrior before he went on a journey with Wheeljack to retrieve the AllSpark, the source of Cybertronian life only to return to a planet attacked by Unicron and his minions, though Optimus was able to defeat the chaos bringer once and for all by trapping him, the AllSpark and the Matrix...

Y/N missed Optimus a lot. I mean, who doesn't? He was a strong and smart leader. He'll do anything to protect the ones he loved. Especially Y/N. She missed the Prime already when she didn't see him anymore when he flew off with Wheeljack. She was even in love with him! But what she didn't know was that the Prime was deeply in love with her. He admired her beauty and personlity.

Y/N joined The Bee Team and Bumblebee was of course the leader. There were new Autobots too. There were: Sideswipe, Strongarm, Grimlock, Drift, Slipstream, Jetstorm and Fixit. Let me tell you a bit about them.

Sideswipe was the rebellious "bad boy" of the Bee Team who transforms into a red street racing-ready sports car and also forms the left arm of Ultra Bee. Sideswipe was first seen playing around at Kaon Plaza before being apprehended by Strongarm.

Strongarm was a cadet in the Cybertronian Elite Guard and Bumblebee's subordinate who transforms into a blue and white police-modified pickup truck and also forms the right arm of Ultra Bee. She often worries about abiding by the law and following protocol which in certain cases jeopardizes the mission.

Grimlock was a Dinobot serving as the team's muscle who transforms into a mechanical and also forms the legs of Ultra Bee, much to his disappointment. Originally being recruited as a Decepticon for committing , he ended up imprisoned on the Alchemor, he later becomes an Autobot after gaining the team's trust, and eventually gains Autobot symbols in place of his Decepticon logos following "True Colors".

Drift was formerly a Decepticon known as Deadlock, Drift is an Autobot who transforms into an orange samurai-like car resembling a cross between a Bugatti Veyron and a Gumpert Apollo and also forms the sword of Ultra Bee. In "Hunting Season", he came to Earth to collect the bounty placed on Bumblebee. He later joins the team to study under Bumblebee in "One of Our Mini-Cons is Missing".

Slipstream and Jetstorm were Drift's Mini-Con students who can both transform into vehicles that can attach themselves onto Drift's wrists. Both of them were originally ex-criminals that were the students of Shadow Raker before being taken in by Drift.

Fixit was a hyperactive yet faulty-wired who originally served as the steward and guard of the Alchemor and later serves as the Autobots' caretaker and medic. He also provides the identification of the escaped Decepticons and reports their location.

So as you can see, there were some of them that were special. There's a Dinobot in the team, an Autobot that was once a Decepticon, etc.

Y/N liked almost all of them, even though some of them were aftholes and jerks.

But did you know that there was also a team named All-Stars? There are Autobots that you were pretty familiar with. There were: Optimus Prime, Jazz, Windblade, Ratchet, Undertone and Bulkhead.

Optimus Prime was originally thought to have died after the events of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising , he was resurrected by the Primes of the past to help stop their rogue brother Megatronus, whose evil would result in the destruction of both Earth and Cybertron.

Jazz was a friend of Bumblebee and Sideswipe's idol who transforms into a race car. In "Can You Dig It?", he came to Earth after receiving the distress signal from the Alchemor after it crashed and was sent there by the Autobot High Council.

Windblade was a charming yet somewhat arrogant female Autobot who transforms into a red and black VTOL jet, making her the only Autobot in the series with a vehicle form capable of flight.

Ratchet was a grumpy veteran Autobot medic and a long-time friend of Optimus Prime who transforms into a white and red ambulance resembling a Ford E-350. He was sent by the new Autobot High Council to hunt down the war criminals where he encounters Bumblebee's group in "Decepticon Island, Pt. 1".

Undertone was a silent Mini-Con partnered with Ratchet who transforms into a buzzsaw vehicle in the show. In the toyline, he is a Cyclone Mini-Con who turns into a sphere.

Bulkhead was an Autobot Wrecker and one of Bumblebee's old teammates who transforms into a green SUV resembling a Lamborghini LM002.

It was of course nice and fun to see the familiar Autobots back from the past. But it looks like some of them decided to start a different chapter in their lives. Like for exaplemples: The team wasn't called Team Prime anymore ever since Optimus left with Wheeljack on their journey to complete an important mission. Bumblebee made his own group called The Bee Team and Y/N decided to join him. Bee was secretly happy that one of his friends decided to join him, even though he had new teammates and was the leader. Good that he learned how to have good leadership from Optimus. It was strange in the beginning to get separated from your old teammates when you were in Team Prime at the time. It was especially weird for Bee and Y/N. Bee missed his human friend Raf. He was the only one that could understand him when he lost his voicebox at the time. Y/N was in fact Smokescreen's best friend. Even though he was rookie, he was fun and funny. They only saw each other as siblings and nothing more, which it made Optimus secretly happy. Sadly, Smokescreen didn't appear anymore when the Team Prime separated and it made Y/N sad. She had to be strong and move on to protect Earth and humans.

There were of course other Autobots but you can check it out for yourself.

Anyway, Y/N was now with Drift in the Energon Mine. Fixit picked up a signal that there was Energon and he needed it for projects that he was working on. Bee commanded Y/N and Drift go together.

"Do you see any Energon?" Y/N asked while walking next to him.

"No," Drift said.

They continued to walk, looking for Energon. After almost an hour passed by, Drift found it and it made Y/N happy. They transformed into their vehicles forms and drove back to the base. Y/N was a fast F/C Lamborghini. Y/N remembered when she was on a mission with others, Optimus would lead when all of them were in their vehicles forms. It was Team Prime at the time. Agent Fowler was in Optimus' truck, honking at an old white car infront of Optimus. Y/N, Bee and Bulkhead were following Optimus. It was good old times, but sadly, good times had to end.

When Y/N and Drift arrived in the base, they both transformed. Denny and Russel came up to them. Oh yeah, did I ever told you that Denny and Russel know about Autobots existince? Luckily, they decided to keep it a secret.

"Did you get the Energon?" Russel asked.

Drift and Y/N nodded together and Drift pulled the Energon out. "Here." He then gave the Energon to Russel.

Russel smiled. "Thanks!" He then ran off to Fixit and Denny followed.

Russel was Denny's son by the way.

Bee walked up to Drift and Y/N with a smile. "Good job both of you. You may leave now." He then walked off.

Drift nodded at Y/N as a goodbye and left. He went probably to deal with his students that can be troublemakers.

Y/N then went to her berthroom. Once she entered, she closed the door behind her. She felt sad. She missed her leader. Her Prime. She hoped for a long time that he would return. She even had a pic frame of herself and Optimus on top of her nightstand. Once she looked at the pic frame, she felt tears build up in her beautiful E/C optics. "Where are you?"

Then, out of nowhere, she felt a servo on her shoulderplate. Thinking that it was Bee, she responded: "What is it, Bee?" She didn't turned around to see.

Then there was the familiar chuckle. "I'm not Bee."

That caught Y/N's attention and she turned around to see... Optimus Prime himself! She was so shocked. "O-Optimus..." She was lost.

Optimus showed his usual gentle soft smile. "Hello, Y/N."

Y/N's tears rolled down and tackled Optimus in a hug. The Prime chuckled and hugged her back close. He missed her a lot.

Y/N couldn't hold herself. She grabbed Optimus' face plate and smashed her dermas against his. She was kissing him roughly and with passion. She could feel that the Prime was shocked but kissed her back. They were kissing roughly and deep passion, because they missed each other a lot. Finally they can be together again.

TF: Toku - The Weirdest Day

When Orion is kidnapped by the Decepticons- he expects the worst. Instead, he gets the strangest.

THE WEIRDEST DAY A short story from Transformers: Toku

Orion had seen miracles. He had spoken with the first Primes, touched technology so ancient as to be magic, stood before the light of Vector Sigma. He had experienced things so unique he doubted any being save for Ariel and Dion would believe him if he told them, about Predacon Kings and leaping across the surface of Luna One as no-one had in decades.

So it was no small feat that this?

This took the oilcake for the weirdest day of his life.

By far.

First had come fear. The Seekers who had taken him must have been laying in wait, hidden in the ruins he'd been spending the past week exploring, and they'd struck when he was alone- guard down, distracted, Ariel would've admonished him but no one was ever prepared for a streak of blue and a streak of purple to hit them simultaneously. They’d dropped out of nowhere and yanked him up off his feet and into the air so fast the wind had been knocked from his vents. Even with all the practice he’d been getting flying in the armor lately, the whole world had flipped upside-down and a mix of disorientation and surprise left him flailing uselessly.

The Seekers (dangling by his ankles from their hands, it was easy enough to recognize them- Starscream’s lieutenants, Thundercracker and Skywarp, and he thought about the fights they’d had with them. About their powers- to stun and to teleport and, wait, to teleport!?) were saying something that he honestly couldn’t focus on, spark going so fast he was hearing static and watched helplessly as a smattering of purple sparks flickered across Skywarp’s armor- and then Thundercracker’s, and his- and-

Oh. Teleporting like this sucked.

At least he was spared the indignity of screaming by the fact that he had to keep his mouth pressed shut to avoid purging his tanks when all momentum and gravity twisted and vanished and then came back in a godawful rush. Suddenly, he understood why Ariel had hated fighting this guy so damn much. He hit a purple, metal floor and struggled for air as he pushed himself to sit up, realizing that his vents were steaming in cold, cold air.

Skywarp collapsed into a heap next to him, and it all came together quite terribly.

The teleporter’s sudden exhaustion (Skywarp moaned pitifully as Thundercracker tried to pull him back upright with a curse), the sudden piercing cold- he looked up at a sky pale with clouds and rippling with electromagnetic bands of color, and found snow drifting down through the fog of his breaths. It hadn’t been the cold season, in the Iaconian territories. Not for a while, yet.

“Kaon.” He breathed, finally managing to swallow half-digested bile. Kaon, seat of the Decepticon empire, situated in Cybertron’s arctic circle. Skywarp had just teleported him a quarter of the way across the planet without using a groundbridge.

He turned to look at the Seekers again, and found himself face to face with a charging cannon.

A quarter of the way across the planet, directly to the Decepticon stronghold, by the looks of things. Mostly, now, he was focused on the glow of the cannon in his face, and then up to the huge violet mechanism it was attached to. “Rise.” Shockwave ordered in a wheezing growl.

Orion had been Optimus Prime. Primus-appointed warrior, a myth of power and nobility, he had fought dozens of Decepticons, Insecticons, Predacons, he had fought Shockwave to a standstill and assisted in even more battles. Optimus Prime would have said something defiant, noble, something to show that the mechanism was incapable of fear.

“‘Kay.” Orion squeaked, getting to his feet, clutching at his own arms as a cold wind picked up, suddenly wishing he’d at least bought along insulated armor. He’d seen images of this place, albeit from outside, studied possible defenses in the event that they ever found a weakness in this fortress. Like he hadn’t agreed with Ariel and Dion that an assault on the Decepticon stronghold would have been suicidal. Still, he recognized the jagged shapes of the towers, the high, reinforced walls, and his spark sank with the thought that no-one was reasonably going to come for him.

Shockwave prodded him, and he walked mechanically, past the Seekers (Thundercracker now having given up and just poking the snoring Skywarp with his foot over and over) under Shockwave’s directions and into a set of huge, carved doors.

Orion felt spectacularly small, in the huge, empty halls. At least it was warmer inside, but the walk was just slow enough to make anxiety creep in and knot in his gut, and just fast enough that keeping pace in front of Shockwave’s long steps was uncomfortable. He expected to be guided to some sort of holding cell, a brig, his processor conjuring up images of torture chambers and gallows for execution, between half-formed thoughts of how did they find out? How did they know? Are they going after Ariel too? Are they going after Dion? Where did we slip up?

And he thought about the communicator in his subspace.

If they left him alone for a moment, maybe he’d have time to get a message out before they noticed, warn them, somehow-

He was not taken to a cell. Or a small dark room. The throne room was, somehow, bigger than it looked on Decepticon broadcasts, and on the broadcasts it had looked enormous. It wasn’t...opulent, no, but something about the sheer size of the arched ceiling, the huge crystal screens along the walls, a space big enough to fly in (in fact, a few fliers hovered overhead, guards with heavy energy rifles who were tracking their progress) and big enough to pack in a few hundred Decepticons. The walk went from uncomfortable to downright agonizing when he realized who was waiting at the far end, standing up on the raised platform that held the nightmarish throne.

Even from this far away, Megatron and Starscream looked larger than life, without the benefit of the Optimus armor to raise him up and shield him. Orion had thought he felt small and undefended before, but every step closer to them was like shrinking, like his spark was falling through the floor. His standard armor may as well have been tinfoil for how vulnerable it felt.

Don’t cry in front of Megatron. He tried to berate himself, internally, in Ariel’s voice. Baby. It was already bad enough that he couldn’t keep an optic on them and had resorted to watching his feet, ventilations ragged and too-hard. Hyperventilating probably wouldn’t be a great response, either, but hey, it wasn’t breaking down. And it let him focus on other things, like the unsettling quiet of the throne room. Especially given the usual interplay of sharp arguments he’d been personally witness to between Megatron and Starscream. He really was slagged, if they were both staying quiet just to wait for him.

“My Lord.” Shockwave rumbled as they came to a stop. Orion kept his helm stubbornly down. “I present to you; Orion Pax, of Iacon.”

There was silence for a moment, before Starscream sucked in a loud ventilation and Orion winced. “Pax. That’s ironic. Peace.”

“It is the order most responsible for taking in war-orphans. The Order of Pax accounts for nearly sixty-seven per-cent of orphaned sparkling care among the Autobot territories.” Shockwave drolled out. True enough. Orion had known dozens of other Paxes, most of them without creators like him. He counted his ventilations, and looked at where the deep, grey-purple floors were scuffed by countless pedes before his own.

“You are certain this is him?” Megatron finally spoke up, voice low and smooth and Orion felt dizzy. It hadn’t been easy to fight Megatron, but it had been so much easier as Optimus Prime. Armored and armed and he was certain if he tried to get his utility axe out here and now he’d be dead before he even finished drawing it from subspace, but Optimus Prime would have stood a chance. “If there is any room for error-”

“There is not.” Shockwave put a heavy set of claws on Orion’s helm, and he let out an undignified whimper. Ariel would’ve been yelling at him, he just knew it. “My tests were extensive. His genetic coding is a perfect match.”

Oh Primus. Oh Primus, had they gotten ahold of his energon as Optimus? He thought of every time he’d been injured in the armor. Where could they have gotten a clean sample? Testing spilled energon was tough, the code degraded so fast when exposed to air or the surface of Cybertron, and it wasn’t like he hadn’t spilled energon in turn to further complicate things- had they somehow gotten into the Iaconian databases to read his own coding on file? He realized after a moment that he wasn’t even ventilating anymore, holding a breath hot in his chest. Did they have samples of his friends? Maybe it was just him, maybe they were still safe-

“As if any more testing is needed.” Starscream cut in. “Look at him! Look at that!” Starscream’s clawed hand came into Orion’s downturned gaze and talons pressed to his chin and tilted his head up, and he wondered if he was in shock, given how easily he let Starscream move his head up, and then tilt him side to side.

Megatron was looking down at him, but his expression was...inscrutable. No smug smirk of victory, or grit teeth of anger (he thought about the absolute rage Megatron’s face had held when he’d defeated him, when Optimus Prime had beaten him and then been refused the killing blow before he’d had to retreat.) Lips pursed tight, optics intent as if studying him. Trying to rationalize the adolescent who didn’t even have his final armors with the warrior who’d bested him?

Starscream turned his face the other way, and the Seeker locked eyes with him- their expression far more obvious and unguarded and...well, unsettling. Starscream was smiling, wide and wide-eyed and the smile split into a grin. “Will you look at those eyes.” The Seeker breathed, oddly quiet and soft given their usual harsh voice. Not a hint of malice or manic violence in that face, not like the fights he’d seen through Dion and Ariel’s eyes.

“Uhm.” Orion was rapidly realizing that, maybe, he didn’t know what was going on, here. This didn’t feel like an execution. Or an interrogation. Something was missing, something obvious to everyone else in the room. Starscream released his chin and he worked his mouth for a moment, but couldn’t find a word to say, instead glancing side to side. Maybe he’d hit his head when the Seekers grabbed him? Jarred his perceptive circuits.

Megatron was kneeling down, between his own height and the raised platform still more than large enough to be looking down at Orion from this position, but closer. Way too close for comfort, enough so that Orion could have reached out and put a hand on his helm with room to spare. He tried to look anywhere but Megatron. Up at the ceiling, to one side where Shockwave waited, to the other, where Starscream was still grinning and doing some sort of shuffling step side to side while those wings bobbed and flicked up and down in excitement.

Megatron cleared his vocalizer and Orion’s optics snapped back to him unwillingly. Say what you would of the warlord, but he had a presence that filled the room and demanded attention. “You know who we are?” He asked, and Orion mused over how very quiet his voice could be, when he’d only ever heard him barking order or bellowing promises of violence.

Orion gulped and nodded, unable to break focus with the burning red eyes of Megatron.

“Of course you do. I suppose it would be impossible not to, no matter who has had you.” Megatron’s gaze dropped to the autobot sigil on Orion’s chest. “Tell me, what do you know of your origins?”

Too confused and startled to do much of anything by way of resistance, Orion blinked a few times. They’d obviously had access to some form of his records, they must’ve known- Starscream’s shuffling half-dance of anticipation was growing louder the more he fidgeted. “Uhm.” He started. “I was raised by the Order of Pax, uh, when I was a mechlet, and then I was taken in by an archivist?” Something held his tongue on Alpha Trion’s name. Maybe his caretaker would be safe, still. Boy, he hated the sound of his voice, right now. Wavering and pitched with fear he was trying not to show. “And, uhm. That’s it. That’s all I know.”

Internally, he was screaming. WHAT?! WHY?! WHY DO YOU CARE WHY AM I HERE WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

It must have been obvious on his face, given the way Megatron’s expression quirked to something almost like amusement. A crooked sort of smile. “So you know very little. Perhaps nothing.”

“Uh.” Orion shrank down a bit. Because if the fear and confusion weren’t enough, he needed to feel a bit embarrassed for how little he knew, even if that wasn’t...atypical. It wasn’t as if he’d ever felt the need to look, not when he’d had Alpha Trion to care for him, to reassure him that no matter how he’d wound up in the care of the Order of Pax, he was wanted and loved at the archives. But the question caught in his throat until he croaked it out, voice breaking with a crackle of fearful static. “Why?”

Megatron rested his chin in his hand, elbow propped on his knee, thinking. “...You really do have his eyes.” His smile grew, and his expression was downright relieved. The warlord turned to his second, and Starscream only grinned wider if that were possible. “I suppose there is something to be said for a seeker’s genetics, even if he is wheeled.”

Orion silently mouthed ‘what’, because his processor’s frantic theorizing ground to a halt so abruptly that his vocalizer couldn’t quite function.

“Of course there is!” Starscream swooped around him and there were clawed hands on his arms but they were so careful, downright gentle in how they squeezed him and how Starscream peered over his shoulder with a crooning hum. “Thank goodness my coloration bred true, the poor boy wouldn’t deserve to be as dull as you!” Starscream grasped one of his wrists in a hand and it occurred to him that Starscream’s arms weren’t just blue, they were the same rich matte blue, a perfect match to his own.

“what” Orion whispered, choking on the word. Oh, the dizziness was back, and he was having trouble focusing his gaze. In fact, thinking about it, Starscream’s vibrant red plating would have been just about the right shade too. Red and blue were hardly rare colors, especially amongst Iaconians, but Starscream was certainly far more primary than most Seekers.

“Don’t mechhandle him-” Megatron sighed, rising back to his feet and gesturing for Starscream to shoo off. “Give him space, before you terrify the poor boy. Orion-” Starscream released him with a grumble, and swept forwards to stand beside Megatron, and the two of them were every inch the tall, proud, terrifying warlords who had swept across Cybertron. Made all the more terrifying by how they looked at Orion like...like...well, certainly not like an enemy, like a captured soldier. Hopeful. Relieved. Adoring. “-we have much to tell you.”

Megatron extended a hand down to him, open and palm up. Orion stared at it, mute with confusion. “what?” He mumbled, again, and tried not to think about those huge, powerful hands crumpling his armor, trying to beat him to death as Optimus Prime.

“Beginning with your heritage.” Megatron flexed his fingers, and Shockwave nudged him in the back with a sharp prod of a claw, startling him into placing his own small, unarmored hand in Megatron’s palm. He was held, and pulled up onto the raised platform before Megatron and Starscream, barely keeping his pedes under him in the process with a yelp. “You are not of Iacon, Orion.” He rolled Orion’s name smoothly, as if testing it, as if appreciating it. “You were created in Tarn, born in the great southern fortress at the border of Vos.”

Huh, thought Orion, caught in a dreamlike state where nothing quite seemed real. Maybe he really had hit his helm back there. Maybe this really was some sort of hallucination. That would have been the heart of Decepticon territories, decades ago. All that made it out of his mouth was another “w-what?”

“Orion Pax of Tarn.” Megatron practically purred it. “We believed you lost, a war was no place for a sparkling-”

“-And our fortress was destroyed-” Starscream interjected, claws on Orion’s arm again on one side, and then Megatron’s heavy hand on his other shoulder. So very trapped.

“-but fate has brought you back to us.” Orion could feel some sort of glitch turning into a cascade failure. Dizzy. Trouble focusing. Trouble moving. His body felt fuzzy and far away. “My son.”

“Our son.” Starscream added. And they looked at him like he was pricelessly important to them, unguarded and honest.

It would’ve been better if it didn’t make sense. As it was, Orion gawped, and managed to not simply say another confused ‘what’ or choke out another senseless ‘uhm’. He actually managed a full sentence, through the shock. Unfortunately, that sentence was “I’m sorry, I’m going to crash.” followed by his vision cutting out. There was a distant awareness of someone, multiple someones yelling and he didn’t fall far before there were arms around him, catching and supporting him, and then…he was out.

Megatron carefully arranged the adolescent in his arms, ignoring Starscream’s shrill cries, very aware suddenly of how small Orion was, in nothing but basic armors and without so much as a weapon on him, frowning at the autobrand that looked up at him. “Stop that.” He growled at Starscream, who whined. “He is fine, I can hardly blame him for glitching.”

“Be gentle with him!” The Seeker hissed.

“He is fine.” Megatron reassured. As it was, Orion simply vented soft and slow in his arms, slack and unconscious but unharmed. “Shockwave, have a medic sent to his quarters. I-”

“We!” Starscream added.

“-will bring him there.”

“At once, my Lord.” Shockwave would have sighed if it weren’t unprofessional. Ah, well. He could endure the inefficient softness Megatron was going to display around this...mechlet for now. If it pleased his Lord, he could see the benefit of having kidnapped his offspring. And one had to suppose, better than waiting for an Autobot to find out...and make their own plans for him.

Wave 3 Bot Review

First things first; Bah Weep Granah Weep Nini Bong! Since I like playing this game; I thought I’d start up a blog for it. And since Wave 3 is right on the horizon, what better way to start than to give a review of the Bots in Wave 3. These are just my opinions; you might have completely different ones.

T09 Major Shockwave

An interesting card; that works rather well with the original Shockwave from Wave 1. Definitely good for playing mind games on your opponent. Possibly the best SRT in this Wave.

T11 Major Ultra Magnus

Only really a good character if you can keep his armour on him. Bit easy to beat otherwise I’d reckon. And he’s a pattern matcher; so if you don’t build for that he may as well be vanilla on his bot side.

P3 Private Smashdown

Vanilla on bot side. Weapon side punishes mono-colour decks; so might be useful in competitive play.

T19 Private Red Heat

Does Swap Parts when his bot mode ability is used. He will definitely be useful in a certain deck that the enabler card got banned. Assuming of course he doesn’t go the way of Swap Parts and get banned as well.

T08 Major Prowl

Bot mode ability is really good; weapons are a common upgrade to see (whether they be Energon Axes, Flamethrowers, Mining Picks or anything else) so he will like do two direct damage to an enemy when he attacks. Other than that… lack of an alt mode ability is a little disappointing.

T01 Alpha Trion

Battlefield Legend Light. He will definitely see competitive play; either with the aforementioned Battlefield Legend or in place of him.

T13 Private Firedrive

He’s actually a rare Battlemaster ; one with an actual ability on his bot side; one that helps him when he gets KO’d. Useful as a game finisher I reckon.

T25 Raider Aimless

For use in blue decks. Another one with an ability in bot mode. He’s rather nasty if you can get the deck set up for him (3 blue is quite a lot to flip in one attack!) But otherwise; he seems solid to me.

T42 Sergeant Cog

Not sure he should be SRT. He’s vanilla on bot side. His weapon mode ability is nice; and would have been better if Swap Parts wasn’t banned! Should have been a Rare.

T24 Private Trailbreaker

Good if you can keep the Forcefield on him; but a bit so-so otherwise. (Now we just need a Kaon so we can recreate THAT scene.) A Wave filler Transformer.

T33 Raider Nightstick

He’s vanilla on the bot side. His weapon side relies upon a lot of black pips in deck (or a lucky flip!) Would have been a better ability if it did damage I think.

T32 Raider Needlenose

He’s reliant on having star cards in deck. In other words a sink hole (you need to build your deck around him; like Mirage from Wave 1; or Skywarp from Wave 2). Could be fun to experiment with; but won’t see competitive play.

T48 Specialist Ratchet

Another sinkhole. Unless we get some better repair cards; he’s never going to get more than 4 attack boost if you Brainstorm into two Medics. And his alt side is vanilla after the start of the game. Wish he repaired when he flipped to alt mode as well.

T16 Private Mudslinger

Does Fling when his bot mode ability is used. Not sure that particular card was good to begin with. A Wave filler Transformer.

T05 Captain Wheeljack

Again; a vanilla alt side after the game begins. Bot side is good if you run lots of actions that allow you to play multiple actions; but otherwise, not particularly good. A Wave filler Transformer.

T35 Raider Road Hugger

Does Leap Into Battle when his bot mode ability is used. That card is good; and this fellow might be useful as a result. Can give blue decks a bit of a kick (that I’m not sure it needs).

T14 Private Flak

Does New Designs when his bot mode ability is used. Not a bad card; useful in upgrade heavy decks (or turn 1; to play an Upgrade on one of your characters!)

T38 Raider Storm Cloud

Does Focus Fire when his bot mode ability is used. Can also be done with three actions that don’t match for Supercharge. Possibly good in orange heavy decks but only if the deck also runs green/orange cards.

T47 Specialist Flamewar

A bit of a let-down. Two abilities that are a bit so-so. Can we have a different female Decepticon please (like Nickel!)? A Wave filler Transformer.

T40 Raider Visper

Does Sonic Scramble when his bot mode ability is used. Not sure that card was particularly good in the first place (only draws cards back up if all three were played). Guess that makes him another Wave filler Transformer.

T31 Raider Laserbeak

Not a bad ability on either side; good tap ability too. Decent card; but will probably see play with Soundwave only.

T15 Private Lionizer

Probably will go in orange heavy decks. Bold 4 is easily the strongest boost on a weapon (that doesn’t scrap!)

T12 Private Arcee

Another so-so card. She’s alright; but not really a stand out card. A Wave filler Transformer.

T03 Captain Ironhide

This one on the other hand… is actually very good. Easily the best Ironhide. He gives Wave 1 Shockwave the middle finger while in alt mode; and his bot mode ability isn’t bad either.

T10 Major Soundwave

Not really a stand out card. He’s only good with both Ravage and Laserbeak beside him. Shame really; a lot of people have been screaming for him (Now give us Tarn!).

T34 Raider Ravage

Vanilla on alt side. Bot mode ability is a bit disappointing. Not really going to see play; except with Soundwave.

T45 Sergeant Skywarp

Again; like the previous Skywarp, he relies upon the deck being built around him. This one likes Secret actions. Could work with Thundercracker though; if you run enough Secret Actions.

T23 Private Tote

He’s cute. He can be used to untap your other little fellows; but he’s not much good for much else. A Wave filler Transformer.

T18 Private Red Alert

A non-vanilla Red Alert. And a not bad one at that. Could work with Ratchet; as he repairs when you flip to alt mode.

T28 Raider Detour

Does Pep Talk when his bot mode ability is used. Not a bad card; but not sure that he’d be better than Pep Talk itself; except on turn 1.

T41 Sergeant Chromia

I’m happy; because she works well with Ironhide! Both want a blue deck; so they work together. Her ability is similar to Wave 1 Chromia’s, but for blue; much easier to hit.

T02 Captain Elita-1

Prime’s girlfriend and I see her being played with Battlefield Legend. She’s also not a bad card; considering she can sneak all of the damage on to her then trigger a Leap of Faith ability when KO’d.

T46 Sergeant Sparkstalker

One of the Firecons. Good in orange decks; so could see play in them. Can also scrap armour to make it easier to hit enemies for your other bots.

T27 Raider Cindersaur

One of the Firecons. Also very orange orientated. Can do direct damage if he has enough Bold.

T29 Raider Flamefeather

One of the Firecons. Can actually boost his defense when you flip orange while he defends; so is actually the most interesting of the three in my opinion. Shame his alt mode ability only works with the other Firecons.

T30 Raider Ion Storm

Vanilla on alt side. Bot mode side isn’t very interesting. A Wave filler Transformer.

T26 Raider Blowpipe

A card that will only get more potent as the game progresses and more colours get added. He’s not bad at the moment, though.

T07 General Optimus Prime

A bit of a let-down. Won’t see play over Battlefield Legend; as he’s nowhere near as good. Could have been an uncommon; as his ability is really unimpressive.

T06 General Megatron

He’s actually a very interesting card. He would be amazing in a deck with Megatron, Living Weapon… But unfortunately; Living Weapon is also 13*s and can’t be teamed up with the General! That’s the only shame; other than that, possibly the best Megatron.

T37 Raider Runamuck

He’s vanilla on alt side. When he flips to bot mode; his buddy Runabout does as well. Could be a fun combo at release events; and possibly after too!

T43 Sergeant Hound

He’s vanilla on alt side. Bot mode ability has been seen before on Starter Set Megatron. A Wave filler Transformer.

T36 Raider Runabout

He’s vanilla on bot side. When he flips to alt mode his buddy Runamuck flips (and both of them heal 1 damage!) Could be a fun combo at release events; and possibly after too!

T04 Captain Starscream

Another sinkhole Starscream. You need to build a deck around scrapping enemy upgrades for him to be useful. Don’t think he’ll see play over Decepticon King.

T20 Private Sideswipe

Wants to be the last bot standing so he can get big when you flip him to alt mode. Not sure he’s quite as good as Legendary Warrior Bumblebee (who also wants to be the last bot standing). Another candidate in car decks; though.

T22 Private Topshot

Does Incoming Transmission when his bot mode ability is used. Not a bad card; but I’m sure he’d only be useful turn 1 over Incoming Transmission itself.

T39 Raider Triggerhappy

His alt mode ability isn’t bad; especially to get back Grenade Launchers or Power Punches. Since he suits an orange deck; his bot mode ability isn’t bad either (two orange flipped = guaranteed 4 damage!).

T21 Private Stakeout

Does Rapid Conversion when his bot mode ability is used. Again; not sure this card would be preferable over the actual card; not even on turn 1. A Wave filler Transformer.

T44 Sergeant Skrapnel

His bot mode ability is interesting. Not sure he’s as good as Wave 1 Skrapnel; but he’s not bad.

T17 Private Pteraxadon

The weapon mode ability is very good. Brilliant counter to blue heavy decks; if it pays off. Shame he’s not a Dinobot.

I’m sure you’ve all got your favourites; and cards you want most (I know I do!) I hope you all get exactly who you want; and that you have fun playing with these new guys and gals!

O: Uh, Thundercracker and-

Together: Skywarp

O: And then, of course, they're like what the fuck do we do with money?

[Intro music]

O: Hello and welcome to the Afterspark Podcast, an episode by episode recap of the generation 1 Transformers cartoon! I'm Owls!

S: And I'm Specs!

O: And today we're gonna be talking about episode number 7, Fire in the Sky. Let's talk about giant robots today, shall we?

S: Yep!

O: So last time on the Transformers: Optimus nearly dies, again.

S: Again.

O: Again. Chip goes to Cybertron and shows surprising resistance to acid rain, unlike the robots and Shockwave can't hit shit.

S: There may or may not have been dancing involved.

O: Indeed.

S: [Laughter]

O: Regardless, back at the Ark, it's snowing!

S: The robots appear to be having fun with Spike.

O: And then Jazz was pretending to be a snowman to surprise Spike.

S: Oh god, did the other Autobots just go and dump snow on him? [Laughter] But oh god, yeah, Jazz continues to prove to be delightful. How long was he standing like that? Do you think he had the other Autobots, ah, put all that snow on him?

O: God, I hope so! [Laughter]

S: Then a snowball fight breaks out, Jazz gets buried in the snow again. It's snow fair!

O: Be afraid! The snow puns are here!

S: So many snow puns.

O: Anyway Bumblebee almost kills Spike with a freakin’ snow boulder!

S: And somehow this cumulates- that feels like a weird snow pun.

O: [Laughter] Cumulus, if you will.

S: Yes, with Spike rolling down a hill, um, into more of a ball and consuming three Autobots in rolling snowy terror.

O: They’re all fine after this! Including Spike who was in this, like, boulder sized snowball thing and hit three robots!

S: How the hell didn't he get splatted? Also there's cactuses and a palm tree involved, in Oregon.

O: Now, ladies and gentlemen, coming to you from the Pacific Northwest there are not cacti and palm trees here, ok?

S: Especially since that area would be, um, like it would be at least semi-arid but it- yeah, no, cacti.

O: There would be no cacti.

S: No palm trees.

O: Meanwhile, Optimus Prime investigates the weird-ass weather. Apparently all the heat from the Earth's core is being drained.

S: I guess the people of Alaska and Russia are are just, um, dead.

O: Yeah, they, like, say it dropped by X number of degrees, and we’re like, oh boy, everybody must be dead. Cool. Anyway, you’ll be surprised who's behind this nefarious plot.

S: Anyway in the Arctic, green crystals erupt from the ground and somehow the Decepticons are draining the heat from the Earth's core by draining this crystal thing?

O: No, we don't get it either, but that's what they're doing. Uh, so we the cut to Rumble who's pounding through ice and somehow causes an underground avalanche sort of thing?

S: Sort of. Maybe. I don't know. And afterwards Skywarp and Rumble come across a dead body. [Laughter]

O: Well they nearly dead, anyway.

S: Apparently this is just a giant, freaking robot.

O: Like, bigger than Megatron or Optimus! That much bigger. So Megatron is delighted by this find because he's like, “I have more cannon fodder to toss at the Autobots!”

S: And Teletraan 1 is able to pinpoint the Decepticons’ activity in the Arctic except it's like they're panning over and panning over and they completely bypass the freaking green rock and then it's like, “Hey! Go back to that thing!”

O: [Laughter] Wait, that might have been important!

S: Yeah, and so the Autobots roll out!

O: Ratchet apparently catches up later since he's not seen leaving the Ark with everyone else, and I believe this also happens with a few other characters, um.

S: I don't remember who.

O: It's- god, it's not Huffer.

S: Hound?

O: No, no my brains going Wheelie--

S: [Laughter}

O: --and he doesn’t show up till the movie

S: Cliffjumper?

O: No! No, no, no, uh. He's annoying, he's a jerk. Gears! I want to say like Gears and Bumblebee also maybe don't show up and I don't remember. I just know like a bunch of Autobots that you don't see leaving also show up in the Arctic with them.

S: I don't remember who was there at all, but I guess Ratchet decided to hussle his hoofies [Laughter]

O: [Laughter] Apparently.

S: And back with our favorite energy stealing bastards! The new Transformer is being repaired by the Seekers and Soundwave, with Megatron supervising because apparently he just likes doing that.

O: Elsewhere in the multiverse IDW Megs, act-actually a goddamn medic and Captain of the Lost Light has a conniption about his useless G1 counterpart. Also our bad, it's Soundwave and all the Seekers doing the repairing here, not just Soundwave and Starscream. So apparently robots have a concept of freshness as Thundercracker comments on how being on ice kept it fresh. While, they continue to repair the big guy.

S: Do- do they like their Energon fresh? Or can they have, like, fine vintage aged Energon?

O: No clue, but apparently Starscream knows this guy and I swear to god--Megs is giving Starscream a look that's like, “What do you mean this is your ex?”

S: Anyway, big guy's name is Skyfire and he's a scientist.

O: Which we’ll see more shortly but uh so while working on Skyfire, Soundwave spins his arm into like an energy projectile cannon that's apparently their version of a freaking defibrillator.

S: I don't think we ever see it again.

O: it looks really weird!

S: It just spins into existence. Why? Meanwhile, Starscream explains that himself and Skyfire were scientists that were exploring earth millions and millions of years ago and Skyfire got lost in the storm because-

O: So--this is the most concern we ever see from Starscream for anyone other than himself like EVER.

S: Yeah.

O: But about this flashback. So a couple of things, um, we see Skyfire and Starscream flying in space. This means their jet forms are spaceworthy, apparently. What.

S: Well, I mean, we later see Starscream flying in space with Shockwave riding him at some point.

O: Oh god.

S: Like he just picks up Shockwave off a freaking a meteor or something? If I’m remembering properly.

O: I don't even. Um, Starscream should be a pyramid jet here because the flashback takes place way before the start of the series but he’s still an earth jet, like millions of millions of years before jets existed.

S: He wanted to be fashionable in this flashback.

O: Apparently. It was edited! He edited the flashback. Uh, so the continents that we see on Earth should not look like this they look like modern-day Earth and maybe they wouldn't be like full-on Pangaea as one mass but they definitely shouldn't be in their modern-day configurations.

S: Yeah, and also it's super weird because this is playing from Skyfire’s of memory thingy in his head? But everything is in third person and Skyfire is visible in all the shots.

O: So does he have a camera crew following him around, you think?

S: Maybe? I mean shoot maybe at one point he had a stupid little drone that followed them around like IDW Jetfire and it just gave him footage, I don’t know.

O: Okay, he is definitely Starscream’s ex, this poor guy is way too happy to see Screamer when he wakes up.

S: And Megatron basically says, “Welp, you're a Decepticon now. Don't suck at it!”

O: Or, you know, you're gonna die. Skyfire is kind of hesitant to fight because he's a scientist and not a warrior

S: Like, he wants to study stuff, not kill shit. And later Starscream tells Skyfire that, “He, Starscream, would be in command of the Decepticons,” eventually and then Skyfire will be Second-in-command.

O: Oh boy, oh boy. Eh, Skyfire doesn't really get what's going on right now because he's been out of commission for like a zillion years but he's trying real hard.

S: Poor dude but yeah.

O: So the Autobots show up and Skyfire, thinking they’re enemies, fires on them, because he's been told they're bad guys.

S: He is obedient, I guess. And a fight breaks out basically ending in Skyfire accidentally kidnapping Spike and Sparkplug for their own good after they basically get marooned on a little ice flow.

O: He’s legitimately like, “Oh no! Why are you guys scared, you’ve got nothing to fear, we’re the good guys.”

S: Cuz, he’s like, “Yeah, I'm not gonna hurt you!”

O: Yeah-

S: It's not gonna work out, buddy. Naturally, he brings them to Megatron and Starscream.

O: This goes about as well as you'd expect.

S: Like a lead balloon [sound effect] straight down.

O: So both humans have been tossed in an ice cage.

S: That's not gonna end well for anybody.

O: No. Hypothermia will be your gift.

S: Starscream and Megatron chastise Skyfire for being nice to the flesh creatures.

O: Skyfire has known these guys for all of five seconds and he calls them his friends. Please, please, someone give this robot a hug? This guy deserves a hug!

S: He deserves so much more than he so much better than, well, what he gets from the Decepticons or the Autobots.

O: For that matter! Uh,. but Skyfire’s, like, I’m a scientist, not a warrior!

S: Oh my god, he literally channels Bones from Star Trek.

O: Kind of! The Autobots falling behind in an attempt to save their favorite squishies.

S: And thus begins the wonder of Optimus Prime's inconsistently disappearing trailer. Outside the cave, no trailer. Inside the cave, you got a trailer.

O: And that'll happen multiple times. Anyway, Gears stops, like dumbass, causing Ironhide, Hound, Ratchet, and Gears to fall through ice.

S: Into the nice little ice hole.

O: Apparently. Back to Optimus! Because we're gonna be swapping between three goddamn groups- three or four goddamn groups of people here. I'm not even exaggerating- back to Optimus, Bee, Jazz and Cliffjumper. Optimus’ trailer disappears again and they hear Spike and Sparkplug crying out for help.

S: And Bumblebee totally looks like he's levitating in this shot, I don't remember if it's because he's sort of in front of something that should be- be-

O: In the foreground?

S: Yeah, yeah, I think that's it. Cliffjumper blasts the humans out of the cage, “Lucky for you my laser has a defrost cycle.” Why?

O: Please, name one other time in which that function was actually useful there Cliffjumper.

S: I mean that would be useful for defrosting himself when he's outside in the winter but I mean you never see him use it again.

O: You see! Does Cybertron have ice? Why would he even have this!?!

S: Well, considering that their planet doesn't revolve around a star and it's flying through space it's probably super friggin cold, but I don't know if-

O: Does that matter to them?

S: I don't remember, I feel like, well, in Prime it definitely matters.

O: Oh, yeah but it has to be like sub-zero temperatures.

S: And it matters in Rescue Bots, not sure about here. It doesn't appear to matter here soooo.

O: Prime and Rescue Bots are in the same continuity, though. So, Hound, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Gears spy on the Decepticons stealing heat from the Earth's core. They're promptly seen by Megatron because they're all terrible at hiding.

S: They’re super bad at it, god. Soundwave releases Ravage to scout for any additional Autobots.

O: Back with Optimus Prime because, again, we're swapping, oh, we're swapping so quickly here, folks.

S: Perspectives, point of views, who gives a damn.

O: The- this show- it can't focus. Anyway back with Optimus and the others, Jazz is using the unit of time astro-minutes.

S: At least he's not counting in astro-seconds?

O: Okay, but seriously if you want a good laugh go check out the TFWiki for units of time (we’ll link to it in the show notes). I swear so many of these units are just ??? on like what their actual real world measurement equivalent is. Like, even the fans don't know how long an orn or an astro-minute is and this is hilarious to me.

S: Cuz the fandom’s been around for thirty years and, well, not necessarily fandom, but canon continuities keep coming up with stupid things to add and then not necessarily defining them.

O: Or it’s different between different continuities?

S: Yeah, Cliffjumper runs ahead like a dumbass

O: Again.

S: [Laughter] And is promptly tackled to the ground by Ravage and they escape having trapped Ravage “cold.”

O: Aaaaaah! Why do you guys do this to me?!

S: Cause they love fuckin puns- [Laughter] Cause they fucking love puns!

O: Anyway, they do this by burying him under ice and snow. Um, meanwhile Ratchet and the rest have been lined up firing squad style?

S: They- they don't even get any last requests.

O: This just in, the Decepticons are assholes!

S: Not like we're surprised, I mean.

O: Yeah, no, I mean they're all assholes.

S; Yeah. Skyfire’s like, “'I’m a scientist, not an executioner!” and this pisses off Starscream who shoots him.

O: Starscream then shoots the Autobots, causing them to explode and walks off without checking the fucking bodies.

S: That's not- you’re- You’re Megatron’s second-in-command, you should know better.

O: You should be more competent than this, bud. But anyway, surprise Hound hologram shenanigans.

S: Ho-lo-gram.

O: Hologram shenanigans.

S: So the Autobots are fine! But Skyfire’s not in good shape.

O: And then all the Autobots regroup and Ratchet attempts to save Skyfire and meanwhile Laserbeak is spying on the Autobots while they work

S: And we cut to Megatron who's holding an Energon cube and is gazing at an admiringly, like he's totally admiring his ill-gotten gains.

O: Are we sure he's not just staring at Starscream’s ass through that!?! I'm telling you he's just staring at Starscream’s ass!

S: He's admiring Starscream's lustrous finish [Laughter]

O: Anyway, he receives the transmission from Laserbeak about the Autobot activity and then promptly beans Starscream in the head with the Energon cube.

S: Starscream was clearly posing like a model when Megatron hits him so, I guess your theory regarding--

O: Staring at his ass.

S: I guess-

O: He Just wants to be pretty! And he wants his spouse to notice him, ok? “You disgust me!” exclaims Megatron as he yells at Starscream for not killing the Autobots like he freaking said he did!

S: And then the Seekers attack the Autobots I guess by strafing them, I don't know, while Ratchet continues to work on Skyfire

O: And this part cracks me up because the size difference between Skyfire and Ratchet- it looks like a toddler operating on an adult. Like, that is how much bigger Skyfire is been the rest of them.

S: Oh god, it would be even more pronounced if Ratchet was a minibot.

O: Oh my god! [Laughter] That’s a thought.

S: Yeah, yeah, and Optimus’ trailer appears out of nowhere because guess who gets to show up today! It’s Roller! To shoot at the Seekers. Yeah, and Roller shoots Skywarp in the butt, who thenrear-ends Thundercracker sending them both nose-first into the ocean.

O: Which basically puts them out of commission for the rest of the fight. I have to ask, ya think Megatron would, you know, send out the cassettes here. Who we have established are here! Rumble can fight, they’re on ice, it’s not like they couldn't break up the ground and send the Autobots into the water! We all know Optimus Prime cannot fucking swim.

S: Yeah, we've already seen that.

O: We'll see it again, actually, next episode where the Autobots cannot fucking swim.

S: [Laughter] Oh god, yeah, Megatron and Optimus fight with green crystal shards- got some amazing photos from this.

O: [Laughter] Which we will also post. But, these silly crystal sound effects are clearly just two pipes being banged together here.

S: Bang, bang, bang, or bong or whatever, I don't think they used bong, they couldn't get bells or wind chimes or something?

O: Yeah, to make it sound kind of tinkly--no, it just sounds like you're banging two pipes together!

S: And Optimus grapples Megatron, lifting him up into the air and Megatron then rotates his lower body 180 degrees and lands behind Optimus, knocking him down. It's kind of amazing, honestly.

O: You’d think they do stuff like this more often since they’re, you know, robots--but they don’t.

S: I mean, if they actually made use of their whole, “Hey, we rotate to transform here.”

O: Yeah, like, cuz a lot of them do.

S: Yeah, uh, so while on his back cuz Optimus is knocked to the ground, he starts spinning his wrist really, really quickly? And makes- he- like a helicopter hand? That he just uses to toss Megatron behind him into an ice wall?

S: He's, like, spinning him on- it's like, he's still holding the weird crystal sword-

O: Yeah!

S: -Thingy and like, it spins and then sort of- Megatron’s- he's not levitated on it, but-

O: He, like, picks Megatron up with it?

S: It’s weird.

O: It's bizarre.

S: Yeah, it’s bizarre, but it got some really funny screencaps

O: Yeah.

S: Yeah, really funny photos.

O: It was pretty funny looking.

S: Yeah, cuz, I was doing that janky thing where I just photos of your TV.

O: If you’re curious why our screenshots look the way they do, it’s because we’re taking literal pictures of my TV, mostly because we think it actually looks funnier than trying to screen cap them off the computer.

S: Yeah, it's got more- it's got more character.

O: More character. Look, we can't- we can't make it look as bad as the 80s, but we can certainly make it look worse. Okay, so Megaton orders Skyfire to kill the Autobots because Skyfire’s up and about again Skyfire then promptly rips off his Decepticon symbol and pulls an Autobot badge out of fucking nowhere and just, like, sticks it on his chest. Where did he even get that? How do he even get that? Did Ratchet hand it to him after repairing him? Does Ratchet carry spares!?!

S: And why did his Decepticon symbol act like cloth?

O: Yeah, or a sticker or something? Like, what is it made out of?

S: Do they just carry, you know, do Decepticons just just carry stickers or symbols just to give people cuz...

O: Yeah, like, do both sides do this? They can’t- we don't see people swap like sides very often so this seems very strange, if they, like, carry around stickers.

S: I mean, I guess, if we wanted, you know, some comparison we could look and see what Octane does cuz I think he changes sides, but that's neither here nor there let's get back to this.

O: [Laughter]

S: And Skyfire tosses Megs off into the distance- I don't actually remember this, so I don’t remember how impressive it is.

O: [Laughter] Skyfire does a lot of tossing over the next couple of minutes. Reflector also attempts to attack, as like a weird mobile robot pyramid, like there's two of them on the bottom carrying the other one. They also promptly get tossed.

S: Starscream attacks from the air, Skyfire takes off to follow him.

O: Starscream, the most treacherous second in command in existence, tells Skyfire he'll pay first treachery and I just have one thing to say, “Pot meet Kettle!”

S: [Laughter] Except Skyfire’s, like-

O: Not an asshole!

S: He also didn't exactly get a fair, you know, read in on this. It was basically, “Hey, you're my property now, here's a sticker.”

O: Well, yeah. Starscream just has no room to talk. At all!

S: Well yeah, considering that he keeps trying to take over the Decepticons kill and Megatron

O: Yeah.

S: Yeah. Skyfire knocks Starscream out of the air but not without damaging himself, I guess Ratchet- Ratchet didn't do much in the way of fixing him, cuz I guess he doesn't have much in the way of spare parts. Not a lot of junk in his trunk. [Laughter]

O: [over laughter] Ugh, god, no. He has no trunk! He has no trunk! [indistinct] He has no trunk, Specs, you can not make that joke!

S: On his way down, he causes an avalanche with the tiniest freaking gun-

O: Cuz, again, he’s huge! Right, like, he just has this tiny little gun! [Laughter]

S: Covering the green crystal and the day saved because of this, for some reason? Apparently that's enough to insulate the stupid crystal and stop the-

O: Apparently.

S: The Earth's heat energy from being sucked out.

O: Unfortunately for Skyfire, he also gets buried.

S: Bad Autobot buddies there. Yeah, unfortunately, yeah. Well, goodbye Skyfire, who we’ll never see again.

O: You know that bad little habit everyone has of not checking bodies?

S: Yeah. The Autobots are just like---god Autobots, why? Optimus utterly fails to comfort Spike as they vow to remember Skyfire. Why?

O: But not dig him out, you assholes! And that’s where the episode ends, it that cheesy, I swear to god and maybe I'm wrong- but I swear to god, it does that cheesy anime thing where like, you know, you have the character big in the sky as it like, you know, cuts the episode?

S: Big in the sky and the sunset, like, “We're thinking of you-”

O: Right!

S: “Your memory is in our hearts!”

O: Again, if we have not made this clear, we’ll see Skyfire again shortly. Because these guys are idiots!

S: And I guess it's a spoiler, but apparently they just need Wheeljack to freaking dig someone out.

O: I'm convinced Wheeljack just was like, “What do you mean? All we need to do is dig him out. He was fine ice for millions of years. I'm just gonna go do this.”

S: He's still fresh!

O: [Laughter]

S: He’s even more fresh than he was before, he's only been in there like five minutes!

O: [Laughter] Anyway, that’s where the episode ends. Next time join us for the introduction of the Dinobots! Or as we like to call it, “How not to treat your newborns!” Seriously, Prime’s solution is to lock them in the goddamn closet.

S: You're a bad godfather, Optimus.

O: He should not be a godfather at all! Prime, Prime, you should not be around children, go away!

S: Yup, yup.

O: So, my dear Specs tell us about our fanfic!

S: Well, um, we’ve got kind of an avalanche-

O: [Laughter]

S: -for you today because I just kind of went hog-wild and did more than three.

O: Whoops.

S: So, yeah, lots of stuff that are involve either robots doing dumb stuff in snow, or Skyfire or Soundwave, and yeah. Lots of robots doing dumb stuff in snow and ice.

O: [Laughter]

S: So our first- first selection today is “Bobsled Australia” by Korat. It's a G1 cartoon continuity, I think. It's- yeah,

O: Vaguely, at least.

S: Yeah, well, it focuses on original characters so it's not like it really matters.

O: True.

S: So it's rated T for teen. It's Gen, there aren't any pairings, the original characters are Dart and Deus. So Korat’s original character Dart, and Deus, who is Retrolex's original character.

S: So in summary, “Two transformers, a mountain, and one makeshift sled.”

O: [Laughter]

S: And mountain is specifically about a Mount Blue Cow in Australia, if I'm remembering properly. It's- it's fun. it's funny. So yeah, theme in this was snow plus robots doing dumb stuff in it.

O: [Laughter]

S: It's- it's old, it's good, I really enjoy it. I recommend it even if you're not terribly into OC’s/original characters just because these two have- like they bounce off each other pretty well and it's fun and you get to see robot’s bobsledding.

O: [Laughter]

S: Bobsledding down a mountain. It's kind of great. And our next one is “28 Skyfires” by Beertree. G1 cartoon, rated K+. Slash because it's got Skyfire/Starscream in it, yeah. Characters: Skyfire and Starscream are the main ones, though there are probably some other supporting characters.

S: Uh, G1, In summary “Finally some new fic from the meme going around in LiveJournal, here are 28 Skyfires. These are listed alphabetically except where a plotline is involved then it's chronological for the story rated K-T for Skyfire/Starscream slash and implied slash,” and our theme for that one is ‘Skyfire” cuz might as well have something all about the new dude.

S: Right, so this is a one-shot collection. Bobsled Australia was a one-shot. Like ne- let's go to the next one, which is “Technical Support” by Archaeopteryx_Feather. Uh, G1 cartoon. K- rated K. It's gen, no pairings. It- the main characters are Soundwave and Starscream. In summary, “Soundwave was a medic of the mind, bound by the Technopathic Oath to do no harm. But what if the patient who needs help is Starscream?”

O: Kill it, kill it with fire.

S: So the theme with that was Soundwave and his medical skills cuz I specifically wanted to find something that, um, explored the medical skills that we got to see Soundwave use in this episode.

O: Fair enough.

S: And it's a one shot with an alternate ending in the second chapter. [Indistinct] And our next one is “Ice Skating” by Haluwasa2. It's a G1 IDW to shake things up from the G1 cartoon.

S: It's rated K. It's Gen, more or less. Pairings: Misfire/Grimlock. Characters: Fulcrum, Misfire, Grimlock. “On a pit stop to Earth, Fulcrum finds Misfire and Grimlock in an unexpected scenario that is... completely normal for them to be honest.” And it's robots doing silly stuff with ice and it's a one-shot.

S: And our last one today is “Snow Day with the Scavengers” by Pteropoda (SilentP), in um..

O: Parentheses.

S: Parenthesis, thank you, so it's also G1 IDW, rated K, Gen, no pairings. Our characters for this one are Fulcrum, Misfire, Krok, Crankcase, Spinister, and Grimlock.

O: Basically the Scavengers from the IDW comics.

S: Yep, yep, and in summary, “Fulcrum is not down with toboggans.” So, yeah. Again our theme is robots doing silly stuff in snow and it's a one shot. I- yeah I was very specific on robots doing silly stuff and snow was our big theme today.

O: [laughs] You just wanted something seasonal, uh, it will make no sense when this is actually aired- we're recording this right before Christmas, so it’s like, very in season for us!.

They're just very pretty and very well done and recommend checking them out cuz they kind of have a whole bunch of stuff and there's probably something for your favorite character.

I have an idea for two new factions to play parts as antagonists, but I need suggestions since I’m sort of operating a bit outside my usual series and I don’t want them to become like super over-saturated with just a few specific series.

Opening up suggestions for characters for two other factions, and I really would appreciate it if you send in suggestions ASAP!

First group is the Ringers, a warlike faction that’s intended to be a lot more morally darker than the Cobalts and serve as ideological opponents to the fleet, though they have some ulterior motives that make what they do reasonable, if not sympathetic at all. Their goal is to plunge the multiverse into endless war and conflict, in a fashion similar to Talon from Overwatch; they believe that warfare and conflict force people to evolve and become better people, and also seem to know something about an upcoming disaster or terrible shift in the multiverse that will make it necessary for people to be hardened in order to survive it.

Their overall themes include: Conflict Is Good, War as desirable or natural (with possible social darwinism), the craving of bloodshed and warfare in general, frowning upon idealism and notions of honor, building character through strife, and in terms of moral alignment, being a lighter shade of black; they’re not pure evil (for the most part, and those that are may be tolerated) and they’re better than the uncertain forces they have foreseen, but to those affected by their rampages and plots, but not by much.

Generally they go about stirring up conflict or engaging others in massive battles, attempting to attack people and force them to build alliances or exaggerate rivalries, and are usually plotting to find some relic or secret to do the one thing to make everyone start fighting.

Alternatively, they may be out to conquer the multiverse, or much of it as they can, in order to safeguard it from this unknown threat, and have a mentality that only they have the authority to do so and the will to do it. They may also have different sub-factions with different views, but in the end it comes down to the same methods.

I have some characters in mind, and may switch around others from various factions if they might fit better here, but i mainly need more Big Lady characters. Generally I would appreciate suggestions from some of the following fandoms: Marvel, Disney, DC, RPG-style games I can update for the setting, but I’m good for stuff I’m not familiar with. Just suggest whoever and I’ll see if they fit!

Some possible characters for this group of endless battle: Javik from Mass Effect, with elements of Doomfist from Overwatch (giant gauntlet that amplifies powers, the same motive, and goals). Azula from the Avatarverse, in full Evil Overlord lady mode, and perhaps Kuvira from Legend of Korra as a more straightforward warlord queen?

Airachnid from Transformers Prime, with characteristics of her IDW incarnation; less sadistic and more experiment-minded, and interested in psychological experiments on a vast scale. Also the Combaticons, all female here, as rough and tough soldiers that are like anti-Dinobots.

Maleficent from Disney, playing up her fae aspects to the full; she may have little interest in the actual purpose behind a multiverse of endless war, but is going with it for her own plans or amusement. Depends on how the Disney stuff interacts with this? She might be a dark goddess of magic backing them, too

The Condesce/Meenah Peixes, from Homestuck. In this continuity she was originally doing her endless war against all the multiverse in an attempt to build a homeland for the trolls, after their lost their homeworld of Beforus. After eons of endless war, she’s become incredibly bloodthirsty and perhaps a little addicted to slaughter, and may be losing track of her original goal in favor of slaking her bloodlust. (Alternatively, I may choose to put her into a criminal organization as part of the Midnight Crew and other groups that are criminals but not, y’know, total bastards. Depends on whether I want to play up her canon traits, or soften them.)

Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka from Warhammer 40k: he’s the embodiment of ‘orcs as warlike brutes’, how could i not?? Maybe a girl version for Ork Amazon fun?

Yellow Diamond: I previously implied that she, White and Blue were captives of Megatron and mere jewelery for him, but I might have it that she has become freed and joined up with these guys, embittered and coming to believe in their cause, desperate as she is to save her people.

Hel from Marvel, but with more traits of her mythical inspiration (perhaps she shifts between two extremes, one cold but fair, the other rather playfully malicious and hungry for death), acting as a divine backer for them?

General demony characters associated with battle and warfare: no specifics here at the moment, but characters that fit this motif would be good

In general, blood knight-types, femme fatales that can be read as warriors, and anyone that has a big character emphasis on strength would fit well here!

The second faction is a variant on the Suicide Squad/TAsk Force X from DC; an elite group of agents working on behalf of mysterious benefactors. Their true numbers are in the millions, but this refers specifically to a squad that is a recurring set of characters. They are not normally antagonistic, though their goals may bring them into conflict with the Fleet, and certainly they don't like the militant guys up there and the Cobalts fight with them….. A Lot.

This task force consists exclusively of anti-heroes, reformed villains, and characters who were once straight up pure bad but have since reformed. They are people looking for a chance to find a new life, atone for their misdeeds, or simply are looking for a better cause and were never bad to begin with.

They are run by Amanda Waller of DC, who may either be part of, or answer to, a governing assembly of big multiversal figures trying to bring some stability to the cosmos. They might also have divine backing; some of their agents are people who are definitely dead, but are still looking for a second chance.

Some possible members:

Reaper/Gabriel Reyes from Overwatch, playing up both his ghostly qualities and the idea that he is a double agent. Most likely the leader and role model for them, and is a straight up ‘anti hero that kills bad guys who deserve it’ character here, rather than the vengeful wraith he is in canon at present.

Blue Diamond: Assuming that its the same case with Yellow, she’s come to regret what she has enabled over the eons and come to conclude that Pink/Rose Quartz had been right all along. Note that her true form is likely planet-sized here. A good chunk of her loyal gems may attend as the squad’s brute muscle.

Shockwave: From Cybertron, mostly using his IDW characterization. Specifically, this is Senator Shockwave. Once this famously cold, heartless and logical ‘Con was a hopeful idealist until the corrupt leaders of his homeworld took his face, his hands, and his ability to feel anything but cold logic. Following recent events, though, his mind has been freed, and he is in shock at millions of years of horrifying cruelty, and he would like nothing better than tho put his scientific acumen to work helping the multiverse.

Bucky Barnes/The White Wolf: He’s Wallers’ attendant, representative in the squad, and something of a political officer, muddled by his tendency to be everyone’s obnoxious brother.

Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy: A two-for-one deal, both of them usually giant ladies or even a full on fusion, and their canon tendency to become better people by being around each other has blossomed into full on attempts to go Good. Harley’s actual job is to be an on-team psychiatrist, while Ivy has transformed into a full on plant monster lady who sees it as her job to restore devastated worlds to full health again.

Lust, from Fullmetal Alchemist. Honestly undecided if she belongs here or with the warmonger faction; either way, she is mostly akin to the canon Lust from the manga and Brotherhood, but with the motivations of her first anime counterpart. Big, busty and largely embodying bloodlust, she has somehow incorporated most of her fellow homunculi and gained their powers, most obviously Pride and Gluttony, becoming absolutely ravenous and death to all that face her, and she is called in to devour entire planets and absorb their souls if there is no other way to save them from otherwise certain doom. They can then be extracted from her and given new bodies at some later date.

Giganta, from DC. Drawing on the more benign or ‘hey, being a baddie is just a job, y’know?’ takes of her. With a bit of the friendly valley girl vibes she had in the DCU!

Slade Wilson/Deathstroke and DEadpool: Considered as one unit here because this version of Deadpool is a flawed clone of Slade, who was a highly skilled super soldier for hire. The squad dealt with Deadpool’s frustrated actions his makers forced him to do, and subsequently recruited both Slade and Deadpool into their ranks, with the latter being treated as an obnoxious little brother to Slade. This Slade is heavily based on his Arrowverse actor, and Deadpool looks like a melted version thereof.

Any additional characters are, again, highly encouraged! Generally I’m looking for characters who were anti-heroes or reluctant villains at best (think Mr. Freeze types; ones that felt they had no choice and they made you REAl SAD) or you could see them regretting what they did and wanting to atone for it.

Generally speaking, these guys aren’t antagonists except in the most genuine sense; they might have opposing goals to the fleet, but they are more likely allies than not. Occasionally their purposes might run counter and a fight starts, and they should ideally be so skilled as to pose a serious threat to even the most extreme numbers.

I’m rather lacking in Sexy Lady-Types for this faction, so I especially welcome suggestions on that score. Send ‘em in, please!

Interspecies interactions

I’m just going to jump in and say what I feel is a not too popular opinion: I actually really like seeing this in transformers media.

Not necessarily as in humans/transformers, but there was a big massive intergalactic war and I like seeing how other species were/are involved in it. It helps give a feel of just how big and, well, intergalactic it was.

It also helps that I’m a sucker for alien cultures and lore details too.

But yes, I’ve already talked a bit about their interactions with other mechanical species in some aspects, such as how we know for a fact that others were concerned enough about it that they hid spies within cybertronian ranks, some of whom may still be there.

As well as briefly about dire wraiths, but there really is a lot more to say, so that is exactly what I’m going to try do here!

First of all, I’ll touch on the mechanical species a bit more. Aside from what’s been already said about them and their interactions with cybertronians, that is.

We know, for instance that the combined efforts of the stentarian and cybertronian civil war, the galaxy as a large is so technophobic that the black block consortia got away with wiping out an entire colony of minicons. Nickel being explicitly the sole survivor of that.

As far as we know, nobody’s really done anything about that. Unless any civilians or something did protest and we just haven’t heard about it.

The Galactic Council also shot down a Camien ship too, pursuing it right into Solstar Territory to do so. This is despite the fact they must have known themselves that this would have caused a diplomatic issue.

So it should be noted that the war also caused tensions between organic species too, in regards to how to handle it.

Anyway, point is: general galactic consensus is anti-mechanical being.

So I have to say, I cannot help but think the mechanical species that have not been involved in a massive intergalactic war, like the Catharsians, ought to be angry at those who have been.

It’s painted a massive target on their backs too for a galaxy not likely to bother to try distinguish that not everyone in this image is even the same species:

And about those stentarians: transformers ended their war!

Wiped out billions of the ammonite faction. Just about all of them/ How do the stentarians feel about that?

The terrodores may be grateful, as we know the species isn’t above going for external help but...the ammonite survivors? There won’t be much with what happened, but there’ll be those like Paddox who for ever reason would not have been able to make it to the siege on Cybertron.

And the survivors will be going through the same sort of war -> peace adjustment period as the cybertronians are.

But in turn, cybertronians may also be angry about that siege a lot of them participated in. So who can say what general reactions would be like?

I won’t get into the spies again here though, since I’ve already talked about it before, but that in itself is a huge topic!

Now, about those wars that made mechanical beings so unpopular: a lot of worlds during the cybertronian one were cyberformed by the decepticons, wiping out the organic life residing on them.

But a thing is, not all of those species who were living on those worlds went extinct as a result of that! There were survivors who obviously either got off world before the phases came to their conclusion or were already off before they started.

For example, Megatron explicitly lists the Torkuli as one such people who the decepticons “wiped out”.

But here we see one in the background, modern day, as the Lost Lighters go visit a bar:

So it seems there are rare survivors.

And the status of the Nebulan people is ambiguous too.

Their world was rendered in such a state by Thunderwing it had to be abandoned entirely by the surviving members of the infiltration team, such as the Scavengers’ Crankcase. But they were definitely an advanced enough species to certainly have some members off world and there is a chance that some on-planet could perhaps survived, even if very, very few.

So where do these survivors go once there planet is turned uninhabitable for them?

Are they on their own or do the Galactic Council help with reallocation/refugee camps or something like that? Do they band together even, survivors of these genocides becoming an intergalactic community themselves?

Also, now that the war is over and worlds aren’t getting shiny-fied anymore, are these guys going to want compensation?

I mean, Optimus Prime has been trying to make it up to Earth for what happened to them, but what about these guys? What happened to Earth still needs to be addressed and reparations made for of course, but it’s not the only or worst planet hurt by the war.

The fact it’s still even habitable speaks for itself in that!

If these survivors of decepticon occupation were to demand compensation from transformers they’d be fully in their rights to.

Now, it does bear mentioning that not all encounters between species during the war have been strictly hostile.

Some species also had more “mixed” encounters shall we say. Like that incident on Mir. Positive and negative representation I guess there? It never escalated much so opinion likely wouldn’t have been staunchly negative of the guys (although I do suspect Scorponok went back there some point but that’s a different topic).

There’s also how folks like Swindle would trade technology with some species and there have been dotted cases of scientists from Cybertron and a different species interacting for joint experiments.

Ethical? No. At least, not any of the examples we’ve seen so far.

But not the same level of bad that we’re talking about above and that might have tipped at least some guys’ opinions more towards the positive. Guys such as scientists, warriors and those in the black market who found such arrangements beneficial.

Post-war, with their being less risk, could any of them be interested in trying to mash technologies together again?

Then there’s also what Skids addresses here:

“I persuade other races to support the Autobot Cause”

This is a pretty big thing to just throw in there!

How did it go?!

The way it’s phrased gives off the impression at least some were successfully roped in.

What other races? How did it go for them, are they okay? How did they contribute? How did you do it Skids? How did you convince them to be Team Autobot? Promising them things? Saying it would be bad if they didn’t help? The power of friendship?

Where are they now, now that the Autobots have won the war? They still team Autobot? Are they going to want to try re-establish a friendly relationship with Cybertron forces? Are there interspecies friendships still being maintained that resulted from these alliances?

That statement provides a lot of questions.

There’s also the more individual scale we have to address too.

Like this here:

I mentioned earlier a Camien space craft being shot down in territory of the Solstar Order. The sole survivor of that was a protoform who would become Stardrive, seen here with her teacher who I also suspect to have essentially been her Guardian.

In here, through what is essentially an “interspecies adoption”, we see an example of a transformers fully immersed in another alien culture, one Stardrive in fact grew up in and new nothing else but for several years.

Which is also a fascinating concept in and of itself.

How would a transformers turn out growing up in a non-transformers culture?

It very clearly had an effect on Stardrive, who wound up identifying much more with the organic dominated Solstar culture her guardian raised her in as opposed to any mechanical one she belongs to by birth. Although it also had a very detrimental effect on her self-opinion too.

The question would also be quite intriguing flipped too.

An alien growing up on a planet with influences from transformers, which in a way I guess technically could count a bit more for Earth now, it being made a colony world.

Seeing how these different cultures intersect is something I think would be great to see explored more. I genuinely think it would provide more insight to cybertronian culture too, getting to see in what ways it clashes or is even similar to others.

Now, the last things I’d like to try address in this post are some misc post-war things, that didn’t really fit anywhere else:

First off, the Lost Light while not engaged in disaster after disaster have been helping out other races, organic ones included such as the Milarians here:

“It’s already made the galactic bulletin”

So they’re gaining some positive PR. Doing good deeds instead of wrecking things. The Milarians certainly seem to love them for that, despite the fact their planet is almost certainly in either Galactic Council territory or very near it, which would usually suggest quite a different opinion.

Which is nice to see!

Then there’s this little matter here:

Soundwave here, to provide context and put it mildly, is very unhappy with the general approach the Space Knights have to Dire Wraiths. That being kill on sight.

He wants something done about it then and there, the only reason he holds off being because as there is a more immediate threat going on. Which is also strongly implied to be the reason OP is not wanting the matter pushed further too.

I would definitely like to see the Dire Wraiths, the in-verse termed “biological transformers” interact with these guys more.

We’ve seen it in passing. Along with hostile interactions, there’s been the more positive too: interspecies Crankcase/Cons4eva boyfriends and a handful of other friendly members popping up too.

But there’s the matter that Soundwave addressed above, as well as why it’s only a handful of friendly members seen.

The Wraiths have a strict hierarchy. From what I know of it, there’s sub-groups and all sorts but I’ll put it as simply as I can: Sorcerer -> Soldier. The powerful magic users and the brutes.

The soldiers are very much treated and viewed as disposables by the sorcerers, something directly stated in the Rom vs Transformers series. Their being the bosses is in fact enforced as a divine rite too, the soldiers referring to them as “Your Holiness”.

Those who do disagree with them and the way things are done cannot afford to stick around. Simple as. The Sorcerers have the ability to “break” people from within so that or being killed is likely what happens. Conformity is priority.

It's telling that all the nice ones are either hiding or in Cons4eva’s case, legitimately being in such despair about his differences he initially wants to hop dimensions.

Now, I do feel that transformers should have something to say about an enforced caste system.

So yes. With all this in mind, I would definitely think it fascinating to see these guys interact more!

Even Cons4eva and Crankcase touching upon these commonalities more would be great.

Side question too about these wraiths: We’ve seen at least one is capable of passing himself of as a cybertronian, even if his choice in which one to mimic resulted in that going poorly. The general rule is that most wraiths seem to be technophobes because of the Xetaxxis incident, but are there any others who are doing just that?

Just...hanging with some transformers. Pretending to totally be a transformer too.

So yes! Point of all of this long rambling thing is: there really is a lot of potential for interesting interspecies interaction.

Which is why I can honestly say is I’m a big fan of it when it does happen and would genuinely love to get to see more!

TransformFriday

Okay, this is an idea that I've been meditating for a long time but I think now is the perfect time to carry it out. Because my favorite comic book (Transformers MTMTE-LL) will soon come to an end, I have decided to carry out this idea: my own Top Ten of favorite transformers... drawing version! The truth is that the end of MTMTE and LL generates me many mixed emotions: on the one hand I am happy because at last I will be able to know the end of the story and I will not observe how my favorite series becomes the next infinitetale (I will not say names ... but we all know who they are ...) but on the other hand I'm so sad about it. This is a story that has marked me and I know that when the comic ends I will no longer be the same person as before. This (at least for me) is a special moment, comparable to when Inuyasha, Death Note and Evangelion ended. I remember fondly when I started reading it: back then I still had the hype of transformers prime and I was looking for more things about it and then a friend in a forum recommended Transformers More Than Meets the Eye and I started reading it (specifically I got it in chapter 18, the house of ambus) and I was speechless with what I found. All the characters were so similar and at the same time so different from everything I already knew. I remember how I was surprised by the lore and all the mythology that had been assembling around the transformable robots and seeing how a world was created so unique and credible with such a cliche premise and yet I fell completely in love with it. I hallucinated with neurosurgery and empurata, I loved how action and psychology were balanced in about 20 pages in such a harmonious way, and the characters ... my god, the characters! I love how James Roberts takes you by the hand and makes you walk the halls of lost light with his characters, I remember being so sad with Tailgate's disease, getting excited about the battle between cyclones and Starsaber, to love and hate the same time to Tarn for his personality, to be moved for the scavengers, the evolution of rodimus and Megatron. For my Transformers it has not been another series of my childhood. James Roberts and Alex Minle have taught me what someone can do with dedication, hard work and a lot of imagination and their comics are not an empty reading. Thanks to this story I have learned so many important lessons from life and myself, I have come to learn how strong and courageous I can be. Thanks to MTMTE I was encouraged to write and draw my first comic, I learned that the hardest It is forgiveness to yourself, I have learned that it is not bad to ask for help and how powerful teamwork is, thanks to TMTMTE I wrote my degree thesis ... My God I can say it, Thanks to Transformers I got graduated! And finally, thanks to MTMTE transformers I still find the strength to continue doing what I like, which is to draw. That's why I decided to celebrate these last months of Transformers drawing my ten favorite characters and of course explaining why every Friday (of course the position 1 and 2 already know them, I'll leave you below the links if you're interested) because the end of this wonderful saga will also mark the end of a stage of my life and is that the truth, without TMTMTE I would be a completely different person and that is why it is and always will be one of my favorite series.

Top Ten

1.-Prowl

If you have read any of the wreckers comics then you know that Prowl is a bastard. He is not a noble, kind, or honest hero, I can not even call him good. Actually Prowl is a villain who "fortunately" plays for the good side. If I had to define Prowl in a word that would be hate. He hates the decepticons, he hates the new cybertron, he hates his leader/friends for not listening him, even I think that sometimes he hates himself, his life and especially his failures and that's why I love it. I love the contradiction and the final message of Prowl: hatred has turned him into what he most detests. Ironically, Prowl is more decepticon than many cons and at the same time that hate is the fuel that drives him to improve every new plan and fight for a future and a peace that may get to destroy him. He is cruel, manipulative and ruthless but also has moments of weakness and even compassion ................. although he is still a bastard and has not been able to overcome his ex-boyfriend. I love Prowl because he is not a character, he is a person, he is very real and very human and the world and his own decisions have made him into what he is today.

2.- Starscream

Leaving megatron aside, my favorite decepticon is Starscream. Either in comics or in the animated series Screamer always amuses me and always manages to make me smile ... basically because I love to see him fail in everything he does. I do not joke, either bad luck or his own ambition always make him fail. If Prowl is hatred, Starscream is ambition. he reminds me a little the homuncle of FMAB Greed, he wants it all, power, wealth, fame, fear, respect and especially the decepticon leadership.

He knows he is the best option to be the leader of the decepticons and he is an incredibly ruthless person who does not hesitate to lie, murder and manipulate everyone to meet their own whims but like Prowl Star is much more than just ambition. I'm not going to say that he's not so bad or he can redeem himself or some stupidity of the style (I really hate that) but Starscream has a reason to be like that. He is an incredibly lonely person who has struggled to survive before, during and after the war. He has learned that he can not count on anyone because sooner or later they will betray him and that is why he only sees the people around him as pawns. He's logic: if you do not approach or attach to anyone they can not betray you. deep down he knows that sooner or later his bad deeds will overtake him and he must prepare himself.

And yet Starscrean has virtues as great as his flaws: he is incredibly determined and hardworking, when he wants something he does not skimp on resources, time or effort in getting it, he is extremely intelligent (probably not as much as Prowl but he is a force to have in account) and he always learns from his mistakes. I would say that's why he has had such a long reign in comics and even has moments of humanity and genuine compassion. Maybe he really wants to redeem himself ... but he knows that he is beyond all salvation and that for him it is too late.

3.-Cyclonus

The truth is that this is a character that I find it hard to talk about, basically because he is someone I love so much and I identify so much that I block myself.

I will start strong: Cyclonus is my perfect waifu, he is a revision to the classic stereotype of the solitary warrior and constantly reminds us that every age, however dark or terrible it may have been, created beauty. Fuck, Cyclonus loves any form of art: music, writing, architecture and also he is a killing machine that can slice just about anyone, what else could you ask for? And in spite of him being so cultured he has a huge darkness inside him, of course Cy is fully aware of that and always tries to channel it ... with mixed results.

But the truth is that the feature with which I most identify with cyclonus is his sense of honor and loyalty, that is something that resonates a lot with me. The moment that I see Cyclonus is willing to do him on the side in order to ensure the happiness of the person he loves the most is something that makes my throat tighten. Besides that his relationship with Tailgate is the best yaoi I've read, let's be honest and he has the best sentence ever written. you want to know? You will have to read the comic because the spoiler is not from God.

4.- Megatron

Of course Megsi was to be in my topten, he is almost a god in my pantheon (sorry optimus). I love all the incarnations of Megatron except for the transformers prime novel (seriously, a revolutionary who hates the primes but he wants to be a prime …. what the hell?) But my favorite so far is the IDW Megatron , he is a very complex character that goes through different stages: fallen, self-discovery, acceptance, temptation, redemption … all a carousel of emotions. He pass from being a ruthless murderer to a pacifist in constant conflict with himself. Although my favorite aspect about megatron is its moral: we all deserve a second chance … but redeption is not as easy as bowing your head and apologizing. Throughout MTMTE and LL Megs works every minute of his life to redeem his mistakes even when he knows they are too big and as he advances towards his death he knows perfectly well that there is a possibility that no one will forgive him but that does not stop him. Megatron words always resonate strongly within me: We are all work in progress.

5.- RungMy second perfect waifu and a cinnamon roll too pure for this world. Rung is the most adorable autobot ever drawn … until he takes off his glasses and becomes the greatest latinlover ever created. But leaving aside my inclination for robots, Rung is an incredible character, I know that many joke about the theory which says that Rung is the self-inception of Roberts, but I think that rather Rung is the connection with the reader. He is a character that has been kept at bay from most problems by having a very convenient good luck, he is skinny, short, lovable, sometimes too much kind and he prefers conversation rather than confrontation but he is not weak On the contrary, Rung has incredible mental and emotional strength. he has not only endured that everyone, absolutely ALL mispronounce his name at least once, Rung listens to the problems and confessions of others around him to make a living; he literally knows the worst of all, he knows the darkness that dwells within each of his companions … and that never stops him from helping or comforting others. If I had to define the role of Rung in some archetype that would be the maternal one. Of course there are parents in fiction who are loving and protective, but the mother figure always ends up being kinder, the comforter and the one that drives you to improve and that is precisely the raxon for which I love Rung.I have met many maternal characters but what makes the difference with Rung (besides being male) is the moment in which (spoiler alert) during the kidnapping of Fortress Maximus, Rewind reproduces a part of the torture in Garrus 9 and Max, realizing that he is doing exactly the same as Overlord and reliving those horrible memories, he throws himself to the ground to mourn and Rung, with a patience of a saint, despite the kidnapping and even though Max had yanked his thumb out… he surrounds him with a kind arm and tells him that everything will be fine and everything ends for today. That’s something my mother could have done.Because deep down Rung is that, he is kindness and he teaches us the strength found in compassion and as the functionalist universe demonstrates, Rung possesses incredible strength of character and determination and he is capable of giving his life to save those who he care … and that’s a large number of people.

Yes! The inbox is open finally! May I please have TFP Megatron, Soundwave and Knock Out reacting to their female human s/o being accidentally injured by an Autobot when the bots invaded the Nemesis? They tried to subdue her (Autobots don’t intentionally harm humans at all.) when she actually forced them to retreat against them by using miniature Energon blasters and amazing athletic skills? She’s not too badly injured, but she can’t do her duties at all and on strict bed rest.

((A/N - Ah, sorry for taking so long witht his, and it’s so late but I promised I would get it done before I went to bed!))

Megatron

-Your life has changed in such a big and positive way since you were brought on as a kind of activities coordinator on The Nemesis as a way to actively work with Megatron and his Decepticons to show your gratitude for when they decided you were worthy enough to be picked you up from the proverbial gutter you were in when you hit a pretty bad low in your life. It was something that you will always be grateful for when it came to these bots and their cause that they fight for with their whole beings, you would gladly lay down your life for Megatron for what he has done for you, and you were pretty confident that he too would do anything for you in turn. It was a mutually beneficial relationship that both parties enjoyed being a part of, which is why you had a certain sense of security when it came to you being able to dictate certain projects that were being developed on the ship. You didn’t have to worry about insubordination and you rarely had to worry about making mistakes- you were an asset to the Decepticons and a close personal relation to Megatron, none dare mess with you as they are barely able to make eye contact with you as they fear the wrath of their great leader. It was why that when your day was interrupted by a loud crash and gunfire that that day’s events was still such a surprise to you- everyone was taken aback by the noses and the confusion that they all became so frantic and wild while you tried very hard to maintain a certain air of calm and collected personality during the whole ordeal. When the news hit your side of the ship that the Autobots launched a raid attack without any warnings or signs that they would launch an aggressive attack it cause so much chaos before the Autobots even found themselves in your neck of the woods. It cause you all to be unprepared for the onslaught of blaster fire as you noticed the Vehicons were falling left and right to the Autobot Arcee who had laser precision when it came to using her blasters, but you liked to believe you were just a good a shot as she was, and as you managed to nick her in the shoulders a few times with your own blaster it really hit you that maybe your aim wasn’t as good as you thought it was. It was a pretty powerful little weapon that you were wielding, it was a side project ordered by Megatron and developed by Soundwave just for to use in case of emergencies like this, it was a weapon unlike anything that humans have ever developed before- it was a mix of Cybertronian technology that was beyond your comprehension mixed with the shell of an old discarded Human pistol that someone thought was to much trouble to estore and was a piece of junk, but the joke is on them as this really was that old cliche tale of this item being a treasure in disguise. The weapon was strong enough to make Arcee leak energon and pierce through her hard outer armor, which made you smile in a weird and twisted way- you liked being helpful to the cause this way as you were never able to fight physically before since everyone saw you as nothing more than just a squishy little human who pleased their master. You didn’t notice it at first as you were to busy trying to incapacitate the Autobot warrior, but the smell of singed flesh hit you like a ton of bricks as you became light headed and hyper aware of how much pain a little laser shot can have on your leg. You quickly deduced that a shot you fired must have ricochet off of a metal beam inside the room you were in because not only did most of your shots miss terribly when you tried to aim at Arcee, when you looked down at your now exposed leg you saw a terrible burn that left you a little sick to your stomach as the smell was unlike anything else you have experienced. It was a sickly sweet scent that almost smelled good in a disgusting way, your skin was seared and black as it looked like a bad piece of overcooked chicken- you almost passed out when it finally set in just what happened to you. You were hit by a shot of straight up hot searing liquid energon, and honestly, you were lucky enough to have even kept your leg at all as the blast coming directly from your weapon and not bouncing off the metal of this ship- well, it could have blown off your limb completely. Everyone else seems to have taken notice you got injured as well as it seemed that Arcee ceased fire as the last of the Vehicons fell next to you, and that look in her optic told you she was going to try to convert you to their side like a good little human- you couldn’t have that, and even though you were in immense pain you found a way to slunk past her and away from her pretentious “saving grace stare”. YOu didn’t need anyone to save you, Megatron has already done that, you don’t need some goody two shoes rule following band of Autobots telling you what to do all the time as you had it made in the shade working here on The Nemesis. You managed to crawl and dodge your way through the chaos that the Autobots prescens has caused in the hallways of this enclosed area and as you made your way all the way to the Medbay which was on the other side of the ship, you noticed so many dead Vehicons that the only thought running through your head was you needed a place where you knew you were going to at least be safe from any more damage until you can get some help to dress this searing wound on your leg.

-Megatron wasn’t happy to say the least when he found out you were injured so severely in the raid, and if you hadn’t have been there to calm him down from his unbridled rage, he would have gone wild with fury that surely some poor surviving Vehicon would have felt the brunt of unfairly- if not for you some poor unwilling Vehicon would have felt his wrath if they so much as looked at him the wrong way in the halls outside of the medbay. You had to tell him it was your fault you got injured, you misjudged the trajectory of your laser pistol and got hit with a rochotte bullet, it wasn’t an Autobot that hit you but you being unfamiliar with the technology and how to properly use it. It was very embarrassing to admit that you made such a big mistake when it was normally not in your nature to make such a big problem for yourself, but you knew how Megatron was, and he would absolutely seek out revenge if you had not put him on the right path as to what went wrong. Honesty was something that you treasured about your character and you weren’t too big to admit you made a nearly fatal mistake, but maybe this was the big eye opener you needed to remind you that this war was very real and that your life was always going to be in danger so long as you associate yourself with the Decepticons. He was still very upset, only now he was upset with you for not telling him sooner that you needed help with your newly developed weapon, surely you were smart enough to tell him that you did not know how to aim correctly or that you didn’t actually know how to hold a gun in your hands. Maybe this was his fault, maybe he was being to hard on you, and maybe he isn’t being a very good partner in allowing you the time and the opportunity to tell him how it was you are really feeling- it made him realise in an optic pening way that he was neglecting you, and he was going to carry that grief in his spark forever even after you leave this stressful physical life. It was then after that Megatron decided to place you on an “intense” training regimen after he has taken the time to research what it was that humans are capable of doing- and it sounded so exciting to you that he was willing to teach you what it was that he has learned about human combat and mix that in with what it was that he knew from his own time as being a fighter on his planet. He was willing to train you to not only be a better sbot, but to also be a better soldier so that you may serve him easier in scenarios like this should they ever occur again, it was too bad your injury has put you out for at least a month however as it was hard enough trying to walk and train your body to function normaly again. Your skin will need graphing and your muscles will need time to rest, you are also going to need a lot of physical therapy before you can even consider being trained as a proper soldier- it drove you nuts. You hated being treated like some sick and useless patient, and the way Megatron treated you as if you were made of glass or porcelain, well to say you were losing your patience was an understatement. There wasn’t anything anyone can do at this point however as you were already taking all the medications and applying all the creams you had to help yourself heal faster. You didn’t like being a burden on this ship though, and though your great leader can tell you time and again that you aren’t, you still feel completely useless. It was that tenacity that Megatron loved so much in you that made you the shining star that you were to him, he could go without the grumpy sass however, but he gets that you are feeling anxious about being out of commission for such a long time. He will do anything he can to make you feel like royalty and to ease whatever pains you were having while making sure you healed properly from the blast you took- it was amazing you were able to keep your leg at all as based on their experiments Cybertronian laser fire is strong enough to rip humans apart. Maybe your pistol was malfunctioning and it needed a boost- he will talk to Soundwave about that one.

Soundwave

-What started out as a normal day on the job for you turned out to be one of the most heart pounding and adrenaline rushing situation you have ever been in in your short and relatively safe life. One minute you were just compiling data on a computer console for SOundwave so that he can later study it and compile his own list of priorities of things he has to do later on, and the next you were ducked and covering on the ground while covering your head with your arms as laser blasters and gun fire was going off in the room around you. From what you could tell based off of the few things you can see from your fetal position on the console, some Autobots managed to infiltrate the ship and creep their way around in search of something they thought was important in the data compiling room. There was nothing here but mountains and mountains of information that was stolen from the internet as a way for Soundwave to keep tabs on what the humans and what they knew about Cybertronians and what their purpose on the planet was. You were probably the farthest thing from a fighter, but as the Vehicons were falling left and right around you succumbing to their wounds inflicted by this rouge Autobot, you had no choice but to either fight or run. You weren’t good at running either, so there was the only logical thing you can do which was to stand and fight for your life against this invader- but you know, you have to do what you have to do to survive even if that means you will get severely wounded in the process. You knew early on that this job was deadly and that you could easily be killed by some giant alien robots, so really you should know better than this, and that this isn’t something that is that big of a surprise. It was just a shock that you might be done in by an Autobot rather than being squished by a Decepticon or something- they were so soft and so weak that you were taken aback by the fact that one would even try and dare try to take you out. You didn’t know which Autobot this was, he was all grey with a tricolored accent color of green and red, but that didn’t matter as he just stared right through you as if you weren’t there standing there holding a small pistol in your hand while shakily pointing it upwards in his direction. He scoffed and told you that you were getting tangled up in the wrong crowd and that you should go back to the humans and get away from these Decepticon creeps, to which you just tutted back at him and told him it wasn’t any of his business as to why you were here and what you were doing on this ship. He shrugged and was about to leave the room when he was jumped by a stray Vehicon that must have been patrolling the area outside- and that was when things went sour in this small room. As the Autobot fell he grabbed a pile of exposed wires to try and catch himself from landing on the ground too hard, but those wires he grabbed were connected to loose screen that isn’t attached to the wall all the way yet as it was a low priority job, which caused a crazy chain reaction that you couldn’t even comprehend until you actually sat down and thought about it. The screen shattered as it hit the floor, which caused debris to go flying in every direction, which caused you to jump back to attempt to avoid getting hit by stray shards of broken glass- but this jump back caused you to fall off your console and land on the floor right on top of your arm. It didn’t feel good as you felt your body shutter straight to your bones as you let out a groan of pain, you heard a loud crack as you landed so it stands to reason in your mind that you must have broken your arm when your whole weight landed onto your arm when you fell from your position on top of the console. Oh, the pain was so very intense, as you couldn’t even grab your arm correctly as a way to try and steady the break from becoming more damaging by ripping up your muscle tissues apart. You have seen how bad a break can get when you don’t keep it steady as you used to like watching those strange medical shows on TV about how everyday injuries when left untreated can cause years and years of medical pain and trauma, you had to try really hard to hopefully isolate yourself from this situation and keep your arm steady until Soundwave has a chance to come find you to take you somewhere to get this taken care of properly. You managed to run away during the struggle between the Vehicon and the Autobot, but you had no idea what part of the ship was safe or where you can hold out until help arrived- so you did what you should have done in the first place and found a small corner to hold up in until the commotion stopped. Next time you will definitely just run and not bother with any kind of confrontation of the enemy- this was the one and only lesson you needed to drill this new information in to your brain and avoid any future injuries like this one.

-You must have passed out in your small crevasse of a hiding place in the hallways you found while slunking around trying to be as small as possible so no one will notice you, because when you opened your eyes you were face to face with Soundwave as he was gently assessing your wounds as you laid in his arms as comfortable as you could with the angel you were positioned in. He was being very careful with you as he poked at all parts of your body with his slim digis to check the severity of the wounds he already knows you have based off of his scans of your heart rate and blood pressure. You flinched and whined when he hit your arm where you landed on it and he pulled back suddenly as if you burned him as he wasn’t actually expecting you to be hurt that badly. Looking at it now, your arm was so red and swollen looking that it occurred to him that the skin was so inflamed to the point where ice compression would only make it numb a little to ease some of the pain, he knew what to do as he opened a groundbridge near one of the hospitals he knows will take you in without asking any questions and wont ID you for your personal information. It didn’t take long to treat you as it was not only relatively late in the night, and the ER was relatively empty because there wasn’t much activity going on beyond the normal hustle in the waiting rooms, but it gave you too much time to think about what happened to you and how to best logically avoid it beyond just running scared like a lost child. This all happened because you hesitated at the beginning and it hit you hard that you basically allowed for this Autobot to catch you by surprise when you should have been the one doing the surprising- after all he seemed genuinely curious as to why a human was aboard a Decepticon warship that you should have been able to take advantage of his shock that you were there. You told this to Sounwave who as usual listened to every word you said as if you were a preacher trying to save his life, after you explained that this whole thing left you feeling so weak and helpless he decided that you should know how to fight off other Cybertronians in case of emergencies like this. You were aboard a ship full of unstable and quirky Decepticons who could flip on a dime and kill you faster than any AUtobot could do so accidentally, and he is kicking himself for not taking action sooner in steps to ensure that you were always safe and protected when he cannot always be there to watch over you. He is actually so upset with himself he can feel his spark hammer at him in anger in his chest, because as much as he doesn’t want to admit it out loud that he won’t be there to protect you all the time from his enemies, because it is just a grim reminder that he is only one mech and he cannot both fight a war and be completely dedicated to you as both a partner and a lover. As soon as you are well again he will train you in major weak points most Cybertronians share amongst each other and where to take proper shots to incapacitate bots even bigger than he was, you took a shine to the idea quicker than he thought you would have and he just loved the smile on your face at the prospect of you being able to defend yourself. It was a god thing you were so self sufficient to the point that you were one of the only beings in the universe he trusted enough not to have to surveillance on 24/7 basis like he has to with everyone else who will no doubt betray him in the end. He could bask in your expressions forever, and be satisfied even in death knowing small gestures like this makes you happy. You were his treasure, and it was now that he promises to give you the tools to make sure nothing like this happens ever again.

Knockout

-You were on the precipice of another amazing breakthrough in your experiments to gain a better understanding of if it was possible to create a perfect fusion of unstoppable power using both human tissues and Cybertronian energon- together both an abundant source of materials that can create a truly amazing beign of both organic and inorganic prowess to create the most powerful beings in the universe, it was a way to weaponize not only yourself but other despertare humans that crave absolute power so that the Decepticons can have a way to boost their numbers and still get useful soldiers that won’t die right away from one blaster shot. You were pioneering a new super soldier that can serve under Megatron, but you don’t work for free, if you succeed you would become a leader in the new world order that is to come from the ever impending Decepticon victory. That can’t happen with all of this racket going on around your medbay however- it seems those Autobot snoops broke into the ship in order to gain some intel on the latest plans to obtain some powerful artifacts that can be useful in the war to devastate and destroy their forces for good, it wouldn’t have meant anything to you whether or not they stormed the ship and succeeded in what they set out to accomplish, if not for the fact that you were staring face to face with one of the intruders who is insisting on obtaining some kind of information from you that you didn’t really ahv, you never would have wasted your valuable time on this laughable attempt at the Autobots flexing their “power”. It was disruptive and you didn’t appreciate it, but really, there wasn’t much you could do about it as there was no way you can take out an Autobot on your own- maybe you can stall him until Knockout returns from whatever part of the ship he was on to make sure your experiments were ok. You had to admit that it was fun qiuping back and forth with this large dumb green Autobot, whom everytime he asked you a question you threw one right back at him to derail his train of thought. “Did the Decepticons kidnap you?” “Did the Autobots kidnap you?” “Where do they keep the artifacts?!” “Where do you keep your artifacts?”. It just went on and on like that until that big green Autobot was pushed into the room by Knockout who took to much joy in landing a harsh blow on his enemy from behind. That caused the big bot to go tumbling down without much grace, and with him going down his blaster accidentally fired off and unfortunately hit you square in the side right under your chest. You screamed out as you fell to the floor in agony as you can feel nothing but a white hot pain, being able to hear the searing of your flesh and being able to smell the sickly sweet scent of you being cooked alive made you gag as you tried to not let this mornings breakfast come back up to just be another burden on top of everything else that was going on. Knockout didn’t like that at all as he screamed out the green Autobots name in anger as he in turn stuttered and threw his arms up in defeat ands insisted that it was an accident and that he never meant to hurt you, but Knockout didn’t listen as he grabbed his taser pole and just let loose onto the big green mech with all the power he could muster from the half broken weapon that he never got around to fixing. The charge was apparently enough to put the big bot out as he went limp on the floor after letting out a loud yell of pain as his frame convulsed with all the extra electricity that was being pumped into it. This went on for quite some time as you can feel the world becoming fuzzy around you as the whole world began to sound like you were about to be submerged underwater, it wasn’t until the big boss bot known as Optimus Prime came and all but snatched up the now unconscious green mech with ease while he and the others were fleeing to some unknown part of the ship.

-Knockout would have followed them in his blinding fury, but he had more important things to worry about which called his attention more than this, between making sure you weren’t going to die from taking a direct blast of molten hot energon to checking on all the sensitive experiments he had going on in the lab well- he regrets he didn’t kill Bulkhead while he had the chance, there will be another time for planning the big green morons demise however, as for now he stripped off you shirt rather harshly as the fabric almost all but embedded itself into your skin and while he proceeded to scan and examine what the best course of action was for your health he noticed you lost consciousness a long time ago as you didn’t even let out a whine as he poked and prodded at your sensitive and swollen flesh. It was going to be a long recovery period that much he could tell as human skin was not protected from burns the same way Cybertronian metal frames were, your skin had to be scraped off and treated for infection while new parts were graphed on to fill in the wound that was seared into your skin. You were so high on pain meds at first that it didn��t bother you that you were shirking off your duties and experiments, but you soon realised how wasteful it was for you to just lay about while there was work to be done and breakthrough to be had. You wanted nothing more than to be able to just go back to work and to stop having Knockout dote on you as if you were some kind of child who needed a parent around to function as a normal. You were more than capable of doing things without him feeling obligated to be over your shoulder all the time while attempting to make sure nothing else bad was ever going to happen to you. You knew he was trying to be sincere and caring, it was because of his anxieties about losing Breakdown that he can become a little overbearing when it came to your own wellbeing and health. You understood he blames himself for what happened because he was not there to protect you from the blast, and he fully believes that all the pain you are having to go through with your medication and skin stuff that he feels like he has this obligation to baby you in any way he can. It was nice knowing how much he genuinely cared about you, but really, it just shows you how fearful he is of losing another loved one to such a devastating war. It was in moments like these where Knockout was livid because he couldn’t get the lab’s temperature to be cool enough for you that you to “adequately heal and be well” that you had to gently remind him that you weren’t going anywhere and that you will always be there for him until the day that you die. It was in moments like this where you gripped at his clawed servos that you also forgot how frustrated you were about being bedridden and just wanted nothing more than to bask in the presence of such a caring and passionate mech.
