Swings by with another stray tumblr update! Something I finished months ago in May -- this art of Bastet was meant to be something 'quick' (lol--) to practice the style I used for my Artfight 2024 Attacks. But I also drew it because the kitty goddess had been overdue for more up-to-date artwork to use for her profiles.
I’m currently more active on my Bluesky account, and updating the project site gradually. In fact, I’ve just finished archiving the first 100 askbox responses there, with more on the way for those feeling nostalgic. Otherwise, I’ll continue to update the project blog on tumblr when I can, thank you all for sticking around!

#artists on tumblr#art#illustration#digital art#digital drawing#dnd#dungeons and dragons#homebrew#original art#my art#my ocs#Setting: Heim#I drew these a couple of years ago now i think#but since i'm drawing stuff for this setting again i'm reuploading with updated information cause the last one is outdated#I will say right off the bat however#If you compare my designs to already existing IPs i will block you on sight#the last time i posted these they got compared to a piece of media i really dislike#and that comment alone made me fall out of love with this setting for almost two years#so please. do not. it's rude and unnecessary#These are the artefacts my setting and its story is largely centered around#Tethry is credited with creating them (Even though he didn't)#They were gifted by Tethry to each of the largest cities in the world to serve as power generators supplying arcane power to the whole city#immediately pushing the four sister cities into prosperity and progress. leaving literally everyone else in the dust#which caused some understandable tension between countries that already had a bit of a strained relationship to begin with#There is SO MUCH to these little trinkets and their link to Tethry and how finding them essentially fucked up his whole entire life#You'd think becoming the world's most renowned arcanist would be the best thing that ever happened to an aspiring caster#but to some poor dude just trying to study arcane language. stumbling across the magical equivalent of the demon core#was very much not on his wishlist#especially not dealing with the consequences of trying to make sure no one actually realises how nasty they have the potential to be#which. someone inevitably does

#THIS IS VAL !!!! dubbed her as a he/she er..#I have lore about this guy and his homeplanet Amore and the Lovebugs..#all that’s really important to know is that ive based the worldbuilding for Amore around svtfoe’s mewni#design wise mostly. I’ll emphasize.#in terms of the societal parts of Amore the kingdom kinda flourishes in the arts of all sorts and trade within the kingdom it goes crazay…#they were pretty closed off from the rest of the galaxy though. like their tech and stuff is pretty outdated compared to most of the other-#planets with atleast escape ships and all that fun stuff.#foreshadowing#ANYHOW lovebugs are silly guys I think of them as like weird hedonistic freaks of sorts#they have very big dionysus worshipping energy to them just to give a perspective#and of course they prioritized relationships and the different forms of love#romance actually wasn’t even the big thing that built the kingdom#it was more like a love for community and friends#which is also kinda silly because of the monarchy aspect to Amore and all that#OH ALSO these guys go absolutely crazy with fashion and makeup. gender isn’t a major thing in the kingdom in my eyes#you WILL serve cunt!! /silly#WORLDBUILDING ASIDEEE Val was the prince to the kingdom and was set to be the heir to the throne#the designs are like three different route ideas ive had for Val#the first is just a baseline design so like. pre amore‘s destruction from dominator#the second is like a good ending design of sorts to my ideal lineup for a season three for woy with val continuing to embrace the lovebugs-#history and culture even with Amore gone and a good portion of her people#and the third. is a bit hard to describe because it’s more of an au but it’s just a concept idea I had of Val teaming up with Dom#(it would be short lived like probably a few months max so dw)#and silly note i joked about the idea of val being an ex to peepers BUT I WANNA DEVELOP THAT MORE BEFORE I SHARE.#tap into that this may be cringe but i am free mindset or something slash silly TEEHEE#BUT YEAH Val’s just a silly gal in my heart and soul no matter what. ive missed her a lot i wanna work on fics with him and especially to-#develop more stuff for Amore and the Lovebugs before Dominator’s destruction of the planet#BUT YEAH i wanna Val post more. go into depth for their dynamic with the other characters and all that#I may cook some more stuff with him once I get these stargazing fics all set and whatnot SO WE’LL SEE!#also /nf but if anyone would wanna ask questions about val/amore/lovebugs ask away I’d love to answer any questions! 🥺

finished watching red dwarf, good shit. i think my favourite series was the earlier series, didn't really care for series 7 (the "blue" ep good though) and 8 sadly.
10, 11, 12 were more enjoyable than i expected, though some eps were hit or miss and some ideas got reused (which is fair i suppose). liked the promised land, but the pacing was a bit weird, feel like more coulda happened.
#red dwarf#really liked the cassette futurism the earlier seasons had#kinda missed it when i got to series 3#but you couldn't really do much if they all just. stayed on red dwarf#so its understandable#rimmer and lister got something going on though. and its not straight#CALLING EACH OTHER THEIR SUN AND MOON LIKE?#also i will say this show a bit outdated in some things so keep that in mind if u wannna watch

I’ve been wanting to experiment with noses more for a while, so I finally sat down and forced myself to doodle some concepts.
#keese draws#oc posting#oc art#oc#ocs#eternal gales#band posting#<- technically since yori and kou are here lol#I’ll still need to mess around a bit more#but I think I’m liking this direction in style change#mostly because I’ve noticed I rly struggle with portraying the noses I want for some of my characters#mase in particular was the character that made me most realize I need to work on noses more#also yes I did draw his hair a bit differently mostly since I feel like the top bit of his hair fit poorly with the rest#his hair was always meant to be very loosely tied so it looking so short/pulled back doesn’t make#much sense to me#so idk I might be redesigning him very lightly?#either way he is soooo due for a new ref along with aris so I might do those soon#after those two I think most of the human kids will have updated refs?#well ok I guess with nose style change a lot of refs will be outdated again but shhhhh#oh wait the snake triplets need a new ref too I forgot#oh and for other human characters momoko also needs a new ref#yuriko and kou could also use them a lil bit but they don’t super need the

Hot bug spring (we cannot leave our bed for Agonies Reasons so we're lying down with iSaT and hot chocolate to do Absolutely Fucking Nothing for the forseeable future)

i can confirm thanatos very much had influence when it comes to death AND grim tbh. since like. his design's based on death, fragment of the real manifestion yadda yadda jskags but yeah, thanatos and shin godzilla were the main influences here, with a few dinosaur details mixed in 🫡

Ok I reaaaaally really really need to stop reading so much fanfic. I read another 30k ish fic this morning and it was SO GOOD but I keep squeezing my brain thru binge reading (bc I can never read things in moderation I guess) and it is leaving no room for writing brain
Vaguely tempted to go back over ITNL for edits tho. Especially the first chapter. Since I'm gonna need to reread it anyways to get back into it, it'd be nice if I could smooth some things out with it...

#speculation nation#itnl shit#my brain's also been fizzing like a live wire for days now and it's making creative pursuits hard#& i keep getting that latent embarrassment over previous writing.#mostly for Sentido but ITNL is not exempt. but i think combing thru it would help me#no major edits. story and scenes overall the same#but i might try to add little bits here and there. edit little bits. ya kno. smoothness edits.#i did fix the ark problem (where i accidentally was putting 'arc' instead of 'ark' thru the WHOLE FIC...😭)#but there might be smaller issues here and there#also kinda wanna smooth out the Chica behavior. when she was first introduced i wasnt expecting her to become so important#so i barely paid her mind. then fleshed her out as time went on#i wanna maybe try to make her earlier appearances match more with her later appearances#stuff like that. smoothness edits!#and also the first like 10 chapters were written in a month or so and theres been so much more time between recent chapters#the older chapters are feeling outdated. it's making it harder to get back into it.#obsessively combing thru my own work and making improvements may seem like a waste of time to some#but if it will stop the latent embarrassment from chewing on my brain so much then itll be worth it#ill probably start tomorrow. i have to go to work soon :pg

Pets can be destructive, and kids can sometimes be well behaved, but my cat can’t make flamethrowers in the backyard and bite door handles so idk
#emma posts#we might have just been weird kids#maybe iPads lead to less flamethrowers#or more#I would actually like to know now#until I was 14 or 15 all we had was the family computer and for a long time all we cared about on it was#the outdated version of kidpix my mom got because she’s a teacher and they were getting rid of the ones they were replacing#we did have some educational games though#and then YouTube was a thing and then I got a drawing tablet and then smartphone#not in rapid succession#it was one specific door handle. It was some weird metal with a gold paint over it and the paint would crunch when I bit it#all the other doors had metal handles and they were used more often#the stuff I bit was kinda weirdly inconsistent#I wouldn’t bite my dolls but there was this one specific tv remote#I think I only ever chewed on one plastic toy after teething and that’s because it was hollow so it was like those koolaid bottles#otherwise I was affronted at the idea of intentionally damaging my toys like that#door handles we apparently free game I guess#‘I could never chew on my Barbies or let anyone else do it!’ munches on this one Christmas decoration#I would sometimes carry stuffed animals in my mouth like a cat though#but only small ones#beanie babies mostly#the last thing I remember my cat messing up was a charging cable#though he doesn’t like other cords. only charging cables#which is better than the tv cord I guess
