It takes a minute for her to find her voice—she doesn’t normally talk during these, doesn’t pay attention to the real world, isn’t used to the mechanics of it—but he eventually receives a soft, “…Yes.” He sounds far away, almost like he’s under water, but Max can hear him. It’s hard to pay attention to what he’s saying, though, when so much else is going on before her glazed-over eyes.

She’s lost in a vision, the scene before her so very different from her living room. She blinks slowly, otherwise unmoving from where she stands. Water and broken glass surround bare feet, two glasses having slipped from her fingers when the vision caught her off guard on her way back to the sofa—she’ll probably have a few cuts, they might even already hurt, but she doesn’t notice the pain quite yet.

Because she’s not really here with him anymore. Doesn’t know where she is, or who (or what) she’s looking at, has absolutely no context as to what’s going on. Might not ever actually manage to figure it out, either.

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

Minovae: Mino is a woman always in movement, whether fidgeting, tapping, pacing, or (the most common) tail movement! Her armor makes her kind of noisy if she is really moving around, so, as most ganzi do, her tail is quite expressive and often speaks her mind for her, even if she doesn't really want it to. Happiness is swaying like a contented cat. Agitation is a rattle at the tip like a snake. Shock has her feathers all bristling and standing on it. Thrashing about for excitement and rage both...

Stillness, though. That's bad. ESPECIALLY if her tail is still, lying on the ground as if deflated... she's in a bad spot. We're talking actual depressive or despair or sorrow, because a dead tail means dead spirits.

Morolai: Claw ticking! Moro can't help but click her claws either against her throne's armrests or against each other. She doesn't otherwise fidget all that much, and even her claw action is a calculated threat, hehe.

day: What does your OC wear on a normal day? Why do they default to those clothes? Do they wear similar things, or do they change it up?

Minovae: Mino is almost always in her armor. She's a Hellknight, that's just what they do. When she's not, though, she wears surprisingly feminine clothing in delicate colors. She grew up beneath the shadows of the Wiscrani aristocracy, seeing those fancy ladies in all their lace and frills and finery. Sad orphan she was, she couldn't help but soothe herself to sleep imagining what it'd be like to wear something nice, that could hide her scales and feathers and tail...

As an adult, she has no desire to hide her ganzi features anymore, but she does indulge in a spot of lace and delicate fabric! What she wears is still quite comfortable and practical, but with some ribbons and feminine accents as a minor indulgence. A gift to the child that no one came for.

Morolai: This queen has an entire room dedicated to just her wardrobe, and she is always commissioning new outfits and pieces to add to her collection. She prefers dark colors with sharp profiles and cutouts that accentuate her own natural features. Practical? No. Elegant and sexy and classy as hell? You bet. She won't be caught dead wearing anything that isn't flattering on her, or something someone has already worn before. Hell, she probably won't even wear the same outfit more than once unless it's to make a point!

Morolai: CEO and owner of a fashion empire, and fashion model while we're at it. She is a genius and visionary in her designs. She models them herself. She is cutthroat and lethal in the competition. She will insult people to their face saying they don't deserve to wear her brand. I'm talking if Gisele Bündchen founded and controlled Prada and Versace and Armani combined.

This isn't gaudy tacky "accessible" high-fashion like LV or Chanel. This is the subtle true wealth vs 'rich' brand. Her label isn't blazoned across the front of her products, it's stitched into the seam and has only a few immediate-tell markers. This is "if you recognize it you're part of the club" type of fashion.

It's the darkest of colors. It's outlandish but also stylish. It's elegant but slutty as fuck.

How do you get more engagement on your stories and writing prompts etc? I'm starting to think I'm just not good enough

As in friends and readers, I don’t really count them as the days go by, because if I live that way I will only stress myself, I just post what I want when I want. It is mostly in the tags if you use the right tags you will start being seen, from there you will slowly gather regular Friends and Readers (We don’t use the word Followers on this blog it's such a bad word you all mean so much more to me than that).

I have a story I started that no one has liked or followed, I will still write it when I have time (I have to finish my others first the order will be: quarantine, femme, ghost chim, 365 & Seoulmates are ongoing) and as I always say if no one reads it well, I don’t mind it still makes me happy to write.

I believe not every story is for everyone, but I also believe that the right readers will come to you, you just have to tag correctly. It took me 4 months before I reached perhaps 200-300 friends. I remember writing so much when I started I actually put my back out and was on bed rest for days and had to go to the chiropractor to put my spine back in the right place.

Some people reblog their own work and I never use to but every now and again I will reblog something I truly love, or my master list when it grows considerably since the time I posted it.

My favorite story I have ever written is: Limited Edition it is only 800 words and I want to extend it into a whole story. Nobody seems to want it but I am going to anyway because It will make me happy.

I think if you are anyone of my friends who has ever asked me to read their work I can guarantee I am jealous of all my online friend's skills. They are visionaries and poets and well-articulated.

I have my days where I get upset why has no one liked this, but I keep telling myself that at the end of the day I enjoyed writing and that’s what matters most to me. Second to that is that my readers and friends enjoy themselves whilst exploring my blog.

Like Suga who makes a song every day I write at least one story a day, I have finished today’s chapter and I am working on bts ask stories, 365 prompts, and when I have done as much as I can do, I will lay in my bed and continue writing the stories I have on my ancient first generation ipod touch. Writing for me never stops, because I myself need to know how the stories end.

how strictly do you follow canon?  — closely, especially if we’re referring to general outline of Bleach lore and making my headcanons / metas fit in its scheme. i follow canon events but I’m not opposed to exploring aus (i have a few in mind that i definitely wanna write down);  i try to stay true to aizen’s personality and psychology at the best of my capabilities, but all of us are bound to look at a character through our own distorted lenses,  so i’ve kinda made peace with the fact that my interpretation of him might have strayed from his original portrayal by the author.  still, i hope whatever i add of mine contributes to enriching aizen as a character, rather than just twisting him into a fan version. i am only adamant about all my stuff fitting in and making sense to the complex landscape of the bleach universe, and yes, i can be strict about that.

SELL YOUR MUSE ! aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  —  oh worm? aizen is a visionary. he makes you see the things no one would notice, makes you doubt what you’d otherwise take as granted, makes you (the reader, but also the character he interacts with) reconsider every truth.  he provides conflict and mystery, which are the core of adventure, and he’s a multi-layered, polymorphic character you never stop learning about and from. aizen, as a character, takes and takes - but he also has the potential to give endlessly. i realize this is a weird rambling but i could fill essays on why aizen is spicy ... i mean, sometimes bleach does fit into the dystopic genre, and aizen is the key to understanding most dynamics of the bleach universe. if you rp a bleach character, especially, it comes without saying interacting with aizen is always a good chance at character development.

now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  —  i’m biased but i don’t think aizen is ever uninteresting.  if anything, sometimes interactions can feel stagnant because he’s extremely secretive, and also because he’s on a wildly different level than most ... idk, lieutenant-level (or lower) muses around.  it’s not just strength that can act as a barrier, though; disinterest on either ends of an interaction can be a tough obstacle. aizen doesn’t really make small-talk, interacting with him requires commitment.

what inspired you to rp your muse?  —  i don’t really remember anymore. i started bleach because i was curious to learn more about aizen, and the love for this character made me appreciate the overall story even at the first quick read. strictly talking about rp, i guess it was just the curiousity to explore and understand him better? plus an old friend of mine enabled me lol.

what keeps your inspiration going?  —  i’ve only recently returned after a long hiatus and i was surprised to find myself so full of energy to pour into this character. i wouldn’t know how to explain it tbh? he’s a tiring muse, but one that fills me with pride. that’s a good reason to keep going. also, i love the bleach universe, i love to extrapolate themes from it and aizen is one of the richest characters it has to offer, one of the most complex and complete. my biggest inspiration is the aizen himself, looking at him from all possible angles and perspectives, finding literary / musical / other media references to get an always better grasp on him.

do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  —  absolutely! i might be slow with them because i don’t like half-assing my answers, but i dearly appreciate every question i’m sent. 

if someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  —  i crave feedback on my headcanons / metas, positive or negative. if you disagree, tell me why! i might have made a mistake and you might be saving my life, or still it could prompt an interesting confrontation, make us both notice new stuff, etc. if by the end of it we still disagree, good. 

if someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  —  peace. i’m always open to discuss disagreements, but if they really don’t like my interpretation, i’m sure there’s plenty of fish in the sea 😌

if someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  —  i’m protective of aizen, don’t hate him or get ready to throw fists, ao. 

are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  prepositions are my recurring nightmare. sometimes i post replies without thoroughly proofreading them and you might spot grammatical errors or typos; please point them out or fix them for me. especially if u spot a recurring error. 

do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  i am, i’m chill, but i can strike as somewhat distant, not gonna lie. i’m terrible at smalltalk because i’m not super inclined to disclose stuff about my private life unless we’re friends or i feel really comfortable doing so. i’m slow, somewhat careless, and i like my boundaries respected. that said, i consider myself friendly and i’m game to talk about anything as long as you give me a topic. i don’t think i come off as intimidating??? unless we talking about food.

If your feelings are worth vague posting about, then they are worth bringing up directly to your partner.

Jump into an existing roleplay uninvited

You should ask if those involved would like another added to their dynamic. Send the first poster a message and you should able to get an answer.

Idolizing

Even if another person is an exceptional and visionary writer, they are just people. Putting someone on pedestal can create tension in a space where someone is just trying to enjoy themselves. And, you may be setting yourself up to be disappointed. Try instead to befriend those you admire, giving them the same respect as you would like.

Creative Exercises

So, today we’re taking a break from my usual advice-info-intentional-tumblr-queue, and from my frantic re-arrangement edits of Jesse and Green Guy in between query letters, AND from the memes and meme crumbs that occupy my breaks working in retail.

I’ve lately been rather removed from “witchy” things like tarot cards and candle-making due to my busy schedule putting me behind on trends, and my Magic The Gathering hobby has also been slowed during this time.  So, for a story prompt, life perspective suggestion or even a little decorating inspiration, today I mashed together some of my passions and tried to do a Celtic 10 card tarot spread, but instead of using tarot cards, I used my Vannifar EDH deck.

My current situation is a reaching and gathering of resources, but in what direction?

Card 2: Woodfall Primus

The challenge: Something unexpectedly huge and destructive will rear its head, and traditional removal will only cause it to return. Perhaps, because of this recurring nature, it is a familiar enemy.

Card 3: Birds of Paradise

The past and probable cause of these events. A beautiful bird is depicted soaring away from a volcano, either running away or being birthed from the eruption of a volcanic island. The card is multi-purpose functioning as a flying blocker and as a source of any mana needed. I am happy, and I don't know a human on this earth who has never run from their past. On a positive note, it could represent a boon or miracle caused by or resulting in a transcendent faith.

Card 4: Aid from the Cowl

The near future threatens revolution, an uncovering of allies, or perhaps cautions of spite and attempts to court chaos, especially to be careful if it looks fun or profitable at first. 

Card 5: Forest

Land. The querent’s goal is, after all, natural resources. Renewable, harmonious connection with nature and life is the aim, even if it’s not always available. This basic forest is the “ideal” mana source that all of the other mana sources or sort-of-mana-sources here are trying to get to.

Card 6: Swiftfoot Boots

Below, the subconscious realm of the querent drives them in ways they may not be able to fully articulate or understand. This card reveals a driving current of one word: motion. Too fast to be stopped, too deep to learn to sit still, at least for now.

Card 7: Entrancing Melody

The advice card, also often known as the true power or inner power to unlock, is in this case a specific, possibly empathetic control by getting on the same wavelength as the adversary or desired target.

Card 8: Elvish Visionary

External factors, beyond the querent’s control tell of others being able to see, potentially further or wiser than the querent, telling of the querent being dimmed or blind to their surroundings relative to their friends and/or foes. I know I need new glasses but I feel so called out here gosh.

Card 9: Great Oak Guardian

Hopes and fears are often intertwined, and so the ninth card is often difficult to interpret. The querent hopes or fears a sudden disturbance in the playing field due to a great power that affects others in ways that are difficult to keep track of and tremendously raises the stakes. The querent may hope for but slightly fear change, or a loss of control if this beast is not on their side. The querent may feel they have to be in control to keep everyone okay, and fear any larger a scope of beings or complications to manage.

Card 10: Reef Worm

The final outcome: Either I or my foe are sort of phoenix-hydras, not immortal, not infallible, but lasting a long damn time, each form rising fiercer than the last. We are in this for the long haul, either because we are stagnant against our demons day after day or because in order to prevail, we train and become stronger. A good warning, I think.

By the time she turned to the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in 1936, Gág — who would go on to be a major influence for such storytelling legends as Maurice Sendak — was already an icon in her own right. Minntz 

Seed Junky Genetics, world-renowned breeders of strains such as Animal Cookies, Gelato, and Ice Cream Cake collaborated with Berner (of Cookies Fam) to bring their first commercial cannabis line to market.  One of the most notable strains available from the Minntz line is The Soap, which is known for its unique aromatics and uplifting effect profile. Clout King

Per Z Clout King himself, “I am a long time cultivator from Santa Cruz CA. After dealing with picky customers, getting raided, and diagnosing issues at my grow for years, I started to make memes about my experience in late 2017.”   Clout King’s Insta account rapidly gained followers prompting him to start the Clout King brand in 2018.  One of Clout King’s premier cuts is Peanut Butter Cup (Mendo Breath x Do-Si-Do), which sports a nutty flavor and relaxing effect profile.

Grandiflora 

Grandiflora is one of Cookies Fam brands and features the genetics of Mark McCafferty.  Berner had become enamored with Grandiflora’s pre-rolls and flower and reached out to Mark to begin a partnership in 2019.  McCafferty is very secretive about his genetics and strives to develop strains with rare and exclusive aromatics that deliver a sensory experience. *It should be noted that McCafferty is an Oakland Equity Applicant, meaning he has had prior convictions for “drug” trafficking.  The Equity program was created to promote equitable ownership and employment opportunities in the cannabis industry.

The book elaborates on how inspiration is a critical resource in modern work. The authors founded InspireCorp based on their shared perspective on how inspiration influences how value is delivered to clients. With reflection on their experiences, they had an epiphany – sustained inspiration was essential to have a positive impact.

“The spark of inspiration can transform our mindsets: it makes the impossible seem possible. It can change how we see our own capacity, it can even change how we seen the world.”

Establish sustained inspiration. It means connecting to workday structure and experiences. Look for examples throughout the book. Consider the good nods to researched self-management as well. For example, decide with speed and conviction, deliver reliably, engage for impact, and adapt proactively. Leaders from industry exhibit “behaviors that correspond to these four categories”. The authors go on to note examples. As a result, these behaviors relate to company performance.

I also liked the “Road Map to Sustain Inspiration Around A Particular Area of Focus.” This chart maps out the inspiration engine. It remains a question prompt to consider. For example, ask yourself how you will use this engine creatively. Look at your current situation.

Consider the overall goal of the road map. It also figures as the overall goal of the book. Develop a sustained inspiration. It leads to truly visionary thinking. And this creativity solidifies a team. And it aids your own professional journey.

Dare to Inspire makes a solid case. It describes sustained inspiration as a skilled quality. And claims you can use it as a working asset for your organization.
