Oh Jod, I've been stumbling through this series like a 9 year old child and totally missing the whole 'Jesus Carrying The Cross' bit with Harrow obsessively bearing Gideon's (very crucifix shaped) sword strapped to her back, even though she can hardly bear the weight of it.

i really can’t explain this feeling.. hearing jjong’s voice is one thing (a very precious one i don’t take for granted) but to hear him be so readily and frequently directly and explicitly mentioned and talked about—to the point where it made headlines at first and then it just started being normal—is completely another. having their 17th anniversary show begin with a song by him that they completed for him and end with a song for him, singing how they hope their voices reach him, and key explaining this through teary eyes, leaving no room for speculation. even having the rest of shinee joke around and complain about his poet artist guide all the while it’s all actually just thinly (if at all) veiled praise and admiration.. having taemin compare his voice to an instrument and (after recording a song written almost a decade ago that they changed so minimally it’s almost imperceptible and yet it still sounds so fresh and current) say almost casually how good jonghyun is and how he could’ve written so many great songs with some of the people taemin’s worked with.. even just having ㅎㅅㅎ’s official return in the merch. it’s indescribable

I kind of don't like how a lot of people forget that despite all the angst and the drama around Dean and Cas they are fundamentaly best friends.

How many times did Dean say it throught the entire show? Bobby in season 6 saying "Well, you just lost the best friend you ever had."

For Bobby to say that, knowing Dean better than even Sam in some regards, how many times had Dean been sitting with Castiel on the couch in his living room?

Cas doesn't sleep, and rarely does Dean, with the Apocalypse looming right behind him.

So all they had left, in those quiet nights were each other. And they were okay with it, because they liked each other's company.

Honoring Liam Payne: A memorial across time and space

As we continue to process the heartbreaking news of Liam’s passing, I’ve created this tumblr as a space where we can come together and remember him.

Several of you, including some anons, suggested the idea of holding an online memorial, especially for those who can’t attend the services being held in various cities. I believe this is a beautiful way to honor him and support one another.

I’ll be posting more details on Monday, as it’s quite late now and I’ll be travelling tomorrow to attend one of the memorials. But I wanted to get this blog up and running to share a date and a way for us to contribute.

We’ll be holding the online memorial on October 29th. The time doesn’t matter — just join in whenever it’s October 29th where you are, so everyone can participate in their own time. What can you share?

I think I’d be really funny, if Bruce was a reincarnated Vlad.

This is going to be based off of a prompt I saw (I will find you) where Bruce suddenly remembered his past life as Vlad.

HOWEVER, my take on that is the de-aged Ellie and Dan because the amount of ANGST and self hate that Bruce will go through thinking his past self was not only a villain, but also that sort of person?

It will eat him alive.

It will eat that man alive every time he goes to sleep and another burst of memories pass underneath his eyelids.

It burns him when he wakes up with the phantom touch of a body underneath his hands, of a boy just as young as Damian and thinner too, struggling to escape a grip of a man whose hold was too possessive, and too cruel.

It feels like acid swishing down his throat when he wakes with the taste of oily words filled with threat and something more whispered over the form of a boy. A young boy whose blue eyes blazed furiously back and yet tried to hide the quiet bursts of fear underneath.

It feels like Bruce cannot scrub the man he had been right out of him, even when his skin blisters red until it bleeds. Vladimir Masters had woken spitting and screaming, burrowed like a cold sore underneath everything that is Bruce.

Bruce hates it.

Hates the monster he had once been and still is — because despite the fact Vlad is now Bruce, living and breathing and existing here in Gotham — Vladimir Masters still exists.

He is out there right now in a little place called Amity Park, pulling weight and blood just to get what he wants.

A man who has used and abused for far too long…

Perhaps it was time to see to it, that however and whatever way that Bruce came to be, that it began with Vlad’s unfortunate circumstances back into the Ghost Zone.

satoru who deages into his teen self . . . you never met your husband until a couple years ago when he was teaching at jujutsu tech instead of going there as a student — and now you see how the passage of time can really make a difference on a person’s character. if you thought your husband was cocky, think again. all teen satoru did was talk about himself, and when he wasn’t doing that, he was flirting rather brazenly with you bc he was ever so curious about you — his future wife. he’d try to get as close as possible, throwing an arm around your shoulder and trying to snuggle up real close at any occasion. you’d push him away of course, after all, he was too young for you. finger on his cheek to turn his head away gently when he leaned in for a kiss, you’d giggle at his pout and the look of hurt on his face. then he’ll smirk at the sound and try seducing you, “i’m still your husband, even if i’m like this — i can still show you a good time.” you are highly unamused and uninterested, dragging him by his ear while he hisses back to his bedroom (he sleeps in the guest one for now bc he’s in this condition) after he tried sneaking into yours in the middle of the night

it's funny to me that so many fics depict maddie's relationship with her parents as fine and dandy, i guess to highlight how badly they treated buck, but there is actually very little canonical evidence of them treating maddie well. beyond the fact that they made the insane choice to force a nine year old to pretend her dead brother never existed, they're also pretty consistently mean to her. she has two scenes with her parents in the flashbacks and both of them involve her mother yelling at her. when baby buck falls off his bike, the first thing margaret does is blame maddie. like literally, the first words out of her mouth are "maddie, what did you do to him!" and then the next time we see them interact directly, it's margaret telling maddie that she's making a terrible decision for moving to boston with doug. and presumably it's after this that her parents cut her off for making life decisions they disagree with. which would be an incredibly fucked up thing to do to your kid even if they weren't entering an abusive relationship, but all the more so when they are, and cutting them off essentially means they have no support system. and then, when the buckleys show up in season 4, they're constantly giving her backhanded compliments while needling her and victim blaming her for having been abused.

i think people just assume that because maddie got a baby box and buck didn't, maddie had it better. but the buckley parents are pretty consistently shown to be mean and downright cruel to their daughter, and they never acknowledge or apologize for how badly they failed her.

kicking my legs and giggling over the fact that the turtles so obviously symbolize benitez. ofc we all know the fable of the tortoise and the hare (i know tortoises aren't turtles, but they're closely related enough for it to still work), with its motto of "slow and steady wins the race"- which is exactly how benitez won the papacy, in a way. but also, lawrence mentions that sometimes the turtles stray too far from the pond and get struck by cars in the busy street. near the end of the film, we have a scene of lawrence picking up a turtle and bringing it safely back to the pond; before this was the scene of benitez's confession to lawrence that he's intersex. in turn, the turtle rescue scene so obviously symbolizes lawrence keeping benitez's secret safe and protecting him.
