Here’s some bts stuff for Sovereign Ones. Read on if ya want. Since Lloyd is a mechanic I had to come up with what he would work with and how he would work. The world of S.O. is a weird mix of future-y elements and fantasy junk, but for his work I leaned heavy into the futuristic technology bits that have been floating around in the blood of this series. I had this idea of Lloyd working on huge machinery, while suspended in the air on some kind of cable, (taking some mild inspiration from when I worked on crane maintenance in a machine shop (love me some high heights)). Imagine that it’s still October 31st!! It’s become a Halloween tradition to draw my character Lloyd in some sort of Bayonetta outfit, and this year I went with the Tokyo queen herself. Had a lot of fun with this one. One of my biggest goals this year was to make my art more energetic feeling.

gabe itches?? This piece is titled Unrequited. Never have I worked with a file that made my tablet chug like this one did. First time for everything 💃. Prof. wanted me to "merge the cartoony-ness of my art style with a shading/rendering style that I don't usually use,” so you can imagine the dread I felt starting this piece but I like how it came out. Feat. my OCs Lloyd, Averis, & Cal from left to right. I might make some tweaks as time goes on.
