Of course Donnie has spreadsheets about you.

You’re new to his family. You’re human. You’re unpredictable.

You two clash. It’s hard. Both of you struggle to find things to talk about. Which is fine. Leo gets more conversations out of you and you and Raph get along well. It’s not like nobody likes you there. It’s not like he doesn’t like you.

It just drains his battery a little when fighting for a conversation with you.

He’s fine with saying hello and how are you every so often. You two don’t have to be anything more than acquaintances.

That was his thought process until he stopped paying attention to your conversations and more towards how you acted.

You always leaned into people. You were always touching someone in some way. You shivered when Leo ruffled your hair or when Raph’s tail skimmed your back.

Other days, you avoided touch like the plague.

It was the perfect opportunity for a new experiment. He had been itching for something new and Mikey no longer wanted to test how resistant his scales were to open flame.

So he began to touch you. Of course, he started off with ‘accidental’ brushes against each other. His rough scales against your smooth skin. You would shiver. He would write it down.

He upped his game, starting to pat your shoulder and hold your arm to lead you somewhere. You began to stutter, acting more and more awkward the more he touched you.

After a while, you’d relax. You’d start having smoother conversations again. And then Donatello would mix it up and you’d go back to stammering out simple words and phrases.

Eventually, you start seeking him out to start conversations on your own. He’s so surprised with this sudden change that he forgets the spreadsheet for an entire week as he starts to spend more time with you.

When he gets back to the spreadsheet, he decides to add a section. About him.

Specifically about these reactions he’s having. He presses a hand to his plastron, taking deep breaths to calm the deep thumping of his heart. All that just from the thought of you.

omg hiiiiii!! someone sent this to me on discord too without your comment and i came up with my own matches last night so you get to see those for funsies hehe. i will admit that i have seen secret of the ooze Once and remember almost none of it (i was watching with a friend and we were solely making fun of it. for obvious reasons). i think rise!Donnie fits zed more because zed can really have fun with the mad scientist bit and has, like Donnie, performed unethical experiments on his friends/hermitcraft family (and also himself)

listen i love tmnt SO. i have made an official list. a few notes: rottmnt (2018) notably changes the characters of the turtles. it does so well and i love it for that! but it changes who ZITS would be. the first emoji refers to the original cartoon, 2003, and 2012; the second refers to rise. i'm not counting the batman crossover bc i don't like it, IDW comics bc they are also unique characters and i dont wamna, 2007 because theyre unique characters, mutant mayhem bc i'm less familiar with their personalities, or bayverse or live action bc i havent seen them and dislike them on principle. 03 and rise are my special favourites, which probably affects things. without further ado:

okokok my reasonings!!

first of all i'll give a lil explanation of the turtles' personalities, divided into "87, 2k3, '12" and "rise".

'87, '03, '12

Leo: the leader in blue; responsible; that's pretty much it tbh. he's not a bad character, but he can be rather boring

Don: the tech guy; smart; has some self-esteem issues but is generally pretty level-headed and good in a pinch

Raphael: anger issues mcgee (and i love him for it); angry but also the most complex character imo because they always give him an interesting way to deal with his anger issues; despite it all he's a softie at heart

Mikey: the funny youngest sibling; irresponsible; loves pop culture; underestimated because he's effortlessly good at stuff, and people assume if he's listening to a tape he's lazy or something

Rise

Nardo: snarky twin with 500 mental illnesses; arrogant, horrible self-esteem

Donnie: smart twin; evil supergenius; frequently revolutionizes tech for fun, has his own trademark, commits morally dubious experiments (often on his own family)

Raph: Anxiety (also the leader. but mostly anxiety)

Angelo: fluffball who *could* kill you but would rather tie you to a chair and lecture you on talking about your feelings

Why I'm Right (aka why ZITS are what they are)

First off, for the first three shows, Leo is the leader who's pretty levelheaded. Everyone's right with that one. Raphael could be either Skizz or Tango, but Don is too chill to be anyone but Tango. Raphael as Skizz makes sense when you watch, for example, Pico Park pt. 2. He gets a little intense. But Raphael is also a softie at heart, like Skizz. Zed has to be Mikey, which works because he's often underestimated and tends to enjoy the sillier side of life.

Then, in Rise, we see the shift in leadership from Leo to Raph (until the very end, but we don't see much of it so I'm basing this off the majority of the show). This works for Impulse, because he, too, is just a bit ball of anxiety constantly. Zed is clearly a mad scientist like Donatello. But, you may be saying, what about Tango? Isn't he a mad scientist too? Sure, sure, but listen to me: the self esteem issues. What is Tango if not a tower of self esteem issues in a trench coat? So he's clearly Nardo. And that leaves Skizz as Angelo, which 100% works because of Dr. Feelings (angelo's alter ego who evilly forces people to talk about their feelings).

ANYWAYS i love tmnt and deciding on a lil crossover was so fun, and im glad to see someone else who knows their tmnt weighing in as well!!!

Here have a little break from the sillies with some lore (I promise my comic does have a plot and is going somewhere)

I have a lot of things that went on in the past with Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi but it all culminates in the death of Tang Shen and the genocide of the Hamato Clan. More specifics of that will be revealed through the actual comic. This happened in early to mid 1999. My comic takes place in 2018, which is a little hard to tell because it was so recent so technology isn't that different. I was a teenager in 2018 so it's a time that resonates with me and that's why I chose it. So the birth years for the boys, April, Casey, and Karai in order are:

Casey: 1998

April: 1999

Leonardo: 2000

Karai: 2000

Raph: 2001

Donnie: 2001

Mikey: 2002

Anyways, Oroku Saki married my OC Ai as a substitute for Tang Shen. I think of my Shredder as being just as ruthless and evil, but I think the scariest kinds of villains are that of Emperor Belos or Coriolanus Snow. He has a lot of the same qualities of them in 2003 except I think he's stupid for dismembering people who he would be better off leaving in one piece like Stockman. I think it was very much in the same vein as Coriolanus Snow picking a wife he basically hated so that she'd never be able to hold any power over him. I haven't decided too much of the specifics of Ai outside of she's never seen much because he keeps her hidden away. Many members of the foot aren't even aware he has a wife. I think they live extremely separate lives and barely ever interact. I think she's very opposite of him, but she's in a position where she and people she holds dear would be in a lot of danger if she defies him or decides to leave. Karai especially would drop her mother like she was nothing if she did, and she has a very strained relationship with Karai as she gets older due to her being Saki's mini-me and it makes her very sad and frightened of the monster her daughter is becoming.

The relationship Saki has with Karai is very close. I think she's very much Daddy's little princess and that's a very large part of why she doesn't see her mother much. She's his second in command (much to the hatred of Chris Bradford and Xever because I have also stolen them too for my iteration) She has very much been raised from birth to embody his ideals. I think he's very aware that love is a stronger motivator than fear in Karai. He doesn't have to make her fear him at all. He showers her with the love and adoration she desperately craves and she'd kill 1000 men for him. There was this one thing I saw somewhere that was along the lines of "those hands that cradled you are stained with the blood of the innocent" and the person responds with "but they cradled me." and that's their relationship as she grows.

OHMYGOD im gonna be yapping 1.-Autistic Raph : I rlly like this headcanon, it might not be as popular as the donnie/Leo autism headcanons, but I like it! since autism it's a whole spectrum and donnie is the one with that types of headcanon's specifically , in 2012 for example, I feel like raph would be a strangely raw and nice representation (IM NOT AUTISTIC! don't take my word as someone who has gone through it) like, he doesn't like his space being invaded, he get's mad at people crossing his boundaries, and it's overall nice! tottmnt raph makes the autism headcanon more seen and I LOVE IT 2.-Trans masc Rise Leo: im not a huge Rise Leo fan , but I sure do like these head canons >_< 3.- tottmnt donnie's gacha life phase : I SAW THIS ONE AT ONE OF MY MUTUAL'S REBLOGS AND UGHHHH I LOVE IT (Raph voice acting the alpha wolfs is so real) 4.- raph being artistically gifted is so real (Except 2018 probably..) 5.-LEO (2012) SNEAKS OUT AND STAR GAZES ..IT'S REAL PLS TRUST ME 6.- Mikey forgetting he's allergic to things and eating them anyway 7.- the turtles all chose their own birthdays! no matter the iteration, they all tried getting a special day for themselves besides the mutation day 8.- DONNIE AND RAPH ARE TWINS!!! Monorail wheels screeched, screaming as they came to a halt, skidding to a stop right at the station exit. With a ding, the doors slid open, and folks poured out, a stream of ten or so people, all chattering, bringing a lively mood into the air, throwing glances back and forth as they typed away on their devices. Amidst the small crowd of unique looking folks, were two specific individuals, side by side, walking out together. The moment Mikey breached the doors of the monorail, he gasped, and ran forwards, arms flung wide, inhaling deeply, reveling in the way the air practically buzzed with pure energy. “Oh my gosh, this is so rad!!! Yoooo!!!” He laughed excitedly and looked about, craning his neck to gaze up at the vividly hued world he had landed in. “Dude!! It’s even prettier out here!!” he shouted, throwing his arms upwards, nearly smacking someone in the face. Though he hardly noticed, and they moved on quickly, leaving Mikey to his wild enthusiasm. “This is awesome!!” He laughed, beaming up at the world around him, wanting nothing more than to just run off, and explore every single corner!

Blue is, what i call, Donnie 2018 type of autistic. he loves the sea and sea creatures, yes, but he loves tech and compiles "useless" info for him to calm down stress. it's rare, but if he's close to snapping or he just snaps, expect Donnie-like yelling and him looking to a specific point of the place, with wide eyes. he has a phobia to germs, but funny enough he works in a place that is invaded by all types of germs when it comes to food. meat, fish, ham and cheese, all together and always having something thats not edible... gross

imagine a situation of him being in a place full of germs or dirty stuff as the Staten Island scene in ROTTMNT movie

Normally this would be the part where I put the title of the fic, but for Pacing Reasons I'm not gonna yet. Yeehaw.

In the year 2012, in a universe where adult mutant ninja turtles have an impressive world-saving resume dating back to when they were just teenagers, Mikey has a scheduled patrol as his part-time hero persona, the Turtle Titan.

In the year 2018, in a universe where magic is always plucking at the edges of the world and where a supernatural library serves as both a pillar of reality and a safe place for powerful magical artifacts, the staff of that very library all look forward to what will hopefully be an uneventful day with no danger of any kind.

It sure would be a shame if an old enemy from someplace adjacent to the turtles turned up alive, well, and ready to cause multidimensional trouble.

The Turtle Titan is an official member of the Justice Force! Of course, I'm only on duty every third Wednesday of every fourth month. And February 29th... when there is one.

Mikey paused in the middle of his mad dash for the lair's entrance, his superhero gear halfway between "in his arms" and "in place on his body." "It's February 29th, Sensei, so the Turtle Titan is on patrol tonight."

Splinter's eyebrows rose, and his ears fell back down from an alert position. "Ah, I see. Well, don't let this old rat keep you."

Mikey quickly wrangled his gear the rest of the way on, and the Turtle Titan gave his father a quick, tight hug. "I'll kick plenty of shell, don't worry."

"That, at least, has never been a fear of mine," chuckled Splinter, patting the Turtle Titan's shell before releasing him.

There came a distant yelp of frustration from Raph, and the Turtle Titan snickered and darted off. "Be back in the morning!"

"MIKEY, WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU-!"

"Love you too, Raphy!" called the Turtle Titan over his shoulder as he sprinted away, Raph's sais stuck in his belt right where he'd stashed them next to his nunchaku.

He left Raph's annoyance behind with a spring in his step, and he took the first opportunity he could get to hop topside and take to the rooftops. The Turtle Titan didn't need to hide in the shadows, not like Michelangelo Splinterson still did; the Turtle Titan was a known member of the Justice Force and someone people would be happy to see!

After the whole Time Travel Mess Of 2005-And-Or-2105, Mikey'd had an idea, though; if the Turtle Titan could be accepted so quickly, and if he and his brothers were supposed to wind up accepted by society by the turn of the century, then maybe the Turtle Titan was at least one reason why the Splintersons were able to walk around under the sun a hundred years into the future.

Man, his life was weird.

The Turtle Titan gave himself a little shake and started his run to Meeting Point Delta-Omega- or rather, the roof of the pizza place on Laird Avenue that had opened up a few years back.

His patrol partner was already there by the time he showed up, and the Turtle Titan broke into a grin. "Nano! How's it hanging, Squirt?"

Nano turned to greet him, a grin of his own on his metallic face. "I am still seven inches taller than you, Turtle Titan."

"Six-point-nine inches, and I'm still gonna catch up to you one of these days!" The Turtle Titan wagged his finger at Nano with a smirk. "It's my prerogative as your cool older brother-ish to butt heads with you on this, remember?"

"Don't you mean 'butt your head against my armored shoulder?'" asked Nano too-innocently.

The Turtle Titan cackled and gave Nano's back a hearty smack. "You've learned well, my padawan!"

Nano chuckled with him, then gestured out towards the rest of the city with his head. "Shall we commence patrol?"

"Sure thing, Tiny!" The Turtle Titan charged over the edge of the roof with a whoop, his grappling hook whirring as it yanked him up to the neighboring rooftop.

Nano lifted off and flew after him, and the two of them spent the first ten, maybe fifteen minutes of their shift in amicable silence, save for occasionally dropping in to stop a mugging or a bank heist they happened across.

Then Nano turned to the Turtle Titan on an empty rooftop and asked, "Wasn't the Foot Clan HQ abandoned in 2010?"

The Turtle Titan blinked, and Mikey turned a grim look to Nano. "Yeah, as far as we know. After that whole thing with too many Shredders and the multiverse almost collapsing back in '09, Karai said she was gonna have the Foot 'go back to their roots' or something. Why do you ask?"

"Because there seems to be a massive influx of energy at the top of the building," said Nano, pointing over Mikey's shoulder.

Mikey whirled around, his Turtle Titan cape swishing behind him, and he immediately caught sight of the ball of sickly energy crackling right where Nano said it would be.

"Oooooh, Mikey no likey," said he with a grimace.

The two of them shot off for the allegedly-abandoned skyscraper without another word.

There was no motion at the base- at least, not outside the usual late-night NYC traffic- and there were no lights on inside or silhouettes in the windows.

The only light came from the crackling ball of energy on what had once been the helipad.

And right as he and Nano landed on the outermost part of the roof, even the crackling ball of energy fell dim.

The person standing in the middle of the array of machinery that decidedly did not belong there wasn't human, turtle, AI, or even space alien.

The Sliver looked somehow more unkempt than the last time Mikey had seen him, with his warlord getup hanging on by a thread and his overachieving mane of fur matted in places that Splinter had never allowed to go unwashed on his own body, even in Mikey's earliest memories. Mikey would even dare to say he looked mangy.

The Sliver hadn't seemed to have noticed Mikey or Nano yet, preoccupied with taking stock of himself as he was.

At the edges of his vision, using the prototype messaging system Donny had put together as a favor for the Justice Force that Mikey kept in his Turtle Titan hood, Nano asked, You know him?

Mikey nodded grimly and subtly reached for his left glove, typing back a response: the whole Thing back in 09 wasnt my first or only brush with the multiverse. meet an evil version of my dad from a universe where my bros and me fill the role of the justice force- the Sliver. last i saw him, he was supposed to be dead, and good riddance tbqfh.

Nano's jaw hardened.

The Sliver brought a hand to his head with a groan as he pushed himself to his feet, lit brightly enough by the machinery around him that it was child's play for Mikey (in his dark Turtle Titan gear) and Nano (quickly camouflaging to the dim hues of the city below) to sneak around and get a good look at the main screen of the hodgepodge of metal the Sliver had brought with him.

At its center, there sat an oldsy-timesy compass-looking thing with a generic plane shape in place of a needle, and as the duo watched, the outer rim slowed from a wild whirling to something more easily legible, showing…a completely normal compass rim thingy.

Mikey really wished Donny was there to help identify whatever the thingy was. Heck, Leo knew enough about solo navigation that he might have had an idea.

Honestly, any of his brothers would have been a blessing right then.

He'd needed his brothers' alternates and his own to even pull the wool over the Sliver's eyes last time, and while he was several years wiser nowadays, so was the Sliver.

"Yes…yes! I am close!" the Sliver chuckled darkly as he interpreted the display. "I am finally in the correct great dimensional tree!"

What is he talking about?

well, given how he was trying to bring his sons to the dark side or kill them for refusing when we presumedly ended up killing him last time, id bet he's trying to get back for revenge reasons or something

he had a machine that would eradicate all life except those lives within a specific area when i first fought him, it was a last-ditch effort to force me and my bros' counterparts to join him. we reversed it to keep the rest of the dimension from being killed, but if he was able to build it once, he could proabbly build it again

Mikey and Nano shared a nod, and as Nano sounded the alarm back with the rest of the Force, Mikey let himself fall back into the Turtle Titan and streak forward, actually landing a hit on the Sliver's jaw.

"GAH-!" The Sliver stumbled back, but swatted the Turtle Titan away before he could attack a second time. Only once he seemingly realized what he'd done did he whirl on the Turtle Titan with a snarl. "It cannot be!"

"Can be and is!" The Turtle Titan ground out, matching the Sliver's snarl with a mirthless smirk. "Didja miss me, Slivvy? Admit it, you missed me."

"So this is your homeworld, puny ninja," mused the Sliver. "Perhaps I might stay long enough to teach you a lesson that evaded my own sons!"

He lunged, and the Turtle Titan brought his shield up to bear, catching most of the Sliver's assault against its surface and deflecting the rest to one side. As the Sliver stumbled, the Turtle Titan rushed him, intent on trying to knock him out or something-

-and a goopy green arm slammed squarely into the Turtle Titan's chest, even seeping slightly through his supersuit and reaching the plates of his plastron with a deathly chill.

The Turtle Titan squawked as he was knocked away, barely managing to remember to grab the edge of the rooftop before he flew clean over.

"TURTLE TITAN!"

Nano's panicked shout preceded a heavy thwack and a pained snarl from the Sliver, and the Turtle Titan hauled himself back onto the roof with minimal leg-kicking just in time to watch the Sliver smirk viciously at Nano. "Ah, so the weak little ninja brought a friend to play, did he?"

"If you want to call us apprehending you 'playing,' then yes!" Nano feinted as if to go for a quick kick to the Sliver's side, then hurled himself the opposite direction and slapped his hand against the side of the control panel.

Nothing visibly happened, but the Turtle Titan bit back a knowing smirk as he charged the Sliver again. He couldn't very well let the supervillain have enough time to figure out what Nano was doing, after all. "Usually we're supposed to schedule a playdate, Slivvy, and you're supposed to get my dad's permission!"

His shield-slam went wide as the Sliver leapt up into the air, hovering there for a moment before shooting back down, foot-first.

If asked later, Mikey would truthfully say that he wasn't entirely sure how he'd gotten from a worm's-eye view of the Sliver's heel to caught up in some sort of goopy cocoon. However, he'd be willing to wager a guess that the Sliver had kicked him in the head hard enough to knock him out for a few crucial seconds.

He'd just call it a hunch.

The Sliver was in the middle of saying something by the time Mikey- no, no, he was still on the job- by the time the Turtle Titan realized he was trapped. "-not allow you to interfere!"

Some of the metal behind the Sliver started to move, and the Turtle Titan cracked a vicious grin. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're a bit late for that."

A haphazard metal fist with fingers twice as long as the Turtle Titan was tall came slamming down onto the platform, only missing the Sliver by the teensiest fraction of a second as he dodged.

"I would like to offer you a word of advice," called Nano from his place next to the control panel, a shimmer of silvery-yellow nanobots flowing from where his hand touched the panel and into the Sliver's machine. "Do not build weapons of mass destruction out of the same kind of thing your enemies are made of."

The metal fist lifted and came down again, this time splattering the goopy arm holding the Turtle Titan in place. The Turtle Titan quickly began flinging the goo off of himself while the Sliver recoiled and reconstituted his fur-covered arm out of what goop he had left.

(Something in the back of the Turtle Titan's mind snapped to attention: the Sliver hadn't had any issues with separated goop when last they'd met.)

"ENOUGH!" thundered the Sliver, lightning crackling from his opposite hand as he slapped it to the floor-

"NANO, PULL BACK-!" The Turtle Titan screamed, already running for his patrol partner-

-and Nano shrieked as the electricity overloaded his systems, the metal fist creaking to a halt halfway above the ground and Nano's main body convulsing by the control panel, sparks flying from every seam, joint, and outward-facing component-thingy.

The Turtle Titan bodily tackled Nano off the Sliver's platform, the two of them tumbling a short ways to the edge of the roof before coming to a stop, Nano still twitching but blessedly not shrieking in bloodcurdling agony.

"I have more important business to attend than dealing with a ninja playing dress-up!" growled the Sliver, rushing to the control panel and flipping switches along its sides.

There came the whine of power building up at the edges of the Turtle Titan's hearing, and he felt his heart stop.

"Nano, Nano, Nano, c'mon, wake up, dude-!"

"I-I am aw-wake," mumbled Nano with a shake of his head, his voice skipping and starting ever-so-slightly as he sat up. After a second or so, though, his eyes widened and he scrambled to his feet. "The Sliver-! He's-!"

"Yeah," said the Turtle Titan grimly, getting to his own feet. "Somebody needs to take him down, but we can't just disappear without any explanation."

"Turtle Titan, you stay," Nano decided. "I have a backup at HQ-"

"And it won't change the fact that you'll be lost to the multiverse if you can't get back!" The Turtle Titan tugged him back and started trudging for the Sliver's machine. "My family and me at least have the whole chi-meditation thing going for us-!"

"But what if it does not function as interdimensional communication, Turtle Titan?!" demanded Nano, yanking him away and leaping back onto the platform.

The Turtle Titan scowled and jumped after him, grabbing his arm and spinning to chuck him to safety. "Don't make me exercise my rights as the older brother-ish-!"

-and Nano screamed as the nanobots of his arm were forcefully disconnected from the main mass of his systems, which went tumbling to the corner of the helipad before finally coming to a stop.

The dimensional travel machine, the Sliver, and the Turtle Titan were nowhere to be found.

Nano felt dread pool in his processors. "This is not going to end well, is it?"

In a place that was everywhere and nowhere at once, the Turtle Titan screamed as a wall of light severed Nano's arm and sent both him and the arm tumbling back into the "safe zone" of the machine.

"NO! You'll throw off the calculations, you FOOL!" the Sliver howled, already going to swipe at the Turtle Titan with an elongated, goopy arm.

The Turtle Titan dodged away from the attack, and as Nano's arm started reassembling into- what was that, a gauntlet?- around his non-shield hand, he flung the shield into one of the important-looking bits of tech, sending sparks flying. "All according to plan, you walking offense to dads everywhere!"

The Sliver roared and charged him again, and he nearly bowled the Turtle Titan over entirely. It was all the Turtle Titan could do to grab onto a piece of metal sticking out at an odd angle and hang on for dear life as-

-"Now the eye's back! Now the hand! THE EEEYYYEEE!"-

-all he could see was an ever-growing mass of turtles-

-"I thought he said 'squirrel' formation!"-

-they extended out to infinity in every direction in blues and reds and purples and oranges-

-"Doctor Delicate Touch feels nothing."-

-they extended out forever-!

-and a metal something-or-other slammed into the back of the Turtle Titan's throat, making him flinch and lurch back to relatively solid ground, coughing and hacking to get the whatever-it-was out of him.

The onslaught of voices went slightly quieter around him, with one of the voices yelling about somebody being "super fly" before fading into the masses.

"You…" hissed the Sliver. "You are lucky you do not send us careening out of the great terrapin dimensional tree!"

The Turtle Titan finally managed to hork up the thingy- some kind of jewelry, for reasons beyond him- and stowed it in his utility belt for the time being. "Me? Lucky? Perish the thought!"

"Indeed! Look around you, foolish ninja!" The Sliver broke into a downright dastardly smirk, holding his hands out to gesture grandly at their surroundings.

Surroundings which, as the Turtle Titan watched, were slowly becoming more and more solid and more and more like the Shell of Justice that he'd visited all those years prior.

"Oh, shell!" he breathed.

"Shell, indeed! Shell of Justice, indeed!" The Sliver began cackling louder and louder.

An alarm sounded in the Shell of Justice, but the Turtle Titan just turned to the Sliver and lunged.

The Sliver's head met the control panel of his device at the same moment that the superturtles came running into view, and the Turtle Titan could only manage a brief wave of greeting before the world around them erupted back into a whirlwind of color and light.

He shoved the Sliver along the control panel, setting off buttons and bells and whistles he hadn't even known were there, and the blues and reds and purples and oranges all flared into minty green with a deafening shriek before being replaced by an unfamiliar star-like pale yellow.

The Sliver shrieked in rage, and he probably said something as he did, but the Turtle Titan couldn't make it out over the worrying creaking of the dimension-jumping machine, the two arches crossed over their heads beginning to visibly warp.

The Turtle Titan's footing slipped, and he had to grab onto a metal outcropping one more time or risk being lost to the-

-"Welcome to endless wonder."-

-there weren't any turtles-

-"Let's go steal a-"

-why weren't there any turtles-

"-the Serpent Brotherhood from-"

-he'd thought the multiverse would collapse without any turtles-

-and the whirlwind vanished from all around him, leaving him with only the natural laws of physics spinning him, the machine, and the Sliver in circles as they plummeted from a clear blue sky.

"YOU IMBECILE!" the Sliver shrieked as they fell. "We are further now than I have ever been!"

The Turtle Titan hauled himself back onto the platform, pulling against the spinny force threatening to chuck him clear across the sky if he slipped. "Sucks to be you then, huh?"

The Sliver snapped his teeth furiously at the Turtle Titan, but then his eyes widened and he leapt from the platform entirely.

The Turtle Titan only managed to see the approaching sea, process that it was getting scary close, scary fast, and take the deepest breath he'd ever taken in his life before he and the Sliver's machine crash-landed into the ocean in a splash big enough that it would probably make for breaking news in a few minutes.

If this dimension even had the concept of breaking news, anyway.

As the Turtle Titan made sure what little he had of Nano hadn't shorted out in the water, and as he pushed away from the machine and started swimming for a promising-looking sewer-like tunnel in the distance, he wondered idly in the back of his mind-

-where exactly might the news of their crash-landing break first?

In the annex of a library accessible from a bridge in Portland, Oregon, a book began to glow an almost panicked pale yellow, and the caretaker of the annex couldn't quite shove down the grimace that rose to his face.

Top 5 Worst Films of 2024

Fair warning: this one's going to consist of films that were less bad than disappointing. Whoo. This is going to be controversial. And also contain some spoilers. Here goes:

5. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

I like that George Miller didn't do Fury Road 2.0 structure-wise. Unfortunately, there's not much else to add to the things I liked. Anya Taylor-Joy was fine, I guess, and Chris Hemsworth was relishing the chance to play a dickhead in a big-budget film. There weren't many stakes given that it's a prequel, and the greenscreen was very obvious at times. The whole thing was a letdown that left me cold.

4. MaXXXine

The worst of the X trilogy by a country mile. The killer was very obvious (who else could it be but Maxine's dad?), and the film in general seemed disinterested in itself. The ending was also pretty lazy, and the behind-the-scenes shit didn't help either. On the other hand, I finally learned that "Bette Davis Eyes" was called "Bette Davis Eyes". That's that in its favour, I guess.

3. The Crow

If I had £1 for every second cinematic adaptation of a well-known piece of literature that starred a Skarsgard in a prominent role, featured a composition by Enya, and bombed at the box office, I'd have £2. Not a lot, but given how weirdly specific this particular instance is, it's weird that it happened twice. The only difference is that the other one is good and deserved better overall, whilst the only part of this disaster that deserved better was the opera house sequence.

2. Megalopolis

Not much to be said that hasn't already been said by other people. An overlong obnoxious display of self-fellating that was excruciating to sit through. Sidenote: this is the third year in the row that a film starring Nathalie Emmanuel has appeared on the worst list. Honey. Fire your agent.

Honourable mentions:

In a Violent Nature: Most of it is great; it shaped up to be a really refreshing take on the slasher genre. However, it shits the bed when the final girl is rescued and the driver starts spelling out the themes of the film. I know decent attention spans amongst people are in short supply these days, but the problem is not that bad, surely?

Imaginary/ Night Swim: Putting those two together because they're basically the same film. Imaginary's Jeff Wadlow's first attempt at film since 2020's Fantasy Island, almost the very last film I saw in cinemas before the pandemic hit (and my resentment at that has latched onto Wadlow himself). As for Night Swim... just stick with the short.

And now, the worst fucking thing I saw this year:

1. Borderlands

I'm going to copy and paste what I said elsewhere:

Eli Roth has directed two films that are not hard 18-rated love letters to '70s and '80s slashers: the 2018 PG-rated fantasy comedy The House with a Clock in its Walls and this year's 12-rated video game adap Borderlands. The fact that The House... - again, a PG-RATED FANTASY COMEDY - feels more like an Eli Roth film than Borderlands should tell you everything you need to know about Borderlands.

I was begging for the death of Jack Black's character, and I have no idea what Gina Gershon, Cate Blanchett, and Jamie Lee Curtis were doing here. Congratulations to Avi Arad on his directorial debut. Just a shame it's another crime for which Israel needs to apologise.

MIKEY!! For sure.

I think part of it is because I relate to him in some ways. He's like... the textbook image for adhd, and with that comes a lot of the struggles that people with adhd have (me lol). He's kinda underestimated, because he can be really spacey and not pay attention, which people tend to take as a type of laziness. Thats amplified when you add in the fact that he is a literal ninja and that spaciness can lead to much greater consequences than just daydreaming in class. It really represents the kind of struggle that I feel with adhd sometimes, on one hand I do actually need help with remembering things sometimes. On the other hand it frustrates me when people assume that I can't remember things. Mikey is oftentimes clumsy (here I'm talking about 2012 specifically) and so his brother nag him a lot about it. Again, on one hand when he spaces out or forgets things it can literally mean death, on the other, his brothers can be really harsh about how they try to keep him safe. Mikey 2018 has the same problem with Raph. Sometimes he needs help, sometimes he doesn't, but Raph keeps on stepping in because he wants to protect his brother. Sometimes its justified, sometimes its not. It can be very confusing for both parties and Mikey's interactions with his brothers shows that very well, even if I'm not sure if the writers did that on purpose.

He also has a very happy and bright personality, and that just is fun in a character for me! I like it when they wear their heart on their sleeve like he does. He's goofy lmao.

The other part of it is just that he is the youngest of his brothers, and I am the eldest child. I think I kind of envy that freedom I guess? Not in a bad way (and I love my little brother to bits), but it's fun to step into the mind of a younger sibling.

Oh- and 2012 Mikey has a surfer voice/California kind of lingo and as someone who lived for most of their life in California I find it hilarious.

And because you asked for details... my next fav is Leo or the 2018 Raph because I can relate to them from the perspective of the eldest. Like... oftentimes you have to (and are taught to) think of your younger sibling first. And then again, with the whole being ninjas thing it causes them a great deal of anxiety. So it's fun to explore what they must be thinking because I can relate.

I just saw your 2018!ronin and 2012!tot comic and wow it’s so painful thinking of somehow Mikey getting into 2012’s universe and then staying to help raise the tots knowing what happens in 2012 while they’re teens. I very interested in seeing how his relatioship with the 2012 characters develop (if he decides to stay) does he stay Mikey or does he go with Ronin? Will he ever tell the tots where he came from or who he is? Will Mikey ever be happy??

Is there a name for this AU that I missed? Or a specific tag for it?

we actually have a few lil comics thought up for how he got there! we just haven't had time to work on anything between work and being a system with people who want to do other things 💔 but we plan on trying to draw it sooner or later >:)c

he goes by ronin! he doesn't tell anyone who he actually is, and he tried once to explain to splinter how he got there but ultimately decided to make up an excuse

as for will he ever tell them? mm we're not sure how yet but yeah! waaayyy later down the line tho we wanna have the reveal be centered around ronin's mystics but we haven't had any good ideas on how yet

and yeh he'll be happy eventually! not completely l, but enough and thats all that matters ❤️

So I wanted to do another take on something with TMNT! I had so much love with the previous one, so I wanted to say Thank You!

Now on to what I want to talk about his the concept of a “Teenager”. Mind you I am a HUGE NERD & FAN! Of TMNT always have been and forever will be.

Although I do have my constructive criticism here and there. Because I watched all of them from the old comics, to the first series and movie. All the way to basically… Now lol

As everyone know the lovely TMNT had another movie called, “Mutant Mayhem.” I will say it’s cute and all and them trying to do something different. I’m not going to over hype it, it was nice. It wasn’t like bad.

But the main thing I didn’t like(mind you it’s just an opinion lol), is them saying there finally TEENAGERS! Like they look,act, and voice by actual teenagers.

Now being voiced by real teenagers is cool and a nice difference. But look and act like teenagers, from all the ones I watch they ALWAYS act like teenagers when they aren’t in fight mode.

Lol here me out Most teenagers look different and act different in there own ways. Through my time when I use to be in Highschool, when I use to be a Teenager. I seen some teenagers that look like adults! Like some of them I couldn’t believe was in my school and mistook them as someone that wasn’t a student. There are also some that look like little kids that are high schoolers and act like kids. So looking and acting like a teenager is relative.

Me saying that is taking into the account of when people were talking about the design of the 2014 & 2016 TMNT film

Mind you to me teenage age begins from 13-20 at the least 13 more so leaving out of your middle schooler phase into a Highschooler.

TMNT 2014-2016 - They gave me the age of 18-19 yrs. old based on there look and behavior. Especially Mikey, but they are still categorized as a Teenager. With sometimes Teenage behavior like all of them show at time.

TMNT 2003 - They gave me 16 or 17 year old vibes they were jokable and played a lot. Even certain serious times depending on how serious. But still Teenagers.

TMNT 2018-2019 - They gave me 14-15 year old vibes. They play around and immature a lot of times even during majority of serious moments.

TMNT MUTANT MAYHEM - They gave me 13 year old vibes. Turtles slowly or just started to enter there teenage year and trying to come out of that middle schooler energy type phase.

All in all they were STILL TEENAGERS! This isn’t the first movie where they are and act like teenagers. They always do at certain time, but as you grow older and at the stage of leaving from those teenage tendencies. You act a bit more mature.

Now I didn’t age range all of them, that’s because these were the best examples to really gauge there characters. Because these were really good, different, unique adaptations. The ones I didn’t mention were similar to the ones above as well.

Now again this is just my opinion, and I don’t be bias for a specific TMNT. But a fair analysis over all of them, I won’t say what TMNT adaptation is better. I do enjoy the 2003 but I love all of them as I watched all of them across, and one may have something another is lacking and so on. So it’s hard to say what is better, each one has it’s own flavor and spice. That one person may like it and another may not, and that’s completely fine.

I just don’t like when people say this recent movie, this is the first time they’re teenagers. Probably the first time voiced by teenagers(Kudos with that). But this is not the first they act like one.

Because they act like teenagers in each adaptation, just possibly a different teenager age range or just another kind of teenager.

I love TMNT, and always will. Every TMNT is great to me in it’s own way, and any and everyone is free to agree or disagree. :>
