i did something insane and made minecraft map art of the four pulp album covers !!!

the images on the left are a bird’s eye view, and the right are the actual maps :]

more than 52 hours of work and a total of 65,536 hand placed blocks all the while listening to pulp :D (a total of seven times heehoo)

shoutout to the folks at brp for keeping me motivated and sane while working on this the past week love y���all

Sunrise in the Kingdom of Mossland

I started this project because I really like Minecraft, and no one wanted to play it with me, so I fired up a new creative world, found a spot I liked, and got to work. Shortly after starting my project, I decided to make a tumblr blog to catalogue my progress and I recently realized it is now two years since I made that decision, and so, I turned on the shaders, set the time to sunrise, and took some glamor shots of some of my favorite parts of the project.

A lot has happened in the last two years, and some of it wasn't awful, but I really didn't expect this to actually become "something". I never really had people to share my builds with, and did not expect anyone to find this, but they did, and as of typing this, I have made 102 posts, have 223 followers, and have received hundreds of likes on my posts. Sometimes people even ask me building questions and it genuinely makes my day.

I don't mean to get too sappy, but thank you all for finding my little blog. I don't really know what I'm doing, or how this all works (my profile picture is still off center), but I look forward to continuing my blog and watching it grow.

We saw The Minecraft Movie! Correction: we saw A Minecraft Movie. This movie is a Minecraft movie, because someone had to make it. It stars Jack Black because of course it does. In the film, lights and colors appear on the screen and people in the audience laugh when characters say that their butt hurts. It is truly a magical time at the cinema and we can only hope that this Minecraft Movie is not the only Minecraft Movie.

I remember the time I recreated the whole Undertale ruins on Minecraft for my friend to play it, I'll add the images under the cut

it even had a title screen

this is the part where the game tells you the lore. As my friend read the texts, me and my other friend acted as the humans and the monsters

this part took me a lot to make cause i had to make the wrong blocks to disappear when you stepped on them

even more traps where you need to find the hidden lever

the balcony where you can get the toy knife

and the ruins ended just before entering toriel's house

This project was really huge, sorry for the large post lol 😭
