While these shots are in creative, I've already built the island, trunk and branches in survival on the ROG SMP. Lots and lots of grinding. Like, a week's worth, at least, and around 15 hours of build time, all done solo. Still need to place all of the leaves, but I've already gathered all the mats!
Why did I design this massive tree and island, you ask? Why, to hide my industrial area which currently includes: guardian farm, super smelter, cactus farm, and guardian farm's afk spot (which is also a tree farm), of course! That's the sane thing to do, right?!
Island: cyan terracotta, stone, moss, grass, tuff, mycelium, cobblestone, dirt, sea lanterns, moss carpet, and glow lichen
Bark: acacia wood, basalt, sea lanterns, gray carpet, and glow lichen
Leaves: green stained glass & panes, lime stained glass & panes, yellow stained glass & panes, azalea leaves, oak leaves, moss and soooooo many sea lanterns.
Shaders: ComplimentaryReimagined
Below is where it's at in survival. So hard to get ALL of it in a screenshot and looks a bit odd due to the lower view and FOV. It's 100% spawn proof to keep the guardian farm rates from falling.

Almost 300,000 blocks total when done (not including the farms themselves), and goes from sea level to build height.

Hello all 👋 I posted this on tiktok so I'm posting it here too.
Crk meets minecraft but it's me and my friends playing (hence the colors and slight design change in bsc)
Context: SOMEONE ( @toontruelove ) decided to go tree chopping at NIGHT and the healer had to go save them xD

The autism be hittin so I made a taxonomic tree for all naturally occurring Minecraft animals
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notes/Explanation:
This evolutionary history is based off of the order in which mobs were added to the game, with most modern animals having evolved from the mobs that were present when the game was originally released. As such, this taxonomy is pretty much entirely divorced from reality - as I’m sure you can see lol. The in-world explanation for this is that there was a mass extinction event (a few of the victims of which are still listed in this tree, marked with: (ex)) that wiped out most of the life throughout the realms.
This tree does not include any constructed organisms because they’re not related to any naturally occurring animals. They’re essentially derived from an entirely different origin of life - meaning they’re in no way related to the animals listed here.
This tree also does not include any undead organisms, honestly because I just haven’t fully figured out what to do with them yet. At some point I’ll figure out where they fit into this world’s natural history, but today is not that day.
This tree ALSO doesn’t include any non-animal organisms, hence why some other mobs (Wardens, Creakings) aren’t present.
Fun bonus! Originally I didn’t plan to explore any real-world animals in Minecraft (ex. wolves, cats), but this new taxonomy makes them wildly different than their earthen counterparts! So, I think I will at least make designs for many of them, since it seems fun to reconstruct a cat on wolf hardware.
A Closer Look: Vertebrates
A Closer Look: Conchosomites
If you have any questions, comments, or you want to learn more about a specific point on this tree - please send an ask! I’d be happy to answer any :)

Hermit-a-Day May, day 15: Jevin + shadow box (wip)
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Minecraft YouTuber iJevin. He is walking through a forest, arms swinging at his sides. The drawing is arranged in layers of solid silhouettes in different shades of brown, with dark umber tree trunks, roots, and branches around the edges representing the foreground. Each subsequent layer of trees is inset from the previous one and a slightly lighter color. The trees eventually fade into solid white, giving the illusion that the scene is being lit from behind. Jevin himself is silhouetted in the midground in golden brown. He is wearing loose pants and a hoodie. Through his head, a cracked skull in a lighter shade can be seen, making his flesh seem translucent. ./End ID]
Today's style/medium is a shadow box! Also known as a light box. Or a papercut shadow box/light box. In a shadow box, layers of paper with carefully cut designs are arranged so that, when a light is shone from the back, it creates depth and value. The areas with the most layers of paper are the darkest, and the areas with the fewest are the lightest. The process is actually a bit like creating that glass fog effect in Minecraft--layers separated by air, then lit up from below. Unfortunately, I didn't actually have time to cut out all those intricate details from paper this evening, so y'all get the digital version for now. Keep reading for a couple fun facts and some rambling!
Fun fact the first: his skull is cracked solely because it's physically impossible, in this medium, to have areas of a darker color suspended in a lighter one. You can have suspended areas of light just fine, by simply cutting holes in the layers closer to the foreground. But darker? Gravity prohibits it, because there's nothing to adhere floating dark bits to. So if I wanted the skull to have eye sockets, they needed to have some kind of anchor to the rest of that color's layer.
Fun fact the second: his skin was originally a lighter shade, and his skull was darker, because that's how light would actually filter through translucent slime. But that would mean the skull was a floating patch of darker color and that doesn't work either. And that's barely the tip of the iceberg of the logistical headache that this piece was. Good glory this thing was complicated. And I haven't even made it irl yet! I'm so happy with how it looks so far, though, you have no idea.
Thanks for reading! Happy arting!

Various characters as sky children! There are a few more I think I wanna do in the future, but for now this is it :]
Most of these you could possibly make actually outfits out of in the game, but I did take some creative liberties at times (a lot with Charlie’s design)
(Characters below, in order;)
Qsmp Quackity, Qsmp ElQuackity
Qsmp/Realms smp Philza
Realms smp Tubbo
Qsmp Charlie (more specifically during his code infected arc)
Qsmp Codeflippa, Qsmp JuanaFlippa
And a few design rants;
So Tubbo’s design was just fucking perfect when it came to finding outfits and hair that matched the Minecraft skin. I also made the two Q’s designs very similar, because at first glance ElQ seems a lot alike to Quackity. So much so that some ppl who watched someone else’s pov didn’t even realize he had been replaced.
Meanwhile the two Flippa’s look extremely different, because they also acted extremely different. On top of that, both Codeflippa and ElQ only have the base emote. While their original counterpart has a higher level. :] just a fun detail I thought I’d sneak in there
Charlie has the wounded warrior pose and outfit, with bits of the darkness plant creeping over him as a nod to his code infection in canon. I image that he originally had one cape, but then it started to break and tear due to the darkness so he stitched the cape to match onto his old one.
What was his original cape you ask?
:]
Pleaful parent cape. You may cry now.
And it may not be very noticeable, but Phil’s emote is also a higher level than the base. And technically mid-emote. Also I just- couldn’t help myself - couldn’t stop myself from giving the old man that cunty hairstyle.
The two Q’s have a yellow version of the dream ultimate cape btw. And ElQ’s mask is an altered version of Quackity’s, it doesn’t exist in game.
Charlie also has one of the horns/small tree branch broken off to sorta mimic the stick he has in his hair. Also one may be wondering why their hair is all colored, and that’s just because I didn’t want them all to have white hair

“Fans” of Minecraft will look at the Pale Gardens and go “what’s the point besides a new wood type? Where’s the loot?”
And I’m over here going: “omg… garden implies cultivation. Those creaking hearts weren’t natural. Why was this “garden” created? Who designed the creaking? Were they used for protection? What were they protecting? Were they a failed precursor to the iron golem? Why is the wood so desaturated and lifeless? Do the creaking hearts suck the life out of the forests? Is that why no mobs spawn there? Why does the heart only wake up at night? How come the creaking has 3 eyes? If it’s protecting something why does it only attack when you look away? If you try to grow a pale oak tree does it have a chance of spawning a heart? Who cultivated the hearts? What energy source was used? Is this a “lost souls of the unknown” type of forest? Holy heck the lore implications are quite staggering!
