What Is The Difference Between Mozambique And Burmese Ruby?
Burmese Rubies are known for their unique color, distinguishing them from other natural rubies. These corundum family gems vary in price and are renowned for their “pigeon blood red” shade. Mozambique Rubies, sourced from East Africa, also showcases a similar hue with minor differences.

When Records Are Broken
Estrela de Fura and the Future of Mozambique Rubies
February 2024
Several years ago, I penned an article entitled “Are Ruby Prices Justified.” The essence of the article explained that fine, gem quality rubies are exceedingly rare and that nothing can change the natural economics involved. Different natural elements must combine to create a gorgeous red hue, and this practically ensures their great rarity. There are only a few locations in the entire world that have been blessed with such minerals.
Followers of my writings- and all sophisticated gem connoisseurs for that matter- appreciate that Myanmar (previously called Burma) is the prime source of such fabled rubies. In fact, the Myanmar origin has developed into a brand name of sorts. Just the mention of a ruby with this origin conjures images of royalty, maharajas, and some of the world’s most famous gemstones. Rubies are exceptionally rare to begin with, but modern science has found the secret sauce that makes the Myanmar variety so mesmerizing. Such rubies exhibit a natural fluorescence which combines with the red color to create a specific color tone often referred to as “pigeon’s blood” within the trade.
However, as this source has been mined for centuries, its yields have become increasingly smaller and lower in quality. The collectors and consumers seeking ultra fine rubies, have been searching for alternative sources and rubies from Mozambique have become increasingly popular and sought after. In fact, a few global jewelry retailers now exclusively offer rubies from Mozambique. Myanmar is simply not presenting the market with enough rubies for these retailers with large volumes of high-end sales. An added challenge is the sporadic political instability in Myanmar. Large volume, global retailers must feed their constant appetite for stones, or consumers will simply dine elsewhere, and so many have now switched their focus to Mozambique.
Some of the Mozambique specimens have underlying secondary colors that detract from their collectability. Brown and other earth tones tend to give rubies a garnet like color- a semiprecious gem that trades at a small fraction of a fine ruby. However, occasionally, the stars are aligned and an absolute one of kind ruby is unearthed in Mozambique.
It has a Portuguese name, Estrela de Fura, or Star of Fura. Fura is the company that unearthed this once in a generation ruby. A massive 101 carat rough was found about a year ago, and the gem world collectively gasped for breath. It’s phenomenally rare to find a rough of this size, but in this case, all experts agreed that the quality of this ruby is ultra fine. After much debate and analysis, the ruby lost almost 50% of its original weight and yielded a 55 carat, one of a kind, ultra fine specimen.
Brilliant Stars routinely cuts color gemstone rough to lose even 75% of its original weight. The goal is to achieve the most perfect gemstone possible while keeping your investment and rough purchase price profitable. However, with such important gems, every single carat you lose in cutting could be US $1Mil+ in losses. Imagine the pressure on the artisan cutter who is tasked with such decisions!
In the case of Estrella de Fura, the magic weight was 55.22 carats. Having seen the gem in person, I couldn’t believe my eyes. With colors that are luscious red with slight purple/ pink undertones, this African ruby looks very much like its Asian counterpart. But what makes this gem legendary is the natural fluorescence that it exhibits. Gems from Mozambique rarely have this added color effect- Truly a once in a generation find. The final bid at auction sold this legendary ruby or US $34.8mil, or US $630,288 per carat. A remarkable albeit justified record for any color gemstone at auction.
It is futile to fight the laws of nature and it is obvious that an ever-increasing majority of high-end ruby sales will be of Mozambique origin. Estrela de Fura’s sale, and at a record price for that matter, greatly solidifies this fact. Mozambique rubies have now been officially crowned and have arrived. Collectors and consumers now have the greatest affirmation possible that Mozambique rubies are the future and must be respected like their Myanmar counterparts.
Behold Estrela de Fura in all its glory!

PERSEPHONE

WHO IS SHE?
Persephone, also known as Kore (meaning "young woman” or “maiden" in Greek), is one of the main deities from Greek mythology, she is the Greek goddess of spring, the dead, the Underworld, grain, and nature.
BASIC INFO:
Appearance: Persephone is typically depicted as a young and beautiful woman, with long, dark hair and eyes. She is often shown wearing a white dress or robe, and she is usually associated with flowers, especially flowering plants that bloom in the spring. She is also often associated with pomegranates, which symbolized her wedding to Hades, and which she ate while she was in the Underworld.
Personality: Persephone is usually depicted as kind, gentle, and compassionate. She is often seen as a mediator and peacemaker, and a defender of the innocent and vulnerable. She is also often portrayed as a motherly figure who is caring and nurturing. She is also sometimes seen as defiant and rebellious, and she is known to have a more powerful side that can punish those who defy her.
Symbols: pomegranate, waxing moon, narcissus, bones, seeds of grain, bats, torch, flowers, and deer
Goddess of: spring, the dead, the Underworld, grain, and nature
Culture: Greek
Plants: asphodel wheat, willow, narcissus, lily, ivy, cherry tree, lily of the valley, daisy, lavender, vines, roses, pomegranates, oak, and hibiscus
Crystals: rose quartz, garnet, pigeon’s blood, rosolite, star diopside, flower agate, grossular, balas ruby, chiavennite, red spinel, clinoptilolite, Mozambique garnet, heliodor, African jade, uvarovite garnet, biotite, green calcite, hiddenite, green agate, African emerald, quantum, vivianite, indigo gabbro, green jasper, diopside, garnet, clinochlore, aventurine, iolite, and snowflake obsidian
Animals: deer, bat, black ram, dove, parrot, and monkey
Incense: rose, pomegranate, jasmine, apple, vanilla, almond, horal, bergamot, and cinnamon
Practices: death magick, ancestor worship, spirit work, growth, bone divination, transformation, embodying the divine feminine, balance, and plant/earth magick
Colours: green, pink, black, light blue, purple, magenta, and yellow
Numbers: 3, 6, and 7
Zodiac: Virgo
Tarot: High Priestess and Ace of Pentacles
Planets: Earth and Pluto
Days: Monday, Friday, Ostara, Beltane, Lammas, Samhain, Lesser Mysteries. Eleusinian Mysteries, Proerosia, Stenia. Thesmophoria, and Heliogenna
Parents: Zeus and Demeter
Siblings: several paternal half-siblings and maternal half-siblings
Partner: Hades
Children: Melinoë, Zagreus, and Erinyes
MISC:
Grains: due to her connection to the cycle of life and death. She is often depicted with grains, such as wheat, barley, and oats, which symbolize the cycle of life and death. These grains represent the cycle of life, as they are sown and then harvested, only to be sown again in a constant cycle. This symbolic representation of death and rebirth aligns perfectly with Persephone's association with the underworld and the cycle of seasons. Therefore, she is associated with grains to showcase the cycle of life and death.
Spring: due to her connection to the changing of seasons and rebirth, she is often depicted as rising from the afterlife in spring, representing the renewal and rebirth of nature. This is because in the Greek myth, Persephone spends part of the year in the underworld with Hades, but returns to the land of the living in spring. Her return symbolizes the return of light and warmth, and the blossoming of nature. Therefore, she is associated with the season of spring as she symbolizes the rebirth and rejuvenation that comes with the new season.
Pomegranates: according to the myth, Hades abducted Persephone and took her to the Underworld, where he forced her to eat a pomegranate. This act was a symbolic gesture of his hold over her, and it was also seen to symbolically represent her connection to the Underworld. The pomegranate became closely associated with Persephone and the Underworld, and it has remained a symbol of Persephone and her association with the Underworld ever since.
Flowers: she is associated with flowers due to her association with spring. She is often depicted holding a bouquet of flowers, or being surrounded by blooming flowers. This is especially the case from the Greek festival of Anthesteria, which was a celebration in honour of Persephone's return from the Underworld. During this festival, people would decorate their homes and temples with flowers, representing the growth and renewal associated with Persephone's return.
Birds: mainly doves, she is frequently depicted with a dove on her shoulder, and she overall shown with doves all around her. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, doves have long been symbolic of peace and tranquility, which aligns with Persephone's gentle and calming nature. Second, doves are often associated with symbols of fertility and rebirth, which aligns with Persephone's connection to the Underworld and spring.
Gold: the Underworld is associated with riches and treasures that are commonly represented in the form of gold. This connection to riches represents the fact that the Underworld was a place of great wealth and abundance, and it represents the treasures that were found there, such as gold, jewels, and precious metals. This is another aspect of Persephone's connection to the Underworld and her role as a divinity of death and rebirth.
FACTS ABOUT PERSEPHONE:
She takes her role in the Underworld seriously.
Her epithets included but were not limited to: Despoina (The Mistress), Melindia (Honey), Aristi Cthonia (Best Cthonic), and Kore (The Maiden).
Unlike Hera and Amphitrite, Persephone didn’t have a husband that constantly cheated on her (she was married to Hades). However, there is a myth about her cheating on Hades with Adonis, depending on the version. As far as I know, Hades did nothing about the matter. I think that implies it didn’t count as cheating to him, or maybe Persephone only loved Adonis as her son, which makes sense to me since she raised him. But yes, it’s perfectly acceptable and legitimate to say she cheated on Hades.
Persephone is often called a spring or vegetation goddess but all that seems to mainly be related to Demeter, her mother, when it’s time for Persephone to return her. Truly incidental. Persephone was much more an Underworld goddess than a flowery Goddess.
There’s evidence to suggest that, as far as religious history goes, Persephone as a character in religion is older than Hades, and was an underworld deity too.
Some sources suggest Persephone was the mother of Dionysus, but to be fair Dionysus has a bajillion origin stories.
As far as I know, and correct me if I’m wrong, it wasn’t too popular to depict Persephone with red hair colours until the Victorian era, when a popular red-headed model was used for a famous painting of Proserpina (the Roman equivalent to Persephone). Before, she had occasionally been depicted with red hair, but black and blonde were just as popular. Nowadays, in media, she’s often portrayed as red or pink haired, although even that trend is dying again.
Some people like to think Persephone was a minor or weak goddess. That was simply not true. She was considered frightening in her own right.
Rose quartz is a go-to stone for me for many gods, Persephone being one of the many.
Someone tried to kidnap her right from the Underworld. Hades had him attached to a chair for eternity.
HOW TO INVOKE PERSEPHONE:
First, set up an altar or sacred space dedicated to her, you can then set offerings such as candles, flowers, and other symbolic items are also essential to respectfully honouring her. Prayers and incantations can be said to her to ask for guidance, support, and her blessings. Meditation and visualization can be used to feel Persephone's presence and connect with her energy. Feast days and holidays can also be celebrated to honour her.
PRAYER FOR PERSEPHONE:
Queen Persephone, goddess of the Underworld. I come before you in humility, I seek to find peace and healing to shed myself of pain and strife. I ask for your guidance and strength in my time of need to weather through the storms of life.

Mozambique's rubies: A blessing or a curse? | DW Documentary
youtube
In Mozambique, agriculture is the mainstay of the economy and the country has a great potential for growth in the sector. Agriculture employs more than 80 percent of the labour force and provides livelihoods to the vast majority of over 23 million inhabitants. Agriculture contributed 31.5 percent of the GDP in 2009, while commerce and services accounted for 44.9 percent. By contrast, 20 percent of the total export value in 2009 originated from the agriculture sector, mostly through the export of fish (mainly shrimps and prawns), timber, copra, cashew nuts and citrus, cotton, coconuts, tea and tobacco.[14]
There are large mineral deposits, but exploration has been constrained by the civil war (1977–1992) and poor infrastructure. The World Bank has estimated that there was the potential for exports worth US$200m by 2005 – in the late 1990s they totaled US$3.6m, some 1% of total exports, and a contribution of less than 2% of GDP. Minerals currently being mined include marble, bentonite, coal, gold, bauxite, granite, titanium and gemstones. Illegal exports from artisanal production are estimated at US$50 million.[original research?]
Mozambique exported its first batch of coal in 2011 and expects to become the world's largest coal exporter. It is also spending about US$50 billion in infrastructure projects to access its coal reserves. Mozambique is reported to have the fourth largest reserves of natural gas in the world, after Russia, Iran, and Qatar.[20]
The Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral[1] (Portuguese: Catedral Metropolitana de Nossa Senhora do Rosário) also called Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, is located in Beira,[2][3] a town in the African country of Mozambique[4] and is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Beira.
Beira is where the Pungwe River meets the Indian Ocean. It is the fourth-largest city by population in Mozambique, after Maputo, Matola and Nampula. Beira had a population of 397,368 in 1997, which grew to 530,604 in 2019. A coastal city, it holds the regionally significant Port of Beira, which acts as a gateway for both the central interior portion of the country as well as the land-locked nations of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
A marina (from Spanish [maˈɾina], Portuguese [mɐˈɾinɐ] and Italian [maˈriːna]: "related to the sea") is a dock or basin with moorings and supplies for yachts and small boats. A marina differs from a port in that a marina does not handle large passenger ships or cargo from freighters.
A fishmonger (historically fishwife for female practitioners) is someone who sells raw fish and seafood. Fishmongers can be wholesalers or retailers and are trained at selecting and purchasing, handling, gutting, boning, filleting, displaying, merchandising and selling their product. In some countries modern supermarkets are replacing fishmongers who operate in shops or fish markets.

Gross national product (GNP) GNP is related to another important economic measure called gross domestic product (GDP), which takes into account all output produced within a country's borders regardless of who owns the means of production. GNP starts with GDP, adds residents' investment income from overseas investments, and subtracts foreign residents' investment income earned within a country. Whilst GDP measures the total value of goods and services produced within a country's borders, GNP focuses on the income generated by its residents, regardless of their location.
Gross National Income (GNI) is the total amount of money earned by a nation's people and businesses. It is used to measure and track a nation's wealth from year to year. The number includes the nation's gross domestic product (GDP) plus the income it receives from overseas sources.

Supporting Striker (Inverted Winger)
Central Winger (False 10)
Overlapping Run/Defensive Winger (Half-winger)
An inverted winger is a modern tactical development of the traditional winger position. Most wingers are assigned to either side of the field based on their footedness, with right-footed players on the right and left-footed players on the left.[65] This assumes that assigning a player to their natural side ensures a more powerful cross as well as greater ball protection along the touch-lines. However, when the position is inverted and a winger instead plays inside-out on the opposite flank (i.e., a right-footed player as a left inverted winger), they effectively become supporting strikers and primarily assume a role in the attack.[66]
The "false 10" or "central winger"[55] is a type of midfielder, which differs from the trequartista. Much like the "false 9", their specificity lies in the fact that, although they seemingly play as an attacking midfielder on paper, unlike a traditional playmaker who stays behind the striker in the centre of the pitch, the false 10's goal is to move out of position and drift wide when in possession of the ball to help both the wingers and fullbacks to overload the flanks. This means two problems for the opposing midfielders: either they let the false 10 drift wide, and their presence, along with both the winger and the fullback, creates a three-on-two player advantage out wide; or they follow the false 10, but leave space in the centre of the pitch for wingers or onrushing midfielders to exploit. False 10s are usually traditional wingers who are told to play in the centre of the pitch, and their natural way of playing makes them drift wide and look to provide deliveries into the box for teammates.
In Italian football, the term mezzala (literally "half-winger" in Italian) is used to describe the position of the one or two central midfielders who play on either side of a holding midfielder and/or playmaker. The term was initially applied to the role of an inside forward in the WM and Metodo formations in Italian, but later described a specific type of central midfielder. The mezzala is often a quick and hard-working attack-minded midfielder, with good skills and noted offensive capabilities, as well as a tendency to make overlapping attacking runs, but also a player who participates in the defensive aspect of the game, and who can give width to a team by drifting out wide; as such, the term can be applied to several different roles.
On occasion, the false-10 can also function in a different manner alongside a false-9, usually in a 4–6–0 formation. Midfield collective of False 9, False 10, Box to Box, Holding, Half Winger, Attacking, Defensive.
Thiago Motta’s ‘Super Offensive’ 2-7-2 Formation Explained: Instead of the traditional way of looking at a tactical set-up horizontally, the Brazil-born manager instead split the field into three vertical lanes. This means he effectively has seven players in the central channel with two players out wide on each flank.
We are not stretching the defensive line itsself, but the space between the defensive line and the goalkeeper

The language emerged from contact between French settlers and enslaved Africans during the Atlantic slave trade in the French colony of Saint-Domingue (now Haiti) in the 17th and 18th centuries. Although its vocabulary largely derives from 18th-century French, its grammar is that of a West African Volta-Congo language branch, particularly the Fongbe and Igbo languages.

Rave's list included the following: the avoidance of textural pattern and regularity in part writing; arpeggiated chord textures with irregular distribution of individual notes of the chord; ambiguous melodic lines; rhythmic displacement of notes within a melodic line; octave changes within melodic line; irregular phrase lengths.
Have the Snare and Kick say, "Hi, How are you?" And the 808 say, "I am good thanks for asking.”
Use progressive House to push the Drums Conversation to either Fast and Punchy for Happy or Slow and Deep for Sad.
In technical terms, "go-go's essential beat is characterized by a five through four syncopated rhythm that is underscored prominently by the bass drum and snare drum, and the hi-hat... [and] is ornamented by the other percussion instruments, especially by the conga drums, rototoms, and hand-held cowbells."[5]
Polyrhythm: In music, a cross-beat or cross-rhythm is a specific form of polyrhythm. The term cross rhythm was introduced in 1934 by the musicologist Arthur Morris Jones (1889–1980). It refers to a situation where the rhythmic conflict found in polyrhythms is the basis of an entire musical piece.[1]
Four-on-the-floor (or four-to-the-floor) is a rhythm used primarily in dance genres such as disco and electronic dance music. It is a steady, uniformly accented beat in 4. 4 time in which the bass drum is hit on every beat (1, 2, 3, 4).[1] This was popularized in the disco music of the 1970s[2] and the term four-on-the-floor was widely used in that era, since the beat was played with the pedal-operated, drum-kit bass drum.[3][4] (Punch 808-Kick)
Polyrhythm 4 on the Floor examples 2:4 or 5:4
Hard trance is often characterized by strong, hard (or even downpitch) kicks, fully resonant basses and an increased amount of reverberation applied to the main beat. Melodies vary from 140 to 180 BPMs and it can feature plain instrumental sound in early compositions, with the latter ones tending to implement side-chaining techniques of progressive on digital synthesizers.

Commercialism is the application of both manufacturing and consumption towards personal usage, or the practices, methods, aims, and distribution of products in a free market geared toward generating a profit.
Commercial art is art created for advertising or marketing purposes. Commercial artists are hired by clients to create images and logos that sell products. Unlike works of fine art that convey an artist's personal expression, commercial art must address the client's goals.
The word 'Commercial' is defined as follows: Concerned with or engaged in commerce. Commerce is the exchange of goods or services among two or more parties.
Craftsmen are committed to the medium, not to self-expression. Artists are committed to their self-expression, not the medium.
A medium of exchange is an intermediary instrument and system used to facilitate the purchase and sale of goods and services between parties.

IMPERIALISM, THE HIGHEST STAGE OF CAPITALISM
Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism,[1] originally published as Imperialism, the Newest Stage of Capitalism,[2][3] is a book written by Vladimir Lenin in 1916 and published in 1917. It describes the formation of oligopoly, by the interlacing of bank and industrial capital, in order to create a financial oligarchy, and explains the function of financial capital in generating profits from the exploitation colonialism inherent to imperialism, as the final stage of capitalism. The essay synthesises Lenin's developments of Karl Marx's theories of political economy in Das Kapital (1867).[4]

A clay-court specialist is a tennis player who excels on clay courts, more than on any other surface.
Due in part to advances in racquet technology, current clay-court specialists are known for employing long, winding groundstrokes that generate heavy topspin; such strokes are less effective on faster surfaces on which the balls do not bounce as high. Clay-court specialists tend to slide more effectively on clay than other players. Many of them are also very adept at hitting the drop shot, which can be effective because rallies on clay courts often leave players pushed far beyond the baseline. Additionally, the slow, long rallies require a great degree of mental focus and physical stamina.
CASAPIANOS MARTYROLOGY ORDER (CATHOLIC COUNTER-REFORMATION)
The Casa Pia is a Portuguese institution founded by Maria I, known as A Pia ("Mary the Pious"), and organized by Police Intendant Pina Manique in 1780, following the social disarray of the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. For almost three centuries, thousands of young boys and girls were raised by Casa Pia, including many public personalities, called casapianos. Casa Pia is Portugal's largest educational institution dedicated to helping youngsters in risk of social exclusion or without parental support. The organisation is composed of ten schools and enrolls approximately 4700 students. In addition to standard schooling, the organisation also provides boarding for children in need. It strives to enable these youngsters to become healthy and successful members of society, by developing intellectual, manual, and physical traits, in an environment promoting spiritual, moral, and religious values. The institution is proud to have had amongst its students many outstanding Portuguese personalities, including politicians, journalists, and artists. A martyrology is a catalogue or list of martyrs and other saints and beati arranged in the calendar order of their anniversaries or feasts. Local martyrologies record exclusively the custom of a particular Church. Local lists were enriched by names borrowed from neighbouring churches.[1] Consolidation occurred, by the combination of several local martyrologies, with or without borrowings from literary sources.
The Canons Regular of St. Augustine are priests who live in community under a rule (Latin: regula and κανών, kanon, in Greek) and are generally organised into religious orders, differing from both secular canons and other forms of religious life, such as clerics regular, designated by a partly similar terminology. As religious communities, they have laybrothers as part of the community.
Clerics regular are clerics (mostly priests) who are members of a religious order under a rule of life (regular). Clerics regular differ from canons regular in that they devote themselves more to pastoral care, in place of an obligation to the praying of the Liturgy of the Hours in common, and have fewer observances in their rule of life.
Lay brother is a largely extinct term referring to religious brothers, particularly in the Catholic Church, who focused upon manual service and secular matters, and were distinguished from choir monks or friars in that they did not pray in choir, and from clerics, in that they were not in possession of (or preparing for) holy orders.[1][2][3][4][5]
In female religious institutes, the equivalent role is the lay sister. Lay brothers were originally created to allow those who were skilled in particular crafts or did not have the required education to study for holy orders to participate in and contribute to the life of a religious order.
Lay brothers were found in many religious orders. Drawn from the working classes, they were pious and hardworking people, who though unable to achieve the education needed to receive holy orders, were still drawn to religious life and were able to contribute to the order through their skills. Some were skilled in artistic handicrafts, others functioned as administrators of the orders' material assets. In particular, the lay brothers of the Cistercians were skilled in agriculture, and have been credited for the tilling of fertile farmland.[1]
Lay sisters were found in most of the orders of women, and their origin, like that of the lay brothers, is to be found in the necessity of providing the choir nuns with more time for the Office and study, as well as creating the opportunity for the illiterate to join the religious life. They, too, wore a habit different from those of the choir sisters, and their required daily prayers consisted of prayers such as the Little Office or a certain number of Paters.[1]
All canons regular are to be distinguished from secular canons who belong to a resident group of priests but who do not take public vows and are not governed in whatever elements of life they lead in common by a historical rule. One obvious place where such groups of priests are required is at a cathedral, where there were many Masses to celebrate and the Divine Office to be prayed together in community.
In modern astrology, Mars is the primary native ruler of the first house. Traditionally however, Mars ruled both the third and tenth houses, and had its joy in the fifth house. While Venus tends to the overall relationship atmosphere, Mars is the passionate impulse and action, the masculine aspect, discipline, willpower and stamina.
Mars rules over Tuesday and in Romance languages the word for Tuesday often resembles Mars (in Romanian, marți, in Spanish, martes, in French, mardi and in Italian "martedì"). The English "Tuesday" is a modernised form of "Tyr's Day", Tyr being the Germanic analogue to Mars. Dante Alighieri associated Mars with the liberal art of arithmetic. In Chinese astrology, Mars is ruled by the element fire, which is passionate, energetic and adventurous.
According to John Clements, the term martial arts itself is derived from an older Latin term meaning "arts of Mars", the Roman god of war, and was used to refer to the combat systems of Europe (European martial arts) as early as the 1550s
A religious congregation is a type of religious institute in the Catholic Church. They are legally distinguished from religious orders – the other major type of religious institute – in that members take simple vows, whereas members of religious orders take solemn vows.
In the Catholic Church, a religious order is a community of consecrated life with members that profess solemn vows. They are classed as a type of religious institute.[1]

Material religion is a framework used by scholars of religion to examine the interaction between religion and material culture. It focuses on the place of objects, images, spaces, and buildings in religious communities. The framework has been promoted by scholars such as Birgit Meyer, Sally Promey, S. Brent Plate, David Morgan, etc.
Physiocracy (French: physiocratie; from the Greek for "government of nature") is an economic theory developed by a group of 18th-century Age of Enlightenment French economists who believed that the wealth of nations derived solely from the value of "land agriculture" or "land development" and that agricultural products should be highly priced.[1] Their theories originated in France and were most popular during the second half of the 18th century. Physiocracy became one of the first well-developed theories of economics.
The Bible typically describes the Heavenly host as being made up of angels, and gives several descriptions of angels in military terms, such as their encampment (Genesis 32:1–2), command structure (Psalms 91:11–12; Matt.13:41; Rev.7:2), and participation in combat (Job 19:12; Rev.12:7). Other passages indicate other entities make up the divine army, namely stars (Judges 5:20, Isaiah 40:26).[1][full citation needed] In Christian theology, the heavenly host participate in the war in Heaven.
The doctrine or theory of immanence holds that the divine encompasses or is manifested in the material world. It is held by some philosophical and metaphysical theories of divine presence. Immanence is usually applied in monotheistic, pantheistic, pandeistic, or panentheistic faiths to suggest that the spiritual world permeates the mundane.
The Dionysian Mysteries were a ritual of ancient Greece and Rome which sometimes used intoxicants and other trance-inducing techniques (like dance and music) to remove inhibitions and social constraints, liberating the individual to return to a natural state.
Religious nationalism can be understood in a number of ways, such as nationalism as a religion itself, a position articulated by Carlton Hayes in his text Nationalism: A Religion, or as the relationship of nationalism to a particular religious belief, dogma, ideology, or affiliation. This relationship can be broken down into two aspects: the politicisation of religion and the influence of religion on politics.
Dioceses ruled by an archbishop are commonly referred to as archdioceses; most are metropolitan sees, being placed at the head of an ecclesiastical province. In the Catholic Church, some are suffragans of a metropolitan see or are directly subject to the Holy See.
The body of light, sometimes called the 'astral body'[a] or the 'subtle body,'[b] is a "quasi material"[1] aspect of the human body, being neither solely physical nor solely spiritual, posited by a number of philosophers, and elaborated on according to various esoteric, occult, and mystical teachings. Other terms used for this body include body of glory,[2] spirit-body, luciform body, augoeides ('radiant body'), astroeides ('starry or sidereal body'), and celestial body.[3] The concept derives from the philosophy of Plato: the word 'astral' means 'of the stars'; thus the astral plane consists of the Seven Heavens of the classical planets. The idea is rooted in common worldwide religious accounts of the afterlife[4] in which the soul's journey or "ascent" is described in such terms as "an ecstatic, mystical or out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in their body of light into 'higher' realms."[5]
The canon law of the Catholic Church (from Latin ius canonicum[1]) is "how the Church organizes and governs herself".[2] It is the system of laws and ecclesiastical legal principles made and enforced by the hierarchical authorities of the Catholic Church to regulate its external organization and government and to order and direct the activities of Catholics toward the mission of the Church.
An institute of consecrated life is an association of faithful in the Catholic Church canonically erected by competent church authorities to enable men or women who publicly profess the evangelical counsels by religious vows or other sacred bonds "through the charity to which these counsels lead to be joined to the Church and its mystery in a special way".[1] They are defined in the 1983 Code of Canon Law under canons 573–730. The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has ecclesial oversight of institutes of consecrated life.[2]
In Christianity, the three evangelical counsels, or counsels of perfection, are chastity (NEVER), poverty (or perfect charity), and obedience (RECKLESS ABANDONMENT).[1] As stated by Jesus in the canonical gospels,[2] they are counsels for those who desire to become "perfect" (τελειος, teleios).[3][4] The Catholic Church interprets this to mean that they are not binding upon all, and hence not necessary conditions to attain eternal life (heaven), but that they are "acts of supererogation", "over and above" the minimum stipulated in the biblical commandments.[5][6]
Catholics who have made a public profession to order their lives by the evangelical counsels, and confirmed this by public vows before their competent church authority (the act of religious commitment known as a profession), are recognised as members of the consecrated life.
The Council of Trent (Latin: Concilium Tridentinum), held between 1545 and 1563 in Trent (or Trento), now in northern Italy, was the 19th ecumenical council of the Catholic Church. Prompted by the Protestant Reformation at the time, it has been described as the embodiment of the Counter-Reformation. The Council issued key statements and clarifications of the Church's doctrine and teachings, including scripture, the biblical canon, sacred tradition, original sin, justification, salvation, the sacraments, the Mass, and the veneration of saints[4] and also issued condemnations of what it defined to be heresies committed by proponents of Protestantism. The consequences of the Council were also significant with regard to the Church's liturgy and censorship.
Initiated in part to address the challenges of the Protestant Reformations,[3] the Counter-Reformation was a comprehensive effort arising from the decrees of the Council of Trent. The effort produced apologetic and polemical documents, heresy trials, anti-corruption efforts, spiritual movements, the promotion of new religious orders, and the flourishing of new art and musical styles.
Tradwave is a Catholic artistic style using synthwave and vaporwave art to promote traditional catholicism. Tradwave usually uses traditional catholic paintings, sculptures, or photographs of saints, given with vaporwave effects, often with a bible verse or quote about catholicism. The art usually tries to convey a resurrection of catholic spirituality in the modern atheist world. Figures often depicted in Tradwave art include Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, Ven. Fulton Sheen, Cardinal Robert Sarah, and Mother Angelica.
Tradwave music often takes the form of two main styles. One of them is catholic hymns with vaporwave effects and traditional Vaporwave/Lo-Fi music. It can also have quotes from modern prolific Catholic figures, such as Ven. The other theme is Fulton Sheen and Cardinal Robert Sarah.
Heavenly Virtues: Another phrase to describe this obedience to the voice is “reckless abandon.” It simply means that we let God do what God wants to do through us. It means if He tells us to do something or say something—we do it.
Intercession or intercessory prayer is the act of praying to a deity on behalf of others, or asking a saint in heaven to pray on behalf of oneself or for others. Intercession of the Saints is a Christian doctrine that maintains that saints can intercede for others. To intercede is to go or come between two parties, to plead before one of them on behalf of the other. In ecclesiastical usage both words are taken in the sense of the intervention primarily of Christ, and secondarily of the Blessed Virgin and the angels and saints, on behalf of men.[2] The doctrine is held by the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox Churches, the Assyrian Church of the East, the Oriental Orthodox churches , and some Lutherans and Anglicans (chiefly those of Evangelical Catholic or Anglo-Catholic churchmanship, respectively).[3] The practice of asking saints for their intercession can be found in Christian writings from the 3rd century onwards.[4][5][6] Catholic doctrine supports intercessory prayer to saints. This practice is an application of the doctrine of the Communion of saints. Some of the early basis for this was the belief that martyrs passed immediately into the presence of God and could obtain graces and blessings for others, which naturally and immediately led to their direct invocation. A further reinforcement was derived from the cult of the angels which, while pre-Christian in its origin, was heartily embraced by the faithful of the sub-Apostolic age. The doctrine of intercession and invocation was set forth by the Council of Trent, which teaches that "... the saints who reign together with Christ offer up their own prayers to God for men. It is good and useful suppliantly to invoke them, and to have recourse to their prayers, aid, and help for obtaining benefits from God, through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who alone is our Redeemer and Saviour".[10] Intercessory prayer to saintly persons who have not yet been beatified can also practiced by individuals, and evidence of miracles produced as a result of such prayer is very commonly produced during the formal process of beatification and canonization.
In short, the gun-toting angel was a multifaceted metaphor. “It undoubtedly also reflected the Catholic Counter-Reformation militaristic rhetoric,” wrote Donahue-Wallace, “which promoted the church as an army and heavenly beings as its soldiers.” These "Harquebusier Angels" or "Arcabuceros" are full-length depictions of winged angels, elaborately dressed, and carrying matchlock guns (harquebuses).
The related term astrolatry usually implies polytheism. In anthropological literature these systems of practice may be referred to as astral cults.
A friar is a member of one of the mendicant orders in the Roman Catholic Church. There are also friars outside of the Roman Catholic Church, such as within the Anglican Communion. The term, first used in the 12th or 13th century, distinguishes the mendicants' itinerant apostolic character, exercised broadly under the jurisdiction of a superior general, from the older monastic orders' allegiance to a single monastery formalized by their vow of stability. A friar may be in holy orders or be a non-ordained brother. The most significant orders of friars are the Dominicans, Franciscans, Augustinians, and Carmelites.[1]
Romans 8:31; Exploring Biblical Imagery is one of the most important keys to interpreting and gaining a deeper understanding of the Bible. The Bible often communicates truth to us through images and patterns.
Throughout history, armed priests or soldier priests have been recorded. Distinguished from military chaplains, who are non-combatants that provided spiritual guidance to service personnel and associated civilians, these priests took up arms and fought in conflicts as combatants. The term warrior priests or war priests is usually used for armed priests in Antiquity and the Middle Ages, and of historical tribes.
Slang: In Romans 8:5-8, Paul presents a compelling contrast between living according to the flesh and living according to the Spirit. The flesh, with its disordered desires and rebellion against God, leads only to spiritual desolation. Martyr, one who voluntarily suffers death rather than deny their religion by words or deeds; such action is afforded special, institutionalized recognition in most major religions of the world. The term may also refer to anyone who sacrifices their life or something of great value for the sake of principle. A religious allusion is a brief reference to a person, event, place, or phrase from religious texts or traditions, without describing them in detail. 5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Martyr/Romans 8 Allusion Slang.
The Roman Martyrology is an official liturgical book of the Catholic Church, with ancient origins, that lists the martyrs, confessors, virgins, and other saints, each on his or her dies natalis, or birthday into eternal life, as well as major feasts of Our Lord and Our Lady.
The Roman Martyrology is also central to the Divine Office or Liturgy of the Hours—a daily set of prayers marking the hours of each day and sanctifying it with worship. During the Office of Readings, specific entries from the martyrology are recited to inform and inspire those in prayer.
Romeu e Julieta (Casapianos Order 1996 Adaptation 18+ Romance Thriller)
While it retains the original Shakespearean dialogue, the film represents the Montagues and the Capulets as warring mafia empires (with legitimate business fronts) and the Capulets were "a Latin family, sort of,"[15] played by Latin-American and Italian actors.[16] It is set in contemporary United States, where swords are replaced by guns[17] (with model names such as "Dagger", "Sword", and "Rapier"), and with a FedEx-style overnight delivery service called "Post Haste".[18] Shakespeare and Impure Aesthetics explores ideas about art implicit in Shakespeare's plays and defines specific Shakespearean aesthetic practices in his use of desire, death and mourning as resources for art. In fiction, a subplot or side story is a secondary strand of the plot that is a supporting side story for any story or for the main plot. Subplots may connect to main plots, in either time and place or thematic significance. Subplots often involve supporting characters, those besides the protagonist or antagonist. Subplots may also intertwine with the main plot at some point in a story.[1]

Specifically, the royal psalms deal with the spiritual role of kings in the worship of Yahweh. Aside from that single qualification, there is nothing else which specifically links the ten psalms. Each of the psalms make explicit references to their subject, the king. Royal (messianic) psalms deal with the king as God's anointed or chosen one. Many are prayers for the wisdom of the king, his long life or success in battle. Some are prophetic in nature in that they also point to the ideal future king, the Messiah or the King of kings. Simple martyrologies only enumerate names. Historical martyrologies, also sometimes called passionaries, also include stories or biographical details. (Reckless Abandonment; Mars Shamanism and Casa Pia Wing Transfer Invocation)
The term "revolutionary martyr" usually relates to those dying in revolutionary struggle.[50][51] During the 20th century, the concept was developed in particular in the culture and propaganda of communist or socialist revolutions, although it was and is also used in relation to nationalist revolutions. In the martyrdom narrative of the remembering community, this refusal to comply with the presented demands results in the punishment or execution of an individual by an oppressor. Accordingly, the status of the 'martyr' can be considered a posthumous title as a reward for those who are considered worthy of the concept of martyrdom by the living, regardless of any attempts by the deceased to control how they will be remembered in advance.[1] Insofar, the martyr is a relational figure of a society's boundary work that is produced by collective memory.[2] Originally applied only to those who suffered for their religious beliefs, the term has come to be used in connection with people killed for a political cause. (Armed Friars and The War for Central Africa between Casapianos and The French; The Fall of Yoruba for Bembé; Arcubusier Angels in Africa)
The Metal Ages is a term for the period of human civilization beginning about 6,000 years ago during which metallurgy rapidly advanced, and human populations started using metals such as copper, tin, bronze and finally iron to make tools and weapons. By heating and shaping metals in hot furnaces, humanity also learned to use precious metals such as gold and silver to make intricate ornaments.[1][2] With these technological adaptions, human society became more productive and human settlements became larger and more prosperous, but also more violent.[3] The Metal Ages are divided into three stages: the Copper Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age.[1][2] (Calcium Age of Mozambique)
Religious practices in ancient Greece encompassed a collection of beliefs, rituals, and mythology, in the form of both popular public religion and cult practices. The application of the modern concept of "religion" to ancient cultures has been questioned as anachronistic.[1] The ancient Greeks did not have a word for 'religion' in the modern sense. Likewise, no Greek writer known to us classifies either the gods or the cult practices into separate 'religions'.[2] Instead, for example, Herodotus speaks of the Hellenes as having "common shrines of the gods and sacrifices, and the same kinds of customs."[3] Various religious festivals were held in ancient Greece. Many were specific only to a particular deity or city-state. Altogether the year in Athens included some 140 days that were religious festivals of some sort, though they varied greatly in importance. (Festival Martyrology)
Gnostic cosmogony generally presents a distinction between a supreme, hidden God and a malevolent lesser divinity (sometimes associated with the biblical deity Yahweh)[1] who is responsible for creating the material universe. Consequently, Gnostics considered material existence flawed or evil, and held the principal element of salvation to be direct knowledge of the hidden divinity, attained via mystical or esoteric insight. Many Gnostic texts deal not in concepts of sin and repentance, but with illusion and enlightenment.[2] Gnostic writings flourished among certain Christian groups in the Mediterranean world around the second century, when the Fathers of the early Church denounced them as heresy.[3]
The original sense of apotheosis relates to religion and is the subject of many works of art. Figuratively "apotheosis" may be used in almost any context for "the deification, glorification, or exaltation of a principle, practice, etc.", so normally attached to an abstraction of some sort.[1] In religion, apotheosis was a feature of many religions in the ancient world, and some that are active today. It requires a belief that there is a possibility of newly-created gods, so a polytheistic belief system. The major modern religions of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism do not allow for this, though many recognise minor sacred categories such as saints (created by a process called canonization). A mural crown (Latin: corona muralis) is a crown or headpiece representing city walls, towers, or fortresses. In classical antiquity, it was an emblem of tutelary deities who watched over a city, and among the Romans a military decoration. Later the mural crown developed into a symbol of European heraldry, mostly for cities and towns, and in the 19th and 20th centuries was used in some republican heraldry. (Mural Crown Wing Transfer)
In religious studies, an ethnic religion is a religion or belief associated with notions of heredity and a particular ethnic group. (CHAMA ROXA)
An illusion is a distortion of the senses, which can reveal how the mind normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. Although illusions distort the human perception of reality, they are generally shared by most people.[1] (Sensory Process Sensitivity)
Capricornus is one of the 88 modern constellations, and was also one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Claudius Ptolemy. Its old astronomical symbol is (♑︎). Under its modern boundaries it is bordered by Aquila, Sagittarius, Microscopium, Piscis Austrinus, and Aquarius. The constellation is located in an area of sky called the Sea or the Water, consisting of many water-related constellations such as Aquarius, Pisces and Eridanus. It is the smallest constellation in the zodiac. (Men)
Leo Minor is a small and faint constellation in the northern celestial hemisphere. Its name is Latin for "the smaller lion", in contrast to Leo, the larger lion. It lies between the larger and more recognizable Ursa Major to the north and Leo to the south. Leo Minor was not regarded as a separate constellation by classical astronomers; it was designated by Johannes Hevelius in 1687.[2] (Women)
Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late 1970s.[4][5] Initially, dancehall was a more sparse version of reggae than the roots style, which had dominated much of the 1970s.[6][7] In the mid-1980s, digital instrumentation became more prevalent, changing the sound considerably, with digital dancehall (or "ragga") becoming increasingly characterized by faster rhythms. Key elements of dancehall music include its extensive use of Jamaican Patois rather than Jamaican standard English and a focus on the track instrumentals (or "riddims"). Dancehall saw initial mainstream success in Jamaica in the 1980s, and by the 1990s, it became increasingly popular in Jamaican diaspora communities. In the 2000s, dancehall experienced worldwide mainstream success, and by the 2010s, it began to heavily influence the work of established Western artists and producers, which has helped to further bring the genre into the Western music mainstream.[8][9][10] (DOS SANTOS was this first generation of Dancehall Consumers)
5 SENSES CITY MARTYROLOGY BIBLE: LIGA CASAPIANOS (GOVERNMENT)
A congress is a formal meeting of the representatives of different countries, constituent states, organizations, trade unions, political parties, or other groups.[1] The term originated in Late Middle English to denote an encounter (meeting of adversaries) during battle, from the Latin congressus.
A federation (also called a federal state) is an entity characterized by a union of partially self-governing provinces, states, or other regions under a federal government (federalism). In a federation, the self-governing status of the component states, as well as the division of power between them and the central government, is constitutionally entrenched and may not be altered by a unilateral decision, neither by the component states nor the federal political body without constitutional amendment.
The League of Corinth, also referred to as the Hellenic League (Greek: κοινὸν τῶν Ἑλλήνων, koinòn tõn Hellḗnōn;[a] or simply οἱ Ἕλληνες, the Héllēnes),[3] was a federation of Greek states created by Philip II[4] in 338–337 BC. The League was created in order to unify Greek military forces under Macedonian leadership (hegemony) in their combined conquest of the Persian Achaemenid Empire.[5][6][7]
The League was governed by the Hegemon (leader)[21][22][23] (strategos autokrator[24][25] in a military context),[26] the council (Synedrion),[27] and the judges (Dikastai). Delegates of the member-states (Synedroi) were responsible for administering the common affairs of the League. They were summoned and presided over by a committee of presiding officers (Proedroi), chosen by lot in time of peace, and by the Hegemon in time of war.[19] Decrees of the league were issued in Corinth, Athens, Delphi, Olympia and Pydna.[28] The League maintained an army levied from member states in approximate proportion to their size, while Philip established Hellenic garrisons (commanded by phrourarchs, or garrison commanders) in Corinth, Thebes, Pydna[29] and Ambracia.
Heortology or eortology is a science that deals with the origin and development of religious festivals,[1] and more specifically the study of the history and criticism of liturgical calendars and martyrologies*.

Chapter Seventy-Six — The Dead Woman’s Will
The room was quiet except for the occasional rustle of linen or the hum of the television someone forgot to turn off. Emori was asleep again, tucked into her silk hospital gown, her body still too fragile to remain awake for long stretches. Her face was turned slightly toward the wall, and the black AMEX card that had upgraded all of their lives to surreal levels of comfort sat untouched on the bedside tray. Tay stood at the foot of the bed, arms crossed, a rare stillness to her energy. Jey was hunched in a plush chair flipping through a velvet binder that had been delivered without ceremony, dropped off by hospital staff with a sealed envelope resting on top. Jimmy sat on the couch, elbows on his knees, eyes trained on the floor, the weight of the past few weeks dragging his posture low.
“This shit is wild,” Jey muttered, flipping another page.
“That's one way to put it,” Tay murmured. “Read the list again.”
Jey looked up, brow furrowed, but complied.
“Assets personally held under Emori Monique Carter or entities affiliated with her include: One fully paid 2.2 million dollar beach house in Miami, title confirmed. Five luxury vehicles: a G-Wagon, two Porsches, a custom Hummer with armored features, and an electric Rolls. Ownership of three LLCs and co-ownership in six others—including the strip club franchise in Miami. Full black card access from two major banks. Lifetime VIP access to several celebrity clubs. Stock in multiple entertainment and beauty companies. Oh, and... gifts from public figures.”
He flipped another page.
“Untraceable jewelry assets include: Mozambique rubies, diamonds of varying cuts, custom watches worth a small country, and other gifted valuables. One of the pages just says, ‘This vault would make the Kardashians cry.’”
Tay blew out a breath, eyes wide.
“Wait—what’s this part?” Jey pulled a smaller envelope from the back of the binder. The handwriting on it was scrawled but undeniably hers. Slanted, messy, and half smudged. Her name was on the outside. Just her name. Not Black Bird. Not Cali. Emori Monique Carter.
Jimmy sat up straighter, and Tay moved to sit beside him, legs touching his as she leaned into his side.
Jey read:
“If you’re reading this, it means I probably died, or I’m too far gone to remember how to tie my shoes, let alone who you are. If that’s the case, please don’t make a big scene. Don’t cry too hard. I probably hated the idea of people crying for me more than anything.
For the three who used to be a part of me:
You each get an equal share of the gold—yeah, like actual bars. Thirty million split three ways. They’re stored in a vault in LA, instructions enclosed. Keep it, burn it, I don’t care.
Jey—keep being brilliant. You always were. I hope you didn’t let your anger eat you alive. Tay—you’ve always been the strongest person in the room. Even stronger than me, even when I faked like I was bigger. I hope your softness never gets punished again.
And Jimmy. I don’t even know what to say to you. I don’t have a name for the grief I feel when I think of you. So I won’t say anything.
If this life gave me anything, it was the brief feeling of being loved. Even if I lost it. Even if I broke it.
Do what you want with the beach house. Burn the cars. Sell the diamonds.
I just hope—whatever anger you have, whatever grief— You find a way to live a good life. Even if I couldn’t.”
Silence.
Tay had her hands over her mouth, eyes glassy. Jimmy had stood up somewhere in the middle and now stood by the window, fists clenched, his back a taut wall of pain.
Jey whispered, “She really thought she was going to die.”
“She wanted to make sure we’d be okay even if she did,” Tay said quietly.
“She was ready to be a memory.” Jimmy’s voice cracked, low and hard.
Jey set the letter down with shaking hands. “Thirty million in gold bars. Real gold. And she didn’t even blink about giving it away.”
“I don’t give a shit about the gold,” Jimmy snapped.
“We know,” Tay said, reaching for his arm. “But it means something. She wanted us to know she wasn’t just gone. She left pieces behind.”
They all turned toward the bed. She stirred faintly, her lips parting in sleep, eyes twitching under her lids. Her curls had been freshly oiled, face gently moisturized. She looked young again. Fragile, but alive.
Tay wiped under her eyes. “She doesn’t remember all of it. Not yet. But she wrote that while she was still in it. All of it. The drugs. The nights. The death wish. And she still thought of us.”
“Then we hold onto this house,” Jimmy said, his voice final. “The beach house. It’s hers. Ours. We don’t sell shit. We protect it. Like she wanted.”
“I’ll call the lawyer,” Jey said quietly.
Tay looked back at the letter and whispered, “She gave us more than any will ever could.”
And outside, the sun began to rise over the Miami skyline, gold light slipping through the windows, warming the cold edges of the room.
Chapter Seventy-Seven: Mid-Care
The room was warm with sunlight and softened by the hush of professionals who didn’t ask questions—they just worked. There was a reverent rhythm to it, almost sacred, as Emori lay half-limp beneath a cotton blanket, her eyes cracked open just enough to show she was present, but not fully there. She didn’t flinch as the gynecologist lifted the hem of her gown to finish her exam. She didn’t blink when the dental hygienist scraped gently at her lower teeth while humming Marvin Gaye. Her hands stayed folded on her chest like she was bracing for something to go wrong.
"Still got unusually strong walls," the gynecologist murmured, more to herself than anyone else, snapping off her gloves and making a note. "Uterus looks fine, no sign of permanent damage. She's holding on in ways most wouldn’t."
The dentist leaned in, swiping a sterile wipe across Emori’s gums. “Good enamel under the damage. Grinding, maybe from stress. Minor decay, nothing we can’t fix.” She turned to the nurse with a smile. “Put her down for deep cleaning next week.”
Jimmy, Jey, and Tay watched in turns—overwhelmed, impressed, exhausted. Tay sat in the corner painting her own toes absently, letting the scent of eucalyptus and peppermint oil from the massage station behind her lull the tension in her shoulders. Jey had two cold cucumbers over his eyes and his curls held up with clips while a woman massaged a thick conditioner into his scalp, half-laughing that the boys had finally been forced into self-care.
Jimmy stood near the window, arms folded, his hoodie still wrapped around Emori’s shoulders even though she was in the hands of a dozen different professionals. He was tense, jaw clenched as he watched the nutritionist hold a palm against Emori’s belly, checking her bloat level after meals.
“She’s gained six pounds,” the woman said quietly, eyes meeting Jimmy’s. “That may not sound like much, but for someone who was two days from organ shutdown, it’s a miracle. She’s responding to the healthy sugars, the hydration… the love.”
Love. He flinched at the word.
In the adjacent bathroom, Emori was carefully washed by two gentle-handed nurses, her body scrubbed and wrapped in warm towels. Her eyes flicked open every so often, but her lips never moved. They were delicate with her. They didn’t rush. Waxing was done slowly, soothingly, her brows trimmed, her lashes cleaned. Her hair was conditioned and braided loosely in a crown that framed her gaunt but softening face.
She emerged in a fresh silk hospital gown in a muted mauve, slouchy soft socks pulled high up her calves. She looked a touch more human.
And in the quiet that followed her re-entry to the room, a man entered. He wore a white lab coat, but no clipboard. Just a tablet in hand and a kind smile. He glanced around, eyes scanning and locking onto Jimmy.
“You’re the tall one, right? Beard. Ex-fiancé,” he asked, walking up and offering his hand.
Jimmy eyed him suspiciously, then shook it.
“Just wanted to let you know,” the man said with an unnerving brightness, “everything’s still viable.”
“What?” Jimmy asked.
The man tapped his tablet. “Her numbers, her levels, your genetic compatibility from the bloodwork we pulled. Everything’s clean. Optimal. Reproductive success won’t be a problem, if that’s ever something you both… consider again.”
Jimmy stared at him, momentarily frozen. “You’re telling me this like it’s good news.”
“It is good news,” the doctor chuckled. “Not every day someone walks out of what she’s been through and still has a shot at real life. Think of it as… options. She’s got them. You’ve got them. She’s young. The body wants to live.”
The doctor exited as quickly as he came, and Jimmy was left standing there, blinking like the ground had just tilted beneath him.
Across the room, Emori sat gingerly on her bed, holding a cup of warm broth in her hands. She looked up at him like she didn’t quite know what had just passed between them—but she felt something shift. She tilted her head.
"You look like you got some bad news or some real good hope,” she whispered, voice hoarse.
Jimmy didn’t answer. He just walked over, sat beside her on the bed, and gently placed his hand over hers.
The others didn’t speak either. In that room of recovery, they all knew one thing: nothing was back to normal—but damn if it wasn’t the first time anything felt possible.
Chapter Seventy-Eight: Glimmers of the Past
When the morning light filtered into the suite, it felt different. There was a sense of calm in the air, a soft change that lingered in the room. Emori lay still, the covers shifting gently as her body rose and fell with each breath. She had been sleeping longer these days—resting in a way that seemed to hold onto something deeper than just recovery. The trembling had stopped. The violent shakes, the wild, unpredictable movements that once defined her waking hours, were gone.
It wasn’t a full return to herself, not by a long shot, but it was progress.
Jimmy stood at the window, staring out at the view. His mind was a maze of thoughts, but it was hard to ignore the physical changes happening right in front of him. Every day, he saw more of Emori’s body returning to a semblance of the woman he once knew—before the drugs, the dark spirals, the pain that had claimed her. The bony face was no longer as sharp, her skin now plump and soft, a glow beginning to return. She no longer looked like a shell of herself, her face no longer etched in hollow lines. Instead, there was a suppleness to her cheeks, a small hint of the warmth that had once made her smile so full of life.
Tay sat beside the bed, eyes focused on Emori as she stirred. It was hard not to notice the difference—the way her eyes weren’t as cold, as vacant, anymore. The once shark-like blackness in her gaze had softened. They were still tired, still worn from the fight, but now there was a faint spark, like a dim flame trying to reignite. Her body, still frail, had gained some weight. The faint color of health had begun to return to her face, and her legs—those wobbly, weak things—had steadied.
Thirty minutes of physical therapy a day now, instead of ten. Every session, every step, was a small victory. No longer did she struggle to stay upright, no longer did she rely solely on the support of her therapist. Emori could stand on her own, albeit shakily at first, but with each day, she was growing stronger. Even her appetite was coming back, slow but steady—her desire for real food returned in bursts of hunger, and when she ate, she ate like someone who had been starved. Slowly but surely, her body was fighting its way back to life.
The nutritionist had taken charge of her meals, carefully monitoring what she put into her body, focusing on rebuilding what she had lost. High-protein meals, healthy fats, fresh fruits and vegetables—the essentials to regaining what was once so frail. She wasn’t just putting on weight; she was nourishing herself for the first time in what felt like forever.
Jey stood in the corner, arms crossed, watching her with a mixture of admiration and wariness. This new version of Emori, this flicker of life, was fragile. Yet it felt more like her than the hollow, broken version they had brought back from the edge of death. But there was still so much work to be done. Still so many moments when she didn’t recognize who she was or the people around her.
But those moments were fewer.
“Jimmy,” Tay said softly, her voice cutting through his thoughts. “Look at her.”
He turned slowly, his heart in his throat as he saw Emori’s hands shifting in the sheets, her eyes slowly blinking open. She had always been beautiful, even at her worst—but now, now she looked like the woman he remembered. Her face, free from the harshness of addiction, held a softness, a vulnerability that was both endearing and heartbreaking.
She let out a small groan, her body stretching lightly, as though testing the limits of her newfound strength. Her eyes opened more fully, though they still looked distant, as though she hadn’t fully emerged from whatever haze clouded her mind. But there was a depth to her gaze—something human, something real.
“Good morning,” she muttered weakly, her voice raspy from disuse. She shifted her head to look at the group, though her focus was still unsteady.
“Morning,” Jimmy said quietly, his voice gentle as he sat down beside her. “How’re you feeling?”
She blinked, trying to gather her thoughts, but there was a brief, fleeting look in her eyes—something that almost resembled recognition. She swallowed hard, her voice low, strained, “Better.”
Her eyes flitted to the small, empty plate beside her bed—empty except for a few crumbs from the meal she'd eaten earlier. She licked her lips instinctively, and Jimmy’s heart clenched as he saw the hunger in her eyes. Not just for food, but for life. For something more than what she had been living.
"How about we get some more food in you?" Tay asked, her voice warm. "Something good, huh?"
Emori’s lips twitched in the faintest of smiles, but it quickly faded. “Maybe,” she said, her voice uncertain. She seemed unsure of herself, her own body still unfamiliar.
Jimmy gently placed his hand on hers, giving her a soft squeeze. “We’re gonna keep going, Emori. We’re gonna get you back.”
She gave him a blank stare for a moment, then nodded weakly. The fight wasn’t over, but today, it felt like they had made it through the worst of it. She was alive. She was here. And for the first time in a long while, there was something like hope in the air.
Chapter 79
Jimmy sat on the edge of the second bed, idly scrolling through the ridiculous list of amenities they now had access to. Gourmet room service. Therapy dogs on-call. A rooftop garden. All thanks to Emori.
She was resting again—or so he thought.
Her voice slid out like smoke, low and hoarse but with enough bite to slice clean through the silence.
“Hey,” she murmured. “Tall. Beard. Mean mug.”
Jimmy turned, brow furrowed. “Yeah?”
Emori shifted on the bed. Her hospital gown was slightly wrinkled, her legs tangled in the soft sheets. She looked half-dead and still too beautiful to be real. Her eyes—though no longer lifeless—held a gleam of mischief dulled only by exhaustion.
“I heard you were my ex-fiancé,” she muttered, almost casually, eyes dipping down, lingering somewhere below his belt and then darting back up to meet his stare. “So maybe you can help me out.”
“…With what?”
She blinked slowly, her voice dipping into a whisper not meant for the others in the room. “I’m having needs.”
Jimmy froze.
“What kind of needs?” he asked, even though he already knew.
Emori gave a slight roll of her shoulder, a lazy, sultry shrug that made the corner of her mouth twitch like she almost remembered how to smirk. “Not water. Not crushed ice. Not cucumber. Not even steak. Grown-ass-woman needs.”
Jimmy stared at her like she’d thrown a brick through a window.
“You’re recovering.”
“I’m breathing. Everything’s starting to work again. That includes that.” She gestured faintly toward her own body. “And before you go noble, Tay’s not doing it. Jey’s got curls and a skincare routine. So…”
She blinked up at him. “That leaves you, fiancé.”
Jimmy exhaled hard, scrubbing a hand over his face. “Jesus, Em.”
Her voice dropped to a whisper so low he had to lean in. “You’re the only one I even halfway remember touching me like that. And if I’m gonna go crazy again soon, I wanna feel something real first.”
The silence afterward was almost comedic. Jimmy just stared at her, red creeping up his neck, stunned stupid.
And Emori? She closed her eyes, as if the offer was nothing, like she hadn’t just upended the air in the room. Like this was survival. Instinct. A flicker of the woman who used to know exactly what she wanted, even if her body still bore the toll of forgetting.
Jimmy didn’t move.
Didn’t blink.
Didn’t breathe.
His jaw clenched, and for a full five seconds, he looked like he was buffering—staring at her with an expression somewhere between shell-shocked and painfully flustered.
Across the room, Tay looked up from her phone and squinted. “You good?”
Jimmy blinked hard. “Yeah, just—uh…” He cleared his throat and looked away, ears tinged red.
Jey arched a brow at the sudden shift in energy, reading Jimmy’s body language like a damn novel. “We were gonna go check out that rooftop spa situation, remember?” he said slowly, nudging Tay. “See what other amenities come with being mysteriously rich and emotionally destroyed.”
Tay glanced between Emori and Jimmy and caught the weird tension immediately. “Right. Yeah. Self-care. You two… take your time.”
Neither needed an explanation. They just walked out—Tay snickering under her breath, Jey shaking his head with a smirk.
The door shut behind them with a soft click.
Jimmy turned back, and Emori was still looking at him, a little more alert than before, the sleep-worn fog in her eyes replaced by something else. Something bold. Her voice was quiet, but her intent came through like a freight train.
“I don’t know how close we were before all this,” she said, shrugging slightly. “But I want to satiate us both.”
Jimmy's brows twitched at the word.
She went on, unapologetically, “Mostly because you’re incredibly attractive. And I would very much enjoy you exploring me… to the edge.”
He inhaled sharply, dragging a hand down his face.
“Emori,” he rasped, voice low. “You just got out of detox. You’re still healing.”
“And I’m still human.” Her voice didn’t rise, but it was firm. “Don’t confuse my survival with some kind of purity. I’m not looking for fantasy. I’m just saying I’m here. You’re here. I feel things in this body again. And you’re the only one who makes me feel safe enough to want something like that.”
Jimmy swallowed hard. His chest rose and fell as he stared at her—really stared. At the weight she’d begun to put back on. At the softness returning to her face. The way her lips moved when she said edge like it wasn’t the first time she’d brought a man there and left him ruined.
“You’re gonna kill me,” he muttered.
She tilted her head. “Only in the best way.”
Chapter Seventy-Nine: Fire Reborn
The silence was thick, like the air just before a thunderstorm. Emori didn’t flinch. She leaned back on the bed, legs parted slightly, Jimmy standing over her like he hadn’t breathed in two minutes.
“Close the door,” she said quietly. Not sultry. Not begging. Just a woman who knew what she wanted and had bled enough for the right to take it.
Jimmy closed it.
With a soft click, it was just them.
Her legs swung over the edge of the bed, feet pressing down on the cold tile, and she stood on her own for the first time in days. Her body trembled—not from weakness but anticipation. She walked to him slowly, the silk hospital gown hugging every part of her that had started to return. Her thighs. Her hips. Her breasts fuller again, her curves reemerging like they'd fought their way back from the grave.
Jimmy’s breath hitched when her fingers reached for his shirt, tugging him down until his mouth was against hers.
No hesitation. No soft start.
Their mouths collided like impact was the only language they knew—teeth, tongue, desperation and ache all rolled into one crashing heat. He wrapped his arms around her like he’d waited years—because he had. She gripped the hem of his shirt and pulled, fists clenched in fabric until it was off and tossed.
Her voice cracked against his mouth. “I want to feel everything. No pillows. No soft lighting. No fucking hesitation.”
He growled low in his chest, catching her under the thighs and lifting her, her legs wrapping around his waist. She gasped at the strength of it—at the feeling of being small in his arms again, at the feeling of him. Her back hit the mattress. He stood over her, stripping off his sweats, her eyes locked on every inch of him, as if his body was a memory her skin had forgotten but her soul hadn’t.
She arched her hips toward him, gown bunched up, heat pulsing. “Give me that work, Jimmy. Make me remember.”
He didn’t answer with words.
He gripped her by the thighs, dragged her to the edge of the bed, and pressed into her—deep, slow, claiming. She gasped, back arching, and he held her there, just letting her feel him inside her for the first time since everything.
Her hands clawed at his back. “F-fuck—Jimmy—”
“I got you,” he murmured. “I got you.”
Then he moved.
Thrust after deep, unrelenting thrust, her body jolted with life. The silk gown slipped from one shoulder. Her hair wild, head thrown back as her body met his rhythm with a hunger that wasn’t delicate—it was survival. Her hands clutched his face, pulling him down to kiss him again, deeper this time. Slow and dirty and raw.
She whispered into his mouth, “Don’t stop. Don’t stop until I forget the drugs. Forget the stage. Forget everything but you.”
He answered with his hips.
The bed creaked. Her moans spilled loud and beautiful into the room, broken up only by the sound of skin and sweat and the wet, perfect rhythm between them. She broke once—completely shattered beneath him, legs shaking, nails raking down his back as her climax ripped through her like a violent resurrection.
But he didn’t stop.
Not until she begged.
Not until she looked at him through tear-filled eyes and whispered his name like it was the only word she remembered from her old life.
“Jimmy…”
He came close then, burying his face in her neck, arms tight around her as his body convulsed with a groan that only she could summon.
They stayed like that. Tangled. Gasping. Alive.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, there were no ghosts in the room. Just skin. Sweat. And something they thought they’d lost for good:
Home.
Chapter Eighty – “No Ring, Just Ruin”
The room was dim—just the soft cast of amber light spilling from the bedside lamp. The silence between them wasn’t awkward; it was loaded. Heavy. Hot. The air had thinned from the moment she murmured that request with such blunt honesty it nearly buckled him.
Now? Now it was all skin and breath and heat. Her legs wrapped around his hips, her fingers locked behind his neck, trembling—not from weakness anymore, but need. His name spilled from her mouth like a prayer as he drove into her slow and deep, steady but starved. Every inch they reconnected felt like a stretch of time unraveling, stretching between the pain of the past and the unknowns of now.
Her nails dragged down his back, not hard, but present. Real.
“You feel like home,” she whispered brokenly against his mouth.
But then she froze.
Tears welled.
Not from the pain. Not from the pleasure. But from a wave hitting so hard it pulled everything out from under her. Her lips parted, eyes locked on his—and he saw it. The storm behind them. The recognition.
She remembered.
She remembered everything.
Selling everything she had. Her car, her jewelry, her dreams.
The tears slid sideways across her cheeks. She clutched at his jaw, her body still quivering around him, but it was no longer about lust.
“I did it for you,” she whispered hoarsely. “I gave it all up so they wouldn’t take you from this world. Sold my life to save yours. And I left, Jimmy. I left without a ring. Without a name. Just ruin.”
His thrusts slowed to a near stop as her body rocked with silent sobs, but he stayed inside her, forehead resting against hers, the gravity of her confession anchoring them both.
“You… remember?” he whispered.
Her lip trembled. “I didn’t just disappear because I didn’t love you. I did it because I did. You would’ve died in there. And no one was gonna save you. So I did. I gave up everything for a man who never even had time to call me his wife.”
He swallowed hard, emotion clawing up his throat.
“And I would do it again,” she said, voice cracking as her legs stayed wrapped around him. “But it broke me, Jimmy. It broke me because I never got to tell you why. I just vanished. And all I ever wanted—was us.”
He pulled her to him, burying himself deeper like it would protect her from the world. From the memory. From the ache. Their movements became less about lust, more about desperation. She sobbed into his shoulder as he rocked into her with reverence, with grief, with love that never died but got buried under years of pain and poor choices.
They unraveled together—he spilling into her as her tears spilled from the corners of her eyes, gasping for him in every way possible.
She was the ex-fiancée with no ring, no closure, and no peace—until now.
Chapter Eighty-One – “The Ring That Never Was”
The room was quiet again, the air clinging to them like the heat hadn’t left. But this time, there was no rush of bodies, no heavy breath or ragged moan. Just her. Emori.
She stirred slowly beneath him, her lashes wet, skin flushed from more than just the intimacy. Jimmy was still there—holding her as if letting go would send her vanishing into that black void all over again.
But she moved. Carefully. Gently. Pulling herself from him with a reverence that made his chest ache. She sat upright on the bed, tugging one of the silk throws over her shoulders, her back to him. Her hands shook in her lap. Her breath hitched.
She didn’t look at him.
That’s when the door creaked open. The unmistakable sound of sneakers and soft laughs drifting in. Tay and Jey had returned—smug, sated, their cheeks pink with the aftermath of whatever they’d been off doing.
But it died in their throats when they saw her. The tension. The shift in air.
Jey’s grin faltered. Tay’s brows pulled together.
Emori didn’t look at them. She didn’t look at anyone. Her fingers clenched the silk tighter around herself, eyes glazed but locked on something invisible.
“You promised me,” she said softly. “You promised, Jimmy.”
He stood slowly from the bed, not bothering to hide the concern in his voice. “Em…”
“You said we were gonna go look at rings.” Her voice cracked. “You said it. That morning before it all went down… we had it planned. I held onto that. I waited for you.”
Tears welled in her eyes again, but this time there was a fire underneath them. A wound being torn wide open as if it never healed.
“But then it all blew up,” she whispered. “And I left. I left to save you, to keep you from rotting behind bars like they said you would. I sold everything. I burned every fucking bridge. And I didn’t even get a ring out of it.”
Silence.
The kind that hums and presses against every wall.
“I don’t even know if I can call myself your ex-fiancée,” she whispered, finally looking up—and straight at him. Her eyes brimmed with more than pain. They brimmed with lost time. With the weight of what she had carried alone.
“I left without a ring. Just heartbreak and shame.”
Tay’s hand slowly lifted to her chest, expression softening with a guilty pang. Jey looked like he didn’t know whether to stay or vanish into the wall.
Emori clocked their stares, her gaze flicking to the side, her voice cracking again.
“Can I—” she swallowed hard. “Can I be alone? With one of the therapists, please?”
Jimmy stepped forward, aching to reach for her.
But she shook her head. She didn’t scream. Didn’t sob. She just stood—shoulders shaking slightly, silk robe clinging to her like armor—and moved toward the hallway. Her feet were bare. Her dignity wasn’t.
A therapist was already waiting outside, as if she knew. As if Emori’s pain called out in a language only the broken could hear.
The door shut behind her.
And Jimmy stood frozen, feeling like the man who had everything but still let it all slip through his fingers.

Sapphire is a precious gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum, consisting of aluminium oxide (α-Al2O3) with trace amounts of elements such as iron, titanium, cobalt, lead, chromium, vanadium, magnesium, boron, and silicon. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin word sapphirus, itself from the Greek word sappheiros (σάπφειρος), which referred to lapis lazuli. It is typically blue, but natural "fancy" sapphires also occur in yellow, purple, orange, and green colors; "parti sapphires" show two or more colors. Red corundum stones also occur, but are called rubies rather than sapphires. Pink-colored corundum may be classified either as ruby or sapphire depending on locale. Commonly, natural sapphires are cut and polished into gemstones and worn in jewelry. They also may be created synthetically in laboratories for industrial or decorative purposes in large crystal boules. Because of the remarkable hardness of sapphires – 9 on the Mohs scale (the third hardest mineral, after diamond at 10 and moissanite at 9.5) – sapphires are also used in some non-ornamental applications, such as infrared optical components, high-durability windows, wristwatch crystals and movement bearings, and very thin electronic wafers, which are used as the insulating substrates of special-purpose solid-state electronics such as integrated circuits and GaN-based blue LEDs. Sapphire is the birthstone for September and the gem of the 45th anniversary. A sapphire jubilee occurs after 65 years.
Sapphire is one of the two gem-varieties of corundum, the other being ruby (defined as corundum in a shade of red). Although blue is the best-known sapphire color, they occur in other colors, including gray and black, and also can be colorless. A pinkish orange variety of sapphire is called padparadscha.
Significant sapphire deposits are found in Australia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Cameroon, China (Shandong), Colombia, Ethiopia, India Jammu and Kashmir (Padder, Kishtwar), Kenya, Laos, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Nigeria, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United States (Montana) and Vietnam. Sapphire and rubies are often found in the same geographical settings, but they generally have different geological formations. For example, both ruby and sapphire are found in Myanmar's Mogok Stone Tract, but the rubies form in marble, while the sapphire forms in granitic pegmatites or corundum syenites.
Every sapphire mine produces a wide range of quality, and origin is not a guarantee of quality. For sapphire, Jammu and Kashmir receives the highest premium, although Burma, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar also produce large quantities of fine quality gems.
The cost of natural sapphires varies depending on their color, clarity, size, cut, and overall quality. Sapphires that are completely untreated are worth far more than those that have been treated. Geographical origin also has a major impact on price. For most gems of one carat or more, an independent report from a respected laboratory such as GIA, Lotus Gemology, or SSEF, is often required by buyers before they will make a purchase.

What are the different origins of ruby gemstone?
Ruby, the fiery king of gemstones, boasts a rich history and diverse origins. Here's an exploration of the captivating corners of the world where these precious stones are unearthed:
The Classic Source: Myanmar (Burma): For centuries, Myanmar (formerly Burma) has been the benchmark for rubies. The Mogok Valley, nestled in the country's northern mountains, is legendary. Geological conditions there created exceptional rubies known for their intense color saturation, purity, and a coveted "pigeon blood" red hue. While political unrest has limited access to these mines in recent years, some exceptional stones still emerge from this region.
The Rise of African Rubies: Africa has become a major player in the ruby market. Mines in Mozambique, Madagascar, and Tanzania are yielding impressive stones. These rubies can display a vibrant red color with a slight orange or purple undertone, distinct from the Burmese rubies. The African ruby market is known for its excellent clarity and larger gem sizes.
Asian Ruby Treasures: Beyond Myanmar, Asia boasts other ruby sources. Thailand, particularly the Chanthaburi province, has a long history of ruby mining. These Thai rubies often have a darker, more brownish-red hue compared to their Burmese counterparts. Sri Lanka, known for its sapphires, also produces some rubies, with a slightly pinkish tinge.
Beyond the Usual Suspects: Rubies can also be found in less common locations like Afghanistan, Pakistan, and even North Carolina in the United States. These regions typically produce smaller quantities of rubies, and the quality can vary.
Unearthing the Perfect Ruby: The origin of a ruby can influence its value and characteristics. Burmese rubies, with their legendary quality and limited availability, often command a premium price. African rubies offer a compelling alternative with their vibrant color and larger sizes.

Sources of Alexandrite Gemstone in the World
The gemstone which is marveled at for displaying the splendid change of color is one of the rarest in the world. Alexandrite is rarer than diamond and is mostly found in sub-one-carat sizes. Even then it commands an envious price in the market and if it’s bigger then it may cost a fortune to own one. Once the alexandrite was discovered in the Ural Mountains in Russia in the 1830s it rose to prominence so fast that the Russian mines were depleted within the next hundred years or so.

Russia
According to some accounts in the year 1830, a miraculous stone was discovered in the Ural Mountains in Russia on the 12th birthday of Alexander II who became the Czar later on. The stone was named after him though it’s still unclear as to when the stone was actually named as such because the term did not appear in the then literature before 1842. The works of Yakov Kokovin related to the discovery of alexandrite was published in the issue44 of the In Color magazine in 2019.

India
At present India is producing alexandrite in substantial quantities. Alexandrite was found in the Raipur District in the state of Chhattisgarh in 1994 though the current production from this region is rather negligible. The other two prominent sites - Narsipattnam and Araku - are in the state of Andhra Pradesh near the city of Visakhapatnam. Odisha is another state in India where alexandrites are mined.
Most of the alexandrites of Indian origin are strong towards the green side of the color spectrum but somewhat weak towards the red. Generally speaking, the Indian alexandrites show satisfactory clarity and color change. Samunda alexandrites, named after the mine, exhibit a remarkable color change from bluish green to purplish-red and are valued highly in the international market.
Sri Lanka
Balangoda & Horana sites in Sri Lanka are known for alexandrite and other gemstones. Srilankan alexandrites are comparatively larger in size than those of other origins, however, the alexandrites found in Sri Lanka possess muddy color tones and show weak color change.
Brazil
Alexandrite was discovered in Brazil in 1987 in the area called Minas Gerais meaning general mines. These mines are also known for producing emeralds. Other mines are Hematita, Carnaiba, Esmeralda de Ferros, Itaitinga, Novo Cruzeiro, Teafilo Otoni, Serra Dourada. Gemstones from this region are prized for their exceptional color change and clarity. Brazilian alexandrite is considered one of the best in the market today.

Madagascar
It seems like Madagascar has a host of gemstones under its belly. Initially, there was a sapphire rush in the 1990s, then came along ruby and afterward alexandrite. Alexandrite was found in Madagascar in the Ilakaka locality of the Fianarantsoa region. These gemstones are quite vivid and include a yellow-green variety of cat’s eyes.
Tanzania
The Tunduru region in Tanzania which borders another country – Mozambique, has produced large quantities of sapphires, spinels, and alexandrites. The Manaya region in the north has also produced some fine alexandrite gemstones.
Zimbabwe
Alexandrites from Zimbabwe are dark and experts consider them suitable for faceting for only small-sized gems. Though the current production in the country is almost non-existent, the Novello deposit of Zimbabwe’s Masvingo district is worth mentioning here.
Australia
In 1930 alexandrite was found near the Dowerin region in the western part of Australia. Since then the mine has yielded many small alexandrite gemstones with remarkable clarity and color change.
Myanmar
Myanmar is primarily known for its ‘Burmese ruby’ though some alexandrite stones were also found in the Mogok region of this country. It has also been reported to produce ‘cat’s eye’. Very little information is available about the commercial mining of alexandrites in this country due to its political state.
Though it is quite common to hear the phrase ‘emerald by day and ruby by night’ for alexandrite, it is also sometimes called the ‘stone prophet’. According to some beliefs, the stone changes its color from green to red irrespective of the lighting if its owner is in danger.
So, if you feel enamored by this amazing gemstone, then you can certainly get a few for yourself from GemsNY where you’ll find certified natural alexandrite gemstones in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Why the Burmese Ruby Commands a Premium Ruby Price Globally
Rubies are known for their deep red beauty and symbolic connection to passion, power, and protection. Yet among all rubies, Burmese rubies are in a class of their own. These gemstones consistently command top-tier prices in both retail and auction markets, leaving buyers wondering—why does the Burmese ruby have such a premium ruby price globally?
This blog explores what sets Burmese rubies apart, focusing on their rarity, color quality, origin, and how these factors affect their ruby cost, ruby value, and overall demand in the gemstone world.
What Makes Burmese Rubies So Valuable?
1. Color Quality: The Iconic Pigeon Blood Red
The most prized feature of a Burmese ruby is its intense, saturated red color—often described as “pigeon blood red.” This vivid hue is the result of the region’s unique geology, rich in chromium and low in iron, giving the gemstone a glowing red tone that is almost fluorescent under sunlight.
This color is not commonly found in rubies from other regions, and it significantly influences both the ruby price and ruby value in the international market.
2. Natural Beauty and Minimal Treatment
One major reason why Burmese rubies stand out is their natural clarity and brilliance. Many high-quality Burmese rubies are untreated or only lightly heated to improve color. In contrast, rubies from other sources often undergo more aggressive treatments to enhance their appearance.
Buyers looking for authentic, untreated gems are willing to pay a higher ruby cost for stones with minimal human interference. The natural state of Burmese rubies enhances their rarity and global desirability.
Rarity and Market Supply
Burmese rubies are becoming increasingly rare due to limited mining and strict government controls. Myanmar has periodically banned or restricted gemstone exports, further tightening global supply.
This scarcity has led to higher market demand, particularly for stones over one carat with exceptional color and clarity. A truly rare ruby from Burma is a treasure in the gemstone industry and commands top dollar at high-end auctions.
Burmese Ruby vs. Other Rubies
To understand why Burmese rubies command a significantly higher ruby price compared to others, it's essential to compare them with rubies from other major sources like Mozambique and Thailand. Each origin offers distinct qualities that impact the ruby’s color, treatment, clarity, availability, and overall ruby cost per carat.
Color: This shade is considered the most desirable among collectors and gemologists. In contrast, Mozambique rubies usually show a reddish-purple hue, while Thai rubies often appear darker, sometimes with brownish tones, which lowers their visual appeal and market value.
Treatment: Burmese rubies are often found untreated or only mildly heated, making them more natural and authentic. On the other hand, rubies from Mozambique are frequently heat-treated to enhance their appearance, and Thai rubies are commonly treated as well. Untreated stones generally fetch a higher price due to their rarity and purity.
Clarity: Burmese rubies are known for their high clarity with fewer inclusions, which contributes to their brilliance and overall value. Mozambique rubies usually have moderate clarity, while Thai rubies vary greatly and often show more inclusions, affecting their transparency and light reflection.
Availability: The supply of Burmese rubies is extremely limited due to strict government controls and reduced mining activity. This scarcity makes them highly sought after. Mozambique rubies are more readily available, and Thai rubies fall somewhere in between in terms of accessibility.
Ruby Cost Per Carat: Due to their superior color, clarity, minimal treatment, and limited availability, Burmese rubies hold the highest ruby cost per carat in the global market. Mozambique rubies are typically priced in the mid-range, while Thai rubies are usually more affordable.
In conclusion, Burmese rubies stand out for their exceptional natural qualities and rarity. These features make them a top-tier choice for collectors and luxury buyers, justifying their premium ruby price in comparison to rubies from other regions.
Certification and Ethical Considerations
Due to the premium ruby price, Burmese rubies are frequently counterfeited or misrepresented. It’s essential for buyers to seek certification from reputable gemological laboratories such as GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or GRS (GemResearch Swisslab).
Moreover, ethical sourcing has become increasingly important to modern consumers. Due to historical concerns with labor and environmental practices, some jewelers now focus on conflict-free or ethically sourced Burmese rubies, which may further impact the ruby cost depending on the supplier’s transparency.
Who Buys Burmese Rubies?
Luxury collectors seeking investment-grade gemstones
High-end jewelry brands designing statement pieces
Astrology believers who associate rubies with power and protection
Investors diversifying into tangible assets with lasting value
For all these groups, the origin and quality of the ruby are critical factors that justify the elevated ruby price.
FAQ Section
1. Why is the ruby price higher for Burmese rubies than others? Burmese rubies have a unique combination of vivid red color, high clarity, and natural beauty. Their limited supply and historic prestige also contribute to a much higher ruby price.
2. Are Burmese rubies always untreated? Not always. However, many high-quality Burmese rubies are untreated or minimally treated, which makes them more rare and valuable in the market.
3. How can I verify the authenticity of a Burmese ruby? Ask for a certification from recognized labs like GIA or GRS. These certificates confirm origin, treatment status, and authenticity, all of which impact ruby cost and value.
Conclusion
Burmese rubies are a rare and timeless gem that consistently command a premium ruby price in the global market. Their striking pigeon blood color, historic value, and limited availability make them a favorite among investors and collectors alike. Whether you're buying for personal adornment or long-term value, a certified Burmese ruby is a true treasure.
As global demand continues to rise, investing in a Burmese ruby today could offer both emotional satisfaction and lasting financial reward.

Ruby (Manik) Stone for Success & Power – What You Need to Know
Rubies have been admired forever, mostly because of their rich, fiery red color. The manik stone is tied to the Sun in astrology, which stands for confidence, leadership, and courage. Many people believe wearing it gives a boost in these areas. It’s like a little spark of power you can carry around. People often choose rubies not just for their beauty but for the energy and strength they represent. The idea is that this stone can help you take charge of your life and face challenges with a bold heart.
How to Tell If a Ruby Is Real
Looking for an original ruby stone? One quick tip: real rubies usually have tiny marks inside, called inclusions. Those little flaws? They’re actually a good thing, they show the ruby is natural. Perfectly clear rubies? Probably lab-made. Inclusions are like the gem’s fingerprint, showing it was created by nature over thousands of years. Another thing to watch is how the ruby shines. Natural rubies often have a subtle depth to their sparkle, unlike synthetic ones that sometimes look too bright or glassy.
And then there’s the color. A natural ruby is a deep, rich red. Sometimes it leans toward purple. If it looks too bright or has an orange tint, it’s probably not the real deal. The hue and tone are what make a ruby truly special, and natural rubies often have variations that add to their charm.

People have worn rubies for centuries, believing they bring protection, success, and even passion into their lives.
Throughout history, rubies were symbols of power and protection. Kings and queens loved them, not just for their look, but for what they represented. This legacy still continues today, as rubies are seen as stones that can inspire courage and drive. Wearing a ruby can be a daily reminder to stand tall and face the world with confidence.

Why Pick a Natural Manik Gemstone
A natural manik gemstone hasn’t been altered by heat or chemicals. These treatments can change how a ruby looks, but many say they take away some of its natural energy. Natural rubies might show slight imperfections or unique characteristics that add to their story. These stones are believed to have purer vibrations and stronger astrological benefits.
If you want the real benefits, go for natural. And ask for a certificate, just to be safe. It proves your ruby is genuine. When buying a natural manik stone, it’s important to buy from sellers who are transparent about the origin and treatment of their gemstones. That way, you can be sure you’re getting a piece with true value and energy.
Why Burmese Ruby (Manik) Is So Famous
The Burmese Ruby (Manik) comes from Myanmar and is famous for its deep, blood-red color, often called “pigeon’s blood.” They’re rare and highly valued. These rubies are treasured not just for their beauty but also for their incredible durability and natural brilliance.
Because they’re popular, there are lots of fakes out there. Buying from someone you trust is super important. Genuine Burmese rubies come with certification and a detailed history. Doves: Aphrodite is associated with doves because of her role as the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and fertility. Doves were considered to be symbols of love, purity, and peace in Greek mythology, and were often used by Aphrodite to express her message of love and desire. In some myths, Aphrodite is said to have a chariot drawn by doves, which are her sacred birds. Additionally, doves were often used in the rituals and celebrations dedicated to Aphrodite, and were sacrificed to her in order to gain her favour.
Love and beauty: she is associated with love and beauty because she is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and fertility. In Greek mythology, she is said to have been born from the foam of the sea, and is often depicted as the most beautiful of all the gods. She is also said to possess the ability to cause both men and gods to fall in love with her. Aphrodite is known for her power over romantic love and her ability to inspire desire and attraction in others. She is also considered to be the embodiment of physical beauty and grace.
War: in Greek mythology, Aphrodite is not directly associated with war like her Roman counterpart, Venus. However, she is associated with war in the sense that she can bring chaos and strife to the battlefield. Aphrodite is known for her ability to cause discord and strife among mortals, particularly when it comes to love and relationships. She is also considered to be the goddess of sexual love and desire, which can sometimes lead to conflict and war. In some myths, she is also said to have incited the Trojan War by causing Paris to choose her as the most beautiful goddess, which ultimately led to the war.
The sea: Aphrodite is associated with the sea because, in Greek mythology, she was said to have been born from the foam of the sea. According to the myth, she was formed from the foam that was created when the severed genitals of the sky god Uranus were cast into the sea by his son Cronus. Additionally, the ocean is often associated with femininity, and Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and femininity. As such, the sea represents a source of life, fertility, and sexuality, which are all themes closely associated with Aphrodite.
Rose quartz: this crystal is associated with Aphrodite due to its associations with love and emotional wellbeing. In ancient cultures, rose quartz was believed to hold the energy of the goddess Aphrodite and was used as a tool for attracting love, harmony and inner peace. The pink colour of the stone was also said to represent the love and femininity of Aphrodite. Additionally, it was believed that the stone had the power to open the heart and encourage feelings of love, compassion and emotional healing, which are all qualities associated with Aphrodite and her powers over love and emotion.
Friday: in some traditions, Friday is considered to be sacred to Aphrodite because it is believed to be the day of the week ruled by the planet Venus.
