Okay, I gotta show off. My kid wanted a Jinx cake for his birthday. This is what I made. He went on and on about how it beats every past birthday cake, repeatedly declared it perfect, high fived me multiple times, and said good work and thank you. 🥰 Honestly it was pretty fun, and I think the past 8 years of birthday cakes made this go smoothly.

(Full disclosure: I did go to school for baking and pastry arts ten years ago).

The top is a disc of fondant that I traced a coloring page of Jinx onto with my own edits (it was a League of Legends pic and I gave her the Arcane outfit and simplified her accessories). Then I painted it with food coloring and food color markers. The rest of the frosting is buttercream, aside from the braids which are also fondant. I used a whole jar of bougie mixed sprinkles for the sides.

My kiddo spelled out "JINX" in sprinkles. 😊
