Gyomei Himejima General Headcanons (Sfw/Nsfw)

a/n: I hope i did this right but anyway, I have a lot of ideas but i don't really know how to right them out and his is my first time actually drumming up the courage to post anything lmao but after writing this I had a lot of fun and actually feel more confident in writing headcanons but let me know what you think! :)

SFW (Safe for Work)

Gyomei is a man who is very in tune with his feelings, so he's very attentive to your emotions and when you're not feeling quite like yourself so he likes to help you out when you're not feeling well or when you ask him to hold you, he always welcomes you into his strong arms with a warm smile on his face

when someone comes to confide in him, Gyomei is more of the type of person to listen to your problems or stories that you want to tell him than he is at trying to come up with topics or solutions to talk about but he will comfort you with ressasuring words if he feels like you need it and always has a warm smile on his face when you approach him

Sometimes when Gyomei has time to himself to relax and unwind in his own space it is often interrupted by someone (his comrades or you, his beloved) not that he minds at all at their presence he actually welcomes them as he found with time that the people around him naturally gravitate towards him and tend to be comfortable enough to share stories with him which he's more than happy to listen and be engaged in anything they might say, Gyomei suspects it might be due to the mixture of his large stature and calm demeanor that people naturally feel that they are protected and puts those around him at ease

Due to people casually coming and talking to him, Gyomei is a bit of a gossip and likes to know things but doesn't really do anything with the information, he doesn't like to start drama or be around it, he would rather be spending time at home with you, he'd take a seat in the lounge area and when he has made himself comfortable he'd raise his hand out to gesture for you to come and sit with him so he can tell you all the stories he has collected since you last spoke with a wide grin on his face

He may be blind but that doesn't mean that he is completely useless, in reality Gyomei has learned how to compensate for his short comings in a way that makes the people around him forget that he is even blind

tries to hide how amused he is when you forget that he is blind (ex. when you try to show him something interesting or when you comment on how dark the room is)

he loves it when the both of you have the time to relax and enjoy each other's company, especially the warm afternoons where he can sit in the grass without a care as you are relaxing peacefully in his lap, reading out loud to him the book that you picked up from the markets while he was out on his last mission.

also there are days where he likes to sit outside ( by himself or with you) and play his shakuhachi ( it's like a flute but sounds so majestic lol) , he doesn't know a lot of songs but likes to play notes and find which ones sound good together and plays little random tunes ( sometimes he makes up lyrics to go with the melody but most times its just meaningless tunes)

Gyomei has two weaknesses and that's: you and cats. It's a struggle for him to balance the two but with persuasion ( he secretly likes to be complimented and hugs, especially when you hug his arm) he will choose you with little to slightly moderate regret to the stray he saw on his way home from his meeting with the leader and the rest of the hashira.

Gyomei especially has a fascination with the maine coon cat breed not only because they are one of the biggest breeds of cat but because they are rather social creatures like Gyomei himself, they don't mind spending time around other people. He also finds it very funny when he get to spend time with a maine coon cat and he feels them softly making biscuits on his haori when he's trying to pet the other cats or talking to you

Due to the Edgar Allen Pluto story the Pluto is based on, The Black Cat. I personally believe that Pluto has many other siblings.

I think that because in the story, The Black Cat, the narrator (which is the character plutos dad was based on), has many pet. His favorite of the pets being his black cat, Pluto. Overtime the Narrator becomes and alcoholic. He begins abusing his pets. For a long while he avoids hurting Pluto, since he is his favorite. But once night when he comes home from drinking Pluto scratches his leg, and in a drunken rage his cuts the cats eye out.

Much, much more happens in the story but that’s the part I’m focusing on.

Also adding kinda to this. After that incident in the story Pluto, the black cat, begins to avoid the narrator. Clinging onto the narrator wife (yes for some reason the narrator has a wife still. Even after murdering animals, honestly poor girl. She gets killed too btw..). I point this out bc it was odd to me that Plutos (nevermore Pluto) response to fear is to cling onto somebody for comfort. Most of the time this ends up being Duke, since he’s normally closer to him and trusts him. But I’m sure he does this with multiple people (I can’t think of them off the top of my head rn). This fear response could be because pre-death Pluto would do the same to his mother. He would come to her for safety and/or comfort.

(Side note in the side note. Later in The Black Cat, if I’m remembering correctly, I’ll have to fact check in the morning. The fact the cat, Pluto, starts constantly hanging around his wife, upsets the narrator. I think that’s is one of the reason that led him to killing the cat)

The echoed “HUH?!” makes you realize huh, you’ve never pulled that line in front of them, have you? Don’t worry though, while it gets an eye roll and a grumble about being ‘real mature’ from Josuke, there’s no missing Okyuasu’s snicker. From there, anytime someone asks a question along those lines you can catch Okuyasu’s eye like he’s already waiting for the punchline.

Let’s be honest, Okuyasu is an impulsive soul who’s quick to rile up, similar to you but different in his own way. The way that you handle that anger however, is actually effective for calming Oku too. He gets heated on your behalf when you’re upset, wanting to validate your frustration and wanting to fix it, however as soon as he sees that you’ve cooled off that anger just as quickly it mellows him out too. It’s actually comedic watching it happen in real time, how just seeing you calm yourself is enough to temper Oku’s mood too.

Don’t even stress about the cooking - if you want food, Okuyasu is your guy! I think that even before DIU he’s got a decent grasp of a bunch of quick, easy meals that are really filling! Sure, he’s the kinda guy that prefers grabbing quick bites to eat with you, doubling it as some date time, but watching you struggle to cook even an egg he clocks on that you could really use some help in the kitchen. He sees it as a chance to impress you, hoping that you’ll look up to him more and see him as a dependable guy - it gives him the push he’s been needing to start getting serious about cooking too. I like to think he asks Tonio for some pointers and dish ideas to start making some heavy duty dishes that you’ll like - swears he was just learning for the hell of it, but there’s no hiding the pride on his face every time you tuck into food he made with his own hands.

Right, so, depending on how bad your cat allergy is determines how worried he’s gonna be at your insistence to pet them. A mild reaction like redness and itchiness? An understandable sacrifice when you’ve got a cat flopped at your feet demanding scritches. But if it’s more serious he’ll panic whenever a feline so much as wanders in your general direction, and more often than not will snatch them right out of the way and plop them down far enough away he deems it ‘safe’. The compromise for the pair of you is Stray Cat, as the little guy is more plant than cat but still purrs up a storm whenever you pet him. 

If Okuyasu’s staying the night when you get those sudden middle of the night energy bursts, I think it’s a tossup of if he can stay awake long enough for you to get them done. He’s barely conscious when you suddenly hop out of bed, more asleep than awake and his hair’s a total mess but he’ll try (and fail) to untangle himself from the sheets long enough to wait out your cleaning montage. Crashes the second you give up - he’s already back to sleep before your head even hits the pillow. He’ll still trip over the stuff you’ve reorganized in the morning though, every time, even if you try to warn him when you have to get up. 

Similar to when you’re on those middle of the night cleaning attempts, Okuyasu’s determined to stay awake to keep you company; however you still begin to lose him around the 3-4am mark. He likes to cuddle close to you when you’re having late night calls with your friends, so at one point in the night you’ll likely find a hand blindly patting around the bed for you till Oku can pry his face from his pillow, having him reach out to you mid-call to use your lap as a pillow or muffle his snores against your side that are still somehow loud enough to have you and your friend giggling on the other line.

Morioh’s choc full of places to go - cute cafes to eat out at or get takeout on the days you wanna stay home. Not to mention being surrounded by all that greenery and thick trees a little further out of town, there’s plenty of places to just walk around and hang out! Oku’s very low maintenance like that, so long as he can hang out and you’re there, it’s a great date! Casual dates work out better for the pair of you; there’s less pressure to be absolutely perfect and with easy plans there’s less of a concern for things going wrong that can’t be fixed or laughed off. That doesn’t mean Okuyasu doesn’t stress the hell out sometimes, especially the first few dates, worrying if you’re just saying you like casual dates to make him happy, or that you’re only agreeing to come because you feel bad saying no. Just give him a bit of reassurance, and Oku will soon be riding the dating high all over again.

You’ve confessed to him before how you’ve wanted to be someone more important to the world, which confuses him because you are already important to the world. I mean, hey, you made his world a whole lot better just by being a part of it. He says it so earnestly that it’s kind of flustering, but he means it and he’ll remind you of it in a heartbeat if you ever so much as doubt yourself. cat guy. like cats were highly respected in ancient rome and as a guy who likes to own fine things, he would not have been down to have pests in the house. so he's always been the type to sit out food for local strays and have a favorite or two he lets wander his home. i like to imagine him giving some philosophical monologue to pandora about how vampires are similar to cats, they're both instinctual killers and pandora being like 'are you really trying to mansplain cats to me in order to justify to yourself how much you enjoy petting the stray that lives in your garden?'

i see him being a really thoughtful gift giver. he has such a hard time expressing remorse and admitting he did something wrong, so he became great at picking out presents to compensate. and besides he just has great taste. definitely the guy everyone in auvergne wants to pull their name the year lestat insists on playing the mortal game of 'secret santa'.

i feel like it would be easy to assume he hates modern art because he's such a classicist. and maybe he did at first, he didn't get the purpose of painting with such a seeming 'lack' of technique until he stood in front of a rothko himself. and with his vampire vision he saw all the subtle variations in red that covered the canvas and he got it, he was deeply moved.

definitely went all in on architecture during the egpytian revival period and had home with a facade that replicated an ancient temple. (this didn't make akasha give him any special attention. not that he would admit to hoping for that or anything, he was just keeping up with the times, obviously)

he and daniel briefly terrorized a pub trivia night by sweeping every category every time they showed up until the owner gently requested they not come back since other patrons were tired of losing. he can't help that he's well read and his companion has a great wealth of knowledge on pop culture, okay?? mortals these days are such sore losers.

some guys are into shoes, some are into watches, we know from canon that he loves gloves and so he absolutely has a pair of bespoke leather gloves in every color for every occasion. driving gloves, white lambskin gloves for formal events, fur lined gloves for winter, he has multiple drawers in his closet for his collection. no i don't need smut with him doing obscene things to someone while wearing these gloves for kinktober why do you ask

here's Lea. african grey parrot (did you know all african greys look exactly the same like there's no way i can recognise her if she's with another parrot sfkdjghdf)

we got her in 2016 when she was 11. her previous owners were moving and they wanted to give her to someone who would genuinely take care of her. they knew my dad and he went ahead and said his daughter (me) has a thing for the animal kingdom 💀 (true tho) and she is prob the right person

anyways we went to their place, met her and oh. i knew absolutely nothing about these parrots right. we took her to our home and they just told us what to feed her, how she plays, what she likes and dislikes, etc.

so african greys are very intelligent and bruh. this female sounds like an absolute MAN when she speaks the human tongue (i actually got scared when she first said something LOL). the previous owners were like a mom and two daughters and her daughters were babies when she got this parrot so they didn't train lea. bc of that, she does not really know how to fly/land and since she's spent basically all life in the cage, it's her safe territory now and she does not like to come out

she was also not used to men bc she lived with ladies and then here she is with my dad and big bro (my lil bro was like 10 so she was comfy around him) but she was the type to not speak in front of men AT ALL

anyways i did my research, we all did we've come a really, really long way. her comfy zone is very wide now. she's come from only sticking to certain foods (her fav chips, a few fruits and nuts) to basically eating and trying everything (she doesn't even look at her chips anymore) (the look on her face when she first tried a mango and loved it is sth i'll never forget). she now talks in front of everyone (parrots talk when they are happy so ig she's happy here :'))

from letting us barely pet her neck to now getting full body massages and letting me preen her (I FEEL LIKE HER MOTHER). from wanting to bite us to affectionately pretending to bite me now (im her fav human, no one else can try this). from getting sick every season bc she was used to a certain temperature to thriving in every season while we get sick LOL

i think it's time i start to get her to come out her cage. it's gonna be a very slow process since i'm not a professional and it's gonna be only her and me (and she might hurt my hands beyond repair lmao i need my hands to do my job man) anddd bc i'm the only person who can do this, yet...

i'm kind of allergic to her :)

but i love suffering, suffering is my middle name. so remember how i said i got cat allergies? that happened when we got this parrot. she used to stay in my room and these parrots have like this white powder thing on their skin that can cause allergies. so my nose being exposed to these allergens long term caused some damage alright (i got allergic to literally every other thing, flu all the time for years, got no quality sleep and constant headaches) andd i finally got surgery in 2022. my allergies are almost gone now but i still have to be careful around her (a tragic love story right there)

anyways i love her, she loves me, we understand each other pretty damn well (it's almost eerie lmao). we dance to kpop together. we sing together. her avg lifespan is 60+ so we have a bet going on on who lives longer :D (bet it's gonna be her-) also we were meant to be fr bc her prev owner has the same name as me so she never had to learn to say my name :D

Okay so I am 100% crushing on him cannot have him. He is like mostly gay in one direction, I am mostly gay in another direction. He is semifamous. I am tumblr famous (debatable). He is 9 years older than me. I am a smol bb. BUT! I can dream.

So I was watching this twitch stream and the twitch stream featured a YouTuber who was promoting a series that was a giant collab, and I was like “well I’m not watching anything after this twitch stream” so I started watching that series and from the MOMENT this boy was on screen I was like oh my god. I was CAPTIVATED. In the series there’s a roasting and his roast was that he had “crackhead uncle energy” and when he heard that he was literally kicking his miss-matched socks and giggling. I was just so enamored like wow this guy is my exact type and I would LOVE to be friends with him, so it’s been SO COOL talking to him one-on-one. I would love to be some level of friends with him but I’m also very aware that I am coming to him as a fan of his content and his band.

He’s going out on tour with his band in March and I’m going to try and go see them because the initial thing I messaged him was to ask if they did any sort of meet-and-greet because he has a sticker collection and I’d love to make him some stickers.

A part of me really wants to talk about who it is exactly that I’ve been talking to but a part of me worries that in talking about what we’ve talked about I’ve like. Said too much about his personal life even though everything he’s told me pretty much he’s said online elsewhere and I try to be really careful what I say about him. If I do see him on tour I at least want to make a short video with him for content for my blog.

Pet names- I did answer this one previously, but I like talking about maybe other things I could come up with for them. So Allie is actually in of itself a pet name because Eddie wanted Alejandra to match names with him. They’re that obnoxious PDA couple who want to do stupid matching things, and he started calling her Allie because he didn’t want to call her “Al” for obvious reasons.

I think for Eddie, she doesn’t really shorten his name beyond just plain Eddie. I guess mainly because that is his preferred nickname, so she wouldn’t see any reason to shorten it beyond that. In my story as well, I have a little tidbit where Al Munson would try to shorten Eddie to Ed or Eds to purposefully irritate his son, so Eddie reacts pretty viscerally to it. Because let’s be honest, narcissistic neglectful parents will do shit like that, and I feel like we need to speak on that aspect because I do not want Al Munson to know peace while I write him.

I also just really can’t stand the nickname Eds lmao. 🤣 I’m so sorry to anyone who uses it, but it squicks me so badly and I don’t know why.

Pet question- Technically yes and no. Eddie fell in love with Allie’s childhood mutt named Scruffy, because he’s never had a pet before (he and his uncle are more the trying to keep themselves alive type rather than attempting to keep a pet alive type).

Scruffy loves the shit out of everyone, Eddie included. And because he’s such a lovable rescue dog, that’s now Eddie’s son. However, Allie’s personal crusty white dog Tiffany absolutely hates everyone except Allie, and that includes Eddie. He tries to get along with her but ends up teasing her, and thus because he’s Eddie and acts out of pocket, Tiffany can’t stand him and likes to snap and growl at Eddie. He calls Tiffany the Rat Dog, and he insists that Allie leave Tiffany behind when she moves in with him eventually (but she won’t, Tiffany is her beloved child).

Eddie also loves Allie’s cat, Ripley. Ripley’s a sweet orange girl tabby that is pretty docile. Usually if Eddie spends the night and he sleeps on Allie’s trundle, Ripley will cuddle up next to him. She likes to sleep right by Eddie’s ass and he finds it hilarious. He’s not much of a cat person, but he loves playing with Ripley using a little string or aggressively petting the cat until th erg start swatting at one another. C!Ash's perception of his own gender is definitely shaped by the way he perceives himself as a god since a lot of gods have funky odd genders. He should be able to get top surgery just to confuse people even more. I DON'T MIND I think Red's gender is pretty masculine but ultimately tied to his transness and older visions of queerness (and especially labels ascribed during the 1900's queer culture) which makes it extremely vague what he is when you say it. “What the fuck is that?” Was the first thing you asked when you finally returned to the castle. You were on a mission with the blade, so you weren’t there when he arrived. 

“It’s my wolf.” Keith smiled, petting its head. “His name is Kosmo.”

“Why do you have a wolf??” 

“Is this her?” The woman standing next to him gave him a knowing smile. Keith blushed and introduced you to her before turning back to you. 

“This is my mom, Krolia.” He told his mom about you? No, don't be silly… He probably told her about everyone on the team. 

“It’s really nice to meet you.” You smiled, trying to act normal after Keith just came back and all of a sudden had a mom and wolf. Speaking of…

“Why do you have a wolf?” You whisper yelled at him. Krolia excused but neither of you acknowledged her.  

“We found him! What was I supposed to do? Leave him?” You stared at him with wide eyes. 

“Yes!” You said in disbelief and he looked at you like you were crazy. “It’s a wolf-“

“First of all, don’t call him “it.’” You rolled your eyes. “Second of all, it’s okay for you to adopt an animal but not me?” 

“That’s different.” 

“How?!”

“Princess is a dignified, intelligent, actually useful cat. That,” You pointed at the furry beast sitting obediently by his side, “is a wolf. Not even a dog- a wolf!” 

“Kosmo is a thousand times more useful than Princess!” He touched Kosmo and all of a sudden they were both standing right in front of you. You tried taking a step back but he wrapped his arm around you and put his hand on your lower back, pulling you into him. 

You gasped and stared at him wide eyed. Partly because of what the wolf just did but mostly because Keith was different. You didn’t notice at first that he was even taller than you now, or that he just seemed to be bigger in general. You put your hands on his chest to ground yourself. Yep. Definitely bigger. 

“I missed you.” He said before leaning in to kiss you. You snaked your hands up to grab his hair and the back of his neck. His other hand reached up to grab your hip. You pulled back but stayed close to him. 

“It hasn’t been that long.” You laughed breathlessly.  

“It has for me.” This time, when he leaned down, he put his head next to yours and wrapped his arms around your waist, hugging you. You tightened your arms around him. 

“How long?” You asked quietly.

“Two years.” That made you pull back just enough to look at him. 

“What? Where were you?” 

“Quantum abyss. Long story.” You frowned, running your hands through his hair and lightly scratching his head. 

“I’m sorry.” You wanted to know more, but knew he’d tell you when he’s ready. 

“Don’t be. I missed you a lot, but it was nice being able to get to know Krolia more.” He gave you a small smile. 

“I can’t believe you found her.” You smiled back at him. 

“Wait so you’re- you’re half Galra?” Your eyes widened at the realization. He did not look half Galra. You probably would’ve guessed maybe ⅛ Galra? But not half. You moved his hair out of the way to look at his ear then moved his lips to check his teeth. 

“What are you doing?” He chuckled. 

“You don’t look half Galra. I would ask if you’re sure she’s your mom but she looks exactly like you. It’s kinda freaky actually.” 

“She does?” 

“I’m serious, you guys look almost identical. Like if you were full Galra and a girl, that’s what you would look like. Don’t worry though, milfs aren’t my type.” You said teasingly and he pouted. God he’s adorable.

“I only have eyes for one Galra Kogane.” You smiled at him, playing with his hair again. “Spoiler alert: it’s you.” He smiled sheepishly and looked down. 

“I really missed you.” He hugged you again. After a beat he pulled away and gave you another kiss. 

He managed to convince you to let Kosmo meet Princess. That’s how you found yourself walking to your room, Keith beside you and Kosmo trailing behind him. You opened the door and Princess ran up to Keith. He picked her up and scratched her head a bit, listening to her purr. 

“I missed you too.” He chuckled when she started trying to rub her head on his face. “Kosmo, stay.” He waited outside the door while you sat on your bed with Keith and Princess. You gave each other a nervous look before he called for Kosmo. 

Princess immediately became hostile, jumping off Keith and hiding behind you. You just hoped that she’d calm down enough to sense that you didn’t see him as a threat. You don’t really know why, or how it happened, but you have a similar bond with your cat as Allura does with the mice. 

You turned around on the bed and put her in your lap, hiding her from Kosmo who was getting curious and starting to move closer. You closed your eyes and lightly pet her head, trying to let her feel your emotions toward the wolf. She was like this with Keith at first too, and it didn’t help that he was apprehensive about her also. 

You felt her start to calm down and become more curious rather than scared. She stood up on her back legs, resting her front paws on your chest, and peered over your shoulder to investigate. 

Keith had Kosmo sit, so the only movement was his panting and his tail sweeping across the floor. 

“It’s okay.” You whispered and she dropped down into your lap then started walking toward the space on the bed between you and Keith. Kosmo leaned forward as far as he could without getting up and Princess flinched back. When she realized he was only sniffing and not trying to attack she moved closer and sniffed him as well. 

“This is going a lot better than I thought it would.” Keith whispered to you. 

“Good thing too. Cause if they hate each other, Princess isn’t the one to go. Seniority and all that.” You whispered back, lightheartedly. Out of the corner of your eye you watched Princess jump to the floor. 

“I hate to break it to you… but if we’re going by seniority, Kosmo and I aren’t the ones leaving.” He leaned into your space and gave you a small smirk. You narrowed your eyes at him. 

You lunged at him, pushing him back on the bed until you were laying on top of him. He immediately started laughing alongside you and fighting back. He got you on your back and you started tickling him so he grabbed your wrists and held them down. Both of your laughter died down until you were just breathing heavily and smiling like idiots. A sudden weight being dropped on top of him, making him fall onto you, forced a breath out of you. 

“Ow…” You watched as Kosmo fell off of Keith until he was laying next to you, panting and ready to play. You gave him a faux glare. 

“I’ll let it slide this time, wolf. But if it happens again, especially if we’re in the middle of something, you will be banned from this room.” You tried to keep the serious expression on your face but broke out into a fit of laughter when Kosmo responded by tilting his head and looking at Keith. 

“She’ll warm up to you soon, don’t worry.” Keith whispered and Kosmo seemed content with that answer. He yawned and then put his head down on your arm. 

“He better not drool on me.” You said when he closed his eyes. There was a beat of silence and you looked at Keith who had a guilty expression. 

“He’s kind of a drooler… sorry.” 

“Remind me why I let you and the cosmic wolf in my room again? Let alone on my bed.” 

“Because you love me.” He smiled, releasing one of your wrists to tuck your hair behind your ear. “And by extension, him too.” He added and you scoffed. 

“Is that so?” 

“Yep.” He rested his chin on your chest and you brought your free hand to his hair, playing with it and scratching his head. He closed his eyes and he- 

He started purring.

You had to check to make sure it wasn’t just Princess but she was laying down on the other side of the room and you could feel the vibrations on your chest. 

“I do love you.” You whispered. “And I guess, maybe, the space beast too.” 

“You know you can just call him Kosmo.” He turned his head so his cheek was on your chest now. He was still laying on top of you and even if he crushed you to death, you wouldn’t even consider moving. Kind of like when your cat lays on you. 

He opened his eyes to look at you before saying, “I love you too.” You smiled and he closed his eyes again, continuing purring. 

“You better not drool on me either.” You could feel him smile against your chest. 

“No promises.”

Want your fur to be brushed? Bro is all about it. He might even put on a little Soul music while he brushes you. He tries to make it as calming as possible.

He is definitely an asshole. He'll do everything and anything to make you jump or get startled. Something tells me he would love stuffing you into like a sack with your head poking out and cuddling with you while you're trapped in the sack. He is all about those nuzzles- he loves nuzzles.

He would 100% buy you weird hats for you to try on- because people do that with their cats. It could be an apple, a turtle, to Donald Trump's hair. He just loves funky hats to give you.

He is going to ban you from eating any foods harmful to cats because he's a paranoid fucker. Don't think he won't know, because he'll have cameras, trackers, hell he might even straight up destroy that food forever.

We know he isn't too big on physical affection, but I think he'd like you chilling on his lap while he works. I like to think his lab is a bit chilly considering all the metal and other things, so he likes that you're warm.

I'm sorry but he loves being a menace and playing with you with a laser. Definitely not his lab, but maybe the living room or just a more open space will he whip it out and laugh every time you instinctually want to chase it.

He records any cat-like noise you make it. You cannot convince me otherwise. He'll likes to listen to it if he ever has issues with sleeping or idk whatever negative situation.

Cuddles, snuggles, pets, scritches; he will be all over you if you're any type of fuzzy animal. If he ever feels bad or just feels lonely he shoves his face into your fur, most often your neck. He has a bad habit of playing with your tail. Not in a malicious way, but he wants to pet it or watch it move around.

If he ever cooks for you, he likes to shape any solids or sauce in the shape of a cat head. He also tends to put in ingredients that are more well-fit for a cat.

He loves the sound of your purrs, he'll just cling to you and listen to it every time it happens. Also, every time you purr, he thinks he's doing a good job at whatever and that his divinity is blessing him. So you're quite literally deluding him more.

So this is me PUTTING that content out there in the void for someone to find, read, and share! Side note: I am yet again writing Black!Reader headcanons with a darker skinned!reader and 4 type hair!reader in mind unapologetically. <3

When you reflect upon why and how you did so, you can’t really come up with a definitive singular answer

That’s another reason why he really likes you, you always have a comeback to his remarks when most don’t

You really don’t take his comments lying down and actively engage in fun spirited banter with him whether you're starting or finishing it

While others shy away from it and avoid that man like the PLAGUE

To be fair his demeanor and vibe with you is MUCH less hostile with others so nobody wanting to be around him is very understandable lmao

Even then when there’s moments were Heimdall steps outta line (and there are), you don’t hesitate to push back and check him

He NEEDS a s/o who can do that cause otherwise Heimdall won’t read, understand, or internalize boundaries and will eventually continue to keep going

Those moments where you check him are usually answered by long periods of silence from Heimdall or curt nods, he knows your limits, and chooses to respect them

Partly because you do the same with him, which for you is mainly out of respect, and cause you like him

On another note, Gulltoppr is y’all’s child I said what I said

You were deathly scared of them at first cause who the hell smuggled a whole ThunderCat into Asgard hELLO???

But after awhile you warmed up to the battle cat since Gulltoppr can see just how much Heimdall cares for you and if you’re good enough for Heimdall, you’re good enough for them

Heimdall often scolds you for feeding Gulltoppr apples and cheese a lot but you also scold Heimdall for not giving enough treats to them cause how else do you remind them that they’re doing a good job protecting Asgard???

When he’s not looking you like to give Gulltoppr head pats and belly rubs cause they do NOT get enough of those in their life

You’ve managed to persuade Heimdall to snuggle with you and Gulltoppr while he reads on his breaks and you bet that there’s even more cheese and apples involved in that

Now onto some stuff that’s more Black!Reader specific-

This man is a bit OBSESSED with your hair don’t @ me !!!

If your hair is longer, especially long enough to be in box braids or have extensions in, he will be in total and complete awe at them

Catch him staring at your hair whenever you’re in the Asgardian mess hall together

At some point the staring gets so frequent that you sorta call him out on it and he’ll just...freeze

Later on when you two are more alone he’ll go “So...how does THAT work?” and motion towards your head

Sure Heimdall braids his own hair from time to time but his braids are different in many ways

Speaking of Heimdall and braids, you bet your ass you braid his hair stop playin !!!

You’re kind of a whizz at it and he doesn’t let ANYONE touch his scalp so you’re fumbling with a gold mine here

Heimdall only trusts you to mess around with his golden locs and will only really allow you to see him with his hair down OR messy

Speaking of hair down, he’s down for you to do or help him in his hair care routine lmao

Washing it, brushing it, putting some kind of good smelling product in it, you name it

Also if you leave your hair care products just lying around he WILL sniff and try them out

SO if you’ve got some expensive stuff that’s really for your hair type usage only, you better hide it better next time

For revenge you can put his hair in cornrows and then watch it fall out the next day sksksk

Now back to your hair, even if you hair is short or you use wigs, he will still be intrigued by it

If you ask him if he has any design requests, anything with gold ornate on it will suffice (similar to his outfit that he wears)

That way y’all can tell your stuff from one another’s and he can color coordinate with his own natural hair color

Also he WILL throw at you and or remind you to put on a bonnet, durag, or head scarf if you aren’t wearing one before you go to bed

Something else that he admires about you is definitely how different colors of clothing make your skin tone stand out

Heimdall always stands out honestly due to being albino and having gold teeth like even for an Aesir God

It admittedly is different and a bit unfamiliar for him to see someone with darker skin and textured hair

Though don’t get him wrong, he welcomes it with open arms

Especially whenever the two of you are in bed together, cuddling, and just lying there together

He likes to have the windows open and have you on whatever side of the bed is facing that particular window

Cause it means that when he wakes up before the sun rises, he gets to watch the sun come up, and bounce light off of your melanin <3

He will absodoodley lay with you in bed all day (for as long as he can get away with it) while he brushes his hands against certain parts of your skin that are being lit up by the sun

He’ll only get up to get you some food or shower, basically basic needs until he has no choice but to get up cause he’s The Watcher of Asgard™ n all that

You know that his love for you has to run DEEP if he’s slacking off on watching Asgard cause he’s too busy giving you the attention that he deserves

And his love does indeed run deeper than a Jotunn’s ass crack for you truly if Odin doesn’t really approve of his relationship with you and he still actively decides to continue it anyways knowing this
