The Creepy Shopkeeper: we have anything your heart desires… for a price! Heheheh…
Me, placing my hand on an Object: shhhhh
[leitmotif shifts to a minor key]
Me, snatching my hand back: nope!
Creepy Shopkeep: What
Me, placing my hand on another Object: hmmm
[leitmotif shifts to major key]
Me: I’ll take this one!

Early Halloween video. Enjoy my middle school brain rot: Stephen King. I included as many of his works as I could, even Graveyard shift. Will upload a video with all the titles later.

We all know (I hope) that Leland Gaunt from the Stephen King's Needful Things is the prototype for Gaunter O'Dimm character. I knew it, but I didn't read the book, only watched the old movie, and almost forget everything. So during my recent trip, when I was in a place where most of my usual social networks are bannedā˜ ļø, I decided to read, to see myself how related they are. And it is true, so for me it was natural visualising in my head Leland as Gaunter. So after all I got an idea to hear how it would sound, O'Dimm reading and voicing Gaunt...
This chapter really made me laugh. His little joke, after the bargaining.🤌 Absolutely shameless. Shoking actually, were you on a place of poor Myra.😈 (But I might know someone who would seize the opportunity, hehe)
And how familiar sounds this:
ā€œThat,ā€ Mr. Gaunt said, ā€œis not my problem. I am a shopkeeper, not a marriage counsellor.ā€
Enjoy, and have fun with the cringe cover of Devil in Disguise with Leland Gaunt(er) singingšŸ•ŗin the end.🤭

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve seen Stephen King created a character who was an antique dealer, that actually turned out to be supernatural and had nefarious goals, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

"That belongs in the darkness. Let the darkness bear it away."
Alan Pangborn The final words of the Castle Rock novels. I just finished up "Needful Things" and it was as fun as I remembered it. Pangborn is one of my favourite Stephen King characters, so I wanted to post his last (canon) line.

Needful Things is such a weird book
Mr King is so blatantly horny all the time?? Like no one's where-the-sun-don't-shines need to be described on average 1.5 times per chapter? Did he follow the advice to Write Only When You're Horny? AND THE SEQUENCE WITH BRIAN RUSK? The MIDDLE SCHOOLER?
Don't get me wrong, they're great books and I love to read them, they're classic and have that psych horror that you can't get anywhere else but sometimes I feel like I'm skimming it because my asexual eyes no quiere leer the closest thing I've ever experienced to literal porn. makes my feet feel off.
It is pretty cool though that he has all his ocs revolve around Castle Rock. I read the Different Seasons collection before this and it was neat to see a couple characters come back (cough cough ace Merrill)

Hab allgemein aktuell 'ne fette Stephen King Phase.
