Hey man (?) my goal is to sign up but I'm about to have major don't-move-your-arms-for-a-while surgery and don't know how long into april it'll take me to recover. Is there any penalization for my team for being a hecking huge burden or is it more of a neutral thing

There's absolutely no penalties or consequences for not writing anything or having zero participation in general! Many people find themselves not writing anything or having a smaller wordcount.

Even if you don't write anything fanfiction-wise, you can get points for reading and leaving reviews the fanfictions other people write for phic phight. We've had people rack up hundreds of points from leaving reviews in previous years.

I definitely encourage signing up even if you aren't sure of how much you can write, just based on the fact that you can participate by reading but also the bare minimum of providing fun prompts for others to use.

Can you tell me more about your werewolf TTRPG character? 🧐

YES I CAN!!! sorry i waited to answer this until today's session was done but yes i can!!! her name is masha and her goal in life is to track down the son of a bitch who stole a family heirloom wolf-hide from her. the catch is that she only remember his godawful strong cologne, no name, no face, so for the first year of her search she is quite lost. she reaches a lowpoint when she is attacked by a werewolf and is given the lychantrophe curse but somehow survives.

because of her bloodlust (a really punishing mechanic my dm homebrewed), she cannot return to her family, since they keep animals that are her prey now. as she continues her search she sours and her need for vengeance grows. she can use her wolf-like senses to track the thief better but at what cost!!! she faults him for everything wrong that has happened to her and wants to tear him apart in a bloodbath.

top five things that have happened to her:

was stuck in a timeloop for a cumulative time of 2 weeks

been power-word killed by the BBEG

been power-word revived right after by the BBEG. to flex

is getting into gardening

is informally married to the thief she is tracking by virtue of him posessing said heirloom. neither of them know this and i am sure nothing bad will come of it!!!

Emmeline Vance, Emma vanity

Where did they come from like I can’t Rember them being referenced in the book (not that it matters😭😭) but also what are liek the best bc for them (house, bsf, personalit, style) cs I wanna know more abt them

oh, actually, i have no idea where they were first mentioned, i never finished the books (i'm reading them now because i got them as a surprise gift, sort of against my will lol), but if i had to guess, probably some extra content book! (i sorta went to google it and emmeline i think was mentioned in the... sixth? fifth book? something like that!)

as for hc, i also don't see a lot of them in the fandom, but i'm happy to share mine!

for emmeline:

i don't know for sure if she has an official hogwarts house, i don't think so, but i personally like her in ravenclaw, she's the seeker from her quidditch team, which often makes other people surprised, because she doesn't seem the type, but she's very athletic. she likes sports as much as she likes charms (it's her favorite class), and she's got a great memory for spells and for history of magic. i think she would be besties with both pandora (she likes the way pandora thinks, and they study together often), emma (they train together for quidditch, and they even dated for a while), and also marlene (emmeline likes marlene's vibe, they are good friends). emmeline has a more "girly" style, painted nails, little hairpins with interesting shapes (gifts from pandora), and make-up are her go-to. she loves styling her hair in cute ways (space buns, pigtails, braids, anything that comes to mind).

for emma:

she's a slytherin girl boss through and through, quidditch team captain (this one i think it's actually a canon fact), a sports enthusiast, she's very focused, very serious, very professional. her goal is to be a pro player, and she will. she's a year older than the marauders, not fan of many classes, but very good in potions and defense against the dark arts, with dada being her favorite class, but minerva being her favorite teacher. she's tough, smart and knows how to pick and win a fight. i like to think that emma's best friend was emmeline, but she had a special bond with regulus, she had him under her wing in quidditch, and he sees her as the greates player he ever saw, they have a cute mentor/student relationship, reggie respects her a lot! (she played as a chaser, btw!). emma, contrary to what people think by her last name, wasn't really vain, at least not with her appearance, she was always messy, with her hair tied, because it was easier for her to fly any time like that, and she always had a heavy coat even when was hotter, because she spent most of her time flying around. her favorite color is purple, and she likes shiny things. i hc her as a black person, very curly hair, and although being in slytherin in a time where most students in the house were purbloods, she's either half-blood or muggleborn

I hc Miche as someone who's always busy and so he unwinds with i. extreme sports ii. something with woodworking, or maybe he just goes on his bike and drives around– vrooms around? Do you guys see him as the type to go on hikes?

ANYWAY

because of that he's never entertained the thought of getting a tattoo until he was in his late/mid 20s when he was out with his biker friends. Maaaybe he was changing his shirt when they all start asking if he's got any plans to get a tattoo. He assumes it's their way of saying/telling him to join a shady motorbike gang. Zeke (yes they're besties idc) notices it and flatly points out that tattoos makes his muscles pop out more.

BIG MISTAKE. now Miche occasionally asks him– texting him. A picture of a tattoo shop and all that.

I think his first piece would be along his spine, just to hide it from his job– it was in the summer when he got it. It was his grandparents' birth flowers and wedding flowers. "They always have my back." "They supported me on matter what." As he'd explain. Dude's so tired from his job he actually fell asleep on the chair. Snoring. [Zeke has the pictures]

The next piece was on his Left shoulder, a moon phase from the day he was born as his 29th birthday gift to himself.

oooh, I hc that paradis has an ancient writing system that's being preserved after a specific generation chose the roman alphabets, so Miche got his family name tattooed in his Left forearm. This time with his grandparents *after* they were done scolding him with the back tattoo.

And then after that, when life was somewhat better and he finally travelled solo, he'd qalk around New cities on this second last day in search of a tattoo parlor. He'd find one and thus began his left sleeve. A collection of tattoos from different provinces, cities, and countries.

The last time him and Erwin saw each other was in their academy's graduation. So when Erwin sees Miche after five-seven years, his eyes nearly popped out.

Miche tries to convince Erwin to get one, to which Erwin says something along the lines of "are you getting your neck tattooed?"

Miche's smug as he leans back and says no, "My neck is preserved for other ... markings"

Zeke, being done with him, reminds Miche of how single he is. "You fuck your fist, who's biting you?"

ooooh, okay, i'm between two characters and another one that i don't know if he's actually underrated or not lol, so i'm gonna talk a bit about all three

first is emmeline vance, i >love< the idea of her, and since she's pretty much a blank canvas in canon, there's a lot of nice ideas to build her up! particularly, i like writing/drawing her as a ravenclaw (that's my personal little headcanon), typical pretty girl, but also a little more on the buff side, very smart, a bit sarcastic, i like to think she's cunning, a little rough on the edges, but a big softie, "slumber partie with unicorn stuffed animals" type of girl, her favorite color is red, but she looks gorgeous in blue, i headcanon her as half japanese, and she likes doing stuff with her hair, everyday is a different, creative hairstyle

second is emma vanity, my little gremlin! there's also very little of her in canon, so she's pretty much a headcanon character, too. i like to write her as energetic, rough, a little prideful, but also the type that would do anything for her friends, she's a short queen and a natural born leader (i still don't have enough headcanons about her)

last one (i swear) is evan rosier, and i'm not sure if he's actually underrated, but that's because i like to dig up stuff about him, so i see/read stuff about him pretty often. he's the love of my life, my favorite little mess of a human being, i love how the fandom has given a character that only has like, a name, so many cool traits of personality, i love anger issues evan, i love wannabe doctor who opens things up to study them evan, i honestly just like so many things about him!
