Life of Terry exhibition. Oriel Colwyn. Nikon F65. Expired Kodak Ultramax 400.
As a Monty Python fan there was no way i was going to miss this exhibition of photos and other memorabilia from the archive of Terry Jones. The Life of Terry event at Oriel Colwyn is part of the A Python on the Prom campaign to raise funds for a statue of the comic genius on the prom in his hometown of Colwyn Bay.
It was interesting to see some behind the scenes snaps from The Meaning of Life as well as some fan letters, along with the Mr Jones' humorous replies.
Oriel Colwyn opened in 2012 and works with local and international photographers. It is situated above the historic Theatr Colwyn.

Photography Tumblr I need your help, I'm trying to take a photo in this light setting, but with a red backdrop instead of blue:
Tumblr media
The issue is mostly that, despite not having professional studio lighting equipment, I managed to get the light setting right, however my camera, Nikon D5200, 18-55 lens, keeps capturing these bright and overexposed photos.
I'm aware this camera wasn't made for dark/low light photography and I don't mind if there's noise, I'm frustrated with the super blurry and overexposed outcomes.
Could y'all please in full detail give me tips on the correct camera settings with as many unnecessary details as possible, I'm not a professional photographer and assume I don't know anything about cameras. Please give me the navigation on settings too and whatever that wheel on the top for Manual/Automatic/etc is called.
Ideally if you've got visual reference material on light setups and stuff, feel free to send too!
Really appreciate all the help :)

Why Buy A New Film Camera When I Can Buy Used Ones From eBay?!
by Johnny Martyr Film photographer in 2000: “Why would I buy a new Nikon FM10 for $150, a new Nikon FM2 for $700 or a new Nikon FM3a for $800 from a camera store when I can buy a used Nikon FM from eBay for $50?” Film photographer in 2010: “Why would I buy a new Nikon FM10 for $300 from a camera store when I can buy a used Nikon FM for $75, a used Nikon FM2 for $200, or a used Nikon FM3a from…

Strawberry Field gates. Nikon F65. Expired Kodak 400.
Strawberry Field was a children's home operated by The Salvation Army up until 2005. It was opened to the public in 2019 and now consists of a shop, cafe and training centre.
The gates which stand on Beaconsfield Road have been a tourist attraction and place of pilgrimage for some years due to the Beatles song.
When io visited I was unable to go into the new facility due to a private function so all i could photograph was the gates.
