Huge shout out to my Discord Member (Hades) who has went over and beyond to bring my Kaiju Nomad Gojira to life! First they made a Japanese like title card that simply says “Nomad Godzilla” & at the bottom here, is Nomad Gojira’s Custom Roar!

Haven't worked on anything kaiju related for a bit again, but I was also in a Monster Hunter mood. So, I wanted to do my own design for Godzilla in Monster Hunter. More so to fit with wilds recently, which makes it a while since I last did Monster Hunter fanart.

Gojira:

A large powerful semi-aquatic brute wyvern that was said to long be a legend. However it has been sighted recently in the Forbidden lands around the Scarlet Forest. Its purpose and ecology is unknown, due to the only information said to tell tales of it.

Background:

As it was stated, the only information of Gojira's species is based from legends and tales. It was said they once ruled as kings of the old world, until they were wiped to extinction, similar to Arkveld being an extinct species. From the tales it was said "A great king of storms and terror split their species asunder, till there was nothing left but smoldering ash".

While it gives conformation on what happened to them, that is all to them nothing else. Even information from the old world recently has no luck. Since all knowledge of them was never made. Now the species has resurfaced from extinction, leaving Gojira and Arkveld being the only two extinct species found in the Forbidden Lands.

While facing it now in recent research and hunts from it, we have a information of it now. However, info on how they survived is left unknown.

Behavior/Ecology:

Gojira has been neutral to any environment it lives even with other large monsters that roam around them. Even while hunters are hunting or exploring, they remain neutral, however it does not want anything too close to it. Gojira also has no environment preference, as it seems to be nomadic in nature.

Times when he feels threatened, he will use his spikes to emit a blue pulse every five seconds, using them as an intimidation display.

The only time Gojira becomes agitated/aggressive, is when other apex predators are around, even Arkveld, and also Gore Magala, a demi-elder. Gojira will fight for dominance against any apex in the region, uniquely Nu Udra and Arkveld are the only ones that equally rival Gojira so far. One instance perplexes researches when Gojira fought Gore Magala, as it would seem Gojira is unaffected by the Frenzy Virus.

Biology/Abilities:

The anatomy of Gojira is unique for a Brute Wyvern, not just in its abilities, but its body as well. Its body is elongated to be able to swim and with its tail which helps with balance and propulsion in the water. Its body is made out of scales and fascinatedly has a layer of blubber, which is more noticed on its underside.

The gills it has helps regulate heat to release and helps it breathe underwater. The scales allow protection and help regulate moisture, with blubber helping regulate its body heat. Allowing Gojira to roam in cold regions, which it occasionally visits the Iceshard Cliffs to let out heat.

The abilities it has ties in with its dorsal plates, which not only serve as protection for its back, but for its most powerful ability. While charging during combat Gojira begins to build energy in its body through its dorsal plates, which each one rises as the charge goes on. Once all the dorsal plates are lifted, and charged, they all push down on Gojira's back releasing it all in a destructive breath attack.

Doing this, Gojira will need to let off an immense amount of heat from its body through its gills and mouth. As smoke leaves it body and it is drained and unable to use its breath for some time until its energy rises back to normal. An organ in its body is what helps it build the energy first, its dorsal plates aid it in that regard.

It can use that resurfacing energy for a weaker breath attack while fighting or when charging. Unique to its body, it can somewhat use that energy to make its stomps and tail swipes ore powerful, by amplifying parts of its body. While it may drain it somewhat it makes its combat capabilities more dangerous.

The organ in its body, on how it achieves this, is by building the energy and once released, ignites it. Resulting in both the weaker and destructive breath attacks.

Strengths/Weaknesses

Gojira's combat relies on its jaws, legs, and tail and sometimes its own body, overpowering other monsters, with its brute strength. However being big makes it more slow, but it makes it dangerous to fight if hunters are not careful. Breaking its legs, Head and severing its tail can help reduce its strength.

The dorsal plates are the hardest to break, as they serve protection for its back. However if a hunter breaks it back, it can greatly weaken its breath attack, even preventing it from breathing a destructive one. Parts from from its broken plates can also provide slinger ammo.

Its elements depend on its breath attack, its weaker breath attack can most induce a thunder ailment. If hit again, can cause a shock paralysis. Its destructive breath attack, once it hits, can cause blast blight to build up from the remaining spark particles. This can also happen when its charging when it bites.

Fire, thunder, paralysis, blast, don't affect it, poison doing only little to it. Ice and water seem to be the best to use against it, more so to help cool it off to prevent it from breathing its destructive breath. Sleep can affect it, and dragon surprising is only mild to it, but also drains it.

Other Info:

Reports have found Gojira in the Scarlet forest often during nighttime in the season of plenty. Its seen with a unknown monster that resembles a Moth, which seems to be the only monster Gojira is content around. It would seem they share something unknown, but its the only time Gojira is calm and peaceful even when hunters come close.

Another monster Gojira is content around is one that has been seen in the windward plains. A large spiked armadillo like monster, that Gojira will interact with when seen. They seem to play fight with each other showing that Gojira has more than one symbiotic relationship, or in this case a friend.

Gojira becomes more aggressive during the sandtide, even when Rey Dau is around. The sounds of thunder and the Rey Daus' noise reminds it of something thats unknown. Hunters often are at risk fighting it at this time, due to it aggressive behavior risking destruction.

The only monster known to hold its own against Gojira which is unknown, is a large fire bird wyvern that lives in the Oilwell Basin. Which weirdly sometimes it will go out and find other bird wyverns and rest along with them. The reason is unknown, and isn't bothered by the loud the noises it makes, however it somewhat dislikes Gypceros, for its own reasons.

I decided to remake this one as his original art I did wasn't very accurate to the story, so here's a new one! Overall, I'm pretty happy how this Mapusaurus came out.

Depending on if anyone wants to see, I can try for a size comparison using Lloyds Drs1 render. Dunno.

Hi there, for a long time I always knew of Tumblr and made mostly dusty accounts that I used to even barely lurk. Over the years I never really saw much value in social media, but I do like the positives of it, even if sometimes the negatives are overwhelming. It has a lot of connotations for me, and I wish to avoid any matter of politics on this account for now.

The type of content I will be posting here will be in a more closely-knit journal format to catalogue not only my own personal experiences in a more accessible way, but to also connect to others or provide information for topics maybe less talked about or mentioned. I once had a Wordpress blog some years ago, and wish to continue that work on a more customizable platform.

I am a [now divorced] 27yr old Piscean sun, Gemini moon & ascendant with an interest in anything under the sun & over the moon. I am a hermit with a cat and a nomadic lifestyle, such as that of the butterfly that never lands. My name comes from a constructed language made with my husband that literally means “Sun/flower, Swan”. Death Stranding Playlist

Any movies, books, music that you are currently interested in?

I've been rewatching all my favorite films from my childhood and teenage years all this month so I've got a jumble of them I'm obsessed with again rn lol there's too many to name ahshshsjjs it's embarrassing.

I just finished reading "How the Irish saved civilization" by Thomas Cahill and I LOVED it. It was extraordinarily educational. I'm currently reading "The gifts of the Jews: how a tribe of desert nomads changed the way everyone thinks and feels" by the same author and loving it just as much. I had read that author's book "Sailing the wine dark sea: Why the Greeks matter" years before and learned so much and I've yet to read a book of his that wasn't as captivating as it was educational. I'm also currently desperately wanting the book "Harmony of Babel: profiles of famous polyglots" by Kató Lomb I'm definitely getting it ASAP.

Music I've been into lately varies so much. I've been listening to a lot of niyaz, dead can dance, faith no more, whitney houston, M.I.A., Opeth, Gojira, sunmi, musical soundtracks, and a huge mix of 80s hits lol

An interview with: NOMVDIC

Could you introduce yourself to the readers?

Hey I'm James from Nomadic. Or NOMVDIC or NOM∀DIC or whatever. sometimes we spell it with a V because we’re weird. but metals weird so who cares.

What led to the inception of Nomvdic?

The original drummer and guitarist of this band had a project called "Nomadic" which had recorded a 2-song EP with me. They asked me to fill in for a gig for them as their vocalist bc the actual dude couldn't make it. Over time, we hung out more and wrote some theatrical death metal songs about horror movies. We were asked to play a gig as a "Nomadic comeback show" even though it wasn't the same band. So we played as Nomadic and that just kinda became the band name, haha. Not sure how the V thing started, I think it was a group chat change back in 2016 and then we just kinda started doing that with our new logos.

'Euphoria' has been on repeat ever since the record was released, this album is a masterpiece, 2.5 years in the making definitely proves that. What is the album about, what insights can you tell new listeners when diving into 'Euphoria'?

Wow thank you for the love. Hearing something you've created and put time to is a "masterpiece" is always a shock and always awesome. so thank you. Euphoria is at its core is about feelings, but at its hidden core is about me and my feelings haha. The argument of the album is essentially that anything felt in an extreme way, even negatively, is Euphoria BECAUSE you are feeling. But, we get to that conclusion by telling some pretty horrific stories and then "giving up" in the 9th song. If you can, try to listen to the whole thing - it's quite the roller coaster haha. That being said, I think it can also be a fun listen without having to jam the whole thing or having to pay attention to all the lyrics and whatnot.

'Euphoriɐ' has officially been out for over a week now, you guys released the Billboard chart numbers, being an independent band were you guys expected to have such great numbers?

Honestly dude I worked my ass off on shooting for the stars on this and doing as best as I possibly could, but I definitely did not expect to get 8 chart positions. That's badass. Technically only 7 positions because 103 / 100 isn't a position BUT I thought it was insane that we were only 3 off from top 100 current albums. I'm blown away. It's mad cool.

Since the whole world is on lock-down you guys had planned a CD release show/tour, word of mouth will still forever reign as a reliable carrier for news and excitement, what creative ideas have you come up with to combat not getting the word out about the release of the album?

I think staggering singles out every two weeks helped a lot with getting a lot of fans through Spotify, that was huge for us. I've been constantly trying to get press, and am working on ad ideas through Facebook and Google. I'm also going to start a "street team" type of Facebook group and come up with interesting merch drop ideas

As I was working on this interview I was listening to the album and the song "I've known you for so long but know nothing about you" stopped me dead in my tracks to actually listen and follow along with the lyrics, the lyrics feel extremely personal, what was the writing process like did you have to get into a certain headspace?

That's cool that you stopped and really looked into it dude, thank you. I'll just say this, man. Our last album was about freaking horror movies, haha. I had to get a lot of help with writing for this album, not because I can't write but because it was really hard to be truly vulnerable with my words for this album. I'm kinda happy things worked out that way. Like I know what the songs are REALLY about and what the lyrics really mean, but people can derive so much meaning for themselves out of the words. It's cool. I love this record and I love that song

When everyone receives the okay to resume to life as normal are you guys hoping to pick up where the last tour fell off?

Oh fuck the fuck yea dude. I want to be playing more than we ever played before. I want Euphoria all over the US and Canada and Europe. Hell, even fucking Australia. I wanna blow this up

Dream tour with NOMVDIC on the bill?

Oh, good question. Wow. Man, I'd LOVE to tour with bands like Oathbreaker, Deafheaven, Warforged, and Kardashev. I also think the direction of the last two The Devil Wears Prada albums suit our sound as well, so it would be so cool to tour with them. Also, Sleep Token, Code Orange, and Gojira are like my favorite bands, AND I heard Job for a Cowboy is coming back. Not to mention incredible bands like Rivers of Nihil and The Contortionist. Honestly, any combination of any of the above would be a dream come true.
