Opinion on Taylor's New Eras Tour.

So, I've been a fan of Swiftie since her debut was released in 2006 - I have never seen her live. It's always been on my bucket list to see her perform live, may just have to settle for a Taylor Swift pre-party in a venue to cope with the pain.

Adding some of the songs from The Tortured Poets Department sort of made my heart sink very quickly... some of them are my ultimate songs from the album, it's such a shame I may never see her perform them live - ever. Scalpers buying the tickets from Ticketmaster etc and selling them for hundred's and thousand's past their face value is so upsetting, knowing there could well be actual tickets there to be bought, but no in the right mind could pay that much.

Feel like she would have been better off doing the same Eras Tour as the US tour, then leave TTPD for another separate tour, she removed songs from the US tour to implement some of the songs from TTPD. Such a shame from her, great for her to showcase the songs but not great for the fans who couldn't get a ticket in time or don't wish to lose money and get scammed. Sigh - sad times.

Reflecting and Returning

I have not been on Tumblr since creating this account back in middle school somewhere around 10 years ago. Taylor Swift consumes many of my waking thoughts—her music, the Eras Tour content that perpetually exists on my social media, her continuous commitment to fighting for what is good and right in the world, and most recently, how this love I have for this remarkable woman has grown.

I have revived my seldom used Tumblr from the early 2010s because I believe this is the best place for me to exercise some creative freedom to express the emotions I have for Taylor and those brought to the surface by her music. I have never once met Taylor Swift, but I share a deep connection with her music—music that has truthfully helped to raise me to become the woman I am today. 

Anything I write, I write for myself. If someone out there is this world can gain something from this journey, well that will just be a beautiful bonus courtesy of the internet.

@taylorswift much has been written and said about the forgotten generation. Those swifties that are a bit older, yet still admire you and hope some day to be able to tell you the impact you have had on our lives. We are the same swifties that aren’t able to be online all the time, that aren’t often able to donate hours to making videos (I’m a teacher and on summer break right now), who won’t walk up to you if we see you out in public and interrupt because we value your privacy and wouldn’t want someone to do that to us. We love you just the same and we celebrate every milestone, every high and every low, we defend and support you tirelessly. We dig into your Easter eggs and marvel at how your brain works. We talk to each other about how we often feel over looked, how just hanging out with you, drinking wine, baking and playing scrabble while having deep discussions about life or dancing around like goofballs would be the best party ever. I was writing this post a few weeks ago and decided maybe you would like to see our faces. So here we are, with our names and twitter handles. I hope you love this even half as much as we love you.

Look What You Made Me Do

Okay, so, not to sexualize Taylor but the squad scene where Dominatrix Taylor is a ruling over them. Her boobs look great in that outfit and I really just want to stop the video and look at them but I also don’t want to interrupt such a great video. We so rarely get to see her boobs that it’s a special moment but I can’t look away from the video. I don’t know how to process this.
