Something I think about a lot but don’t see mentioned often is how the alternate universe in Arcane ep 2.07—as idyllic as it seems—is doomed.

It’s just another one of the universes where Viktor won’t be stopped. In that very intentional final shot, we see that Powder still has the unrefined hexgems. She just spent however long with our Ekko, rebuilding a fragment of the hexcore (and thus, our anomaly). She still has all of the research, all of the materials. She and her Ekko could create it again.

Maybe she wants to see this Vi that she’s deduced is alive wherever not-her-Ekko came from. Maybe she takes his (“you created things that changed the world”) and Vander’s (a girl like you shouldn’t just be in a bar) words to heart and tries to make something of her own.

We know Viktor attends the Innovators’ competition. If Powder and her Ekko present the concept of Hextech, eventually—there you go. Jayce is either dead or exiled, so the events will spiral on according to his vision of the broken future.

It all really circles around to the fact that OUR universe is the one that survives. And I think 2.07 is a fantastic and heartbreaking look at that in retrospect, given what we learn in the finale.

My partner threw an idea at the wall, Hadestown AU with their self insert and Mojo as Hades and Persephone and after a brief discussion we came to a conclusion...👀 Hadestown is my favorite musical of all time, so I was very excited to make a piece based off of it and I'm very very proud of how it turned out!

I got really attached to the idea of them being roommates and learning to tolerate each other. Somehow, that evolved into queerplatonic. Important to note I also ship creedock, but I think they got married and moved in together after the dragonvoid ( i've decided that's Alster and Lance's... duo name?? I don't ship them at all) situation happened. I don't think they really call each other queerplatonic partners, but they're aware of it, and so is dock.

Also, the name dragonvoid comes from Alster's powers being described as similar to a black hole and me being an astronomy nerd

i imagine its like. at first theyre just really passive aggressive with each other but then as they get much closer they also start actively trying to murder each other. then the big climax of the story could be something like alastor poisons lance and lance guts alastor and then as they lie on the floor frothing at the mouth and bleeding out respectively they realise they do actually care about each other. i just think it would be really funny. (then dock walks in and is like "what the fuck are you two doing")
