I said I'd show the moment Gorm started to let humans get close again. Here we are!

When Gorm realized that he was getting attached to Green he instantly wanted to distance himself from them, afraid of being hurt again. Thus he started to ignore and avoid them. With Green not understanding a thing, leading to them luring Gorm into picking them up so they could confront him.

It may have happened hundreds of years ago. But time is relative to Gorm and it may as well have happened a few months ago. For all he knows, the captain and crew are still out there.

If it's not clear; Gorm's catching Green with his nose so they don't fall. Green's a lil clumsy. But hey it worked in their favor! xD

Mermayternity 2025

Miss a Mermayternity? Me? Not this time! (It's still May on the west coast)

Anyway, since the dragons seem to be the only thing I know how to draw anymore and our dear Kardynkyr often reminisces about their days as the legendary kraken, I figured why not make an octomer out of them!

What if the reason Azul was susceptible to racism is because octomers have only recently started migrating back into the Coral Sea(wise-history). I say recently in like a history way, but if you remember in the little mermaid and the sequel, both Ursula and Morgana were banished from the main city, and they were the only octomer we saw. So, it would make sense if a ban was placed on the original octomer family(and all future octomers) and then time passed procreation of octomers happened and with an octomer population formulated the ban was lifted or something. Would be a good explanation as to why we don't hear about other Cephalopod mers as they could just be living outside of the Coral Sea. This would probably mean that Azul's grandma or mom moved back into the city or something. idk

Well, Mermay is almost done buuut, Aquatic batfam is always lovely. So which would you be fine hearing me ramble about-slash-work on the Oneshots lol

Eel Mer-   Eeels. Long wriggly friends. Now with apposable thumbs! And Bruce's growing adoption problem- and a slight family curse but shhh.

Merfolk-   I mean, fish! A mixture of modern and fantasy with the merfolk of Gotham waters being cryptids compared to the rest of the seas. The bats think it's hilarious.

Octopus Mer-   Octopi are fun. And you ever see the videos of octopus continuously escaping their tanks? Imagine if the octopi were vigilantes with weapons. Yeaah...

Crabtaur-  Lazarus crabs? Lazarus crabs! And a curse to them all that they have to work around in their day to day lives.

Nudibranch-   Sea Slugs? Indeed. And a lot of them poisonous and using the poisons in their work- along with messing with each other.

Mershark-   Sharks! Includes Flashpoint-esque Thomas being a murder grandpa and past AlfredxMarthaxThomas, along with Bruce being less murderous

Kraken-   Squids. Think giant merfolk but well, giant squids. Fantasy-esque AU with Gotham being the largest population of pirates & crime on the seas.

Sea Dragon- Sea serpents mixed with seahorses and a bit more. Includes the kids being bio-kids via blood ritual and a couple galas. Also some shapeshifting.

Someone kind and sweet, with a playful side.

Touch is important to him, but he's an 'acts of service' kind of guy, so he'll do stuff for people he values. Like taking them to scenic coves and going fossil hunting...

🍫: Where does your OC go to think?

Way way way out to sea, where there's nothing but rolling waves and open ocean.

Touch is again a big deal for him, so if he can wrap all his limbs around someone and hold them close, that's a good thing in his books

There's a coral reef outside Starfall where he likes to float with the currents and watch the fish drift...

Jaydick Week Day 3- Merfolk AU🐙🐟

Had a rough past two days, but it’s better late than never. I thought about making Jason a shark-mer, but I went with octomer instead bc Tentatodd lives rent free in my head. Dick is loosely based on a flying fish, I thought it was fitting.

This one was inspired by @witchpepper ‘s post. They made me realize what a great idea octomer Alastor is and that I can add to the fire mwahahaha

I feel like sometimes certain TWST fans categorize Azul's trauma as less than because they boil it down to "He was bullied." And that is where they stop, but I feel like they don't see the layers as to why he was bullied.

Facts from the game are that Azul was bullied for being slow, his appearance, and being a crybaby. We also know his peers did not respect him until he held power over them(this, of course, transfered to how he behaves at NRC). Azul grew up around kids who hated him for his natural appearance, something he couldn't control, making him think he didn't look pretty and to have a negative self-image. They also accidentally taught him that if he doesn't have anything over people, he can not be their equal.

I think everyone is aware that Azul's bullies were racist. That is quite clear in the story. Azul's species is considered to not be common in the Coral Sea, implying that they are either not native to there or have a low birth rate. Maybe even a combination of both. This can also lead to the idea that Azul was possibly the only octomer at their school, making his alienation from his peers more evident. Another thing you have to remember is that children are not born racist. They have to learn that behavior from someone, so Azul's bullies had to have a source. Whether it be an educator or their parents, this racist prejudice against Azul came from someone else. This was also high society. The Coral Sea prince went to their school, high class mers were here, meaning this wasn't just a small opinion in a little town, but an opinion high class society has against octomers that could possibly trickle down to lower spaces in mer society.
