Sick Meetings || @doloniadiegesis
“Ow…” A muffled voice came by some boxes. The Miqo'te rubbed his head as he stood up, looking around unsure of exactly where he was. It looked to be a large open area with buildings he didn’t recognise and airships? They looked much more advanced than those in Eorzea, they looked similar to the one Cid built him but more advanced. Just where in the Seven Hells was he? All he could feel was an awful headache and a bout of sickness, which led him to some clues as to what happened. A rouge aether shard sent him somewhere and he was paying the consequences. His head spun but thankfully due to dealing with this before Uma knew what he needed, a special kind of drink and fast. He knelt down, both to check his bag but also out of nausea, to see what he had on him. Amra, check. Ovibos milk, check. Crystals, check. Missing two ingredients, just great. Supporting himself on a nearby pillar, the Miqo'te lifted himself up and began to walk at a slow pace.
He ignored the looks he received around him, they looked scared? Muttering something about Mara, what that was Uma had no idea but he had to find the ingredients and fast. He shuffled about and caught some people who looked like they were carrying weapons? Oh that was just his luck wasn’t it and he was in no state to fight. He stopped for a moment to fight back the nausea and continued to shuffle forward, no he needed help before something got out of hand. Whatever these people with the weapons wanted with him must be to do with the muttering he heard around him about something to do with this Mara. Mustering some strength he sped up, only a little, to turn a corner and throw off the guards and sat down. Maybe this would be best to avoid attention.
Uma noticed someone walking past and reached out to her hand and held onto it, not something he normally would do but these were desperate times. Glowing red eyes met gold as he gritted his sharp teeth to try and form a sentence. “Do you have Peppermint and Palm Sugar? I need it.” He clutched his head in pain after that as he quickly regretted that sped up pace he took, of all things the Warrior of Light could handle, this was the thing to take him down. “Please… I’ll pay you back.” A groan came out from him as he curled up, knees hugging his chest as his tail wrapped itself below his knees.

Dream Team

Day Twelve: Natalie Darcy wants snuggles, not struggles, and deserves them too. Characters belong to @lumosinlove! Header is from @noots-fic-fests, where you can find all other tagged fest fics from the last week and a half (wow!)
“Forty-five sixty-seven left,” Alex said, staring directly into Natalie’s eyes.
“What?” Panic. Instant panic.
“Wombat brat pack! Set, hike!”
Black flashed in Natalie’s periphery—collision—fluorescent light above her.
“Jesus Christ,” she wheezed as she was dragged to her feet by a hand twisted in her shirt.
Jersey.
Her jersey.
“Wombat brat pack!” Alex insisted. He was bent and braced for a face-off. Natalie fumbled out something like a protest, something like a whine. She didn’t recognize the faces around them. Was Kasey in net? Why had he let her do this?
A whistle deafened her and she flinched, grabbing her right ear with a gloved hand. “Darcy, out!” the referee barked before crouching again.
Thank god. She backed up on wobbly skates, gliding as much as her ankles would allow. The other players were giants around her. “Oh, shit,” she murmured. “Oh, fuck, oh fuck me.”
The whistle blasted again. They converged on the puck in a seething mass of muscle and Velcro. Natalie backed up as fast as her inexperienced legs would carry her, away from the wrestling and grunting and clatter of carbon-fiber she preferred to experience from a safe distance.
It was a mistake. A fatal misstep in this messy, awful game.
“Darcy!” someone shouted from the melee. One of them had broken free. Alex? He was aiming right for her. Alex would never—but he was, he was bolting toward the goal, the goal Natalie had mistakenly planted herself in front of.
“Fuck!” she shouted, more on instinct than anything else. Alex cut one way; she dove the other, goal be damned, but the puck followed her.
Natalie had never seen Kasey unpadded, such as it was. He looked significantly more terrifying bearing down on her without any Michelin-man sweetness.
“Why are you tall—AUGH.”
They went down in a pile of limbs. Kasey scrambled to his feet. Natalie let herself lie there for a moment, gathering shards of her breath where they had exploded out of her like LEGO pieces.
“Nat!” Alex’s voice made her jump, made her heavy, itchy pads rattle. He tapped the top of her helmet with his stick, like a fucking asshole. “Enforcer!” he said insistently. “Enforce!”
“I don’t know what that means!” Her face was hot. Everything was hot and damp and this was all terrible, why on earth would they choose this day-to-day?
Kasey was coming down the stretch again, snapping the puck back and forth with a teammate. Alex took off toward him with those gorgeous crossovers that showed off the power of his legs but Natalie had no time to appreciate it because she wasn’t in her spot, with her drink, rating asses with Lily until they laughed themselves hoarse.
The fucking nerve of this dude to come at her after everything she had been through.
Natalie turned herself sideways and drove her shoulder into his chest with a hard push off.
It hurt like a mother.
The momentum carried them both sideways, though, enough for Alex to knock the puck around the goal and leave her to her own devices, namely catching her breath and praying for deliverance. Her hair itched under her helmet. It all felt too big to get anywhere.
“Darcy!” Another jersey-bound maniac yelling her name. Delightful. Exactly what Natalie wanted in this extremely low-stress environment.
“What?" she shouted.
"Darcy!"
"What?!"
"Darcy!"
"Oh my fucking--"
“Stop him!”
“Sure!” she laughed, rough and without humor. “Awesome! Will do! What’s the worst that could happen?”
She didn’t even see the guy’s number before impact.
--
Natalie woke up in her bed with a pounding heart and a throbbing head. She twisted the (high thread-count, silky-soft) sheets in her hands and sat up, rubbing sand from her eyes until leftover glitter and makeup streaked the back of her hand. An achy feeling seeped through her arms and feet gradually, a gentle consequence of wearing heels and dancing all evening.
Her head…oh, her head. Her mouth was cotton. Her eyes felt puffy. Perhaps those midnight margaritas hadn’t been the best idea. She stretched her torso from side-to-side, then each arm, and finally her poor beleaguered neck. Alex snuffled in his sleep like a lost puppy, covered up to his neck by blankets.
Kasey was right where he was supposed to be, all cute and fuzzy in the half-moon she liked to cuddle into when it wasn’t too hot out. His hair fell over the side of his face in golden wisps.
Natalie brushed one strand off his cheekbone and tucked it behind his ear. “Kasey, baby,” she whispered. Early-red sun bled under the curtains. “Honey. Kase, wake up.”
Those rat-bastard baby Lions were going to pay up for their party crimes. Natalie enjoyed several fantasies of hanging every item of their clothing on their brand-new picket fence for the wind to ruffle while she waited for Kasey to stir.
At last, he did. He looked like a rumpled, well-loved teddy bear down there, all sleepy blinks and brown eyes and squishable face.
And she squished it. She squished it hard. Her pillow came down with enough force to knock a squawk from his traitor lungs.
“Jesus, Nat, what—”
“You don’t run at me,” she informed him, poking the center of his chest. “You don’t skate towards me fast, you don’t hit pucks at me, it’s scary and I don’t like it.”
One of Kasey’s eyes was only partially open. He still managed to squint at her. “Whuzzat? ‘S your nightmare again?”
“I don’t like it when you do that!” she repeated, whacking him a second, gentler time. “You’re tall. It freaks me out.”
“ ‘M sorry,” he mumbled. “Won’t do it again. C’mere. Early.”
But there was another traitor in her bed. Alex grumbled something and turned onto his belly, his face pointing away from them. Natalie grabbed the sheets at the curve of his lower back and yanked them down as far as she could.
His bare back immediately arched at the chill, knees jerking toward his chest. “Woah—”
“Up, up, up,” Natalie ordered, urging his big lug of a body to roll so she could get a good look at his nonsense-speaking face. After a minute of futile pushing, he let her turn him over.
“G’mornin’,” he greeted. “Did I steal the covers?”
“You made me an enforcer!”
Behind her, Kasey had the nerve to laugh. The pillow found his gut with a satisfying thump.
“And then you yelled plays at me!” she continued, swinging a leg across Alex’s hips.
He looked up at her in unadulterated drowsy confusion, but his hands found her waist for a few soothing strokes. “I…have no idea what you’re talking about,” he confessed. “But I’m so sorry.”
“That—” She caught herself and pursed her lips. “Is a very good answer, and you’re not forgiven, because Kasey ran me the fuck over and you didn’t even do anything. But I will stay here, just for that.”
Alex nodded agreeably. “Okay. Hang on, Kase ran you over?”
“In the game.”
“The game,” he repeated.
“The hockey game. Where you made me an enforcer.”
Steady awareness was returning to Alex’s eyes. His brows creased in the middle. “When…?”
Natalie flicked her hand dismissively. “Recurring nightmare. But you’ve never been there, and you were on my team, and you were too busy chasing Kasey around to help me up after you got mad at me for not being a good enforcer.”
“You’d be a great enforcer. Wait—”
“Alexander!”
“I’m sorry.” And he was laughing too, the jackass, holding her tight around the hips and rolling onto his side so they were facing each other on the mattress. He kissed her nose through his snickering. “Aw, honey, I’m sorry.”
Natalie covered his mouth with her palm and gave it a half-hearted shove. “Yeah, you better be.”
“Oh, god.” He was still smiling when she took her hand back and tucked it between them, pulling Kasey’s over her side to hold. Alex composed himself, broke, and scraped together just enough self-control to look at her with only a bit of a swallowed-down grin. “I’m sorry you had a bad time in your nightmare about being an enforcer in a professional hockey game.”
“You yelled plays at me.”
“I’m sorry for yelling plays at you when you clearly hadn’t been at practice.”
“Alex!”

I know this sounds wide but can you please do a romantic roboticize sonic X yo-Kai reader basically one of eggman robot severely injured sonic and the only way to save his life is to fully roboticize him and after that tails calls sonic parents (Jules and Bernadette) sonic uncle chuck and his cousin shard and then there a time skip to where sonic his parents uncle and cousin are some how stuck in terror time where gargaros a evil yo-Kai attached then but before he could a yo-Kai save them not knowing that the yo-Kai that saved them is y/n an till they ask there yo-Kai friend venoct to get them to blasters HQ and venoct tells them everything and of course they are shocked and soon they meet y/n dad Lord Enma or Enma for short and soon y/n comes back after defeating gargaros to see that there dad is showing them embarrassing photos of them and they tell there friends that they a yo-Kai (shard is considered a part of the hedgehog family in this, sonic dad Jules is a robian,a roboticize sonic looks like the sonic from Mecha sonic Vs Mecha knuckles from issue 39, because yo-Kai are immortal and because robian are immortal that mean the reader and sonic can be together forever)
Beyond The Metal Heart
Pairing: Robian!Sonic x Yo-Kai!Reader
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Romance, Drama
Rating: T (Teen)
Warnings: Moderate violence, Supernatural elements
Disclaimer: This fanfic is a crossover between Sonic the Hedgehog (mostly based on the lore of Archie Comics) and Yo-Kai Watch, mixing elements from both universes. All characters belong to their respective franchises, and this story was created for entertainment purposes only.
A/N: Thank you for this request! I must admit, it was one of the most daring requests I've ever written. And the research I did for this one was huge too, considering that I had never played Yo-Kai Watch in my life, so I went after the games themselves to familiarize myself. It was a fun challenge and I like to practice my writing outside of my comfort zone sometimes. By the way, I won't put any tags on this fic, since it's a crossover and for a more niche audience. I hope you like it.

The late afternoon sun was already setting on the horizon of Mobotropolis, reflecting off the windows of the buildings and beginning to cast increasingly larger shadows on the ground. Night would arrive soon, and this breezy day had everything to be as peaceful as possible—if not for the massive explosion that echoed in the city center, causing a tremendous tremor in the ground.
The heavy sounds of something moving shook the earth. Amid the dust and rubble, a metallic threat emerged, scanning the area with its robotic eyes, searching for the blue menace that had been spinning around it for some time.
The robot's eyes gleamed as it locked onto the blue rodent darting out from the dust below and dashing in the opposite direction. With a metallic sound of moving parts, the robot began its pursuit, following the hedgehog’s trail.
Sonic glanced back as he ran, a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips. Leaping over some debris, the hedgehog managed to slide along the ground just in time as the mechanized threat slammed its fist into the pavement.
Above him, Tails flew by, positioning himself atop one of the structures. He had one of his devices in hand, analyzing the robot, its capabilities, and the threat it posed. The fox furrowed his brow upon noticing that this enemy was unusual—something he had never seen before.
"You never get tired, do you, Egghead?" Sonic taunted, hopping onto a pole, crossing his arms as he stared into the glowing eyes of the doctor’s latest evil creation.
That robot, even though it seemed to Sonic like just another pile of scrap metal to destroy, was different from anything they had encountered before. It resembled a mechanized beast, with sharp fangs and horns, an imposing and reinforced structure, enormous clawed hands, and a strange purple aura surrounding it. Its glowing red eyes had a sinister gleam, and every movement was accompanied by a threatening purple energy.
The robot let out a hiss, and a familiar voice echoed from within, making Sonic roll his eyes.
"Hehehe! You have no idea what you're up against this time, hedgehog! Keep up that cocky attitude of yours—let’s see who laughs last! After all, this badnik is my latest creation after extensive research. It’s powered by energy from a dimension you can’t even imagine!"
The robot vented steam, taking a heavy step forward.
"After I paid a little visit there, I was captivated by the power and magic of that place. How could I leave without bringing back a little gift for you? Right? My overgrown blue rat."
Sonic placed a hand on his hip, raising an eyebrow at the robot.
"To me, it's just another pile of old scrap, just like everything else you make. And I’ll destroy this one like I always do."
Cracking his fingers, Sonic shot forward, leaping off the pole and dashing straight at the robot. As he got closer, he charged up a Spin Dash, launching himself with force at the metallic beast’s chest. At that moment, the purple aura flared up in a surge.
The impact of Sonic against the robot was massive, echoing like thunder throughout the city. However, to the shock of both Sonic and Tails, the badnik didn’t even budge. It remained standing, unmoved, merely watching Sonic.
In a quick maneuver, Sonic pulled back, landing firmly in front of the monster while Eggman cackled maniacally at the situation.
"Urgh… What the heck was that…?" the hedgehog grunted.
"Bet you’re impressed, Sonic," Eggman taunted.
Grinding his teeth and clenching his fists at the doctor's words, Sonic charged up another Spin Dash—this time even stronger—hurling himself once more at the robot’s chest with all his might and speed.
This time, the robot staggered backward, the impact causing sparks to fly from its circuits. The purple energy flickered but then began to concentrate in the machine’s fists.
In an unexpected move, just before it could fall, its claws, now imbued with the glowing purple energy, slashed through the air—hitting Sonic.
The only thing he felt was the searing pain and his body instantly weakening as that strange energy began to consume him. As his strength faded, he found himself plummeting to the ground, crashing into the grass.
Tails, watching from atop a building, was horrified. Seeing his friend collapse, he immediately abandoned his devices, soaring down at high speed toward the hedgehog.
"Sonic!" the fox called out, but there was no response.
The world around Sonic seemed to spin, the noises were distorted, and his vision grew blurrier by the second. His body no longer responded, nor did he have the strength to make a sound.
The robot, now unstable from its own attack, collapsed backward, sparks flying as it began to fall apart. A countdown to self-destruction initiated, threatening to obliterate everything in its vicinity.
"Sonic! Answer me, can you hear me?" Tails knelt beside him, staring at his friend’s condition, his eyes welling up with tears. "I’m getting you out of here."
All Sonic could see was a blurry yellow figure. The sounds of words no longer made sense.
With effort, Tails grabbed Sonic and struggled to lift him. Panting from the sheer exertion of carrying him, he finally managed to take off.
Behind them, the robot exploded, sending a shockwave of heat through the air, slamming into Tails and pushing him forward. He wobbled slightly but quickly regained control, clutching Sonic tightly as he flew away from the destruction.
--*--
The sounds of worried conversations and the beeping of machines filled Tails' workshop, the closest place he could take Sonic.
Around the hedgehog, several familiar faces watched with anxious and concerned expressions.
Tails flipped through a book, trying to identify the best treatment for his friend. His hands trembled, making it difficult to turn each page. On the left side of the bed where Sonic lay, Bernadette held her son’s hand tightly, her own hands shaking with nervousness. A robotic arm wrapped around her shoulder. She opened her teary eyes, looking at her husband beside her as he tried to comfort her—though even with his efforts, concern was still etched into the metallic angles of his Robian face.
On the right side, near Tails, Shard stood with his arms crossed, watching Sonic’s unconscious form. His usual sharp demeanor softened with worry as he saw the despair on the others' faces.
An older hedgehog entered the room carrying a few items. Stopping by the right side of the bed, he reached out to feel Sonic’s pulse. Uncle Chuck then grabbed a device, beginning to analyze him.
"He can't die like this... Not him! There has to be a way, some way for us to figure out what this is," Tails murmured, flipping through the book more frantically. "There’s nothing like this in here…"
Chuck examined the readings, furrowing his brow.
"His vital energy is being drained slowly. If we don’t do something, it’ll keep fading away until it disappears completely…" The older hedgehog rubbed his temples, earning concerned looks from everyone in the room.
"Yes… It’s that purple energy. It’s not something we can just remove physically. It’s slowly killing him… I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work," Tails admitted, closing his eyes as a silent tear rolled down his face.
Jules gently squeezed Bernadette’s shoulder. His eyes narrowed as he observed his son’s state. Then, he opened his palm, staring at the metallic parts of his own body. He sighed, deep in thought—until he made his decision.
"There is one last solution… But I don’t think anyone’s going to like it," Jules said, his voice firm with resolve.
Tails’ eyes widened in alarm, already understanding what he meant.
"No… You’re not suggesting—"
"That’s right… Full roboticization… It’s the only way." Sonic’s father stated briefly, his voice heavy with emotions and pain.
Shard averted his gaze, clenching his fists.
"We all know what this means, right? He might never be the same after this… but…" The robotic hedgehog trailed off, his voice quiet.
"But if he survives… then it’ll have been worth it," Bernadette said with determination, bringing her son’s hand to her lips to kiss it gently.
Tails hesitated for a moment, his eyes wide with uncertainty. He knew better than anyone that Sonic would probably never accept becoming fully roboticized. But there were no other options—either this, or letting him die.
With a heavy heart, Tails curled in on himself slightly, nodding.
"It has to be done…"
Silence filled the room, accompanied only by the humming of machines and the quiet sound of tears falling to the floor.
--*--
The first thing he heard was the sound of birds singing outside. Slowly, his vision—still blurry—began to clear as he opened his eyes.
He felt… different. Yet he couldn’t pinpoint exactly why. He just felt disconnected from himself. The morning sun shone through the room’s window, reflecting onto him—but for some reason, he couldn’t feel its warmth.
Something was definitely wrong.
Sonic tried to sit up, but his body was heavier than usual. His movements felt sluggish, not as fluid as they used to be. He blinked once, then twice—but he didn’t feel the subtle creasing of skin over his eyes as he did.
Then, he noticed something else—the faint beeping and humming of unfamiliar machines beside his bed.
Focusing his vision on the equipment, he traced the wires leading towards him. Following their path, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he caught sight of something gleaming.
Metal.
His arm—his entire body—was now encased in polished, mechanical plating.
Sitting up slowly, he took a deep breath, gathering the courage to look at his own hands.
They trembled.
His palms were metallic—resembling his father’s. A shaky sigh left him as he flexed his fingers, feeling nothing but the faint vibration of metal shifting against itself. The sound of his joints moving filled the room as he stared at his newly transformed body.
The dull yet reflective surface of his new form shimmered under the daylight, mesmerizing him. Confusion clouded his thoughts.
With difficulty, he pushed himself into a sitting position, running a hand over his head—only to freeze. Gone was the soft texture of his natural quills. Now, they were rigid, cold metal spines. Turning his head, Sonic’s breath caught when he spotted a mirror nearby.
The roboticized hedgehog stared back at him.
His black eyes—now illuminated by an artificial glow—locked onto his own reflection. A shiver ran down his spine. He gripped his arms, hearing the faint creak of metal under his tightening grip. He flexed his fingers, watching his hands move—unable to comprehend the sight before him.
"What… happened?" He stared at the blue plating on parts of his roboticized body. "I…"
But no words came to him.
He buried his face in his hands, overwhelmed by the emptiness inside him. His voice, when it finally escaped, was clear—but carried a faint metallic echo.
The nearby door creaked as the handle turned.
As it swung open, it revealed a small, familiar fox.
His eyes were red-rimmed, his nose twitching—he had clearly been crying for a long time. Dark bags under his eyes made it obvious that he hadn’t slept in days.
"Sonic…!" Tails’ voice was small, heavy with emotion. He rushed to his friend’s side, gripping Sonic’s hand tightly—though he hesitated, unsure if he should hug him or give him time to process everything.
At the door, other familiar faces appeared upon hearing Tails' exclamation.
Bernadette was the first to enter, her eyes glassy as she covered her mouth with trembling hands. She sat beside her son, taking his hand into hers. Jules followed soon after, concern etched into his features. Shard entered next, uncertain, observing Sonic with cautious eyes as he leaned against the bed.
Lastly, Chuck stepped inside, arms crossed as he carefully examined Sonic’s new mechanical body.
"How are you feeling, son?" Jules asked, stepping closer and placing a hand on Sonic’s shoulder.
Sonic turned to his father, uncertainty clouding his glowing eyes. But then, he forced a small smile—one that didn’t quite reach them.
"I think… I’m okay, Dad."
The newest Robian turned to Tails, still keeping that faint smile.
"Hey, Tails, looks like I turned into a big walking sardine can, huh?" Sonic let out a quiet chuckle.
Tails stifled a watery laugh, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to hold back his emotions. But that small attempt at humor only made the weight of the situation settle heavier in the air.
"Do you feel anything different? Any pain? Weakness?" Chuck asked, rubbing his chin as he observed the way Sonic’s mechanical joints moved.
"Well… it kinda feels like something’s missing, y’know?" Sonic averted his gaze, scratching the back of his head.
Silence followed.
Of all of them, Jules knew this pain better than anyone. He knew what it meant to wake up and no longer feel your own heartbeat. To no longer sense warmth against your skin. He understood what Sonic was going through.
"Sonic… I know it’s hard… but we’re here for you, son. You’re not alone. You have your family and friends to support you."
Sonic kept his eyes on the floor, unwilling to meet his father’s gaze.
"Alone or not… it doesn’t change what I am now. It doesn’t change the fact that I can’t feel anything anymore, Dad."
Tails, trying to hold back tears, gave him a small, determined nod.
"We did what we had to do… but you’re still you, Sonic."
"Do you feel anything different? Any pain still? Weakness or anything like that?" Chuck asked, rubbing his chin while observing the movements of his nephew’s mechanical joints.
"Well... It feels like something's missing, you know?" Sonic said, averting his gaze and scratching the back of his neck.
Silence filled the room once again.
Of them all, Jules knew well the pain of becoming a Robian. He understood the weight of waking up and no longer feeling his own heartbeat. The absence of touch in his metallic palms. He knew exactly what Sonic was going through. But he also knew that, with time, his son would learn to live with himself in this new form.
"Sonic... I know this is hard... but we’re here for you, son. You’re not alone. You have your family and friends to support you."
Sonic kept his gaze fixed on the floor, not trusting himself to look at his father. He remembered the battle, the impact—but he never imagined it was severe enough that they would have to turn him into a Robian.
"Alone or not... It doesn’t change what I am now. It doesn’t change the fact that I can’t feel anything anymore, Dad." He shifted his mechanical gaze to meet his father's robotic eyes.
"Sonic... No matter what happens, you will always be my son." Bernadette squeezed his hand tighter.
Shaking his head, he swung his legs over the edge of the bed, pushing himself up. His family instinctively loosened their hold on him as he stumbled slightly, adjusting to his new body. But he quickly steadied himself, lowering his head as he began walking toward the door.
Bernadette made a move to follow him, but Jules gently placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her—a silent signal for her to let Sonic have his space. He needed to cool down, to better accept his new body before they could have a proper conversation.
Stepping out of Tails' workshop, Sonic took in the familiar scenery, clicking his tongue in frustration. He knelt down, staring at his metallic feet before slamming a fist into the ground in frustration. Getting back up, he moved his heavy legs with more intensity.
He needed to run.
Inside the workshop, everyone remained still, watching as the hedgehog took off at full speed. They all hoped Sonic would soon find a way to reconcile with his new body and reality.
The wind cut through the air as he accelerated. But this time, it was different. Before, speed had always brought him an exhilarating sense of freedom. Now, it was as if he were merely floating—detached, weightless, trapped in a surreal and unsettling dream.
He could still feel the impact of his metallic feet against the ground, but he could no longer perceive the subtle sensation of the wind brushing against his face, the breeze ruffling his quills, the warmth of his body exerting itself, or the sweat dampening his fur.
Abruptly, he stopped at the top of a hill.
Frustration burned inside him as he realized he wasn’t out of breath. He wasn’t tired. He felt nothing at all.
His glowing eyes locked onto the horizon, where Mobotropolis stood tall, its towering structures framed by the bright blue sky.
For everyone else, nothing had changed. Life carried on as usual. But for Sonic, this was a different reality. He wanted to wake up. He wanted to sigh in relief, knowing this was all just a dream. But it wasn’t that simple. He placed a hand over his chest, but all he felt was the mechanical hum of his metal body.
Sonic wanted to feel warmth. He wanted to feel his heartbeat.
But all of that was gone. A deep growl of frustration rumbled in his throat before he let out a heavy sigh. He already missed the sensation of heavy breathing after an intense run. Now, all he could feel was an overwhelming emptiness inside him—a strange, hollow presence that brought nothing but pain. A pain deeper than anything Eggman’s badniks had ever inflicted on him.
"Why did this have to happen to me...?" he whispered to himself. He wanted to cry, but he didn’t even know if this body was capable of it.
Sonic closed his eyes, seeking comfort in the darkness. But all he saw was the cold, artificial interface of his robotic sensors. He didn’t want to live like this. But he would have to learn how. And that bothered him more than he wanted to admit.
After his intense reflections at the top of the hill, Sonic found himself walking back toward Tails’ workshop, his head lowered in thought. He sought the comfort of familiar faces. He needed to talk—to understand what came next, how he was supposed to live from now on.
As he neared the workshop, he spotted his family gathered outside, standing in a circle as they talked amongst themselves.
They saw him approaching, offering waves of greeting. He raised a hand in return, though his movement was small, hesitant.
Then—
A sharp noise rang in his ears. A strange, static-like distortion—one he had never heard before. Sonic froze in place, scanning his surroundings, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound. Suddenly, the ground beneath him trembled violently. Before his eyes, a massive sphere of purple energy materialized right in front of his family.
It crackled and pulsed, growing larger with each passing second. The sky darkened, thick storm clouds swirling into existence as the once-clear air became dense and heavy.
The energy began to distort itself, twisting unnaturally until it formed something akin to a black hole—its force pulling in nearby leaves and debris. And then, in a matter of seconds, Sonic felt himself being pulled toward it too. He struggled, digging his metallic fingers into the ground, clawing for stability. But when he looked up, his stomach twisted.
His family was fighting with everything they had to hold their ground, grasping onto anything they could. But the stronger the energy grew, the more intense the pull became.
It didn’t stop. It didn’t slow down. And then, one by one, they lost their grip.
Sonic’s heart—or what was left of it—dropped as he watched his family be yanked into the vortex. He shouted their names, reaching out for them. But he knew there was only one choice.
Without hesitation, he released his grip, allowing himself to be pulled in as well. If he was going to lose them, then he would lose himself too. No matter where this vortex took them, no matter what lay ahead—He would bring them back home.
--*--
Sonic slowly opened his eyes, trying to figure out where he was now. Propping himself up on his elbows, the Robian hedgehog sat up, placing a hand on his head as he scanned his surroundings. This was clearly not the same place he had been before, nor was it anywhere he recognized.
With a start, Sonic analyzed the environment. A dense, thick gray fog reduced visibility, and the surrounding buildings were distorted, some even floating motionless in the air, creating an eerie atmosphere. Above, an enormous moon loomed over the sky, illuminating everything with a post-apocalyptic glow.
Taking a few disoriented steps forward, Sonic spotted several silhouettes lying on the ground. Without thinking twice, he rushed over to them.
Crouching beside the four figures, Sonic examined them, making sure they were alright.
"Guys? Are you okay?" the hedgehog asked, concern in his voice.
Jules nodded, beginning to pace around, muttering something to himself. Bernadette held Sonic's hands firmly as she stood up with his help. Shard assisted Chuck in getting up, and at last, the four of them gathered in front of Sonic.
"I want to know what the hell that was!" Shard exclaimed, clenching his robotic fists and scanning the area through his mechanical lenses.
"It feels like... we were pulled into another dimension," Uncle Chuck mused, scratching his neck. "No... actually, this feels more like another plane of existence. We won’t know for sure until we explore." He took a step forward, placing a hand on Shard’s shoulder while turning his gaze toward Sonic, his expression filled with concern for his nephew.
That was when a chilling sound of heavy breathing echoed in the area, followed by a thunderous step that shook the ground of the warped environment. A loud growl made them all turn toward the source of the noise. The five instinctively moved closer together, trying to stay united in the face of whatever was coming.
Through the thick fog, a colossal creature advanced slowly, each step sounding like a tremor. As it approached, more details became visible—its wrinkled red skin, the beast's curved teeth, its glowing eyes, the large protruding horn on its head, and the enormous club covered in sharp spikes resting on its shoulder.
The creature grinned cruelly, pausing for a moment to observe the group. Then, gripping its weapon tightly, it raised the club and slammed it against the ground.
Sonic let out a brief growl, clenching his metallic fists.
"Hey, I don’t know who you think you are, but I don’t have time to play around with some oversized brute like you. So, unless you want me to smash you to pieces, I suggest you show us the way out and leave us alone." Sonic took a step forward, crossing his arms.
The creature didn’t hesitate, showing no intimidation toward Sonic. The red monster took another heavy step forward, grinding its teeth.
The hedgehog grew furious at the creature's audacity.
"Alright, you asked for it."
In the blink of an eye, Sonic shot toward the monster.
However, as he accelerated to gain momentum for an attack, Sonic felt something was off. His movements seemed slower within the fog, as if its density was hindering him. The thick air seemed to sap his speed.
Before he could think of a way to strike, Sonic felt a brutal impact against his metallic body—the sound of the creature's club colliding with his mechanical parts echoed throughout the area, forcing a pained gasp from the hedgehog.
The immense force was enough to send him flying. Sonic only stopped when he crashed into one of the warped gray buildings, sending up a cloud of dust and crumbling debris. The hedgehog fell along with the concrete walls, lying motionless on the ground, panting as he tried to process what had just happened.
"Sonic!" Jules shouted from afar, calling out to his son, urging him to get up and keep fighting. However, when Sonic didn’t immediately rise, a wave of worry overtook Jules, pushing him to start running toward him.
Bernadette tried to hold him back, but to no avail. The monster turned its attention away from the unconscious Robian, locking onto the figure dashing across the open space. A savage, maniacal grin spread across the beast’s face as it took its first step toward its next target.
But before it could advance further, a beam of light struck the monster’s arm. The red creature observed the small laser hole left on its skin, then turned its gaze toward Shard, who instinctively took a step back upon realizing his attack had done nothing.
With an ear-splitting roar, the monster prepared its club and slammed it into the ground with all its might. A surge of purple energy erupted, sending everyone flying backward, causing them to land in a heap near one another.
Sonic’s eyes fluttered open in confusion as he placed a hand on his head, his robotic vision gradually refocusing on his surroundings. Even though his metallic body was more resistant, the impact had affected him in more than just a physical way. He knelt on the ground, trying to gather enough strength to stand, but his legs wavered beneath him.
"Okay… that was one hell of a hit…" he murmured.
The hedgehog only looked forward when he saw a shadow looming over him. Looking up, he spotted the towering red monster, its club pulled back, readying a final, crushing blow against him.
Sonic shut his eyes, bracing for impact.
However, before the attack could land, a wave of heat surged through the area, followed by an enormous explosion, blinding everyone with its brightness. The monster shielded its eyes with both hands, stumbling backward, keeping its distance from the fiery impact site. Grumbling in frustration, it rubbed its eyes, trying to regain its vision as quickly as possible.
When the monster’s sight returned, it scanned its surroundings in a rage, ready to strike down whoever had dared to attack it. But to its surprise, its eyes widened upon spotting something in the middle of the flames. Its stance shifted to a more defensive one, a stark contrast to its previous aggression.
Amidst the roaring fire, a lone figure walked calmly, carrying a sword over their shoulder.
A little farther away, Sonic’s family helped each other up, supporting one another. Their eyes widened as they noticed an unfamiliar figure approaching the monster. Bernadette quickly scanned the area for her son, finding him on his knees, staring in awe at the burning scene before him.
For now, there was no way to reach him—not until the sea of fire cleared from their path.
"He’ll be fine. Sonic always is." Bernadette reassured herself, trusting her son’s resilience. Chuck placed a hand on her shoulder, showing that he believed the same.
You took short, steady steps through the flames, gripping the hilt of your red blade tightly. Your free hand reached up to adjust the oni mask covering your face.
Saying nothing as you approached, you lifted your hands, your palms beginning to glow. Within seconds, swift flames burst forth, engulfing the monster, distracting it and preventing it from attacking.
Sonic finally managed to get back on his feet, clutching his robotic arm, which felt slightly stiff from the impact.
"Who are you? I already have enough problems dealing with that thick-skulled ogre over there!" The Robian hedgehog eyed you from head to toe, analyzing your reddish skin and the golden hue of your hair.
Your only response was to turn toward him, observing the roboticized hedgehog the same way he studied you—taking in the tension in his shoulders, the sadness in a face that shouldn’t have had emotions, and the rigid, hesitant stance he held. Despite noticing all of this, your mask concealed your expressions and feelings.
"Finally found you!" A masculine voice called out nearby. Soon, a young, medium-built figure emerged from the thick fog, a snake coiled around his body. His long turquoise hair cascaded down his back, a single strand covering one of his eyes. "We’ve talked about splitting from the group... but I have to admit, you’ve stumbled upon quite the find." He glanced at Sonic before shifting his gaze toward the weakened figures on the ground.
You huffed, turning away and walking deeper into the mist, leaving the group with your ally while keeping the red monster contained within your fiery vortex.
The turquoise-haired man studied Sonic, the hedgehog looking utterly confused.
"And you must be that so-called hero of Mobius. Didn’t expect to see you here… and certainly not so… metallic." Sonic frowned at his remark. "Well, either way, follow me. I’ll get you out of the Terror Time." He held up a golden key. "Once we find the exit gate, we’ll regroup and discuss things properly."
Sonic nodded, hurrying to help his family get back on their feet. Stepping over the now-dwindling flames, he couldn't shake the feeling that this day was only going to get crazier.
--*--
In the middle of a quiet and cozy hall, the group stopped, observing the place with reverence. In front of them, the turquoise-haired man attempted to guide them further inside.
"You were lucky that our patrol was nearby. Gargaros doesn’t usually let his prey escape alive..." He glanced at the group, all of whom looked confused by everything that had happened. Suddenly stopping in his tracks, the man turned around abruptly.
"I haven’t properly introduced myself yet. I am Venoct, a Yo-Kai. A pleasure to meet you, people of Mobius." He bowed in greeting.
Jules narrowed his eyes in suspicion, taking a step forward.
"Where are we?" he asked briefly, positioning himself in front of Bernadette, who held Sonic’s hand firmly.
Venoct crossed his arms.
"At the moment, you’re in New Yo-Kai City, in the Yo-Kai world, specifically at the Blasters’ Headquarters." He paused, gesturing toward the place. "We’re a group dedicated to hunting down troublesome Yo-Kai and maintaining balance between worlds. Just like that red Oni you saw—Gargaros. He is, in a way, the master of Terror Time, a distorted reality of his own making."
Sonic crossed his arms.
"So how exactly did we end up in this world? This wasn’t supposed to happen."
"That’s true, Hero of Mobius, it wasn’t. But for some reason, for a while now, Terror Time has been experiencing... instabilities, to the point of opening portals to other dimensions using Yo-Kai energy... And we have no idea what’s causing it."
Uncle Chuck stroked his moustache.
"I have a theory. I suspect that these... anomalies in this world are directly related to that badnik we saw Eggman controlling, as well as the power he used on Sonic." The old hedgehog’s eyes focused on Sonic. "Maybe Eggman was the real culprit behind this. After all, he apparently used the same purple energy that the monster did, and extracting that energy from this so-called Terror Time might have caused these spatial distortions."
Everyone stared at Uncle Chuck with their mouths slightly open. Jules cleared his throat before responding.
"Well, Sonic still has that energy running through his body. The main difference is that it can’t drain the life force from a Robian."
Venoct crossed his arms, processing the situation.
"He still has that energy? Interesting... but tragic. His essence has been corrupted by Yo-Kai energy—an energy that was never meant to come into direct contact with a living being’s essence. And yet, you remain alive due to this robotic body. Truly, an incredible advancement in your world’s technology."
Venoct suddenly turned as the entrance door swung open abruptly.
You entered the room with heavy footsteps, carrying your sword over your shoulder. Stopping near the group, you remained silent.
"I don’t think you’ve been introduced yet, have you?" Venoct asked. "This is (Y/N). She’s also part of the Blasters. She’s a bit reserved at first, so don’t worry."
"We need to find a way to open a portal so they can return to their world..." you said, your voice slightly muffled by your mask as you crossed your arms.
"We have to wait for the next energy surge from Terror Time. Maybe another portal will open due to the anomaly," Venoct replied, shifting his attention to you. "We’ll send them back with an escort when the time comes, to ensure they return safely."
That’s when you narrowed your eyes, sensing the intense Yo-Kai energy emanating from Sonic.
"Hey, you, robot..." You pointed at him. At first, he looked confused, but then he realized you were talking to him. "How do you have so much Yo-Kai energy?" You took a step forward, making the group instinctively move back.
"Whoa, whoa, easy there, sword lady. First off, the name’s Sonic. Second, I didn’t ask for this energy, so if you want to get mad, blame Eggman." Sonic spoke abruptly.
"(Y/N), focus," Venoct intervened. "That’s the Hero of Mobius. His essence was corrupted by Yo-Kai energy, which is why you sense it so strongly—it’s a powerful essence."
"And what if this corrupted essence ends up taking control of him? Do you really want to take that risk? We already have enough problems with the Onis of Terror Time; I don’t need another situation getting out of control." You huffed, glaring at Venoct.
"Calm down, there’s no need to be defensive. I’m sure that with the right practice and guidance, our hedgehog friend could even learn to channel this energy in battle." He looked at you hopefully.
"I know that look... You’re not suggesting..."
"Yes, we’re going to train him. I’ll help you all get settled here at HQ. We’ll continue our conversation soon."
Sonic observed everything in disbelief, staring at you for a few seconds before turning and following Venoct. This was going to be quite the journey.
--*--
Sonic stood in the training field, arms crossed, tapping his metallic foot on the ground, the sound echoing through the area.
"Alright, Hero of Mobius, you need to learn how to use the energy within you somehow. Let’s start with something simple—attack that dummy over there. Feel the energy in every circuit of your body, then strike." Venoct took a step back, letting Sonic concentrate.
The Robian took a deep breath, focusing on the humming of his robotic body, sensing the strange power within him—energy that had become even stronger since he stepped into this world.
After a few seconds of focusing, Sonic curled into a ball, charging a Spin Dash. The purple energy began to surround his metallic quills, swirling around him like a mist. When he attacked, the energy dispersed upon contact with the dummy, pushing it slightly backward.
Sonic looked proudly at the power he could still develop.
"Impressive..."
Your voice echoed through the area, startling Sonic and making him jump slightly before turning toward you.
"You..." he said in a monotonous tone, narrowing his eyes.
"Interesting that you can channel this energy... It’s quite a unique weapon." You walked to the center of the training area, stopping in front of the hedgehog. "But attacking a dummy won’t be enough. If you want to go back home, you need to enter Terror Time again. And to get in there, you have to be ready to take hits and fight back." The hand holding your sword gripped the hilt tightly, pointing the blade at him.
"(Y/N), don’t go too hard on him," Venoct said, sitting on a nearby bench, merely observing the battle. "But she’s right—facing a Yo-Kai is the perfect way to train your new abilities."
"Show me what you’ve got." Your voice came out muffled due to your mask.
"You got it, lady!" Sonic said excitedly, clenching his fists and taking a combat stance.
A little further away, Sonic’s family watched attentively. Bernadette held Jules’ robotic hands tightly.
"Just look at him... He seems so... excited," Sonic’s mother said, her voice filled with emotion.
"He really does. He looks happier, more lively, ever since we arrived here. It’s like he feels at home." Jules watched his son as he dashed and spun against you, his Spin Dash being deflected by your sword with impressive skill.
--*--
Later, you were sitting under a cherry blossom tree, holding a cotton cloth as you gently cleaned the blade of your cherished sword. Your gaze lifted as you noticed a familiar figure approaching.
Sonic raised a hand, greeting you.
"Hey, so, (Y/N), right? You were amazing in our training... I gotta admit, I never thought I’d be able to feel tired and sweaty in this body..." He moved closer, sitting on the grass beside you. "I never thought I could feel so... alive, you know?" He looked at his own hands, admiring how much these past few days had been filled with change, new emotions, and adventures he never imagined he’d experience.
"You weren’t too bad yourself, hedgehog. Your fighting style is unique."
His eyes lit up with hope at your compliment, and he scratched the back of his head, flashing a small grin.
"Ah, thanks. You’re pretty nice, you know that?" He closed his eyes, tapping his foot restlessly against the ground, though this time, he was determined to stay still, simply enjoying your company and the growing friendship between you.
After a few moments of silence, your voice came out softer.
"You must have realized by now... Your connection to this place is stronger than you think." Your eyes searched his, which filled with uncertainty as he absorbed the meaning behind your words.
"What are you getting at?" Sonic asked, crossing his arms.
"That you’re practically one of us now... I had some doubts about you at first, I’ll admit. But after seeing you genuinely try to integrate, even if just temporarily, and make an effort to train your new abilities... I can feel the connection you have with this world."
"Listen, (Y/N), I know everything here has been fun... but I have my world, my home, my family, my friends. I can't just leave them behind, you understand?"
But even as he said that, Sonic was reminded of his condition. He was a Robian now, something entirely different from what he used to be. A sense of fear crept up inside him—how could he live with this new metallic body, with this energy still coursing through him? How could he go back, knowing he was no longer just a normal Mobian hedgehog?
"If that's your decision... I know someone who might be able to remove this energy from your body. We can look for him first thing in the morning." Your voice was serious and low, making Sonic extremely hopeful.
"Seriously? Nothing would make me happier." He flashed a smile, his reflective metallic muzzle gleaming, truly grateful for your help. "You know... I've always been a guy who runs free, never worrying about anything. But for the first time... I wonder if my home is still the same. But that doesn't change the fact that I need to go back. I can't just abandon Mobius."
You noticed the doubt flickering in his eyes.
"I understand your side. You don’t need to worry, Sonic. Well, I think it's time to go. It's getting late."
You stood up, and he nodded, following you.
--*--
Sonic lay down on the makeshift bed at the headquarters, staring at the metallic glow of the ceiling. Your words still echoed in his mind. "You're practically one of us now..." He squeezed his eyes shut and sighed. He wanted to deny it, but part of him felt like it might be true.
Then, the world darkened, and fire began to consume everything.
The scene made him shudder. Mobius was in flames, thick purple mist engulfing everything, making it impossible to see anything beyond the distant embers surrounding his entire world. Panting, Sonic turned around, falling back when he saw a massive figure wielding a club, grinning wickedly with those crooked teeth.
With a start, Sonic sat up in bed, panting, cold sweat dripping from him—even though robots weren’t supposed to sweat. He looked toward the window beside him, exhaling when he realized he was still in the Yo-Kai World, but the overwhelming sense of danger hadn’t left him. The images of his home world burning and crumbling were too vivid to simply fade away like morning dreams.
He had to tell someone as soon as possible. Maybe they could help.
--*--
"Hmm, this seems more like a vision than just an ordinary dream, Sonic."
Venoct stroked his chin, sitting at the meeting table across from Sonic. Leaning against the wall, you paid close attention to their conversation.
"A vision? Just what I needed..."
"You mentioned that some crazy doctor from your world took energy from the Yo-Kai World, right? Well, we can confirm that energy came from Terror Time—or rather, it could have even been Gargaros’ own energy. He’s an Oni that loves to appear outside our world just to spread fear. And that kind of mass destruction would definitely be something he’d do if he could walk freely outside his Terror Time." Venoct spoke firmly, beginning to worry about the future of Sonic’s world.
"You're telling me he might try to use me to invade Mobius and destroy everything? Like, use the energy inside me to do it?" Sonic asked.
"Affirmative. Your energy must be amplifying the anomaly's portals. That explains why you were pulled into our world. If he manages to use you, the next portal he opens will allow him to walk in Mobius freely, outside of Terror Time."
A deep dread settled in Sonic’s chest. If that Oni invaded his home world, it would be the end for everyone. Sonic had to stop this.
"I have to stop him before that happens." The hero responded with determination.
"Listen, Sonic, you can’t just charge in alone. You won’t be able to fight him head-on—"
"I’m going with him. We’ll fight together to defeat Gargaros. Maybe that way, the spatial anomaly will stop."
Your voice was firm and confident, already preparing yourself mentally for the long battle ahead.
The hedgehog looked at you with warmth in his eyes, grateful that you had volunteered to fight by his side.
"Well, you two better be careful, then. We don’t want either of you getting hurt." Venoct stood up. "You should get ready. Apparently, Gargaros has appeared with his Terror Time not far from here."
"Let’s go, Sonic. Wish us luck!"
Gripping the hilt of your sword tightly, you began walking, determined to put an end to this once and for all.
--*--
Sonic stared at the twisted towers of Terror Time, his eyes glowing within the purple mist. He clenched his fists.
"If we fail... Mobius could be destroyed."
You noticed the more serious tone in his voice and crossed your arms.
"Hey, don’t think about that right now. You won’t fail. I trust you."
He turned toward you, studying your masked features.
"I don’t think I’ve ever fought for something this important before..."
You stepped a little closer.
"Then make sure you do it right."
The atmosphere of Terror Time was suffocating. The heavy air vibrated with a dark energy, while distorted towers loomed over Sonic and you, like specters from a nightmare. The ground trembled with each step Gargaros took, his presence exuding sheer menace and dominance.
Sonic tightened his fists, feeling the cold metal against the skin he once had. He glanced at you. Standing beside him, you radiated a powerful aura of spiritual fire. Your eyes, hidden behind your mask, showed nothing but confidence—but also a weight he couldn’t quite understand yet.
"This guy is a massive problem," Sonic muttered, trying to keep his usual bravado but feeling the tension in his voice. "Do you have a plan? Or are we winging it?"
"Gargaros is all brute force and instinct. He doesn’t think much before attacking, and that’s an advantage," you explained, your eyes gleaming in the shadows. "If we’re fast enough, we can use his own strength against him."
Gargaros roared, his voice booming like malevolent thunder. He lifted his club, spinning it with surprising speed for his colossal size, before bringing it down in a devastating strike toward them.
Sonic reacted instinctively. His boosters activated in a split second, launching him away from the crushing impact that shattered the ground and sent debris flying. He zigzagged around, searching for an opening while you leaped high into the air, flames forming an arc of light around you, ready to strike.
"Now!"
Shouting, you unleashed a blast of fire directly at Gargaros’ face. The monster roared in pain, bringing his massive hands to his face to shield himself, giving Sonic the perfect opportunity.
The hedgehog seized the moment, dashing at full speed and striking with a Spin Dash infused with Yo-Kai energy. He slammed into Gargaros’ chest, forcing the creature to stagger back.
But Gargaros wasn’t that easy to bring down.
With a brutal motion, the Oni recovered and swung his club, barely grazing Sonic—but even that was enough to send him crashing against a warped wall of dark energy. The pain reverberated through his entire robotic body.
You rushed toward him, kneeling beside him and placing a hand on his metallic chest.
"Sonic! Are you okay?"
Your other hand instinctively lifted your mask, revealing your face to assess his injuries better. Sonic’s eyes widened as, for the first time, he saw your true features. For a moment, he felt a strong connection between you, an unshakable desire to fight alongside you forever.
Sonic froze for a second. His gaze took in every detail of your now-visible face. Without the mask, you looked more... real. As if the warrior who always kept her distance was, in truth, someone just like him.
He blinked a few times before finally speaking.
"So this is what you were hiding?" Sonic whispered.
You raised an eyebrow.
"Expected something different?"
Sonic shook his head, a small smile forming.
"Nah... It’s just that... Never mind. We have a fight to win."
Masking how impressed he was, he simply huffed, forcing himself to sit up.
"I've faced worse... but this guy hits hard."
You grasped his metallic hand firmly, transferring a warm energy through the cold metal.
"We can do this. Trust me."
He returned the gesture, nodding.
"Always."
You stood up together, facing the red monster. Gargaros roared once more, preparing another attack.
"This time, we do it my way!" Sonic shouted, dashing in the opposite direction, drawing the Yo-Kai's attention. He ran in circles, increasing his speed and creating a whirlwind of wind around the enemy.
"Got it!" you exclaimed, raising your energy to its peak. The flames around you flared up, illuminating the darkness, until you concentrated all of it into a single point in the palms of your hands.
"NOW!" Sonic yelled.
At the exact moment Gargaros attempted to strike, you launched your fire blast into the opening Sonic had created. The impact was devastating. The fire fused with the vortex of air generated by the hedgehog’s speed, turning into a fiery whirlwind that engulfed Gargaros.
The creature let out a wail, its dark energy form slowly disintegrating. Flames consumed its body as its roar of rage and pain echoed, until it was finally silenced.
Terror Time began dissolving around them, the distorted buildings vanishing into the void. Sonic finally stopped running, standing beside you as you both, breathless, watched where the creature had been.
Sonic turned to you, a tired smirk on his face. "Tell me he's not coming back in ten minutes."
You laughed, still catching your breath. "No... at least not anytime soon."
The hedgehog stepped closer, his eyes shining with a different kind of warmth.
"Hey... About before... Thanks. For everything. You really helped me, offered to fight by my side."
You smiled softly, your eyes gentler as they met his.
"You would’ve done the same for me."
Without thinking, Sonic took your hand, feeling real warmth through his cold metal. For the first time since becoming a Robian, he felt something beyond emptiness. For the first time, he felt alive again, like he always had before—not like the scrap metal he once thought he'd become.
"Terror Time... It dissipated," Sonic observed, thoughtful about how he would return home.
"Not completely... That energy is still inside you, Sonic. It's still possible to open the portal and send you back. And the best part—you really did it, you saved your world." You gave him a sweet smile.
"None of this was just me. We did it together." He flashed a small grin.
"If you prefer to see it that way... Come on, we need to tell everyone about our victory."
You both started walking back to HQ at a relaxed pace.
"By the way... You're really pretty... Especially without that mask hiding your face." He gave you a playful wink, and you laughed at his comment.
"Well, I appreciate that... Maybe I'll start leaving the mask off from now on then." Now, it was his turn to chuckle softly.
--*--
All eyes were on you, filled with disbelief. Venoct sighed, closing his eyes.
"Wait, say that again—you’re what?" Sonic asked again, completely shocked by what he'd just heard.
You had just returned to the Blasters’ HQ, and the first thing you did was seek out the only one—the only Yo-Kai—who could use the Terror Time energy inside Sonic to safely open a portal back to his world.
And that was when Venoct revealed something that took everyone by surprise.
"Yes, yes, I’m the daughter of this world’s ruler. Surprise." You said, not particularly enthusiastic.
Sonic stood there, stunned.
"So you're telling me I’ve been running around with the Yo-Kai princess this whole time, and nobody told me?!"
You crossed your arms.
"And does that change anything?"
Sonic rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hm... Honestly? Now that you said it, it kinda makes sense. You fight like someone who's been trained since childhood."
Jules patted Sonic on the shoulder.
"Son, you two make a great pair, don't you think?" He chuckled. "Well, it’s an honor to be in your presence, and it'll be an honor to meet your father."
"I'll guide you to where Lord Enma is," Venoct stepped forward.
"I need to talk to Sonic first. Go ahead, Venoct." You nodded to him.
Once your ally had left, taking Sonic’s family with him, you turned to the hedgehog.
"Well, I guess this is it... Are you ready to go back to your world?" Your tone was friendly and playful, trying to keep things light. Sonic laughed awkwardly, scratching his head.
"Ah, yeah, yeah, I’m totally ready..." He hesitated for a moment. "We’ve been through a lot, huh?"
"Yeah, I have to admit, it’s been quite the journey." You adjusted the sleeves of your kimono nervously. "You know... I’m going to miss you, Hero of Mobius."
"Drop the 'hero' thing... I’m just a hedgehog... well, a Robian hedgehog who loves adventures." He chuckled softly, then sighed. "It was really nice getting to know you, (Y/N). But now we gotta go, right? Can’t keep your dad waiting too long."
--*--
Sonic’s family sat in a spacious, luxurious hall inside Lord Enma’s palace, with Venoct standing beside them. The blue flames of the torches cast an ethereal glow over the room, giving the place an air of grandeur and mystery.
You and Sonic arrived at the same time. Sonic's mouth opened slightly in awe at the sight of the palace, his eyes quickly scanning everything until they landed on the familiar silhouettes of his family. Venoct stood beside them, all seated in front of a large table.
On the other side of the table, sitting on a throne-like chair, resting his face on his hand with an amused look, was a red-skinned, yellow-haired figure—whom Sonic assumed to be Lord Enma.
You both approached, Sonic feeling a bit apprehensive, though still somewhat excited to be there. Stopping in front of the grand table, the Yo-Kai ruler observed the two of you with a small smirk before finally speaking in a low voice.
"Now that the formalities are out of the way," Lord Enma began, a mischievous smile playing on his lips, "I think this is the perfect time to share a little something about our dear (Y/N) with our esteemed guests."
Your eyes widened, and a chill ran down your spine, a cold dread settling in your stomach.
"Wait, Dad... What do you mean by that?"
Enma snapped his fingers, and in the blink of an eye, a large scroll unraveled in the air, displaying images projected onto a magical surface. The first picture showed a much younger version of you, dressed in childish pajamas, clutching a huge stuffed animal with a teary expression.
"Awww, look at this! This was the first night (Y/N) tried to sleep alone without a nightlight!" Enma announced, laughing as he pointed at the image.
Sonic tilted his head, barely holding back a laugh.
"Wait, you used to sleep with a nightlight? That’s adorable."
You covered your face with the palm of your hand, feeling overwhelmingly embarrassed, while Sonic couldn’t help but find it hilarious—especially after seeing how formidable a warrior you were.
"Dad! Don’t do this to me!" Your voice sounded desperate, but it only served to encourage Enma even more—after all, he was just getting started. With a wave of his hand, the image changed to another scene: a younger you, running through the palace wearing a crown-like oversized hat that was clearly too big for your head.
"And here we have little (Y/N) wearing some random hat as a crown and proclaiming herself the new ruler of the Yo-Kai World!" Enma laughed.
Jules and Bernadette chuckled softly, exchanging glances, while Shard let out a whistle.
"Look at that, she always had the spirit of a leader!" He turned to Sonic, giving him a subtle wink.
Sonic was struggling to keep his laughter in.
"Hey, maybe you would’ve made a good ruler!" He nudged you with his elbow.
"I was five years old!" You protested, stomping your foot in frustration and embarrassment.
The sequence of images continued: you with a face covered in birthday cake, you tripping and falling straight into a fountain, and finally, a picture that even made Uncle Chuck stifle a chuckle. It was a picture of you sleeping on the palace floor with your mouth wide open, clutching a toy sword.
"This was when she swore she’d stay up all night to patrol the palace," Enma explained. "She lasted exactly fifteen minutes."
Sonic finally lost it, bursting into laughter, slapping his knee.
"This is pure gold! I wish I had seen this in person!"
You covered your face with both hands again, your entire body trembling with embarrassment.
"I'll never get over this..."
Lord Enma smiled, crossing his arms. "Oh, I have more if you want to see."
Before more images could appear, you used your Yo-Kai powers to try to erase the projection, but Enma quickly reversed the spell with a simple gesture.
Sonic put an arm around her shoulders, still laughing. "Relax, princess. This just proves you've always been amazing. Even if, you know, a little clumsy."
You grumbled but ended up resting your forehead against his, still feeling your cheeks warm.
"Well, I think this shows that our new friend has had a pretty eventful life." Jules smiled. "And that she'll fit perfectly into our family." Bernadette nodded.
Lord Enma gave a satisfied smile. "Well, if that's the case, then I think I can consider this introduction dinner a success!"
"What is this, Dad? That's not why we're here!" You crossed your arms at him. "Oh yeah? Well then, go ahead." He still had an amused smile on his face, waiting for you to take a deep breath and finally say what you needed to.

With a crackle and a buzzing sound, the purple-colored portal began to open in front of Lord Enma. "This should do it. I have to say, the amount of Yo-Kai energy in it is impressive, truly." Your father crossed his arms, observing the Robian hedgehog. Then, turning to you again, he noticed your troubled and distracted expression. "Are you going to say goodbye to your friend?"
Snapping out of your trance, you nodded briefly, approaching Sonic. A little farther back, Venoct watched everything while leaning against the wall, and near the portal, Sonic’s family turned their attention to you two.
"Well, I guess this is it... Are you ready to go back to your world?" You tried to sound casual, but something in your voice faltered at the end.
Sonic chuckled, scratching his neck. "Oh, yeah, totally ready... I think."
The silence between you two lasted a little longer than expected. Then, you took something out of your pocket—a small, shining pendant with the symbol of the Enma Tribe engraved on it.
"Take this with you. It can protect you... Or just remind you that you’ll always have a home here too."
Sonic took the amulet carefully, twirling it between his fingers. For some reason, he felt like he shouldn't leave so quickly.
"So... Does this mean I have to come back someday?" He smiled.
You shrugged. "If you want. But don’t expect me to come and get you."
He held the pendant tightly, laughing softly. "It’s good to know I’m still welcome."
You both smiled and nodded. Sonic turned to his family, a strange sense of longing already filling him as he approached his parents.
Bernadette was the first to notice that her son seemed a bit down, placing a hand on his shoulder. The others noticed and gathered closer.
"Son..." She called, lifting his chin to make him look into her eyes. "Listen... It’s okay if you want to stay here... In fact, I wish for your happiness, and if that happiness is here in this world... Then do it."
Sonic’s eyes widened for a moment, left speechless. Jules sighed. "Your mother is right, son. We want what’s best for you, and we understand that you’ve been through a lot in Mobius... Especially in those last days. I could feel how much you were struggling... But here, here you laugh, you have fun, and you have a freedom you never had before... I won’t force you to go back to Mobius. I want you to have the same joy you had before becoming a Robian, and I saw that joy in your eyes here."
"Wait, wait, n-no, this won’t work, I need to protect you, and defeat Eggman—" Bernadette placed a finger over his metallic lips, silencing him.
"Don’t think about that. You have the power to open portals and go there. I’m sure these friendly Yo-Kai will always help you when needed. Visit whenever you can..." She cupped his cheeks, pulling him in to kiss his forehead.
"We’ll be fine, Sonic, and you take care of yourself here." Chuck patted his back.
Sonic’s mother looked into Enma’s eyes, nodding briefly as if a silent understanding passed between them. Then, she hugged her son tightly, followed by the rest of the family.
"This isn’t goodbye, son. We’ll see each other soon." Bernadette held Jules' hand, stepping into the portal first.
"Take care, Sonic, and try not to end up destroying this world with your speed." Shard playfully ruffled his head, while Chuck gave him an approving nod, shaking his nephew’s hand.
Sonic stood still before the portal, the purple energy flickering in the air, the metallic reflection of his body gleaming on the portal’s surface. He lifted a foot, about to step forward... but then stopped.
A tight feeling gripped him. He looked back—at you. And in that instant, he knew he couldn’t leave.
He lowered his foot and took a deep breath. "I... I think I already made my choice."
Bernadette’s eyes shone, but she didn’t cry. Instead, she smiled proudly. "You did, my son. And we’re happy for you."
Even after all his family had stepped through the portal, Sonic remained still, watching it close.
Your first reaction when the portal fully shut was to run to him, kneeling down and pulling him into a hug.
"So, you decided to stay, huh?" You laughed. He chuckled softly, returning the embrace.
Enma approached, crossing his arms.
"Things turned out better than expected, and now you can have your power back!" Enma raised his hand, and a golden glow surrounded both you and Sonic for a brief moment.
"Now, you are officially part of our world and my Tribe, hedgehog." Enma declared.
Sonic blinked, touching his metallic chest as he felt the energy shimmering inside him. "Well, that was... different." He smirked, feeling the Yo-Kai power flow back into him.
"Consider it a gift, a recognition. And also a warning: take good care of my daughter."
"I can’t thank you enough... This place... has become a home for me." Sonic held your hand as you stood beside him.
"Yes, definitely, and I can also see that you and my daughter make a very efficient team. I see no other option but to bless your relationship." He said happily. You felt your face heat up but chose not to react, remaining silent. "It will be good to have someone fighting alongside my daughter. The Blasters always need help, and I’m sure Gargaros won’t easily give up on completely taking over a world, so stay alert and work together to prevent that."
"As you wish, Father." You bowed briefly. "I’m looking forward to this new chapter of my life." You squeezed his hand briefly, and Sonic nodded.
The two of you, ready to start a new life—one that would last for eternity.
--*--
Sonic never thought he would one day choose to stay away from Mobius. But there he was, sitting on the rooftop of Lord Enma’s Palace, gazing at the vast starry sky of the Yo-Kai World. The night breeze blew gently, and for the first time in a long while, he felt something close to peace. He felt complete and content, no longer sensing that emptiness inside him or the feeling that something was missing ever since he first became a robotic being.
Life had changed drastically since he became a Robian, but somehow, he had found something that made it all worth it—you.
"(Y/N), you’re stalling again, aren’t you?" Sonic turned his head, watching you standing beside him, holding a small scroll in your hands.
"Me? Never," you replied with a mischievous smile.
"Uh-huh, sure... So, what does Lord Enma want from us now?"
You sighed, sitting next to him, your shoulders touching.
"Nothing much... He was just helping me plan our next mission. We have countless places with Yo-Kais that need to be kept in check, as well as ensuring the Yo-Kai World and other realms coexist peacefully. It’s going to be quite the job."
Sonic stayed silent for a moment, looking at his metallic hands. He missed his old life, running across the open fields of Mobius, battling Eggman, feeling the real wind against his face. But now, he also had a new purpose—to help the worlds, prevent anomalies like the ones that had occurred, and ensure harmony between Yo-Kais and other species.
And more than that, he had someone by his side now.
He averted his gaze to you, watching how your eyes gleamed under the moonlight, how the fabric of your kimono swayed gently. He remembered the fear he felt when he almost lost you and the certainty that came after. Just the thought of returning to his world without you caused him physical pain, proving that he would never be able to live without your presence by his side again.
"Well, we have to decide on our first mission, then," he said softly.
"Hmm, I’ve got an idea! How about a little investigation in Mobius? There's a surge of Yo-Kai energy coming from the top of a mountain," you said excitedly, watching as his smile grew wider. Sonic stood up.
"So, I guess that makes us the official guardians of balance between worlds, huh?" you said, rolling up the scroll and securing it at your waist near your sheathed sword.
"Yeah, and we're gonna do it in style!" Sonic winked at you.
Your laughter echoed through the night, and once again, Sonic couldn't shake the feeling that this was right—this was where he had always needed to be.
You watched Sonic for a moment, seeing the moonlight reflect off his metallic body.
"Do you regret it?"
He looked at you and shook his head.
"No. For the first time in a long while... I feel like I belong somewhere." Then, he flashed his signature grin, a spark of excitement in his eyes. "Now, let’s go before things get too sentimental."
You chuckled, and together, you leaped from the rooftop, ready for the next adventure.
He didn’t know what the future held for them, but one thing was certain—they would face it together.

CROSSOVERS
brickbattler
when he gets bored, good things do NOT come of it. (we're talking EXCESSIVE chaos. like, full on catastrophic) he is not tamable. i'm sorry nobody can fix him his penchant for destruction is too strong —BUT i feel like him and survivalist r close friends in some way (i saw someone else also kind of thought this and i love them for that so much /p) he has a sweet tooth (you will die if you find out) rocket launcher spammer (and he probably does all those cool doomspire tricks too. you do NOT wanna see him on the battlefield)
survivalist
i feel like he would rather sit out all the chaos and kinda chill out. idk he has like, an unlimited amount of apples. seriously. no one knows where he gets them. he's probably good at survival tips and some select medical stuff he has a mild fear of heights he's way easily startled. like, if you tap him on the shoulder from behind or something he will see the light of heaven for a moment

they have (in my design) half of their face and their whole right arm covered in ice. they cannot feel anything on this side. don’t try to touch it it is permanently freezing.
overkill
their saliva, tears, blood n eyes in general are pure magma. they are also resistent to heat but feel perpetually hot don’t ask how their magma is cooled by ice/shard/snow etc. it’s hard for them to see when they get cooled because their eyes turn to solid lava rock. logic. don’t ask

Scattered Remains (TMNT 2012 and Rise! Crossover)
Summary: After April’s enhanced psychic powers destroy Donnie, she attempts to bring him back to life. But, the purple turtle she finds is not her own
Warnings: Spoilers for TMNT 2012 Season 4, Episode 22
A/N: I’m finally done with the first chapter! If this does well, I might create a comic based off of it on my art account!
Fic starts below cut
TMNT 2012 Masterlist
Rise of the TMNT Masterlist
Main Masterlist
“Red, is that really you?” Casey asks, as he cautiously approaches April.
“I think so. But Donnie,” she says with teary eyes, “What have I done.”
The group stands still for a moment before Leonardo breaks the tense silence.
“It’s not your fault April. You had no control,” he says.
“But it is!” she gasps, looking up at him through her tears, “It was all me in a way. If only-”
She pauses for a moment, focusing on the broken crystal shards.
“Donnie’s not gone! He wasn’t really destroyed, just molecularly scattered,” she says as she faces the turtles and Casey, “I can bring him back.”
The boys watch in anticipation as April’s powers hone in on Donnie’s energy. If she can bring him back, she can make her family whole again.
She has to bring him back.
The turtles and Casey watch as blue sparks fly through the air, forming the silhouette of a body.
The turtles watch, full of anticipation. Their brother wasn’t gone. He was coming back!
Their excitement quickly turns to horror as they realize the figure in front of them is not Donatello.
Though not their missing brother, April still managed to bring another mutant turtle to the place where Donnie had been vaporized minutes before.
This turtle seemed younger, maybe by a year or so.
Raphael breaks the stunned silence as he holds a sai against the neck of the unfamiliar turtle.
“Who the hell are you? And where’s my brother?”
“Woah, Raph! Chill out dude!” says Michelangelo, pushing his brother out of the way, “He’s just a kid. And he’s scared.”
Michelangelo was right. The mystery turtle was still pale and shaking even as Raphael released him from the ground.
“It's ok mystery dude! We’re not gonna hurt you…anymore,” says Michelangelo, glaring pointedly at his hotheaded brother.
Raph rolls his eyes in annoyance.
“What are you doing Mikey? This is some random mutant that April brought here with her freaky crystal powers. We have no idea what it’s capable of.”
“Mikey’s right,” says Leo after a long stretch of silence, “This turtle is just a lost kid. He was brought here with April’s powers, which means he’s our responsibility. We have to take him back to the lair.”
“Are you crazy Leo? We have to focus on finding Donnie. Our brother is lost somewhere and you're focused on a random mutant we found on the street!”
Before another argument could break out, the mystery turtle interjected.
“Your brother’s name is Donatello?”
The group of teenagers looked over in shock. Michelangelo was the first one to respond.
“Yeah, dude. He disappeared when April got possessed by a freaky alien crystal.”
“The same crystal that brought you here,” says April in shock, “I was trying to find Donnie, but it brought you instead.”
“So that means…you’re Donnie?” asks Casey.
“Yes,” says the other turtle, “Just not your Donnie..”
“We have to get back to the lair and talk to Master Splinter. We’ll come up with a plan to find our Donnie and get this Donnie back home.”
“Seriously Leo?” Says Raph, “You’re gonna believe him just like that? Even if he is a Donnie he’s not our brother. We can’t just take him to the lair.”
“Think about it Raph,” says Casey, “If April accidentally brought the other Donnie here, our Donnie is probably stuck wherever he came from. Trustingthe other Donnie is our best bet.”
Raph huffs, but doesn’t argue any further.
“That’s it then. We’re headed back to the lair,” said Leo, “April, you should probably come with us. Maybe you can help Donnie replicate the research that you and Donnie did on the crystal.”
April and other Donnie both nod in agreement.
“I might be able to use other me’s research to try to replicate a similar
kind of technology that could get me home,” said the alternate Donnie, “If all goes well we should be able to find your brother too.”
The group looks to Raphael, gauging his reaction.
“Fine,” he said after a beat of silence, “But that doesn’t mean we trust you. All we need you for is to get Donnie back.”
The group sits in tense silence as Raphael stalks off towards the Shellraiser.
“Don’t worry about Raph little dude!” says Michelangelo with a small smile,
“He’s just worried about Donnie. He’ll come around.
“Mikey’s right. It’s nothing personal…probably,” says Leo before looking over to the Shellraiser, “We need to get back to the lair and tell Master Splinter what happened.”
“It’s late, I should probably get home,” Casey finally speaks up, “Let me know if you come up with any ideas on finding Donnie.”
The group watches as his figure retreats into the night before following
Leo into the Shellraiser.

I Need You
Dan heng x RWBY!reader
Fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, isekai?
A/n: I hope you don't mind that I changed some things up, I haven't gotten past Jarilo VI yet. Also, gonna make Stelle and 7th date in this bc yes. Sorry for the amount of shit that's ooc. Hope you enjoy :]
Readers semblance is called snowfall. They turn themself into snow in the same way Ruby turns herself into a cloud of rose petals, can also add more people to it. But they can also make frozen platforms and such the same way Weiss uses her glyphs. They can't use the snow to change/affect anyone though, like time dilation, nor can they mix any dust in with it(aside from ice to make it more affective). They can't summon in the same way Weiss can either, just small inanimate objects like shards of ice.
_______________
"RUBY!" Y/n yelled out as they used their semblance to pull Neo away from their friend, and towards themself. They used their sickle and tried to cut her, but it was just another of Neo's illusions. They looked back at Ruby as the illusion shattered like glass and they saw her trying to push Neo off of herself. "GODDAMMIT! NEOPOLITAN!" They yelled out in a rage, using their semblance to burst forward and landed on her back, hooking their two sickles over the closed parasol to lock it under Neo's chin and leaned back, pulling Neo off of their friend.
Neopolitan wasn't able to keep her balance up, with them on her back and choking her with her own weapon, so she fell backwards and landed near the edge of the platform that was surrounded by nothingness. It made Y/n lose their grip on the girl and fall off completely. But not before taking Hush, Neo's weapon, down with them. Hopefully, they had helped their friends, even if just a little..
-
Cold. That was all they felt. The chill of winter. Were they in the Tundra of Solitas?.. how did they get there.. what were they doing..? Everything was fuzzy after the broadcast was sent..
Even with their closed eyelids, everything was so bright. They could still feel their two sickles in their hands, something was connecting the two."I need to get out.. before my aura depletes completely.." They thought and tried to stand, letting go of a sickle to cover their eyes from the harsh brightness. Finally they opened their eyes to look down and saw they sickles still connected to Hush. "Oh.. right.. me and Ruby were fighting Neo.. Ruby! Where- wait.."
"Where am I..?" They asked aloud as they looked around. It definitely felt like Solitas, but something was different.. it wasn't as cold as the tundra should have been.. and where is Atlas? It should be right infront of them in ruins. They looked up to the sky, still shading their eyes and saw the moon. It was whole.
A loud yell was heard from behind them. Their eyes still hadn't adjusted to the brightness. Maybe they should have taken Coco's advice a year back and invested in some sunglasses. Oh well, no use in thinking about that now. They turned around to look back and saw a blonde man in armor. That definitely wasn't Atlesian armor. Just where the fuck were they? And where was Yang. She has to have been here aswell. I mean she fell down before they did! The man started to speak. No, more like interrogate them, but they couldn't understand a single word.
"What's going on? And where am I? I was supposed to help with the evacuation from Atlas!" Y/n started to explain, but the man just seemed to grow more confused. He spoke up again, this time in a softer tone, but it just sounded like jibberish to Y/n. He was speaking another language, that's for sure, but it wasn't one of the four from the kingdoms. Was this some native language from people who lived out here?.. But that should be impossible, Solitas is almost completely uninhabitable. Then again, they've seen the proof that this wasnt Remnant. Just who was this man?
Y/n tried once again to speak, this time in Mistralian, "Hello..? Do you know where I am..?" While it hadn't been that long since they last spoke it, it still felt weird. But atleast it got results. The man seemed to understand what they were saying. "My name is Y/n.. I don't know where I am or how I got here.. could you help me..?"
The man nodded before clearing his throat. "Yes. Here, come with me back to the city. We will get everything sorted after. It is.. dangerous out here." He spoke, choppy and not quite all there. Almost like it was a new language he was still learning.
He just stood there expectantly, waiting for them to move. And so they did. But not before picking up the sickle they had dropped and placing the two back in their designated sheaths. Then followed the blonde man.
-
Y/n had been living in Belabog long enough to have learnt the native language. They had learnt about the fragmentum and the monsters it brought. And while they were an upgrade of the typical grimm they had fought back on Remnant, the fragmentum beasts weren't necessarily hard to defeat. The man who had rescued them had taught Y/n all about this world and its language was called Gepard. He had also taught them about the Fragmentum beasts.
But they were getting tired of living here. They missed the others, and they still weren't able to locate Yang. Did she just.. not make it..? Or was she in a different universe entirely? Did the others make it to Vacuo? Was Penny safe? Was Ruby able to beat Neo? They kept wondering things like this, it sucked. To be fair, maybe they died and passed on to a different realm, but still. It worried Y/n that they didn't know anything about their old friends, or if they were even still alive anymore. They hadn't told Gepard anything about their past, claiming to have amnesia. He seemed to buy it, since they clearly didn't know anything about this world.
-
"It's the suspect and his accomplices! Arrest them!" One of the Silvermane guards had yelled out as a suspicious looking man fled the scene, leaving three others behind to fight. Y/N was currently with Gemard on patrol when they had heard all the commotion. They weren't necessarily working for the Silvermane guards, but they did like to help every now and again.
"Hey! Where do you think you're-!" The girl in.. a summer dress? Yelled out to the man, but he had already fled. And just like that, the guards started attacking.
"Should we step in?" Y/n asked, but Gepard just shook his head.
"Not yet." He said.
And so they waited, but the guards were getting their asses handed to them. "Gepard.." Y/n warned. He said nothing. It was only until the girl in the dress was shooting a frozen arrow did he move. Walking over and blocking her attack completely. The girl gasped and took a step back. Was that something she's never seen before?
"I, Gepard Landau, Captain of the silvermane guards, order you to relinquish your futile resistance." He said, but they didn't let up. Instead, the girl spat out a threat.
"GRR!! That Sampo cheated us! Oh just wait till I get my hands on him!" She yelled and her grip on her bow tightened as she thrashed it.
"Suspect! Relinquish your resistance!" One of the guards piped up. It seemed to make her more angry.
"Ugh! So I'm a criminal now?! Forget about Sampo, wait till I get my hands on YOU!" She yelled and fired an arrow at the guard. The fight went pretty much how they had expected it to go. Gepard defeated the group.
"And what of the prime suspect? The one with blue hair." He asked another guard, who answered in apology as he explained how the suspicious guy had managed to get away. But Gepard shrugged off the apology and focused on the three infront of him. "Atleast we have his accomplices. He'll be close by, plotting his next move." But the three explained how they weren't connected to the weird guy at all. And even showed a picture of the planet. Jarilo VI.. it was kind of beautiful from afar..
"Gepard, may I speak with them..?" Y/n spoke up, standing next to the tall blonde. He simply nodded and turned to talk with his guards. "So.. you're all from other planets?" They asked, tilting their head. And two of the three nodded. The tall guy just seemed to stay quiet, like he wasn't actually a part of the conversation, he looked like Ren. "Can I ask you all something.. because I'm guessing you've traveled to other planets aswell.. have you come across one named Remnant..?" They asked, they knew they shouldn't be hopeful but it just seeped into their voice. Sadly the girl shook her head.
"Sadly, I can't say I've been to a planet named that. Can you describe what it looks like..? Do you have any photos of it, or maybe a map of some sorts?" She spoke, she genuinely wanted to help. It made them feel a little hopeful again. She seemed a lot like Nora, it made Y/n want to chuckle.
"Yeah, here." Y/n pulled out their scroll so show her a photo of Remnants map. Hoping that she had atleast seen it. But she only shook her head.
"I'm sorry.. I can't say I've ever seen it. What about you, Dan Heng? Have you ever seen a planet like this?" She asked the tall man, but he shook his head aswell. Y/n seemed sad at the response, but remembered the shattered moon.
"Here! Have you seen this moon anywhere??" They held up a picture of the shattered moon. By the brothers.. they missed it. The two shook their heads again. "Is she new..?" Y/n asked and pointed at the third person.
"Yeah! This is Stelle! Our newest addition!" The shorter girl clung to Stelle. "Oh! Hey, do you think that if we explain the situation to Himeko, that we can bring them along and help them find their home?" She asked.. Dan Heng, was his name? But he sighed and shook his head.
"I don't know." The two reminded them of Ren and Nora. It made them sad to think about, they still didn't know if anyone was okay or not.
-
Y/n hadn't expected this to happen, but they kind of just tagged along with the three other-worlders. Much to Gepard's dismay. It was fun. Like back in Atlas when they were wanted criminals. Well.. maybe fun wasn't the right word to use. But it was entertaining and helped Y/n keep their mind occupied for a little while. Then, when they arrived in the underworld, helping the Happy hun- no, these were Wildfire, not the happy huntresses.
They couldn't help but mix the two up. The leader, who they had later found out was Natasha and not Oleg, was like a secret love child of Robyn, May and Winter.
During this entire time, Y/n found out that the short girl was called March 7th (they just liked to call her 7th) and that she and Stelle were dating. Which, Stelle kind of reminded them of Blake and Pyrrha. They also found that Dan Heng was often left alone or third wheeling, so Y/n liked to join him when out on patrol. Often going out on walks, nothing was said between the two, they just liked being in eachothers presence.
It had been hard for Y/n to open up about anything with these three. But they were the only ones who truly understood what they needed. That's why they liked spending time with Dan Heng. They never felt like they needed to speak.
-
They sucked in a breath, standing on the platform they created. This was bad. Really bad. Svarog wasn't going to listen to the four of them, and Stelle wasn't helping. They needed to get Dan Heng and the others out of here. Bursting into snowfall, they tried to merge with them, but only managed to reach Dan Heng before svarog shot a waring at the two, flinging Y/n away from the others while Dan Heng landed behind the two women.
-
After the fight, 7th walked up to Y/n with sparkling eyes "You can turn yourself into snow?!" She seemed so excited. Too excited. They blushed from embarrassment as 7th was practically pushed up against them.
"W-well..-"
"March. Leave them be." Dan Heng said and pulled the girl off of Y/n. Which in return made them smile and nod a thanks in return. "Although, I am quite curious aswell.." Y/n let out a sigh before nodding.
"It's called a semblance.. everyone on my world has one." They said plainly, not wanting to get into more detail. "Mine is Snowfall."
-
Over time, Y/n opened up a bit more. And bit by bit, started to laugh and have fun. They still preferred to be around Dan Heng, he was like Blake and Ren. Comfortable. It made them more willing to open up.
"So.. how do people get their semblances?" He asked, sitting on the ground next to them, leaning against a wall.
"Well first, a good step is to unlock your aura- err, soul. It's different for everyone. Mine came to me one day while I was training with a friend.. he attacked and I forgot to activate my aura- soul's force field. His blade went straight into my stomach and I suddenly found myself flung into a wall, blade still lodged in my side." They chuckled at the memory, hand over where their friend had left a permanent scar.
-
"And who is this?" Himeko asked, clearly on edge around Y/n. Having never seen this person before, she suspected them to be someone from either Jarilo VI or worse case scenario, a Stellaron Hunter. Even Pom-pom was hiding from them. The same way the little bunny hid from a Stellaron Hunter.
"This is Y/n, they're trying to find a way back to their homeworld. A planet named Remnant." 7th explained, much to Himeko's disapproval.
Himeko turned to Dan Heng and asked if he was sure they could be trusted, "I don’t see why they wouldn't be.. I mean they helped with everything on Jarilo VI. Along with Stelle." He stated. Himeko still felt skeptical but alas, this wasn't her decision to make, it was Pom-pom's.
"I say they can stay.. for the time being, but you all better keep an eye on them!" Pom-pom said seriously. Himeko sighed and smiled at Y/n.
"I.. apologize for that" She said, but they shook their head.
"No, it's good to be skeptical. I don't blame you for it." After all, they had been skeptical of anyone within the Atlas military when they first arrived at Atlas. And even though they didn't like being observed, they understood the caution.
-
Over time, everyone warmed up to Y/n. Even Pom-pom liked them. They always brought some kind of gift back for the little conductor. Himeko, while she had no more suspicions on them, she felt uneasy around them. There was something about their calmness. Why was someone so young, so good with combat? An 18 year old who has combat experience on the same level as a war veteran. It wasn't something she wanted to think about. She heard someone's voice from the next room over and decided to evesdrop in on the conversation.
"So.. you're telling me that in your world, kids are trained from the age of 13 in combat?" Dan Heng asked Y/n, and they nodded their head
"Yeah! See, we have these creatures named grim, they're like Fragmentum beasts but much more mindless. And they're attracted to negative emotions, so in order to protect the cities, we train the next generationof huntsmen and huntresses." They said proudly, though there was clearly something off with how they stated it. Dan Heng wasn't going to ask about it though, he felt that if he did, they would distance themself. That's not something he wanted. He had grown to enjoy their company quite a lot, so the thought of accidentally ruining that by bringing up something they weren't ready to talk about yet felt...
"I see." He smiled at Y/n. "Is that why you're such a good fighter? Would you mind training with me from time to time?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. The smile and nod he received as an answer made him smile in return, though, only a little.
-
The black fog that spewed out all over the floor of the cart brought everyone to high alert. Pom-pom stuck to Welt's side, clearly terrified of the unknown substance. It wasn't until Y/n walked into the train cart that the black ooze started forming in the middle of the room. Dripping from the ceiling down to the floor, creating a small puddle.
"Hm, and here I was, looking for.. someone else." a familiar voice rang out and Y/n instinctively got into battle stance, panic rising. "Now, now.." she spoke out again, rising from the puddle with a.. another hound?! "Do you really think you could take me on? Don't you remember what happened to poor little Summer Rose?" She smirked directly at the huntsman, "and you remember my hound, don't you? How it bested you?~"
Instead of fighting like they should, Y/n dropped their weapons, taking a few steps back, tripping and falling over themself with a scream. Salem just looked irritated. Although, the hound didn't budge one bit.
"Hm~? And here I was, about to inform you about all that has happened. How team RWBY died." She smirked to herself, "go." She said before puffing into a black smoke and the hound sprang into action, leaping at Y/n.
Too frozen in fear, Y/n could only watch as the hound pounced at them.
Then something knocked it away to the side. A spear. "Are you okay?" A voice asked. Who was it..? They couldn't register anyone or anything aside from the hound. Which just stood up like it was nothing.
"Kill.." It said. It's voice more feminine than the last. It's body contorted as it turned towards Y/n. "Kill.. silver eyes.." It said again, walking towards them.
"Y/N! SNAP OUT OF IT!" yelled a woman, loud enough to shock the young huntsman out of their fear. Himeko. Then they noticed an arrow sticking out of its back. Multiple. They were 7th's.
"Someone! Help me blast its face off!" They yelled and got up, grabbing their sickles. Immediately, Himeko shot at the hounds face. Under it was a young woman. Far to familiar for comfort. It looked almost like..
...
...
A blinding white light filled the room as the grim disappeared into dust. Only human bones remained. No.. this was a faunus. She had a tail. Their breath was choppy.
"What... who.. what was that..?" Pom-pom asked, still hiding behind Welt. "Y/n..? Y/N?!" was the last thing they heard from the conductor before collapsing.
-
Their eyes fluttered open, looking around the room. Dan Heng was asleep next to their bed. The conductor was also there, though it looked more like they had just walked in. "H-hello, Pom-pom.." their voice was hoarse, but it still made the little bunny look up with glee.
"Oh! You're awake!" Pom-pom exclaimed, placing the tray with tea that the huntsman only now seemed to notice. "I was hoping that you would wake, so I made some tea. Perfect timing, really." The little conductor smiled at Y/n. "Oh, could you wake Dan Heng? He's been worried sick, hasn't left your side since the incident. He can join us for tea!"
"No need.." Dan Heng's head raised from his position, his eyes just barely opened. "To wake me up I mean." He added, realizing that they might have thought he meant the tea part. "I'll gladly join you both for tea."
Pom-pom made one cup for each of them, handing it out to Dan Heng and Y/n. This was so calming, but Y/n didn't really remember anything, so wasn't sure why they were in the medical cart. Lifting their cup to their mouth, they asked hesitantly "... so what happened..? Before I passed out." It made the other two nervous, they didn't even know. All Dan Heng knew was that there was a grim and some grim woman.
"I.." he started, before pausing to collect his thoughts better. "You seemed to recognize the woman. And there was a grim, or I think it was atleast." It seemed like with what he said made the memories of that night flood back to them.
".. ruby.." They gasped, but remembered that it was a faunus, and not the powerful girl they were close friends with. A headache came on quickly, making the huntsman grip their head with agony. "Ngg..."
"Y/n?" Dan Heng reached his hand out to them, placing it over their forehead. Concern filled him as he felt how they were burning up. Though, his hand was considerably cold making the huntsman sigh with relief. "You're burning up.." he muttered.
Pom-pom handed him a glass of water, "it's for them. Cold. Hopefully it will help. I'll leave some pain killers here. I need to get back to work." The little conductor motioned to the bedside table that had a small box of meds. Dan Heng took the glass, thanking Pom-pom. The conductor nodded and left.
"Drink. You'll feel better." Dan Heng's voice rang out as Y/n felt the rim of the cold glass press against their lips. Helping them drink the water, he asked "need something for the pain?" And they nodded.
A while after he gave them a pain killer and they finished the water, they fell back asleep. He decided to put an ice pack on their head before falling asleep in the chair he was on.
-
"Finally well enough to be up and about?" Himeko asked, and Y/n nodded. It was a relief seeing the young huntsman moving around. Especially since Dan Heng seemed to be so worried about them.
"I wanted to ask.. is there a possibility that we would be able to find my home land soon..?" They didn't mean for it to sound the way it did. But the way it came out made them seem desperate to leave the crew.
Himeko definitely picked up on that, and she wasn't going to lie, it made her feel kind of sad. "Any particular reason? I get wanting to go home, but.."
"I've seen similar events happen.. I.. I just don't want to be the reason you all die.. especially not like that.." the memories had been flooding their mind ever since they woke up after Salem's attack. It had been almost a year since the platforms to Vacuo plan so they've had time to process and move on from that experience. It had been a few months since they last thought about Remnant in that way. But now that they knew Salem could reach them.. Y/n was terrified, and the nightmares had come back to haunt them.
"We deal with stellarons on a daily basis. I think we'll be fine." Stelle had randomly popped up to say her sass of the day. And while it did make Y/n smile, they still couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened on Remnant because of them and team RWBY.
"Yeah, I suppose.. but Salem.. nevermind. I just want to go home." They looked at their feet, feeling ashamed that they had wanted to leave this amazing group of people. The refused to look up, even when a hand was placed on their shoulder.
"If something like that happens again.. we- we have no idea how to stop it. We would have been dead if it wasn't for you. Please stay. We need you... I need you."
It was Dan Heng's voice. He had whispered that last part, but they could still hear it. Did he- a blush crept onto their face and finally, they looked up at him.
"You make me happy. Comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I feel happy and comfortable with everyone else here, but it's never awkward with you. I've grown to realize that I need you. Please, stay. I love you."
It was probably the most they had ever heard him say in one go. And, even with his monotone voice, they still heard the emotions he put into it.
"Did you.. have you been practicing that line?" Y/n couldn't help but smile, their blush growing. And so did his.
Feeling bashful, he looked away before answering with a small "Yes.."
"I love you too"

Come Hel or High Lord: Ch 15
Chapter 15: Returning the Favor
Words: 8700 (real chunky bby)
Reminder: This is a crossover between all SJM series. So spoilers for TOG, ACOTAR, and CC
Summary:
I don't know where all this plot came from but if y'all could look past the fact that it's held together with two pieces of chewed up gum and some glitter that would be great. Just here for the vibes...
More of the snippet below the cut. Read on Ao3
Azriel slumped down onto the sharp shards of slate at the edge of the lake and looked out at it’s glassy surface. It was more than a little reckless coming here of all places after what he had just done, but it’s the only place he wanted to be. Going home wasn’t an option until he had calmed down and he couldn’t stand the thought of being around another living soul anyway. Shame washed over him and he buried his face in his palms, pressing them tightly into his eyes. Then he began to laugh. Laughing at himself, his situation, the past, he didn’t know, it didn't really matter all that much but he couldn’t stop. It wasn’t until he found himself pounding into the slate with bloody fists, that he snapped back into his body, letting his mania of laughter subside in gulps as he worked to calm himself.
The blood dripped lazily from the ends of his fingers as Azriel stood and walked to the edge of the lake. The water would be freezing but he felt numb anyway and needed to wash the blood from his hands. Just as the tips of his fingers skimmed the water, Azriel felt a burst of power split his mind down the middle. He fell backward from his crouch, clutching the sides of his skull. Feyre was screaming into his head. AZRIEL PLEASE AZ WHERE ARE YOU What’s wrong? His panicked thoughts raced out to meet her but he found only empty space. FEYRE?! Nothing. Fuck. Azriel took a deep, calming breath, readying his shadows to take him to the River House when she found him again. HOUSE OF WIND… NOWHERE ELSE Feyre. What’s going on? Az… you’re too far away .. I can’t .. Feyre I’m here, I’m here. His heart was racing and he didn’t want to leave until it was clear what she needed from him. Go … House of Wind …. She must have been expending a tremendous amount of energy to communicate with him from such a distance. It’s why her message was broken into pieces. I’m coming Feyre! He screamed down the weakening link between their minds, hoping she heard it. Briefly, he thought about running back to Eris, wanting to tell him something was happening and to … to what? Be safe? Help him? Azriel let out a rattled breath, shaking his head at his stupidity and willed his shadows to take him directly to the House of Wind. It was too far of a jump with the house wards to also contend with but he poured raw magic from his siphons into the jump, impressing upon them that they had to make it work. There wasn’t time. In a mass of black and cobalt, magic swirled around him, lifting his sweaty, blood-coated curls from where they were plastered to his face. His hazel eyes crackled with energy as it built up in his veins, his body preparing to move and with a shuddering boom, he was gone.

'Next week comes the strangest pairing at the multiplex we've seen in years. We're talking, of course, about Greta Gerwig's Barbie and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer — together dubbed Barbenheimer — set to go toe-to-toe for box office dominance on 21 July. The former is a hot pink franchise comedy inspired by the iconic line of Mattel dolls, the latter a stylistically austere biopic about the invention of the atomic bomb. Such is the striking contrast at play, of course the internet (read: Twitter) was going to do what the internet does and meme the shit out of it: now, all anyone can talk about online is Barbenheimer, sucking attention away from other major summer releases like Mission: Impossible 7 and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Though this clash of cinematic titans might've been elevated to event prominence by the internet's collective love of ironic memedom, it's hardly the first example of diametrically opposed movies dropping on the same day. Fifteen years ago in the US, on 18 July 2008, cinemas were similarly split into two queues: the Batman enthusiasts on one side, clamouring to get into The Dark Knight and usher in a new superhero movie age; on the other, ABBA stans awaited a trip to the sunny isles of a fictional Greek island in Mamma Mia!. Had the internet grown beyond its cringey 9gag nascency by then, it might've been the original Barbenheimer. The Dark Mamma, if you will.
After all, there are huge parallels between the duelling duos. The Dark Knight was the dark and dreary, terminally serious Christopher Nolan movie. Mamma Mia!, the fun-loving “chick flick”, a jukebox musical for the gays and girlies to let their hair down with campy, sun-kissed escapism. Say you did the double bill back then: you could spend two-and-a-half hours with Christian Bale growling gravely under the cape and cowl, then it'd be time for cocktails on the beach with Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan. With Barbenheimer, it's another pitch-black Nolan flick where its male lead does a lot of broody staring into the middle distance, contemplating the deep evils now ushered unto the world, paired against Barbie, where men are Just Ken. For both Mamma Mia! and Barbie, it's hard to think of more colourful chasers to stave off Post-Nolan Depression.
The Dark Mamma, alas, never took off as Barbenheimer has. Indeed most people online, anecdotally, simply forgot that the two released on the same day, such was the broad surprise when viral tweets prompted by Barbenheimer brought new attention to the OG. (Here in the UK, they came out eleven days apart.) Little media coverage at the time pointed to the contrast, the most prominent article available on Google search being a Vulture piece from the week of release, the headline of which jokingly announced Mamma Mia! and The Dark Knight as battling “for the very soul of America.” Strikingly similar contrasts were zeroed in on: “Are you a happy person, or a sad one? Do you see the glass as half-full, or half-empty? Do you prefer your toast with strawberry jam, or do you like it sprinkled with shards of broken glass?” All ring true of Barbenheimer, too, only the question now isn't which, so much as which first. Shard sarnies, nevertheless, remain ill-advised.
Hollywood studios know exactly what they're doing with such stark counter-programming: the lack of demographic crossover suggests, on paper, that the movies won't eat into each other's profits, giving audiences a variety of options. In 2003, for example, X-2 was released into US cinemas on the same day as The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road roared onto screens simultaneous to Pitch Perfect 2. Barbenheimer is distinct in that we seldom get such a major clash of two big-budget summer blockbusters, nor a meme-propelled online movement spawning Etsy merch and Twitter stan rivalries. But that's the key thing, and the true movie-loving spirit of Barbenheimer: while we might joke about Nolan nuking Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse, these aren't warring parties battling for audience supremacy. Much like The Dark Knight and Mamma Mia! — which went on to be the first and fifth-highest grossing movies of 2008 — early projections suggest that both Barbie and Oppenheimer will both do pretty well for themselves. And there's only one winner when that happens: the movies.'

Broken Dreamer and the Seven Stars
One of two Mario/KN8 crossovers that came to mind. This involves Super Mario RPG in particular as the other will revolve around the Fawful Saga of the Mario and Luigi RPGs. Now let's get started.
A mysterious epidemic has slowly began to spread throughout Japan. People falling asleep and never waking up. Every single one stuck in what seems to be an endless nightmare that varies. The only correlation between them were these few words garner by multiple sleep talkers: The stars are breaking.
A few days later, 30 year old Kafka Hibino would mysteriously disappear. There no signs of a break in or the man even leaving his apartment. He simply returned from work and went to bed on the night he would disappear. The only sign that something was a mysterious indent in the mattress, one which eeriely looks something pierced through.
An unconscious Kafka Hibino is soon found by a wandering Shaman and taken to Moleville. Unbeknownst to the unaware populace, this man had been changed if one sees the broken black crystal tattoo etch on his right hand. Well until Kafka freaks out upon waking to a giant talking mole and a seemingly inhuman hooded figure.
The man suddenly transforms into monstrous mole version of himself from sheer fright! It seems that whatever had taken Kafka to this world had grant him the ability to transform and even summon monsters. Taking pity on the man, the Shaman teaches him how to control these powers.
Kafka stays in Moleville for at least a week as he tries to understand what had happened to him. All while helping the townsfolk and learn to control his newfound magic. Believing Kafka is ready the Shaman tells him to seek the Frog Sage at Tadpole Pond for guidance.
The man bids everyone farewell and sets off on his journey. Of course with new gear alongside essentials provided by the townsfolk. The plot of Super Mario RPG truly kicks off once Kafka leaves Moleville. (Can't have him staying there to wait for our heroes.)
Best way to describe Kafka's outfit would be similar to Dynamite Anton's attire from AntonBlast if it was for mining and his starting weapon is a Pickaxe. His starting abilities are: Summon (Shard/Lava Bubble/Cluster), Transform(Buzzer/Mole/Shaman), and Earthshaker(Break the ground around enemies with a Pickaxe.)
He bumps into Mario and Mallow during their first visit to Tadpole Pond. Kafka joins the group on their journey as maybe he could find out what him here. (Plus he wasn't gonna to abandon someone in need especially if it involves missing family and friends.)
You can bet Kafka gets pulled into a lot of shenanigans as he helps Mario's group. There are slight changes with his inclusion. Here are a few that I've gotten so far.
Monstro Town holds a lot more importance when it comes to Kafka. I'm not just talking about his magic either. Will say collecting the Shiny and Extra Shiny Stones have become mandatory into getting him home.
The destruction of Star Road is partly responsible for the epidemic in Kafka's world aka the Shatter Star Coma. A place connected to people's wishes would honestly have more consequences to its destruction. Though there's another string tying to this mysterious epidemic.
Kafka attempts to reform Bowser! Considering how the Koopa King acts, our himbo has faith he can stop the entire 'Capture Princess Peach' status quo. Also Bowser accidentally kisses Kafka during the whole Booster wedding nonsense. (I failed the minigame so Mario got kissed by both Booster and Bowser but this switch up sounds funnier. Although if people ship the Koopa King with Kafka then go for it.)
Our himbo still has his magic and items from the adventure once he returns home. Kafka does experiment with it for two reasons. One is he rather not fall out of practice(it would be disrespectful to the Shaman who helped him.) The second being he could help others with it.
Kafka essentially becomes a vigilante of sorts for the next few years. Since he aged out, the only other way he can standby Mina is through this path. Luckily his transformation magic makes it easier to keep a secret identity.
The Defense Force are clueless when it comes to who or what their new vigilante is. Only thing everyone can come to agree with being his alias: Proteus. (After the elusive Greek God who uses shapeshifting to slip from people's grasp.)
The mystery would truly unravel when Kaiju No.8 makes his debut. (Whether Kafka joins the Defense Force or not is still up in the air though.)

All he wanted was peace. Could he have it? Of course not. What was meant to be a holiday in the First, ended up being lost who knows where? After wandering what felt like hours he saw a man over a bloodied corpse, Uma drew his sword and readied his shield as he ran forward to stop the attacker to be met with that explanation. The Elezen? Seemed to be playing innocent, the Miqo'te didn't buy it. "You say it like you're doing a good thing. Give me a reason to believe you and that you didn't kill him in cold blood." He gave a signature Warrior of Light glare and a toothy snarl as he pondered over the question.
"That was… Rude." Was all Uma could respond with. He gave the Elezen another look but instead it was mainly confusion and annoyance, his facial features resting from the previous anger. "I'm a Miqo'te? Don't tell me you've never heard of them?" His ears pinned back as he thought, well he was meant to be on the First and this was clearly not there and he wasn't on Etheirys or at least anywhere he's been. "You're not an Elezen by chance are you?" It seemed this race question had distracted Uma from the body thing for the moment.

You open the Codex Astartes to look guidance within its aged, worn pages.
ABOUT MY INTERPRETATION.
there are a LOT of books I have not been able to read for Warhammer 40k as well as a ton of media, i am going to possibly come off as very canon-divergent and headcanon-based! the books, for me, can sometimes be hard to find, and... well. GW retcons many things. SO, i will often be making headcanons as i try to learn the lore in real time! i.e., with Marneus Calgar, i know the basics of his lore and enough about relationships with other Astartes, but his portrayal will be based heavily off of Marneus Calgar (the comics) and Space Marine II i.e., with the Emperor of Mankind, theres a lot that contradicts with his personality (considering he portrays himself to be however the person speaking to him wishes for him to be like), so i am basing the Emperor solely on the concept of having a 'compassionate shard'-- the compassion that was thrown away prior to the battle with Horus.
ACTIVITY.
ill be somewhat low-active on this blog. mutuals can hit me up on discord! i follow back from kcnhub!
TRIGGERS.
i will tag triggers as ‘[trigger] tw’, if i ever miss a trigger, please let me know! i won’t hesitate in changing it! this blog WILL HAVE DARK THEMES LIKE TORTURE, DEATH, MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES, AND SO ON, IF YOU ARENT A FAN OF THAT—be warned!! ill tag it as necessary at least!
SHIPS AND WHATNOT.
ill be as happy as ever to do ships with people! i am also open to smut, but it WILL be under a readmore and tagged as necessary or done on a COMPLETELY separate blog. mun is 18+. im open to crossovers, aus, and ocs! i will not write any smutty material with minors. ALSO, when it comes to shipping, i would very much prefer CHEMISTRY with characters!! so if our characters interact and we (as the muns) also click, then ill happily write ships!
THE NONO’S.
i will NOT do rps with Nazi characters, whether it be an oc, a character from the game, or not. i don’t support or endorse nazism (i will write my characters FIGHTING nazis, depending on the game). ALSO: if i hear you may have been problematic when it comes to friends, it’ll be a hard block. i’m sorry, it’s really just for my comfort and others’, please do not come into my inbox asking why.
OVERALL…
have fun! ill most likely be happy to do a thread with you—just note ill admittedly be pretty anxious, but if you’d like for us to get to know one another, feel free! my names ken, and hopefully we can do rp sometime!

Tagged by @authortobenamedlater: 20 questions for fanfic writers!
How many works do you have on AO3?
95. (It should be noted that I started out on FFNet, and still cross-post there, where I have 166 fics.)
What's your total AO3 word count?
682,370
What fandoms do you write for?
Primarily FMA and Captain America these days. I've also written a sizeable amount for Zelda and Sherlock, besides a smattering of other fandoms (usually just one or two fics apiece).
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Lol, these are all Captain America fics :P Nice to know where my primary readership comes from!
Make Me Whole - 269 kudos
Shards of Me - 107 kudos
Your Arms Feel Like Home - 78 kudos
Let This One Remain - 58 kudos
Remind Me Who I Am - 55 kudos
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I make it a point to respond to every comment unless it consists of just one word or a string of emojis or something. Or if someone makes a whole bunch of short comments all in a row, I might only respond to the most recent one. I know how rare it is for someone to actually comment, and how hard it is to think of anything substantial to say even if you truly loved a fic, so I want to show some gratitude for those who take the time to do so. Also, it's the best way to make friends!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I'm going to go with "In the Morning," an FMA fic in which Ed dies at the end, cradled in Al's arms ^^' (Currently only posted on FFNet.)
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmm...maybe "Expecting the Unexpected"? It's a Captain America fic that ends with Steve, Sharon, and Bucky all sitting on the kitchen floor, laughing and crying together, so that's pretty happy.
Do you get hate on fics?
Hardly ever, except for the very rare troll. Most of the responses I've gotten have been very nice indeed.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Lol, no. I don't read it, so I certainly have no idea how to write it.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Not very often, but occasionally yes! I actually have a very ambitious seven-fic one that I'd like to do someday when I have time (ha!), but that's a long way off. I don't know about craziest, but the main one I've written was an FMA/Captain America one called "All We've Got to the End of the Line," in which Steve and Bucky are alchemists trying to get their bodies back, and Ed is a superhero fighting Al and trying to get him to remember that they're brothers. Basically, just putting the characters in each other's stories/roles, because they're my top two bromances and they actually have quite a few similarities.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! There was this one random EdWin fic I wrote eons ago that someone translated into Spanish!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I think @sergeanttomycaptain has been involved enough with my Whole Shards fics that she counts as a co-writer at this point XD Particularly Make Me Whole and my current WIP, Take Me In.
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Royai is my OTP <3
What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I completed the first draft of a Death Note chapterfic that I know I'm never going to finish and post because of some drama between me and the friend I was working on it with. Kinda sucks, because that was a good story.
What are your writing strengths?
Whenever I'm asked this question, my gut reaction is always, "Lol, I have no writing strengths because if I ever write anything good, it's only by accident," but that's lame. I think maybe I'm good at endings? Scene endings, fic endings, endings that are punchy in one way or another. I know I can also make people cry, since it's happened plenty of times ^^'
What are your writing weaknesses?
Everything. Action. Differentiating dialogue styles between characters. Humor. Switching things up by not writing in complete, grammatically correct sentences all the time.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I'm very timid about doing that, because I'm paranoid about getting something egregiously wrong if I just use Google Translate or whatever. But I tried to put a little bit more of that into my WIP, and indulged myself by writing some dialogue in other languages that I can speak.
First fandom you wrote for?
Final Fantasy X was the reason I started writing fanfiction before I even knew what that was. I wanted to capture the incredible story of the game I was playing and share it with friends who didn't have the opportunity to play it, so I started writing a novelization of the game. It's pretty bad by my current standards, but it taught me a lot about how stories are put together and how to stick to a novel-length project like that and actually get it done. I also learned a lot of my fanfic preferences through writing that - for example, I posted it as I wrote it, and realized that I hate doing that because I find it really stressful, and then it's annoying to realize you want to edit earlier parts and have to go back and revise them. That's why I always finish writing my fics before I post them now.
Favorite fic you've ever written?
Make Me Whole is my baby. It still is, five years after I finished posting it. It's the beginning of my favorite AU. I have so many wonderful memories associated with coming up with the idea, writing it, sharing it with others.... I've made wonderful friends through that fic. It was the first story idea I've ever had where I got a very clear sense that God wanted me to write it, and I didn't just want to write it because nobody else would, but because I wanted to write it. Even if a dozen other people came up with the exact same idea, I wanted to write it because no one else would write it quite like I would. I can't even describe how important that has been for me. I've also seen God use it in other people's lives, which is indescribably awesome.
Tagging @rainintheevening, @kraytwriter, @katarena, and any other fic writers who want to do this.

Btw I am currently writing a crossover fic if there’s interest here.
Astrotrain’s ALW Adventure
If he felt foolish questioning an earth vehicle he felt that shame tenfold as a barrage of bricks collided with the side of his helmet.
“You back the scrap off!” came a holler and a second barrage of bricks took Astrotrain by the shoulder. His blaster clattering to the ground as he stumbled back, accidentally letting go of the little steam engine. The next attack was a hail of small loose stones.
Gravel, the triple changer thought, ineffective but more than a little annoying, he didn't exactly want it getting in any of his joints, and he didn't want to accidentally cart loose gravel back to Cybertron.
“Pass us another-” following the voice Astrotrain fixed the force of his glare onto the freight yard. The surrounding fence was, to Astrotrain at least low and inconsequential, formed of rudimentary looped wire and chainlink. But beyond that the few flickering lights reached very little so beyond the looming shapes of storage buildings and freight wagons. An enemy could be hiding anywhere within.
He tried to online his combat heat sensors but his systems were rusty with disuse and the damnable shard sensor was eating up his power cells and his patience as it drowned out the other readings. They were all around him. The sensor said. That they were surrounding him, the proximity filling his audio processors with white noise. It had faded, but now intensified again as he stumbled towards the reversing engine.
“Dustin, pass us another!”
“-yeah Dustin, keep ‘em coming.”
Astrotrain even had to throw a hand over his faceplate to stop himself from being battered by all the flying projectiles that were most certainly now coming from multiple directions, with the other he tore up his blaster. It sparked a little as he did so, but it didn't bear thinking about.

Astrotrain, the cosmic engine!
Two interests collide, Transformers vs Starlight, who would have guessed the train character was my favourite.

Makes me sad that all the deaths and the large time frame that the Cosmere takes place on prevents a proper crossover.
If Dalinar had known Tindwyl all of Oathbringer would be 2 chapters bc the coalition of monarchs would have no choice but to listen to her
Imagine Mistborn and Windrunners flying around, showing the other the intricacies of how their flight works
Adolin, Elend, and Raoden would be the triumvirate of Good Boys while their slightly insane wives could get together and have tea or smthn
Lightsong and Wayne will never get to compete for title of Most Insufferable
Imagine Hrathen learning of the shards and varying religions of the Cosmere and having another crisis of faith
Imagine introducing Scadrians and Rosharans to Nalthis, a place that has Good Plants and Nature
Steris and Renarin bond over being autistic in a world that is hard to navigate even when you’re neurotypical
Combining fabrials and allomancy to give Mistborn a new type of flight
Syl being drawn to Vin for how similar she is to Kal (read: grumbly with a severe case of rbf)
Vin showing off her koloss sword to shardbearers
Rosharans seeing aviar and losing their minds over the variety of chickens
Rosharans seeing any animal that isn’t a crab or slug and losing their minds
