Skeletons are an INCREDIBLY rare species, yet they are know to be a type of monster. Ergo, there must have been more at a point in time. The War is the likely candidate for such losses, as Humans would be... antsy about fighting monsters that reflect their own losses.

Gerson was a known combatant in the war, and was known by MANY. Therefore, he mightve known some Skeletons, ESPECIALLY a Dingbats Font. If anyone (bar Sans) could understand Wingings, it'd be him.

Maybe! The way I interpret dingbats fonts is that the sound is just not compatible with most people's hearing capacity Like...in the way we can't hear some sounds that certain animals can (but in this case, monsters do hear it! but only a distorted version)

So, I don't think it's something you can necessarily learn???? you would have to change the way you perceive sound D: But like, Gerson is OLD and he knows a LOT of stuff, so if he somehow was able to understand I wouldn't be surprised lmao
