“You could say that.”

Takuya gave the Lopmon a smile and a thumbs up. Normally he explores new Digital Worlds as Flamemon in a (usually vain) attempt to blend in. However, he didn’t feel like Spirit Evolving this time. He wanted to see if the Digimon here were at least familiar with humans. If they were, then that means that there might be an active group of Digidestined that he could hopefully find and talk to about what’s going on. So far everything seems peaceful but he’s only been here for a few hours at most.

“My name is Takuya.”

“Does Daisuke always get you guys into trouble?”

A small frown was on the gogglehead’s face as he rubbed the back of his head. It seemed like anytime he was left alone with Daisuke someone ended up falling down something. He didn’t know if it was because he had bad luck or if it  was Daisuke who naturally seemed to draw trouble towards him.

“Because I always seem to get into trouble when I’m with him.”

“That’s what I thought.”

A quiet sigh came from the Legendary Warrior’s lips. After his first Digivolution, he felt like all the things he worried about before was no longer an issue. Though the older he got, the more that he started to realize that isn’t necessarily true.

“It’s weird having to think about how things impact me as a human and as a Digimon.”

“How did you get up there in the first place?”

Agunimon stared at Daisuke with a mix of confusion and concern on the Warrior of Flame’s face. He knew that it wouldn’t be too difficult to climb up there himself but then came the problem of getting Daisuke down safely. Glancing around Agunimon didn’t see anything around that could help him get the other gogglehead down safely. A quiet sigh came from the Digimon’s lips.

“Slide Evolution! BurningGreymon!”

He cried out, evolving into BurningGreymon. At least his Beast Spirit had wings that he proceeded to flex before jumping into the air and fly towards the tree that Daisuke was stuck in. 

“The less moving around you do the easier this is.”

“You know it’s kind of weird being part of the only group of Digidestined who don’t have a physical partner by their side.”

Traveling between dimensions was a weird feeling. Even after doing it more than a couple of times Takuya found himself disoriented by the journey. He was on a set path to a new world that Lady Ophanimon sent him. She told him that the barrier between the Real World and Digital World was thinner than what he was familiar with. With the barrier between the two worlds so thin the possibility of crossing worlds was possible. He was a bit unsure of going into this world without some form of protection. He knew once he touched down in the real world, Spirit Evolution would be near impossible to achieve. Though if he lands as a Digimon things shouldn’t be fine... in theory. He’s got experience navigating Japan as a Digimon and not getting caught.

“Execute! Spirit Evolution! Flamemon!.”

At least as Flamemon he has a chance to fight if he runs into a not-so-friendly Digimon. Seeing the end of his journey in sight, Flamemon braced himself to breach the barrier. Once he was through he looked around to see where he landed. It seemed to be a shipping district of sort. Glancing around he noticed that there wasn’t a single human or Digimon in sight. That’s good. Summoning his D-Tector he checked to make sure everything was working fine. There were no problems there. The only thing he had left to check was to see if he could return to his human form. A few minutes of trying later, his expectations were confirmed. He was stuck as Flamemon unless he returned to his world or traveled to the Digital World. 

Maybe he wouldn’t stay in this world for long periods of time then.

Takuya wasn’t going to lie, he missed having the weight of his D-Tector in hand. Though he wasn’t going to lie, it was a very strange feeling after how everything ended. Not to mention everything that Lady Ophanimon told him about the true power of the D-Tector now that their Digital World is stabilized.

“So not all Digivices look like ours. I wonder what they look like.”

He mumbled to himself as he fumbled with the buttons on his D-Tector without paying too much attention to his surroundings. If anyone asked, he could pass the device off as something he got overseas.

“I hope Fractal Code isn’t going to be a problem.”
