i unironically love how p5 fans who ship joker with anyone will look at a scene in the anime where hes with the person of interest or something and be like "omg the way theyre looking at each otherrrr the love in their eyes the longing its so beautiful" and its like the ugliest youve ever seen these characters depicted visually

Watched the valentines ova pegoryu gif on my pride month shitpost one too many times and my third eye opened to what simply must be happening in it

The way one silhouette is motionless while the other wraps his arm around the first gave me a headcanon about the scene

Consider: ryuji is trying to explain why he came tonight anyways. It’s not like that or anything, gross, that’s gay and weird! He was just bummed about not having a girlfriend and wanted to hang out with his friend duh. He’s not sure why he went to ren’s place alone though, or why he asked to stay the night… huh…

Ren, proud bisexual with no sense of shame, soon puts his arm around him and kisses him like we see in the scene. He can see what ryuji can’t (or refuses to). Ryuji doesn’t stop him, but instead kisses him back as we can see in Figure 1. I rest my case

The Persona 5 anime was all over the place but it did have its art moments. I was cleaning up some old files and found this shot of Joker I really like and not far away from it, this Makoto which of course I had to upload to keep them together. In comments over on my bsky, Ric99 pointed out to me that both Joker and Queen get to be on a jewelcase cover (as there are fewer discs than in the original release where everyone got one). I checked it out over on CrunchyRoll and discovered not only do they get covers, but those covers are featured front and center in advertising the box!

My biggest takeaway from the Persona 5 anime is that Morgana is actually an excellent character when they don't staple all the game's worst mechanics to him
