Phum (NARAVIT LERTRATKOSUM aka POND) with the permission of Auntie Pui walks into Pheem's (PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN) room as he sleeps at his desk having spent all night painting.

Phum looks lovingly at the young man that has changed his life.

Not wanting to disturb him, Phum just watches until Pheem flickers his eyes and awakens...

However another situation with his father Phum is almost the reason (once again) Pheem almost missed his chance to submit his artwork for the gallery.

I'm so fuckin dumb, I got so immersed on the technical flaws of the composition of Pheem's painting that I didn't clock that THAT IS THE INTENTION.

Is supposed to throw you off because Phum threw off Pheem since the beginning, because he's the flowers to Pheem's wave, taking now the highlight in the paint with his beautiful and full of love red.

IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT THEM, ABOUT THEIR LOVE, THAT'S WHY IS SO JARRING IN COMPOSITION:

IT WAS NEVER PHEEM'S IDEA TO FALL IN LOVE BUT NOW IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE PAINTING AND OF HIMSELF.

Any other show I would have been screaming because we’d have spent a needless couple of episodes with Pheem pointlessly toing and froing between Kluen and Phum. Instead we got this lovely scene where Kluen admits to still harbouring feelings for Pheem and Pheem just gently, and never meanly, lets him down and makes sure he knows that his happiness is worth more than hanging onto someone who doesn’t love him back.

We Are EP 3 Unhinged Tangent Thoughts

Back by popular demand??? i guess this is my thing now. sorry for the lack of screenshots but i watched this thang live and i'm not going to give IQYI 49 baht for just this one show. i'm cheap like that baby!

This aunt-newphew relationship is so delightful. pheem called her "Aha" this word is a gender neutral term for your father's younger sibling so the aunt is either that or a relative from pheem's father side of the family. also girl don't misgendered yourself.

So toey used his name as a first person pronoun, idk how to feel about this cause if this is real life he definitely gonna get make fun of for doing that. but it's BL and satang is a cutie patootie so, meh.

Tan is down so bad it's embarrassing. i need more scenes with these two asap. i love myself a good simp and aou is great playing one and he's definitely the strongest comedic actor in this cast.

150 baht for one cup of green tea!?! that shit better taste like nectar of the gods, i knew shits in bangkok are pricey but damn. anyway where in the story am i again oh right, phum and pheem oh boy these two, yeah i'm kinda not vibing with these two's plotline at all.

Insert rosa diaz meme here for pun. i can't with this boy 🤣wtf is this nonsense at the noodles shop, this boy is so dumb and pure (also kinda read like he's on the spectrum.) forcing a boy to blow the food you ate in YOUR MOUTH is legit the most unhinged BL shenanigan i ever witnessed. 10/10 no notes.

Winny put the guitar... put that down!, nyoooooo! welp atleast it ended quickly.

Ok, soooo yeah. this show definitely is mostly fluff with barely any substance. i'm glad that we get the apology from phun this fast so maybe thier dynamic might be a little bit more enjoyable in the future. i think this show at its best is when it focus on the friends group unfortunately there not a lot of that in this ep. as a person who really love slice of life manga/anime, i feels like this show could have been great as that, a slice of life show about dumb college boys with BL element. i hate saying this but some of the bl tropes definitely weighted the show down. i'm still vibing with the show and still very much want to stick around for aou and poon. hopefuly with the apology phum and pheem story will pick up the pace soon and we'll get to move on to other pairs.

Random thoughts about We Are episode 3:

If someone had told me I would like this series, I wouldn't have believe them. I'm surprised by myself, because I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. It seems like I'm still into "slice-of-life/uni" series.

▪️ Phum still enjoyed "torturing" Pheem by making him carry his shopping bags, washing his clothes or cooking for him. Pheem despite being reluctant always did all these tasks, but the childish prank Phum pulled on him was too much for him. Phum made him wait for him and Pheem did wait until the mall closed and was even worried about him. I guess Pheem is the type of person who care about everyone and even if he knew Phum likes to tease him, he never thought the prank could go this far. He is annoyed and very angry at him, but the power of a proper apology may work well on him. Indeed, Phum listen to his friends' advice and apologized. He was brooding a lot over the incident.

I believe he has so much more fun around Pheem that he thought he would. Now I'm wondering, did he fall for him before and used the "kick incident" to get closer to Pheem or is he enjoying so much the time he is spending with him that he will fall for him?

▪️ Q and Toey were very cute in this episode. We got more information about how Toey decided to join the Art field thanks to his crush to Q. I really liked the conversation he had with the owner of the cafe. Here and there, the series is giving some life advice and I really like when they are doing this. It's not groundbreaking advices, but I always feel better when seeing it and I believe they may have a good impact on other people who also watch it.

Q and Toey had a funny clay fight and I believe that's the moment Q started to feel something more.

He was very protective to Toey when a senior was flirting with him. Q is also willing to do anything Toey may ask even if he is reluctant at first: singing for him, sharping his pencils or giving him a snack.

We know Toey is already smitten but the slow burn Q is feeling is so nice to watch. I admit I liked the little "jealousy" part of the series. Funny how I hate people who jealous in real life, but I don't mind watching it in series.

▪️ Tan and Fang didn't get a lot of screentime in this episode. Tan bought a cake for Fang, but he didn't want to give it to him so he used Phum as a proxy. I don't think Fang is fooled by Tan's terrible skills at flirting. He knows! He must know! I want to see how he will react, now.

▪️ Pun and Chain had a longer appearance in this episode. They may not be in love (yet) but Chain is taking so much care to Pun. He is doing a lot for him and everyone can see it. They were invited by Tan to enjoy a meal outside and even Tan felt he was third wheeling. Poor Tan. I felt bad for him. Next episode should bring more for the two of them and I can't wait to see Pun and Chain's romance blooming. Pun is clearly my favorite. His little puppy look are just so cute.

▪️ I also want to say that I appreciate how friendships is also shown in the series. We saw how Phum asked for help from his friends, but also how Q care for Pheem even if he hides it under some pretense. Friendship is just another way to love someone. It may not be romantic, but it is a very strong link too.

I'm slowly falling for We Are the series. I hope I will stay interested until the end of the 16th episode!

Phum and Pheem have taken their relationship to the next level a couple times in this the Penultimate Episode.

Phum (NARAVIT LERTRATKOSUM aka POND) begins his quest to win Pheem's (PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN) heart which he did in like Episode 4 but okay.

I have to go on record that this ridiculous. Pheem is the first one to kiss Phum during the fireworks.

Last week Phum mounted Pheem with no objections and Pheem wants Phum to win his heart. By now they shouldn't be spooning they should be forking.

But okay...

PONDWINNY: ORIGINAL SHIP INTERUPTED

Clips from WE ARE. Phum looking for Pheem ask Q (Pheem's Bestie) for his location.

Did You Know POND AND WINNY were suppose to be an original ship for GMMTV.

Yep, word is POND was set for his first lead role as SUTTHAYA aka MORK in FISH UPON THE SKY

His love interest was set to be WINNY who had won the 2nd lead role as dental student PATTAWEE aka PI

PHUWIN was also set to be in FUTS as POND's brother Meen. This was set to reunite PHUWIN with NEO as they played besties GORD and MORN in CAUSE YOU'RE MY BOY lead by DRAKE and FRANK

However FUTS Director SAKON WONGSINWISET (GOLF) wasn't keen on the chemistry of POND and WINNY. Though POND and WINNY were very close in age (3 months apart, WINNY is older) while PHUWIN was 3 years younger.

So PHUWIN took over the role of Pi creating new ship PONDPHUWIN.

LOUIS was cast as Meen and WINNY took on support role of Koh (from the Kitty Gang)

Later WINNY got shipped with oft co-star SATANG.

WINNY and SATANG were in FUTS, STAR IN MY MIND and MY SCHOOL PRESIDENT (their first coupling) before joining PONDPHUWIN in 2024 hit WE ARE: THE SERIES.

Episode 11

So, in Episode 10 Phum (NARAVIT LERTRATKOSUM aka POND) kisses Pheem (PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN) multiple times lowering to Pheem to Pheem's bed like he was ready for the next step and Pheem wasn't resisting.

Then Episode 11 Phum is presumably being showed the door before something did happen. But both are standing on their respective side of Pheem's bedroom door in full gush mode.

Grinning from ear to ear.

Love is indeed in the air for these enemies turn slave turn friend turn whatever they are now.

Random thoughts about We Are episode 2:

Let's go back to Uni to follow the story of multiple characters and couples.

Pheem has agreed to be the "slave" of Phum until he can draw again his painting. So far, Phum has not been so bad to him. He made him carry his shopping bags and buy him drinks and food. I've seen worst. Sometimes, I feel like Phum either knew about Pheem before and found a convenient way to have the painter around him or he felt in love a la "Domyouji" when Pheem kicked him. I don't know, he seems really happy to hang around Pheem so that's why I drew this conclusion. The flowers and the smile are easy to fool me. They may not be my favorite couple in the series, but they are interesting.

Tan got his "date" with Phum's brother, Fang. It was a bit cringe. I felt bad for him during the whole date. I mean, it's obvious, he is interested in Fang and I don't think he missed it too, but he is so bad at flirting with him. Can someone help him, please?! I believe Fang knows about Tan's crush. Maybe, he feels like it's going to pass and indulge him because he knows Tan is his younger brother's friend and nothing more (yet) for him. If he doesn't know, he needs to check his eyesight because Tan is literally devouring him with his eyes.

So, we got the confirmation about Toey joining the Art field because of Q. So it was kinda love at first sight, I guess. Toey is cute. I want him to be able to end up with his mentor because he seems to try his best to impress him. Q is also a softie when it comes to Toey. He is not in love with him but maybe he will notice it. I just hope Toey is better at flirting than Tan. I found their scene quite sweet when Q was taking care of a drunk Toey who was resting on Q's knees while waiting for a cab to go home. When he was fanning him with his hands, I found that it was really kind.

Unfortunately, we got nothing from the couple I'm the most excited about "Mom friend falls for disaster gay" aka Chain and Pun (I'm using the perfect description from heretherebedork). I can just say that I love Pun with all my heart. He is hilarious and I just want the best for him. Stay true to yourself, Pun!

He may not be the best cook, but he is passionate about cooking!

Apart from the romance, I found the small scene with the teacher to be really interesting. It tackles the idea of art and what we perceives to be a "good" art. I was really touched by what the teacher said to Pheem when he was doubting about the quality of his painting.

Anyway, I found this episode interesting and I wonder what the next one will bring.

Episode 7

Hold The Phone. His name is Kluen according to MDL played by KARATI PUANGMALEE aka TITLE.

Planning to meet Phum at Phum's request, Pheem (PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN) calls Phum from a kiosk while buying a drink.

He is assaulted by Kluen...okay it wasn't assault just a case of mistaken identity. But smart Pheem uses the mistake to get a free drink from a stranger. As an apology of course but hey free is free.

That being said Title hasn't played an altruistic since Love By Chance in a BL.

Quick Recap: Be My Favorite Title played Knot, Pisaeng's asshole friend that was always up to no good.

In Hidden Agenda, Title played a guest role as Puen a guy that strung Zo along and broke his heart.

In Only Friends, Title played Atom. He lied and manipulated after getting f*cked by one night stander Boston.

And he's slated for roles in GMMTV'S Kidnap (OHM is back in BL without former partner Nanon but instead with Leng) and Perfect10Liners a JITTIRAIN NOVEL ADAPTATION by GMMTV.

So, looks like Kluen has his sights on Pheem. But his appearance in Episode 7 was super brief but he looked at Pheem with them seduction eyes and the smiles were wide.

Watch out Phum. Title doesn't do wholesome. Or perhaps he's a changed man.
