🍍- (copy/pasted from previous ask) - I like writing crossover AU’s, but I don’t care too read them for some reason? I also like magic au’s (fantasy is my favorite genre of everything if it wasn’t obvious)

🥝 - this one is super generic, I’m sorry, but hurt/comfort. I just- I don’t know, something about it.

🍈 - While Dib is my favorite blorbo, I don’t have too many (in testing)headcannons for him, so I’ll put Zim instead. I’m also not going to do too many because I don’t want to make a super long list.

Zim is Narcissistic - I LOVE this one, and the idea was originally introduced to me by an Invader Zim LosT animatic (which is also what brought me to start writing fics and started my love for BMTH). While it is obvious throughout the show, I hadn’t really thought about it until then.

Zim gets depression post-Florpus - This is my top headcannon for sure. I always imagine zim truly realizing that the tallest never cared about his mission. This headcannon also goes hand in hand with this next headcannon,

Zim gets banished from the Irken Empire (post Florpus) - I always imagined the Tallest just getting fully fed up with Zim after the Florpus hole literally almost killed them, and just after all of the trouble Zim put them through. (not sure if it’s confirmed if the Florpus killed them or not, but for this headcannon they didn’t die.)

🍌 - I can’t think of anything funny off the top of my head, but I have made several lemon demon references (some just straight up mentions), and I plan on doing more aooaskejwo

Oh lord... Joel Miller. He is the trickiest one for me to wrap my head around. Like, there are moments in the show (just small a small head movement or little face shift) that make me love him so damn much.

But it's hard - I feel like the two versions of Joel I have written have a lot in common but are so different. But I want to write him more. the BEEF | #1: Joel Miller - I think is my favourite Joel out of the two. But the Jackson!Joel & Darlin' are just the bee's knees!

I want more Joel in the Bistro. BUT THERE ARE OTHER'S THAT JUST NEED TO LAND FIRST, YOU KNOW?

Well, for one, that list of often neglected by canon side characters I mentioned earlier. Constance. Nina. Riley Cooper. I've had a moment and thought of Lydia, not because I liked the storyline canon gave her (🤢) but because I think it'd be interesting to see her vulnerability as something to empathize with instead of laugh at.

I also just don't love that I've written more from Maura's perspective than Jane's. I'd like to balance the scales someday.

I honestly don't think I'm all that funny. There's not often times where I'm aiming for jokes. If you consider the very specific Jane teasing with the wordplay, pretending not to understand, is funny, I've done that a few times. I think maybe even well. I don't know a particularly funniest one, though.

He's so incredibly hard for me, which is sadly why I haven't written much Minkowski; because they really belong with each other in the most platonic sense ever.

🍌 In your opinion, what’s the funniest joke/reference/pun you’ve made in a fic? I don't make jokes very often, but I would have to say that the titular Undertale reference I made in "Hot Chocolate (Made Without Spiders)" made me smile a lot :)

I could say The Cave Scene, but I think that as much as we all think about it, that's not my particular Thing. I guess it might be the Wolf 359 Special Episode "Change of Mind"? I know it's kind of cheating because it's really long so there's a lot of material, but that one just takes over my brain occasionally. There are so many different angles to go at it from; just so many characters and perspectives and ideas that crop up when I think about it.

Tim Drake! I think Tim's relations with the rest of the Batfam are so interesting, I just have no actual story to put him in. Someday I'll come up with a long plotty Batfam genfic and then you'll see, you'll all see!

Unfortunately the one that immediately came to mind is from a WIP and it's so good I don't want to spoil it. But I will also say that almost every line I gave Bart in Say It Just One Time makes me laugh, especially this scene:

Jon moved, but Bart got there first, wrapping his arms around Kara and letting her cry. “Hey, it’s okay, we can still get married. We don’t need the rings. Or we’ll get placeholders. We’ll get Ring Pops! Or we can steal some money from Tim, he’s loaded.” “I would just give you the money, you know,” Tim said, but he didn’t look too annoyed, probably because the joke had drawn a wet laugh out of Kara. “There’s no need to try to make Drake feel useful,” Damian drawled, stepping forward and holding out a little velvet box. “The clone’s clone might be strong, but he’s too stupid to notice when his pockets are being picked.” Kara stared at him. “You...you got them back?” Damian shrugged. “It was a simple matt—oof!” He staggered back a little as Kara grabbed him in a hug. “Thank you,” she said, her voice still a little shaky. “Thank you.” Damian very clearly had no idea what to do with either the hug or the gratitude, but Kara let him go before Jon started feeling guilty enough to rescue him. He did take a quick step back when Bart approached, as if to avoid another hug, and Jon had to bite his lip not to laugh. “Thank you so much, Damian,” Bart said. “You were killed by your evil clone once too, right? We should form a club!” “We absolutely should not,” Damian said.

Lian's death, hands down. You'll note that the only fics I've ever acknowledged it in are post-Infinite Frontier ones where she's already back.

I wouldn't say it's underrated per se, but my old kidfic We Didn't Start the Fire is one of my personal favorites. It's a 3 chapter story of the kids going on one of their first missions. The goal is to save children from a burning hospital (yeah i know i know can it be any more cliche? hey, tropes are popular for a reason!) and while Luther and Five are the key players, I try to give each of the kids a little air time.

🍓What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated?

"All Alone For The Holidays"; it's a cosy winter fic about Tegan and Nyssa meeting on a train heading to Scotland for the holiday season. I really enjoyed writing it and it got some lovely comments but I feel like it didn't make much of an impact compared to previous fics I've written.

Benton. Sergeant Benton, 100%. He's such a fun charactewr to write but I haven't included him in as many fics as I'd like to (he's so competent and easy-going so it's a bit difficult to have a tense scene with him present). Hopefully, I'll be able to write him into more fics in future.

In that order actually. I love writing fluff, I find smut to be an engaging challenge to write, don't like angst but can write it in a pinch, and cannot write crack fics.

In "Am I Ready?", I had the line 'are you familiar with bonk?'. Not only is it funny (and apparently got some spit-takes from readers) but it's also a Discworld reference (which I love throwing into my fics)!

🍈 Who’s your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions.

Benton again! He's just so sweet and kind; everyone he meets loves him (even the Master respects his resourcefulness). He's genuinely the loveliest UNIT man and definitely the one you would feel safe leaving your drink with in a club.

My personal headcanon is that he's acearo and is just baffled by any romantic drama that happens at UNIT (it's mentioned in one of the novels that Benton is a confirmed bachelor, so I'd say him being acearo is pretty canon-adjacent).

Personally, I like having Benton in a fic as a himbo friend to Tegan; I feel like Tegan would appreciate his sweetness and I wish Benton had been in 'Mawdryn Undead' so he could have gotten to have a dynamic with Tegan and Nyssa.

probably the running bit through the beginning of chapter 6 of seventeen going under where Jason's narration refers to Bruce as things like:

The man rumored to be dating Taylor Swift

Gotham's Person of the Year (five years running)

Forbes' Sexiest Man (two years ago)

Angst - I LOVEEEEEE WRITING ANGST. I love deep frying these innocent little characters in unnecessary trauma, especially the sunshine characters. I think a lot of it is me often projecting my own issues and trauma onto my writing (mostly making it 1000x worse, but that’s besides the point), often because it’s healing to me to read/write about characters going through the same problems as me. I also like being able to write about these characters healing, and I think it heals me a little too to be able to write a character slowly coming out of that depressive and traumatic state, or watching their partner comfort them, or even just seeing them be with their friends for the first time after the events. (Obviously before dumping more traumatic events on them)

Crack - not much of an explanation for this one, I just like writing characters do dumb shit.

Fluff - I’m putting this at 3 not because I don’t like writing fluff, I just find it hard to. It’s so refreshing to be able to write just happy little characters do happy little things, but to me, it gets kind of boring and I really struggle to stay on the more joyful side of things.

Smut - won’t read it, won’t write it. I could care less if someone else likes to read/write it, but to me, it’s just… gross? I don’t know, it makes me uncomfortable, so I’ll probably never read/write it.

It's one of my favorites and it stars my boy Declan on Halloween! :D

Looking at my AO3 stats, all my stories with John or James are underrated, though, I didn't realize 'Ages' had as many hits as it does.

John Druitt.

He's a very compelling and interesting character and I haven't written him as much as I would like. I always feel like I'm gong to mess him up, because it's a very delicate balance. He's not a good person by any means, but he's also not 100% a monster either.

He's one of my favorite characters, but I don't feel as confident writing him as I do others.

OH HELL, I thought that said read when I answered before. But I stand by it, because I have a deep loathing for most crack and would probably be likely to try my hand at smut first.

Look. Look, my name is accurate. I am sarcastic by nature. But I don't plan these things out, so anything that is a joke/pun is just something I write and then people find it funny and I do too when I reread it.

So....the only reference I can think of that is 1000% on purpose is Scully mentioning 'a Dr. Jackson that disappeared last year' in The Abnormal X-File and that's not even funny. I was just tossing an SG-1 easter egg into my Sanctuary story.
