#PLEASE tag your posts properly

Every day in this COD fandom, I fight the urge to comment on people's posts, asking them to please tag an x reader fic as fem!reader instead of just x reader. Because it's clearly fem!reader (they use feminine terms to reference/address Reader) and tags exist for a reason.

And every day I have to fight the urge because it seems rude, so I have to read every x reader fic and know that it's so, so likely that it's an untagged female reader fic.

Please remember to tag your posts properly! Please use #dbdshow for Dead Boy Detectives content.

Tagging it as #dbd makes it extremely difficult for an existing fandom that has been using the tag for ages to find their content. It also will make Dead Boy Detective fans have a hard time finding theirs, when people start using #dbd again for the fandom it originally has been (and still is) being used by.

I know it's frustrating for everyone and will take a bit of adjustment, but please use #dbdshow!

That way Dead by Daylight fans can find their content (Dead Boy Detectives content had completely flooded the feed. It was IMPOSSIBLE to find anything related to the game we all followed the tag for.), and so that anyone following the tag for a reason OTHER than Dead Boy Detectives doesn't have everything spoiled. I genuinely did want to watch the show at first until this started. I really don't anymore, partially because the oversaturation of content that appeared out of nowhere, but ALSO BECAUSE OF SPOILERS. That I had no say in seeing, because of improper tagging.

Also, so that it stops leading to confusion. I have seen some posts ONLY tagged with DBD, and got halfway through it beyond confused because it wasn't Dead by Daylight.

I hope your fandom thrives, and I'm really happy you're enjoying your show! Really!

But please tag properly. It makes it very difficult to find the Dead by Daylight content that MANY of us followed #dbd for. Plus, this way it'll be a lot easier to avoid discourse between fandoms. Please, no tag war. It's not what anyone wants, I'd imagine.

PLEASE use #dbdshow for Dead Boy Detectives content. Pass this around so everyone can see.

How to make:

Chocolate fudge ohfu brownies

Recipe makes 12 brownies, with a 20 minute prep time and a 40 minute cook time

Ingredients:

3/4 cup unsalted butter, plus a little extra for greasing

1/2 tsp bone powder (locally sourced is preferable!)

2 chocolate and caramel snack bars, roughly chopped

6 1/4 oz dark chocolate, roughly grated

1/2 tsp Killer's determination tears (Handle with caution!)

3 large eggs

1 3/4 cups sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup hazelnuts

1/4 cup finely shredded and grated blue threads

1 cup all purpose flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

3 cups corruption goop for the frosting (room temperature is best)

STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F/160°C. Grease an 11 x 8 inch/28 x 20 cm baking dish, then line with parchment paper

STEP 2: Put butter, snack bars, determination tears, and chocolate in a heat-resistant bowl and set over a pan of barely simmering water, making sure the water is not in contact with the bowl. Stir occasionally until you have a smooth sauce, then remove from heat

STEP 3: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy. Fold the cooled chocolate mixture and the vanilla into the eggs. Sift in the flour, bone powder, blue threads baking powder, and cocoa, then add half of the hazelnuts and fold everything together

STEP 4: Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle in the remaining hazelnuts. Bake for 35-40 minutes until a skewer comes out almost clean—you still want it slightly gooey for best results. Leave to cool completely

STEP 5: Drizzle goop over the entire brownie and slice into 12 pieces to serve. These will keep for 9-14 days in an airtight container and refrigerated*

STEP 6: Enjoy!

*For best results, harvest the goop, bone dust, threads, and determination tears directly from the source. Only one of these sources will cooperate willingly—you will have to harvest from the others as discreetly as possible

*If not consumed before this time, the brownies will develop a bitter and unpleasant taste and may inflict permanent psychological and physical damage to anyone who consumes them

Fun fact: The first person to make these brownies called them "ohfu" (pronounced oh-fuh) brownies, as "ohfu" was the last thing to leave their mouth

some people really need to learn how to properly tag their posts. especially people within celebrity fandoms.

does your post about a celebrity or a photo of the celebrity involve the character they played at all within the post? no? then do not tag that character. if it just random photos of the actor or actress themselves with no images of their character role anywhere in the images or not at all referenced within the post itself.. DO NOT TAG THE CHARACTER.

People are searching up the CHARACTER'S NAME because they want to SEE THE CHARACTER. if they want to JUST see the actor or actress who PLAYED the character.. They could just type in the actor or actresses name??

please tag your posts properly. please stop tag spamming because you want your posts to get seen by more people, you are clogging up tags with unrelated posts.

This is a rant, just fair warning to that.

I was scrolling through the "simon ghost riley" tag and like one post was labeled f!reader but it didn't get filtered via the filtered post-content thing because there was a space between f! and reader. Like I just...

How hard is it to tag your posts "simon ghost riley x female reader"? Or "simon ghost riley x f!reader" or whatever tag for the female reader stuff. But no, most of the time the posts are just tagged "simon ghost riley x you" and/or "simon ghost riley x reader" and most of the posts that get filtered are filtered via words that are in the post. And even then I still get female reader stuff because you don't even specify which reader it is until I read "my girl", "my woman", "she", or, and this is the most common thing, it's afab genitalia.

Please tag your posts correctly. Or at least label them in post. Because reader isn't just female!reader.

i block tags for a reason. because i want to avoid topics that are severely triggering to me. i wish you all my love and support but please god please tag your posts properly, you must understand that when you censor tags it defeats the purpose of the block feature and shows potentially triggering content to users who wouldn't otherwise see it.

no numbers. no special characters. spell your tags out properly. for everyone else’s mental and physical safety. please just do it.

definitely too old for apartment sharing nonsense. this guys place i am staying at advertised his flat in a way you'd assume he had experience hosting people, but turns out any time his friends or family come over there can't be any evidence a woman is staying in one of his rooms.

I already agreed to stay outside for the day but now he suddenly needs to get all my clothes into one of his overcrowed closets? (i had like three things on hangers in the room since the closets smell like damp) + he also wanted to take my clothes from the drying rack outside (i checked with him beforehand that i could do laundry) to also put them - still damp - in a closet.

my dude. do not offer to have people stay over if that is how you are living. and has the gall to self-advertise that he wants people to feel at home while they are at his place.

(this is only temporarily because i needed a place for 10 days and the owner of the place i actually live at arranged everything, so i feel even less bad about imposing a bit since he is getting paid quite a bit for this)

also, i feel like there is no need for this. if it's dark outside, no one will check the balcony. he could always say he just allowed a friend to use the washing mashine and his room as storage while traveling etc etc.

on a general level i feel for him, like growing up in such a patriarchial society that you have to do this elaborate play to somehow connect your families sensitiveties with your own open-mindedness...but my guy...this seems stressful for everyone involved.
