It has the Jordan Poyer seal of approval.

Talking with him Pat McAfee Show, Poyer explained what that transition looks like for the head coach now pulling double duty. According to Poyer, he is completely independent.
“He says when he’s in the defensive room he’s not a head coach, he’s the defensive coordinator, that’s how we see it. It’s great to have the perspective of him in the room a lot more,” Poyer said.
For more from Poyer on McDermott, check out the attached clip from the Pat McAfee Show below:

Peter Schrager Is Hearing 1 Rumor About The Colts
Peter Schrager Is Hearing 1 Rumor About The Colts https://ift.tt/FVGzoOP (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images) The Indianapolis Colts are a wild card in the NFL Draft. No one seems to know what they are intending to do. One certain thing is that the Colts need a franchise quarterback. Selecting fourth overall might be the best time for them to draft one. It appears as if Bryce Young will go first to the Carolina Panthers overall, but that is the only sure thing about the first round. One player the Colts seem to be heavily considering is Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. According to Peter Schrager, the Colts are “fans” of Levis. "I have heard from a lot of people around the league that the Colts are fans of Will Levis"@PSchrags #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/dW13bSnP0r — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 25, 2023 Earlier in the draft process it seemed like Levis would be a borderline top-10 pick. Now he might be the Colts’ pick at No. 4 overall. There is no way of knowing how this is going to play out until draft night. That is what makes the NFL Draft so great. Levis does not have the college production of a Young or C.J. Stroud. But, he has all the intangibles to be a great NFL quarterback. Teams love to take the player with a huge ceiling, hoping they can coach him up to reach their potential. Levis is known for incredible arm strength, but his decision-making was sometimes a problem. The first round of the draft is going to be very entertaining. After the first pick, there are nothing but question marks about who goes next. We know the Colts are interested in selecting a quarterback, but which one they end up with will be interesting. NFL Insider Gives Latest Update On Ryan Tannehill Rumors
NFL Insider Gives Latest Update On Ryan Tannehill Rumors https://ift.tt/QsYLK2Z (Photo by Ian Johnson/Icon Sportswire) The NFL Draft is set to begin on Thursday, and there will be plenty of rumors swirling throughout the week. Each year we usually see a player traded on draft day for a package of picks. Last year it was the Titans trading wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. Now it seems like another Titan might be on the move during draft day. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has surfaced as a possible draft option. Tennessee has the 11th overall pick, and they might be looking for their quarterback of the future. But according to Ian Rapoport, he does not see a Tannehill trade happening. "I would be surprised if the Tennessee Titans moved on from Ryan Tannehill right now"@RapSheet #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/ufeweJ08kg — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 24, 2023 Tannehill is entering his age 35 season, and his play is starting to deplete. Last season he was only able to play in 12 games and threw 13 touchdowns with six interceptions over that span. It would be smart for the Titans to try and trade Tannehill for whatever they can get. Removing his contract from their books would be a massive win, and they could start looking toward the future. Some of the quarterbacks the Titans could draft are Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson. Both have a chance to fall to 11th overall, even though trading up seems like the safer bet. If the Titans are set on one of these quarterbacks, expect to see them be active on draft night. NFL Insider Believes 2 Top RB Prospects May Go In First Round
NFL Insider Believes 2 Top RB Prospects May Go In First Round https://ift.tt/vYgqlB1 (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images) The NFL Draft is less than one week away. The first round is set to begin on April 27, and it is one of the most highly anticipated events of the offseason. One position that is full of talented players is running back. But, many teams are wary of addressing a first-round pick on a position of little importance. Still, this draft class has two prospects that teams will have a hard time passing on. Those two prospects are Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs from Alabama. According to Ian Rapoport, he thinks both of those stars will be selected in the first round. "I think we're gonna see Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs go in the first round"@RapSheet #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/yFxG7xl8Pv — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 21, 2023 It seems like Robinson has been the clear-cut number-one running back in the class. Also, he is a lock to be selected at some point in the first round. But, the hype about Gibbs has picked up recently. Earlier in draft season he was deemed to be a day-two selection. But, some teams in the backend of the first are interested in him. Selecting a player in the first round gives every team a fifth-year option on that player’s rookie contract. That is why many teams try to trade up at the end of the first round for a quarterback. Getting that fifth-year option is important for a running back as well. Around year five is when some start to wear down, and teams want to squeeze every drop out of their top picks. Keep an eye on where these two star running backs go, as they should play a major impact in the NFL over the next five years. Fans React To Von Millers Admission On Bills Signing Big-Time Weapon
Fans React To Von Miller’s Admission On Bills Signing ‘Big-Time Weapon’ https://ift.tt/sU8tTJr (Photo by Jason Hanna/Getty Images) The Buffalo Bills have been mostly quiet throughout the offseason. The team is stacked at nearly every position, except maybe middle linebacker, and it’s not like they have a ton of salary cap space. So, it’s only normal to see that they haven’t made as many moves as the fans would’ve wanted. Notably, though, it seems like Bills Mafia will be in for a treat sooner rather than later, as defensive star Von Miller took to the Pat McAfee Show to state that they might be getting a “big-time weapon” in the coming days. "Word on the street is that we might be getting another BIG TIME weapon" @VonMiller #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/djLl53wAJn — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 19, 2023 Miller started raving about their offense with Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox, and Damien Harris, so chances are he was talking about an offensive skill player. Of course, it didn’t take long before fans took to Twitter to speculate, with some thinking he was talking about Dalvin Cook and others believing he meant DeAndre Hopkins. @BrileyBuckley @Blewis2402 pic.twitter.com/7r6jtpxw89 — mark geisel (@mark_geisel) April 19, 2023 pic.twitter.com/xXcYwaGm1n — Purple Shades Off (@_Paytience_) April 19, 2023 @saquon to the Bills CONFIRMED — SPACED COURIER (@SpacedPilot3000) April 19, 2023 Zeke lmao — JAY (@JayKolaka) April 19, 2023 The Minnesota Vikings already parted ways with Adam Thielen and several key pieces, so they might be tempted to give Cook away as well as they look to cut back expenses. As for Hopkins, he’s been rumored to be on the trade block, and analysts claim he could even be released if the team doesn’t find a trade suitor. Hopkins recently admitted he would like to play for the Bills, so he seems like the likeliest candidate at this point. So, stay tuned and keep refreshing your Twitter timelines, Bills fans. Help could be on the way when you least expect it. NFL Insider Makes Prediction For Texans At No. 2 Overall
NFL Insider Makes Prediction For Texans At No. 2 Overall https://ift.tt/euPKZhr (Photo by Logan Riely/Getty Images) The Houston Texans need to find a new franchise quarterback. After trading Deshaun Watson before last season, the Texans knew they were in the market for a new signal caller. The best place to find a future star of the league is in the NFL Draft. And the Texans have a premium pick to select a quarterback. Houston has the second and 12th overall picks in the first round. But all eyes are on what the Texans will decide to do at No. 2. It has been said for a while that they will take a quarterback with that second pick. But, many reports are starting to surface that may no longer be the case. Ian Rapoport went on the Pat McAfee Show to discuss his thoughts on what the Texans will do. Rapoport said, “I would be surprised if the Houston Texans don’t take the QB of their future at number two.” "I would be surprised if the Houston Texans don't take the QB of their future at number two" ~ @RapSheet #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/e2GPDmX7a1 — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 17, 2023 At this point in draft season, many teams will be throwing out smoke screens to hide their true intentions. Houston could be interested in trading back to acquire more picks if they are not sold on one of the quarterbacks. But, even that seems like a stretch. With the Carolina Panthers set to take a quarterback first overall, all eyes are on what the Texans will decide to do once they come on the clock. Fans React To Shocking Lamar Jackson Contract Report
Fans React To Shocking Lamar Jackson Contract Report https://ift.tt/69yxhCs (Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images) The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson seem to be at a standoff right now. Neither side is willing to cave on their contract demands, and it remains uncertain if a deal will get done. One aspect of a deal that Jackson is looking for is guaranteed money. He wants a deal close to fully guaranteed and on the same level as Deshaun Watson’s contract from the Browns. Many reports have been flying around about what Jackson has or has not been offered. But Ian Rapoport went on the Pat McAfee Show to help clear up some of the questions. Rapoport said, “The deal that the Ravens offered Lamar Jackson was pretty strong… $200M was the total guaranteed and the $133M was guaranteed on a shorter deal.” "The deal that the Ravens offered Lamar Jackson was pretty strong.. $200M was the total guaranteed and the $133M was guaranteed on a shorter deal" @RapSheet #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/QJHJV3e97L — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 17, 2023 Many people were unaware that the Ravens would go that high on guarantees. Also, many people are shocked that Jackson would turn down the $200 million guaranteed. If lamar doesn't take it, he just doesn't want to be a raven. It's pretty much that simple at this point — # 2 Pick In Draft (@AyooTexanNation) April 17, 2023 Lamar confirm this cause ain't no way you turned down $200M in guarantees. — TheSportsFanatic (@MrSportsReviews) April 17, 2023 But, now that they have, you would think a deal should be coming into place soon. Also, after the contract that Jalen Hurts received, it makes sense that Jackson would be paid in the same ballpark as that deal. Lamar has been offered a contract, but is it big enough after the Jalen Hurts deal dropped? https://t.co/zQrBPM465n — 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗗𝗙𝗦 & 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗦 (@LineStarApp) April 17, 2023 It would be best for the Ravens if they can get a long-term deal done with Jackson before the season. But, Jackson not having an agent will make a deal more tricky. Sure, but that's not what @Lj_era8 thinks he's worth. And because he refused to get an agent this situation is going to continue to get uglier. https://t.co/t516wnW2j7 — DBC Aficionado (@Bayareasportss) April 17, 2023 He is not going to want to play on the franchise tag, and if he is forced to that could only raise more problems. The Ravens know how important Jackson is to their chances of winning. He should be paid like one of the best in the game. Former NFL GM Has A Strong Belief About Colts No. 4 Pick
Former NFL GM Has A Strong Belief About Colts’ No. 4 Pick https://ift.tt/tscaJv7 (Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty Images) The 2023 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, with things starting to get interesting regarding teams around the league potentially considering selecting a quarterback in the first round on April 27. The consensus right now seems to be that four or five quarterbacks could be taken in the first round of the draft, with a handful of teams jockeying for position to get the player they want to be the future face of their franchise potentially. One of those teams is the Indianapolis Colts, a franchise that has struggled to find a successor for Andrew Luck, who shocked everyone by retiring in his prime in 2019. Although there have been rumors about the Colts being interested in trading for superstar Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, it seems much more likely they’ll take a quarterback at No. 4, which former NFL executive Michael Lombardi believes will be Will Levis out of Kentucky. "I do think the Colts will pick a QB with the number four pick.. I could be wrong but I think they really like Will Levis" ~ @mlombardiNFL #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/hKsHxZdKlb — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 17, 2023 With less than two weeks to go, Levis is considered by most to be the fourth-best quarterback in this draft class behind Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson. Although it is uncertain what most teams think of Richardson at this point, as some may believe he’s a bit too raw and more of a risk than the other three, Levis being the third or fourth quarterback off the board seems about right. The Carolina Panthers own the No. 1 pick ahead of the Colts, which many believe will be Young out of Alabama. The Houston Texans are on the clock next at No. 2, which will likely be Ohio State star C.J. Stroud, and then there’s the Arizona Cardinals at No. 3. The Cardinals could trade out of that spot, with Kyler Murray as their long-term quarterback. If Arizona does make a trade, it’ll likely be to a quarterback-needy team, who could go with Levis or Richardson, leaving the Colts in a tough position if they want the Kentucky star.
