Doesn’t the Egyptian navy also enforce the blockade?
I thought it was Israel and Egypt both. But I’ve seen no mention of Egypt’s involvement recently.
(I did see that Egyptian authorities have stopped, detained and deported many of the “march to Gaza” activists.)
Explained: Egypt, the Gaza Blockade, and the March for Gaza activists
If you've seen MSM coverage about the Gaza blockade, you may well believe that Israel is the only country enforcing it.
Egypt has also enforced a blockade on Gaza since 2007. This isn't a secret, it's a long-standing policy, but it rarely shows up in activist slogans, protest chants, or international outrage.
That's part of the reason why western March to Gaza activists were so confused by what they encountered in Egypt.
I can't find any clips of these encounters which aren't biased, so this will have to do:
youtube
So let's put this in context.
What Is the Gaza Blockade?
In 2007, after Hamas took control of Gaza from the Palestinian Authority in a violent coup, Israel and Egypt both imposed blockades on the territory.
Israel's blockade focuses on land, airspace, and maritime access (because it shares all of those with Gaza) with the stated purpose of preventing weapons smuggling and rocket attacks. Egypt's blockade is focused mainly on the land border at the Rafah crossing - the only non-Israeli border Gaza has.
Tumblr media
Both countries restrict what and who can move in and out. Both justify it on security grounds. Israel cites rocket fire and terror tunnels. Egypt cites Hamas’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a banned and often brutally suppressed group inside Egypt.
What did Egypt do differently at their border with Gaza after Hamas took over?
Tightened Restrictions: Egypt imposed much stricter controls on the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza.
Rafah Crossing Closure and Intermittent Openings: The Rafah crossing was largely closed by Egypt after the Hamas takeover. It has only been opened intermittently since then, primarily for limited purposes, such as allowing special shipments of medical supplies or facilitating travel for individuals requiring medical treatment.
Participation in the Blockade: Egypt joined with Israel in enforcing a blockade of Gaza, aiming to prevent weapons smuggling and exert economic pressure on Hamas. The blockade has severely restricted the flow of essential goods, contributing to economic hardship and limiting the freedom of movement for Gazans.
Crackdown on Smuggling Tunnels: Egypt launched efforts to destroy the smuggling tunnels that had become a vital lifeline for goods entering Gaza, going so far as to flood the tunnels in 2015.Mediation Efforts: Egypt has engaged in mediation efforts between Fatah and Hamas, the two main Palestinian factions, attempting to broker reconciliation agreements. The Rafah crossing has sometimes been used as a tool in these negotiations.
Focus on Security Cooperation with Israel: Egypt has coordinated closely with Israel on security matters related to the border, which has contributed to the tightening of restrictions on the Rafah crossing.
Egypt's policies regarding the Rafah crossing have not been static. They have varied depending on internal Egyptian politics, regional dynamics, the state of relations between Egypt and Hamas and security concerns.
Here's a snapshot from August 2023 put out by OCHA, using data provided by Hamas (accuracy questionable, but this demonstrates international attention to the matter.)
While participating in the blockade, Egypt has also sought to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, particularly during times of crisis. For instance, in 2014, Egypt permitted the World Food Programme to bring food through the Rafah crossing.
Does Egypt Enforce a Naval Blockade Too?
Not like Israel does because it doesn't have to. Egypt controls its own coastal waters, but doesn't patrol Gaza's maritime border.
It does tightly restrict access to its land border at Rafah and coordinates with Israel on border and security policies. So while there isn't a direct Egyptian naval blockade, Egypt enforces restrictions on movement and trade just as seriously on land.
Why Don't Activists Talk About Egypt's Role?
Egypt's participation in the blockade is a matter of record. It controls a major border crossing. It restricts people and goods. It's even used violence to destroy smuggling tunnels and detain activists. Yet I've never seen news of protests against Egypt.
Why? Because nuance messes up the narrative and doesn't fit into the oppressor/victim dynamic.
The dominant narrative in much of the West frames the Gaza conflict through the lens of settler colonialism, with Israel as the powerful, evil, European colonizer and Palestinians as the indigenous, helpless, innocent, virtuous colonized. That framing doesn't leave room for Arab states to be seen as complicit or even hostile to Hamas. It flattens the region's politics into a binary that leaves out information which is needed to understand the region.
Put another way, it's easier for some activists to blame Israel alone. Criticizing an Arab country like Egypt (especially one run by an authoritarian government) complicates the story. Also, it doesn't fit on a sign or in a hashtag.
What About the "March to Gaza" Activists?
As noted above, Egyptian authorities detained and deported international activists trying to join a solidarity march to Gaza. These are the same types of activists who accuse Israel of violating human rights for restricting access to Gaza.
So finally, a certain kind of Westerner has noticed that Egypt also has a blockade. Even so, there were no major headlines, no global protests against Egypt, and barely a whisper on social media. Ground News shows the coverage spread is spread pretty evenly.
When Israel stops people at the border, it's called apartheid. When Egypt does it, it's mostly ignored. Why the double standard? (You know why.)
Why Does Egypt Enforce a Blockade at All?
Egypt sees Hamas as a national security threat. Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, which Egypt's government sees as a terrorist organization. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi came to power after removing a Muslim Brotherhood president from office in a military coup. Sisi subsequently was elected as Egyptian president and enjoys substantially more support than his predecessor. He has cracked down hard on violent Jihadist/Islamist movements of all kinds.
In September of 2013, an Egyptian court banned the Brotherhood and ordered the seizure of its assets and associations. In December of 2013, the Sisi government officially declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.
In addition to targeting the Muslim Brotherhood, Sisi's government has waged a continuous and often brutal campaign against various jihadist groups, most notably Wilayat Sinai (formerly Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis), which pledged allegiance to ISIS, in the Sinai Peninsula. This campaign has involved large-scale military operations, curfews, and the displacement of residents.
The Sisi government consistently frames its actions as a necessary "war on terror" to protect Egypt from extremism and instability, and this narrative has resonated with many Egyptians weary of political turmoil.
So Egypt's policy isn't about helping Israel. It's about controlling what happens on its own border and containing a group it sees as dangerous and destabilizing.
Why Does Any of This Matter?
If you want to understand the blockade (and the conflict in general) you need the full picture.
You need to embrace complexity nuance, and shades of grey. You need to let go of the egotistical Western view that the world generally thinks like you do and shares your general values. They don't, it doesn't. The world is too complex to flatten to a binary. Here are some complexities which many Western leftists seem not to grasp:
Arab Regimes are neither Anti-Zionist Saints nor Pro-Hamas Allies.
A common but false assumption among many Western activists is that Egypt and other Arab states are natural allies of Palestinians in their struggle against Israel. Egypt:
Is deeply suspicious of Hamas (an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is outlawed in Egypt and viewed as a terrorist threat).
Has its own national security interests that are often at odds with Palestinian groups.
Maintains its own blockade on Gaza, which predates and operates alongside Israel’s.
Western activists who believe that "Free Palestine" is the unifying moral cause of the Arab world often miss that most Arab regimes are more concerned with their own security concerns, domestic stability, counterterrorism, and maintaining authoritarian control than championing Palestinian liberation. It just doesn't matter to them the way it matters to the Western "Pro-Palestinian" activists.
Egypt Co-Enforces the Gaza Blockade
Egypt controls their Rafah border, the only crossing from Gaza not controlled by Israel.
Egypt routinely keeps the Rafah crossing closed, except for specific humanitarian cases or diplomatic arrangements.
Egypt blames Hamas for instability and violence that spills into the Sinai, and it does not want a flood of refugees escaping into the Egyptian Sinai.
Anti-Imperialism Has Become Weirdly Pro-Imperial
One of the bitter ironies of the Western left's approach is that their anti-imperialism tends to romanticize or whitewash non-Western authoritarian states.* In the name of fighting US or Israeli imperialism, they ignore or excuse:
Egypt's military dictatorship and brutal police state.
Assad's war crimes in Syria.
Iran's suppression of women and minorities.
Russia's aggressive expansionism.
China's human rights abuses against many, including the Uyghurs
This highlights broader confusion among Western "Pro-Palestinian" activists
They seem to reduce every situation to "colonizer vs colonized," or "Oppressor vs Victim" and place all Arab actors automatically on the side of victims justly seeking justice...ignoring that states like Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia have their own histories of colonialism, suppression, and regional imperialism which are varied, complex, and frequently in competition.
They treat Hamas as if it's just a resistance movement rather than a militant Islamist regime which is:
Hostile to Egyptian authority,
Fundamentally illiberal
Hostile to the rights of women and LGBTQ+ persons
In conflict not just with Israel, but also with Fatah (the Palestinian Authority), Egypt, and much of the Arab world.
Missing out on post-colonial dynamics
Try to watch this with Egyptian eyes:
youtube
The Egyptians in the video don't just despise Hamas. There's more happening here.
Keep in mind that Egypt was ruled (in whole or in part) by the British as a colonial power from 1882 to 1956.
This uninvited guest, this British Welshman who doesn't speak Arabic and knows nothing about Egyptians or Gazans...is condemning and lecturing Egyptians on their moral obligations as Muslims...on their own soil...with patronizing language like "I believe that the people of the Arabic nations have a white heart."
How might you feel if you were an Egyptian cop or soldier who was expected to be calm while being condescended to this way by this man?
Can you see the extraordinary privilege of which this Welshman is totally unaware and how inappropriate his actions are even by the Western left's own domestic standards and social mores?
His condescension to Egyptians is textbook Orientalism. It's cringe on so many levels.
Projection of Western Political Tropes
These activists (instead of learning about peoples who are geographically, ideologically, and politically distant from them and just as complex as people anywhere) project their own local, parochial, left-wing, binary, intersectional frameworks onto a region where those frameworks don’t translate.
In Egypt, you don’t get to chant "Free Palestine" and assume the police will see you as righteous or even harmless. You're more likely to be detained, interrogated, or worse - and not because they oppose dignity, safety, and self-determination for Palestinians, but because they oppose dissent and are sick to death of being condescended to by Westerners who don't know a single thing about them.
Well, Israelis don't know anything about them either!
~20% of Israel's citizens are Arab and speak Arabic. Another 20% of Israelis who are Jews speak fluent Arabic and you can study Arabic as a second language in Jewish public schools in Israel.
About 40% of Israeli citizens speak Arabic.
Most Jewish Arabic-speakers' families came to Israel from Arab lands where they'd lived for centuries as second-class citizens. They know Arab people and Arab culture. They have Arab co-workers, Arab doctors, Arab judges, and Arab members of their parliament. They have no problem seeing Arabs, individually and collectively, as complex, sophisticated people with intelligence and agency.
Israeli journalist Haviv Rettig Gur:
Western activists seeking to enter Gaza via Egypt discovered to their horror this week one of the most obvious and basic facts about the Gaza war: That Egypt's military dictatorship doesn't care one whit how much Palestinians suffer behind the heavily-armed border fence it has installed between Egypt and Gaza. That this came as a shock to Western activists is itself a function of the fact that they know very little about the subjects of their moral emotions, because the basic purpose of Palestinian activism in the West isn't to move the needle for Palestinians - a task that would require knowledge and nuance and a capacity for self-critique - but merely to experience those moral emotions. I know it can be hard to see it, but this is as far from actual focused concern for Palestinians as Iran's, Egypt's and France's diverse hypocrisies. If given the choice between, for example, an Israeli victory that produces a free and prosperous Gaza and an Israeli loss that sends Gaza back into the clutches of Hamas for another generation, most of these activists will enthusiastically endorse the latter. Because feelings.
Yep. Because feelings.
Tacked on at the End: The Open Air Prison Myth
The claim is often made that the blockade by Egypt and Israel made Gaza, until 10/7/23, an open air prison.
I'm not even going to waste words disputing this. Watch these:

"Women's Day" Proves West is De Facto Communist
Why do we Celebrate Soviet Holidays?
March 8, International Womyn's Day, originated in the USSR. From Wikipedia: "Following the October Revolution in 1917, the Bolshevik Alexandra Kollontai persuaded Vladimir Lenin to make [March 8th, International Women's Day] an official holiday in the Soviet Union....Kollontai believed that, like the state, the family unit would wither away once the second stage of communism became a reality. She viewed marriage and traditional families as legacies of the oppressive, property-rights-based, egoist past."
This proves that Communism is a fait accompli in the West. A Rothschild central bank is a plank in the Communist Manifesto. By controlling credit, the Illuminati (Cabalist) Jewish central bankers also control business, government, culture and media. The satanist goal is the destruction of Christian Western civilization and the enslavement/dispossession of mankind.
Zionism is essentially false opposition to the Communist World Order, designed to provide a pretext for WW3.
The Illuminati subject us to the same social engineering as the USSR. We have de facto Communism and don't even know it. Take a look at the corporate sponsors. The central bankers only need to own 3-5% of the stock to control a corporation.
Feminism is designed to undermine Western society by breaking up the family. Similarly, diversity, migration, miscegenation, pornography and gender dysphoria are designed to destroy the West The goyim are oblivious to this relentless occult attack because the MSM portrays it as "progressive" instead of "suicidal."

By Henry Makow Ph.D
International Women's Day ( March 8) is a longtime Communist propaganda tool. What does it say when an official Soviet holiday is enshrined in our mainstream culture? Clearly, Communism isn't dead; it has just morphed into other forms like Feminism, CRT, BLM and Woke.
It confirms Norman Dodd's famous claim that Ford Foundation President Rowan Gaither told him, in 1954, that the agenda was to "socially engineer" US life so that "that it can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union" as part of banker-controlled world government.
Every year the supposedly capitalist media echo the old Soviet bromides about women's oppression, and every year I post this rebuttal.
CELEBRATING WOMYN
Tumblr media
"Women's Day" pretends to celebrate women but the poster near my Winnipeg home shows an ugly, surly shrew brandishing a hammer. She looks demonically possessed. The caption reads, "if I only had a hammer.."
She'd what? Hit men over the head? Tear down society? Smash women who want husbands and children?
This isn't far-fetched. Under the dance notice, the poster actually says: "Come smash patriarchy at midnight!" She doesn't look like she has much to fear from a man.
Women participating in the march are asked to bring "your hardhats, tool belts, safety vests and ideas for change." Typically Communists celebrate women by redefining them out of existence, as males, i.e. carpenters and pipe fitters.
Through its feminist surrogate, Communists have stripped women of a secure and honored social identity as wives and mothers and made them workers and sexual commodities, hostages to the economy, psyops like the caronahoax and the ravages of age.
Obviously, this day is not about recognizing women for their grace, beauty, charm, and intelligence. It is about cultivating a false sense of grievance and entitlement in order to manipulate them.
They used the same tactic with Jews, Blacks, students and workers and harnessed these groups to their agenda. The ultimate goal is to concentrate all wealth and power in the Illuminati (Masonic) central banking cartel which is colonizing the whole world. The real meaning of "change the world" is the establishment of a totalitarian New World Order.
"USEFUL IDIOTS"
International Women's Day is hate against women and society perpetrated by the traitorous banker colonial establishment, which includes most "feminist" politicians, educators and the mass media. Women who participate are dupes and "useful idiots."
It is a vestige of Communist "popular front" movements first organized in the 1930s to ensnare naive idealistic people using feel-good platitudes like "equality," "peace" and "human rights." These rubes didn't know that the movements were funded and run by Moscow. The purpose was to alienate the intelligentsia from their own society and make them amenable to the Communist agenda, ultimately "world government." This seems to have largely succeeded.
Communism is about divide and rule. International Women's Day began in Copenhagen by "The Socialist International" (i.e. Communists) to promote "women's rights." As the poster on the right indicates, it was celebrated in Soviet Russia.
Here is a Manifesto for International Women's Day published in the German "Die Kommunistin" March 2, 1921:
"To all working women! You who make demands and struggle count in the millions...In all countries where the disinherited surge forward under the sign of Communism against the exploiting and subjugating power of capitalism. On International Women's Day, mothers filled with pain, housewives bent with worry, exhausted working women, clerical workers, teachers and small property holders flow together." (Weimar Republic Sourcebook, 1995)
"AGITPROP" ( Commie Term for Propaganda)
Women's Day is designed to make women feel oppressed. For example, a page of gender facts tells them that "women do 2/3 of the world's work but get only 10% of the world's income." Thus, western women, the most favored generation in history, get a chip on their shoulder vicariously.
Women are brainwashed to think their interests are separate from their own fathers, husbands, brothers and sons.
Thousands of events are planned around the world. For example, at the Unitarian Church in London Ont. an organization for Afghanistan women and girls "will honor and celebrate our local women with music, singing, dancing, and refreshments. All women and girls are welcome. Free event!" Sounds lesbian to me.
In San Francisco, there will be a cocktail party and movie to highlight the plight of the women of Gaza. What about the men and boys of Afghanistan and Gaza? Don't they count? In the name of equality, these Communist dupes are practising inequality. By breaking up families, they will leave Muslim women and girls more vulnerable than ever.
CONCLUSION
This timeworn Communist agitprop is proof we live in a closet Communist society. Most people are not socialist, let alone Communist.
As long as a secret Illuminati clique (Communists, Zionists, Freemasons) is allowed to control government credit, subvert nations and plot world government, society is complicit in its own destruction. We will have no one to blame but ourselves.

First Comment from Dan Butler (1955-2018):
Vladimir Lenin, Satanist and Feminist:
"Our demands are practical conclusions which we have drawn from the burning needs, the shameful humiliation of women, defenseless and without rights. We demonstrate thereby that we recognize these needs, and are sensible of the humiliation of the woman, the privileges of the man. That we hate, yes, hate everything, and will abolish everything which tortures and oppresses the woman worker, the housewife, the peasant woman, It wins us the confidence of the masses of women who feel themselves exploited, enslaved, suppressed, by the domination of the man, by the power of the employer, by the whole of society."
"Could there be more damning proof of this than the calm acquiescence of men who see how women grow worn out In petty, monotonous household work, their strength and time dissipated and wasted, their minds growing narrow and stale, their hearts beating slowly, their will weakened! The home life of the woman is a daily sacrifice to a thousand unimportant trivialities. "
"In law, there is naturally complete equality of rights for men and women. And everywhere there is evidence of a sincere wish to put this equality into practice. We are bringing the women into the social economy, into legislation and government. All educational institutions are open to them so that they can increase their professional and social capacities. That will mean freedom for the woman from the old household drudgery and dependence on man."

How to Register an MSME in India and What Its Benefits Are
Tumblr media
There are more organized and advanced things going on now that there are more Indian people interested in startups and MSMEs have been around since 2001. Even though India is still a young country, it is clearly changing. The government is also not afraid to come up with good programs to help MSMEs start up and grow quickly.
In the same way, the Ministry of MSME is working hard to support MSM businesses that make, process, or store goods to let entrepreneurs know that starting a business doesn't have to cost a fortune anymore. The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006, was made by the Indian government to help small and medium-sized businesses grow. When it comes to the law, tiny, small, and medium-sized businesses are best described as
Business Category
Putting money into plants and machines (Production and Manufacturing Industry) Putting money into equipment (Service Business). Small
The amount spent on plant and tools is less than 25 lakh rupees. The amount spent on plant and tools is less than 10 lakh rupees.  More than Rs. 25 lakh, but less than Rs. 5 crore, was spent on plant and tools. Plant and tools cost more than 10 lakh rupees but less than 2 crore rupees. A Medium The amount spent on plant and tools is more than 5 crore but less than 10 crore.
What do you need to do to become an MSME?
To get it certified, you need to go through an online method that needs your Aadhar number. You can get the award online, so you don't need a paper copy. Also, businesses that have an MSME Certificate find it even easier to get licenses, approvals, and registrations from the right officials in any field for their operations. In this way, they can show the Certificate of MSME Registration when they apply. On top of that, applicants can get their ISO certificate fees back by submitting a request to the appropriate authority that is backed by MSME Certificates.
Just what are the pros of signing up?
There are a lot of them, such as priority lending, cluster financing with low-interest bank loans, and the chance to use the newest quality management standards. Let's look at each one separately. When a new business starts up or grows, it doesn't have to pay Stamp Duty, Registration fees, or direct taxes in its first year. This is because it is an MSME.
The right kind of support your business can get a Bar Code Registration subsidy—a 50% subsidy for patent registration if you apply to the right body and for trademark registration in a certain category. Help with the costs of getting licenses to certify products from national or international standardization groups. As part of this activity, a subsidy equal to 75% of the real cost is given to license the product to meet national or international standards. The most help that the GOI will give to a small or medium-sized business is Rs.1.5 lakh for getting a product licensed or marked to meet national standards and Rs.2 lakh for getting a product licensed or marked to meet international standards.
How useful are banks?
The interest rates are lower for businesses that are registered than for other businesses. Public sector banks can call their MSME general banking branches "specialized MSME branches" if 60% or more of their loans go to the MSME sector. This is being done to make things better for everyone in this area. Based on the RBI Master Circular on giving to the MSME sector from July 1, 2010, the largest loan that can be taken out is Rs.1 crore. There are business incubators. Through incubators, the Ministry helps small and medium-sized businesses grow as entrepreneurs and managers. The main goal of this program is to help people come up with new business ideas that can be put into action within a year. These ideas can be about new or indigenous technology, processes, goods, procedures, etc.
Through the Scheme, financial help of 75% to 85% of the project cost is given, up to INR6.25Lakh per idea. The Business Incubators (BIs) or the host school can only get help with 10 ideas at a time. The BIs can also get Rs. 3.78 lakh to cover the costs of equipment and training for 10 ideas (Rs. 37,800 per idea). Anyone or any Micro and Small Businesses (MSEs) with a new business idea that is almost ready to be sold can contact one of the approved Business Incubators under the plan. Then, institutions like engineering colleges, management schools, research labs, and others that have their own incubation facilities and staff to help new entrepreneurs and ideas can fill out the application form that was provided.
Conclusion
These days, anything outside the box is in style. Also, the fact that it doesn't follow a set plan makes us wonder how flexible a single idea could be. The same is true for this place's business spirit. The MSMEs are growing quickly thanks to help from the government and young people who want to start their own business. That piece might have been useful for people who want to work for themselves or have business ideas but aren't sure how to get started or get money for them. Even if you don't do anything else, the thought of registering your business can be a good start toward your goals.

i think it would be fine if a man who exclusively liked men didn't want to be called gay actually. even if it was because of internalized homophobia. that's actually not my job to judge. i don't get to decide that for him. i don't care what he wants to call himself so long as he's acting with care towards others.
the category of MSM -- men who have sex with men -- exists because there were men who identified as totally straight who were part of the gay cruising scene when HIV/AIDS was happening. and if public health only advertised to gay and bi men, those men would likely stay ignorant, and the epidemic would spread.
so no, "dont call my identity a slur" people, i would not feel any differently if we were talking about "gay."
the people who say you can't ever reclaim a slur or identify with a reclaimed slur are also stupid and wrong. btw. i see very few people arguing this in good faith but there are a handful. who honestly should be ignored because that's a stupid take, for the same reason. if i wanna be a fucking faggot i'm gonna.
it's also not that fucking hard to call me bisexual. like the label i actually fucking identify with. and not call me labels i don't claim. this seems like the bare minimum in fact.
we understand this with pronouns, yes? that you can't just decide someone is wrong about which pronouns fit them? if i tell people to call me it/its or they/them or thon it's not their place to refuse me because they believe ze/hir is more progressive or grammatically correct or fitting for my gender. shut the FUCK up.
you can disagree or not understand, and you can ask or keep it to yourself, but you don't get to decide what label i am. and you don't get to tell me what my reasons "must" be for using it. or assume my preferences are just because i don't "know better". if you want to know why you can fucking ask, but if you assume the worst possible shit for no reason you are being an asshole about my boundaries for no fucking reason.
i don't give a single crawling fuck why someone doesn't want to be called one gender or sexuality label or another, you respect that. we respect that.
how is this even a priority right now are you serious, trans people aren't allowed to legally exist in public and you wanna fight about how everyone must use a specific label or else they're not really in the fight for our community? this is like designed in a lab to be a stupid wedge issue to distract from saving trans lives. please just shut the fuck up, respect peoples preferences, and go do something useful.
"only terves don't use this label" is not useful you're literally just a mark for taking anything they say at face value. they will literally say anything to make themselves look like a bigger group than they are. start spelling our "trans woman exclusionary" every time you talk about them so you can check if you're actually talking about transmisogyny specifically. that's like. slightly more useful.
but i mean go be actually useful, like making sure there's lgbt+ safe shelters in your area and needle exchanges for people doing DIY HRT and shit like that. please. just shut the fuck up and use the labels people ask you to and stop pretending that you can decode someones personal politics and moral compass based on what label combination they use. you are such easy marks yall.

Post-Arrival Support: How Consultants Assist Students Settling in the Australia
Introduction
Adjusting to life in a new country can be a nightmare, especially for international students. Australia, known for its diverse culture and excellent educational institutions, attracts thousands of students worldwide annually. However, the transition can be challenging.
This is where post-arrival support from reliable educational consultants becomes crucial. These professionals play a pivotal role in helping students acclimate to their new surroundings, particularly in terms of finding suitable student accommodations in Australia.
Tumblr media
The initial challenges faced by international students are multifaceted. They range from cultural shock and language barriers to financial management and academic pressures. One of the most significant challenges, however, is finding appropriate student accommodations in Australia. The right accommodation is not just about a place to stay but building a conducive environment for study and social interaction.
Read the following article by MSM Unify to understand how educational consultants play an imperative role in helping students settle in Australia.
Role of Educational Consultants in Post-Arrival Support
Providing Information and Guidance
Upon arrival, consultants offer comprehensive information about living in Australia, including laws, customs, and lifestyle. This information is vital in helping students adapt to the Australian way of life quickly.
Assistance with Student Accommodations in Australia
Consultants carry extensive knowledge of the various student accommodations in Australia, such as university dormitories, private hostels, homestays, and rental apartments. They assist students in finding accommodations that are safe, affordable, and conveniently located near their educational institution.
Orientation Programs
Many consultants organize orientation programs for international students. These programs typically cover important aspects such as public transportation, healthcare services, emergency procedures, and financial management.
Academic Support
They also offer guidance on academic matters, such as course selection, study techniques, and managing academic stress.
Career Guidance and Professional Development
Another crucial aspect of post-arrival support is career guidance and professional development. Consultants often provide insights into the Australian job market, resume building, and interview preparation. They may also connect students with internships and part-time job opportunities, which are important for gaining local work experience and supplementing their income.
Emotional and Psychological Support
Moving to a new country can be emotionally taxing. Educational consultants often extend their support beyond just logistical aspects, offering counseling and emotional support. They may provide resources for mental health support and connect students with local communities and support groups. This holistic approach to post-arrival support ensures that students' emotional well-being is also taken care of.
Cultural Integration
Consultants often facilitate cultural integration by organizing social events and activities where students can meet and interact with locals and fellow international students.
Adapting to the Academic Environment
The academic environment in Australia might differ significantly from what students are used to in their home countries. Consultants guide adapting to different teaching styles, understanding academic expectations, and utilizing campus resources effectively. This support is crucial in helping students excel academically and make the most of their educational opportunities.
How does an effective post-arrival support help?
The impact of effective post-arrival support on an international student’s life in Australia is significant. With the right support:
Adjustment Period is Shortened-  Students settle in much faster, reducing the stress and anxiety that comes with moving to a new country.
Academic Success- Proper guidance and support can lead to better academic performance.
Social Integration- Assistance in finding suitable student accommodations in Australia and organizing social events helps students build a social network, which is crucial for emotional support.
Conclusion
The journey of an international student in Australia is full of challenges but also rich with opportunities. Educational consultants are indispensable in smoothing this journey, especially in the critical post-arrival phase. Their support in finding student accommodations in Australia, academic guidance, and cultural integration is invaluable. With their help, students are not only able to overcome initial hurdles but also thrive in their new environment. For students planning to study in Australia, engaging with a consultant for post-arrival support can make a significant difference. Would you be willing to give a couple of sources that inform your HK takes? I find your position refreshing and unique and haven’t been able to find much outside of tankie takes or MSM chaff
The stuff about the functional constituencies reserving half the seats in the legislature for economic special interest groups is an official part of the legal system so its kinda just on the books but for briefer summaries you can look at news articles during HK election years that give primers for what is going on
Here’s another article talking about the history of the system and how it represents a continuity of colonial relations (in case saying HK is a Chinese colony feels awkward) in that Westminster HK and Beijing HK are both states wherein an alliance of local capitalists and businesses collaborate with a non-local regime for the governance of HK.
That fact right there is something neither Anglo-American nor PRC narratives like to touch on. Namely that the openly oligarchic and plutocratic and anti-democratic system of governance in Hong Kong which Beijing seeks to defend is a product of British rule. The former of course would not like to acknowledge that because it messes with the narrative of Western liberalism  and there are people interested in making the protests look like they are about defending Anglo-Saxon liberties and of course for the latter it messes with the narrative that HK is ‘liberated’ post-handover since the system of governance inherited from the British is precisely what Beijing seeks to defend. When it comes down to it Westerminster and Beijing value Hong Kong for its role in international capitalism

We are all too familiar with the SJWs’ “muh feelings” pose. We are also familiar with the Leftists’ manipulative stance, be it through their sanctimonious bullying, guilt-tripping, appeals to a pseudo-consensus, veiled threats, or constant emotional blackmailing. The maelstrom of emotions the Left plays with makes tempting to withdraw emotionally. We might be led to think that the higher good lies in “cold, hard facts” alone. But if we do so, we easily forget that cold facts do not prompt for any action, and if we merely describe while trying to get emotionally disconnected, we cut ourselves off the game.
Passions are part of the game
Tumblr media
When the infamous Karl Marx wrote that modern capitalism “drowned the most heavenly ecstasies of religious fervour, of chivalrous enthusiasm, of philistine sentimentalism, in the icy water of egotistical calculation,” he had a point. The bourgeois world of classic modernity is emotionally lacking, and both the bohemian artistry and Communist radical politics stepped up to fulfill the void. This historical point is still relevant today. Conservatives fail to make stands because they are much more passionate about their personal interest than about defending anything they pretend to stand for. SJWs, on the other hand, went very far into shrieking and bullying because they are usually passionate for their points. Different motivations lead to different outcomes. And a strong motivation, not to say a deep or passionate commitment, greatly helps to build a strong character.
The far-left was able to pick up people’s passions because the bourgeois would not, and perhaps could not, do that. The bourgeois idea of progress was about people becoming farm animals, individuals reduced to the status of producers and consumers in a world where nothing really new or interesting could appear anymore. In such a world, there is no need for passions and no need for politics, isn’t it? Well, the individuals would not let themselves get boiled down to the status of mere economical agents, and many preferred embracing some ridiculous strand of new-age spirituality, worthless artistry or even becoming Communists than living through the bourgeois-conservative nothingness..
Rejecting the passions and emotions, or at the very least trying to put them aside as to ignore them, made men weak and unable to take a stance. It has also made women unhinged, shameless, and willing to do anything for short-term pleasure, as no men were able to give them a proper sense of boundaries. Plus, passions being powerful motivators, the far-left mastery when it comes to stirring some made it tremendously powerful as well.
We must face passions, not as an annoyance, but as a resource that has to be mastered. This is true for ourselves and others. First, when we are aware of our emotional states without being directly prompted (“triggered”) by them, we gain the ability to choose consciously what we do and want to do, and can follow our own intuitions instead of getting framed by an alien narrative. Second, when we are also aware of others’ emotional states, we can steer them in a specific direction.
The latter is especially true for women: today, they follow fashions and MSM approval, when not following their own sluttiness and attention-whoring… but if men were able to reward, shame, and inspire proper passions in them, they would follow us instead. If we want this to happen, we have to take over the empire of passions and stir up some emotions in the public’s hearts, be it through discourse, artwork, or daily conversations. Here are three emotions I think we should be keen to stir.
1. Empathy
Tumblr media
According to Dr. Neel Burton,
Empathy can be defined as a person’s ability to recognize and share the emotions of another person, fictional character, or sentient being. It involves, first, seeing someone else’s situation from his perspective, and, second, sharing his emotions, including, if any, his distress. (Burton, Heaven and Hell, chap.21, p.153)
As empathy fits well with maternal instinct and motivates nurturing tendencies, women are naturally prone to it. Up until a very recent time, they took care of babies and small children, participated to local charities, worked in shelters for the homeless or went through menial but important tasks as nurses. They did so because their natural empathy motivated them to act this way.
By contrast, a striking feature of feminism is that it destroys womanly empathy and nurturing tendencies. From a feminist point of view, men are enemies or at the very least potential oppressors and children are a burden. Feminism reverses the empathy, turns it into defiance or even hatred. Worse: after women have lost their ability to feel positively towards the men they should at least respect, cultural Marxism stirs their natural empathy towards “minority” identities. Thus we see grrls caring about thugs, invaders, or weirdos, who are all positively portrayed in the media, more than they care about what should be their community.
The lack of empathy is also a problem among white men. Though black men often exert violence against each other, the majority of them always bonds when it comes to attacking the depleted white majority. The same goes for any community out there: they empathize with each other more than they would ever empathize with us. We, white men, are the only ones who do the exact opposite by being hypercritical against each other when we should actually be supportive and look at the positive rather than the negative.
There should be a lot more empathy towards us than there currently is. Others should be more sensitive to our plight, suffer when we suffer, or at least feel compelled to suffer when we do. We are the proximate [prochain?], not the Big Other. We, too, should have more empathy among ourselves: nice guys, for example, should not be considered as “jerks” or “bastards,” as say some red-pilled guys who seem to have internalized a negative framing, but as misled victims who proved some nobility by trying to conciliate “respect” for women with the healthy desire to get a deeper relationship. Along the same lines, the working- or middle-class average Joe who got disenfranchised should be painted on a positive and humane light so that wealthy liberals cannot ignore or merely sneer at him.
2. Hope
Tumblr media
Here is an emotion the Left has really abused from. Remember 2007-8, when the first “black” president was supposed to end the racial tensions in the US as well as the neocon foreign wars? Democrat activists at that time wrote without batting an eyelid about their hope for a world without losers, for an outcome where everyone would win. Then, the racial tensions have never been so high, the white majority is more dispossessed than ever, and the same liberals who were trumpeting about a world without losers have no shame calling us losers—from their choices and politics. Hope has been abused from, and we have to take it back. In fact, we have already started to.
Hope can be defined as the desire for something to happen combined with an anticipation of it happening. It is the anticipation of something desired… To hope for something is to desire that thing, and to believe, rightly or wrongly, that the probability of it happening, though less than 1, is greater than 0. (Neel Burton, Heaven and Hell, chap.14, p.103)
Trump is a wild card who comes with no guarantee, for sure. He still gives us something no Obama could ever give us—hope. The Alt-Right, manosphere, and the whole flourishing of high-quality dissenting intellectual efforts give us hope as well. Someone wrote that “the Alt-Right represents the first new philosophical competitor to liberalism, broadly defined, since the fall of Communism.” Someone else, here on ROK, noticed that more and more women were fed up with misandric grievance-mongering and longed to become mothers. These trends are more than interesting: they seem to point towards a better future that we still have to conquer.
On the other side, the liberal status quo and Hillary in particular mean pure hopelessness. If Hillary gets elected, we will have even less jobs, anti-white and anti-male organized groups will attack even more, the wealthy globalists will get fatter at our expense, and so on. Interestingly, liberals today use arguments of a conservative kind: when they shriek something as “the 5 last US presidents tell you not to vote for Trump” or “the Alt-Right and deplorables are un-American,” they look more like McCarthyists than hippies. They are the establishment clinging to the status quo and worsening. We are the embodiment of hope for a positive change.
3. Love
Tumblr media
While hope should be spread among any decent people and is pretty straightforward once we agree on the intrinsic value of its object, love appears a bit trickier. In a relationship, whoever loves the other most is dominated whereas who loves less has more room to take action. If a man falls in love, he falls in the sense that he gets dumbed down, pedestalizes the girl, who in turn will get bored and look for a more challenging partner. Thus, seduction must be used to stir love in women: they must love us as well as their children. Both as a mistress and a mother, both as sexual and nurturing, a woman exerts love.
In men, love must be exerted in a more distilled and thoughtful form: when we protect our dear ones, toil for them, care about their interests, these efforts are an expression of love as well—although this form of love must be more distant as to allow ampler room for action. In any case, the feminine element must love the most and more directly.
It should be added that masculine and feminine can be conceived, not only as absolute, but also as relative terms. Esotericists consider that we are all “feminine” when considered under a higher point of view: the most fierce, courageous and risk-taking warrior remains “feminine” relatively to a genuine spiritual authority, and any human is “feminine” relatively to God as the ultimate Father. The Bible compares the good ones to a bride that shall get married to God (Revelation, 19). Hinduism recommends bhakti or devotion, i.e. religious love, to those belonging to the warrior caste, whereas the spiritual authority is more “masculine” as it enjoys a higher and more direct knowledge of God. These considerations might seem a bit far-fetched, but they were already highly relevant before the tiniest stint of modern degeneracy was born. Just remember that being in love is acceptable for a man as long as it never equates to pedestalizing a woman.
Conclusion
Passions and emotions matter. If we set them aside as irrelevant, someone else will push our emotional buttons—and the girls’—and spin us in no time. The philosopher René Descartes wrote that “all the good and the bad in this life depend from the passions” and that we had better be able to use them wisely. Ironically, the word “Cartesian” now denotes a logical, rationalistic, supernatural-denying mindset. This is accurate for the young Descartes, who was among the top scientists of his time, but tosses aside an important twist: the philosopher eventually lost his only daughter, Francine, and the sadness he felt while mourning her made him aware of the power of emotions. Yet, instead of being dominated by said emotions, Descartes strove to gain cogency about them, and he wrote a very interesting little treatise to expand a whole theory of the “passions of the soul.”
Our case is the same. Most if not all of us have been blue-pilled since infancy. Cultural Marxism was shoveled down our throat by school teachers, media figures, movies, social pressure. At each step of this process, our emotions were stirred and directed by spinsters so that, for example, we would feel a high empathy for so-called minorities while ignoring the homeless “white males” dying of cold at winter.
Ride the tiger of your own emotions and of (some) others’ as well if you don’t want sinister globalists to.
https://www.returnofkings.com/11010/how-to-control-your-emotional-state
Tumblr media
We all have our ups and downs. Some days you feel on top of the world, you ooze a sexy masculine confidence that women love whereas other days you couldn’t be bothered to shave — you scowl at the thought of doing anything interesting and avoid all outside contact. Many guys accept this with a “que sera, sera” mentality. They feel it is just the natural ebb and flow of things, that taming your emotional state would be too chaotic of a task.
Those who do wish to change usually use hokey terminology talking about “energy” and the “universe.” They’ll seek guidance from another source so that they do not have to take responsibility for letting their emotions get out of check. People also seek a quick cure for a continual state of happiness, but what they do not realize is that happiness is transient.
I do believe there is a way to wrangle your emotions that relies on you, your habits and the power you have to respond to various stimuli. Essentially you must minimize the negativity and maximize the positivity in your life by altering certain habits.
Tumblr media
Minimize Habits That Lead To Negativity
Take a moment to think about any time you’ve lost control of your emotions. When did you last get angry, depressed, hateful, etc.? What do you do when you’re out talking to girls that hurts your success? Do you have unreasonable limiting beliefs? Do you believe you always need to be happy to be successful? Do you get frustrated when you have anxiety because of any of the above?
If you think about the above long enough and are mindful when such emotional states occur you will begin to notice a trend in what triggers them.
For me the biggest habits that lead to a negative state of mind, in which I lacked motivation, was depressed, and stayed inside all day, were my nutritional habits. I started to recognize a pattern: I’d go out drinking or eat highly processed foods, I’d wake up the next day tired and dehydrated, then I’d stay inside all day watching movies because I didn’t want to go to the gym or talk to people. The cycle would just endlessly repeat until the natural ebb and flow of things took me to a high point.
Maximize Habits That Lead To Positivity
Repeat the exercise above. When was the last time you felt on top of the world, when did you last feel invincible, when did you last have no anxieties? When were you on fire when talking to girls, what were you doing that made you so successful? What were the thoughts running through your head?
Again if you pay attention you will begin to see patterns. You’ll start to realize what habits lead to a great mood.
For me I felt the best when ‘rewarded’ with something. Whether it was having great sex, sharing something with a friend, new PRs in the gym, busting my ass in the library and getting a good grade, or learning a new skill.
Tumblr media
The Keystone Habit
Roosh brought up keystone habits in a recent article titled “One Approach A Day.” Essentially it is an innocuous habit that has a much larger effect than planned.
For me I started a few keystone habits: I started the day off with a nice cold glass of lemon water and my vitamins. In doing this I started drinking more and more water leading me to be less dehydrated, more energetic and making better food choices.
I also made a rule that as soon as I start talking myself out of something reasonable I would force myself to do whatever it was I was trying to rationalize my way out of. Maybe I’d start thinking “I’m kind of sore and I still haven’t seen the new episode of Game of Thrones, I think I’ll go to the gym later.” I know I wouldn’t go to the gym later so I would immediately get up and put on my workout gear. Just by doing this I started getting in the mood for lifting — I’ve also heard of guys packing a gym bag every night and leaving it in their car.
The peaks and troughs of our emotional state should not define us. As a man, whether it be through eliminating negative triggers or forming positive habits, you should be fully in control of your emotions. Use the power of a keystone habit to enact much larger scale change so you can be in a perpetual state of positivity, or at the very least, neutrality.

Conservative Americans Now Labeled “Domestic Terrorists” The long-awaited transition of power finally occurred in the United States on January 20, 2021 when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in as president and vice president. Two weeks before on January 6, a large number of Donald Trump’s supporters rallied in Washington DC to protest what they believed to be a stolen election by the Democrats. A small fraction of the demonstrators were let into (or broke into) the Capitol Building and staged a riot which was eventually ended by security forces with a small number of casualties. It is clear that the media and political reactions and the possible long-term effects on freedom of speech are more interesting than the riot itself. Speaking with Geoff Young, a US antiwar activist who ran for the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2012, and several times for the US House of Representatives, and Governor of Kentucky in 2015 and 2019, some additional insight can be added. He hasn’t won any elections yet, but he has discovered in campaigning how corrupt the Democratic and Republican Parties are when it comes to vote rigging. He currently has active lawsuits against both the Kentucky “Democratic” Party (KDP) and the Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK). Mr. Young, what is going on here? One just has to carefully evaluate the media, not only MSM. It’s easy to notice that the framing of the “domestic terrorism” issue is being promoted by public television and radio stations as well as the usual mainstream media corporations, most of which are openly biased in favor of the Democrat Party. As Glenn Greenwald wrote in a January 19, 2021 article called, “The New Domestic War on Terror Is Coming,” “The more honest proponents of this new domestic War on Terror are explicitly admitting that they want to model it on the first one. A New York Times reporter noted on Monday that a “former intelligence official on PBS NewsHour” said “that the US should think about a ‘9/11 Commission’ for domestic extremism and consider applying some of the lessons from the fight against al-Qaeda here at home.” Are they suggesting that the CIA should fire missiles from drones at members of the Proud Boys and Antifa without any kind of legal due process? Greenwald went on to note that “former Facebook security official Alex Stamos” emphasized “the need for social media companies to use the same tactics against US citizens that they used to remove ISIS (banned in Russia) from the internet — in collaboration with law enforcement — and that those tactics should be directly aimed at what he calls extremist ‘conservative influencers’.” Glenn Greenwald: “Meanwhile, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) — not just one of the most dishonest members of Congress but also one of the most militaristic and authoritarian — has had a bill proposed since 2019 to simply amend the existing foreign anti-terrorism bill to allow the US Government to invoke exactly the same powers at home against ‘domestic terrorists’.” In a recent airing of Frontline: American Reckoning – A PBS NewsHour Special Report, the narrator said within the first 30 seconds of the show: “Provoking a mob of his supporters, President Trump upended a long tradition of peacefully transferring power.” That anti-Trump framing continued throughout the entire 57-minute broadcast. Do you buy this narrative? There’s no real evidence that Trump ever incited his supporters to break into the Capitol, however, and quite a bit of evidence that he urged them to remain peaceful, nonviolent and loud. If that is the case, then the Democrats’ second impeachment of Donald Trump was as constitutionally and legally unsound as the first one. Both impeachments were exercises in pure partisan politics designed to benefit the fortunes of the Democrat Establishment and damage Trump and the GOP as much as possible. With social media and government agencies working in tandem to restrict foreign and domestic news, and to label journalists who are not toeing the US line as foreign agents, the First Amendment is under attack. President Biden has not expressed any interest in dropping all charges against Julian Assange. Was this a false flag? It is not at all clear who turned the loud, outdoor demonstration on January 6, 2021 into a riot in the Capitol Building. It could have been the Trump supporters, but it could also have been the Capitol Police, other anti-Trump security forces, international experts in color revolutions such as George Soros, the Trump-hating FBI, the Trump-hating CIA, or the DNC. If anti-Trump organizations were the ones who got the large rally to turn violent, the riot would have been a coup against Donald Trump as an individual, not against the American republic. One is reminded of what happened in 1933 – the burning of the German Reichstag. When the German parliamentary building went up in flames, Hitler harnessed the incident to seize power – and that means gaining control of the media and cracking down with laws “to protect society,” and the Constitutional Order (“Ordnung” in German). For this reason, it is not only appropriate but necessary to revisit history, because whenever citizens and politicians feel threatened by executive overreach, the Reichstag Fire is referred to as a cautionary tale. Young concludes, “It seems likely that the Democrats are using the January 6 riot as an excuse to impose something like martial law on the American people and to stifle all criticism of the incoming Democrat administration (or regime).” Analysis and Commentary It is doubtful that any expected FBI investigation into the causes of the riot will ever incriminate the FBI or crisis actors but the very talk may be used to invoke some kind of crackdown on those who “take exception” with the new government and its policies and methods. It should be noted that the PBS broadcast also examined the impact of President Donald Trump’s rhetoric throughout his presidency and the government’s missed opportunities to manage the spread of misinformation and the rise of domestic terrorism. These are valid issues to be discussed; however, all who supported Trump cannot be labeled as fringe groups, totally disgruntled or domestic terrorists. As Time Magazine so accurately describes, “Rolling back those freedoms has served in other countries as a prelude to authoritarianism, and it is easy enough to imagine a future US President deciding to label his opponents terrorists before stripping them of their fundamental rights.” It is an overreaction to be calling for a domestic war on terrorism. Nonetheless, it is easy to collectively take words and actions of Trump’s supporters, even when they renounce the results of a [supposedly] free and fair election and label such discontents as being against the Constitution or legal order. However, let us not forget the double standard, and how former President Trump attempted “to designate Antifa, a loose band of left-wing radicals, as a terrorist organization, a move that civil liberties groups successfully resisted. The larger purpose, however, appears to paint all those groups in the wake of the storming of the Whitehouse on any group which supported Trump, and label all those who will not recant their support as potential domestic terrorists or conspiracy theorists. Even PBS admits there have been double standards in how such breaches of government building are addressed. It would be nice to believe that freedom of speech will continue to mean that people are free to engage in certain forms of protected speech, including criticizing the government and politicians, without control or reprisal by the government, provided they don’t call for direct violence or overthrow. However, that may be short lived, and now Senator Dick Durbin, an Illinois Democrat, plans to reintroduce the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, which passed the House last fall but went nowhere in the Senate. Its purpose is to authorize dedicated domestic terrorism offices within the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to analyze and monitor domestic terrorist activity and require the Federal Government to take steps to prevent domestic terrorism. Biden is keeping to the script, by stating soon thereafter, “don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, {they were] domestic terrorists: It’s that basic. It’s that simple.” However, it is not that simple, in light of the emotions running high in the US. These words may come back to haunt him and his administration, as a self-fulfilling prophesy. And now Biden is just as guilty as Trump for dividing an already divided people, with his own fiery rhetoric: “No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently from the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol,” the president-elect said The timing and choice of wording is most inopportune and inappropriate, as much of what the US has accused other nations of doing, controlling media, and its people, is fast becoming a US production. In fact it is as if Biden is borrowing pages from Trump own play book. This does not come at at good time, with social media and government agencies working in tandem in restricting foreign news and domestic news, and labeling journalists who are not toeing-the-US line as foreign agents. There have even been instances of where native born US citizens have been sanctioned by the US Treasury Department simply for writing articles and publishing them on Russian media sites. All the while, the plurality of the US media is at its lowest point ever, controlled, manipulated, bought and paid for. There is no longer a fine line between news and blatant propaganda. Being labeled as part of a group that really believes that the US election result was tainted now may put you on a list for a visit from Homeland Security or some anti-terrorist organization. There was no Trump Era! He was merely a papier-mâché cut out puppet, and who out of his bottomless narcissism reined over the corporate media news and talk shows with his Mad Hatter Tweets, using the same Twitter that mobilized the Arab Spring masses to screw up their countries too, a pre-test before fanning it out on a declining ready for figuratively beheading much of the US domestic population over their political preferences. The post Trump period is being compared on PBS to post Civil War, “incitement of insurrection,” and “how US President Grant realized how the KKK was an essential threat to everything that had been achieved by that bloody war, and various commentators claim that that is what the Federal Government is now facing. Those who stormed the White House are described (43:00) as “white nationalists, and there is a need to aggressively pursue and root out this cancerous menace of white nationalism and the “kind of” white extremist militias that are really a functionally revanchist movement in American Society.” All things considered, and the swing of the pendulum, things will not get better with Biden anytime soon, maybe even worse, because the ruling elite in their “close knit societies,” have it all mapped out in detail. It appears as some of the Capitol guards let the fed agent provocateurs, and if some of the crisis actors just waltz right in … and keep in mind that the Reichtag Fire was not engineered by the guards circling and within the Reichtag. There are too many unanswered questions, just look at the US Congress, most of the powerful have been in office for over 50 years, and never leave office, and the newbies, especially in the Democrat party, are former military or CIA trained or Intel Democrats, young and frisky. It is a threatening time (even more than during Trump), and that era is fading; however, it seems America may be in for some rough times with the crackdown on civil liberties because of COVID and the NEW domestic terrorist label. Protecting the American people from themselves is the NEW doublespeak.

In future history classrooms, students will likely be told the tale of the tag-team assault on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn by the mainstream media and MPs.  It will be taught as a harbinger of what is erupting into the most pivotal crisis facing Western politics in half a century: the chasm between ordinary people and the elites.  We are seeing it with the Republican establishment’s failed efforts to derail the Trump train and the Democratic establishment’s more successful efforts to extinguish the Bern. This is an emerging contest in which the opposing sides are defined by an ever-growing wealth gap.  The two groups are now viewing each other as adversaries thanks in part to an internet and social media that exposes the disconnect between the mainstream media (MsM) narrative and what the masses feel.
Corbyn, the self-effacing, mild-mannered veteran activist who was elected with a larger mandate than any party leader in British history, and had pleaded for a ‘kinder, gentler politics’, has become the most media-persecuted politician since George Galloway protested the Iraq War.  While the right-wing press is expected to be harsh on a Labour leader, biased coverage of Corbyn crosses traditional boundaries, infecting centre-left papers as well. The MsM’s seeming contempt for the people’s decision gives pause to anyone who values democracy, whatever one’s ideological persuasion, whether you agree with Corbyn’s policies or not. The unrelenting bullying of the ordinary Party members’ choice of leader may even represent the death-throes of a ‘politico-media complex’ in futile denial that it has lost the hearts and minds of the masses. We may be witnessing the beginning of the end of what Noam Chomsky eloquently deconstructed in his Manufacturing Consent.
Since Jeremy’s historic victory, the MsM, seemingly in coordination with some MPs, have carried out hit and run attacks. Trawling the bottom of the barrel, they find what might otherwise be un-newsworthy statements or incidents and in unison, twist events to suit the prior agreed upon talking point: Corbyn is a bad leader. Defamation lawsuits are avoided by inserting phrases like ‘Corbyn seemed to’ or ‘appeared to’ before each outlandish accusation. Like any dishonest or poor debater, once the scurrilous claim, outright lie or flimsy argument is disproved by their opponents, they hastily move on to the next attack, creeping under the hitherto reliable darkness of public amnesia. The cynical objective of this approach is to sully the victim’s image by planting vague, amorphous negative associations in the public mind.
A recent London School of Economics study provided academic evidence of what many of us had observed since Corbyn’s election.  It found that 74% of newspaper articles on Corbyn did not include his views, or represented his views out of context, with media coverage generally de-legitimizing him as a political actor.
These techniques have been supported from inside the Party by McCarthyist witch-hunts which provide the MsM machine with an endless stream of victims being expelled, banned and suspended for crimes you never hear the full details of, that have been presided over by internal bureaucrats who have unclear authority and less clear mandates.
The techniques have paid off to some extent, reflecting a reality of the last half century described in Manufacturing Consent. As an Australian expat, I lived in Oxford, and up and down demographically diverse London suburbs, from Hampstead to Essex, from Kensington to Kilburn. I spoke to people of all walks of life and differing party loyalties.  Almost all liked Corbyn as a human being.  The few negative comments about him pre-referendum included ‘weak leader’ or ‘incompetent’. When pressed as to why, there was usually silence. When informed of his policies on the economy, foreign policy and social issues, there was often agreement, and if not, there was at least a repeating of the concession that ‘he’s a decent guy’. While their positive views toward Corbyn were due to his policies, record or values, negative associations seemed based on nothing more than the media’s assiduously repeated talking points.
After the referendum chaos, there was something more solid to hang on the embattled man, gleefully provided by Media Inc. People said either ‘he was weak/lazy in his campaigning for Remain’ or ‘he disingenuous as he was a secret Leave supporter’. When it is offered that, in the long line of politicians upon whom to heap Brexit blame, perhaps the guy who campaigned against it should be after those who made calculated political decisions to support it, my fellow converser usually remembers that people like Nigel Farage also exist.
On the inside, 172 MPs voted no confidence in Corbyn in a secret ballot, avoiding accountability to local party members. The puzzling arrogance and flippant dismissal of the public will was on full display when Ian Austin MP, who opposed an inquiry into the Iraq War at least three times, told Corbyn - who had protested against Saddam in the 80s when he gassed the Kurds and opposed the 2003 invasion (right side of history on both counts) - to “sit down and shut-up“ during his parliamentary apology following Chilcot. Politicians’ antipathy to Corbyn has been as consistent as JC’s record on Iraq. When he began his journey as leader New Labour stalwarts were wheeled out to express their dismay at an ‘unelectable’ being permitted to occupy such a hallowed seat.
However, in a shocking act of impertinence, Labour members chose someone who actually held the same views as them.  Corbyn won with a thumping majority of 59.5%, annihilating his closest rivals who received 19% and 17%, with the Blairite candidate bringing up the rear with 4.5%, suggesting a repudiation of New Labour.  Who would have predicted that members of a party built on a workers’ movement would have rejected an ideology that Margaret Thatcher referred to as her greatest achievement? Labour membership swelled to vote in Corbyn as old school ‘true believers’ returned to the fold, joining hands with millennials filled with indignation nourished through a bypassing of the MsM and reliance upon the internet which had exposed to them unjustness of the present reality.  In just the final 24 hours before the deadline, the Party received over 160,000 applications to vote. There were three surges in membership in 2015: one after the election, one after Corbyn entered the leadership race and another when he became leader.
100,000 people joined the Labour Party in the days after the coup was launched, most of them to support Jeremy.  Within hours’ notice, 10,000 people turned up to a pro-Corbyn Momentum rally next to the very Parliament inside which their deepest beliefs now seemed to occupy such low regard; a massive display of passion and sacrifice by people who can’t afford to take time off work, have families to look after and most likely live nowhere near Westminster.  Membership is set to reach 600,000, making British Labour the biggest social democratic party in the Western world.  This is what democracy looks like.
It’s not only Party members whose views are being studiously ignored by the MsM.  The actual electorate’s opinions are also seemingly irrelevant to media assessments of Corbyn’s electability.  In Jeremy’s tenure, Labour has won all four by-elections, including with increased majorities, performed better in local elections than under predecessor Ed Miliband and won the London and Bristol mayoralties.  Overall, polls show Labour trailing the Conservatives by a smaller margin, 4%, pre and post-referendum under Corbyn’s leadership than in the final months of Miliband’s tenure where it trailed by between 6 and 14%.
Additionally, Corbyn’s monumental popularity amongst Labour members and the explosion of membership numbers provides a key advantage in a country without compulsory voting: an enormous, enthusiastic army of volunteers to execute the all-important ground-game that carried Obama to victory twice. With the poor being underrepresented in voter turnout in Britain, this presents a significant electoral opportunity that can be tapped not through centrist pragmatism but via passionate supporters.  People, more than advertising, can convince people to get out and vote. And as the referendum’s colossal turnout proved, when they’re mad at the establishment, they’ll turn out in droves.
Given this and the example set by Bernie Sanders, you could only honestly describe Corbyn as definitively unelectable if you’d stumbled into the Large Hadron Collider and entered a parallel universe which combines Orwell’s 1984 and Seinfeld’s Bizzaro World. That or you obtain all your ‘news’ from the mainstream media, which has created its own Orwellian bubble.  Black is white, up is down. Victims of racism, and veterans sporting battle scars from a lifetime of fighting racism, are labelled bigots. Supporters of the elected leader are castigated for dividing the Party.  Politicians most in touch with the current popular anti-establishment mood are lampooned as relics of the past.
The MsM, reassured within its echo-chamber, has mistakenly continued to assume each one of us believes that all our neighbours buy this, that everyone else supports the officially sanctioned line and you’d be a tinfoil-hat-crackpot not to.  Instead, a thing called the internet and its social media component have empowered ordinary people to, at least to some extent, see what their fellow citizens really think and connect with them.
When thousands of indignant ordinary people launch criticisms of MsM and political elites on social media, they are dismissed as bullying trolls.  Those nakedly conspiring to destroy Corbyn maintain such a self-entitled mentality that they seem to expect him to drop to his knees and apologise to them for every tiny scratch they incur in the course of jamming knives into his back.
Like Bernie, Jeremy is an outsider in both policy and style: genuine, slightly scruffy, even being castigated to “put on a proper suit” during Prime Minister’s Questions.  He abjures the ruthless, focus-group talking points-led tactics of more polished operators; his mere existence enraging some because it shines light on their own vacuity.  He speaks openly about big issues that impact people’s daily lives. Corbyn’s rise signifies that the game has changed, that values and principles are now political capital, not political baggage. The baby-boomer almost stands out as a festering indictment of some of his colleagues who, through no fault of their own, came of political age in the post-historical 1990s when careerism filled the void left by idealism.
Like with Bernie in America and across the Western world, the people are not fighting for one man.  They are fighting for themselves, for each other and for those overseas who have even less say in the policies that may impact them most.  They are fighting for change.  Defaming, bullying, interrogating and tearing asunder the humble, elderly Jeremy Corbyn amounts to spitting in the face of the alienated masses he represents.  The manufacturing of consent is no longer consensual.  Now, what you do to Corbyn, you do to them.

Holy fuck, the Iowa Caucus
Okay so I want to break this down, mostly as a way to help myself make sense of it all.  If this helps other folks understand the time line of events, all the better.  My ‘sources’ are scattered and random, as I’ve been absorbing most of this stuff through osmosis and it’s super hard nailing down the ‘best’ link to something, given how fast all this is moving.
I will arbitrarily start my rant here.
BUTTIGIEG BLOCKS CRITICAL DES MOINES POLL
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/02/iowa-poll-swiftly-spiked-after-buttigieg-campaign-issues-complaint
Shortly before the Iowa Caucus was to begin, the CNN/Des Moines poll was set to release. This is, apparently, a very important poll that a lot of the mainstream media (MSM) had already scheduled a lot of coverage for, as it would be a good indicator of the final state of things just before the election.
Then, Buttigieg campaign blocks its release. Why?  Well, their campaign claimed that one of the pollsters may have not been giving out Buttigieg’s name while calling out.  Not for any nefarious reason, just what is basically an IT issue.  This alone isn’t really too bad.  And, in a vacuum, not really worth too much fuss over.  Like, I do think it’s a bit weird that CNN would let all that money/effort go to waste over a single campaigns minor complaint, but, still, whatever.
The fact that the poll ended up getting leaked and was very favorable to Bernie (and VERY unfavorable to Biden) is another small annoyance.  It would have probably helped get a bit of positive / surprise coverage shortly before the caucus.  But again, whatever.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/unreleased-final-iowa-poll-had-biden-in-fourth
Given what all ends up happening, it’s a just a prelude to some REAL hinky shit.
THAT FUCKING APP
So election day comes.  I and many others are tuned into various outlets.  We have the NYT and other vote trackers open, watching it all roll out.  Looks like it’s going good for Bernie.  Oh Boy!
Then, around 10PM, the numbers get pulled.  We’re told that some app that was being used to communicate the votes was messing up.  Numbers were going missing.  They aren’t adding up.  Tons of nonsense goes down.
The company that created the app is a company called Shadow (yes, really), which is part of a larger group called Acronym.  It is staffed by ex Clinton staffers and other failures closely tied to the establishment, so the app being a POS should not be a surprise to anyone.  Oh, and the company accepted over $42k from Buttigieg’s campaign.
https://www.truthorfiction.com/did-pete-buttigiegs-campaign-donate-42500-to-iowa-caucus-app-developer-shadow-inc/
It should be mentioned that this company and the people behind it will face no real repercussions.  Yeah ‘Shadow’ might go under, but and they might have temporarily lost a few contracts with the DNC.  But never underestimate how corrupt the democratic consultant class can be. They’ll be back to fuck some other shit up in no time.
Now, again, not trying to be conspiratorial here.  Maybe the vapid bougie fucks behind this had no ill intent.  Maybe their worst crime is being morons who did not test their software and accepted money unthinkingly.  But at the very least, their history as agents positioned against one of the front runners, and acceptance of money from one of the others, is a clear conflict of interest and should not have been allowed to happen.
Moving on.
BERNIE RELEASES INTERNAL NUMBERS, BUT BUTTIGIEG VICTORIOUS?
Sander’s campaign releases their internal numbers, showing they are leading by a solid 5 points.
https://twitter.com/reaIKevin/status/1224685920504504321/photo/2
The above is the best we had that night.
Then, Buttigieg ended up reporting that he was ‘victorious’.  This is obviously misleading at best, as he’d have no way of really knowing that.  It was just blustering.  An attempt to get ahead of the chaos and create The Narrative.
I won’t go into it right now, as this post is going to be long.  But, in the end, the truth is not nearly as important as what people believe.  If Pete can successfully insert the idea that he is winning, enough people won’t question it that you’ll gain some converts, regardless of it being untrue.  Now, MSM would (surprisingly!) criticize him, a bit, but not nearly enough to make it a bad play, strategically.  Pete is dangerous, because he’s the kind of guy that can identify an opening like this, see how it will play out, and shameless act on it.
When he got called out on it (again, surprisingly), he would later claim that he was being just being poetic / flowery, and didn’t mean to say that they had come in 1st and won, which is what victorious means. Pete’s lying, of course, because he is a liar who lies.
We’re getting head of ourselves.  Let’s see what happens the next morning...
CONTROLLING THE NARRATIVE
The party decides that they need to do a LOT of ‘quality control’, and it’s just too much to release all at once.  They need to do it small batches.  And the initial 62% they decide to first release excludes all the area’s where Bernie is doing the best.
https://twitter.com/joules1971/status/1225057375540916226/photo/1
Hey look, Pete’s fucking winning now (if you exclude all the poorer, urban, or minority focused areas)!  The numbers aren’t in yet, but it fits The Narrative, so who cares!
From then, past initial 62% release up to the 80-something-% yesterday, we at least have some data.  We can look past the noise and see that Buttigieg’s claim to victory is NOT based on the popular vote. It turns out that, even with the releases being poised against him, Bernie is still leading in both the 1st and 2nd round of voting.  The only thing he did not take is the SDE count, so they are end up tied for Delegates.  What are SDE’s?  They’re State Delegate Equivalents.  I’m not going to claim to understand how it works, as it is extremely arcane, but an easier way to think about it is that Bernie won the popular vote, but Buttigieg won some Iowa-based electoral college. And even there, is only winning by a slim margin.
It is very important to stress that the delegates from Iowa BARELY MATTER.  They’re not why Iowa is significant.  The reason we care at all is winning Iowa means you get positive press, and a news cycle dedicated to you.  Most voters do not pay much attention, and will generally vote for whoever they perceive to be winning.  And who they perceive to be winning is generally based on what the media tells them.
If the goal was to hurt whoever truly won the Iowa election, you would do exactly this.  You would you string along the release of info for as long as possible, so that either A) someone else gains the benefits of the election, based on misrepresenting, incomplete data OR B) folks stop paying attention.
Let’s stop and think.  A bunch of stuff has happened already.  Is it gross incompetence?  Or is there nefarious intent?  Both?  Does the DNC even deserve the benefit of the doubt, after all the shit that they are on the record pulling in 2016?
Let’s assume incompetence for now, and see if it’s even still possible to think that later.
The point is, Bernie was getting his (OUR) media cycle stolen, and Buttigieg is now starting to gain in the polls.
UH OH, MATH IS HARD!
It starts coming out that the totals we were getting were incorrect.

Bernie votes (and a few from Warren even!) were going to other candidates. Black Hawk County managed to break into the news cycle, but they were far from alone.

Turns out TONS of counties were seeing major discrepancies.  And, for some reason, all these errors and miscalculations were seeming to only break against Bernie.  In some areas, all of Bernie's votes going to fucking Deval or Steyer, who otherwise had basically no support.  The only reason we found out is because of local leaders that were smart enough to keep there own numbers, were paying close attention, and caught it.  If they hadn’t, we would have never known.  Now that’s what I call ~~~QUALITY CONTROL~~~~<3
I goes without saying that the DNC’s numbers at this point are EXTREMELY SUSPECT, and Bernie’s numbers are starting to look like they might be closer to the truth.  However, even with this blatant idiocy / corruption (your pick), Bernie still has the popular vote.
TOM PEREZ NEEDS TO RESIGN
That brings us to earlier today, 02/06.  97% of the votes are in.  Bernie is only down by 0.1 points in SDE’s, still will ahead in the popular vote, and we’re clearly going to win at this point.
https://twitter.com/micahuetricht/status/1225131303189852160
The remaining votes are coming from satellite locations, mostly minority groups.  These groups were pulled in by the Bernie campaign and with their support we would surely pull in that last 0.2 percent needed to win in EVERY metric.  There would be no way that the MSM or other campaigns could spin this.  Bernie Won!
Then, Tom Perez puts his foot down, sees Bernie Winning all these unfortunate, unforeseen issues, and decides it’s high time to pull the plug and start the whole thing over from the beginning.

Tom Perez, in case you don’t remember, has been in control of the DNC since 2017 but was an opponent of Sanders during the 2016, including him offering plans on how to best shiv Bernie that were discovered in the Podesta leaks.

Notably, he helped engineer the narrative that Bernie could only connect with white liberals (ie the Bernie Bros myth), which has been something the Bernie campaign has been able to successfully push back on until it is now not only untrue, but the exact opposite of the truth.  POC are the back bone of Bernie’s campaign!

ANYWAY, Tom Perez, sleazeball he is, decided to wait until just before we had crossed the finish line to pull this stunt.  This is a pretty transparent attempt to delay the results (and the left’s victory!) as long as possible.  It also achieves the goal keeping Pete out front and able to boost his polling going into the next states.  Which is so far working for them, gaining 6-9 points just this week in NH.

I don’t think anyone would be opposed to a recount, but there can be no reason to not release the last 3% (which they already had: (https://twitter.com/JennUWinn84/status/1225474355028746241).  It is overt, blatant corruption.
THE TAKE AWAY / WHAT DO WE DO?
- Don’t feel hopeless.  That’s what they want.
- It is super important that we not only win, but we need to win in CRUSHING numbers.  Because the DNC will pull every trick in the book to stop us, and we need to be ready.
- Paper. Fucking. Ballots.  You’re not a Luddite for wanting this.  It’s just the most practical, tamper-proof method. The app was a technocratic solution that was sold to the DNC, based on a problem they invented.
- More transparent oversight of our elections.   We invade South American countries due to electoral malfeasance with weaker pretenses then what just happened.
- Capitalists will always break fascist when confronted with the possibility of marginally higher taxes. ALWAYS.  For these reasons, If/When Bernie takes over the party, the DNC needs to be purged of EVERY LAST Reagan/Bush/Clinton era asset.  We don’t need them, they are not our allies, they will actively try to sabotage us, and for all these reasons and more unity with them is impossible.
- Do not play into the ‘VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO’ game.  It is not the time for that.  We are in the primary, and Bernie is the front runner.  The old arguments no longer apply, and no longer matter.
There are real fucking stakes here, and half/partial measures aren’t worth shit.  It doesn’t matter if YOU think you’re being principled by showing up to cast a vote for Bloomburg over Trump. Anyone other then Bernie will suppress the vote, full stop.  When people don’t vote, republicans win.  You will not be successful in holding poor / underprivileged people hostage and trying to activate them politically if all your promising them is the status quo, or wonky means tested BS.
- We’re winning!...
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-primary-forecast/
... But pretend we’re losing!  We can’t get complacent.
Ok that’s enough.  I have idea if anyone will read all this as I have like... four...? Followers?  Sorry for my rant, but it’s time to get politically engaged!
