Probably the last flower of the season for this climber Passiflora caerulea (blue passion flower, blue crown, common passion flower, flower of five wounds). It was on a garland of stems appearing over a garden wall to surprise me on the street.

On Passiflora...

There's definitely an interesting discussion to be had around the publication of unreleased art, and art preservation vs an artists right not to release work they don't want to be seen. Unfortunately the nuances seem to be completely lost on Instagram and Twitter.

I'm not entirely sure where my opinions personally fall on the matter...

From my personal perspective I definitely have older art/projects I'm embarrassed by and don't want to be seen. But I keep them posted because I know it had its fans... I just don't interact with it at all anymore. Not saying TF is embarrassed by it at all, just clarifying my own feelings on stuff like this.

However, I don't think it was right for certain individuals to hoard the album behind a $4000+ paywall. Especially the ones that profited by selling what was effectively stolen CDs. Tobias wasn't seeing a penny of that. The way it became a weird hyper expensive status symbol in parts of the community was genuinely kinda gross to me.

Really it's up to Tobias/ Spenkz Drama Pop on how they want to deal with it. We really don't need fans ripping into each other over the whole thing, as it's not really our business to be honest!

Anyway, To be clear:

You are not a "bad" or "entitled" fan for listening to it!

Now that it's out there enjoy it if you want to, or ignore it if you feel uncomfortable listening to it.

After discovering Passiflora it became crystal clear to me why Tobias was so passionate about that era. His dissatisfaction with the way nothing eventually came of it was practically palpable in that one interview. I'm familiar with the feeling, it sucks. But I hope he knows Ghost is just as brilliant of a project.
