Yk, the ones who make edgy self insert ocs, use gacha life, hoard terms for aesthetics- and that's not a bad thing, especially in h☆r eyes- you can bet it's gonna make zir own Tumblr blog the moment she first fronts- she's pretty chronically online.. In fact, one of the ways it processes h☆r emotions is to live blog them online.. Ze struggles a lot with insecurity, often having breakdowns about not feeling "good enough." Ze depends heavily on having a strong support system, whether that's insys or externally; it's hard to get close to her at the beginning, but once you do, you have a fiercely loyal friend who'll make you gifts (usually in the form of art), shower you in infodumps, oblivious to if you're actually interested or not, and will always get excited about anything you're excited about! Loosing people close to zir impacts h☆r deeply, and she's prone to spiralling with depression and anxiety when it happens and oh my god now I'm the one infodumping you don't want a novel I'll shut up now lol sorry.

• She's had small disagreements with everyone except Yeosang since they're both just soft babies with each other 🥺She bickers the most with Wooyoung but it's always just friendly banter, she actually hasn't fought with anyone (except some relationships issues with Mingi) since the intense Hongjoong fight

• After seeing her go into cardiac arrest right in front of his eyes, Hongjoong was so scared that he didn’t know how to deal with it, he simply bottled it up until after the concert. The fact that she was so nonchalant when they got back to the hotel, asking what everyone wanted for dinner was the final straw, he snapped because it reminded him that she was almost taken from them. There was also a lot of guilt involved since he was the one who gave the green light for her to perform, which was building up since Kingdom as he suggested she do the final stunt instead of San, which is how she broke her ribs

Hima never hid any injuries but has a tendency to downplay them a lot, which means that she did not tell anyone whenever the pain from the fractures bothered her and just passed it off as something normal for intense choreography. This worried Hongjoong so much because he feels very protective over her well being, always trying to protect her from every single chance of physical harm, checking in on her mental health often (although less nowadays since she's doing much better) so these intense emotions eventually came out as rage, but not against her, against himself for "not being a good enough leader" that his maknae nearly died

It truly stemmed from an innocent question about dinner but it was enough to trigger the day's events in his mind and he started off with; "Food ? Is that really what you're worried about right now ? Sure, let's all ignore the fact that YOU WERE FUCKING DEAD IN MY ARMS FOR 3 MINUTES"

a hard ask but list some reasons why you like limb enhancer peridot specifically !

it may be a hard ask, but it's also thought provoking!! this might turn into a whole ramble so i apologize in advance if it does end up being a huge ramble of disorganized thoughts about peridot.

ok so for a lil timeline context, i had started watching steven universe around april 2015, so at that point jailbreak was already out. i personally didn't fall in love with her until july of 2015, right around the time friend ship came out. i was fully obsessed with her until something at the very end of 2016 changed my life in a not so good way. my obsession with limb enhanced peridot had been dormant for years and is only starting to come back now because she kept popping up in my head again (somehow i knew i'd never truly get over her, so i wasn't too surprised i'd get into her again) and i decided to feed my nostalgia and search stuff about her up.

i like limb enhancer peridot specifically because she was at first seen as a threat and was moreso mysterious in her first few encounters but after more episodes came out, i saw she had a funny and goofy side to her despite being extremely smart. she is also really hot in my opinion so i quickly fell for her once i realized i had feelings for her.

also i always thought her limb enhancers were a really cool part of her design, so when those were taken away from her, i felt like it was a huge loss and for the longest time i was waiting for them to come back in a future episode but that never happened.

i also felt like after peridot lost her limb enhancers, her character slowly started to downgrade, and it got worse once she was finished being redeemed. it hurt to see someone so smart and useful with tech with a small goofy side be tossed aside to turn into comic relief. plus her becoming short always threw me off, because yeah i still loved peridot after that, but i always missed her limb enhancers, since they were a huge part of her. i loved the floating digits, i loved that she could make screens out of them, i loved that she could use them as a fucking HELICOPTER and she could also fire cannons. she could turn her floating digits into arrows like she did in catch and release pointing at the warp pad before her limb enhancers were sadly taken from her.

like, she was a mysterious, hot, seemingly evil woman, and i loved that so much about her. and then seeing a slightly goofy side like how she was in friend ship only furthered me falling for her. limb enhanced peridot was simply the peridot i fell in love with, the version of her i fell in love with, so that is why i like her specifically.

(also i love how they drew her in catch and release before they took the limb enhancers away… she's so pretty in that part of the episode even though she's panicking.)

i have multiple songs i associate with her! there was an old video on youtube about peridot that used the song "ghosts n stuff" by deadmau5 so that is a song i associate with her, "something better" by lady antebellum and audien was a lapidot song in my head (before they started interracting more on the show, i shipped lapidot back when peridot and lapis weren't super fleshed out yet. i don't ship lapidot much anymore after seeing what their relationship ended up being like later in the show, because it was way different from the dynamic i had for them in my head.). i'll be honest though, most of the other songs i associate with her aren't really what people would expect at all since i'd think about her when i listened to love songs, like the acoustic version of "adore" by jasmine thompson, for example. so not related to her character at all, but related to me being in love with her. i was yumeshipping even back then. there was also this mashup of "into you" by ariana grande and "diamonds" by rihanna that i'd imagine me being in lovey dovey scenarios with peridot when i listened to it back in 2016.

i used to have a lot more songs i associated with her in 2015/2016 but unfortunately the vast majority of that has been lost to time since i switched audio streaming websites years ago, unless i come across said songs again and recognize them somehow. i'd be interested in seeing your character playlist though, i'm always looking for more songs to make scenarios in my head about peridot lmao.

i also wrote and sang a few songs about peridot when i was younger, which are catchy af in my opinion and i still sing them to this day because they're that memorable but if i ever released them i'd forsure want to remaster them since those were recorded almost a decade ago.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #97

I had a sudden urge to create things today.

First, I arranged the amethyst-on-copper tree in a silicone sphere mold with some pebbles and some glitter. And then I filled the sphere mold with epoxy:

…I'm thinking about trying to sell this one, once it's ready. It'll still be a while though, because it's still gonna need like 48 hours to cure, and then I gotta sand it, and then reapply another layer of epoxy to remove any blemishes or any irregularities in the shape, sand it again, and then apply UV-resistant coating.

It's about 7 hours just to weave the tree, from cutting the wire to adjusting it to its final shape. It takes time to arrange it in the silicone sphere mold. It takes time to mix and pour the epoxy. Takes time for it to cure. Takes time to sand it, to re-epoxy it, sand it again, and then coat it with the UV spray. Between the hours and the cost of materials, it'll be easily a $300 orb, at least.

…But I don't really like that. That's a lot for a random orb, and mostly I make them because I like making them. So I'll do something like, "You can take it for however much you think it's worth." Or something to that effect. I'm very well aware that someone might come at me being all like, "Hurr hurr… then I'll give ya a penny for it, lolzzzz!!" And… well. Ya know. If they're that bitter and snarky about it, if they need to try to make me feel small and stupid in order to feel better about themselves, then at that point, they can just have it; maybe a spot of kindness might do 'em some good in the long run.

Anyway, after that, I finally got around to filling a much smaller sphere mold with epoxy. In this mold, I put a very tiny tree that I made of wire and red beads, some sand, and a little red glitter:

Finally, I finished weaving yet another tree. This one is peridot and strawberry quartz on bronze wire:

…I'm not really sure what else to write today.

Can't help but wonder what you're up to, over at the Edge of Creation. Wonder if you have enough to eat. Wonder if you're warm and safe. Wonder if you're trying to expand your horizons by listening to the memories and stories of other people. There's so much about your circumstances that I wish I knew.

…I wish, too, that there was anything I could do to help show you that there's more to this world than pain, loneliness, and despair. But all I've got are my silly little letters, my various derpy handicrafts, my weird little playlists, my random tasty snacks, and whatever photos I can take along the way. I think of you, and I think of all the suffering you're going through, and I feel… powerless. I wish that there was any way that my voice could reach you, even though mine is maybe not much of one.

I know you can't answer me, but I'll ask anyway: Do you listen to music while you're over at the Edge of Creation, sometimes? If so, what fills your ears? This is filling my ears today:

I finished a tree today, and so the post-creation emptiness is starting to set in. The despair that is knowing that you'll likely never receive any of what I've written to you is starting to set in. The crushing reality that I'll likely need to watch you be slain a second time is starting to set in. So maybe I'll Salt some Sanctuaries for a while until it passes.
