I love Abby so much I'm not letting her die EVER in my permadeath run. The girl has made it so far without a scratch, she's so strong no one is putting her down (rat king will be another story I feel like but we're not there yet).

I also need to say and I'm not stressing it enough but why the fuck is Abby so beautiful? There's NO reason to look this gorgeous, ma'am we need to focus on the Stalkers, not on the freaking photo mode!

So. Here's the thing about permadeath runs in videogames.

They can be one of the best experiences you can have when it comes to stakes and immersion.

But they're GOD AWFUL when you just want a game to chill and you're tired after a day of work.

I just lost a savefile due to this. Not even mad, just mildly disappointed in myself that I didn't stop to consider that playing a strategy game when tired wouldn't give me the soundest of performances.
