Neon Heat
Synopsis: In the pulsing heart of a Los Angeles bar, Katseye celebrates their hit Gabriela with drinks and laughter until Manon’s eyes lock onto Y/N, the tall, brunette DJ whose commanding presence sets her pulse racing. Drawn by an electric pull, Manon abandons her bandmates, offering Y/N a drink laced with unspoken promises.
Pairing: Katseye Manon Bannerman x DJ! Fem Reader!
Warning: Language, Dom Fem!Reader, NSFW. MEN and MINOR DNI
WC: 2.8k
The bar was alive with a chaotic symphony of thumping bass, clinking drinks, and laughter that echoed off the walls. Neon lights illuminated the room in electric blue and scorching pink, creating shadows across the crowd's faces. Katseye, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Manon had claimed a high-top table near the edge of the dance floor, creating a bubble of joy amidst the turmoil. Their most recent single, Gabriela, had soared to the top of the charts, prompting shots, shared anecdotes, and the wild abandonment that only comes with hard-earned success. Empty drink glasses covered the table as proof of their merriment, and the air was thick with the aroma of tequila, perfume, and possibilities.
Manon leaned back in her chair, her dark hair falling over her shoulders and a half-finished mojito sweating in her palm. Her eyes, sharp and restless, searched the room, not quite resting on anything until they came upon the DJ booth. Y/N stood there, illuminated by a solitary spotlight. The name was scrawled in strong white letters on a little sign pinned to the booth, but the woman herself drew attention. Y/N was tall, slim, and athletic, and he moved with confidence that bordered on arrogance. Her brunette hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, with strands falling free to frame a face of sharp angles and effortless beauty. She wore a fitting black tank top and ripped jeans that hugged her hips, with a leather jacket hung over one shoulder. As she packed her equipment, unhook wires and slipping vinyl records into a battered bag, Manon felt a tug, as if gravity was moving beneath her.
“You’re staring” Daniela teased, nudging Manon’s arm with a grin. Her voice was loud enough to cut through the music, drawing a laugh from Sophia.
“Who is?” Lara chimed in, following Manon’s gaze. Her lips curled into a knowing smirk. “Oh, the DJ. Damn, Manon, you’ve got taste.”
Manon rolled her eyes, but her cheeks flushed, betraying her. “I’m not staring” she said, taking a sip of her drink to cover the way her pulse quickened. “Just… observing.”
“Observing, huh?” Megan leaned forward, her eyes glinting with mischief. “Go talk to her before she dips. She’s packing up.”
Manon looked back at the booth. Y/N was definitely getting ready to leave, slinging her rucksack over one shoulder and exchanging a few words with the next DJ, a tall guy already fumbling with the turntables. Manon was startled when she saw Y/N go toward the bar, her stride intentional. The alcohol in her system three drinks in made her brave, melting away her inhibitions like ice in her glass.
“Fine” Manon said, downing the rest of her mojito in one swift gulp. The mint and rum burned pleasantly, steadying her nerves. “I’ll be back.”
Her bandmates broke into cheers, with Sophia raising her glass in a false salute as Manon slid off her spot. She brushed down her tight, black dress, which hugged her curves and terminated mid-thigh, leaving just enough to the imagination. The fabric felt like a second skin, giving her confidence as she moved through the crowd, her heels tapping across the polished floor. She could feel her bandmates' gazes on her, their laughter dissolving into the music, but her focus was fixed. Y/N was now at the bar, leaning on the counter, conversing with the bartender, a man with a sleeve of tattoos and a crooked smile. He handed Y/N a bottle of water, and she gave him a charming, easy smile.
Manon did not hesitate. She eased into the area next to Y/N, close enough for her arm to brush against hers, the contact purposeful and electric. Y/N turned, her gaze fixed on Manon's, and for a minute, the world shrank to just the two of them. Y/N's look was intense, a mix of curiosity and something deeper, which caused Manon's breath to catch.
“Hey” Manon said, her voice smooth despite the flutter in her chest. She leaned against the counter, signaling to the bartender. “Can I buy you a drink?”
Y/N’s lips twitched, a half-smile that was equal parts amusement and challenge. She tilted her head, her eyes flicking over Manon’s face, lingering on her lips. “My shift’s done, so I’m free to drink” she said, her voice low, with a rasp that sent a shiver down Manon’s spine. “But first, what’s your name?”
“Manon” she replied, her smile widening as she held Y/N’s gaze. “And you’re Y/N, right? Saw your name on the booth.”
Y/N nodded, her eyes narrowing slightly, like she was sizing Manon up. “Good catch. Alright, Manon, what’s the drink?”
Manon maintained eye contact as she ordered two neat whiskeys. The bartender slid the glasses across the counter, and Manon pushed one toward Y/N, her fingertips touching hers as she did so. The touch lingered, causing Manon's skin to tingle. Y/N did not back away, her gaze hardening as she accepted the glass.
“To new nights” Manon said, raising her glass, her voice laced with intent.
Y/N’s smile was slow, deliberate, and it sent a rush of heat through Manon’s core. “To new nights” she echoed, clinking her glass against Manon’s before taking a sip, her eyes never leaving Manon’s.
They fell into conversation, the words flowing as freely as the whiskey. Y/N was a regular DJ at the pub, spending her time spinning tunes and making beats in a small studio she had set up in her apartment. Her enthusiasm for music was clear in the way her eyes lit up when she talked about it, her hands gesticulating animatedly as she detailed her most recent work. Manon listened intently, but there was more than just Y/N's words that captured her attention. It was the way Y/N leaned in, her knee brushing against Manon's under the counter, the contact being subtle but deliberate. Manon pushed her leg back in a silent challenge, and Y/N's lips quirked, acknowledging the game.
“You’re not subtle, are you?” Y/N said, her voice dropping lower, her eyes glinting with amusement.
Manon laughed softly, her own voice teasing. “Why should I be? You’re not exactly playing coy either.”
Y/N’s gaze darkened, her leg pressing more firmly against Manon’s. “Fair point. I like bold. Suits you.”
The air between them crackled, thick with unspoken promises. Manon could feel her bandmates staring from their table across the room, their questioning looks searing into her back, but she didn't care. Y/N's world had shrunk as her fingers touched the rim of her glass, and her eyes seemed to strip Manon bare with each glance. The tension was palpable; they were both walking a tightrope, and all Manon wanted was to see where it led.
“Wanna get out of here?” Manon asked, her voice steady despite the way her heart pounded.
Y/N didn’t answer right away. She leaned back slightly, studying Manon with an intensity that made her feel exposed, vulnerable, and impossibly turned on. Then, without breaking eye contact, Y/N slid off her stool, her hand grazing Manon’s wrist as she stood. “My place is three blocks away. You coming?”
Manon's lips parted, and a wave of adrenaline passed through her. She put a couple bills on the counter for the drinks and followed Y/N out of the bar, the cool night air refreshing her skin after the heat of the crowd. She didn't look back at her bandmates, she didn't need to. They'd figured it out based on the way she'd been looking at Y/N throughout the night.
Their way to Y/N's flat was a spin of neon signs and rapid steps, their shoulders brushing as they went through the metropolis. Y/N didn't say much, but her presence was dominating, with her hand periodically stroking Manon's lower back to direct her around a curve. Each touch shot a spark through Manon's body, and her anticipation grew with each stride. The streets were alive with the hum of Los Angeles at night, with cars honking and music spilling from neighboring bars, but Manon's attention was drawn to Y/N, the way her hips swayed and the way her leather jacket reflected the light.
Y/N's flat was on the third story of a small building that blended into the urban sprawl yet seemed like a haven once you entered. The area was modest but well organized, with records neatly piled on shelves, a turntable in the corner, and fairy lights providing a soft glow on the exposed brick walls. The air smelled faintly of cedar and leather, which was obviously Y/N. A small couch lay against one wall, behind a coffee table strewn with empty coffee mugs and a notebook written with lyrics.
As soon as the door clicked shut, Y/N turned to Manon, her gaze dark and focused. She moved closer, squeezing Manon's space, and Manon felt her breath catch as Y/N's hand gripped her waist and drew her in. Their lips came together, the kiss intense and frantic, all teeth and tongue. Manon's hands tangled in Y/N's hair, tugging gently, and Y/N whimpered into her mouth, causing a surge of heat between Manon's knees.
Y/N’s hands were everywhere, sliding under Manon’s dress, gripping her hips, her thighs, her ass. The fabric bunched up as Y/N pushed her backward, guiding her toward the bedroom without breaking the kiss. Manon’s back hit the doorframe, and she gasped, the sound swallowed by Y/N's hands were everywhere, sliding beneath Manon's dress and squeezing her hips, thighs, and ass. The cloth bunched up as Y/N pushed her backward, pushing her toward the bedroom while maintaining the kiss. Manon's back smacked the doorframe, causing her to gasp, which Y/N swallowed as she pressed herself closer, pressing Manon against the wood. Y/N’s mouth as she pressed herself closer, her body pinning Manon’s against the wood.
“Bedroom” Y/N murmured against her lips, her voice rough with want. It wasn’t a request.
Manon nodded, her hands fumbling with the zipper on Y/N's leather jacket as they staggered inside the room. The room was faintly lighted, with the glow of fairy lights streaming in from the living room. The bed was unmade, the sheets twisted, but Manon barely noticed until Y/N's hands were on her again, pulling her down into the mattress.
Manon landed softly, her dress running up her thighs as she supported herself on her elbows. Y/N stood at the foot of the bed, her gaze searching Manon's body with a need that made her skin flush. Y/N took off her jacket, allowing it to fall to the ground, displaying a tight black tank top that hugged her toned arms. She resembled a predator, and Manon was more than prepared to be her victim.
“You’re fucking gorgeous” Y/N said, her voice low and deliberate as she climbed onto the bed, straddling Manon’s hips. Her hands slid up Manon’s thighs, pushing the dress higher until it was bunched around her waist, exposing the black lace of her underwear. Y/N’s fingers traced the edge of the fabric, teasing, and Manon’s hips bucked involuntarily, a soft whimper escaping her lips.
“Eager, aren’t you?” Y/N murmured, leaning down to kiss Manon’s neck, her teeth grazing the sensitive skin. Manon tilted her head back, giving Y/N better access, her hands gripping the sheets as Y/N’s lips moved lower, kissing and biting a path down her collarbone.
“Please” Manon breathed, her voice trembling with need. She wasn’t used to this being so out of control, so desperate. But Y/N’s dominance, the way she took charge without hesitation, was unraveling her in the best way possible.
Y/N pulled back just enough to look at Manon, her eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and desire. “Please what?” she asked, her voice teasing as her fingers continued to trace the edge of Manon’s underwear, dipping just beneath the lace. “You gotta tell me what you want, Manon.”
Manon’s cheeks flushed, her body aching with need. “I want you” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I want you to touch me.”
Y/N’s smile was wicked, her fingers pausing just long enough to make Manon squirm. “Oh, I’m gonna touch you” she said, her voice dripping with promise. “But you’re gonna have to beg a little louder than that.”
Manon’s breath hitched, her body trembling with anticipation. “Please, Y/N” she said, her voice stronger now, desperate. “I need you. Please.”
Y/N didn't keep her waiting much longer. She quickly hooked her fingers under Manon's underwear waistband and pulled it down. The cool air contacted Manon's skin, causing her to shudder, but this was swiftly replaced by the heat of Y/N's mouth. Y/N did not tease or ease her into it, instead, she dived in, her tongue locating Manon's clit with such precision that Manon's back arched off the bed. A loud and unfiltered moan from her throat as Y/N's lips and tongue stroked her over, relentlessly and skillfully.
Y/N's hands grasped Manon's hips, keeping her still while she squirmed, her body responding instinctively to the intense pleasure. Y/N's authority was evident in the way she commanded the tempo, her moves assured and unwavering. She didn't stop, didn't give Manon a chance to regain her breath, and Manon loved every moment of it.
“Fuck, Y/N” Manon gasped, her hands fisting in the sheets as Y/N’s tongue flicked and swirled, driving her higher with every second. Y/N’s fingers joined her mouth, sliding inside Manon with a slow, deliberate thrust that made Manon cry out, her hips bucking against Y/N’s hand.
“You like that?” Y/N murmured against her, her voice muffled but teasing, the vibration sending another wave of pleasure through Manon’s body. “Tell me how much you want it.”
“I want it so bad” Manon whimpered, her voice breaking as Y/N’s fingers curled inside her, hitting just the right spot. “Please, don’t stop.”
Y/N chuckled, the sound low and wicked. “Oh, I’m not stopping” she said, her lips brushing against Manon’s clit as she spoke. “Not until you’re screaming my name.”
Manon's head dropped back, her body trembling as Y/N's tongue and fingers worked together, pulling her closer to the edge with each movement. The sensation was tremendous, like a tidal wave growing inside her, and she couldn't stop the cries and gasps that flowed from her lips. Y/N was unrelenting, her dominance a force Manon entirely submitted to, her body arching and writhing at her touch.
“Y/N, I’m gonna—” Manon’s words cut off in a cry as the orgasm hit, her body convulsing as pleasure ripped through her. Her hands flew to Y/N’s hair, tugging hard, and Y/N groaned against her, the vibration drawing out Manon’s climax until she was a trembling, gasping mess beneath her.
Y/N didn't stop, her tongue and fingers moving slowly but steadily, eliciting every last shakes from Manon's body. When she finally pulled back, her lips were puffy, and her eyes were dark with pleasure. She crept up Manon's body, kissing her deeply and allowing Manon to taste herself on her lips. The kiss was slower but no less powerful, and Manon melted into it, her body still buzzing from the shocks.
“You’re incredible” Manon whispered when they broke apart, her voice hoarse.
Y/N smirked, brushing a strand of hair from Manon’s face. “You’re not so bad yourself” she teased, her fingers trailing down Manon’s side, possessive and tender at the same time. “But we’re not done yet. You think you can handle more?”
Manon’s breath caught, her body already responding to the challenge in Y/N’s voice. “I can handle anything you give me” she said, her voice steady despite the way her heart raced.
Y/N’s eyes darkened, her smile predatory. “Good girl” she murmured, the words sending a fresh wave of heat through Manon’s core. She kissed Manon again, her hands roaming, and the night dissolved into a blur of pleasure and surrender.
They did not stop there. Y/N's dominance carried them through round after round, each one more intense than the previous. She was aggressive and teasing, constantly pushing Manon to the brink and drawing her back to see how much she could take. Manon begged, her voice raw with desperation, and Y/N relished it, her orders sharp and her touch unwavering. They tested every inch of each other, their bodies sticky with sweat, and the room echoed with their gasps and screams.
By the time they collapsed, exhausted and satisfied, the first rays of dawn were visible through the window. Manon lay snuggled up against Y/N's side, her head resting on Y/N's chest, listening to her heartbeat. Y/N's arm was stretched over her, possessive even in sleep, and Manon felt an unexpected warmth, a connection that went beyond the physical.
As she drifted off, her final thought was of the bar and the moment she saw Y/N across the room. She had no idea that a single glance would result in this, a night that would leave her breathless and wanting more. But, as she closed her eyes, she realized she wouldn't swap it for anything.
A/N: Hi pee! this is my first time doing some request, i hope the person requested this will love it, and also if you have request just drop it on my ask or dm. thank you! 💌

a machine and its engineer
(drabble below)
“What’s wrong?” was the first thing out of Ari’s mouth, once they regained their composure. When they tried to sit up, the claw pressed more firmly upon their chest. The cables winding through the limb still swayed from how swiftly it’d moved to pin them. Behind it, lined up like soldiers, were more, all of the same complexity but differing in exact termination and number of digits. The conveyor belt they oversaw was empty of all but dust.
“I did not hurt you, did I?” the building asked, from some far-away vocal apparatus in the corner of the room hidden by darkness.
The three-pronged claw had come at them from the darkness without warning and all but shoved them down. The thought that the Nexus could still move those limbs had never crossed their mind until one spun to life to reel right at them. “I’m—fine. Scared the life out of me.”
“Apologies.” When they pushed against it again, it let up a bit, allowing them to prop up on their hands. They stared up at the darkness, at rows of shiny metal appendages built for some purpose long-forgotten by anyone but the steel and cabling itself. “There is broken glass here. Reactivation of my manual control mechanisms also fed electricity here, so there are live wires. The work to be done here is unsuitable for one person, and you do not know the proper safety precautions around this heavy machinery—”
It droned on about warnings, while Ari focused on the mechanism still exerting a notable force upon them to keep them listening. A bit hard, while they stared down the barrel of the great heaving masterwork of machinery, extended outwards toward them. They felt the give of the prongs against their ribcage with every breath they took. The fabric of their boilersuit pinched and ruffled in the claw joints. If it moved up just a few more inches, it’d be on their throat.
“—is nonessential, so I see no reason for you to be in this sector,” the Nexus concluded. “Do you agree?”
Ari, who tuned out the majority of that one-sided conversation in favor of gawking at the beautiful machine before them, nodded without question. It did not let go. Their mouth was suddenly very dry when they found their tongue again. “I—yeah, I agree.”
The arm released them and returned to its original resting position without fanfare.

On Keeping Time
To run a simple program, a computer needs some kind of storage, and some kind of input/output device. To run a simple operating system, a computer will also need some random-access memory for holding onto information temporarily. To run a sophisticated operating system that supports many users and programs reliably, a computer will also need some way to make sure one user doesn't hog resources and prevent other users' programs from running.
My Wrap030 homebrew computer currently has a flash ROM which holds a bootloader program from starting other programs from disk. It has 16MB of RAM. It has 9 total serial ports for I/O. It just needs that last thing to be able to run a sophisticated operating system.
I've written before about how computers can share a single processor between multiple users or programs. The simplest option is to have each program periodically yield control back to the system so that the next program can run for a little while. The problem with this approach is if a program malfunctions and never yields control back to the system, then no other program can run.
The solution is to have an external interrupt that can tell the CPU it's time to switch programs. Each program can be guaranteed to have its chance to run because if a program tries to run too long, that interrupt will come to force a switch to the next program.
The way this is typically accomplished is with a periodic timer — ticking clock that interrupts the CPU regardless of what it's doing.
And that's what my Wrap030 project is missing. I need a timer interrupt.
The catch is, my system has always been a little fragile. I have it running well right now with three expansion boards, but there's always a risk of it being very unhappy if I try to add another expansion board. If I could somehow pull a timer interrupt out of what I already have, that would be ideal.
Nearly all of the glue logic pulling this system together is programmable logic in the form of CPLDs. This gives me the flexibility to add new features without having to rework physical circuitry. As it happens, the logic running my DRAM card currently consumes under half of the resources available in the card's CPLD. It also has several spare I/O pins, and is wired to more of the CPU bus than any other chip in the system.
So I added a timer interrupt to my DRAM controller.
It is very minimal — just a 16-bit register that starts counting down every clock cycle as soon as it's loaded. When the timer gets to 1, it asserts one of those spare I/O pins to interrupt the CPU.
And all it took was a couple bodge wires and a little extra logic.

I put together a quick test program to check if the timer was running. The program would spin in a loop waiting to see if a specific address in memory changed. When it changed, it would print out that it had, and then go right back into the loop. Meanwhile, the interrupt service routine would change the same address in memory every time the timer expired.
This is great! It was the last significant piece of hardware I was missing to be able to run a proper operating system like Unix or Linux — which has always been a goal of the project. While I still have much to learn before I can attempt to get a proper OS running, I can still put this new timer to use.
I had previously built my Multibasic kernel to run cooperatively. Each user instance of BASIC would yield control whenever it needed to read or write to its terminal (which it does at every line while running a BASIC program, checking for the Ctrl-C stop sequence). This worked well enough, but a particularly complex BASIC program could still slow down other users' programs.
Converting my Multibasic kernel from Cooperative multitasking to Preemptive multitasking was actually fairly easy. I just needed to initialize the timer at startup, and add an interrupt service routine to switch to the next user.
(It's not really something that can be seen in a screenshot, but it's doing the thing, I promise.)
Now that I have all of the requisite hardware, I guess I need to dive into learning how to customize and build an operating system for a new machine. It's something I have always wanted to do.

Moltendreams - Error Sans Alias - Static Pronouns: he/him, they/them Personality: Petty, holds a mean grudge, Big Tsundere, Complete Shut-in, Quick Tempered and Moody, fanatic with his interests, externally aggressive when in actuality he is quite shy. An absolute troll. His favorite passtime is messing with others. Paradoxically touch starved and suffers from haphephobia. Reckless with his own well being.
This variant of Error is capable of both love and compassion, he just hides it under a grumpy exterior and several layers of denial and self-destructive dogma. Other Notes:
Reluctant to harm Papyrus directly, though Static can't articulate why, and will generally avoid encounters Papyrus in any given AU.
Had a good relationship with his dad/W.D Gaster, actually.
Relates to "pest" pets; rats, mice, snakes, spiders, beetles, he loves them all.
Would have a pet rat of his own if he wasn't afraid of it shocking itself by chewing on his wires.
His favorite kind of chocolate is mixed with a hazelnut filling.
Views Frisk as a younger sibling.
Into Parkour.
-More Info undercut! -
Abilities: Static uses wire instead of string. Wire and summoned attacks can and do hold an electric charge. His presence alone messes with electronic devices. Residents of a particular AU may get a few minutes or seconds of warning as sweaters get staticy, computer screens glitch out, and anything with a battery spontaneously dies or gets super charged. By creating a circle of alternating RED and CYAN bones, Static creates a sort of reverse faraday cage. While Static can produce electricity, he can't directly control the voltage. He can only hope to direct it. The voltage of a charge is directly influenced by his emotional state. If you touch him, you will find his clothes zappy with static. Do NOT attempt to fight him in humid or watery environments for, hopefully, obvious reasons.
About: Static originates from a pre-Pacifist timeline that was followed by a looping Genocide Route. Through repetitive iterations, and an escalating instability in the timeline, the monsters of the underground began to recall events they didn't witness and memories they shouldn't recall.
Working together, Static, at that point still Sans, and Alphys were able to pin point the root cause of their timeline's instability. They made a plan to save the underground and separate Frisk from the Anomaly but when it came time to execute their plan something went catastrophically wrong. As a result Sans was torn from reality, and caught in the space in-between. Eventually, he escaped but not unscathed. Static has vague conflicting memories of his past, and to this day, questions if any of it was real. He can't find his original AU and secretly fears it may have been the first world he destroyed. He is still looking for it.
Outcode Politics: Static views all outcodes the same way he views every iteration of the original timeline that even slightly deviates: as glitches to be terminated. Bugs in the code he needs to hammer out before it all goes to hell. Static believes that by destroying deviating timelines and AUs, he is preserving the stability of the original. He is “saving’’ it from corruption by trimming the branches back. Despite his position as the self proclaimed Destroyer, Static is not above biases and making exceptions.
Static includes himself on his long list of glitches in the code to be terminated. Static has a different view on the Spirits of Creation that Fable/Ink does. (Spirits of Creation are the in-universe term and stand-in for the creator of an AU). He calls them eldritch parasites. Abominations that should be avoided at all costs. And absolutely should not be encouraged or interacted with. Though he won't admit it out loud, Static is terrified of them.
