I joined a dnd game my friend was running and couldn't resist making sprites for everyone

Played a game of DnD recently. I'm a chaotic netrual haunted one undead lizardfolk named Forf, and joining me are Gronk, a street smart turtle bard, seen here, a assimar, and a tiefling.

Got bored last night and made some more up to date pixel art things of the dnd crew. Did a read more to save your dash from a wall

First up, one of the rogues, Veiraen. Ex political prisoner and sometimes stabber. Let a lizardfolk eat one of his fingers when drunk, has tested poisons out on most of the party without their consent. Currently has died 3 times, but he got better.

Next up, rogue the second. Emmi. Daughter of a well loved ship captain following in her fathers footsteps. Recently remembered her whole life was a lie and her mother had Emmi's memories altered, known to pull a crazy ivan in ship to ship combat, learned how to torture people but she can't tell or show anyone.

This is Whisky, she is a hard drinking monk/ex circus performer who may or may not have been a slave at one point. Recently went through a hell of a growth spurt from 2ft to 6ft because magic. Just wants everyone to be friends, but will 100% beat your arse if the urge arises

The cleric, Eridol aka my sweet gnomish baby boy. Once melted an orcs head clean off his shoulders, is normally covered in some kind of gore, only wants to take a nap and may or may not fully intends to make fantasy landmines

This is Septima, our warforged druid. He's a fucking snitch who is constantly running chaos.exe. Tried and succeeded to befriend a group of direwolves that now patrol our keep as security, frequently powers down in the most inconvenient places, t-posing to scare whoever finds him

This is Core, he's our ... benefactor/handler? Dude's a government official put in charge of herding us towards things. Used to be a respectable figure, now he's a somewhat respected figure who day drinks and smokes fantasy weed to cope because of us.

This is Drackuss. Fuck this guy. He's not allowed to sit with us anymore after a failed attempt to kill everyone because the god of murder started whispering in his ear. Used to be a paladin, but lost his divine connection because of Eridol. His sword ate a fire elemental once

I wanted to see what it'd look like. Tweaked the dialogue just a tad so it fits more with the rise characters. Realistically, I'd have to squint really hard to be convinced this exact scenario would happen with the rise turtles. Mainly bc Leo can portal. Draxum can portal. THE FOOT can portal. Donnie would not need to build a portal machine. Ahem anyways. I wanted to mess around with color.

Dont worry y’all, he’s not dead.

Its been exactly one year since I made this. This was the first animatic I made with rise. Technically a repost from twitter, since i wasnt on tumblr when i made this. I held off posting here when I did make the switch bc…reasons. Its kinda weird looking back on this animatic. Its somewhat of a time capsule for me bc THIS IS 100% PROJECTION. I made this one afternoon in response to what was going on in my life at the time. Draw your feelings to cope and all that jazz. I wanted to reshare this bc 1) archiving reasons 2) show how much ive improved from this 3) ok maybe i still think i did a good job with it and 4) Im ready to share part 2 that ive kept hidden for an entire year. Nobody has seen the follow up animatic. Not even my bestie. It’ll give more context to this animatic, but i also like the idea of this one standing on its own and that anyone can interpret it however they like.

Oh hey, this was my first time animating in procreate as well? Back when i didnt know you could use group layers to animate in procreate HA.
