I think this will mostly depend on what's available when I get to the point of having everything I need for them, and if I find a breed I get super attached to. current breeds I'm interested in are pixiebobs, siberians, and ragdolls, but I've also been interested in tuxedos and mackerel tabbies.

I'll admit I am a bit frustrated with the local shelters. they don't seem to update their websites, which is the main way I've been looking recently.
