... Yknow I think, I think we're getting to the point where we need like. Regular nicknames for the og listeners. Like this isn't an issue for freelancer or doc or tank, but like.

These people are starting to intermingle and I just feel like lovely, angel, babe, sweetheart and treasure all deserve an identity to be called by other people that's not just "this person's love interest".

I don't think it'd even be hard to do, since they're all talking to each other now. Like. IDK, mates group chat comes up with silly nicknames for all based on a friend outing. Lovely and Treasure hang out and give eachother bestie nicknames. Yknow, normal ways people get nicknames regularly. It doesn't even have to be particularly deep, I once got named Soup by an entire classroom's worth of people because I made a bad soup related joke.

I just want these characters, because they Are characters, to be able to have relationships with people other than their love interests and that's just hard when they don't have a Name.

The tragedy of Jace Stardiamond isn’t that he was compelled into villainy or that he is just another one of Porters victims, but that it never mattered either way, because he was truly irrelevant to the narrative. Man was doomed to be a plot device from day one.

this theory is probably a reach, but back in freshman year, when fabian asked bill about the harpy and the replica with real cursed wood, bill made it clear that he never wanted it anywhere near seacaster manner. one of the reasons the previous elven oracle was unable to predict the storm/the ship sinking was the illusory magic that the ship was imbued with.

iirc, we never learn what happened to the replica after it’s first brought up, which makes me wonder if a. the rat grinders somehow got a hold of it and planted it during the party (plus some other stuff to make the curse of the harpy go to seacaster manor) or b. the replica has been in seacaster manor the whole time and the magic eventually seeped out causing the manor to be affected

if i had a nickel for every time an animated show had a token "black best friend" who didn't contribute much to the plot and was sidelined in favor of the other characters, i'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

I just re watched Everything Changes

and idk if this has been said before or is just taken as given, but I’ve just realised, I think Jack planted the weevil.

So he knows Gwen saw the glove work - and beeing the only officer there who paid them any bother seems this does not happen often. So he’s left with someone who’s Interested in them with (high)possibility of them doing further digging.

Cut to next morning where he calls in the “chemicals” at the hospital and seals off that corridor.

(This is where it gets tenuous) He either does the above when he hears Gwen is injured - this would call for a break in time from her getting injured to going to the hospital; this is possible like if she made some bar fight arrests and got send to hospital after processing. Or he orchestrated the injury; this one is unlikely but not 100% impossible lol.

What leads me to believe he did plant the weevil, however, is that when Gwen sees him at the hospital and inevitably gives chase; the team miraculously bust out into the corridor when the porter gets bitten! They had to have been there the whole time imo (again alt. is that that is just when they arrived and the doors they busted out of weren’t rooms like I think but other ways of entering the corridor)

Had the porter not been killed what was his plan? Maybe he was intending on retconning her after the weevil sighting? Did he want to see how far she’d go once she’d got a glimpse of the glove? What does everyone think?

Finally watched this week's episode of Fantasy High WOW that was a lot of things getting put together and *oh*

Buddy was brought in to be the Champion of Ankarna once Lucy refused and Kipperlily knew this! She's stealthed, in the last stand, watching the Bad Kids kick ass (infuriating), and then fucking. The other nominee for student council president. Her bodyguard??? Is riding a fucking battle steed and smiting tied to that god you're trying to turn your teacher into -

Not who Kipperlily would have picked as Champion but guess who's redundant now, hayseed.

Due to her actions of following Elliot she has been threatened and her son as well. One night while investigating Kathy’s death they are discovered and he dies while Liv is transported to witness protection to recover. But the whole world thinks Olivia Benson is Dead , so where is Noah ? But with his Uncle Rafa . In the events of her passing she leaves her son to her best friend.

So like it could have his mom in it and discuss how him living in her house for Noah is harming his mental health .And have him be upset because he never told her . Then like on the day the trail happens and she comes back they go out for drinks have a nice moment. She goes to the bathroom and sees a person flirting with Barba and backs off, she rationalizes that caught upon the memories.

However when it comes to the home front getting reinstated not an issue coming home and Rafa / possibly dad or even papi leaving doesn’t go over well. We can even get a moment when an upset and unruly Noah says I wish you didn’t come back and yeah.

This is the plot bunny 🐰 in my head can someone please try and make this a coherent story.

What is it that the Rat Grinders actually want exactly? Or at least, what does Kipperlilly want since she's the one we know the most about.

At the top of the season it seemed like she wanted to Be The Best at school and Be Recognized in a very Tracy Flick/Sara Berry kind of way and was just going to crazy lengths to get there because this is a world where you help a dragon kidnap girls so you can be Prom Queen and life goes on. But now we know that the Rat Grinders are a part of Porter's larger plan and one of the major steps of that plan is completely abolishing Aguefort as an institution.

It's clear what Porter gets out of this. He gets to be a god and he gets to continue his imperialistic family legacy. And I would maybe get what Kipperlilly would get out of this is she were the Cleric/Paladin of the plan. She'd get to be the new god's champion, like she was gushing to Lucy. That's maybe worth something to an achievement hunting, Type A individual.

But she's not gonna get to be the best student at Aguefort if Aguefort doesn't exist anymore. Hell, Elmville won't really exist anymore. Is Porter planning on opening a new Adventuring School in Rage Elmville and she gets to be the god Principal's pet? Does she think he's gonna make things "fair" for her somehow? How? Retroactively killing her parents? Does she want to use the powers she cheesed from the easy XP he drip fed her to be a renown adventurer? Kinda hard to pull that off when everyone knows you were part of the plan that doomed the town. Maybe she thought they were going to get away with it without being implicated? Does she literally not want anything other than a chance to kill the Bad Kids? Or even pettier, to just to be stronger than Riz? Is that worth it to her? To damn the whole town just so she can say that she beat Riz once? Did she want something concrete at one point but at this point she's just lost in the sauce and doing whatever the next task is without knowing what she'd even do with a victory if she got it? Did she already get what she wanted in the free XP and now she's just paying her end of the bargain?

I'm just very unsure about what her version of a happy ending is here.

Brennan can slap as many big red stickers that say “evil” onto Porter as he wants I will always derive more enjoyment from the idea that Jace is evil but knows that he comes across as infinitely more unassuming when standing next to the scary strict barbarian and thusly used him as a scapegoat until the day we get the actual reveal.

“With the wards lifted.. you can come home?” Jace doesn’t mean for his voice to peak, but he quietly curses to himself when it does. Playing with fire was an understatement.

Or a Post-canon fix-it fic In which Jace wants to put his life back together and Porter will do anything to be a part of it.
