no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

Fever Whump Details

Being just as — if not more — uncomfortable closing their eyes and resting as they are keeping them open; because every time they close their eyes, they get caught in a never-ending loop of thought that is just incomprehensible enough to manifest itself as a brightly-colored whirlwind behind their eyes that is more of a bad trip than a fever dream.

Being unable to breathe through their nose forces them to breathe through their mouth, which leads to their becoming severely dehydrated, which leads to feeling nauseous and like their heart is moving their entire body with every beat.

Not being able to talk, but having just enough energy to periodically swear under their breath and say “oh god”

Not being sure if they have a stiff neck from the fever itself, or from pretzeling themselves into uncomfortable positions because of the discomfort

Regretting their life decisions

Feeling like their eyes are getting cooked in their skull because they’re so hot

Knowing they need to spread out their limbs and cool off; but being unable to get their body to stop shoving their hands down their pants or into their armpits to seek warmth

Still being painfully thirsty no matter how much water they drink

Getting nauseous from drinking water

Chugging apple cider vinegar water to get rid of the flu and then having the most awful acid reflux an hour or two later

Having a scabbed over wound that didn’t faze them at all when they received it; but now that they’re sick, makes them gag to look at it

[just a heads up but I got a whole lot of text below for some thoughts/ramblings and headcanons of the event lolol]

Ngl, I was kinda expecting that he's dead since he did give off some vibes that he's from a distant past

But I was still hoping that I was wrong and maybe he's really just from a distant or isolated island, and he'll pop up at the end of the story as one of the visitors during the Halloween event KAJSHDAKSLDJH

That or maybe he got reincarnated

The idea of Skully as one of the ghosts in Ramshackle is so nice and sad at the same time though. Like imagine if he's just hovering around the academy for years and then after some centuries or so he senses some sort of familiarity with certain students and just watches over them. Then when Yu came around he got the urge to protect them and stick around them the most.

So maybe when the students got suck into the book he also got dragged into it and he gets to see his younger self and the whole event that happened as a ghost, which is why when they finally got to leave he gets to remember the whole thing. Then he kisses everyone like he did the first time around as another greeting because he finally knows why they felt familiar! (Although they don't remember he doesn't mind-)

And he did it as a 'it's nice to meet you in the real world this time' kind of thing

...

Anyway

This is why I might try to be on a lookout for some Oc x Skully or Yu x Skully because I think it has so many potential and possibilities with this ending (Reincarnation AU? AU where Skully is a ghost in Ramshackle who's looking out for Yu and is the one who protects them, which is why they leave fights unscathed while everyone just thinks they're lucky? Modern AU or one when they meet once Yu is able to return home from Twisted Wonderland?????) 😭😭😭 His ending was kinda bittersweet ok, I want to see things turning out in a happier note

Listen, I adore when Severitus is written as them hating eachother to learning to live with eachother to loving eachother as MUCH as the next person, truly..

but there's so much charm and comedy in a Severitus scenario where Snape acts like a complete utter asshole to everyone BUT Harry. Hermione comes out with a perfect potion and gets a begrudging "satisfactory" and maybe some house points, but more likely Snape would just say she shouldnt be acting so proud and that she merely met the standard expected of students.

Harry comes out with a Passable potion, not as perfect as Hermiones but usable, and Snape praises this boy like he just saved Christmas. He puts some of the potion in a vial and begins using it as the standard nobody will every meet. I mean he acts like Harry hung the stars. He is completely utterly in love with this boy and he has 0 shame in it. Infact he's prideful of the fact. It's SO out of character that I find it funny. Because he acts completely like Book Snape with every other person but the moment Harry enters he turns soft and sweet. (Imagine him lecturing a group of students then abruptly turning to Harry and going "You're doing great sweetheart!" before going straight back to lecturing.)

Harry actually is kinda pissed that he acts this way because he thinks it's unfair. When Snape is told of this he goes out of his way to not be too cruel to students if Harry is near. Asshole.

I'm currently in my exam phase so I technically don't even have time to make this post, but there are 2 things I want to talk about after s3 e1 of The Gilded:

1. Aurora’s facial expressions during the "you have ever drunken alcohol? Say hello to Satan"-speech

2. The absolute NEED I feel for Aurora to just bitchslap Charles at some point in this season

- Rhysand isn't revealed to have been a villain/ bad guy the whole time and it's made aware he manipulated Feyre the whole time!?

And . . . .

- SJM doesn't stop over sexualizing her characters and ships, and writing ships/ relationships in a way that's toxic asf!?

And . . . .

- Doesn't get Nesta, and Elain and possibly even Feyre (I've kind of become anti Feyre but it's only because of how much she's changed cause of Reece's Cup) out of and away from the Night Court and Feysand and doesn't make Nesta break up with Cassian and hopefully find someone much better for her and get a happy ending!?

And . . . .

- Doesn't give Tamlin a healing arc and a happy ending with either possibly Nesta or Elain or Lucien x Elain or someone else but kills him off!?

And . . . .

- Makes Elriel endgame and has Nessian continue to be endgame?!

And . . . .

- Makes Feffiesand High Queen and King?!

. . . . . . . . . Then SJM isn't as good of a writer as she thinks she is and wasted her potential as a writer and ruined her own books, I already think she has in some ways but there's still hope depending on what she does next!!!!
