Ok ok ok SO!

I think everyone has realized that Leola was autistic. It was heavily implied both through the flashback images and Aaravos' narration-

She lined up her toys, flapped her hands (it was also shown in the trial scene), seemed to be sensitive towards loud sounds (like the other startouch elves when they talked), and walked on her tiptoes. All of those are classic signs of autism.

But there's one thing I haven't seen anyone else bring up, and that's that her giving her human friends magic and breaking the "cosmic order" or whatever could also be because of her neurotype!

Autistic people tend to have very strict senses of morality and fairness, and will disregard rules if they don't fit their idea of right or wrong. Personal example here, I used to constantly do things I was told not to because I thought the rules in question were bogus.

It's not hard to guess that Leola would find the rules about humans not having magic to be unfair- after all, her and all the other elves, and even the animals around them are full of it! So in the mind of an autistic child, this would be incredibly unfair. And she had the power to "fix" the situation! So why wouldn't she?

Why wouldn't she try to help her friends? Because it would break the cosmic order? That's vague as hell and she was a KID!

And the startouch elves atomized her, for breaking a rule she probably only half understood and thought was stupid. Because she was autistic.

Had this thought and wanted to share, makes the whole thing even more tragic.

does anyone else think about how tenna’s nostalgia is very focused on Wholesome Family Moments and particularly kris’ childhood, something he is unhealthily trying to recreate? and when he gets given to mettaton, mettaton’s dialogue specifically talks about tenna showing him a risqué music video, something that is clearly coded with gender and sexuality in mind, and how this mutually beneficial arrangement speaks to how “growing up” instead of latching onto the past is good?

Saitama's new toy

I know y'all have seen this cute pic in volume 32 of an excited Saitama driving himself and Genos on a mini break.

I guess that Genos being a driver and he not was the kick up his ass to actually apply himself and get one too.

Incidentally, this isn't the first time that seeing what Genos does has inspired Saitama to do better. Famously, that's why he's still stuck with the Hero Association and has sought promotion.

I just think the idea of ENAs reproducing asexually and randomly is kinda funny. Just, one minute they're standing there and the next there's a mini version of them stumbling around.

you don’t know if it’s the magic of the cool italian breeze wafting in through the window that’s slightly ajar, the warm covers that feel a bit too warm right now, or the fact that you’re aware you’re sleeping next to your favourite person in the world, that's keeping you from going back to sleep.

scratch that. you know exactly what’s keeping you up.

you pretend to be asleep, and wonwoo continues his ministrations on your skin. you feel him press a kiss to your forehead, his most favourite place to kiss you. as much as he teases you for being shorter than him, there’s nothing he loves more than having you just in reach so he can kiss you, as a way to greet you when he sees you, or as a way of telling you he’s proud of you, or as a way of telling you he’s there for you when you’re down and that you should know it.

you want to wake up and return the favour, kiss his face silly and relish the fact that he won’t ever tell you to stop even if you go a bit overboard, because he trusts you to know his limits. the thought of it makes your heart clench.

he’s no longer your fiancé. he’s jeon wonwoo, your husband, the man you married two days ago before he whisked you off on a surprise honeymoon to italy to spend a week with you. no friends or family or obligations or commitments. just the two of you, happy, in love, together.

so you keep your eyes shut and just feel as wonwoo moves down to your temple, letting his lips linger there. “i love you,” he whispers, and then he moves to your cheek. “i still can’t believe this is real.”

you can’t hold back any more at that. you turn around with your eyes shut and lean up in the direction of his warmth, willing to kiss whatever part of him you reach first.

he chuckles, his voice deep from not being used this early in the morning, and you realize you’ve hit his chin. you try again, and this time it’s the corner of his mouth.

“not ready to wake up yet?” he asks, hand gently combing through the tangled mess of your hair. you shake your head. the covers rustle under his movement, and you feel a gentle kiss on your lips. you blink your eyes open to see wonwoo looking at you with nothing but love, his eyes looking slightly unfocused without his glasses.

you get to wake up to this for the rest of your life. seems like a pretty good deal. the best, even.

Resurrection AU: Void

In this AU, Void has been reincarnated as a little white puffball. He has no memory of his life before he was sealed away by the Heroes of Yore.

His main goal is to figure out who he actually was in his previous life. Aiding in this effort is Magolor, who's agreed to help in exchange for some assistance with his theme park work. He happens to be working on an ancient history-themed area, and could use a hand in the research process.

Personality-wise, Void is driven and has a no-nonsense attitude. He's not super thrilled about all this silly wizard theme park nonsense, but will do what it takes to get what he wants. He has a tendency to overwork himself. He doesn't seem to have retained any powers from his time as Void Termina.
