Before you knew it, you had arrived back at your hotel, Sumire sleeping on your arms. With a sigh, you got up from the bus seat and made your way to the entrance. As you carried him to the room, you couldn't help but smile at how peaceful he looked.
As you walked to your room, constantly feeling your phone vibrate with messages and missed calls, a wave of guilt washed over you. You had just stormed out of your sister's wedding party in a fit of anger and now you couldn't help but feel selfish and regretful. You knew that your actions had caused a scene and potentially ruined her special day. The weight of your decision and its consequences weighed heavily on your conscience.
Was she really pregnant by Satoru? Do you mean absolutely nothing to him? Although you had shared an intimate night the night you went to the bar, you felt stupid for believing his lies. These thoughts were swirling around in your head, the reality of the situation sinking in. You couldn't believe that he would do this to you, especially after everything you had been through together. The trust you had in him was shattered, and you couldn't help but feel foolish for falling for his smooth words and false promises. It was a painful reminder that sometimes, people are not who they seem to be.
Maybe you should've taken that trip with Sumire, just the two of you, to clear your mind. But now, it was too late. You were committed to this path, no matter how unsure you felt. As you walked, the sound of your heels clicking on the concrete floor was a constant reminder of the life you were leaving behind. And with each step, you couldn't help but curse under your breath, knowing that your new pair of Jimmy Choo heels were now ruined.
You felt the tiredness of caring him hit you mid way to the elevator. You sighed with relief as the elevator doors opened, grateful for the brief moment of rest.
As you stepped inside, you couldn't help but wonder how much longer you could keep up this routine. But then you looked down at Sumire in your arms, and you knew you would do anything for him. You straightened your back and held him a little tighter, determined to make it through the rest of the day with a smile on your face.
"Well, someone looks happy." Turning to your side, you barely noticed the tall man with pink hair staring at you. Curling your smile into an awkward one, you turned back to continue trying to shove Sumire up, as he was slipping from your hold. Although the man's comment had caught you off guard, you didn't want to engage in a conversation with a stranger while holding your child. Plus, his pink hair and unusual choice of words made you a bit uncomfortable. You focused on sumire and decided to ignore him, hoping he would take the hint and leave you alone.
"Yeah, well I'm happy to be with my son is all," you chuckled awkwardly. Despite the pink-haired man being oddly attractive, you weren't really looking for a conversation because unfortunately for you, Sumire was starting to wake up. "Do you need help carrying him? It looks like you're struggling," the man said, curling his lips into a genuine smile.
As you handed over your toddler, a wave of anxiety washed over you. You knew that letting a stranger hold your child was not a wise decision, but you were desperate for a break from carrying him. With a mixture of hesitation and aggression, you reluctantly agreed. The man's reaction was unexpected - he froze in place as your little white haired boy happily grabbed onto his neck and curled up. You couldn't help but laugh at the sight. "Well since you're carrying my kid, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Y/N."
"My name is Sukuna." The pink haired man said, he silently checked you out. Looking at your heels to your dress he definitely knew you had some type of cash on you. All you were wearing was designer brands. "Nice to meet you." you said clutching your purse. You wondered if the man was here on a business trip because of the way he was dressed. He was wearing a suite which suited his body figure well.
You couldn't help but notice he looked a little like one of sumire's friends from school. However, his intense gaze and calculating demeanor made you feel uneasy. It was almost as if he was sizing you up, and you couldn't shake off the feeling that he had ulterior motives for wanting to meet you. You started to second-guess your decision to meet him, wondering if it was safe to trust him.
"Wait a minute... I know you." He said chuckling.
Realizing that you had never met this man before, you glanced back at the elevator sign, wondering if he had mistaken you for someone else. However, as you looked back at him, his chuckle turned into a sly smile and you couldn't help but feel suspicious. Who was this man and why did he seem to recognize you? You couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off."why is this elevator so damn slow" you thought.
"You do?" You laughed awkwardly, trying to hide the fear in your voice. All you could do was pray that he wasn't some serial killer.
"Mmm yeah I do. You're Satoru Gojos wife right?" tilting his head a little. You sighed, he was definitely one of Satorus business partners.
The man continued to look at you curiously, his pink hair falling into his dark eyes. You couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious under his gaze. "Yes, I am. And who might you be?" you replied, trying to maintain a polite tone despite your growing irritation. It seemed like Satoru's business partners were always popping up at the most inconvenient times.
"Well im just associated with your husband because we both work for the same industry." nodding your head you couldn't help but feel relieved when the elevator doors finally opened on your floor.
"I can take him from here." reaching for Sumire the man just backed up a bit.
"Where's your room? I can take him there," he said. You sighed in defeat as you stepped out of the elevator. Walking down the hallway towards your hotel room, you couldn't help but feel frustrated with Sukuna's constant presence. You knew he was only trying to help, but having him follow you everywhere was starting to become suffocating.
You could also tell that he was most definitely checking you out as you walked towards your room. Where was satoru when you needed him.
"So how long have you been married for?" Sighing, you shook your head, feeling the weight of your failing marriage. Finally getting to your room, you opened your purse to try and find the keys, hoping to escape the tension and disappointment that had been plaguing your relationship.
"Just a few years," you replied, finally grabbing your keys and unlocking the door. You turned around to face the pink haired man, smiling with gratitude. "Thank you so much for your help. Please come in and put him in the bed."
He gently put sumire down on the bed, straightening him self he cracked his knuckles before walking back out. You followed him planning on thanking him before he left. As you followed him, you couldn't help but feel grateful for his help and wanted to thank him before he left. However, you also couldn't help but notice the slight tension in his knuckles as he walked, perhaps a sign of the physical strain he had endured while carrying Sumire to the bed. You made a mental note to check on him later and offer your gratitude for his assistance.
As Sukuna stood by your side, you silently closed the door behind you, leaving only the two of you outside in the hallway. Turning to Sukuna, you couldn't help but smile and say, "Thank you for carrying my son all this way."
"I'm just happy to help," Sukuna replied with a smile, "Your son is a great kid." You nodded, grateful for Sukuna's assistance in carrying your sleeping child out of the elevator.
Sukuna couldn't help but lean closer, and as he did, you caught a whiff of his strong, expensive cologne. Your heart raced, wondering if he was hitting on you. But as you glanced to the side, you noticed someone standing by you.
"Leave her alone," Toji stood in front of you, pushing Sukuna away. Sukuna groaned in disappointment, "Toji, nice to see you too." The tension between the two of them was palpable, and you couldn't help but feel grateful for Toji's intervention.
"What are you doing here?" you said in a low voice, toji stared at sukuna. Not paying attention to you as he was trying to get sukuna to leave. "Come on man, I can't talk to her?" Toji rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed by Sukuna's presence. You couldn't help but feel caught in the middle of their argument.
With a sigh, Sukuna made his way out of the hallway, leaving you and Toji alone. Surprisingly, the tension that had filled the air seemed to dissipate, replaced by a sense of calm and understanding between the two of you. It was as if Sukuna's departure lifted a weight off your shoulders, allowing you to fully relax in Toji's presence. The atmosphere had changed into something more peaceful, and you couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment of tranquility.
"You followed me?" Confused you stared at him
"Yes, I did. I was worried about you," Toji replied with a concerned expression. "I saw you walk out alone and I couldn't just let you go without making sure you were okay." He squeezed your arm gently, his eyes full of worry. "Are you alright?"
Nodding your head you couldnt help but see that Toji's chest was going up n down fast. He had sweat beats forming on his forehead most likely meaning he sprinted here. "Did you run all the way here?"
Nodding your head, you couldn't help but notice that Toji's chest was rising and falling rapidly. Sweat beads were forming on his forehead, most likely meaning he had sprinted here. "Did you run all the way here?" you asked, concerned for his well-being. Toji smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I wanted to make sure I got here in time to see you." You couldn't help but feel touched by his dedication and effort.
Toji was just staring, taking in your facial features. He couldn't help but admire your features, from the curve of your lips to the sparkle in your eyes. Every detail seemed to captivate him, leaving him in awe of your beauty. But as he gazed at you, he couldn't help but wonder, what was your secret? How could someone be so effortlessly and naturally stunning?
He leaned in, gently cupping your cheek in his hand. His intense gaze held yours, making you feel weak in the knees. You could feel your cheeks heat up and your body tense as his hand caressed your skin. The electricity between you was palpable, and you couldn't deny the flutter of excitement in your stomach. Maybe it was time for you to move on and find someone who actually cares about you. Someone who would treat you with love, respect, and kindness. You deserve to be with someone who values you and makes you feel appreciated.
You put your hand behind his head and pulled him closer, your lips inching towards each other. Maybe Toji was that someone, the one who could treat you with love and kindness, unlike the others who had only caused you pain and heartache. As you leaned in for a kiss, you couldn't help but hope that this could be the start of something real and beautiful. The fear of getting hurt once more overwhelmed you, causing you to hesitate and pull away from his soft lips. Memories of past heartbreaks and betrayals flooded your mind, making it difficult to fully embrace the present moment. You couldn't help but question his intentions and whether or not you were making the right decision by allowing him to kiss you.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his face inches from yours. You could see the hunger in his eyes as he gazed at you.
Feeling a rush of desire, you leaned in closer to him, allowing your lips to brush against his. "Nothing," you whispered, before closing the gap between you and giving into the intense chemistry between the two of you. His lips were soft and warm against yours, and you found yourself getting lost in the moment. You knew this was wrong, but you couldn't resist the temptation any longer.
As his hand moved from your cheek to your waist, you couldn't help but feel a flutter in your stomach. His touch was gentle yet possessive, and you couldn't resist the urge to lean into him. He hesitated for a moment, but then his hand slipped under your shirt, sending shivers down your spine as his fingers traced along your bare skin. The butterflies in your stomach only intensified, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what was to come.
You could feel the coolness of his fingers against your skin and you flinched, but at the same time, you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Toji's gentle touch allowed your mouth to open just slightly, and Toji took that as an invitation, eagerly pushing his tongue into your mouth. The pleasure was intoxicating and you found yourself moaning in response, losing yourself in the moment.
You knew this was wrong, making out in the hall of your hotel. Anyone could come in at the moment and see you making out with Toji. But for some reason, it sparked excitement in you - the thrill of getting caught reminded you of your teenage years when you would sneak around with him at parties. It was a reminder of the carefree and rebellious nature of youth, and you couldn't help but indulge in the moment. However, you also knew that this behavior was irresponsible and could have consequences, but the temptation was too strong to resist.
"Mm, Toji..." Feeling his hand slide up, you felt a rush of excitement as he reached your breasts. Stopping for a brief moment to ask for your consent, he said, "Can I?" You didn't even have to tell him, you just grabbed him and pulled him into another passionate kiss. Taking that as a yes, he began to gently fondle and caress your breasts, sending shivers of pleasure throughout your body.
It had been a while since someone had made out with you, but it was clear that Toji needed you. Despite being with Satoru most of your life, you had never experienced a makeout session this passionate before. Satoru's kisses were always rough, but Toji's were on another level. They were gentle, yet somehow still intense and rough at the same time. It was as if he couldn't get enough of you.
"We should stop," you said, looking away from him to see if anyone had passed by the hall. "Yeah, we should," but before you could say anything, he squeezed your breast, causing you to look at him. He laughed in a playful manner before kissing you one last time.
You rolled your eyes at him before looking at him with confusion. "Where's Megumi?" you asked. "He's at your sister's house," he replied. "I came here as fast as I could, so I asked if she could watch him."
"Are you serious? you left your soon with a bunch of strangers." you shook your head in disapproval.
"Let's go get him, I need to talk to my sister either way," you hesitently said. Turning around to get your keys out of your purse, you opened your hotel room, with Toji following behind you.
You couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as you watched your son sleeping peacefully. You knew you had to wake him up, but seeing him so content made you hesitate. You couldn't bear to disturb his peaceful slumber, but you also knew you had to stick to the schedule. You gently shook him awake, hoping he wouldn't be too grumpy about it.
"Come on, baby, wake up." You said in a soft tone, gently trying to rouse your child from their slumber.
Sumire awoke from a deep sleep, confused and disoriented as he found himself in a hotel room. He couldn't remember how he got there, but he was suddenly filled with joy when he saw you, his mother, standing by his bedside. "Mommy!" he exclaimed excitedly, relieved to see a familiar face.
Toji stood next to you as you gently picked up your son. "Hey, let me take him for you." You silently thanked him before handing Sumire to him. Without hesitation, Sumire wrapped his tiny hands around Toji's neck and buried his face in the warmth of his embrace. You couldn't help but smile at the sweet bond forming between him and your and son.
As you walked out, you made sure to carefully lock the door behind you before heading to the elevator. Once you reached the lobby, you made your way out to the parking lot, grateful for the car your sister had rented for you. You promised yourself to thank her again when you saw her.
"Can you drive? I want to sit with Sumire," you asked. Toji simply nodded and got into the car. You carefully picked up your son and positioned him comfortably on top of you, holding him tight. You quickly checked your phone to see if you got any messages from when you left.
3 messages from "Sister" 2 messages from "My love ♡" 5 messages from "Toji Zen'in"
Confused as to why you still had Satoru as "My love" you clicked on his contact. Quickly changing it back to "ex-husband." Curious on what he texted you clicked on his message.
Y/N please call me when you see this. Please tell me if you got safe with sumire if you can.
You scoffed seeing his message. You were filled with anger and resentment upon receiving his message. 'How dare he try to act like a caring father now? He should have thought about the consequences of his actions when he decided to cheat and get another girl pregnant.' It was too late for him to try and make amends now.
You hated him so much. You couldn't believe how different Sumire was from his father. His kind and gentle nature was a stark contrast to the man you despised so much. It was almost hard to believe they were related.
"So we get megumi, I talk to my sister and we leave, Okay?" You said.
"That sounds good," Toji said, placing a hand on your thigh before carelessly rubbing it. You realized he was driving with one hand and for some reason it made him look immensely attractive. His confident and nonchalant demeanor while driving added to his charm and you couldn't help but feel drawn to him. The way his hand rested on your thigh sent shivers down your spine, making you want him even more.
Toji had a way of making you feel youthful, despite the small age difference between the two of you. Although he was only two years older, being around him made you feel more energized and alive. He had a contagious energy that could make anyone feel young and carefree.
"Toji?" Seeing him turn to look at you, you took in his features. His sharp jawline, dark hair, and piercing dark green eyes took your breath away. You couldn't help but feel a flutter in your stomach every time you looked at him. It was no wonder he was the most popular guy in school.
Everyone wanted Toji, even your sister had a major crush on him. She was a freshman when he was a senior. Little did she know you were lucky enough to make out with him the day before he graduated.
"Do you still remember how Highschool was?" With a squeeze on your thigh he began to think.
"Hmm, high school was quite boring actually," he said with a sigh. "Well, except for the fact that I could see you during passing periods," he added with a sly wink in your direction.
"You're dumb." You said, playfully rolling your eyes at him.
"I'm being completely honest with you. I had strong feelings for you, but I was told that you were in a serious relationship with Satoru, so I didn't want to interfere or make things complicated."
You smiled knowing Toji always thought of you in a romantic way, but you also couldn't help but wonder what life would have been like if you had married him instead of Satoru. Would things have been easier or more fulfilling? Would you have avoided the heartbreak and struggles you faced with Satoru?
"We're here," he said, parking the car outside the house. As the music and chatter from outside filled the car, you felt hesitant and unsure if you should actually go in.
"Here, I'll carry Sumire." He said, gently picking up your son and holding him in his arms. You were still getting out of the car, and Toji extended his hand to help you. You gratefully accepted it, feeling a sense of warmth and connection as your fingers interlocked. Together you walked inside the house.
Upon opening the door, you were greeted by Jiyuu, who appeared to have been crying. "Couldn't my day get any better." She said before shoulder checking you and walking out the door. You were in disbelief, she really just said that in front of you. Scoffing you continued to walk towards the patio.
Satoru was frustrated, Jiyuu had ran out and he had to go after her. He began walking to where she had left before stopping in his tracks and seeing you. Toji was holding his son, his baby. He looked at Toji in disgust before his eyes followed to you, seeing that you were holding hands with Toji he chuckled.
Satoru couldn't believe it. After all the trouble Jiyuu had caused, she had just run off and left him to deal with the consequences. And now, to make matters worse, he saw that you were here with Toji, holding hands with him. Satoru couldn't help but feel disgusted and betrayed by both of you. He had always hated Toji, but now it seemed that you were with him. He stood there, unsure of what to do or say next.
All he could do was just walk past you, pretend like he didnt care that you were with another man. He had priorities now, and that was to catch his pregnant lover who had just ran out.
"What a scum." you said
As you walked outside, you noticed a group of people gathered and chatting. Your eyes zeroed in on your sister's fiance, who seemed to be the center of attention. You quickly made your way over.
"Y/N, I'm glad you're safe," he said, placing a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
"Where's Marie?" you asked, scanning the room for any sign of her. However, she was nowhere in sight. You wondered where she could have gone off to and if everything was okay.
"She's in her room, all the bridesmaids are in there," he said, gesturing towards the door before turning to greet Toji and your son.
Looking at Toji, he had just smiled at you and reassured you that it was okay to leave. "It's fine, go ahead. I'll take care of Megumi." His kind gesture put you at ease and you were grateful for his understanding.
You walked to your sister's room, knocking on the door before you were greeted by Utahime. She looked at you with a shocked expression, practically jumping on you. "Y/N! I'm so glad you're okay!" she exclaimed.
Walking inside, you saw all of your friends gathered in the room, with your sister on the bed crying. You immediately felt guilty, knowing that your actions had caused this emotional outburst. Without hesitation, you walked over to her and embraced her in a hug, apologizing for the scene you had made.
"I'm so sorry Marie, I didn't mean to storm off like that," you apologized to your sister, feeling guilty for your outburst. You knew that your sister deserved an explanation for your behavior and you were ready to give her one.
She reached out and took your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You've been through a lot, but you're here now and that's all that matters," she reassured you with a warm smile. "And I completely understand if you don't want to be a part of my wedding anymore. I love you and everything you have done for me, but I want you to be happy and comfortable with your role in the wedding." You quickly cut her off, reassuring her that her feelings and opinions are important to you.
"Absolutely not, I'm staying for this wedding. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss it for anything," you said, hugging her again. You had been looking forward to this special occasion for months, and there was no way you were going to miss it. The thought of not being there to celebrate with your baby sister and witness her happiness was out of the question.
She smiled at you, happy that you were going to be in her wedding. "And as for Jiyuu i want her there too." you said, you're sister looked at you confused.
"Are you sure?" she asked again, concern evident in her voice. "I can take her off if you want," she reassured you, gently squeezing your hand. You could tell she genuinely cared about your well-being and wanted to make sure you were comfortable with the situation.
"No, it's fine, I have to go." you reassured your sister before getting up from the bed and giving her one last hug. "I'll be safe, don't worry. And I'll definitely text you." Your sister smiled and nodded before letting you leave the room. As you walked outside, you saw that Toji was getting along well with your sister's fiancé.
You walked towards him and gently took Megumi from his grasp, feeling grateful for his innocent and loving nature. "Hello, my sweet baby," you cooed in a soft, high-pitched voice. His eyes lit up with excitement and he wrapped his tiny hands around your neck, his pure and genuine love bringing a smile to your face.
"Well we should get going, thank you for everything." You thanked him before grabbing Toji's hand and walking towards the entrance.
Toji was walking with Sumire holding his tiny hand while you carried Megumi. You always wanted another kid. Just so Sumire wouldn't be alone. But having another child was basically impossible since his father was no longer in the picture.
However, as the wedding drew closer, you couldn't help but feel a sense of dread and sadness. Going home also meant finalizing your divorce and leaving behind the life you once knew. The impending changes and uncertainty made it difficult to truly enjoy the vacation.

Clearing out the WIP folders, have this one that didn't go anywhere.
It wasn’t the first time too curious of outsiders had found them, will not be the last either, which is why there were policies in place for such situations.
At least the…visitors…cause that’s what they were for now, here to see then leaving very soon even if it wasn’t the same way they arrived…at least they were entertaining.
Talia just smiled at the other woman across from her as they enjoyed a morning cup of tea, the red head continuing on and on with her theories and “scientific" findings.
Most were so very wrong but a few conversations in had already proved that their guest were set in their beliefs despite evidence proving otherwise.
The mountain of the man had trapped some of the more unfortunate servants in his own rant, the poor things…
-*-
She missed her son, she missed being a mother…
The duo of siblings were at least more wary of their surroundings…
Danny and Jazz didn’t trust the hospitality, wary and ever watching everyone and everything.
They had potential…
-*-
Danny was staring at her, eyes hard, “Where is my mom?”
“Hmm, dear, there is some tea and fruit waiting for you-"
“Stop ignoring me, where is my mom?”
-*-
Ra’s did a lazy hand wave to show off the room, Jazz didn’t seem impressed.
“Our library is filled with knowledge from around the world, constantly updating, after all, knowledge is power.”
“Is the whereabouts of our parents in there or is that something you already have on hand?”
-*-
The vase of roses like blooms were placed in front of Danny, Talia slightly and amusingly smiling at his paling face.
“The flowers are beautiful aren’t they, a rare and exotic breed, once believed to be extinct.”
“Blood blossoms but…how?”
“Just a little research, they look lovely don’t they, especially when places around windows and doorways, we have a few hidden away in certain rooms to keep there pleasant aroma floating around.”
“What…what rooms?”
“Hmm, mostly the ones near the perimeter, we haven’t moved into the inner sanctuary yet, don’t want anyone from within to get sick do we?”
“…no…no we don’t…”
-*-
Ra’s took a sip off his tea, casually watching Jazz silently shake with rage.
“You are very perceptive, now we will begin lessons in utilizing that.”
“I just want to be a psychologist, I want to help people…not this…”
“To help them, you must first break them down.”
-*-
“Danyal, your grandfather is expecting us soon, your sister will be joining as well, it has been too long since we have enjoyed a family meal together-"
“Stop it! My name is Danny, Danny Fenton, my mom is Maddie Fenton and my dad is Jack Fenton, you are not my mother, that man isn’t my grandfather!”
“…it seems that we need to increase your training, perhaps helping with the gardening will quell your temper.”
“…I…my apologies Mother…”
“Hmm. I expect you'll be on your best behavior then, Danyal.”
“Yes, Mother.”
-*-
“You did well in this lesson, Jasmine.”
“You poisoned the tea and had me guess which one was the safe one…”
“And you recognized the smell and avoided it.”
“There are two others dead…”
“They should have noticed this was a lesson, assassination could come at any time from anyone, by tea or…by a slow drawn out poisoning by one's home environment…”
“My parents weren’t poisoning us!”
“Now we both know that isn’t true, your Mother just had you and brother start your resistance training.”
“That's not-"
“You can continue on and risk punishment or take your earned reward and enjoy the rest of your afternoon.”
“…yes…Grandfather...”
-*-
“This is Danyal. Forge him, bring him to his full potential.”
“By your order, I shall make him into a weapon worthy of your legacy.”
“I expect that and more.”
-*-
Talia couldn’t help but hum happily to herself, perhaps there was something to her beloved’s habit of taking in strays.
There wasn’t the consequences of ones own blood being of failure and any misgivings could be deducted towards past raising.
Really, those Fenton's were clearly unaware of the potential they had on their hands, it was fate that brought them here.
“Danyal, Jasmine, my dears, I believe you both have earned rewards for your recent accomplishments, a believe a trip to see your brother is in order.”

Paring: hyung-line x male!reader
Genre: Suggestive.
Cw: swearing, fantasize.
Pov: Co-workers having obsession admire at you.
Wc: 400+
Non proof read/ English is not my 1st lang.
Tumblr media
Lhs: Nerdy-quite guy who would stalk your social media, having your face on his wallpaper, while bragging to his friends that you're his one and only boyfriend, even though it's not true.

It's getting out of hand when you realize that he's the one who left those unknown, randomly given gifts in your locker every single morning. Eventually you started to ignore and avoid him at all costs, to the point that when you went home from work one day, you found him there, sitting while crossing his leg as he lean against the wooden chair inside your apartment.

"Hello, baby boy, I see you avoiding me, so I'd like to pay you a visit. How do you like that?"
Pjs: Everyone praises him not because of his potential or talents in the workplace; it's because he's related to the CEO of the company. You hate people who are overpowered by their money and not their own work, so you're brave enough to say what comes to mind when they make a mistake.

Finally, you just got yourself into trouble; however, since he liked you enough to spare your life, he had another plan.

While going to the bathroom to wash your dirty hands, you suddenly feel a pair of hands grab your forearm before pulling you inside the bathroom stall, locking the door at instant.

"You've been a really bad boy lately, Mn! How dumb are you to not realize I'm your crazy secret Santa? Now you're going to pay for your consequences, darling."
Sjy: The happiest guy is everyone's lifesaver and lover. Whenever there's a problem in the company, he'll always be there to fix the issue using his sexy brain in a blink of an eye. As a new employee, you were impressed at how much the other workers liked him, and the answer is quite obvious.

Little did you know, not all good guys are innocent and nice; Jake also had his dark side too. He likes to take advantage of new employees like you, and at the end of the day, he'll throw them out as if they were some pieces of used trash.

Nevertheless, when he laid eyes on you, it seemed like he couldn't stop thinking about you; you're that special to make him head over heels for you that bad.

Late at night, as you take the elevator to the ground floor, Jake is also in the elevator, and you never know what will happen.

"Mn, you might think I'm all bright and amazing, but did you know that every time I see you, I love fantasizing about you being under me?"

Psh: This guy was cold as ice; no wonder he's the best employee of the month almost every single time, despite how hard he's working alone. Regardless of being friends with him for so long, you still don't know his personal life, his daily routine, or his inside. You couldn't care much since you respect his decision to keep himself.

But the reason why he won't let you visit him at his apartment is because all your pictures that he's captured every chance he's gotten were pinned and spread all over his room like a crime detective investigation. Not only is he obsessed, he already had plan B if you said no to his confession one day.

"I'd give up heaven if I had to make you mine, little man."

New research reveals that fibrin, a key component of blood clots, may be the secret culprit behind the devastating neurological and inflammatory aftermath of the virus, including long COVID. From dense, stubborn clots to brain fog, the interaction of COVID’s spike protein with fibrin could be the missing link — and a potential target for life-saving therapies.
Coagulopathy, the formation of small blood clots that go on to wreck respiratory and neurologic havoc, has long been a clinical hallmark of COVID, and now it's oft-ignored Long COVID. A new study suggests that fibrin, a key component of blood clots, plays a role.
Fibrin provides structure to a blood clot and is derived from fibrinogen, a soluble blood protein when the coagulation cascade is activated. If you think of a blood clot as nature’s way of plugging a leak, fibrin deposition is frequently found where there is damage to the walls of blood vessels and the vessels making up the blood-brain barrier. Fibrin serves as a plug and a signal for a greater inflammatory and immune response.
Given the unique clinical presentation of clotting in COVID compared to other respiratory viruses, the researchers hypothesized that COVID directly binds to fibrinogen, promoting blood clot formation and altering clot structure and function. They found that the spike protein of the virus binds to fibrinogen and fibrin at specific binding sites, suggesting that the virus might contribute to abnormal clotting by interacting with fibrinogen.
They found that the spike protein altered the structure of clots, making them denser and more resistant to the body’s natural means of removing clots, a process called fibrinolysis. Additionally, the spike protein enhanced the inflammatory signals from fibrin, increasing oxidative forces (reactive oxygen species or ROS) released from macrophages, a first responder of the immune system.
In converting fibrinogen to fibrin, the spike's binding site (epitope) is exposed. Therapeutically, having identified binding regions, the research found that antibodies could disrupt and reduce these pro-inflammatory effects implicated in acute and long COVID. Among the inflammatory effects reduced by blocking the actions of fibrinogen was the deposition of collagen in the lungs, which creates a barrier to oxygen passage and helps to explain the refractory response to supplemental oxygen we have seen in patients.
Fibrin also suppresses natural killer (NK) cells, which are called "natural killers" because they can recognize and kill stressed cells without prior exposure to a particular pathogen, making them critical first responders. The suppression of NK cell activity results in enhancing viral persistence and lung inflammation.
In additional studies in mice, the researchers found that this fibrin-dependent inflammatory response occurs independently of the active virus, suggesting a potential mechanism for persistent symptoms in Long COVID. [1] Therapeutically, in their mouse model, the use of a monoclonal antibody targeting the fibrin epitope, in addition to reducing the lung’s inflammatory response, reduced neuroinflammation (associated with long COVID’s brain fog). There were reductions in fibrin deposition and microglial reactivity “leading to improved neuronal survival and reduced white-matter injury.” Microglia are the primary immune cells of the central nervous system.
To summarize:
Coagulopathy in COVID-19 is a primary driver of thrombo-inflammation and neuropathology rather than a consequence of systemic inflammation. Fibrin plays a causal immunomodulatory role in promoting hyperinflammation, neuropathological alterations, and increased viral load in COVID-19 by modulating NK cells, macrophages, and microglia. Elevated fibrinogen levels and BBB permeability in COVID-19 contribute to neuropathology, and targeting fibrin may offer a dual mechanism of action by inhibiting fibrin-spike interactions and exerting anti-inflammatory effects. A fibrin-targeting antibody effectively blocks many pathological effects of fibrin, providing neuroprotection and reducing thrombo-inflammation. Their findings have limitations, including how they measured changes in brain tissue, the use of mouse models, and the fact that our inflammatory response may have more than one pathway that results in COVID-19’s deleterious effects. For Long COVID, the fibrin-targeted antibody does not interfere with normal clotting, acting solely on fibrin's inflammatory responses, making it a candidate to protect against pulmonary and cognitive impairment; that will, of course, require clinical trials.
And there you have it—the silent saboteur behind the lingering specter of Long COVID. Fibrin is not just a bystander in the aftermath of COVID-19; it's a key player driving the chronic symptoms that continue to baffle patients and clinicians alike. The discovery that the virus’s spike protein meddles with fibrin, transforming it into a resilient, inflammatory force, opens a new frontier in the fight against the pandemic’s long tail. The research, though groundbreaking, is still in its early days, confined to animal models, and the complexities of human biology could introduce new challenges.
But if the science holds, targeting fibrin could offer a two-for-one punch against the clotting and inflammation that underpin much of the damage COVID-19 leaves in its wake. For the millions grappling with the enduring effects of Long COVID, this could be a glimmer of hope—a chance to reclaim their lives.
[1] The inquisitive with a conspiratorial bent might link these inflammatory responses in the absence of infection to deaths felt to be due to the COVID vaccines, which employ the spike as antigenic stimulus. The researchers note that most hematologic changes are triggered by the vaccine vector (an adenovirus) and that “COVID-19 RNA vaccines lead to small amounts of spike protein accumulating locally and within draining lymph nodes where the immune response is initiated, and the protein is eliminated.”

I have a question about vessels. I understand this probably enters inside the terrain of spoilers that are going to be revealed on the story. But my curiosity demands I ask you anyway. Although you are, of course, free to ignore this.
I was wondering if vessels are subject to human needs and flaws. As, do they need to eat, sleep, evacuate? Do they age? Do they have periods (in the case of uterus havers)? If they sleep, do the Mc's with prothestic limbs sleep without them?
Or does the demonic magic stop the body from having to take these into account?
I apologize if you answered this before, because I was not able to find it. Which I don't know if it's my fault or Tumblrs.
Anyway, I'm really interested by the worldbuilding of this story. Good luck with your writing!
Oh, I could go on about vessels for days, but I'll try to keep this short-ish and more or less coherent.
The ideal vessels for demons (and angels) are essentially husks that they can easily possess/pilot. Corpses make the best vessels for a number of reasons:
You don't have to subdue or deal with a soul.
The transformation from human body to ideal demonic vessel is exponentially faster.
You don't have to deal with any mortal functions, limitations, and nuisances.
As you'll see early on in the story (potentially in the prologue when the updated version drops) as soon as an infernal/celestial being enters a body, it fundamentally and involuntarily begins to alter it. Blood normally starts to congeal and change color and (if it's a corpse) the bones will twist and shatter, but this won't hinder the vessel in any major ways. The skin will just appeal to heal over any damage and the body will feel solid and normal as if nothing strange has happened. It can hurt or slow down a demon/angel, but it can't kill or permanently maim the vessel. The ultimate transformation will really reflect the idea of the vessel being a husk but—for lore reasons—there is no standard way that a demon/angel's presence affects the body. For example, once the transformation is complete, the vessel might appear empty but leak pure, liquid shadow when sliced open, be stuffed with semi-sentient slime, filled with weird little creatures, erupt with lava when punctured, just be stacked with bones and more bones, etc. Regardless, it will always look just like it did in life from the outside. It can even appear/feel to have subtle things like the sensation of a pulse, bodily warmth, breathing, etc. They also feel things like pain, discomfort, pleasure, etc. like humans do (though some know how to turn off this added functionality, distancing themselves from their vessel emotionally).
Corpses are dead, so they won't age, and the infernal/celestial power keeps them fresh, so to speak. And, since infernals/celestials create energy, they have no need to sustain themselves. They don't need to eat in the way humans do, but if they expend a lot of energy quickly, they can speed up the process of recovering that power by consuming "food" (could be a more loose definition, since they don't have to deal with edibility like humans do). In that case, it's just like throwing logs on a fire. They also don't need to sleep but can enter a sleep-like state to pass time more quickly. (I think if the MC has prosthetic limbs they'd likely take them off to sleep with some possible exceptions).
As implied above the transformation process is much slower if the demon's vessel is a living person. In these cases, since the flesh is still alive, the demon/angel would have to take care of the mortal form and its involuntary functions if they want to keep it alive. They would age, sleep, eat, get sick, all of it.
But the body does still change. If someone were to be possessed for an extended period of time and survive, they'd be... different. The specific mutations would vary, but there would be evidence of otherworldly influence on their body and (most likely) serious health consequences. So, they may gain some cool powers or even a demonic feature, but maybe some of their internal organs have liquefied (oops).

This story is not fully written. In fact, you guys will write the story! After each chapter, you will be allowed to comment what you believe XXXXX Bloomford should do. The comment with the most "upvotes" (replies approving of that action) will be the action XXXXX Bloomford does in the story.
AND NOW, A SHORT INTRO TO THE CHARACTERS:
XXXXX Bloomford - Our main hero, and the reader-controlled character. A sixteen-year-old of ambiguous gender abundant in intelligence but lacking in experience. Very curious and inquisitive, sometimes to their own detriment. Tries to be serious and act more mature than they actually are

as a manager enjoyer, could you help me understand may's motivations in his consequence card? like, i assume that by the time your nightmares reach 5, he is sending you dreams and is actively stalking you
his preferred outcome is you stuck in the beth, so presumably 'the walls are right' (what is in the wallpaper 'making eyes' at the flpc? is it him or the beth? and why do they want us carnally?) and 'the walls are wrong' (what does 'A CLEFT FOR THEE/HIDE IN ME' refer to?) depends on whether you've annoyed him.
if im right, why does he get more annoyed the more observant we are? and does he get sad if we ignore him?
ohohoh i love talking about May. I'm going to approach this from both a watsonian and doylist lens here.
The first thing we got to understand is the "A merry gentleman" and a state of some confusion is really really old content. Like, established in the early 2010s/not long after the game came out. The outside of lore reasoning is that text is just supposed to come across as Weirdly Ominious and Confusing, and is not actually supposed to make any sense lmao. They updated the card recently for the boons and burdens update, but that much remains the same.
The 'cleft in thee hide in mean' apparently doesn't really mean anything, according to this very old post by an ex employee way back in the day
There is however a potential that its related to the 'rock of ages' hymm part, "cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee".
and i think the 'making eyes at you' is a lizard XD, from the bloody wallpaper there's lizards on the wallpaper, but it could any weird Vaguely dream thing.
Now in character. So i'm going to say I don't think May is sending you dreams. That would quite defeat the purpose of what he's doing. He is perhaps purposefully aggravating you and increasing whats already there though.
You have risen your nightmares all on your own, and that is why May is stalking you. He brings people to the bethlehem for multiude of reasons, but the main reason here is because he is collecting dreams for his garden of nightmares. He wants your nightmares to get worse so he can collect them.
I think whether he's pissed of or not is a fair assertion, but honeslty i dont think there's really much in lore reason for the difference tbh. Its just a draw of luck - whether the dream magic affect soothes or aggravates your nightmares.
I don't think its may getting mad at your observation, but rather the reality is that the more you are Aware of the ongoings in the neath, the harder it is to not have high nightmares. you cant just look away from whats going on. [and also so its easier for new players with lower watchful to pass then it is for late game players].
I would even say given the descriptions that sucess is at the beth with dreams being drawn from/helped, whereas the failure involves you continuing to witness the nightmares of the neath
but yea in summery, a lot of stuff related to the nightmares menace and the beth is just 'vaguely ominious thing that doesnt make sense to try and fit the vibes of it' imo, don't think there's a 100% solid character answer.
and yes i do think he'd get sad at being ignored :-( poor hat man

Decentralized Finance Impact On Global Tax Policies
Decentralized finance tax implications are at the forefront of ongoing discussions in global regulatory circles. Here’s what you need to know and how it affects your crypto portfolio.
Understanding Decentralized Finance Tax Implications
As decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms grow in adoption, governments and tax authorities are responding swiftly. The decentralized finance tax implications extend beyond jurisdictional lines, creating challenges for compliance and enforcement. Countries are drafting new tax codes or adapting old ones to fit the rapidly evolving crypto space, particularly around the best crypto platform options available. For investors, this means understanding how profits, losses, and token movements are viewed under new regulations.
Latest Update on Decentralized finance tax implications
Recently, several jurisdictions, including the United States, EU, and Australia, have proposed frameworks to include DeFi activities under existing tax obligations. This includes income earned from staking, yield farming, lending, or liquidity provisioning. Tax authorities are increasingly focused on wallet addresses, decentralized exchanges, and smart contract interactions, signaling a shift toward transparency in areas once considered anonymous or untraceable. The decentralized finance tax implications movement is gaining speed, and investors need to stay proactive.
What This Means for Crypto Investors
Crypto users engaging with DeFi protocols must now consider that their returns and trades could trigger taxable events. From capital gains on token swaps to rewards from liquidity pools being classified as income, the landscape is shifting. For long-term investors, this motivates better record-keeping and possibly adjusting strategies to remain tax-efficient. With increased scrutiny, avoiding or ignoring decentralized finance tax implications could lead to serious legal consequences.
Expert Opinions and Reactions
Industry LeadersBlockchain experts highlight that while regulation can enhance legitimacy, unclear guidance adds confusion. Many advocate for standardized global tax policies tailored to DeFi’s unique structure. Some suggest that regulators consult directly with protocol founders and DAOs to better understand functionality before enforcement.
Market ImpactMarkets have seen slight volatility in response to tax-related announcements. While uncertainty creates caution, clearer guidance may boost confidence among institutional investors. Traders are adjusting short-term activities to minimize tax impact, especially during periods of high yield volatility.
Potential Risks and OpportunitiesRisks include retroactive taxation and compliance hurdles, particularly for users unaware of new regulations. On the upside, clear decentralized finance tax implications could open the door for tax-advantaged decentralized products, attracting new classes of investors.
Background and Context
DeFi emerged as a disruptive financial ecosystem post-2017, driven by Ethereum smart contracts. By bypassing centralized intermediaries, it opened borderless access to financial services. However, this lack of centralized control raised red flags for governments looking to enforce income and asset disclosure. Initial tax frameworks often overlooked DeFi due to its complexity and novelty, but the surge in DeFi’s total value locked (TVL) pushed lawmakers to act. As a result, decentralized finance tax implications have become central in updated regulatory efforts across the globe.
What’s Next?
Expect continued international collaboration, much like the OECD’s crypto asset reporting framework, to standardize taxation practices. Decentralized protocols may begin offering in-app tax summaries or integrations with crypto tax solutions. In the near future, decentralized finance tax implications are likely to influence protocol design—encouraging features that support transparency and user compliance. Investors should watch for updates from major tax bodies and monitor how new amendments take effect over the next fiscal year.
Conclusion
Decentralized finance tax implications are reshaping how governments, investors, and platforms interact within the crypto economy. While regulation introduces challenges, it also paves the way for more sustainable and lawful growth. Stay ahead by educating yourself, keeping detailed records, and consulting crypto-savvy tax professionals. Bookmark this guide for ongoing updates as this critical topic unfolds.

okay i didn’t want to just throw this out without some sort of like idk readmore under it because i felt like maybe its like blasting ur situation out to the public (which posting this still kinda is) n idk if this is really the right channel for this discussion but i wanted to respond because you seem really worried over it
firstly, that’s called revenge porn and there is a federal law against it, recently updated to include when people merge your face over porn with ai; you can indeed sue if you need to especially because these images were firstly taken without consent then followed up by threats of distributing them without consent in a threatening manner
to my knowledge, consequences for her would be 6 months in jail or a $1k fine; from what you’ve shared about her I don’t think she wants that on her record, you all seem to still be in school (?) and that could definitely follow her around especially if this isn’t her first offense. document everything, get in contact with your school, and if things escalate it’s in your best interest to lawyer up for a potential case or a cease and desist (not legally binding but it can indeed help your case if she ignores it); there is free and low cost options as well as programs depending on where you live. I’m not sure how old you are but if you were underage in those photos (bc idk how long yall have been together? Or how long she’s had them) things are considerably worse because just having possession of that means heavier charges against her
once again, document everything; i hope things turn out well for you; i’m not studying law but i’ve had friends go through this 🫩 was this helpful? idk but i truly wish things get better for you😭

Your Hypnotic Words (Updated Version)
Chapter 5: Blame it on the Wizard (Part Two)
-Thorin-
Thorin lay in his sack, musing for a moment on the potential consequences of being eaten by the trolls. He certainly didn’t think it would be pleasant. His quest would be ended prematurely, he wouldn’t be able to reclaim his homeland, his nephews would perish alongside him, his company would suffer the same fate, and Dis would be left on her own. The only thing that consoled him was knowing that Master Baggins had gotten away. He wished he could know that Master Baggins would arrive safely back to his home and return to his normal life. But, he did not believe that would become a reality now.
Shaking his head, he turned slightly towards Nori, keeping his eyes on the trolls as he watched them tie some of the company to their wooden spit. “Do you still have your knife in your boot?”
“Course,” Nori said. “Been trying to remove it for the time we’ve been in here. I’m close enough. They only took our obvious weapons - they were too dumb to search for the other ones.”
When his sister-sons had come rushing back to the campsite to alert them of the trolls’ presence, there had been a flurry of action, grabbing weapons and debating about how they should deal with the creatures. He’d been in the middle of securing his weapons when they mentioned leaving the hobbit where the trolls were.
Without a second thought, he had taken off. He felt akin to a madman as he raced in the direction of the trolls’ campsite, naught but the thought of the fragile hobbit amid creatures that could easily squash him with no more than a squeeze of their fist in his mind. He knew in the back of his mind he wasn’t acting reasonably, when it came to the hobbit, his sense took quick leave and left him to fumble through words and actions.
And that led him to burst into the campsite, no plan laid out, and not knowing what to expect. He’d been faced with a surprised hobbit (whose face quickly crumbled to disappointment or frustration?) and trolls that seemed to be dazed for some reason before they roared and attacked the company.
When he’d heard the trolls call for them to stop, he’d ignored it, but when he caught sight of the hobbit in the grip of the trolls’, he froze. Panic, unlike what he’d felt before, flooded his body and for a moment he was unable to think. It wasn’t until the hobbit’s face contorted in pain that Thorin came to, casting his weapon onto the ground.
As they were tied up, Thorin kept his gaze fastened on Bilbo, watching for any incremental display of pain, panic rising again as the trolls moved his One closer to the pot until he was hovering right over it. His mind raced, trying to think of something to say, anything that would stop or at least delay the trolls.
“Put him down! You don’t want to eat him!”
“That’s right! He has . . . Worms!”
Thorin was hard-pressed to think of a time he’d been more grateful for his nephews.
As Bilbo was moved further away from the pot, he felt his anxiousness and fear begin to ease. He couldn't tell which were his feelings and which were Bilbo's, the fear and anxiety all jumbled.
And then the hobbit sank his teeth into the troll’s hand and tore away its flesh.
When the scream came from the troll, dropping the hobbit, who landed on the ground like a cat before darting off at the company’s urging, Thorin found himself blinking in surprise, and to some extent, grimly satisfied that the hobbit was able to protect himself, and relieved that he was able to escape. Who knew his One's teeth were so sharp?
His thoughts were soon echoed.
“I didn’t realize his teeth were that sharp.” Bofur’s voice came out an octave higher than usual. “Remind me not to upset a hobbit if we make it, eh?”
The only response Bofur got were wordless nods, all the dwarrow similarly wide-eyed and speechless.
-Bilbo-
Nerves coiled in his stomach as Bilbo approached the glow of the campsite. He found himself crouched behind the large bush, watching half of the dwarrow being turned on a spit, and the other spitting insults at the trolls, only serving to make them angrier.
“Don’t bother cooking them. Let’s just sit on them and squash them into jelly.”
“They should be sauteed and grilled with a sprinkle of sage,” Bert argued.
Deciding that the rock near the trolls was the safest place to enact his plan, Bilbo crept slowly through the brush, careful not to make any noise - he had no wish to be handled more than he already had been. His ribs were smarting, and his shoulders ached from the pulling.
The ponies in the fence began to whine as he drew near. Holding a finger to his lips, he shushed the ponies as he passed by. “It’ll be okay.” His words were a whisper, but infused with his power, they calmed, still shifting uneasily.
Successfully making it around the ponies and to the back of the rock, Bilbo paused. He couldn’t see the trolls without them seeing him, unless he peered around the side, which then would lead to the dwarrow seeing him, and he couldn’t risk that - not when they were unaware of his being able to talk. He found a compromise, sitting on the other side of the rock, closer to the bushes surrounding the rock than the rock itself. With that, he’d be able to see the dwarrow and trolls, albeit the view would be hindered.
He had discovered early in life that he had a talent for mimicry. He’d been told by his mother that one day he had gone out to play. When she had come out to get him she had heard his grandmother’s voice. It was to her shock when she discovered that it had been Bilbo, playing by himself yet speaking in her voice. He’d also had some talent in “throwing his voice”.  He could make it seem as if he spoke from somewhere else, an oddity which once more set him apart from regular hobbits, but which came in quite handy in the current situation. He had no intention of allowing the trolls to know where he truly was.
Bilbo breathed shakily. He prayed to the Valar that what he was about to do would work. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. Trying to eat dwarrow like that is quite a horrible idea.”
His voice brushed through the campsite, loud and clear, it was spoken in a brusque but familiar manner - like Gandalf. The trolls whipped their heads around, searching for the source of the voice, the dwarrow following suit.
“Who are ya?” William’s eyes were squinted as he peered around.
“A friend.”
“Friend of us or friend of these here dwarves?”
“Friend of yours, of course. I too wish to partake of the cooked dwarrow.”
“What’s that about cooking the dwarves wrong?” Bert asked.
“I am a . . . connoisseur of sorts when it comes to the consumption of dwarrow.”
“A coni-what?” Bert scratched his stomach.
Bilbo sighed. Of course, the trolls didn’t know what that was. “I’ve eaten many dwarrow and know the best way to cook them.” Best to be blunt and get to the point.
“And what’s the best way to cook ‘em?”
“Are you aware that the first dwarrow was carved from stone?”
“Stone?”
“Yes, keep up.” he snarked.
William clearly disliked Bilbo waiting to tell them how to cook the dwarrow. “Stone’s got nothing to do with cooking!”
“Since they were originally made from stone, dwarrow are incredibly tough to bite into and chew. They also taste like the smoke from their forges - not an appealing flavor.”
“Then what do we do?”
“You must marinate and tenderize them first.”
“Pah.” William spat. “We don’t have time to marin’ae. We’ll just tenderize them. Bill, get me club.”
The dwarrow eyes widened in horror and Bilbo had to suppress a shout, mind whirling to come up with something before all the dwarrow were smashed.
“Have you smelt them?” he spoke quickly. “You need to marinate this lot for a while before you can plate them up.”
“Never mind how good they taste, we’re hungry.” William lifted his club.
“Wait! There’s another reason you have to marinate them before you tenderize them!”
“And what’s that?” William sneered.
“Did you not hear these dwarrow speaking of the worms that were in the creature you just lost? They have been undoubtedly infected by them as well! If you tenderize the dwarrow before marinating, the worms in the dwarrow will live and you’ll have them too.” He grimaced at the weak defense, but it was the only one he had.
“I don’t want no worms,” Bert said, looking at the dwarrow uneasily.
“Me either,” Tom mumbled.
William's face soured. “You just don’ want us to eat ‘em! You want them all for yourself!
Behind the rock, Bilbo shrugged. He did want the dwarrow to himself, mainly so they wouldn't die.
"I won't let you take them!"
Bilbo watched with wide eyes as William lifted his club and swung.
"Stop!"
The word burst from Bilbo with a choking force, and everything went silent. Eerily so. Nothing sounded, not even the wind rustled the branches. A slight peek to the side of the rock revealed frozen trolls, William's club stopped in the air, and frozen dwarrow, their faces all in varying stages of panic.
Bilbo coughed, a heavy force resting upon his shoulders and forcing him to his knees. The taste of blood dripped over his lips and he licked it away as he focused on breathing through the pain.
Controlling the trolls hadn't been very difficult, with them being the dull creatures they were, but adding thirteen dwarrow on top was suffocating.
His mind felt as if it was being compressed and shriveled, pressure mounting behind his eyes and it felt as if they would burst. He braced his arms against the ground as the pressure began to shake, his control waning.
The minutes felt like hours and he strained to look towards the distance. The sun still wouldn't reach over the rock in time if he released his control at the moment.
Bilbo couldn’t stop them anymore. He grimaced, shutting his eyes and hoping that it would end quickly as his control slipped.
A gentle hand pressed against his shoulder. “I’ll take it from here, my dear boy.” Gandalf lifted his staff. “May the dawn take you all!” Slamming his staff back down onto the rock, splitting it in half.
Light spilled into the crack, allowing the sun to reach the trolls. They held their hands up to shield themselves, but it was pointless as their bodies stiffened, turning into gray, hard stone.
A cheer rose from the dwarrow.
“Gandalf! You’re here!”
“I knew the Wizard wouldn’t let us die!”
"Stay here. Collect yourself." Gandalf's voice contained thinly contained concern and he pressed his hand once more against Bilbo's shoulder before he rounded the rock, greeting the dwarrow.
Bilbo leaned weakly against the rock, wiping away the blood that dripped from his nose and over his lips. The weight was relieved, he could breathe easier, yet his body shook. Clasping his shaking hands together, he pressed his forehead against them, swiping away the cold sweat he found there.
Breath evening, Bilbo clung to the rock for support as he stood on wobbly legs. He rounded the rock as well, finding his way to Gandalf, standing behind the wizard. The wizard was surrounded and bombarded with questions regarding splitting the rock. It seemed that none of the dwarrow recalled the force that had frozen the trolls and themselves.
Thorin approached Gandalf. “Where did you go?”
“To look ahead.”
“What brought you back?”
“Bilbo here came to find me to alert me to your plight.” he chuckled, pushing Bilbo forward toward the group.
Bilbo found himself arrested by Thorin’s eyes. They drifted over him, and the dwarf's mouth opened to speak.
Hands grasped him and his stomach dropped as he was hoisted into the air and placed on Fili’s shoulders. He fell forward, grasping the blonde hair of the dwarf. The indignity!
“That’s our hobbit!” Kili cheered, the rest of the dwarrow cheering as well.
Fili bounced on his feet and Bilbo held on for what felt like dear life. These dwarrows had absolutely no boundaries! He gasped slightly as the pain around his midsection flared, courtesy of the squeezing of the trolls and Fili’s jumping. He felt his body was going to break soon, too tired to hold himself up for much longer.
Luckily, he wasn’t subject to Fili’s bouncing anymore as he was caught by the back of his coat, and placed back on his feet, to his immense relief.
“Leave the lad alone.” Dwalin rumbled. “He’s already been handled by the trolls, no need for you to add yours as well.”
Bilbo found himself feeling grateful for a dwarf for the second time that day.
Oin hustled forward. “Speaking of - lift up your shirt, lad. Don’t think I didn’t see you wincing.”
Bilbo shook his head adamantly. There was no need, he was simply a little sore, and there was no way he would remove his shirt in front of so many dwarrow.
“We’ll be seeing a lot more of you later, lad. Not much privacy on the road.” Oin said. “Come on, take it off.”
Frowning, Bilbo shrugged off his coat and unbuttoned his waistcoat. When he reached his shirt, he simply pulled it up to reveal his ribs. That was as much as Oin was going to get, like it or not.
Oin sighed as if knowing that and began gently prodding Bilbo’s ribs. Bilbo grimaced as the healer’s hands pressed on a particularly tender spot.
Glancing to ensure he was okay, Oin went lower down. When Oin’s hands brushed his left side, Bilbo jolted.
Oin’s brows furrowed. “What’s th-”
Bilbo dropped his shirt, pushing away from Oin’s hands. The healer had certainly gotten enough of a look at Bilbo, and he wasn’t going to acquiesce anymore. Oin looked at him suspiciously and Bilbo met his gaze. There was no need for the dwarf to know anything about Bilbo or vice versa.
“How is he?”
Thorin’s appearance surprised him, the dwarf king looming over the two. Oin glanced at him, eyes still lingering on Bilbo. “He’s okay. He’ll have some light bruising on his ribs - nothing’s broken, but I’ll give him some herbs to help alleviate the pain and some salve to help with the bruising. Exhausted, too, but he should be fine after some good rest.”
“Good.” Thorin nodded perfunctorily and looked towards him. “Be more careful next time, hobbit. You being injured will affect the company and we cannot afford delays.”
He had to bite back a retort saying that he was the one who had saved Thorin’s company, but nodded, keeping his gaze low. Something about dwarf made him feel . . . strange, and he did not like it.
“There’s a cave!”
The cry came from Kili, and there was a great clamor from the dwarrow rushing towards Kili and demanding he lead them to the cave.
Bilbo followed begrudgingly, leaning on Gandalf for support, but trying to not make it too obvious.
As they reached where the trolls had lived, Bilbo sat down on a nearby rock, still trying to calm his shaking hands.
He heard something about making a “long-term investment” before his attention was drawn elsewhere.
Gandalf pressed the small sword into Bilbo’s hand. “Bilbo, here. This is about your size.”
He pulled it out slightly to eye the silver metal. He shook his head, holding it back out to Gandalf. He was completely fine without a weapon. Not that it would be much use even if he did take it, he had never handled a weapon before and feared that he might end up harming himself while trying to use it. So it was no good.
“The blade is of Elvish make, which means it will glow blue when orcs or goblins are nearby.”
Bilbo held it back even more firmly. He wasn’t going to meet any orcs or goblins on this quest. Nope, not one. (Bilbo thought this, but it obviously was an unreasonable expectation.)
“Master Baggins, it’d do you well to have a weapon - something to protect yourself with.”
Bilbo found an involuntary shiver run through his spine at the rough timbre of the voice as he turned to face the speaker, meeting dark blue eyes. Thorin stood behind him, arms folded, gazing at him with expectation. “Since you do not know how to use such a weapon, as is obvious from your soft hands, Fili and Kili shall teach you.”
Too tired to put up a fight, Bilbo gave a tired nod.
“Something’s coming!”
“Stay together! Hurry now, arm yourselves.”
The dwarrow drew near to one another, weapons in hand.
A ragged man burst from the trees on . . . was that a sled? “Thieves! Fire! Murder!”
“Radagast!” Gandalf exclaimed, then to the dwarrow. “It’s Radagast the Brown.”
The dwarrow lowered their weapons incrementally, eyes still suspicious. Gandalf pulled him a ways off, and they spoke in hushed tones as the company stood, anxious.
Something rustled from the trees again, something fast approaching, with dark intent. Bilbo shuddered at the feeling, watching as the dwarrow seemed to notice something off as well, raising their weapons again.
The first to lunge from the trees met a swift end at Thorin's blade. Kili was quick to draw and shoot the second one, and its death was sealed by Dwalin's Warhammer coming down on it.
Bilbo found himself momentarily stunned. After the trolls, his processing capabilities were quickly declining.
“Warg scouts!" Thorin hissed. "Which means an Orc pack is not far behind.”
“Who did you tell of your quest beyond your kin?” Gandalf demanded, eyes lingering on the dead wargs.
“No one.” Thorin watched the wizard carefully.
“Who did you tell?”
“No one, I swear! What in Durin’s name is going on?”
Gandalf muttered under his breath. “You are being hunted!”
“We have to get out of here,” Dwalin said.
“We can’t! We have no ponies! They bolted!” Gloin shouted.
“I’ll draw them off.” Radagast stood by his sled, rabbits jumping nervously.
Gandalf shook his head. “These are Gundabad Wargs, they will outrun you!”
Radagast smiled. “These are Rhosgobel rabbits! I’d like to see them try!”
"Balin, no!" Thorin yanked Balin back, saving him from revealing their position.
They stayed behind the rock. His heart pounded painfully and he grasped the hilt of his new weapon tightly. Though not knowing how to use it, Bilbo was grateful for its presence. They didn't stay for much longer, Gandalf gesturing them on. Bilbo ran forward with the group, hearing the whooping of Radagast. They did not run for long, hiding behind a rock again as an orc slowed, pulling its mount towards their direction.
Bilbo swallowed hard as the warg's nails scraped against the rock. With bated breath, he watched as Kili drew his bow and notched an arrow, waiting for Thorin's signal. With a nod from Thorin, Kili swung out, releasing the arrow. The creatures fell, but not dead. The warg growled and the orc snarled as they fought, resulting in their deaths.
There was a horn sounded.
The orcs knew where they were.
"Move, go!" Gandalf shouted.
The company sprinted, following where Gandalf led, listening as the growling and howls grew closer and closer. Gandalf seemed to lead them with no direction in mind as they raced through the maze of rock and open field, they came to an area, rock centered in the middle. They stopped as orcs and wargs emerged from all sides.
"Kili, shoot them! Shoot them down!" Thorin roared.
"We're surrounded!" Fili yelled.
Kili looked about frantically, arrows flying from his bow. "Where is Gandalf?"
"Has he abandoned us?" Dwalin growled.
As the wargs and orcs circled, Bilbo pulled out his sword, holding it defensively.
Thorin brandished his blade. "Hold your ground!"
"This way you fools!" Bilbo nearly cried at the sound of Gandalf's voice, turning to see him gesturing wildly to the rock he'd disappeared on.
Thorin wasted no time. "All of you, go, go!"
Bilbo began to run, and the wargs decided to pounce towards their group. Dwarrow passed him easily as they ran, his body weak.
The wargs were fast approaching - panic told Bilbo he could feel their breath. He should have gone back when he had the chance - should have left the dwarrow to their fate. He was far too tired and drained to make it much further, much less use his voice.
The warg lunged and he braced for pain, but none came - Thorin pushing him away and blade swift, saving Bilbo from a no doubt would've been a fatal attack.
“Dwalin!” Thorin shouted. "Get him to the rocks!"
Bilbo’s legs gave in, but a strong arm latched around his stomach and heaved him up. Dwalin ran unhindered with Bilbo under his arm, an impressive feat. (At least it was to Bilbo. Despite their eating habits, Hobbits were quite light, especially to dwarrow who spent their lives wielding and making heavy weaponry. In all consideration, Bilbo Baggins was lighter than Dwalin’s Warhammer (a fact that resulted in him being teased relentlessly later on). He was shifted as Dwalin made a beeline for the rock that Gandalf had disappeared from, and instead of being under his arm, was cradled. Without so much as a grunt, Dwalin spotted and jumped into the hole that Gandalf had entered, sliding to the bottom with Bilbo in his arms.
Once at the bottom, Dwalin set Bilbo down and clambered back up, hammers drawn. There was a tense silence, listening to the fighting occur up above when the rest of the dwarrow finally slid down into the hole, Thorin and Dwalin both landing heavily, Dwalin going immediately to the head of the group to scout the potential path.
There was a mighty noise from above, and Bilbo started as an orc came tumbling down the hole, an arrow stuck in it. Thorin yanked the arrow out, eyeing it. "Elves." he spat.
"I can't see where the pathway leads! Do we follow it or not?" Dwalin called.
"Follow it, of course!" yelled Fili. He was looking eager to get as far away as possible from the rock entrance.
The group moved forward slowly, through the twisting path that grew more and more strenuous as they continued forward, the incline rising and the cavern closing in. Many of the dwarrow had to turn sideways to squeeze through the tighter gaps - thankfully Bilbo did not have that issue. A faint light appeared ahead, and something rose in his chest with it. A feeling not unlike magic. As they emerged from the path, Bilbo marveled.
Gandalf smiled. "The Valley of Imraldis. In the Common Tongue, it is known by another name."
Rivendell, the last homely house, was ethereal.
Nestled within the tall cliff, and stretched across the falls the poured, it seemed to glow in the sun. The pines surrounding it contrasted with the light structure, and the light streaming through their branches seemed to flutter like gossamer in the air. The scent of pine, water, and damp earth mingled together as they walked down the path toward Rivendell.
Though he didn't believe they would ever admit it, he saw many of the dwarrow admiring the structure and the earth that surrounded it. Animals scampered about, birds chirping high in the trees, squirrels darting through the grass, and even a few deer walking through the forest a distance away.
It was peaceful, and a soft blanket of safety seemed to lie over it.
As they grew closer, the tension seemed to seep from his body, leaving bone-deep exhaustion behind, steps growing heavy and slow.
"Come now, Mr. Baggins. We're nearly there." Bofur's encouragement was gentle, and Bilbo leaned into that, pushing the last steps over the bridge and into the courtyard of Rivendell, the stone warm beneath his feet.
Gandalf greeted the elf that met them, inquiring after the Lord of Rivendell (Bilbo found himself too tired to listen). The conversation was shortly broken by the sound of many approaching horses.
Bilbo was pushed into the middle of a circle, as a group of elves entered the courtyard on horseback, tight against a soft coat and leather strap. He sagged into the sturdy frame, seeking support. He only hoped it wasn’t Gloin. He'd prefer if it was Bofur.
A soft touch drew his attention downwards to a hand that gripped his snugly, not tightly. It was a rough hand, small scars scattered across the back of it with a thickly calloused hand. Nails were short and blunt, a thin layer of dark hair brushed across the knuckles. He was unsure if it was the warmth that made him feel less tired, but he found him sinking forward further into the dwarf.
He peeked through a small gap in the circle, watching as an elf dismounted from his horse.
The elf approached the group, tall and lithe, hair laying flat and dark down his back. His armor gleamed in the lowering sun.
"Gandalf."
"Lord Elrond."
They embraced, Lord Elrond, giving a heavy pat on Gandalf's shoulder. The next words they spoke were in elvish, based upon the light and airy quality of the words. Eventually, they switched back to the Common Tongue.
"Strange for Orcs to come so close to our borders. Something or someone has drawn them near."
Bilbo didn't miss the pointed glance towards the company.
Gandalf looked near chagrinned, or as close to it as he could've gotten. "That may have been us."
Lord Elrond raised a brow and the corners of his mouth twitched upwards before he turned his attention more fully to the company.
"Welcome, Thorin, son of Thrain." The elf bent his head in greeting.
"I do not believe we have met." Thorin said stiffly, rumbling from right in front of Bilbo, and the grip on his hand tightened slightly. Sweet Yvanna, he was holding Thorin's hand. Embarrassment flushed through him and he could feel the tips of his ears and the back of his neck turn pink.
"You have your grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled under the mountain." Lord Elrond's voice was calm, inviting.
"Indeed; he made no mention of you." Unlike Lord Elrond, Thorin's voice sought to belittle, and Bilbo near groaned. How could the dwarf be so rude to an elf who was their only source of potential food and good rest? If Thorin somehow managed to get them kicked out, Bilbo would have his retribution.
-Thorin-
Thorin could feel Bilbo’s exhaustion emanating from him in weak pulses. When his One’s head rested against his back, his heart thundered - Bilbo was seeking his comfort and he would not be one to deny it.
With a careful hand, he grasped Bilbo’s hand, keeping his grip easy to break if Bilbo wished to pull away. His heart pounded harder as instead of pulling away, Bilbo leaned into the touch.
"Welcome, Thorin, son of Thrain."
Thorin frowned. He did not know this elf, and he did not want to. "I do not believe we've met."
"You have your grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled under the mountain."
His lips curled this time. This treeshagger had no right to speak of his father or even call him a 'friend'. "Indeed; he made no mention of you." Fighting back the impulse to spit at the elf's feet, Thorin turned away as he felt a surge of 'want for rest' and 'want for food'.
The elf turned away, back towards Gandalf, saying something elvish. Thorin gripped his blade.
“Does he offer us insult?” Gloin readied to fight. And Thorin did the same, tightening his grip on his hilt.
Gandalf looked disapprovingly at the dwarf. “No, Master Gloin, he offers you food.”
His immediate thought was to reject the offer. He would not be dining with treeshaggers, and he would put himself anywhere where he'd be surrounded by him. But a tight squeeze, and the feeling of 'aching hunger' curled through him as he opened his mouth to refuse. Bilbo.
Bilbo was a hobbit, and very delicate. The ordeal from earlier had obviously worn him out and Thorin could feel his hunger. Bilbo needed to eat and rest, somewhere . . . safe (the word was decided upon after much mental battle). At least safe from the orcs and wargs; they wouldn't dare to come into a territory in which they'd be immediately killed. He had a feeling Bilbo had something to do with him not protesting as he wished to when they'd emerged from the path, choosing to sulk instead and follow Gandalf.
With finality, Thorin lowered his weapon. "Very well. Show us the way."
-Bilbo-
Lord Elrond led the group through the halls of Rivendell, directing them into a large dining room where a long table sat and then a smaller table up on a platform.
The dwarrow took their seats, awaiting the meal, and Lord Elrond, Gandalf, and Thorin took their seats at the taller table.
Though he would've preferred to wash before eating, Bilbo was much too hungry to care for propriety at the moment.
Bilbo's stomach rumbled in anticipation as the food was placed before them. The bowls contained a variety of salads: fruit salads, salads with vinaigrettes, and salads decorated with fresh tomatoes and radishes, the table was decorated colorfully and he had an appreciation for its setting before serving himself a heaping serving of salad and sinking his teeth into the meal with gusto. With the first bite of the salad, his eyes rolled back into his head and he gave a hum of appreciation.
While the other dwarrow seemed more intent on nitpicking and interrogating the meal, Bilbo licked the acidic vinaigrette that coated his lips. Elves, though not known for their cooking, were marvelous at it. It must have come from many years of practice and perfecting recipes - he envied what their collection of recipes would look like.
"I am happy to see you enjoying the food, Master Baggins."
Bilbo looked up at Elrond and nodded before turning back to his food. He wished he could speak to the elf, wished to ask him a great many things, but with such company and a voice such as his, he found it better to stay quiet.
"I'm sure Bilbo would have loved to speak with you, Lord Elrond. If he could speak, that is."
"I would love to speak with him as well, but I can make do."
He looked up in curiosity at the elf's words.
'How are you enjoying your meal, Master Baggins?'
He knew of only a few that could sign with him, being his aunts and grandfather, no one else had much cared to learn. Lord Elrond knowing it surprised him, though he supposed it shouldn't, being that Lord Elrond was an elf after all, and must know a great many languages.
'Delightful. The food is exquisite and I am in great admiration of your chef's talent.'
'To know that pleases me. If you are amicable, I would give you some of our recipes.'
His heart thrummed in excitement. To have elvish recipes? Lobelia Sackville-Baggins would be green with envy. He nodded eagerly. 'Having them would be an honor.'
Elrond smiled. "Then it is decided."
"What are you speaking about?" Thorin demanded, eyes wary.
"I simply wished to share with your hobbit companion some of our recipes, seeing as he's enjoying the food so much."
Bilbo felt himself curl in at Thorin's scrutinizing stare and finished the rest of his meal without signing.
---
Much like Rivendell, the craftmanship of elven beds was simply divine. Soft and downy, Bilbo found himself sinking in right away, giving an appreciative sigh as the silky sheets brushed over his skin. He felt much better now, cleaned, fed, and now resting.
It had been a fight to get his own room - not because the elves weren't willing, but rather because of the company. They were stubborn about the strangest things, insisting that they all sleep in the same room to prevent any surprise attacks from the elves. Bilbo thought them ridiculous and insisted (as much as he could with hand signals and glaring) that he would be sleeping in a room of his own; he needed time away from all the dwarrow and their overwhelming presence.
Surprisingly, Thorin had been the one to grant him his want, begrudgingly telling him that it was fine. Bilbo wasn't sure as to why Thorin seemed so strange when he did so, but he was grateful nonetheless.
Overwhelmed by the day's events, Bilbo curled inwards to himself, breathed deeply, and let himself sleep.

Rating Pecharunt's TCG Cards
As before, I do not play TCG, I just like the art and vibes.
Same ranking as before, let's go :D
(Also I may get the names of the cards wrong, please correct me if I'm wrong)
Shrouded Fable Card
Tumblr media
Okay I really like this one :D
It gives off pleasure and simply happy vibes, like maybe this is Pecharunt's home region or something, like when he lived with the old couple!
It's simple, but I like it.
I also enjoy how we do see what he's looking at, it's probably unintentional, but I like it nonetheless.
Score: 9/10 (Not perfect because it reminds me of the Untold Story of Pecharunt so ew)
Shrouded Fable Card (Rare Illustration)
Tumblr media
This one is also really pretty :D
Like the Loyal 3's cards the art doesn't disappoint and I'm just like YIPPPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Score: 8/10 (pretty art but the colors blend in a bit and makes it hard to see my boi)
Night Wanderer Card (Regular Print)
Tumblr media
Like the others, this one is just eh to me. I still really like it, and the chains look dope as hell, but I'm just eh :/
Score: 5/10 (there's potential but it just feels off)
Night Wanderer Card (Ultra Rare Print)
Tumblr media
This one also feels like they just slapped the model on an Instagram AI filter and went with it.
Maybe it looks better in person? I dunno
Score: 4/10 (same reasons as the Loyal 3)
Night Wanderer Card (Hyper Rare)
Tumblr media
Same thing but GOLD NOW WOOOOO
It looks cooler in gold though, so this one is higher.
Score: 6/10 (it's pretty)
Night Wanderer Card (Special Illustration Rare)
Tumblr media
This one is probably my favorite out of all the Pecharunt cards. (Although it just might be my AU brainrot projecting onto it)
Because it's how I imagined Dokutaro's mindscape thing to be when he hijacks Kieran's body, it's just this endless void of Toxic Chains with no way out and in the center of it all is the peachy boy :D
Like it reminds me of Toxic Consequences AU and I like it a lot :D
Score: 10/10
And for the one I know I'll get asks about (even if I don't wanna do it)
Binding Mochi Card
Tumblr media
Ignoring the VERY OBVIOUS REFERENCE AS TO WHAT THIS IS FROM.... it's a nice card?
The art is simple, but I like it. The background is the weird Instagram AI filter thing, but hey, it works here. It gives off that distorted warped effect that I imagine what happens when you eat it.
Of course it loses points for being from the epilouge I refuse to mention
Score: 3/10 (cool art if you ignore what it's from)
As always, I will update this post with more cards if more are announced.

Note
It’s been 7 days since the Yapp. YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANSSSSS.
Well, get to it you yappers (also I feel bad for just… not saying anything about the au you talked about last time especially because you spent MULTIPLE POSTS to explain it, Tumblr was being funky and wouldn’t let me do a lot.. I thought it was super cool tho)
-Sigma Anon 🦄🦄🦄✨✨✨💅💅💅
Hiiiii Sigma Anon! It's already been 7 days? Gosh, time sure does fly, huh.
As usual, I have no idea what to yap about, haha. And Moongleam isn't available currently to "yell" at me to choose something. I have too many options, and my brain kind of freezes up in panic, haha...
But that's why she tells me to use a wheel to help choose for me I guess. Very usefull thing, might I add
Unless it lands on something I'm not in the mood to talk about... Which happens more often, than not. Which is fine, I just choose the next option, but meh. I dunno. And some times, for example with the Atlantis AU, I just power through the beginning, and get into rambling. Unless interupted by evil food making me almost throw up... Also don't worry about not saying anything about what I ramble about. I kinda just talk into the void when it's Yapp Time, haha. But I'm happy you found it cool!
Anyway, the Wheel has chosen, but I have decided to ignore that choice, because I hate myself :D
I'm going to complain about always coming up with new stories, but never actually sitting down to write. I know I should, but whenever I do actually sit down and start, all my will to live (or write) disintegrates Which, as one would guess is pretty damm frustrating. Like, brain, could you please kindly stop pumping out idea after idea, and let me finish one story, plese?? While my brain is like "Ooooo sHiNyYyY ✨✨✨✨ and the best I can do is give you several quarters of a story (with potentially multiple endings that I like equally) and yearning to write ❤️"
And I'm left with an army of ideas, that I get way too attached to way too easily, but no actual story finished. And it makes me very agitated, because I feel like the stories deserve to be written and finished, but at this rate, I'll never be done
Especially since I mentioned I have burned myself out pretty badly a couple years ago, and still suffer the consequences of it, haha...
Anyway, I should stop complaining. Btw I dunno how curious anyone who reads this is, but the Wheel originally selected my already once mentioned Warrior Cats TSAMS AU, with the second option being my MASM AU, titled God Games, and third being another MASM AU of mine titled Wouldn't You Like (yes, both share titles with songs from Epic the musical, sue me), both have been mentioned once or twice by me, but I didn't feel like nor had the time/energy to talk about those AUs
But enough about me, how are you, Sugarplum? I'm also giving the mic to Moongleam, she's probably got more interesting stuff to talk about
I don't have anything more interesting to talk about 👍
Like the country got another bomb threat aimed at different schools this time, we watched Sonic 3 yesterday which is why I was out for the entirety of the day yesterday, and today we had visitors and I haven't written a single word for SEA, so update's coming tomorrow I think
Insteeeeead I was working on a completely different story that I'm not going to tell too much about. It'l be called something along the lines of "I refuse!", it'll be canon divergence and from my go to guy's pov. It is kinda venty I guess, so it's main topic ain't exactly sunshine and rainbows.
And like the entirety of yesterday was also kinda meh, aside from the movie. So like we know there's a bomb threat in a school not too far for us, and I got off at like 12, while the movie started at 17:30. So I had to kill a bunch of time, but luckily one of my girlies was there with me, because funnily enough she works at the Cinema we went to. So I spent the yesterday after she left for her shift in a writing frenzy, and yet I'm still not even half-way with what I'm writing rn 💔
You now, Sugarcube

It's frustrating how this is being billed as a preemptive measure when covid wastewater levels have been high or very high since at least June. Better than nothing, but we should demand better than "better than nothing."

SANTA CRUZ — In anticipation of respiratory virus levels spiking during the coming fall and winter months, Santa Cruz County’s top public health official issued a protective order Wednesday that will take effect in a few weeks.
County Health Officer Lisa Hernandez declared that, starting Nov. 1, masks will be required among all visitors and personnel working in local acute care facilities, nursing facilities, surgical and maternity centers and infusion centers — including dialysis and chemotherapy — to tamp down the spread of respiratory viruses among vulnerable communities and the general population.
The three familiar culprits — influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, and COVID-19 — have been known to spread widely during the colder months and this year is not expected to be any different, carrying potential for serious consequences.
“These respiratory viruses can lead to severe illness especially among certain groups such as infants, older adults, pregnant women, and those with a weakened immune system,” Hernandez said in the release. “This Order is issued to curb the spread of these viruses to vulnerable populations and minimize the risk of severe illness and death.”
The order applies to all health care personnel and visitors regardless of vaccination status and masks must be worn at all times while indoors and conducting direct patient care or while visiting patient care areas.
Still, that doesn’t mean vaccines should be ignored. In fact, quite the opposite, the release noted. Vaccination remains the best way to protect individuals from infection, hospitalization or death from COVID-19 and influenza while also reducing the risk of spreading the viruses to others, according to the release. The updated recipe for the COVID vaccine was given final approval for release last month by national health authorities and doses have since become available at local health care providers and pharmacies across the county. Community members can reach out to their primary care provider or a pharmacy at a local Safeway, Walgreens or CVS, among others, for scheduling and availability.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also recommended that adults 75 years and older receive the RSV vaccine as well as individuals 60 years and older who are at increased risk for severe RSV illness. The RSV vaccine is also recommended for pregnant people between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy.
When it comes to COVID specifically, public health preparations for the long winter ahead come on the heels of a busy summer season of infections. According to the county’s COVID tracker, the virus was actively spreading in the community from about mid-April to early August. Wastewater and other data models indicate virus levels have continued to drop ever since.
