Welcome to Suzanne's Music Studio, the premier teaching studio for voice and singing lessons located in Havre de Grace, MD. Private lessons with Suzanne can help you understand techniques which can expand your singing range, vocal power and colors, and expressive ability, as well as help you find more enjoyment in singing. Each program is individualized instruction where we explore mechanics of the body that produce the singing voice! Depending on a student's needs, we can also delve into stress therapy. I feel it's important to feel comfortable with your vocal instructor in order to be able to explore your voice. I’m proud of my flexibility to adapt to each student’s needs and wants. Then with the command of a few areas of the body, each person can release his/her entire voice. Through this freedom, one can more fully enjoy his/her own singing and self-expression

Students' Accomplishments: Individuals study with me for varying reasons: professional aspirations, personal achievements, personal growth, and stress therapy. So their accomplishments are far greater than what can be labeled here. However, my students have been: signed with a record label to whom I introduced; sang professionally (both locally and on Broadway); offered large college scholarships (as high as $88,000) and accepted into several college music programs, even as prestigious as New York University's Tisch Program, Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and Berklee College of Music; cast as principal roles in high school, middle school and community productions, selected for Carnegie Hall Middle School and High School Honors Programs, (Maryland) All-State, All-Shore, All-County and All-Eastern Choruses; chosen as winners in the District Auditions for the National Association of Teachers of Singing; featured as soloists in community choruses and church choirs; received other community-based scholarships; and most have “found their voice”.

Singing Teacher

As a singing teacher and performer, have the knowledge, skills, and experience to be able to provide students with the best vocal training in Harford and Howard Counties of Maryland. I have been a featured performer with the Austin Symphony, Washington National Opera, the Baltimore Symphony, Lyric Opera of Baltimore, Opera Moderne and The Baltimore Opera Company, as well as many others. Some of my favorite roles are Santuzza "Cavalleria Rusticana", Ulrica "Un Ballo in Maschera", Jade Boucher "Dead Man Walking", Rose "Lakmé", Giovanna "Rigolette" Pollina "Queen of Spades", Marsinah "Kismet" and Mother Superior "Showboat". Additionally, I hold Masters of Music and Bachelors of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. All these accomplishments make me a prime choice as a professional singing coach. My primary interest is to listen and connect to my students, and allow their inhibitions about singing to disappear. Then through exploration we develop, build, and free each persons potential, and exceed each initial goals. Vocal Training

At Suzanne's Music Studio, individualized approaches to vocal training are my specialty. I work with students as young as 10 years old and have students as mature as 80. My main goal is to see all of my students blossom into confident singers. They often exceed their own goals. We take the skills each develops during voice lessons and utilize them in most musical genres including classical, musical theater, rock and roll as well as jazz, etc...
