What Is an Impact Assessment Report and Why Does It Matter?
An Impact Assessment Report is a crucial document that evaluates the potential outcomes—social, environmental, and economic—of a project before it begins. This report plays a vital role in guiding businesses, CSR initiatives, NGOs, and government programs toward responsible decision-making. It highlights possible risks, predicts positive impacts, and ensures resources are used effectively. By identifying challenges early, an impact assessment report supports better planning and sustainable development. In the world of corporate responsibility and social impact, such assessments are key to long-term success and accountability.

Healthcare model evaluation for a large real estate group in North India
Case Summary
We evaluated diversification strategies for a real estate player that wanted to make a foray into healthcare given the immense growth potential of the industry, including recommendations on the appropriate business model, economics and critical success factors.
The options presented include a strong futuristic view on healthcare and allied services, including assisted living and alternative medical facilities.
Situation
The client, a large real estate company from North India, owned a 90-acre land parcel, about 60 km from Jaipur, Rajasthan. The client wanted to utilize the land to establish an appropriate healthcare facility.
Camomile was appointed to evaluate various healthcare models that could be applicable and develop a comprehensive framework to recommend the most appropriate options.
Intervention
Camomile healthcare’s consultants studied the key factors that would influence the decision on the choice of facility market, compliance, operational requirements and financing.
We also looked at best in class examples (Indian & international) of the various models considered for the project, including critical success factors and typical project economics
Impact
Camomile presented a comprehensive framework comparing multiple healthcare models based on key parameters. We also recommended the most suitable model for the land parcel covering land area utilization, facility configuration, capital expenditure and operations design. Our case studies of best-in-class examples allowed stakeholders to clearly visualize the requirements for potential projects and envision the final form this facility would take

Inspired By Art / Project Evaluation
•During this project I researched 2 different artists for my recreating still life project, one artist being David Cahill and the other was Donald MacDonald. I came across both artists on Pinterest, this ultimately led me to their websites where I found the images that I decided to recreate. I learned by researching David Cahill that his work is very unusual, this unusual feel is created by the items in his work and how they are positioned. His work also has a very nostalgic vibe. When researching the work of Donald MacDonald, I realised his work is drastically different from Cahill’s. MacDonalds work is more muted in his colour palette and are more simplistic. From researching these artists, I explored more with lighting and angles. I then researched Jean Baptiste Greuze in order to recreate her painting “June Fille Due De Dos”. I used this image as my inspiration for my recreation of a dutch masters painting, researching Grueze lead me to experiment even further with lighting.
•As my work has developed, I found that I have became less critical and stopped over-analysing my work as I used to believe my work had to look a certain way. However since doing the Inspired by Art section of this course I realised that I can be more expressive and experiment more. I became aware as well that even when recreating a photo, I would always add my own twist and my own ideas were also visible.
•During this block I experimented with various lighting sources, one of the lighting sources that I enjoyed working with the most was the gel lighting. I used coloured gels when I was attempting to recreate a portrait, using gels at first was very trial and error as it was not working particularly well at first, however once I was more comfortable using them I believe I created a really nice image.
•To refine my work I started taking more images than usual, as well as taking photos from different angles and changing smaller things rather than making drastic changes. I changed small things such as the angle of lighting, aperture, how close the light source was to my subject etc. I changed minor things because I felt minor changes still majorly changed the image.
•My investigation changed in that instead of just looking for a painting and its name, I looked more in depth to the artist/photographer and would look more into when the painting/image was made, what the artist used to create it etc. I feel in doing this it helped me to recreate the image better and create an overall better outcome.
• Habits Of Mind I’ve exercised the most: Persisting, Taking Responsible Risks and Thinking Flexibly. I used the persisting habits of mind most as I was persistent to get the outcome that I wanted and didn’t stop until I did.
•My final outcome for this project was to have high quality images that looked professional that still showed my creativity and skill through them. I am not overly pleased with the outcome, however I do believe I met my desired outcome. I presented my project to my Tumblr blog, my social medias and also the online submission areas.
•I was hoping to create images that looked like the images I was recreating, however I was also hoping to show my own ideas and creativity through my images. I believe this worked.
•Looking back I believe I successfully explored the theme, however while shooting the images I was unsure of what look and style I was trying to achieve.
•If I had more time I would’ve liked to experiment with the gels more as I liked the outcome of my image using them.
•My work is personal because even with the recreations, it was my take on the image and not an exact remake.. I tried to always a bit of myself in my images and not just replicate the artist/photographers work.
•I hope the viewers understand the idea from the artist/photographers work , but also my own.

Off the beaten track
Evaluation
The location we chose for the off the beaten track is “The New Forest”. It is a place I never had the chance to visit before but I have always heard about and I always been intrigued by. It’s a wonderful place and one of the best aspects that makes it unique Is the variety of landscapes and areas you can find. We stuck with a clear idea from the beginning, which was to make postcards.
Since we have different styles, I was not sure about how the cards would later turn out together but In my opinion, all work well together and they respect the goal and the message we wanted to communicate.
Making postcards is an experience never done and completely new to me. They are perfect for tourists, child and passionate people eager to come back to that place remembering beautiful memories. It was nice to interview the people we met and then be able to tell their thoughts through illustrations, photographs and videos.
I took care of recording Video sounds and I had fun doing the illustrations, trying new styles and working digitally. Overall I believe we worked well as a team, we followed a respective plan and we all worked equally.
I’m happy about how the postcards look like, they strongly communicate the message we wanted to share to the audience. In the end, they turned up how we expected them to be from the beginning. I found this project helpful. It served as a teaching and a way to try and do different things from how I work regularly. I had the chance to visit a beautiful place and I improved my skills in digital.

Project Evaluation + Reflection – 1500 Words
For this project we have been assigned to groups of four and were given the freedom to create any game we desired in the span of six weeks. Without a structure to base our game from, we began researching into multiple genres that all of us would enjoy producing. From a process of elimination, we came across the decision to create a comedy, fantasy role playing game which everyone had high hopes for. David then proposed the idea to base the game from a comedy show, Blackadder, however with a little twist; the characters will be portrayed as animals instead of humans. With no other ideas or objections, we agreed on the suggestion.
Split into different roles, I was selected the role of environment artist. However, the prop artist of our team is frequently absent, therefore I switched into prop artist and the whole team evenly distributed the environment artist’s work. The reason I took the role of prop artist instead of sharing the work amongst each other was because that we required a lot of props in our game which is also the main priority in gameplay. By taking charge of the props, it will be completed on schedule. The environment assets are not as important, as its main role is to make the game aesthetically pleasing. This will enable us to be on top of the environment artist’s work if he does not complete the assignments on time. As a result it has been proven really effective as the only work we received from that individual was a barrel without texture.
During the first two weeks of the project I noticed that other projects have been interfering with the schedule we had planned which dragged me behind on the character modelling. It was really difficult to keep on track of the planner, this mostly due to the fact that stylising characters is complicated. I did not expect that creating my own version of characters would require so much thought and adjusting. And since most of my models revolved around characters, it took me a long time to complete them. Although the modelling was the biggest factor of difficulty, the UV and texturing was pretty straight forward and did not cause any problems. For the characters, I used mainly flat colours and hand painted some clothing and details using the brush tool on substance painter. I also left out the arms, legs and eyes as they will be animated in Unreal Engine for a more entertaining effect. After finishing ten character models I noticed that I was incredibly behind schedule and had to scrap the hedgehog and weasel characters. The other team members did not object with this as they were also behind therefore it was the best option to get everyone back on track as it also removes implementing the dialog and interactions for those characters.
Having fewer models to do, I slowly caught up to the plan and finished all of my character models by week 4 andallowed me to move on to the next stage; props and environment. Unlike the character modellng, the props or environment assets does not need to be stylised. They can be based off existing props and shapes from games. I found that making these assets were a lot simpler than animals from my own creation and was able to speed through them. However, the schedule was altered by removing a few models. This lead to me doing; a tree, platform, wall, crate, closed barrel, open barrel and title screen instead of the other in game assets. Reassigning these tasks allowed me to follow up on things that needed to be produced of the highest of priority to grant the game the necessary assets for gameplay.
Throughout the whole project, I have stumbled upon many difficulties and challenges. One of which was the character modelling. It has been the most time consuming models to create as well as texture. However, I have enjoyed creating them as it shows off my style and my artistic flare. Hand painting these textures was very different than just throwing a material onto substance painter. It enabled me to customise the animals with my unique ideas and getup. I am very proud with the results of the final models, especially the badger and boar. I believe that they turned out the most promising and were exactly how I pictured them to be like. If I were to improve the character models, I would most likely be changing the queen squirrel mainly because of the texturing rather than the model itself. It was unfortunate that we had to discard some of the potential characters in the game as a result in lack of time, but I do believe that it was the best option for our current position we was in. In future, I would pay more attention to time management as it has shown to be our major downfall for this project. Since we have implemented comedy in the game, I had fun with modelling some bizarre characters such as a genuine electronic mouse rather than the animal. Although it was a simple model to produce, I enjoyed the comedy aspect of the model and how it appears in the game.
Following the character assets I also took pleasure in constructing the prop assets. They were very straightforward to produce due to the simple shapes. For the barrels and crates, I inserted a wooden texture from substance painter and then edited it to remove the seams from the texture and decorated them to look stylised. For the crate I added a black outline around the edges so it looks stylised rather than realistic as this was our approach to the theme. Similar to the crates and barrel, I applied a concrete texture to the wall model, and stylised it by drawing outlines where the bricks would appear on the model. The end results were pretty pleasing and I did not have any problems other than a small stretch on the wall’s UV when wrapped; however, I could not find a solution but it didn’t affect the quality of the model therefore it was not a big crisis. One thing I would have liked to have done if I had the chance is to learn and add animations to the assets in addition to characters.
On the other hand, I included an animation for the title page. This consists of just over a hundred frames of the main character, the fox, strolling through the forest. The scenes were copied and pasted with the silhouette moving in frames across the screen. It is a start to animation and test piece given that I have no experience with animation whatsoever. Visually, it was aesthetically pleasing and comprehensible.
Overall, the project was a success. We have functioning gameplay and we stuck towards the planner. As a modeller for this project, not many problems occurred on my side. This was probably because of how simple the models were as they were not required to be very detailed. This meant that emission or transparency was rarely used. But in the final outcome, it has proven to be aesthetically pleasing and blended well into the game. If I were given the opportunity to improve it for another project, I would like to have focused more on the props rather than characters. I noticed that the characters were more high quality than the scenery and environment, which ever so slightly distorted the way the game blends. Therefore with an even quality of props and characters, it will merge cohesively in the game’s visuals.

Project Evaluation - The Series
Project Title: Colour Me Emotional – my project is based on colours and their emotions and how people hide their emotions with masks.
Subject: I wanted to show how people in modern day society hide their true emotions from the world in order to seem perfect. I found out that there is a ‘golden ratio’ for faces, which is the structure of the perfect face – when placing it in front of most attractive celebrities; their face fits the scale. I also discovered different types of emotions and the colours that best represent them, for example, yellow shows happiness, green shows disgust, pink is feminine, blue is sad, red is anger, and orange is energetic. I wanted to incorporate these two ideologies together; therefore I used a certain colour tape, one a positive emotion and one a negative emotion on all three models, to structure the golden ratio onto the models faces as if it were a mask hiding their emotions yet showing their emotions at the same time. I wanted to emphasise the emotion in all aspects of the photograph apart from the obvious, which is the models expression. All three models expression for both positive and negative emotion would be emotionless, leaving the viewer to guess the relationship between colour and emotion. The emotionless facial expression is supposed to represent that people hide how they truly feel inside in order to appear as this perfect human – they wear a mask.
Aims, Objectives, Concept: I think it didn’t turn out as successful as I would of hoped for at the beginning due to the amount of time I gave myself to develop my idea. However, I am happy with the outcome and think it conveys my idea well. I feel like I could carry on with developing this idea to make it the best it can be, for example using other materials than paint and tape to work as a mask. I am pleased with the printing with it being the first time I used colour printing enlarger, along with using the hot press machine, I feel like I successfully mounted my work and kept it neat.
Form, medium, presentation: I used 35mm colour film for all of my shoots and used matte paper because I wanted to limit the amount of shine that gloss gives, and find it very distracting from the work – this way you get to see the entire image without any distractions in the way. When displaying my work, I imagined it being in a gallery space so I decided to put it into a grid of two by three. I used three different models and photographed two different sides to them so I decided to place the two different sides next to each other and the three different models on top of one another. I wanted to present it this way because it is an easy, free-flowing way of presenting photographic work. It also fits perfectly with having six different images and how I have photographed the models.
Research Methods: The internet was the main source of research for me this module. When browsing through my e-journal tumblr I came across photographers like Benjamin Vnuk, Moises Ramirez, and Alexander Smirnov, who used paint to create shapes and shadows on faces. This is what gave me the initial thought of using colour on people’s faces and then my idea developed on from there from feedback on my first shoot. I discovered Thomas Ruff during one of the series reviews and his portrait work with people that were personal to him but completely impersonal to the viewer, he photographed meaningful people with neutralised expressions. This gave me the idea to not give the viewer all the details of my series, when looking at my work they have to think about what emotion they are seeing without it be obvious from the models facial expression.

Victorian Window Lit Portrait - Project Evaluation
1) What was the project theme and what did you think of it?
The theme of this project was “victorian window lit portraits”. We explored victorian photographs where the photographers used window light as their only light source in photographs. I really liked this project as it was really fun to do, it was also a good challenge creatively trying to find victorian clothing and use window light as our only light source.
2) What part of the project did you enjoy the most/found the most interesting?
I found shooting the image the most interesting as it was interesting to figure out how to position the model to get the same lighting as my inspiration image. I also enjoyed trying to style my model in order to get her to look similar to a women in the victorian era.
3) What new techniques have you experienced?
I learned how to produce a well lit image using only window light, as well as including a reflector in a shoot.
4) What technique would you like to develop further?
I would like to develop my optimisation skills further, as the technique was different from what I was used to as we were exploring adding textures to our image to make it look more victorian.
5) What photographers did you research throughout the project?
During this project I never really looked at photographers, I more focused my research on the techniques and equipment that photographers used back in this era. This was to give me a better idea of how to replicate the images.
6) How have they influenced your photographs?
Researching this gave me a better understanding of what my final image had to look like.
7) What technique did you enjoy the most?
I found it interesting that I was able to produce images that were similarly lit to my studio portraits, however doing so with just the available window light.
8) What do you feel is the most successful part of your project and why?
I feel this whole project was successful as I am really happy with my final image and feel I successfully replicated an old victorian portrait, which also meets the requirements of the brief.
9) Did you encounter any problems in your project?
I did not encounter any problems in the duration of this project.
10) What habits of mind did you use throughout this project?
Imaginative - Playing with possibilities. Stying the model, etc. until I was happy that she looked the part.
Inquisitive - Exploring and investigating. To produce even lighting I had to continuously explore and try out different positioning of both the model and reflector.
11) What would you do differently given the chance to complete the project again?
I wouldn't really do anything differently, except experiment more with the styling of the model and even try styling and shooting a male model.
12) Discuss any technical issues with your final images?
I don't think my final image has any technical issues.
13) If you were asked to do a project using this technique what would you do? What new ideas do you have?
I feel if I were to do this project again I would try to shoot different photographs, like using a different and more difficult to recreate inspiration image. I would also like to try this project with a male model as I am used to just shooting female models, so feel like this would be really interesting to try.

BEYOND THE FRAME
PROJECT RESEARCH
Faig Ahmed, Liquid Series, Wave Function, Outflow and Stickiness.
Ahmed’s surreal sculptures incorporate ancient carpet-weaving techniques from his native country of Azerbaijan into forms that anyone would identify has hyper-contemporary. His intricately patterned weavings are mounted on architectural structures, fabricated in wood or plastic. Sometimes the stark contrast between white form and traditional tapestry is startling enough on its own; other times, Ahmed alters the patterns to suggest digital manipulation, pixelation, and distortion.

Project Title: Absence-Presence
(How did this develop from your working title and what was involved in the decision making process?)
Through the title Absence-Presence I have developed an idea that involves religion. At the beginning I wanted to explore different kinds of religions here in London by photographing their churches, but later on I decided to make a more personal project. As I’m from Cyprus I focused on my religion, and I have visited and photographed a variety of Greek Orthodox churches around London.
Subject
(Reflect on the subject matter of your project and the background research on this subject)
As the subject of my project is Greek Orthodox churches, my purpose was to show the presence of God and Jesus, through the atmospheric feeling that churches give, even though they are absent. By reason of, that I’m from Cyprus and this is my religion, this project has a personal connection to me. By visiting and photographing all the churches I felt that I was present back in my country even though in reality I’m far away. The research I did for this subject is reading and learning more about my religion, visiting the churches while doing a liturgy, and seeing some of the work of other photographers that worked with churches.
Aims, Objectives, Concept
(How and to what extent have you have achieved the aims and objectives of your project? Describe the main concept driving your project.)
By travelling around London and visiting a variety of Greek Orthodox churches has helped me achieve my finalized images. I went to St. John the Baptist church, St. Demetrios, St Panteleimon and lastly the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Cross & St. Michael. While processing and printing as the weeks went by I have gradually completed my final images. My first role of film didn’t come out as I expected, but as I continued shooting and developing I have succeeded my aims. At the beginning I was shooting from a distance, but I found it more interesting and eye catching when I took close up images of the unique detailing of the churches, as it was black & white film. This shows a different perspective of Greek Orthodox churches. If the project was with colour, the pictures from a distance would have worked out. But I can always do that in another project.
Form, medium, presentation
(What is the final form and method of presentation of your work and why did you make these decisions?)
For my project I have 9 images that I can use as finals. I have printed on Ilford B&W paper in Pearl. The reason why I chose this paper is because it gives a more contrasted finish.
Research Methods
(What methods did you use to research this work and how did this research inform your project?)
Researching for my project was by visiting and attending the Greek Orthodox churches liturgy, as well as, reading more information about my religion. This benefited me with the decisions on what I was photographing and why. Moreover, with inspiration from other two photographers I have managed to finalize my images by having a general idea on how to position the camera to get the best out of the pictures.
References
(How useful were the references you explored – the artists, writers and filmmakers and how do you they helped in the development of your ideas?)
Two photographers have stood out to me with their work for this project. Firstly, Robert Polidori and his exhibition Versailles, has helped me develop my idea further by his photographs of rooms and their hidden meanings that hold a deeper attraction. For Polidori, rooms are the mirror of those who inhabit them and their decoration and overall atmosphere reveals aspects of the soul and character of their owners. This is exactly what I attempted to do but with different areas of churches instead of rooms. I tried to show my own view of the soul, atmosphere and character of churches. I found his work very useful for my own project, because it made me realize how the position of the camera plays a huge role in a successful image.
The other photographer that has inspired me with her work is Candida Höfer. Her scrupulously symmetrical shots of grand libraries, museums, opera houses, and churches, cataloguing the poetics of interior space influenced me with my fist idea. The absence of human beings makes one uncomfortably conscious of the figurative sculptures adorning these rooms. Her photography benefited me on how to take symmetrically the architecture of churches but I decided to go along with the second idea, because I preferred this colour photography.
