We have 1300 miles on our PM and have nearly completed our camper build. Love the van, the way it drives, stops, runs. However, at 6’5” I‘m having issues with comfort while driving or riding in it. Both seat bases are lowered so I don’t get scalped in an accident by the shelf and so I can see stop lights. The seats are standard (ie not 6-way adjustable). My problem is that I can’t extend my legs straight and my feet fall asleep. Funny, we have a Kia Soul and I can drive that 10 hours without issue but in the van—1-2 hours and I have to get out to get blood back into my feet. I’ve tried sitting close, far, steering wheel up and down, I bought an ergonomic seat cushion, I’ve shimmed the seat up in front, nothing seems to help. I can get used to a different driving position, but not my feet falling asleep. After all the work I‘d hate to have to sell it now. Are the ford and mercedes vans equally uncomfortable to drive? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
