• At the end of Puzzle Bobble Everybubble, the dragon bros bond with Develon over a shared love of level design, then they come across a space colony with perfect playrooms and hyperfixate on making the ultimate levels to the point where their friends have to come check on them (the entire game is diagetic)

• Bob is a notable patron at the Rainbow Library, to the point where Liber mimics his vocal habits

• Vocal stimming (a trait shared by all Bubble Dragons and Bats Incarnate)

• Bub and Bob are actually cursed humans but being a Bubble Dragon is fine actually

• Sensory issues (especially Bob)

• Develon's lair is decorated with statues of the Dragon Bros as well as himself

• Vibes

Ah... a peaceful sunset.

Positive thing: I rested all day and felt much better.

Thank god for today. I completely passed out from exhaustion last night, hence missing my sky post, but I needed the sleep. Today I stayed in bed for most of it, had my leftovers, hung out with friends briefly who gave me ibuprofen, and finally played a viddy game. Puzzle Bobble Everybubble is really fun.

But yeah I definitely needed to have a slow day today. I was just told that my mom was re-hospitalized since her condition got worse, so that's been adding to the stress as well. I think she's probably been pushing herself too much to feel better since we all want her to get home. I told her it's okay if it takes longer than she thinks. It's not worth risking her health just to rush things. I'm glad she's at least at the hospital where she can be cared for 24/7 and not at the house.

Anyways, I never do too well with transitions, and moving is one of the big kinds of transitions. The physical toll is also pretty intense even without all the emotions involved. All this moving and packing was just running my body ragged. I'm looking forward to living at the new house but I'm also anxious about it in a way - I know it's going to take time for it to feel like a real home. And for me to be able to sleep comfortably in it. But I know it'll be okay in the end, I just have to hold my little timid heart in my hands and face the future as head on as I can, anxiety and all.

Oh! While I was out with my friends for corndogs I found a nice Miku figure at the Boxlunch nearby.

Another colour match puzzle game, Bust-a-Move (or the much better named Puzzle Bobble in Japan) is a well renowned puzzle series, with this being a port of the popular arcade version of Bust-a-Move 2.

Unfortunately, I had issues with this as quite a few colours looked similar to me. The game does use shapes as well – but they’re partly obscured by the puzzles, and the shapes spin around (and out of sync), so it takes me too long to properly check I’m aiming at the right colour.

If it wasn’t for this, then Bust-A-Move 2 would be a puzzle game that I would enjoy, and on top of competing against more difficult enemies (with little animations before each “battle”), there’s also a puzzle mode – but this is also against a timer, so my issue with colours persisted in this mode.

I’m sure this is a good puzzle game, but unfortunately my colourblindness gets in the way.

The fact of the matter is that you can start to play Bust-a-Move on Tuesday evening, stand up to go to the toilet five minutes later, and find out for some reason it’s now eight-o-clock on Wednesday morning. Capable of tardis-like time-and-space distortion, Bust-a-Move can take over your life and hoover up your spare time like a giant Dyson

It doesn’t really need a remake and the newest name in the series, Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! (they’ve moved to using the Japanese name worldwide) is out on Switch.

I bought Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! (2023) on release this year, but I put it down pretty quickly until today. I am extremely disappointed by it. It's not a very fun Puzzle Bobble game if you ask me, and it lacks a lot of modes and unlockables. I played Space Puzzle Bobble on the DS earlier this year as well, and that one is excellent. It blows this Switch entry out of the water in every way possible. Now there we have a great puzzle game. This one just kind of sucks sadly.

I was honestly getting way too upset about this, so I had to go out on the balcony to hang out with the plants for a bit. They're always good comforting friends. I re-potted the basil because it was starting to feel a bit sad too. I am glad that we can help each other out in tough times like these. On the bright side I did get a nice keychain when I purchased the game, so I guess it's not all bad. Silver linings and all that.

Me and my partner finallyyyyyyy beat the hard mode Baron's Tower in Puzzle Bobble Everybubble. I bought that game on launch in 2023 bro and we just now finally got good enough to clear the middle difficulty lol. Im starting to see the Matrix now tho and we came within 3000 points of clearing extreme on luke our 4th or 5th try, so were gonna kill that shit tomorrow

Speaking of getting killed, part of why I felt bad about buying Coneru on Switch the other day was that I had forgotten Shadow Labyrinth was coming out, but if backlogg is to be believed the game is like boring dog water so I guess I ended up with the better deal lol. At least Coneru is cute and funny despite her framerates. Plus there are tons of $30 games that I could spend that money on if I was spending it. If I'm buying anything though it'll probably be plushie though cuz there are new Rabbit and Steal Makeship plushies coming out and theres an Ancient Rabbit one with a cool bag and I'm like hrmm. The Yeti has really cool Yugioh merch too though fuuuckuh. Tell you what lemme start up my stream and you guys just afk in there for the rest of the year oke?

I dont remember if I posted yesterday. I feel like I missed a day. Irregardless, wolf dog growled and bworked at me today. I think cuz his owner was turned around when I tried to enter the room. I may try to say hello to him again tomorrow or I may just give him space. Ive been playing sooooo much video game. Im playing the fuck out of Slice and Dice, I'm making progress in Puzzle Bobble Everybubble again, and I'm still playing Freedom Planet 2 in chunks. That game is so, fuckinggg, gooood bro. It has a 10/10 on steam and I went in like 10/10 is a perfect score bro idk about that. But I think for what it is it may be perfect. Its possible

As a result of playing too much video game I havent been learning language, although video game is charging my motivation batteries, its really just a time issue. And focus I guess. But I just quizzed myself and I havent lost any Kana that I actually learned. All the gaps are ones that I technically looked at but never really learned learned

Thats not bad for being like 2 weeks out of practice I think. I should do my kanji before bed too. One a day isnt going great besties but it will be Okay

Absolutely beautiful skies today, finally somewhere away from the usual city I live in.

Positive thing: I met with some friends and they took me out of town and showed me around theirs, where I got to see actual hills and more of the sky.

It wasn't even that far from where I live, maybe about an hour out. My friend made a special trip just driving around the lakefront and showing me picturesque locations. What struck me most was standing way above everything else and being able to actually see the land below.

My friend also made matcha which was really good. We also played some games like Theatrythm and Puzzle Bobble Everybubble which were fun, especially Puzzle Bobble which I hadn't played before.

Overall it was just really nice to basically be taken on a trip out of town and not think about all the things worrying me constantly. I was especially touched that they had driven me everywhere - I usually end up being the taxi friend, so that was kinda just a personal treat.

I think in general it's always rare for me to feel completely cared for. In some way I always feel like I give, which isn't a bad thing because every interaction has some level of mutual-ness to it, but being a little pampered by someone else without feeling there's some kind of strings attached is a once-in-a-blue-moon thing. Even when I know I can give treats to myself, it hits different from an outside source.

In other news, after being shown lots of silly videos today I think I'll have a bunch of new phrases to spin around in my brain. Especially "where was Kingdom Hearts 2 during Hurricane Katrina?" and "top shelf zaza, disrupted my circadian rhythm".
