@lynksshadows30 A very blue egg! At first it was almost grey with only a faint glow to show any sign of life. It was a very scary moment for both Eclipse and Ruin, but after Ruin - using what little energy he had given he was pretty sick at this point - sang a small song of healing to it, it was enough to bring the egg from the brink and it slowly started to gain more colour and life!

How did Janet react when she saw Doey get frozen by that one pipe while looking for generator parts? Did she try to get him back to Safe Haven to rest?

She immediately went into mama bear mode and tried to warm him up with some leftovers of her red shirt.

Doey wasn't sure how to react to the immediate concern and help.

Would you care to expand your thoughts about the post credit scene? It is so interesting to me!

Hi! Of course but I've only seen the film once so I'm going off of what I can remember.

The father is just left behind because he's of no use to anyone. In his life, he was debt-ridden and couldn't provide for Agnes. Once he dies, her stepmother has no more use for him because she thought he had money. So Agnes just grieves, wanting him to be buried until the end, when the Prince comes for her. She leaves without even asking to have her father buried because she doesn't need him anymore.

In many ways, the father's corpse is just about Agnes. Out of all the women in the film, Agnes is noticeably tied to men. She needed her father as a provider and protector until she could marry. When he dies, she turns to the stable boy as a source of comfort, given her volatile relationship with her step-family until he's thrown out.

Agnes was determined to get to the ball because it was her only chance to escape her stepmother and get financial stability. Her crying over her father's corpse is what mends her dress and summons her mother to help her but ultimately, marrying the Prince, she isn't going to be liberated.

Leaving her father's corpse behind, Agnes moves on from relying on her father to relying on the Prince but he is vapid. Who knows how long he'll stay enamored with her because Agnes will age. In her royal married life, she will be expected to birth heirs. So she's moving from one cage to another.

Initially, I questioned if Agnes truly loved her father since she ditched him but now I realized that's not even necessary because these women are told exactly what to prioritize and value in life—love isn't in that equation.

Agnes isn't perfect and can be mean to Elvira but I am sympathetic to how she was treated poorly by Elvira and her stepmother. She's Elvira's competitor in a game that neither one will win—though Agnes has a bigger advantage in life by marrying into royalty. The sisters escaped that house but they've not escaped the oppressive structures of the world.

The one thing that I'm not sure about and haven't gotten around to more interviews with Emilie Blichfeldt for confirmation is the cake scene. It was rude as hell when the father threw the cake at Elvira. It doesn't matter that most of the table laughed, including Elvira. The stepmother of all people was surprised and didn't find it funny.

I wonder if Blichfeldt referencing the real life cake smash wedding prank. Idk if you know about it but it has resulted in divorces (and injuries!). So when that scene plays out, this is the first thing I thought of but then of course, he immediately died lol

I rambled a lot longer than I should have but I hope this makes sense!

Agradezco mucho su afán, la curiosidad, el gusto e interes a mi persona y publicaciones. Si es verdad hace algunos años estuve ahí motivado por una gran mujer y escritora de Portugal a publicar en Google atravez de un foro de expresiones llamado G+ (más tarde por política de dicha empresa fue desaparecido.)  Pasó algún tiempo y de manera particular; luego fui alentado a ir a la plataforma rusa VK y publicar atraves de una comunidad considerada literaria. Mi participación fue corta pues eran constantes desavenencias que se volvió un lugar hostil, ignoro lo que usted dice; hacerca del comportamiento de esa persona que señala y demás personajes que nombra. Y por lo que fue así que decidí abandonar de acuerdo a mis convicciones esta comunidad. Ignoro si en la actualidad exista, de ser así mis mejores deseos para cada uno de ellos. Le comento que más tarde; no se porqué causa o razones mi blog fue eliminado, perdí el interés y jamás volví a crear otro. Ahora a la fecha sólo estoy aquí. En esta gran empresa y red social Tumblr. Oh boy do i have some things to share about the swap version! :D<

So this is another concept i've been playing around with behind the scenes for a while now! A version of the mer au where Eclipse is the mer, and Ruin is the robot!

In this version, Ruin is a lighthouse keeper on a small island only a mile out from the coast. He lived there alone, tending to the lighthouse and doing usual duties required for his job. He often does evening and late night patrols around too, checking the beach and a specific cave hidden in the cliff by the beach that has been used by smugglers passing by before to store stuff in. He has more than a few run in's with such people, but knows how to deal with them. For the most part anyways! It's never a pleasant experience though.

Until one day, while checking the cave after a nasty storm he finds an injured and very angry mer curled up inside. Now Eclipse is a mer who lived a solitary life for a number of years after being exiled from his original pod when he accidently hurt a pup, nearly killing it when he got into a fight with another podmate. Having gotten caught in the storm, he suffered a bad head injury (which would later cause memory trouble)

After being found by Ruin, Eclipse would chase him out but Ruin would return to check up on him, and would start bringing food and eventually medicine to help Eclipse recover when he started to get worse. Eclipse being too weak to put up a fight would begrudgingly allow this weird metal man to help him, and Ruin would end up sort of befriending this grouchy mer.

Once fully healed, instead of leaving as Ruin expected him to, Eclipse would stick around and live in the beach cave, only leaving to hunt for food. While Ruin would be a bit bewildered by this, he's not oppsed to having a new neighbour on the island! He enjoys the company and Eclipse would prove to be a very effective guard dog against those pesky human smugglers storing their goods on his island and threatening his job. (Plus Eclipse will quite gladly eat human he's not fussy)

Eclipse will sometimes accompany Ruin on his rounds too, usually sneaking up behind him and giving the poor robot a few frights before he got used to it. And gradually Eclipse would start to join Ruin in the lighthouse, and even make a nest for himself in one of the rooms! But the beach cave would remain his primary home until sometime in future, they grow close enough for Eclipse to move in permanently. :3

Seeing that Billie-Anne visits Janet sometimes, were one of these visits how she met the toys?

It was a bit of an awkward first meeting.

Billie was on her bike passing by Janet's house on her way to the grocery store to get herself snacks, when she noticed Janet outside taking out trash.

She then immediately booked it towards her, absolutely sobbing.

She was in the middle of frantically asking Janet where she went and why she was hurt when she noticed movement behind her and then... uh.

... Even more questions emerged...

I got some tips from my friend and also I learned from YouTube videos! Here are just two channels that helped me learn!

It’s always good to study the basics before jumping right in! Do animation practices, trust me! I am still learning as I go too, since I’ve only started a few months ago! Keep practicing and don’t give up no matter how tough it may be! ✨
